#Ajak asks how Thena is and Thena just nods and walks off

Who do you think is Ajaks favorite child?
So, Ajak would say that she loves all her children equally. She would never have favourites!
But yes she does and it's Sersi--hear me out!
It's not just the picking her to take over as Prime, because that's obvious. But I'm talking about how I think Sersi is the most human of all the Eternals.
Ajak loves all her kids. They function all together, as a family, even the cantankerous Druig and stubborn Ikaris and prickly Thena. Ajak wouldn't change anything about them.
But Sersi is different. From the moment they first awaken Ajak knows Sersi has insatiable curiosity, and passion, and love for all she does. Ajak sees how much Sersi loves life in all its forms and admires it, maybe even envies how much more freely Sersi can love without the burden of the truth weighing on her.
Ikaris is her secondhand, and he knows all that she does (mostly). He becomes a confidante to her in a way none of her other children are. And yet this ultimately dooms them both to never actually being able to depend on each other in an emotionally healthy way. Both are a pillar of the irrevocable truth and fear how it will crush their family if they move from that.
But that's why I think Thena's role in this is so fascinating (my bias is showing, I'm well aware). Because Thena also knows the truth, on some level, even from the beginning. It can be argued even before then--maybe she always gets Mahd Wy'ry, maybe she always remembers the horrors that they facilitate in their missions.
Ajak knows this. That's why she suggests erasing Thena, because she really does love her, and she knows firsthand the burden of knowledge. Thena already had wisdom, it's the knowledge that really endangered her.
I also think that's why Druig's relationship to Thena is so much deeper than what we got in the movie. He speaks up for her--he speaks up for her against Ajak, and Ikaris, and Arishem himself. He believes that Thena has a right not to want to forget their lives, and he obviously doesn't trust the answers he gets from Ikaris or their Prime.
Ajak is a very complicated character. She's not entirely right, she's not wrong either, and I do believe that she does the best with what she has. And that she loves her children. That, above all else, is what drives this person: love for her children and for people.
And that's Sersi's favourite thing: people. Sersi loves life and the people in it, and everything in between. Sersi is who Ajak could be if she didn't have the burden of their mission on her. And yes, she does impress that onto Sersi and burden her with that. It's hard to reconcile, and confusing, and it creates hardship for Sersi. But Ajak did so knowing Sersi was the right one to take this on.
Because this mother has high hopes for her daughter, and she knows what she can handle because she forged this child's soul from her own.
#Eternals#Ajak#a biopsy if you will just some thoughts of mine#also yes I saw the Barbie movie why do you ask?#mother-daughter relationships are endlessly complex#and I don't want to trivialize anything for anyone by waxing poetic about it from my own perspective#but this is what I think about Ajak and Sersi's relationship#also sorry you probably thought this would be a really fun ask and I've done...this#okay so for those who read the tags#Ikaris is her very good mama's boy who does everything right but then she finds out is wanted in six states for federal crimes#and she goes where did I go wrong???#Thena: where could he have gone right is really the question#Thena is like Ikaris' twin they're so alike#Ajak asks how Thena is and Thena just nods and walks off#she's more of an icy teenager than Sprite is to her#but at least Gilgamesh makes Thena a little sweeter#he's also best boi so...write that down#Gil helps carry in the groceries#Sprite acts like she's too cool for it all but really she still likes cuddles and I will die on that hill#Druig is constantly bitching about 'mother dear'#while Ajak and Makkari have a great relationship!#They're obviously close Makkari is holding her in the wedding scene#Makkari is very close and sweet with Ajak but Makkari is also a wild child#she steals and is rambunctious and likes breaking the rules#Miss Goody Two Shoes is Sersi herself#Phastos too up until...a certain point#And Kingo...Kingo thinks he's her favourite#like truly and genuinely

When no one listens
Request: Maybe something thenamesh?? I don't know something cute and fluffy and the other eternals are so done with them - by anon, thank you so so much 🖤

Pairing: Thena/Gilgamesh
Words: 792
Tumblr media
It is not an everyday thing to find Gilgamesh and Thena so close resting against each other. So, it is hard to pay attention to Ajak’s instructions as two very tired warriors snuggle in the back.
“Stop.” Thena threatens Kingo from afar with her stare.
“I should say the same thing,” he replies back, body fully turning towards them. “What is this that’s going on?”
She looks away and back to Ajak, ignoring him.
At some point during Ajak’s speech Thena rests her head against Gil’s shoulder earning the attention of Druig and Phastos, who just stare at each other like they are in the office.
“You see it too, right?” Asked Kingo.
“Uh,” Phastos takes a moment to think, but is cut off by Ajak.
“Are you guys even listening?” She speaks directly to everyone in the left corner which consist of Kingo, Phastos, and Druig. “What was I talking about?” She asks at their silence.
Kingo and Druig look at each other waiting for the other to talk as Phastos stutters to form an answer to no veil.
“You are talking about the re-distribution of the teams to travel overseas in the search of deviants.” Thena replies from her place attached to Gil’s rib.
Makkari frowns at her with a discerting look, and Sersi just looks marveled.
“Thank you, Thena; but I was talking to the corner on the left.” She gives them a stern look.
It is enough to make them stop, but it has now gained the attention of Sprite. She uses an illusion of herself sitting at the front listening to Ajak, while she walks invisible in the direction of Gilgamesh and Thena. She takes note of how they are holding hands, and how Gil’s thumb is brushing against Thena’s. Just when she is about to prank Gil tickling him with an invisible feather she hears Ajak calling out her name.
“Sprite, I hope you are not using an illusion again to escape. This is a very important matter.” Ajak talks like a mother with a warning tone.
Sprite hurries back to her place. “Sorry, Ajak.” She knows Ajak can detect her better than anyone, a special ability of the prime eternal.
At some point Gil starts to snooze nodding his head not fully asleep, and Thena wraps her arms around him to support him against her own shoulder like a mother would hold a child close. This has now caused distress between the eternals, even Ikaris is looking at them every now and then. Even Ajak blinked a few times in their direction, like trying to see if she was seeing right or it was one of Sprite’s illusions to stop her speech.
