I think the reason I'm a bit iffy about most zutara shippers who call themesleves "pro Katara" (and lets be honest the tags pro katara/katara deserved better are mainly people building themselves a moral highground of "if you disagree with me, you clearly dilslike Katara and want her to suffer") is just the hypocrisy of it all.
Katara's consent was violated by Aang, yes. But Zuko threatening her and being a fucking creep in the "I'll save you from the pirates" scene was sexy and not at all the nightmare of any sane woman.
Katara's role as a healer is treated as her acting subservient and her loosing her feminist icon status. Unless she's healing/offering to heal Zuko.
Aang is immature and childish. But we will handily ignore Zuko, a whole ass 16 year old who's heir to a country throwing a temper tantrum because his girlfriend dared to speak to another man. [Frankly, in my opinion, Zuko isn't really ready for a serious romantic relationship, but yall arent ready for that conversation]
Aang is supposedly misogynistic, but Zuko's many instances of actual misogyny are swept under the rug. Aang is shown in canon to be incredibly supportive of Katara defying the patriarchy.
Supposedly Aang makes Katara do all the housework. Despite there being evidence to the contrary. Zuko has just recently learnt to brew tea.
Katara being the Avatar's wife is supposedly degrading. But if she were Zuko's wife, I'm sure she wouldn't be just a baby maker. (What a horribke thing to call a woman btw. Tall call your own mothers baby makers too???) Despite the fact that Izumi's mother hasn't even been mentioned by name in tlok. But yeah. She'd be afforded the respect she deserves I'm certain.
Aang is, on most accounts, supportive and respectful of Katara's opinions, even when he disagrees with them. Zuko openly mocks people who oppose him. I am going to make a longer post on the Southern Raiders episodes and how all of you watched that episode blindfolded or smth.
Aang comparing Appa being kidnapped (his last connection to his genocided people, the last vestige of his happy past) to Katara's anger over her mother is bad. But Zuko comparing mommy leaving his ass to Katara's mother getting brutally slaughtered in front of her ? Silence.
Aang supposedly needs Katara to mother him and that's a bad thing. But Azula, Mai and Ty Lee having to gentle parent Zuko almost everytime they interact is never talked about, despite the uncalled for verbal abuse that trio goes through from him.
Aang and Katara's 2 year age gap is creepy. But Zuko and Katara's 2 year age gap is fine. My bigest gripe with Zutara lovers is them completely erasing Katara's childishness and immaturity, in order for her and Zuko to have this mature, sexy relationship. She's 14, guys. 14.
This post really isn't meant to decry Zutara. I just want people who ship Zutara to get off their high horse of feminism and to accept that they're no better than the rest of us ship loving freaks. Wanting the main girl to bump uglies with the broody emo twink doesn't make you a modern day suffragette. Disliking a main canon pairing isn't a measure of your love for a female character.
Grow up.
Enjoy your ship like a normal person.

Look, I'm a cishet and not a queer individual by any means (I do have some characters that are LGBT and are friends with queer people tho) but why does it feel like such a crime that Vivizepop won the Queerty awards (Maybe she did but I'm not certain, could be nominated)? Like there are other great shows out there that probably have much better representation for people who are gay yet they chose this piece of human garbage to be award as "SUPER COOL QUEER SHOW FOR QUEER PEOPLE!!!"
"Helluva boss has great queer representation!" Yeah I don't think fetishizing gay characters and oversexualizing them and putting them through abusive situations that are, according to viv, super hot are not best representation at all.
Hell, I don't think that a lot people who are gay don't want to be fetishized/oversexualized at all, they just want representation that treats their sexualities with respect and not get treated badly for it. They're are not something to make fetishes on, they're people just like us and we gotta respect them, like how hard is it to make good representation without sexualizing them Viv?
Them being put into abusive situations is not the problem if they're treated in a serious light, but the fact that Viv doesn't treat any of the subjects she has in any of her shows seriously and treats them like jokes is something I'll never understand on how she managed to fuck that up.
This might sound a bit out there, and I apologize for that, but I felt like I needed to get this out of my chest in some way. (Feel free to disagree with this opinion)
BTW, people who are in the LGBT, I got a message to say to all of you: Y'all are valid!

⭐️ What qualities of yours you can use to upgrade your life? MINI PAC READING ⭐️
Pick a picture using your intuition:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pile 1
You may be a perfectionist, may also have this desire to constantly improve yourself, but at the same time you may be indecisive and doubtful when it comes to changes in your professional life. You may prefer hard work, the sure, but long and steady road instead of a risky decision that may cost you all the hard work you’ve put in your previous endeavours. I feel like this is definitely the right path for you tho, the non risky one. You are consistent in what you do, you may feel like cannot afford to have bad days/ mess ups. You’re responsible with your finances which may help you in all aspects of your life in the long term. You may be a bit of a workaholic and sometimes brutal in pursuing your goals, try not to slip into extremes.
However, your luck stands in accepting your « faith » and surrendering to the fact that you have to really put in the work in order to succeed in what you’ve wished for. This is the hustler pile, not the nepo baby one.
When you do that, more opportunities and abundance will flow easily into your life. Your hard work and talent will be rewarded by the right people if you stay consistent all the time, no matter what.
Pile 2
If you are attracted to this pile, check pile 3 as well
You may appear like you are a bit lazy & empty headed to some people, howeverrrr, in your case this is not a bad thing at all. People may be projecting qualities on you. In reality you may simply just be a confident person who happens to look loving, soft& helpless. Do not fight this, use it to your advantage and plan your moves ahead, as it may awaken others’ desire to help you and give you stuff, especially male figures.
You may be an honest and direct person, which in my opinion, are great qualities for one to posess, sometimes you may need to tone it down tho. Pick your words wisely.
You need to deal with your subconsious limitations and learn how to accept help from others so you can grow and upgrade. You may not be the most adaptive person, you may need to change that in order to succeed. Value others’ point of view/opinions, try not to appear argumentative, if you disagree with someone, better keep it to yourself.
Pile 3
If you are attracted to this pile, check pile 2 as well
For some reason I feel like pile 2&3 are related.
You may be passionate when it comes to what you believe in, you may be one of those people who are not afraid to voice their opinion and say everything that’s on their mind, those who have no filter when they speak.
You may have unmovable positions on certain topics. I am getting again this exact message from the previous pile: you may need to learn how to be respectful of others’ opinions and maybe change your views on some things in life. The fact you’re honest and direct does not mean you have to be arguing with people who do not share the same views as you or shoving your views in their faces, not every fight deserves your participance in it.
When you learn how to adapt in different groups/situations, transform and leave the past where it belongs: in the past; that’s when you can find your fullest success and happiness. (your old ways\coping mechanisms may be a lost cause/keeping you at a certain level, stopping you from getting to the next level..)
This was all from today’s PAC reading. 🌟 hope you enjoyed it!

One Challenge For People Who Deny Transandrophobia
I have one challenge for anyone and everyone who denies transandrophobia for any reason that has to do with transmasc advocacy allegedly harming trans women. Seeing as you all are very adamant in your stance against trans men demanding basic respect in queer spaces, this should not be difficult for you to do if you have thought about your reasoning for holding such opinions.
