Here’s the thing with people shipping Alastor, I could not care less about who people ship Alastor with or whether they ship him at all, what I do care about though is people making him allo.

This is one of the few cannon ace (possibly aro) characters out there and he can 100% be shipped in verity of ways without ignoring he is ace or aroace.

Make him aroace but still platonicly obsessed with Lucifer or Vox.

Make him sex repulsed or indifferent it doesn’t really matter (I could 100% see him having sex with someone for entertainment purposes just like I can see him being sex repulsed).

Even make him Demi/grey-ace if you must show him reciprocating sexual attraction.

Bonus points if he’s aro and you play around with platonic relationships/QPRs.

I know at the end of the day he is a fictional character and people will do what they want, but please listen to aro/ace fans when we ask you not completely ignore his sexuality when there are so many ways you can still play around with his characterization without disrespecting one of the few cannon ace characters to exist in TV.

But I just changed it around a bit and wanted to put my spin on it :) this takes place season 5 but let’s pretend Troy never left. I know it’s cringe and bad I can’t write and sorry it’s so long

Setting- Pretty much the same, the Dean rented out a venue for a dance only this time it’s a valentine dance however on a “coincidence” they get stuck with said bisexual lighting that Abed will make his comment on

Background/ cold open- of course no dance at Greendale would be complete without alternative motives, this one being the Dean trying to get Jeff as his date to said dance (I don’t ship them but I think the Dean liking him is funny). To go along with this plot you aren’t let into the dance without a date, the Dean makes sure to make it clear it doesn’t have to be a real date (cue aggressive cueing to Jeff) In the end Jeff and Britta and up being each others fake dates seeing as they hadn’t been spending but time together, leaving Troy, Abed, and Annie (Shirley isn’t going)

A plot- Troy instinctively turns to Abed pitching to go as fake dates, seeing as they did nearly everything together and it’s not like either of them had a girlfriend. To this Abed would agree although he’d say something along the lines of “or maybe we could try and get dates, I mean spending time with you is great but we’ve been going to school here for 5 seasons with not end in sight, we may as well try to get girlfriends considering neither of us have had a real relationship” (cue offended gasp from britta). This makes Troy upset for whatever reason, he knows Abed is right but he’d rather just go with Abed then bother finding a date, with this he turns to his next best option, Annie, who is more then enthusiastic to go with him despite being over him she’s still gitty. Abed ends up going with Rachel, this once again makes Troy feel certain way but he still can’t put his thumb on it, Annie immediately notices something’s up and brings up the idea that it has something to do with Abed. Troy would say something along the lines of, “I really don’t know, I think your great and I should be estatic to have a date with someone a good as you but I can’t stop thinking about him, like how could he pull her this easy and get along with her so good, I’ve never even heard of this girl”. At this point Troy is completely detached from his “date” with Annie and is now ranting about how there’s no way Rachel is better then him or good enough for Abed while Annie just stares at him knowingly. Of course with Annie’s help Troy comes to the realization that even id he can’t put his finger ong why he wants to be with Abed, whether platonicly or romantically he wants to be with him. The night goes on like this, Troy occasionally going over to talk to Rachel about Abed before sulking back to Annie. Over the course of the night and talking to Rachel Troy gets increasingly mad that Abed doesn’t seem to care until the point on him storiming up to Rachel and airing out shit about abed (he’s controlling, trackers in his friends, uses people) and so on until Abed comes up on them and Rachel tells Abed something and storms out, leaving Abed to turn to Troy distraught. He’s says something about how he really liked her and Troy confesses that even if he doesn’t know want it is he’s drawn to Abed and wants to spend the rest of his life with him, he doesn’t want to be boyfriends or anything it he doesn’t want to see Abed leave him, Abed would say something along the lines of, “I don’t know how to take this but if there’s anyone I’d want to spend the rest of my life with it’s you, and we can make out own thing up it’s what we do anyway” more emotional dialog that I’m not smart enough to write but it ends in them kissing to bisexual lighting glaring around them and the song Somewhere Out There playing in the background

B plot- Jeff and Britta end up going to the dance together, I don’t have much to say here but it ends up it them saying how they’ve missed spending time together (I ship them in a they keep getting divorced and getting back together way) but they end up having a good time together. Also Jeff finds the Dean sulking and they end up sharing a dance together

