you tried to attend his games to the best of your ability and he hoped you'd appear for this one

however he couldn't spot you at the beginning of the game or during half time

his sulking caught the team's attention and they tried their best to cheer him up

diluc was a busy man

so much so he'd often run late for your dates

you held no anger towards him though, you knew him well

he didn't want to miss your dates, but there are things to be done

sighing, he opened the door of the restaurant and told the host the name the reservation was under

summary: in which your soulmate hardly interacts with you, and the reason why is just as bad as the hurt of his ignorance

It was stupid. A crush you happened to work for has gone wild in the sense that you may or may not have noticed that his wrist was tainted with your name. This not only caused you to have an entire mental breakdown that you couldn’t let show physically, but you rushed out of the funeral parlor, nearly knocking down Hu Tao with your theatrics.

Not to mention, you thought Zhongli was either clueless, didn’t care, or was just naturally calm about things this extreme because he saw the man who was now his soulmate every day without a stutter, shake, or a cracked-up voice; unlike yourself. Who were you to complain, though? If he acted normal and made no big deal of it, it was most likely not a big deal, right?

You only groaned out annoyingly as you pushed the thoughts away, focusing on the smell of coffins as you helped a woman pick out one for her new-found lover who turned dead because of some freak mitachurl accident. To which you could only nod solemnly in response too, praying to the archons above that something like that wouldn’t happen to you before Zhongli decided to pay attention to you being his soulmate.

It was only a matter of time before the woman left that you quite literally had enough, and rushed to knock on Zhongli’s office door, tapping your foot impatiently as you waited for him to open it. He couldn’t have let you inside at a better time before you brushed past him, albeit harshly, before turning around to face him.

“You’ve been ignoring me.” Four words and you almost swore Zhongli blinked back a cry at them, a solemn smile playing at his lips before he sighed, motioning for you to sit in the chair in front of his desk.

The conversation was nothing like you had imagined in your head. No ‘I’m not into men’, no ‘There’s someone else, no ‘I’m not interested in having a soulmate, but an “I’m an archon” in its place. After letting the statement settle in, Zhongli continued with his explanation in a manner so calming that it almost made you regret your previous snap towards him just a few minutes ago.

He failed to converse with you about your souls being intertwined because he felt as if he would be burdening you with the truth that when you two got completely attached you would pass on before him, centuries before him if he was going to be honest; although it seems as if he was burdening you with the truth now.

You would grow and he would not, you would maybe adopt a child and they too would grow old and he would not, you would fear over time where you would leave him and he would not. He was afraid, afraid that you would worry so much about him and his sake of being with his soulmate, that you wouldn’t enjoy the time you spent together.

But in the end, you both agreed. The two of you would spend the rest of your time together in this world until it came for you to part, and no matter what had happened you wouldn’t feel the need to worry about what would happen to him after you eased to live.

“Because as long as I still can recall memories of you, I shall be fine.”

Amber- always stops to chat with you about anything and everything. Would also make you a plush similar to Baron Bunny.

Bennett- would try not to hang out with you too much do you don’t get his bad luck, but would gift you small items he gets while adventuring.

Dehya- would sparr with you. Wants you to get stronger and may even help you use a claymore if you don’t already.

Diluc- would let his guard down around you and show emotion more, would try to smile at you whenever he can.

Hu Tao- plays pranks on you. They would be silly pranks that wouldn’t hurt you since you’re close.

Klee- sees you as a sibling to her. Would want to go fish blasting with you (and break her out of “jail” when she gets caught)

Lyney- performs special tricks just for you, gives you rainbow roses.