My challenge for all of you is to answer this one question:
What is one way that transmasc activism harms trans women directly, or is transmisogynistic in some way?
Now, because I know that some people will put together words that don't make sense to avoid answering the question but sound intellectual, here are some logical fallacies that your answer must avoid for me to consider it completing the challenge:
You must not include any criticism of the word transandrophobia that does not meaningfully engage with the activism and discussions that trans men have been having.
No comparisons to any sort of hate groups (MRAs, TERFs, etc). Point out the specific ideas that you disagree with instead of saying "this is just like [x]."
You cannot cherry-pick the concept of intersectionality or cite any particular white woman's interpretation of the ideas proposed by Kimberle Crenshaw to discredit transmasc advocacy without engaging with the new ideas we have put forth.
No whataboutisms; do not base your argument around the idea that trans women should be centered in trans men's spaces and discussions.
Avoid making use of a strawman. Try to think of the most compelling argument you've seen for the existence of transandrophobia and refute that instead of trying to attack the weakest possible argument (that probably hasn't been made in good faith).
Acknowledge the fact that closeted, non-passing, and passing trans men exist, and do not treat non-passing trans men as having a less legitimate male or trans experience than those who pass. Don't bring up passing trans men to say that all trans men have male privilege, because just like trans women, trans men who pass still face transphobia.
No projection of cisgender dynamics of gender and sexuality onto trans spaces, as while those aren't totally irrelevant, they are irrelevant to whether or not transandrophobia is a thing that exists.
Acknowledge that trans men are oppressed by misogyny, just like trans women and transfems are. Also, acknowledge the existence of intersex trans men and trans men of color.
Don't bring up individual trans men who have done certain bad things that do not implicate the entire area of transmasc activism or transandrophobia theory.
Do not mention Israel or Palestine, or bring up other irrelevant issues that you may disagree with me or other prominent trans men in these spaces on.
As stated, all that I am looking for is one (1) argument. I have searched through a lot of posts, a lot of articles about this subject, yet I have not found one coherent argument that avoids basic logical fallacies and doesn't just throw words together to sound like it's refuting anything. I can and will respond to all of the arguments that I get that fit this criteria. You can send them to me in asks or in the notes of this post.

i think that this tweet is art. i do NOT mean that i think the picture itself is art - i mean the tweet. i'm sure many people (probably including the shitposter who posted this originally) will disagree with me but i'm going to give you a quick surface level explanation of why i feel this way.
first of all, we're greeted with this vapid little soundbite of a comment. i think the cultural awareness of the piece in question makes this hollow comment with plasticine emojis ring even more frictional with the original work. instantly, we're given a stock, throwaway "wholesome" twitter caption to lead us into the "finished" work. there's something very interesting to me about this contrast - typically, captions like this are intended to be uplifting but shallow. their purpose is to bring attention to a little bit of context, gear the audience to feel a certain way, and then bow out, forgotten. this caption instead raises multiple ideas (incorporation of generative AI, the concept of "finishing" a piece that was intentionally left unfinished by its deceased creator) that are guaranteed to draw aggression from a large number of people
the contrast, then, of this piece is informed by multiple factors beyond it itself. it assumes the audience will have not just a familiarity, but a predisposed reaction to this kind of post - a kind of absent-minded, agreeable reaction to stimuli. in my opinion, this works to call into question the immediate context of the tweet:
Tumblr media
the piece is framed as a quote reply to this relatively standard engagement farm tweet. as we will briefly cover, the piece uses external conversations and contexts to call into question the relationship people, especially online on social media, have to art, its creation, its value, and its place in society. what i, personally, find poignant is the way this then goes on to prompt a discussion on the original tweet for which the piece is an addition to - is it vapid and disrespectful, or perhaps generating a conversation and teaching people about the poignancy of art? is this conclusion in any way changed by its structure and intent, that of a twitter reply chain aimed to generate algorithmic presence and attention? is it less offensive to use the work of somebody who died of AIDS to boost your twitter metrics than it is to force your way in to "fix" or "finish" it?
the piece makes its intention to call external biases and topics into question almost immediately - the concept of "finishing" Keith Haring's unfinished painting, the nature of our consumption of art, and the AI movement and frustrations that it is a spearhead of a wider reification and commodification of art. what is rough must become polished, what is abstract must become literal, what is unfinished must, then, be finished, even if its nature as an unfinished work has been subsumed into the wider conversation around it.
this is, frankly, inflammatory. the author is clearly aware that the character they are portraying here is one who many people - even those who may not otherwise have strong feelings on the topic of AI in art - will take issue to and challenge. it is an idea that generates strong animosity for a wide variety of reasons. it is in this animosity that i believe interesting discussions can be raised. what, if anything, would we consider a respectful way to build on this piece? for example, is the display of Keith Haring's unfinished painting in a way becoming a part of or extension to the art itself? after all, the mere act of deciding to exhibit an unfinished piece by a dead person is, in itself, a decision that contributes to the discussion and perception of the piece in its wider social context. are there pieces of art we wouldn't consider disrespectful to complete, and is that effected by the tools and techniques used, the people who do it, or the meaning they put into it?
finally - the image itself. the layout of twitter as a platform quite literally frames the "finished" artwork, thrusting it at the viewer as if to taunt them. it is a work that simultaneously completes the original piece while adding absolutely nothing. there is no new visual language, there are no new ideas. the author has left no personal touch on their attempt at an extension of the original work - neither any additional commentary nor some reflection of relative personal tastes or skill levels. this is no botched restoration of jesus. the generative algorithm used has, paradoxical to its flawless reflection of technique, made some clear stylistic errors - the pattern extends out to the borders, shapes are remniscient of Haring's work on the original piece yet lack any kind of grounding or believability, turning into an abstract jumble of distantly familiar shapes. it is, somehow, only evocative of the piece that it literally is. the image presented has nothing to say because it, by its nature, cannot say anything. and yet it has generated such a strong set of reactions to itself.
most notable to this abstraction of intent, in my mind, is the way that the algorithm has covered the original's running paint. the paint dripping from the borders of Haring's handiwork conveys a grim message - his signature bold, controlled brushstrokes are in stark contrast to the sharp, thin paint, evoking a similar discrepancy to that of Haring's inspired worldview to his cruel circumstances and tragic death. this is covered in the "finished" version. like a forest paved over, the poignant, challenging, and uncomfortable are replaced with the safe and standard.
this destruction of subtext is painfully remniscient of a time where it feels as though iconography refuses to die, constantly recycled by people who couldn't give a single shit about artistry or creativity unless it has the potential to be more exploitable than any alternative. in this environment, ground must be retread as much as possible. there is no prior character undeserving of a spotlight, no location undeserving of a setpiece, no event undeserving of retelling, no dead man undeserving of sparing his work the airbrush. it is a total stagnation - no corpse may be left to rest in peace if there is the potential that it may be continually exploited for gain.
so, to cut myself off a little, that is how i feel. this piece is subversive, it is frustrating. it calls our preconceived patterns, behaviours, and biases into question. it raises potential issues over how we engage with art - both the corporate subsumation of it in our culture along with the smaller scale calficiation of art into a tool to prompt brief, unchallenging reactions during periods of engagement with the corporatised internet. it also challenges the current direction and application of artificial intelligence as, effectively, an easy tool for those who do not care to engage with art to extract value from it, which raises further questions about the exploitation of artists and labour as a whole in our society. i think it is incredibly interesting how so much meaning, feeling, and conversation can be generated by somebody shitposting on twitter

Okay!!