C plot- not much here but I think it would be funny to have Chang and Duncan trying to pick if ladies to go to the dance but they end up wasting all there time with no ladies wanting them (just some funny bar scenes idk)

Ending scene- Troy and Abed telling people they’re dating of course with “Troy and Abed are dAtInG” a shocked gasp from Shirley and Annie (Annie knew) and britta giving Jeff twenty dollars for losing the bet of wether they’d get together

I think i've figured out what really draws me to a ship, and honestly ishoukld have seen this coming 💀

I really adore when you have a character who often finds themselves in control of a situation whether they want to be or not, and its their responsibility to make sure everyone/they themseves are safe

And when they find that character who takes some of the pressure off, who they trust to take control of the situation and themselves so they can let go a little

And this translates to the bedroom where they can trust the other person to take care of them and the other person loves to do that

Okay so Baulder's Gate 3 got my neck in a choke hold for a number of reasons. One of those be Astarion. For a number of reasons this sassy traumatized vamp has me.

The main Tav file I got going that isn't a joint is a Thief with a criminal background. However me as a person is too nice a lot of the time so it's been magical how I have kept the Astarion ship afloat. I must be doing just enough keep a high approval inspite of my general niceness. I been role-playing the relationship run as I want yes the intimacy but I also want to support you like a friend should. Me as a person values the foundations of friendship when it comes to romantic relationships.

So it's been a ride given how he starts the story as very much just doing the motions that kept him alive/useful. You at first sorta have to go along with his cope until you are able to sprinkle in some sass back that shows him you see him beyond his mask. You navigate him to see you fell for what lies behind the mask. This is a terrifying prospect for him and it is clear he doesn't know how to walk that path with you.

So the scene where you back him up on saying no to the blood lady at moonrise is like his wake up call. And either you reaffirm to him platonicly or can be more affectionate. The later is how you get the option to hug. But like that mocap for the hug sells well the hesitancy but realization of being seen beyond his mask antics.

I've been spoiled about some Act 3 stuffs related to him,but I will hold off talking about that until later cause I want to experience in person some of that.

She doesn't seem like she does like girls or guys, we just haven't seen that side of her yet and so I say she's completely fine to think whatever u want about her (same with marcy)

But Marcy...

The problem isn't the fact you're shipping her, it's the fact that I see so many people claiming "ITS CANON, SHES HOLDING HANDS WITH SASHA" or something like that. Or they bully anyone saying "Uh, no. I think they may just be doing that platonicly, it's common for girls to hold each other's hands." And send them death threats on the dime.

obviously hangman/rooster for this blog. i didnt’ get it the first time i watched the movie and then the second time i went in and my head exploded. glen powell and miles teller made some acting choices and i support them for that. i’ve written so many unhinged posts about them i dont think i need to ramble on any more.

i went on a trip in december and on the plane i watched the netflix show 1899. it’s pretty good, i’d rec to anyone who hasn’t seen it. from that show, olek/ling yi are my ship of choice. they’re literally so fucking cute. neither of them understand what the other is saying at any given moment but it doesn’t even matter they just stare soulfully into each others eyes and understand each other better than the people who do speak the same language.

final ship is roy/jamie/keeley from ted lasso these guys had my brain on lock for most of autumn. something about parallels. something about jamie having keeley’s picture in his locker and roy’s poster on his wall. i just think they’d balance each other out. roy’s got a lot of attention to give. keeley needs more space. jamie loves attention. i’d take this even platonicly i just think me, my boyfriend, and the guy i used to date who just kinda hangs around us now is an underutilized dynamic but its one of my favorites. (see steve nancy jonathon and scott allision isaac for other examples).

OC x Canon Asks

Damián's only canon x oc pairing is with Rook. Now I know sounds very cracked and it is. Their dynamic is as i call it "The confident hunter and the caring forest lover."

Rook was investigating a small surge of random animals gathering in the forest at certain locations not knowing why cause by time sun went down they would go about normal behavior. He knows some students attract small animals but the bigger ones he has no clue. Finally one day he was early enough to see what or whom they were gathering around.

Damián tends to nap either in his dorm zone area's forest or the one naturally on island. He attracts animals of all types with attracting deer the most who are just watching after him as he sleeps. He mostly nocturnal but since becoming housewarden he has to often wake random day times so he takes naps in case he has to.