Kingo is fully turned towards them, ignoring Ajak right in front of her salad. The salad being a very cozy Gilgamesh and Thena. Phastos’ jaw has almost dropped to the floor, he keeps looking back and forth between Ajak and them. Druig is seeking comfort with Makkari, trying to ignore the scene, but it doesn’t help when the speedster is also occasionally looking at them and trying to gossip with Phastos and Kingo from afar. Sprite joined the corner on the left trying to get a more discreet glimpse of the two strong eternals in the other corner. At this point Sersi is just completely distracted by Ikaris standing next to her at the right side of the hall.
“I’m going to do it.” Mumbles Druig.
“I-” Phastos stutters. “It would be better if-” He struggles to find the right words. “You know what? Do as you please.”
“Don’t mind control them in front of Ajak.” Sprite intervenes.
“Gil?” They all hear Thena’s whispers. “My feet are cold.”
Gil soon takes her feet into his hands and between them to warm them up.
“Okay!” Kingo declares loudly as everyone else starts to complain, disrupting Ajak’s speech. They all get up shaking their head as Ajak looks at them confused.
“And where do you all think you are going?” She asks as they start to leave.
“We don’t even get cold.” Complains Phastos on their way out.
“Nice talk, Ajak. I might throw up.” Druig says.
“This has been the weirdest experience ever.” Sprite says. “I hope it never repeats.”
“What is going on?” Sersi asks as she follows them out.
Ajak shakes her head as she takes a deep breath trying to keep her cool. Her eyes fall on two very exhausted eternals on the right corner that stare right back at her not even one bit of guilt in their faces.
“So, are we dismissed?” Asks Gil.
“Just go.” Ajak says so done for the day.
But she can’t help but smile as she sees them walk out together; hand in hand.

monday lunchbox: grilled eel rice
It’s Gilgamesh’s birthday. It’s his fucking birthday, and he’s standing in his kitchen, making breakfast for them at 6:30 am, wearing nothing but his boxer and his “Kiss The Cook” apron, with a drawing of himself in a cartoonish way that she painted on not so long ago, and looking as delicious as a feast. Thena watches him from the kitchen door, she’s wearing his oversized hoodie and her expression is mixed between frustration and amusement.
“I planned to give you a birthday present in bed, you know,” She uncrosses her arms and walks over to kiss him good morning, “I even set the alarm 30 minutes early. It’s your birthday, you shouldn’t have gotten up this early.”
“I won’t give up any chance to pamper you,” Gil murmurs against her lips, his hands sneaking under the hoodie, “What did you plan anyway?”
Thena rises up on her toes, and whatever that she’s whispering into his ears makes him groan and hide his burning face into her neck, all the while holding her tighter. She’s nearly able to feel the thumping of his heart.
“Can I still collect my gift tonight?” He asks shyly.
“It’s your last chance,” Thena chuckles, rubbing his hair and kissing his reddened ears. Her eyes land on the lunchbox on the table, next to a thermos bottle that contains hot soup.
“You start selling your eel lunchboxes today, right?”
“Yeah, we’re switching to our summer menu from today,” he nods, “I took Makkari’s advice so I’ll just prepare a dozen boxes only. You get the first one.”
“Lucky me.”
Gil began to make lunchboxes for Thena to bring to work last week, after hearing from Kingo that someone at their firm got food poisoning because of the lunch meals at their cafeteria. They went to buy lunchboxes together. Thena chose an oval wooden box, and Gil picked a white wrap cloth with golden star patterns on it. They didn’t forget to buy a new waffle maker because Thena broke his old one when she tried to make waffles and then literally set it on fire. She doesn’t have anything to complain about, really, she’s eating better than ever.
“How many tacos do you think you can get for an eel lunchbox?” She asks while munching on her French toast and raspberries.
“I’m not sure,” Gil rubs his chin, “But definitely it’ll be more expensive than our regular lunch set. And it’s also limited, therefore if Jake and Layla order too late, there won’t be any left for them.”
“I think it could be approximately a special combo in their restaurant,” Thena says, “It’s insanely good.”
She got to try the grilled eel rice once with Sprite, Makkari and Ajak on the day they tried out their summer menu, including other goodies such as Ajak’s orange and guava tea and Makkari’s fruit tart. And after their camping trip, because Steven has excellently completed his mission of watching Arishem (the red iguana even looks chubbier after spending two days at his house), Gil gave him lots of coupons for the rainbow trouts they caught. A few days later, Eternal treated Steven, as well as Marc and Jake, the other two of the triplets, a hearty lunch. Ajak learned that Marc owns a Mexican restaurant three blocks away, she called for Gil and the five of them discussed for about 10 minutes, then agreed to trade food with each other. Two medium-sized drinks equal a large nacho, one slice of cake/pie equals one burrito and a lunch set equals a quesadilla.
Since that day, they’ve been buying lunches and sometimes Sprite’s after-school snacks from Marc’s restaurant. Her final exam is coming so she uses the times when they don’t get many customers to study, and she’s been increasingly asking Thena to teach her maths and physics, to the point the older woman feels like a tutor. She even worries as the exam week is approaching, which is this week.
“I’m sure she’ll be fine,” Gil says, clearing the table, “You two worked very hard for this. It’ll pay off.”
“You too were so worried that you didn’t let her eat eels or anything that has seaweed, because she might “slip and fell”.”
“Hey, I didn’t fail once in my school years thanks to that trick.”
Thena just rolls her eyes, pulling him closer by the straps of his apron and kissing him. Her irresistible dessert. Gil sends her to work with many more kisses, as if he wants to make sure she won’t forget her promise for tonight. It’s a long day already.
The lunchbox is still warm when she opens it at noon. On the soft rice are two big pieces of eel that were deboned, soaked in BBQ sauce and grilled, sprinkled with a thin layer of sesame seeds. On the side is some stir-fried morning glory. The sweet and rich BBQ sauce has combined with the eel meat beautifully, a dot of nutty sesame seed here and there makes her unable to stop her spoon. There’s also hot miso soup to refresh whenever she gets tired of the greasiness. The meal is so good Thena tries to eat it slowly so that it won’t end. She’s talking with Gil over the phone at the moment.
“Have you had your lunch?” She asks.
“We’re waiting for Layla to deliver our lunch,” he sounds like an excited boy, “Turns out two eel lunchboxes can be traded with their special lunch set and drinks! Can you believe that?”
“I told you this morning. It’s incredible, you underestimate yourself this time.”
She hears him laugh, “Are you having lunch as well? Don’t skip your meal, okay?”
“Not a chance. I just call to tell you that Kingo saw my lunchbox when he stopped by my office to deliver some files, then he ran out of the building, I think he’s heading to Eternal.”