Xiangling- cooks as much for food you as she sees fit, would make recipes and meals inspired by and named after you.

my take on sagau ... ♡

if you cant tell , my mental sillies make me a sucker for the obsessive cult aspect of sagau (burn me at the stake i guess) but idk the whole "imposter" thing feels weirdddddd i always prefer creator!reader to be like isekai'd into teyvat yk (can you tell i used to be obsessed with the kuroshitsuji time travel au .....) ?? anyways have this while i decide if i want this to be a full series or just a mini series

notes : gn!reader , creator!reader , r is not traveler , they them used , this - like most of my writing - is self indulgent hinted with some projection , bulleted list cause its 4am when im typing this and acrylic nails suck , i mainly refer to reader as either r or creator enjoy <3 i wrote this while listening to this playlist ♡

a/n: first post woohoo!!! i didn't know who to write for so i just uhh yeah ahahah

notes: they/them pronouns, no use of y/n, romantic implications (they have a lil crush on you), kazuha's part technically isn't a bed because i got carried away with writing, you can obv tell who my fav is out of these three (it's kazu), hu tao + chongyun + xingqiu are a friendgroup in this one bc yes, implied zhongchi + xingyun

"sure, you can spend the night. anytime, for the renowned traveler! dunno if there's much room, though." beidou shrugs apologetically. "hope you don't mind."

before you can say anything, kazuha speaks up. "it's not a problem", he smiled pleasantly. "they can stay with me."

"oh! well.. thank you", you say. you weren't too keen on the idea of bunking with with one of the other crew members, as much as you appreciated their efforts to get you to inazuma. nor did you want to sleep in berth with the snoring crewmen. so kazuha's offer didn't go unnoticed- it truly was appreciated.

you pushed a lock of your hair out of your face, looking down on the happy and somewhat drunken faces of the sailors, chattering away into the night. from the crow's nest, you could see beidou chatting with some of the crew. as fun and exiting as this was, you were beginning to get drowsy. a yawn escaped before you could do anything about it.

"sleepy?", kazuha said from behind you. he was facing the other side of the crow's nest, looking out to the dark shapes of stone formed by the spears once hurtled by rex lapis. you turned to him as you both gazed out to the coast.

"yeah...", you murmured. you felt a hand on your hair, gently pushing your head onto kazuha's shoulder. you looked up at him.

from the pale glow of the moonlight, you could've sworn he was blushing. he saw you adjust your head to look up at him, but he didn't look back.

despite the serene look on his lovely face, his heart fluttered. he laced his fingers into your hair and carressed it ever so slightly, leaning his head on top of yours. sleep claimed you both as you lay in his comforting arms under the stars.

"the kamisato estate is a nice place, sure, but there aren't many bedrooms, sorry... you can go ahead and stay in my room!", thoma said apologetically. you gave him a reassuring smile.

"it's kind enough of you to give me a place to stay tonight. i don't mind at all!"

thoma blushed, fixing his eyes to a point in the floor. he hoped you didn't notice. (you did). "well, it's getting late. um, my bedroom's over there.. right down the hall and to the left. i need to tidy up a little, i'll come in later. just.. make yourself comfortable, alright?"

following his directions, you opened the door to his bedroom. it smelled like him- wood-ish and clean, and you could almost smell a twang of cinnamon. shrugging out of the jacket he lent you in the rain, you slipped into his bed and snuggled into the sheets. it smelled like him, and you fell asleep almost immediately.

the door opened to you curled up in his blankets, sideways, in the middle of his bed. thoma flushed, immediately thinking of a cat. a really cute cat.

gently sitting on the bed, careful not to wake you, he shifted your head to lean on a pillow and brushed a strand of hair out of your face.

groggily, you opened your eyes. "thoma...?", you murmured. little bits of memory began to come back. thoma sat over you, a towel over his shoulders and his hair wet. "oh, sorry.. i didn't mean to fall asleep", you mumbled sleepily.

"that's okay. sorry i didn't come in earlier, i took a shower. one condition, though. i'm sleeping here too, it's my bed. scoot!" he smiled playfully. you groaned and rolled over to make room for him.

thoma snuggled in next to you. "goodnight, y/n", he yawned.

"g'nih...", a muffled noise came from a bundle of pillow as you drifted back to sleep. thoma put his arms around you and you squished closer to him, the comfort of his scent bringing you a good night's sleep.

: ̗̀➛ hu tao

"really? are you sure?", chongyun said incredulously, looking at hu tao. he looked over to xingqiu to see what he thought of it.

