Flavoplaca oasis is a species of saxicolous lichens (they live on stone surfaces).

It is found on substrates such as pure limestone, concrete and mortar, which indicates a preference for this type of alkaline environment, often found in artificial structures. Favoplaca can grow both as a free-living lichen and as a parasitic lichen. In its parasitic form, it grows on crustal lichens growing inside rocks.

It is widespread throughout Europe, Western Asia, China and North Africa.

When I visited the dilapidated medieval fortress, I noticed that there are many stones on its territory. They are all covered with an unusual yellow-orange "fungus", so I wanted to learn more about it. I am now sharing the search results with you.

Фавоплака оазис — это вид саксиколовых лишайников (обитают на каменных поверхностях).

Встречается на таких субстратах, как чистый известняк, бетон и строительный раствор, что указывает на предпочтение этого вида щелочной среде, часто встречающейся в искусственных сооружениях. Фавоплака может расти как свободноживущий лишайник, так и как паразитический лишайник. В своей паразитической форме он растет на корковых лишайниках, растущих внутри скал.

Он широко распространен по всей Европе, в Западной Азии, Китае и Северной Африке.

Когда я посещала полуразрушенную средневековую крепость, обратила внимание, что на её территории лежит много камней. Они все покрыты необычным желто-оранжевым "грибком", поэтому захотелось узнать о нем побольше. Результатами поисков теперь делюсь с вами.