“So you call to tell me to leave him a lunchbox?”
“Only because he’s doing a pretty decent job this month. Besides, he’s probably come bearing your gift. Is there any box left?”
“Just one. I’ll save it for him then.”
“Thanks, darling, I’ll try to leave early today,” she purrs.
“Looking forward to it,” he lowers his voice, “I miss you, Thena.”
“Miss you.”
When Thena steps into Eternal’s backyard that evening, she finds Gil and Makkari up to their necks in the kitchen. It looks like there are many customers at the front, they seem to be short of cakes because Gil is making something that looks like a fruit roll cake. She decides not to distract them and steps up the stairs. She used the key he gave her on their one-month anniversary to open the door. The lights are on, Arishem turns his attention to her as she enters the living room. She comes over to the tank, petting and feeding him some dry food and then moves on to the kitchen to find some lettuce for him (Gil always stores at least one or two in the fridge).
On the table is her dinner: spaghetti Napolitan and salad Caesar with a poached egg. There’s also a note from Gil, saying that if she’s back while he’s busy with his shop, she should have dinner first and to apologize, her dessert is in the fridge. She grins when she finds a square container with blueberry tiramisu inside. She washes her lunchbox and thermos bottle, both empty, knowing that Gil would be very happy and proud of himself because she finished the lunch he prepared. Then she brings her dinner and Arishem’s into the living room to eat with the animal, looking at all of the presents that their friends have stopped by and given him during the day. They are stacked on the coffee table, he’s probably too busy and doesn’t have time to put them away. He said he wanted to spend the evening with Thena so they don’t organize a birthday party, yet he still got presents. Ajak gave him a new teapot, Kingo brought a Bluray set of Godfather movies and a thank you note for the lunchbox, Sprite gave him a keychain with a grizzly bear attached, Druig sent a fancy wine bottle, Phastos and his family: a huge flower lego set, Sersi and Ikaris gave him…a set of new pots and pans to replace the ones that have black spots at the bottom that Gil can never scrub clean after their camping trip. Thena’s very happy on his behalf. Her Gilgamesh deserves the entire world for simply existing in it.
“Thena?” Gil calls out the moment he steps inside and sees her shoes. She stands up from the couch and he rushes to her, sweeping her up her feet and into his arms. He kisses her deeply, whispering his apologies for making her wait. Her arms automatically loop themselves around his shoulders and he starts carrying her toward his bedroom.
“Have you had dinner?”
“I have.”
“Good, my turn. I’ve been waiting all day,” he kicks the door shut.
Gilgamesh is lying between Thena’s legs, his head pillowed on her stomach and he exhales a satisfying breath. They’re both sated, sinking into the bed while caressing each other lazily. Gil peppers her stomach with kisses, she slips a hand into his hair and tries to sit up, but he pulls her onto his lap and keeps kissing her. She indulges him for a good while more, then covers his eyes.
“Close your eyes.”
“But I want to look at you,” he pouts.
“How am I supposed to surprise you with your gifts then?”
“You have more gifts for me?”
“Of course. You think I didn’t get you any?”
“But I thought… We just…”
Thena laughs, “My love, you deserve more than one gift from me. Now listen to me and close your eyes.”
He does as told and she climbs off his lap. She opens the wardrobe, retrieving her lavenders and forget-me-nots bouquet and back to bed, reclaiming her position in his lap. She wraps her legs around his torso and he holds her hips, already beaming, “It smells nice. Did you get me flowers?”
“You can look now,” she says.
His smile is brighter when he sees the big bouquet. He can be so delighted with the small things in life, and she loves him for it.
“I think there’s something in the middle,” she points out. He draws out a paper hidden among the lavenders. It’s an advertisement for a seaside resort that Thena printed out from their website.
“I realized we haven’t had a summer vacation to the beach so I deliberately made a reservation. Last weekend of June. Two days and one night but I can extend it if you want,” Thena blushes, “Can you save those two days for us?”
Gil is nodding repeatedly, like a puppet on a string.
“Just you and me?”
“Just you and me.”
“You spoiled me rotten.”
“Don’t be silly, I barely got the chance to,” she disagrees.
“Maybe I’ll get to put sunscreen on you,” he says, moving the bouquet out of the way so they can be pressed against one another. She feels him harden beneath her and moans against his lips.
“I’ll grill lots of seafood,” he goes on, kissing her down the mattress, “Bringing you many rounds of mojito, and making sweet, passionate love to you any time, anywhere you want.”
“Fuck, I love you so much,” she gasps. She can’t wait until the last weekend of June.

“so, we have to go find the others and put an end to the emergences,” sersi finished, watching your back still at the kitchen sink, dish in hand. in silence, you turned off the tap, placed the plate on the drying rack, and turned to face your long-time friend as you wiped your hands with a towel.
you looked at sersi, at sprite and ikaris and kingo and thena and gilgamesh, biting the inside of your cheek. there were seven of you in your house right now, which meant you still had to find phastos, makkari, and druig. you were somewhat thrilled about seeing the former two friends, but facing druig...the male you had spent an eternity pining over...you weren’t so fond of the idea.
“does ajak know you stole that?” druig’s familiar accent made you turn around, eyes narrowing at the dark-haired eternal just before he snatched the red artifact from your hands. he pretended to be interested in the antique book, flipping through the yellowed pages as he dodged your incoming hands.
you shook your head, trying to take back the novel with little success. “no. and she doesn’t need to know, so don’t even think about telling her.”
druig looked at you, tilting his head to the side as he said, “my beautiful, beautiful y/n, i’m hurt that you think i’m a snitch.”
“you’re more a flirt than a snitch,” you muttered, letting your hands fall slack by your sides. “now please give me the damn book, druig.”
“what do i get in return?” the male questioned, the smirk on his face growing. he held the book to his chest as he waited for your answer.
you jutted a hip out and placed a hand on your hip, raising an eyebrow as you remarked, “a clear conscious. now give me the book, or i’m gonna-”
“or you’re gonna what?” druig jeered, daring you to finish the intended threat.
“or i’m going to tell ajak that you interfered with a fight today at a bar,” you said, nodding in confirmation.
druig’s eyebrows rose, and he took a few steps closer to you, amused at your pathetic warning. “am i supposed to be scared of that? ajak already knows i deal with their quarrels, love. it’s nothing new.”
you took your bottom lip between your teeth as you searched your mind for something else to say, and you had failed to notice that druig had practically cornered you against the stone wall.