We are all aware here that characters can have multiple parallels with other characters. And that said parallels can be more overt/subtle than others and that their connections can be inconsistent or contradicting or reflecting. Right?
Good.
So.
AFO and Yoichi and BkDk.
There is no parallel between AFO and Kacchan's actions, only parallels in how Yoichi and Izuku percieved them.
Yoichi and Izuku parallel each other with their actions here because they both see the good in the world. Yoichi felt that he saw good in his brother, and Izuku felt that he saw good in Kacchan, despite any flaws.
Now.
AFO and Kacchan are NOT parallels in their actions.
Kacchan wasn't a bad person. He never was. He was simply viewing the world and himself in a certain way because of societal expectations and the environment he was surrounded with. These fed into his inferiority and superiority complexes. That was SOCIETY impacting a person. And since society did that to Kacchan, once he recognized that, he was able to overcome it and change and grow as a person.
Kacchan realized that society is broken and so he had to fix himself. He put effort into changing his view on the world and himself and that change is very clear in his development throughout the manga.
AFO on the other hand, wasn't changed by society. AFO has always seen that society is broken and only he can fix it. He was born thinking the world belonged to him--that the world was smaller, lesser than him. Anyone who didn't give him exactly what he wanted was considered a nuisance. The only reason he kept Yoichi around was because he saw him as his "thing". Like a little kid with their toy--they don't care about it much, but the second someone suggests throwing it away, or someone else tries to play with it, suddenly it's the kid's favorite toy now.
Kacchan's mentality as a child was "society is awesome and im even more awesome". But then as he grew up, he recognized that society was fucked and that it fucked with his perception and changed. His perception going against what society taught him.
AFO never saw that society shaped him. He just thinks that society is stupid and broken and only he can fix it because this world is his, and he's the overlord.
Yoichi and Izuku's characters parallel in actions and mentality towards AFO/Kacchan.
AFO and Kacchan's characters parallel in their relationship with Yoichi/Izuku.
Kudou and Kacchan's characters, meanwhile, parallel in actions and mentality towards Yoichi/Izuku. The symbolism of hands, reaching out, taking the hand, etc etc.
And yeah lol that's all I got.
--
Discussion/debate is always welcome, but ONLY IF KEPT RESPECTFUL. If there's rudeness in these comments/tags I *will* disable them.
There's a lot of varying opinions on this chapter, and that's okay. We can agree to disagree. We can discuss our viewpoints and the faults we may see in other viewpoints. But do not insult the people with that viewpoint. The viewpoint is for fiction; the people with the viewpoint are human.

i lowkey disagree w u on ur position on fictional ships and certain portrayals of topics such as incest and pedophilia, but oh my fucking god to have the fucking. AUDACITY to accuse someone of real life pedophila and incest because they MENTIONED being NEUTRAL on a certain topic?? like you didnt even say you think fictional incest is cool and rad or wtvr u afaik (which. even if u did that ask would Still be abhorrent) but ur explicitly Neutral and are VERY carful to tag shit and i just. 1/2
cut for length and also sensitive topics
i cannot fucking imagine accusing someone of such a horrid act with such conviction bc u SLightly DIsagree on a topic. jfc. i block tags and if ur conversations ever drive me over the edge id Unfollow. im so so sorry people are such fucking assholes man. i hope people gain some sense abt these topics im so sorry
yeah no i completely respect your opinion. and i do know where it's coming from. to tell you the truth (basic decency of tagging triggers aside), i DO find most of those fanon portrayals to be cheap and uncalled for a good majority of the time, at least from a literary standpoint. things like dating a minor or your own sibling have serious implications on a character's moral code and interpersonal dynamics where most characters would... not fucking do that! and the moment you don't engage with those implications, it becomes either incredibly ooc or altogether shallow. some people act like a topic being problematic makes it inherently complex and rich, when it can be as tropey and flat as any other "safe" topic. being problematic doesn't make you interesting etc. my point isn't arguing over literary value, it's more like... there's people behaving horribly and cruelly towards the AUTHORS, and making disgusting assumptions like the one that was made against me, all because of fiction you can always filter out at the end of the day (assuming basic tagging etiquette is respected ofc) and like. that's too far. nobody deserves to be treated like this.
not to mention, the "incest fiction recs"/"pro incest posts" those freaks mentioned were literally 1) me gushing about revolutionary girl utena, a deeply feminist and self-aware series that unpacks the misogyny behind anime incest tropes by treating that abuse REALISTICALLY as patriarchal manipulation from a male relative and showing how the female victim suffers and emancipates herself from it and 2) me being annoyed that hs showed one of its characters suffering from csa without acknowledging it AS abuse, even when it would've been not just the morally decent thing to do, but also a genuinely good addition to his character arc (apparently it does do that in the endstory, but i didn't know it at the time). those are both posts about realistic, condemning, and well-thought depictions of incestuous abuse in fiction—which is the only way i ever enjoy the topic btw—but that didn't stop these people from deciding i had an incest fetish and harassing me for weeks on end to the point of accusing me of sexually abusing my teenage brother. like you said, it would be a ghoulish way to treat someone even if their assumption had been right (and it wasn't), but it's like they saw the topic being mentioned and that fact alone was unforgivable, regardless of context. and this crap happens to people all the time! if that's not fucking stupid i don't know what is

A little collection of fun things Judd does
Tags: fem! Reader, mentions of drugs, alcohol, pyromania?, just Judd things yk, maybe he should be a warning in himself, there’s like one brief mention of sex, generally creepy behavior, Judd being an unironic edge lord, author was sleep deprived
Playlist: I made him a fun little playlist, I tried very hard not to be biased and add songs I actually think he’d listen to instead of just songs I like lol
But! if you’d like to listen to some of Judd’s jams, you can do so HERE
Summary: part 2 to my Judd hc’s, read part one HERE
Author’s note: this,, just came to me. I’ve been taking random thoughts I had about Judd and added them to a docs document, and would you look at that! These hc’s wrote themselves! I think I babygirlyfied him a little bit, but yk what? He is my baby girl 💪
Just Judd things
Word count; 1,9K
Tumblr media
Judd birch is known for many things, one of them being his smell
He always smells a bit.. funny
Not bad, just kinda like raccoons and alcohol, it’s an interesting smell
Often he also smells like some kinda polish, either because he’s been polishing his car or his knives
I’m sorry if I ruin y’all’s illusion, but he DOES NOT shower unless absolutely necessary
He only really showers if someone (probably you or his mom lol) tells him to, or if he had a particularly sweaty workout
Also, he would never admit this but sometimes he showers just to impress you
Always carries that certain Judd musk yk
He’s also one of those guys who washes their face like once every full moon but somehow still has flawless skin
If you ever convinced him to let you do his eyeliner, he would also not wash it off, just let it sit there and bake unless you washed it off for him
Anyways
Judd is mean as hell, a gaping asshole in his own words
But, he does respect his family somewhat
Even loves them a bit, if he’s being completely honest
Especially Diane
He holds a strong sense of respect for his mom, way more than his dad
It’s not like he’s gonna stop making low key misogynistic jokes for shits and giggles, but he often tries to dial back the cursing in front of her
Like he values her opinions and praise of him the most out of his family
He’s also super protective, mostly of his younger siblings
Like I mentioned before, he definitely has that kinda “edgy” humour
The guy probably says a lot of controversial stuff just to get a reaction