"it's true", xingqiu shrugged, his elbows propped on a pillow with his chin in his hands. hu tao nodded enthusiastically.

"i swear. that old fart always brings that ginger guy in for 'tea' and 'buisness'!", she giggled. "who knew there was such buisness that involved all that flirting, gosh. you should hear them."

you laughed. hu tao smiled, secretly pleased with herself for amusing you. your laugh turned into a stifled yawn.

"guys.. i'm getting a little sleepy. i think i'm going to head to bed", you said, getting up.

"booo, it's only two in the morning!", hu tao frowned jokingly. she yawned too, tears pricking at the sides of her eyes from the yawn. "whew. me too, actually. i'll come with you. let's go sleep in my room", she said.

"goodnight, xingqiu, chongyun", you said. "we'll leave you guys be now.."

"sleep well, we'll see you in the morning." xingqiu smiled. "goodnight.." chongyun started. "wait, what do you mean, leave us be? were you imply-"

"night, y/n, hu tao!", xingqiu grinned, winking at you both.

as you both snuggled into hu tao's bed, you could hear xingqiu and chongyun quietly talking under the glow of a dim lamp from the other room.

hu tao turned over in bed and snuggled her head into your chest, catching you by surprise at first. but you put your arms around her and tucked your head over hers, running a hand down her hair.

laying together in silent darkness, entwined, was blissful. hu tao pressed her head tight to your chest, listening to the quiet pulse of your heart.

"sleep well, hu tao", you whispered.

warning: maybe a bit angsty (not really)

This is it. Your plane was now landing and the gates were opening. Your last night in lyiue. You're gonna miss it and you're sure of it. That's not even the main problem right now. It's a shame that you never get the chance to say goodbye to Xiao. Or get Hu Tao her car-money back.

You picked up your suitcase and started heading towards your gate. You enjoyed the almost empty airport but it was yet reminding you of your current situation.

Steps echo in your head, giving the fever dream vibe while you're slowly stepping toward the end. This moment was lasting forever.

Heavy footsteps caught your attention. Well not really. They were simply there, not loud enough to catch your interest. You didn't bother looking. Maybe you should have. It caught you by surprise. His arms wrapped around you and pulled you in for a tight hug.

"Please don't go"

"Xiao? What are you doing here-"

"I just wanted to say goodbye."

"Oh... Why tho"

"Isn't it obvious? You're leaving and we probably won't see each other again"

"Don't say that,"

You let go of your bag and hugged him back

"I wish you lived here name..."

"Me too xiao me too,"

You pulled him even closer, making sure there was no space left between you two. It was so warm you never wanted to let go. The hug brought you back to that one night when he held your hand on the bus. The feeling was so familiar.

You felt that way whenever you were around him. Whenever you hung out with him it made your head spin. Whenever he looked at you, smiled, or just was there. You fell so painfully hard for him. There are no words that would explain how deep your love for this guy is. And you hated it. The only thing you have will be taken away from you.

"The gate for flight 341100 will close in 5 minutes"

"I need to go now xiao"

You pulled away from him. Looked at him for the last time. Felt like this for the last time. Tearing your heart out would be easier than leaving him there.

You stood in line while he started heading out.

"Hey xiao,"

He turned around

"Remember that one time when you asked me if I liked you? Well I lied"

Last thing you said before the lady that was checking passports interrupted you.

You didn't catch his reaction and maybe it's better if you didn't. You just wanted him to know. But deep inside this tore him apart. He promised himself that he would never let anyone do this to him and here he was. Standing in the middle of an airport, looking her way even tho she's been gone for a long time.

Chapter 8

While walking to the cafe,you were really nervous.Its not that you didn't wanna meet Yoimiya's friend,but because you have social anxiety.People often mistake you as a extrovert and outgoing but really,your not.You find it hard to befriends with people,but when you are close to the person,you show them your true self.

Now at the door of the cafe you were met by Hu-tao.Your bestfriend and is also the reason why you met all these wonderful people and your no.1 supporter on doing streams.Sometimes you think that you wouldn't know what to do without her.