“how about this; if i give the book back, you have to walk with me, first thing in the morning for three weeks. we wouldn’t be going far, just to the markets and stalls, maybe even the gardens if you’re up for it,” druig said, letting the offer hang in the air.
“deal,” you said almost immediately, grabbing the book from his outstretched hands without a second thought.
“i’ll go,” you decided, finally giving in to helping your friends. they needed you and you knew it. hanging up the hand towel, you asked, “who are we tracking down next?”
“someone i think you’d be rather excited to see,” you heard kingo muse from your dining table, taking a sip of the tea you had prepared earlier.
groaning, you massaged the bridge of your nose, wondering why the universe wasn’t on your side today. “why can’t we go get phastos instead?”
“because we have to cross an ocean to get to him. druig, however, isn’t too far from here,” sersi said. ikaris nodded along with her.
you sighed deeply, crossing your arms over your chest. “well, then let’s get this reunion over with, i suppose.”
Tumblr media
“it’s so humid,” sprite complained beside you, fanning herself with a hand as she walked. “it’s sticky and hot and i don’t like it.”
“jesus fucking christ, i couldn’t agree more,” you grumbled, smacking your arm for the fifth time in ten minutes. “these bugs are killing me. who knew immortality didn’t come with free mosquito passes.”
“it’s not so bad,” kingo tried to suggest, but as the words came out he swatted at his face, wriggling in his spot as he tried to dodge a bug you couldn’t see.
you watched as karun video-taped his boss flinging himself around, yelling at the videographer to help get the bugs off. sprite and sersi’s giggles filled your ears as you smiled in amusement. ikaris, however, told everyone to get a move on, his expression that of stone.
the laughs died down afterward, and everyone returned to finding the supposed village where druig lived, which happened to be smack dab in the middle of the amazon forest. the journey to where you were right now had not been a pleasant one, and you didn’t know how much you would miss running water and air conditioning until you stepped out of kingo’s private jet.
as the seven, well, eight of you, including karun, traveled deeper into the forest, you suddenly got the feeling of being followed, your stomach dropping and ears perking for any noise that wasn’t mother nature or someone you were traveling with.
stopping in your tracks, thena halted a few feet ahead of you, looking at you over her shoulder. “what’s wrong?”
her question made other people stop where they were, their attention turning to you.
“it’s nothing, i’m being paranoid,” you insisted, realizing that your subconscious was probably just trying to avoid anything to do with druig.
“no, what’s wrong?” gilgamesh asked, taking a step in your direction, stealing a glance at thena as he did.
hesitating, you said, “i feel like we’re being followed.” as the others exchanged glances you rushed to assure them that it was most likely nothing but your mind and body playing tricks on you. “it’s fine, though. i guess i’m just nervous to confront druig after so long.”
“remind me again why i have to do this every day for three weeks?” you whined to druig, kicking at the rocks that littered the sandstone path. “it’s only the second day and it’s just as boring as it was yesterday. you could’ve asked for anything else and you chose this.” you waved your arms in the air for emphasis.
druig chuckled at your clear boredom. “you wanted that book back, remember? and besides, i could use a little company on my walks.”
“who would’ve thought the ‘great druig’ ever got lonely,” you scoffed, finding what he had just told you hard to believe.
“it’s true!” druig exclaimed, shooting you a quick smile as he spoke. “plus, it’s nice to have someone to talk to, even if they are complaining the entire time.” a pointed look came your way.
“fine, fine. i will try to enjoy this,” you said, looking around as the sun started to peek over the tall buildings, basking the city in the morning light.
the rest of the walk into the marketplace was filled with arm-brushes and small talk, mostly druig teasing you about anything and everything. you started to enjoy his presence (more than you already had) and noticed how much you smiled around him, your stomach doing flips every time he flashed you a grin or even just said your name, liking the way it rolled off his tongue.
“oh this is absolutely beautiful,” you sighed, hand reaching out to touch the silver pendant that was hanging from a vendor’s stall. the woman who ran the stall was busy helping someone else, trying to sell a woven bracelet made from horse hair to a gruff-looking man.
druig smiled at the way your eyes lit up. “then get it. silver looks beautiful on your skin tone.”
“ i don’t know,” you said, retracting your hand from the necklace. “ajak said to stop spending my money on things i’d just lose the next day.”
“well, if you’re not going to buy it, then will you go grab us something to eat? i missed breakfast this morning,” druig asked, watching as you nodded and walked off in the direction of the food stalls.
as soon as he couldn’t see you anymore, druig reached for the pendant, taking it from its display station. he turned to the seller, watching as she happily told the man she had been talking to earlier to come back soon, and approached him with a smile.
“hello, i apologize for the wait, sir,” the sales-woman compensated, taking the piece of jewelry from his hands. “will this be all?”
druig nodded, and he quickly paid for the pendant, not wanting you to come back while he was purchasing the silver relic. after he had finished, parting ways with the sweet vendor, he went off looking for you, the necklace laced through a loop attached to his suit.
he found your back turned to him, chatting with a vendor as they handed you two skewers of grilled maize with a kind face.
“thank you so much,” he heard you say before he braced a hand on each of your shoulders, pulling you back just enough for him to get his head over your left shoulder, startling you.
“there you are, my dear,” druig mused as the faltered smile on your face returned back to its original one. “i got you something.”
“i actually got you something too, per request,” you said, following your companion to an open space. “i hope you like maize because it was the only option they had.”
as you went to hand him one of the two skewers you had purchased, he held up a hand. “hold on, i want to give you yours first.”
“oh,” you said simply. “alright. but what do i do about the food in my hands?”
druig laughed at your question. “just hold it, darling. and close your eyes too.”
giving him a skeptical look, you hesitantly shut your lids. “this is making me nervous, druig, i don’t like it.”
“calm down,” he assured with a smile you couldn’t see, stepping behind you and unclasping the necklace before reaching his arms around the base of your neck. you jumped at the foreign feeling, groaning when druig laughed.
“what are you doing to me?” you questioned, shifting your weight from one foot to the other. druig stayed quiet, and let the pendant rest against your chest as he clasped it around your neck, grinning as you let out an, “oh.”
“you can open your eyes now,” he told you, watching as you turned to face him, looking down at the new piece of jewelry on your neck. his mouth started to turn downwards when you didn’t react immediately. “what’s wrong? do you not like it?”