He literally pretends not to be a feminist just to piss off leah
(In reality, he genuinely doesn’t give one single shit about feminism)
Likewise he also just disagrees with whatever his family says just because they said it
But he will not hesitate to physically or verbally beat anyone who starts shit with his siblings
Forget all about is asshole-ness and such, he will obliterate anyone who hurt his siblings
Only he’s allowed to fuck with them lol
When he told Nick “you’ll die when I say you die” he really meant it
He actually also values the raccoons quite a bit
When he goes on his drunken rambles, they’re always there to listen yk
He has friends,, kinda, like he has people he tolerates more than others but he honestly doesn’t mind doing things alone
He enjoys his own company
But also the raccoons
It’s like a mentally unstable girl and her support cat, Judd just has his gang of raccoons
(He tells them all his secrets)
I feel like he would genuinely enjoy the company of an animal way more than people, not limited to raccoons
But he’s not nice to them, he’s never nice to anyone he cares about
He’s just doesn’t grasp the idea, being nice verbally means nothing to him
He’s a man of physical and action-based affirmations
It’s the little things that counts for him
Unless he knows someone who values affirming words, ect his family or girlfriend, he will very rarely go out of his comfort zone to grant them such
He’s so awkward verbally stating his feelings too omg,,
“Dad.. I.. love you..?” He’s like that each time he tries to come across as sincere, it’s like he’s questioning it as he’s speaking lol
He was like that as a kid too, he’s always just enjoyed creeping people out
He takes pride in his weirdness
The guy is very morally grey, the only thing he truly wants ever is the cause chaos
Or inflicting stress/pain on his siblings somehow
He doesn’t rough Leah up like he would with Nick, but he knows just how to get into her head
That’s another thing, he knows everyone’s business
Literally
Between hiding in the vents, being the designated dealer in town and generally the quiet kid in school, he knows what everyone’s up to
Even Nick and Leah’s friends
Knows all their names too
His parents definitely took him to a psychiatrist when he was younger, he was a very difficult child to deal with
Think gremlin meets Chucky
That’s baby Judd
His parents supported him though, and still do
Elliot especially tries to take interest in whatever Judd likes, bands, movies, setting things on fire, ect
Also, music wise, I think he’d really like the misfits
Probably also three days grace and oooh, definitely rob zombie
He just strikes me as that kinda guy
But also, he doesn’t know shit about the hands he listens to
He doesn't care enough to get into the people behind the music, you could literally ask him who’s in the band who wrote his favourite song and he wouldn’t know
Takes the term “separate the art from the artist” to a whole new level
If he doesn’t listen to music, he’s the type of dude to literally put “horror movie ambience” or “pov you’re getting murdered asmr” on or whatever the fuck
Also, he’s the type to strictly listen to music on YouTube, with adds because he doesn’t want to pay
He only has burner phones anyways, so he has to listen to music on his computer or whatever, he has a shit ton of obscure cd’s in his car though that he listens to as well
And on the topic of phones, because of his less than usual choice, literally no one has his number
Probably only Leah has his number? I feel like he’d only give it to her and maybe his girlfriend if you’re lucky
Leah has to text him like “mom says dinner is ready in 10” or “dad told me to text you to please come home soon” stuff like that, and she’s so done with it
He somehow has everyone’s number though
You’ll randomly get a text if he needs you, and he never tells you who it’s from
He will literally text you “I’m in your house” without any disclosure
Maybe he’ll add a few blurry pictures of something in your house as well
Oh but if he’s actually trying to scare you, expect pictures he took of rotting roadkill or a bloody ziplock back or something he found
He just loves gore and violence <3
Another thing he really, really, enjoys is scaring people
He deliberately hides behind doors or curtains to scare his family, he’s also really good at just being super silent?
If he doesn’t want to be found, you’re not gonna find him
If you sleep over at his house and use the bathroom by his room to brush your teeth, the fucker will be standing behind you in the mirror when you come up from rinsing your mouth
He scares those he cares about, what can I say
Well he also scares everyone else, he’s kinda feral
As I said before, it’s not like he doesn’t socialise at all, bc like, he’s literally everyone’s dealer
Idek where he gets his stuff from, but everyone knows Leah and Nick as Judd’s little siblings because they have bought from him one time or another
Not only limited to drugs, he also always has alcohol
(He robbed a liquor store)
Somehow they never found out it was him?? Even though it’s exceedingly obvious and he keeps doing it every other week or so
Some of your dates casually turns into “hey let’s rob a store” and it’s actually so chill
As a consequence of his never ending supply of Jack Daniel’s, he’s like chronically hung over
Always kinda tired and complaining that his head hurts
Literally has a hangover 6 out of 7 days of the week
He also has a bit of a pyromaniac streak
Sometimes buildings in town just sorta,, burn down
I feel like people in town know it’s Judd, but the police force is actually useless so again, he never gets caught
Actually he got caught once, because he was high and accidentally left a lighter at the crime scene
It was before he turned 18 though, so he got no major consequences besides like a night in jail and being grounded for a really long time
I imagine that might have been why he ran away? Man’s didn’t want to deal with the aftermath of his own consequences
He actually really likes consequences of things, just not when it actually turns out to be inconvenient for him
But like, he’s really fascinated by watching things slowly unfold if yk what I mean
He’s quite a patient guy, he literally had the patience to train a whole ass battalion of raccoons
But my point is, he can wait a long periods of time while plotting his sinister plans
He’s a supervillain at heart fr
And as I said before, he exists to cause chaos
I feel like he would literally worship the chaos theory, and he would definitely mansplain it to you
Judd doesn’t believe in god, but he believes in the chaos theory
That’s probably why he’s so into horror, but like a certain kind
He doesn’t really care too much about paranormal or psychological horror
He still watches it, but it’s just not his favourite
What he really loves, is the gorefests
Murderporn if you will
He lives and breathes bloody slasher movies, where people get pointlessly murdered left and right
Literally the more gritty the better
Especially if it’s one of those where all the women gets murdered with their tits out
Horror movies makes him horny help—
No but actually, he’s so annoying to watch them with, because even if it’s a movie he likes HE WILL NOT STOP COMMENTING
starts muttering every other minute about how that flesh wound is not realistic and how it would actually look
How does he know this? You don’t want to ask
But back to the horny part, if you’re dating him, you almost always fuck to horror movies instead of music
If Judd puts on a horror movie, yk what he’s initiating
It’s either that, or he lets you choose the music in his car
Two very subtle, but yet very clear demands of what he wants
Another thing, he loves when you scratch him up
On his chest, on his back, anywhere
Just having those long, red nail marks on his skin does stuff to him
The same with leaving marks on you, he’s so into it
He needs you to be absolutely as bitten and bruised up as you can possibly be
And it doesn’t limit to you, no, no please, bite him back
He’ll love it
(People around you are slightly concerned)
Now I’ve just listed a bunch of things he likes, but like whatever he’s doing, he’s gonna seem super indifferent
He’s just,,, always scowling
My man’s not coded to show joy
Wait okay no, but like he can smile, it just looks unnatural lol
Sometimes, he even laughs (mainly when others are in misery)
But generally, he’s just pretty stoic
And also, he doesn’t truly have that many opinions on stuff
He literally doesn’t care, but that’s kinda expected for someone who’s biggest wish is to go permanently off the grid
Like, he could be delivered the deadliest insult ever, or see a house burning down or something and he would still be like ._.