"Hey Y/n !! Follow me to our table" she said happily.As I followed her to our table I noticed that the only people on the table was Yoimiya, Kazuha,And Aether.I asked "Yoi where is this person you wanted us to meet?"

"She's late because of her brother.Her brother is really overprotective of her and wants to make sure that she's safe.Dont worry tho shes almost here!" I sat down next to Kazuha and Hu-tao.

A few hours have passed by and a girl went up to us.She had a ponytail and look really elegant and pretty.She sat down to the empty seat which is next to Kazuha.

"Everyone,meet my friend Ayaka!" Everyone welcomed her and said Hi to her.Ayaka was really quiet and I can tell that she is like me.When I was new to this friendgroup I was exactly like that.Quiet and afraid if I might say something wrong.While me and Kazuha talked,I included her into our Convo as I didn't want her to feel left out.

As we were talking,I saw a guy.He had purple hair,kinda short,and most importantly,looked like the guy on Childe's stream.I knew I had to talk with him to ask him questions.I had alot of questions that are still unanswered like "how do you know o/n?" "Whats your name?",ect.

"Guys I have to go,I just need to go to the bathroom" I walked up to him.

Ayaka noticed that Kazuha was slightly sad, "Anything wrong?" She said. "No im fine,just remembered something" "he smiled sadly.

"Kazuha.I know when someone isn't fine and I can tell you aren't.I know we aren't close but feel free to let out what your feeling to me.If you don't tell anyone what your feeling its gonna be heavy to carry.Your feelings are valid." Kazuha was shocked.This was the first time someone actually cared about what he's feeling.

He sighed and told Ayaka about his problem. "Kazu,I can tell that your an amazing and respectful person.You dont deserve what your feeling and most importantly,someone who won't even return back your feelings.Im not telling you to uncrush them.But you'll just get hurt in the end.I don't want you to get hurt."

Kazu..? He thought,someone made him a nickname...? This was the first time someone made him a nickname and he promised to cherish the nickname Kazu.

"Thankyou Ayaka.Im happy that you listened to what I felt.Im grateful to have a friend like you" Ayaka smiled "Anytime Kazu."

A few hours went by and Ayaka and Kazuha were having a convo that felt like seconds. "I feel like Y/n ditched us" Lumine said "I might know the reason,I saw Childe's friendgroup including the redflag guy she had been crushing on". "We should make an nickname for him! How about Redflag?" Everyone laughed.

It was now time to go home because the Cafe was about to close.Everyone said bye to eachother.

What job or profession do you think they (heartstopper) would have (besides Charlie's canon and nick)?

OMG GREAT QUESTION!!! i love thinking about this.

elle definitely teaches elementary schoolers art alongside selling her own pieces. the kids would think her style is so cool, and her charm is unmatched so it'd be easy for her to encourage them to get enthusiastic about her class and turn in work on time.

i see imogen having a job in the medical field. i feel like she'd be interested in how the body works and would want to know what to do in health emergencies, so i think she'd be a nurse or even a pharmacist.

okay this would probably be a side job but tao one hundred percent will be some sort of radio disc jockey host person at a point in his life. even if it’s just a local radio or a college one. i think he’d have a blast doing it and would like taking the calls a lot. other than that, i think he’d be good in the architectural/carpentry field and like designing the layout of buildings or crafting their interiors.

i could see tara being a hairstylist for people on movie sets. i think it'd be a cool creative outlet for her and she’d love contributing to the film scene by putting more feel into the specific moment or time period of each film. if she wasn't doing hair, i think she'd still be involved in maybe even costuming, to emphasize the qualities of the characters.

sahar is obviously going to be in a band. there’s no doubt about it.

if issac doesn't end up writing his own books, he'd be a fantastic book critic or even english lit & lang teacher for college students. he must have some really intricate takeaways from books because he reads as much as he does, and by connecting the dots between books and literature as a whole he'd be super good at finding nitpicky ways of explaining them.

i really think darcy would work with animals in some way. maybe at a zoo or aquarium. she seems like the type to take a lot of interest in animals’ behaviors and whatnot. being involved with organizations like that would give her the opportunity to take care of them and record data about their species!