“no, no, it’s not that,” you promised, looking back up at him. “it’s just that...no one’s ever done anything like this for me. druig, thank you, i love it.”
nodding, druig smiled again. “good, i’m glad you like it. now,” he reached out and took one of the skewers from you, “i can take that.”
“still be on guard, though,” ikaris warned, scanning the trees around you all before continuing any further. in silence, you all followed him, everyone’s eyes on the forest.
not much longer, sprite pointed out a roof up ahead, and soon, later, you all stepped into a small village. the one that belonged to druig, you weren’t exactly sure.
the eight of you all started to look around, karun filming while kingo narrated and pointed at the buildings. you, though, walked up to a pair of children playing with straw-made dolls, gaining their attention to ask a few questions.
when the little girl on the right looked up at you, a joyful smile splaying on her lips, the easing expression on your face dropped as you stared at familiar gold eyes.
he’s here, you realized instantly, your throat starting to close up. walking backward, you looked around you, at the same pair of eyes that everyone in the village shared. what threw you off, even more than you already were, was that they were all staring at the strangers in their home, or, more specifically, you.
“oh, fuck me,” you cursed under your breath, flinching when a set of pale-colored doors opened to your left, revealing the person you really had no intention of seeing again before this whole fiasco started.
walking out with a smug smile, druig locked eyes with you. “well look who finally decided to come visit.”
too dumbfounded to speak, you heard someone cough on your right when only stillness remained in the air. realizing it was sprite, you felt her nudge your shoulder, silently urging you to say something.
“we, uh, we need your help,” you managed to say, standing a little straighter. the awkwardness in the air felt absolutely suffocating.
“you’re gonna have to make me,” druig challenged, looking up at ikaris, daring the taller male to make a move on him.
beside phastos, you watched in horror at what was happening. with the screams and shouts and gunshots, you couldn’t tell if you were more scared of the genocide happening around you or the threats exchanged within your family.
you understood why druig wanted to end the wars and issues between the humans, but you also knew that they needed to sort it out on their own. after all, you were just sent here to protect them from the deviants, not assist them in their relationships with each other.
ikaris took a step back from druig with a scoff, looking back at ajak, hoping she would somehow handle the situation.
“i’m ending this,” you heard druig say to no one in particular, stepping up to the edge of the temple, eyes already burning a bright gold. you didn’t have to see the swords and other weapons drop to know that they did.
as druig started to descend down the steps, you called out to him, rushing to where he had once been. he looked back up at you, eyes no longer the blue you had come to adore over centuries together.
“don’t go,” you pleaded, not knowing what else to say to get him to stay. you knew you couldn’t follow him to wherever he was going, not wanting to interfere with human affairs. it felt wrong, no matter how much you hated to see it. you’d grown accustomed to ignoring the human problems, and you wondered why druig hadn’t.
he extended a hand. “come with me.”
tears started to stream down your cheeks as you shook your head, taking a step back. you couldn’t just abandon your family.
“come with me,” druig repeated, the words strained. he reached out his hand further, silently begging you to take it. when you only shook your head again, he let his arm fall back to his side. he opened his mouth to speak when you cut him off.
“don’t even think about trying to control me druig, or, i swear it, there will be nothing but hatred for you in my heart,” you practically seethed, stomping out the option entirely. you continued to stare at him, not sure whether you should be angry or sad and awaiting his next move.
he reached out once more, but only to touch the silver pendant hanging at your neck, his luminous eyes flickering from it to your face before he turned away and started to descend down the steps once more. you watched him with longing eyes, leaning against the stone pillar beside you.
a choked sob escaped your lips as you grasped the pendant, ripping it from your throat and tossing it on the blood-stained floor.
“i’m sorry, you expect me to just drop everything and come help you put a celestial being to sleep?” druig scoffed, shaking his head at the absurdity of ikaris’ request.
sersi sighed, standing from her spot on a wooden bench. “look, i know it seems difficult, but it can be done.”
“oh, i’m aware it can be done, but you can’t just drop on a person that their entire existence is a lie and that they need to help protect a place they’ve been wanting to leave for so long,” druig said, eyebrows raised.
from your spot in the back, resting against the wall and propping a leg up on the bench, you watched intently as everything unfolded. after you had said the first words to him, you intended to say no more. you wanted to avoid directly speaking to druig for as long as you possibly could. you didn’t want him toying with your feelings again; you didn’t know if you could handle it a second time.
“and what about you?” the sudden question pointed your way snapped you back into reality, head whipping in the direction the voice had come from. you slouched back against the wall when you realized it was druig, trying your best to look disinterested.
“what about me?” you asked, feeling everyone’s eyes on you both. damn this whole situation, you thought as druig grew closer, his footsteps growing louder as he walked.
he looked you up and down, trying to decipher what had changed. obviously, you still looked similar, but there was also something else. possibly the way you held yourself, or even the tight-fitting pants and camisole you wore, exposing more skin than you ever would have the last time he saw you. he also noted the way your fingers played with the necklace that rested against your collarbone. it was a habit of yours when you grew nervous or unsure. and to say that he didn’t immediately recognize the pendant would have been a lie.
“you’re really okay going against a full-blown celestial?” druig asked, eyes locked with yours as he placed his hands in his pockets.
the question made you stand from your spot defensively, and as you stepped up to druig, the air in the room shifted. “yes, i would. and i had already told the others along the way here that you probably wouldn’t help us, that you couldn’t care less about the people on this planet unless they were under your control. it seems i may have been right; some people don’t change, even after a few decades holed up in some hideaway village, pretending to be in a utopia.”
the words spilled from your lips quicker than you would have liked, and, when you finished, the smirk on the eternal’s face was gone.
“you’re insufferable, druig,” you seethed, turning on your heel and making a beeline for the door, your face still twisted in anger.
ikaris stepped in front of the door, placing an open palm on your shoulder in an attempt to stop you. “we have things we need to discuss-”
“then discuss them without me,” you snapped, pushing his hand off and walking outside, back into the muggy air. as the door shut, the villagers nearest to the church stopped and watched you go into the forest, their yellow eyes glowing. you ignored them, walking further and further, cursing druig and all that he had put you through.
after you had decided you’d gone far enough, you sat down on a large tree root, threading your fingers through your hair in frustration. the sounds of the forest - the rustle of the trees, birds chirping, etc. - calmed you down as you focused solely on them, head swarming with thoughts of druig and arishem and the emergence.
the snap of a twig behind you made you jump to your feet, summoning your power as you fixed into a defensive stance. you scoffed when you were faced with druig. his change of attire didn’t go unnoticed by you. figuring he must’ve grown too hot in the long-sleeve he had on previously, he was sporting a light grey shirt with cut-off sleeves, strong arms on display.