It takes quite a lot to get him to move his face muscles, is what I’m saying
Generally, it’s gonna take a lot to get him to care about anything
Wow 🤩 more judd headcannons
These were a bit pointless ig, but I enjoyed making them haha, I hope you enjoyed it! And if you listened to the playlist, I hope that was alright too 💪

Hitting a nerve, again
Dear @outlanderfandomfollies,
You took an extraordinary amount of time to lecture me on your blog with regard to one of my comments about the (in)famous funeral pictures. This deserves a reply and I hope you will understand it is done in good faith, although I cannot guarantee you that my answer will be devoid of irony. I am who I am, even if my opinions clearly vex you: I am sorry, but there is little I can do to accommodate you in that respect.
Fair enough, then. I took a stroll on your two blogs yesterday and I have to say I am underwhelmed. The thousands of words, the hundreds of pages, all that Taj Mahal of wisdom so liberally, relentlessly bestowed upon us, ignoramuses, was not enough to shake my beliefs. And pardon me the approximation: trying to make sense of what you wrote left such a strange aftertaste, that I did not pay enough attention to such details. Stupid me.
I have to say I was just starting to enjoy your very interesting interpretation of Jungian archetypes as applied to JAMMF. It did also remind me of Richard Campbell's Hero With A Thousand Faces, to be completely honest. I wanted more of that: a non-biased and personal interpretation of a beloved literary character. So, I am asking you in all honesty: why do your approach and your tone change, from professional to patronizing, when you deal with this side of the fandom, including me?
You present yourself as an independent blogger within the OL fandom. That, in my humble opinion, is a bias and a lie. There can be no independence in the current context of cold war, with the "truthers"' side bucketing out insults on a daily basis, with no prompting and no provocation from the shippers. You probably know as well as I do how the spiel works, via multiple spy sock accounts, anonymous submissions often sent to oneself and yes, rivers of "stupid shippers, idiot shippers". You also know and yet keep complete silence about it, that sensitive information is always exchanged in DMs and private groups, primarily out of respect for the people concerned (and also because that is none of your business, Antis).
Your very peculiar orientation is also something that ethically nags me. Independent, yet aligned. I find this fascinating, truly: it reminds me of an Eastern European tyrant's game of promoting himself for years to the West as aligned with the Soviets, yet independent from them. True story.
Tumblr media
In the side note at the end of your long (loooooong) intervention about a mere comment expressing an opinion, you write:
Tumblr media
I am asking you and I would appreciate a serious, well-researched answer (a girl can dream): exactly which boundaries did I (and I really mean I, Sgiandubh, not "shippers": that is very cheap rhetoric and I expected better from you) cross by simply expressing an opinion that disagreed with your POV?
For comparison purposes, an example of a very recent, supremely suave comment on one of the major Anti players' blogs. We never read any well-articulated protestations from you on those, ever: it is as if they do not exist. Heh. Talking about bias, when it's all about hiding the Antis' garbage under a skillfully woven carpet of scientific jargon:
Tumblr media
And since you love side notes and caveats and all the critical apparatus paraphernalia, let me be very clear: I blurred the blogger's name on purpose, and not by cowardice. I blurred it because it is perfectly irrelevant, in this context and at the same time, very representative of a certain dominating vibe, in your camp, about OL's male lead. Something I believe you, as an independent (let's not forget aligned) blogger, should have no trouble taking a strong stance about.
Oh, the stench of intolerance, from the same person who wrote this, in 2016, on her blog:
Tumblr media
Yes, yes. I know you also wrote your opinions changed with time and adventures along this long-winding, twisted road. Yet, I cannot help but thinking that a walk down this particular memory lane could bring more serenity and more clarity to your fandom endeavors.
I have no wish to attack you and I am not the insulting type, unlike some of your fellows. But I also do not need a laissez-passer sealed, stamped and delivered by you (with which authority?), in order to continue my journey. I would be very happy to settle on a non-aggression 'we agree to disagree' , keep calm and carry on common ground. At the very worst, I will simply ignore you and would be very grateful if you did the same. I simply feel I owe you absolutely nothing, including my time and attention.
Cordially yours,
Sgian-dubh, stupid shipper

For the record does the Watcher thing going on mean it's immoral to consume Watcher content now?
this is a strange ask, and i'm also aware that this was sent before the update video came out and the news might change whether or not you care, so assuming this is a genuine question that you're asking because you really want my take on it (people try to ask "gotcha" questions in asks all the time, so you have to take things with a grain of salt), i will answer this genuinely.
it is not up to me, or anyone else for that matter, to decide what media in your life is "moral" or not. morals are complicated. morals are squishy. morals can and should change as you grow and evolve and sticking to one steadfast idea of what is right and wrong has gotten a lot of people in trouble for basically the whole of human history. it's up to you to decide what you believe in, while taking care to make sure that the same things you're standing for aren't the ones you're going to fall for. it's really important that you make up your mind for yourself about how everything from your politics and religion to what you buy and yes, what media you consume, fits into your own sense of morality. big picture shit-- that's how you become a well-rounded person who doesn't get taken advantage of by the countless people who want to sell you their ideas of right and wrong to serve their own motives.
it's hard, i get it, to not just say "well, xyz group of people says this thing is bad, and i agree with them about other stuff, so i'll just go along with them." we all bandwangon to a certain extent, whether for the sake of convenience or to be accepted by those we respect or many other reasons. i do this too, certainly-- there's no need to share every opinion you have on the internet with everyone even if it's not controversial.
but please, if i'm able to impress on you anything that you can take away from my silly blog, it would be that you shouldn't let other people decide what media is "right" or "wrong" to watch based on THEIR moral sensibilities. Use your best judgement and decide that for yourself, based on what you believe. Someone is always going to disagree with you. Sometimes a lot of someones are going to disagree with you. Don't let that stop you from exercising your right to have your own opinion.