Neither had ever seen each other prior to Rook seeing him finally. He so curious while Damián is friendly but is kinda told that Rook may have harmed animals in past so becomes cautious. Doesn't stop the curiosity Rook has and the mini encounters with small talk just brew hidden pining between the two that has a wall in way but it slowly coming down. Ship's main point is Someone so flawed who copes with it all inside being seen as beautiful in the eye of one who seems like polar opposite to them. Damián is so closed off to him and most people at 1st but Rook's constant presence which Damián can't tell is all friendly slowly gets him to speak more. Rook just showering him with attention he been needing.

(Side note: when they get real comfortable with each other Damián often scoops him up into a princess carry to kiss him often knocking off his hat...😳)

I hope ok this was kinda long for lack of much for second question part as Snake & Viper don't have any canon pairing as i feel the canon staff dislike Snake enough to repulse his innocent brother aswell since they twins. I had in past them both shipped platonicly with Sam as sorta like another twins with a businessman type thing but never made anything further with the idea due to ppls lack of interest in staff oc content..

regarding telling your therapist about selfshipping—I actually thought it was really interesting because when I started EMDR therapy for my PTSD with my last therapist, one of the first things she had me do was think of certain characters to cast in certain roles to help deal with processing trauma and the intense emotions it can bring up. She specifically suggested picking fictional characters, but it could also just be anything you came up with yourself.

She didn't suggest romantic or friendship-type bonds with these characters, but they were generally cast into sort of a parental or guardian role. Protective characters, and nurturing ones, etc. I forget exactly what all the roles were since this was a couple years ago and I didn't have to spend basically any time thinking about it as I already had most of my current f/os at the time, I just didn't know there was a term for that or a community around it, but when I discovered the community I was very interested to see that apparently some therapists basically recommend self-shipping (at least platonicly) as a treatment!

there are so many layers to it! so many different ways to use it, so many different things to get out of it, and it's so amazing to me how many therapists not only support it but recommend and encourage it! i love that your therapist brought this up to you! i love that this isn't just a fun little escape from daily life, it's actually a resource! that's just incredible!

when i was talking to my therapist about it, she was excited! there's always the fear that people won't understand or they'll judge, but she was excited! i told her how i found strength in confidence in these characters, how i imagined them seeing such beauty in me and all that i am, and finally she smiled at me and she said, "liv, that's you. that's you doing these things. you're putting a name and face to them with these characters, but it's you finding that strength and confidence in you, it's you telling yourself that you're beautiful and charming and smart and funny. it's all you."

and she was excited because! so often, we look outside ourselves, in work and relationships, for that validation. we try to get exactly what we need from outside sources but it always ends up falling short and we never end up full. but by using these fictional characters, by almost tricking myself into getting it from me, it's put me in a better place mentally and emotionally than i even realized!!!

i love it. i love it all. i love that we all looked at ourselves and said that we deserve to get what we need. and we gave it to ourselves. even if we weren't doing it consciously, even if we fell into this by accident. i can't think of anything more beautiful !!!!! 💗

Okay so like I don’t want to kiss them, or have sex, but I want to have shared smiles and hold there hand and maybe some snuggling. I had real quick feelings with two other Afab friends, a few male celebrities, but I think it was more in the charecters they played and I want to be famous sorta thing

But idk. I don’t want them to fall I love with me (they are queer allo) casue I don’t want to ruin the friend ship we have

Ok, so what I'm picking up from this is that you have feelings for one of your friends but you don't know whether it's romantic attraction and you don't want to ruin your friendship with them.

I must confess that I'm not entirely sure I can help you here, but I can definitely offer you some pointers that might guide you a bit.

The first thing I would say is that if there's only ever been one person you've felt more than fleeting romantic attraction for, that could suggest you are greyromantic.

I would also suggest looking more deeply into your attraction to this person - the fact that you don't want to kiss them suggests it might not be romantic attraction (although there is debate about whether kissing is a romantic or sexual activity). You could check out some types of tertiary attraction like alterous, queerplatonic, or sensual. From your description of your attraction it sounds like these might be possibilities, but they are just that - possibilities. you know your attraction better than I do.

Two last unrelated things I would add are 1) this probably isn't very helpful but honestly, fuck the status quo!! do what makes you happy and 2) i can't help but notice the way you focus on the agabs of your friends/crushes, and especially as you may be realising you're enby and moving into trans spaces yourself i'd like to mention that the trans community generally doesn't focus on what gender people were assigned at birth, because it isn't really relevant - the gender they are is more important than the gender doctors thought they were :) /nm