“how did you find me?” you asked harshly, standing a little straighter in his presence.
“my love, i don’t think you mean it, but your thoughts are very loud,” he said as you turned your back to him and sat down again.
his footsteps grew closer and you shook your head at his words. “stop it. stop with the pet names and the sweet words, druig.” he sat down next to you, leaving a few inches between your thighs. “don’t talk to me like we’re a couple and you’re madly in love with me. we haven’t seen each other in centuries, druig, and the last time we did you left me heartbroken atop an aztec temple. so, stop it.”
the silence that followed afterward hung heavy in the air as druig let your words sink in. he could hear your thoughts; the violently bitter ones replaced by words of instant regret and worry.
“please,” you whispered, fiddling with your necklace yet again, finally looking over at druig. “don’t flirt with me if you don’t intend to actually do something with it.”
the wind rustled your hair as you stared at the forest floor once again, willing you to keep all the pent-up frustration at bay; the last thing you wanted was for druig to see you start crying. clasping your hands together you said, “aren’t you going to say anything? i know you didn’t just walk out here to sit by me and bite your tongue.”
“you’re right, i didn’t,” druig said, rotating himself so he had a better view of you. “i came out here to, essentially, tell you that i do love you, that i do want a relationship, and that, a couple of centuries ago, i was too scared to admit that to myself so i left, hoping the feelings would trample themselves out with time.
“but they didn’t,” he went on, his accent thick as he spoke. “as i spent my time alone, in solitude, away from the rest of the world, i realized how much i had come to love and cherish you. i had, unbeknownst to my consciousness, become dependant on you. i revolted at the idea, until today, when i could hear, feel, you enter my village, my space. i could sense the uncertainty in you when your eyes landed on me after so long...and when i saw you, i think i fell in love all over again.” a short pause. “in the end, i always knew my feelings were inevitable.”
you blinked at druig’s words, astounded at what he had said, at what he had just confessed to you. this side of him was new; his vulnerability made you cautious. “why didn’t you ever come looking for me if you felt this way?”
“because i was afraid you would turn me away,” druig answered honestly, the yearning clear in his eyes as he looked at you. “after what i did that night...i would understand if you told me to fuck off and never even look your way again-”
“no, that’s out of the question,” you interrupted, shaking your head at him. “druig, i still harbor feelings for you; hell, i don’t think they ever left, hence the reason i still wear this god-forsaken pendant. you can have me, druig. i will gladly call you mine, but if you break my heart again, there will be no third time.”
you took his hand in yours, lacing your fingers together as you talked to him truthfully.
druig’s eyes flashed from you to your locked hands. “and i am okay with that.” the tug of a smile on his lips. “i will try not to be too mean in our time together.”
you felt the same pull on the corners of your mouth at his attempt to ease things over. giving his hand a squeeze, you said, “good. because although i tend to like bad boys, they at least have to have a soft spot for me.”
“oh?” druig’s eyebrows rose. “you like them in all black and clad in a leather jacket?”
pretending to give some thought to it, you nodded. “yes! preferably with some muscle too. not too much or too little, though.”
druig scoffed, standing from his spot as he shook his head in fake disbelief. “alright i’m done with this conversation.”
as his hand started to slip from yours, you tugged him forward, using his body weight to pull yourself up. “wait! i’ll come back with you.”
adjusting your hand in druig’s, you stepped over the root you both had been sitting on previously, leading the mind-controlling male back to the village center. as you walked back the way you had come, the sudden stillness from earlier filled the air. the birds and bugs had gone silent, and the wind settled between the trees.
druig halted, forcing you to do the same, his eyes glowing as you summoned your own power for the second time that day. “what is it?”
“i don’t know, everything’s normal at the village, something must have-” a shrilling cry sliced through the air, cutting druig off as a crash echoed in the distance.

You swear the compound has never been so full.
In the kitchen you have Bruce, Gilgamesh, Rhodey and Peter making food that smells absolutely incredible.
You’re pretty sure they’re talking about the science of fermentation given Peter and Bruce’s science background and Gilgamesh’s interest.
“I’m telling you,” You listen to Gilgamesh from afar, “kombucha is the way to go.”
“I’ve made it for thousands of years,” he adds on casusually.
“I’m pretty sure it’s alcoholic,” Peter speaks up, “and I’m not even an adult.”
“Can you even get drunk?” Rhodey asks, “with the spider metabolism and all?”
“It can definitely happen,” Bruce cuts in, “but it’d have to be a lot.”
“You should try my brew,” Gilgamesh suggests, “it’s a combination of mead, wine and beer.”
“He’s a kid,” Rhodey defends, “he shouldn’t be drinking that.”
“Well soon enough then,” he concedes, “Odin taught me how to brew it himself.”
“That’s so cool,” Peter whispers.
You smile at the interaction before turning your attention to the dining table.
At the head of the table there’s Thena, with Ajak, Wanda and Phastos next to her. You think they’re talking about medieval weaponry, with Phastos looking slightly scared. Phastos’ partner is next to him, and Jack is asleep on the couch in the common room.
You see Phastos’ partner turn to him, “how was Wakanda?”
You see Phastos’s eyes widen, “babe, it was amazing.”
His partner smiles, “I knew you’d like it.”
“Shuri gave me her contact information and everything! The facilities, they’re just- it’s stunning,” he gushes over the short trip you had.
His partner kisses his cheek, “I’m glad you enjoyed yourself.”
Sprite, Sersi and Kingo are all engrossed in a conversation, you think about some movie Kingo was apparently in. You learnt he was a movie star given the first question he asked was if you saw his movies.
You hadn’t.
Makkari and Druig are at the opposite end of the table deep in conversation, their thighs touching as they sign back and forth.
You’re leaning against the doorframe watching everyone interact, glass on wine in hand.
Ikaris comes up and nudges your shoulder, “hi.”
“Hi,” you don’t turn your head, but instead watch everyone around you.
“How are you feeling?” He asks softly.