Consuming a certain type of media does not automatically make you a good and/or bad person. Lots of bad shit happens in the bible. lots of moral shit can happen in a porn-filled 50-part destiel omegaverse mpreg deconstruction of gender norms too. (i'm making that second one up, but i have no doubt someone will send me an ask later wondering if i'm referring to a specific fic. no. but godspeed.)
i'm pontificating now. i like to take small things and make them into big, important things. that's my poison of choice. but yeah. this is a question you have to answer for yourself if you want the answer to mean anything real.

exactly, this! you're not forced to agree with me and i completely respect and understand different opinions. people need to realise that just because they don't agree with my rapist!simon headcannon, that it's not an excuse to disrespect and insult me. 💌
it's embarrassing that it's always the same points and insults. it's tiring having to reiterate certain things over and over again! and i do have reasons for my headcannon (*_*)... thank you for your support regardless, sweet anon! 🌷

I'm really tired of all the fandom confliction over the solarmoon ship-I personally don't ship it, but I do think the art is nice to look at, and while I don't ship moon with anyone in my aus or in cannon because of him being aroace in cannon, I think people should be allowed to have their headcannons without anyone being rude about it. If you look at what's going on in the fandom about this, it's really disheartening-some solarmoon shippers shutting down other people who believe moon to be aroace, others shutting down solarmoon shippers because they believe it to be incest or something. (This is not to say that the majority of people with these headcannons do this, I am merely citing examples-apologies if this comes off as otherwise.)
Honestly, the position people have on the ship depends entirely on their own perception of the show-i don't think people who ship solar and moon headcannon them to be siblings (though I certainly can't count as a representative for anyone because I don't dabble there too often), and those who see moon as something other than aroace are just following their own personal headcannons-to me the ship kinda just seems like the offset of an au-cannonically speaking, of course, moon is aroace. I don't think (or rather, I hope-somewhat optimistically, in lieu of certain circumstances) that people are arguing about what is cannon, but rather what the 'right' interpretation of the characters in general is-which sort of defeats the purpose of having a diverse fandom, because the point is to have different headcannons. And that means that sometimes people's own interpretations will conflict-and that's okay!-just please understand that your interpretation is not the only interpretation that there is. And that is not to say you can't block the tags or declare yourself against something-that's completely fine! But going onto other people's posts and arguing with them about their position, or barging into someone's askbox to chew them out for something that you percieve to be wrong is not how people go about things. Please treat other people and their opinions with the same respect that your are entitled to-no one is asking for a debate on headcannons, so please just keep your opinions to yourself if you disagree and block the tag.
I would like to apologize if this comes off as rude or passive aggressive, that is not my intention and I personally have no opinion on this matter-I am merely speaking as someone who has seen the effects of this conflict on the fandom. Also, thank you to the moderators of this blog for giving people the opportunity to vent about their opinions on the show.

How are people thinking that Verstappen doesn’t care?
I have a lifelong personal feud with the societal belief of how not crying or smiling hear to hear 24/7 with showing teeth means that someone isn’t happy enough.
But he doesn’t even have a resting face. I would understand other peoples’ point of view (while disagreeing) but I truly can’t right now.
He looks always happy and content. Even last race (when this discussion came up). Do we see the same person?
He also is one of the most educated drivers in the sport. He knows the countries, drivers and tracks better than most drivers who have been in it for at least 5 years before him.
He always celebrates with the team, smiles to the press too. I think that those who think that he doesn’t care are projecting. He looks like any other driver especially after getting used to winning. But he always looks grateful.
If anything, I have noticed that at least what his public image suggests, he doesn’t have many other interests aside F1 and motorsport.
Even Sainz, who got pole and arrived 3º in the race (his firsts of this season & at Monza!) somehow looked abnormally unfazed and the Sky Sport Italia noticed it and commented that he probably was tired. I could understand a curious reaction to him, but Verstappen? He’s good, what’s there to get confused at?
Is it because he doesn’t cry? Because he doesn’t act like his career depends on every detail even after being established?
With all due respect, he’s a grown man who has been winning since he was 17/18 years old and he still reacts positively and excitingly sometimes even. All the other drivers also don’t cry after every win. Especially after receiving the pole tire/prize , after the first or second time they look just normal with a smile.
And please, since multiple people have been naming how even Kimi reacts more than Verstappen; get over it, you know very well that he doesnt. Just because he cried a couple of times, it doesn’t make him more grateful than Verstappen. Listen to the differences in the way they talk and what they say. I am going to leave it here, Kimi defenders know but pretend not to so I won’t rant about it. I am sure Kimi loves F1 and is somewhat grateful for it. But his attitude is not great and I am not referring to his nonchalance.
And let’s not make it a privilege issue as if Verstappen’s family was swimming in money just because his father was in F1 and had connections. They were surely at least upper or middle class but he had the sponsors (also thanks to his parents’ connections) and probably a freaking ton of them since he was winning literally everything (look it up, it’s seems unreal). He had the privilege that many drivers didn’t but he freaking deserved everything. He skipped F2 and won races in F1 a year later. That’s hard work being rewarded with opportunities. Sacrifices are still sacrifices. His entire life is around racing. His knowledge in racing is higher than other drivers too.
Sorry for the long rant, this discussion truly rubs me off. It’s based on a fantasy/imagination and it makes me angry that people over the age of 14 years old still think that you must portray emotions a certain way for them to be real and valid, especially because he is showing them. The “problem” is that he doesn’t cry each time. Plus, it takes for granted that he doesn’t have a personal life that affects him once in a while. Not only that, but he’s literally like every other driver, unless they are midfield or lower and struggling.
Edit: I suspected something when that one user wrote that he doesn’t care unlike Vettel as the latter won Girll the Grid and Verstappen arrived 2th, as if there aren’t 18 other driver behind him which would suggest that they literally care even less but doesn’t criticize them. But I was sure it was pretentious and not just a differing opinion when it ended with how he doesn’t care because he is a homebody who likes his cats and doesn’t party and drink alcohol (something not advised to indulge into too much for athletes). The eugenic belief that introverts are mentally insane or evil has bothered me for my entire life; I almost didn’t get the last phrase because it was very not relevant and completely out of pocket.

Hi! To preface: I don't think there's any one right or wrong answer to my question necessarily, but I value your opinion as a level-headed adult in this fandom who can probably provide sensible input on the issue I'm having, so I thought I'd ask.
If a CC asks for their character not to be drawn (specifically referring to fanart, which they likely saw on Twitter) in a sexualised way, what does that mean for written fanwork content? Is it "wrong" (putting this in quotation marks since that's a loaded word, to say the least) to write nsfw content about said character and post it on Ao3, considering the differences in visibility/CC knowledge of those platforms, as well as the general consensus/expectation that CCs don't generally read fanfic anyway? Where is the line between "you should respect the CC's wishes" (avoiding the word "boundaries" since that's also very loaded in mcyt spaces) and "you can do whatever you want forever; fanworks are created by and for fans, not for the creators" drawn? Does "just don't put it where they can see unless they go looking" (i.e. correctly tagged on Ao3, not on a CC-frequented site like Twitter) apply? Would it be better not to do it at all, or only create and share said content in private spaces like Discord? Or is this all a "there is no single 'morally correct' answer, make your own personal judgement" thing?