“Overwhelmed.”
You can see him nod in your peripheral, “of course.”
You turn to face him, “when's the last time you saw everyone?”
“Five hundred years ago,” he states.
“I’m sure this is a lot for you too,” you reach up and rub his shoulder.
“It is,” he admits, “but it’s nice that we’re together again.”
You smile, “I bet it is.”
“How about,” he leans and whispers in your ear, “we go take a walk?”
You take a sip of your wine, pretending to seriously contemplate it.
You shrug, “I guess we can do that.”
He flashes you a smile, “yeah?”
“Yeah.” You say before the two of you are sneaking out of the kitchen.
You walk aimlessly around the compound, somewhat giving Ikaris a tour.
You’ve walked through the living area and past the conference room used the most, and headed a floor up to the lab space.
The whole floor was sectioned off into four labs, one being Bruces, one yours, and the other two weren’t used a lot. At first Peter had used one of the spaces, but slowly integrated his things into your lab and Bruce’s, so he didn’t have to work alone.
You didn’t mind.
The other half of the floor were typical offices, for you, Bruce, Rhodey or anyone else to use.
You did have your own office, but it didn’t consist of more than a dying succulent on the desk you’ve sat in once.
There were also conference rooms connected to each office, but again you didn’t really use them.
When you walk past your lab you can sense Ikaris is confused, but doesn’t say anything as you keep walking.
You head to the elevator on the other side of the floor and make your way to the sky bridge that connected the medwing to the compound area.
You make your way to the middle of it and turn to the glass, admiring the view in front of you.
This side of the bridge faced the forest, and in the distance you could see the gun and archery range that was at the edge of the trees.
You look out for a while, enjoying the view in the silence.
Finally you break it, “thank you.”
Ikaris looks at you, a slight look of confusion on his face, “for what?”
“For knowing when to talk, and when to let me think,” you explain as you give him a small smile.
He nods, smiling in return.
“I just-” you start, but stop.
Ikaris doesn’t pressure you to talk, just lets you turn back to the view in front of you.
“Thank you,” you say softly again.
“Of course,” he says immediately.
You lean your head on his shoulder and he lets you.
You’re enjoying the silence some more when you hear someone come up behind you.
“Hi,” Wanda says softly, “dinner is ready.”
You turn to the witch and nod, moving to follow her.
You hesitate when Ikaris doesn’t move, but he shoots you a reassuring look, “give me a few minutes.”
“Okay,” you say softly before Wanda is linking your arm in hers and leading you to the kitchen.
“It’s hard for him too,” you tell her, “seeing everyone again.”
“I can tell,” she says, “his aura is foggy, uncertain.”
You turn to her in the elevator, “what is my aura like?”
She hesitates, “it’s cracked,” she finally says, “your mental layer is confused given everything.”
“Makes sense,” you try to joke, but Wanda just looks solemn.
“Wan,” you say, “what is it?”
“It’s just-” she hesitates and you take her hands in yours, trying to comfort her.
“It’s nothing,” she says after a moment, shaking you off, “it’s fine.”
You give her a skeptical look, “it doesn’t seem like nothing.”
“It’s okay,” she tries to assure you, but you don’t buy it.
“Tell me,” you take her hands again, running your fingers over her palms, “please.”
She takes a deep breath, “these people, eternals, have been through a lot. It’s hard not to pry,” she admits with a sigh, “it’s heavy.”
You nod as you continue to rub her hands, “I understand, I’m sorry you’ve been feeling this way.”
“It’s okay,” she whispers, but there’s no conviction in her voice.
She looks pained almost and you feel awful you didn’t notice her troubles sooner.
The elevator doors open, but you stay in the car, trying to soothe the girl.
You let her breathe for a bit before speaking up, “maybe you should go stay with Steven.”
She looks up at that, almost offended, “what?”
“Just until things are figured out,” you rush out, trying to explain, “I don’t want you to be in pain.”
“I’m always in pain,” she tries to joke, but you know she’s not.
“Wanda,” you take her in your arms and hug her tightly, “your mental health is more important than anything else.”
“What about you?” She speaks, voice filled with emotion.
You pull away to see tears in her eyes, “I’ll be okay,” you say, taking your thumb and wiping under her eyes.
“I swear,” you look her in the eyes, trying to convince her.
She looks guilty so you put your hands on her shoulder, “Wanda, go.”
“Who’s gonna look after you?” She whispers.
“I’ll take care of myself,” you tell her softly, “I will.”
“Do you promise to reach out if you need me?” She asks.
“Of course I will,” you say to the Sokovian, “you are the strongest Avenger after all.”
She smiles and you reach in to hug her again.
“We’ll be okay,” you say into her shoulder, “yeah?”
“Yeah,” she agrees before you pull back.
You send a quick text to Strange before portaling in front of the elevator.
He nods to you and looks to Wanda, “miss Maximoff.”
You give Wanda's hand a squeeze and smile before she’s walking through the portal.
You watch her walk into the sanctum and be greeted by Wong.
You turn to Strange, “thank you.”
He nods, “no problem,” he says before the portal in front of you is closing.
You let out a sigh and lean against the back of the elevator.
You look out into the hallway and see Ikaris pop his head into the elevator, “you’re hogging the elevator, you know that?”
“I apologize,” you say sarcastically, before pushing yourself off the wall and walking out of the elevator.
He looks into the elevator as it closes, “where’s Wanda?”
You explain to him that she had left, leaving out the exact reason so as not to make him feel guilty by it.
He doesn’t pry though thankfully as you make your way into the dining room.
Everyone is at the table now as you and Ikaris sit in two empty spots next to one another.
Dinner is chicken alfredo and garlic bread, and the site makes your mouth water. You didn’t realize how hungry you were, but quickly filled your plate as you listened to those around you.
Sersi, Bruce, Peter and Ajak are talking about what you think is bees.
Rhodey is talking to Kingo, Phastos and his partner, Gilgamesh and Sprite about his war stories, but the lot seems unimpressed. You give him a sympathetic smile before turning your attention to Ikaris.
He’s in conversation with Thena, but she’s looking at you curiously.
You don’t call her out because Druig speaks up to you, “so what’s it like being an Avenger?”
You shrug eating a bite of garlic bread, “oh you know, just like an office job. Very mundane.”
Makkari gives a smile at this signing ‘you haven’t changed’.
Druig starts to talk, but you cut him off replying to her, “I guess not?”