(Sorry for the long-winded question but this is genuinely something I'm struggling with right now, lol. As I said I value and respect your opinion and views about these kinds of things in fandom, so if you have anything to say on the matter I'd appreciate your input!)
Alright so, obligatory warning for discourse on this one right at the top, and possibly also long post. These tend to be me rambling.
This is a situation that I think it's fair that a lot of people disagree. Your personal comfort level with making NSFW content in general is not where my comfort level is, we can come to totally different equilibriums. And then you add in creators expressing that they don't like seeing NSFW content of their characters, and people end up in a whole lot of different places, whether that's a complete no on shipping or NSFW, or people feeling fine to consume it but not create it, or only if it's archive locked, or only specific ships or smps, or whatever. I think it's fine that we don't all agree on this, creation is a fickle beast and we are in a weird place as a fandom of being not rpf but kinda cousins, and we can get *really* close to the creators with twitch and twitter, so people's comfort level in meshing all the parasociality and roleplay and real life of it all can end up in a lot of different places.
I just think that the most important thing for the fandom being a healthy place to spend time on the internet is that we don't go aroud sending hate/abuse to those we disagree with. a) i don't agree with internet mobs or suicide baiting or anon hate in general, b) the number of times I have seen internet games of telephone happen when it comes to this subject is unreal. To use an example from literally today, I saw someone saying that Pac of qsmp pacmike was uncomfortable with shipping art and fic and we all should stop shipping immediately, and once I tracked it back to its source, it turns out that what had happened was the creator said that he wasn't a fan that all the art was of him in the jumpsuit that used to be his skin, he has a new skin now, which turned into sexy jumpsuit art was the problem, which turned into pac hates all sexy fan art, which turned into "pac is being bombarded with nsfw art and shipping and he hates it". Now he might actually also not like NSFW art, but that's not actually what he was adressing, but it was certainly what was being circulated! So like, people warning me off of certain subjects— how do I know that they're actually accurate or if twitter just went twitter on a passing mention of something someone said on a twitch stream?
So I think it's way way way healthier for us as a fandom to sometimes disagree on the subject of "what we're drawing/writing about" and when that happens we implement Don't Like; Don't Read, and we just ignore that, or block if necessary. Don't Want To See it? Simply Don't See It. It's a bad idea to start hate campaigns for sinners, and half the time it's based on bad information anyways.
But in cases that you do know that the creator doesn't want to see that, you found an accurate clip? So this is a case where I think that there's no single moral answer to this that everyone is gonna agree on. We're all coming at it from too many different cultural backgrounds and different streamers in mind and comfort levels with NSFW in general. I don't think there is a firm answer that is gonna make you morally safe. But my personal feelings is that in cases where we know the creators doesn't want to see that, I think the important part there is that the creator never sees that, not that we stamp it off the internet entirely.
I do think, personally, ymmv, that you are not necessarily doing anything morally wrong with drawing or writing NSFW of someone's character, even if they think it's weird. There's a long history of creators saying "you can't do [this] with my characters," and it happens to be you can't [make them gay] enough to make me uncomfortable in general principle with saying creator of the character gets to call the shots in all settings forever. This happened with Anne Rice and with the supernatural fandom and like— it's the internet, we get to make the characters be gay together. This is the making sex jokes about fictional characters website, and Ao3 is the making porn about fictional characters website. I think it's fine if it exists on the internet, the question comes down to one of what we're forcing the creator to see, or what we're putting where they'll stumble upon it. Like, examples from real life— if you have a friend who's vegan, it's polite to not spend time rhapsodizing about how good meat is around them, and if you know that meat makes them sick, it's polite to do a meatless meal around them. That's a human person you want to be okay around you. But that's their boundary for their life, not yours, so even when you're being polite you have no obligation to go vegan when they're not around. And they have a politeness obligation to not walk into a steakhouse and freak out because there's meat there. They have a boundary for their life, and I'm going to respect it, but my life is a different story, and they need to take reasonable steps to protect their boundaries and not just expect everyone else to conform to them.
Or walking by someone on the street and waiting till they're out of earshot and then going "jesus christ that guy was hot" to your friends— that's fine. That's normal human behaviour. What becomes rude is when you make it hot guy's problem and yell at him. Being attracted to someone in your own space is not a problem. I'm aroace, I am not going to be in a relationship with anyone. I'm not going to ban having crushes on me, as long as you don't make it my business. Talking about an attractive person in your own space is not a problem. Being sexual in your own space— and again we are talking about fictional characters, the way I see it, these are lies we're telling about folks that are not real, who live in little minecraft worlds— that's fine. The problem is if we start catcalling people about it.
When you walk into fandom spaces you are walking into a space where we all like taking fictional guys and telling stories about them and a good portion of those stories are going to include kissing. That is not necessarily baseline normal for like, all of humanity, but people talk about tv shows they watch as one of the classic work small talk techniques. Fandom takes the "I hope ted gets together with jessica" "no he needs to work on himself first" discussion and writes stories, is all, to share with each other. Privately. On our special private website where there's a button you can click to hide your work from search engines and another one to hide it from logged-out users. If you log into the website and search things up, no tags blocked, what you find is on you for saying "I will see literally anything that exists on this subject in a space meant for literally anything". You will find gore. You will find kissing. You literally just opted in to seeing it. That's on you.
So like, there's my little defense of nsfw work existing in general, I think it existing is not a problem. I do think that we should keep it FAR AWAY from streamers. They get to set the rules for their spaces, and if someone doesn't want to see sexualized fan art, I do think we should make sure that in a reasonable way, they never have to see sexualized fan art/fic.
So like me personally, I'm going to hit that Ao3 button to hide my work from search engines, and anything NSFW (or shippy, depending on the person) is not going to go into the main tags on tumblr or twitter or anywhere I'm aware that the creators ever check that tag, and I'd probably archive lock it if the creator had publically mentioned being uncomfortable with it, and if I was regularly posting NSFW I'd block the creators on social media with any account I discuss NSFW with. I want to make sure that I am talking to my friends about the cubitos, not catcalling someone.
And I would probably err on the side of caution when it comes to social media sites that creators are on? Okay so the fandom has a habit of saying that NSFW and Shipping is BAD and can't exist, on the one hand, but on the other hand it says that anything that isn't Bad Wrong Shipping/Explicit NSFW is fine, which leads to like— extremely sexy thirst trap art being drawn and then the creators are tagged. People putting family dynamic fics that really pushes that envelope in the main tag. Gahhhhhh????? No? Don't do that?
I think it would be healthier in the fandom if we did a lot more going "this is for the fandom, not the creator" and we don't tag creators on twitter, and we took our little kissing fics, or gore, or kidfic, or neurodiverse headcanons, or anything else it might be not for the creator to see, and we kept it in fandom spaces and away from creators. But Ao3 is that fandom space that you have to opt into, it's literally archive of our Own, for fans, in that space as long as you tag it you're good.
So the TL;DR of this all is that my opinion is that if you tag it correctly on Ao3 you're fine. Maybe archive lock it. Keep it off twitter. Don't make it the streamer's problem, and you're good.

QUICK CHAT ABOUT COD CHARACTERS AND THEIR MBTI TYPES PT 1.
Hi!!! So, I was just scrolling through Tumblr late at night and I saw some headcanons, where the creator mentioned Ghost's MBTI. It reminded me that I had a word file saved, discussing about the characters and their MBTI. But, I haven't finished it, so I'll just ramble some of my thoughts here instead.
I want to begin with Ghost. Seriously, I genuinely want to understand why people type him as an INTJ, the guy is not a Ni dom at all. And also, let’s just exclude here any chance of him being an INTP. But, I do see Ti and Ni in his functions. In my opinion, he is an ISTP 5w6. For those unfamiliar, ISTPs have Ti (dominant), Se (auxiliary), Ni (tertiary), and Fe (inferior) in their functions.
I'll be honest, this inferior Fe makes me doubt a bit because Ghost seems much more like a Fi user. However, considering that Fe is inferior and theoretically his weakest function, it makes sense. And, to me, what makes ISTP the most obvious choice is that this man really isn't a Ni dom or a Ne aux type. But like I said, I do see some Ni in him, but very weak, which excludes the possibility of him being a Ni dom, and adds the possibility of him being a Ti dom. But, he has zero Ne, so he can’t be an INTP. Just to clear things up, I don't think analysts can't be impulsive or that sensors are dumb, not at all. But they do have some tendencies, and you can see differences in how they deal/view the world.
So, let me give an example of a character who's an analyst: Laswell. She's the embodiment of an INTJ. Price and Ghost deviate so much from her. Both of them should have both Ni auxiliary and Ni dominant, respectively. The way both of them deals with Shepherd and Graves betrayal makes it very clear how they aren't intuitive types for me. They’re incapable of seeing the other side of the situation. And I know it might sound like a crappy argument, but speaking as a Ne aux, I always open myself to possibilities even if I DISAGREE, especially if I can benefit from it. You know who else does that? Laswell. A Ni dom. It's very clear her Ni/Te, and that's why compared to Ghost, I don't understand why people type him as an INTJ. Personally, I think Ti and Ni can be easily mistaken. And for me, Ghost's Ti is pretty obvious, the way he is practical, and how he analyzes things, and his Se aux helps him to be very aware of his surroundings (of course, there are more than that in Se aux). But to me? there's nothing more Ti/Se than that. I'll just drop here two brief descriptions of Ti/Ni dom that make me pretty sure Ghost isn’t a Ni dom.
"Introverted Intuition seeks underlying patterns that can predict how events will unfold in the long term. The primary goal is to understand cause and effect accurately, enabling confidence in problem-solving and avoiding causing issues. Individuals with this dominant function tend to be 'perceptive,' often capable of 'seeing through' situations by finding the 'real importance' or 'essence' or 'root' or 'meaning' of things and understanding the fundamental factors that will influence how situations unfold, connecting past, present, and future considerations in non-linear ways. They unconsciously seek vaguely familiar patterns of contextual variables and tend to gather multiple perspectives to synthesize and visualize 'the true truth' or a better version of life. In this way, they tend to be quite certain about how they want their lives to unfold, usually aspirational in pursuing meaningful goals with focus and determination as they seek to realize their personal potential."
"Introverted Thinking seeks to discover rules or direct formulas based on facts to guide thinking and behavior towards greater consistency and coherence. People with this dominant function tend to be highly analytical, preferring to adopt positions/judgments that are as free from biases or undue influences as possible. They often enjoy building skills and accumulating technical knowledge by systematically analyzing and deconstructing ideas/situations, preventing and solving problems, and manipulating systems to fix or enhance them. In this way, they can be dispassionate and self-sufficient in approaching situations with their refined knowledge, often admired for their calm and competent approach to solve problems. However, they may also become emotionally detached from situations due to the excision of the human perspective, incorrectly assuming it is irrelevant to their analyses. When people don't know how to use Ti properly, they tend to be overly reductionist, seeing only a simple cause for a complex situation and unable to recognize the gaps/flaws in their own reasoning process, especially when trying to understand issues in relationships and social contexts."
“The reason the two get confused so often is because, one: they are both introverted functions which makes them hard to see and distinguish, and two: they are both abstract. Ni collects and stores abstract information, while Ti makes abstract connections and conclusions.”
“Ni is a 'perceiving' funtion, which is different from Ti because it does not do the 'judging' which is Ti's role. Ni in simple words is seeing and thinking about things very deeply to find connections and therefore form certain hunches or predictions. Many Ni dominants may have a conclusion which they got to, but they don't know how to explain the way they got to it. Ni uses more subconscious thinking than Ti does. Ti on the other hand analyses even more than Ni does, and sorts certain ideas, sort of like Pros and Cons, it is usually what can be the deciding factor.”
*Quick reminder: Ghost never anticipated Graves' betrayal, and didn't give any reasons that he suspected of Graves before that. He seems unfazed when the betrayal occurs, but that's because it's not something new to him.
So, while I can argue that his lack of Fe may simply be because it is an inferior function, hence less dominant and developed function (though I think he showed a lot of Fe during the whole Mexico situation) it’s hard to argue his lack of Ni because it's a DOMINANT function. And when we talk about dominant function, when is undeveloped, it doesn't indicate a lack of, but rather an unhealthy mode of acting/thinking/coping.
So, about Price... I think he's an ESTP. Stereotypically, he's not the typical ESTP. Unlike Ghost, who has a weak/undeveloped inferior Fe, I think Price has his inferior Ni very well developed, and that's why I think the fact that he is an ESTP is not so noticeable. Just as I compared Ghost to a character who shared the same MBTI type that was attributed to him, I will now compare Price to Makarov. In my opinion, Makarov in this game is a good example of an ENTJ. If you compare the characters and the way they behave, you’ll see that Price has a liiittle more difficulty seeing beyond the obvious, and for me, if he had Ni aux as many point out, he would have anticipated many of Makarov's actions. And I go further, I also believe he would never have let Makarov live back in 2019, recognizing the threat that Makarov was, if he were and ENTJ. Because ENTJs tend to thinking ahead, if they have a problem they’ll think in a way to solve pragmatically, effectively and definitively for once and all. Also, Price is highly reluctant to work with Shepherd, showing a lack of Te/Ni, working with his enemies to achieve his goals is not his first thought (but it’s Laswell “first” thought, a Ni dom). It's not about trust, but personal/team/world gain. Again, he’s incapable of seeing the big picture. And, of course, he has a significant amount of Fe, the way he is a great leader, communicates effectively with people around him, and bond with his team proves that.
I think all the quotes I put up above really show how neither Price nor Ghost use Ni in their first two stacks. But both of them use Ti. There's this stereotype that sensors aren't that smart, so when you've got two characters who should be the best of the soldiers, really smart and skilled, people tend link them with the “best MBTI types” and type them as Ni users (completely bullshit, they just do this because they don’t know how functions work). And again, when you compared them with two Ni users (Laswell and Makarov) you can see how different they are.
I'm gonna do a part two and post it later because I wanna talk about Gaz and Soap too (and some other characters, but the two of them are my main goal now), but I think this one ended up slightly longer than I planned.