“You can sign?” Thena asks, ignoring Ikaris and you nod.
“You remember?” Druig says and you shake your head no.
“One of our teammates was deaf,” you explain, “Hawkeye.”
“Hawkeye,” Druig repeats, “I see.”
You feel uncomfortable under their gazes, but you feel Ikaris hand on your thigh under the table.
You look over at him and he gives you a smile, before scowling at Druig.
“Lay off Druig,” he says harshly, “or I’ll make you.”
“Is that a threat?” Druig doesn’t seem threatened, if anything he’s amused.
You look down at your plate, trying to focus on your food. You see Makkari in your peripheral signing Druig to tell him to calm down.
Ikaris drops it when you squeeze the hand on your thigh and gets back to his food.
“The food is really good guys,” you compliment as you take another bite.
“Thanks Y/N,” Gilgamesh smiles, “it’s good to have you back.”
“You were always willing to try his edible creations,” Thena muses over her glass of wine.
“They weren’t always edible,” Sprite whispers, but you hear her and laugh.
The rest of dinner went by smoothly and ended with the lot of you in the living room.
Sprite had created a fantastic illusion show for you all to watch, lounging on the couches in chairs together.
After the show most of you decided to turn in, so you had Peter and Ikaris help you out with setting the rooms up
“I swear they’re in here somewhere,” you mutter as you open another empty closet. You were trying to find extra blankets for the group.
“I think there’s some in the med bay?” Peter offers up from his spot on the ceiling, crawling as you walk through the hall.
“I don’t wanna walk all the way over there,” you groan, thinking of the eerie place.
“I can swing over there,” he suggests.
You nod, “good idea, thanks Pete.”
“No problem,” he says before he’s gone from the hallway.
“I could’ve gone,” Ikaris says, standing at the end of the hallway.
You shrug, “the kid can swing.”
“I can fly,” he counters.
You honestly didn’t think of it.
You shrug, “a little late now.”
“I guess so,” he agrees.
You make your way towards him as you think out loud.
“Thena, Gigameshl and Rhodey are at the range, Makkari and Druig are staying on the ship, so that’s how many rooms?”
“Phastos and his family will only need one,” Ikaris says, “one for Sersi, one for Sprite-”
“One for Ajak,” you continue for him, “Kingo, you and I think that’s it?”
“I think so,” he agrees.
“Okay,” you say, counting in your head, “so eight rooms?”
Ikaris nods, “yeah eight should do it.”
You send Peter a text to get plenty of blankets and some extra pillows. Even though the rooms were set up to hold guests, you wanted to make sure everyone was as comfortable as possible.
You and Ikaris make your way back into the living room to see Ajak and Sersi sitting on the couch in conversation.
“Where is everyone?” Ikaris asks the pair.
“Kingo and Sprite are in the screening room,” Sersi replies, “I hope that’s okay, Y/N.”
“More than,” you reply.
“Phastos and his family are in the lab with Bruce,” Sersi continues, “and I don’t know where the rest are.”
“Gil and Thena are with Rhodey,” Ikaris tells her and she nods.
“Did you need help setting rooms up?” Ajak asks gently.
You shake your head, “Ikaris was willing to help.”
“Was I?” He looks at you and you hit his shoulder.
“Yes, you were,” you give Ajak a smile, “thank you though.”
“Of course,” she smiles back.
“Make yourselves at home,” you tell the two, “if you need anything let me know.”
“Thank you for your hospitality,” Sersi says and you give her a smile.
“Of course,” you say, before you and Ikaris are off to Bruce’s lab.
You pop your head into the lab quickly to let Phastos know that their room will be ready soon and then head to range to tell Thena and Gil the same.
You and Ikaris are waiting for the elevator. When it opens you see a standing pile of blankets and pillows.
“Is there a Peter behind there?” You ask the bundle.
Peter sticks his head off to the side, “hi there.”
You grab a few blankets off the top, “hi.”
When you can see his face again you give him a smile.
“Thanks Pete,” you tell the boy and he smiles back.
Ikaris takes the blankets out of your hands and into his and you give him a confused look.
“You can let Thena and Gil know and I can help Peter out if you want,” Ikaris offers and you smile.
“Okay!” You tell him, “I’ll head back this way in a few minutes.”
You head down the elevator to make your way out to the garden, choosing to take the longer path to the range.
The moon was fully up in the sky and the night was windy, making you wish you’d brought a jacket out. You continue your walk to the edge of the garden, seeing the lights from the range easily from your position.
Your eyes adjust to the light in front of you, making it hard to see the darkness around you, but you pay it no mind as you continue to make your way towards the three out there.
You see something out of the corner of your eye, but before you could react it was tackling you to the ground, knocking you out cold.

You were currently on your shared bedroom with Druig at the dome. Laying side by side and game consoles in hands. You were having a blast with the new game you just got. Although it did cause some minor arguments about who did the mission wrong or whatever. The both of you knew you didn't mean it when you argued over games.
You were playing "It Takes Two", resuming a lot the history, it is about a couple that was getting a divorce. Very ironical, to say the bare minimum, since the game and the consoles were your anniversary gift for him, for one of your hundreds (literally) of anniversaries.
You never hoped that Druig would become so found of such a human/modern thing. But he was. He loved games, specially the ones he could play with you. You both would spend hours playing and laughing together, those turned to be one of his favourite moments with you.
The moment at the game now was one of those phases you both had to cooperate to get by. It was turning out to be more stressful than fun. But you both were still smiling at each other every time one of you did a stupid thing that made you loose and have to start over. After you made him fail at one of his tasks he stared at you doing the same expression his character had at the game and said, playfully at you "And that is why we're getting a divorce".
What neither him, or you, could ever imagine, was that a very unaware Kingo was walking by the door of your room and overheard the hole thing. This can't be happening. He thought. Without y/n Druig is going to be unbearable again. He rolled his eyes just by the tough of it. I have to do something.
. . .
While you were literally all fun and games. The eternals were crushed at the living room thinking about how would they try to convince you to get back together.
Kingo and Sprite were pure despair. Makkari and Sersi were both feeling offended you didn't talk to them about it before you made your decision, while Ikaris would never admit he cared about the both of you as much as he did, and he did think Druig was more bearable with you so he wasn't exactly happy either. Gilgamesh, Thena and Ajak were being reasonable and saying they would support whatever decision you made. But also sad.
. . .
When Ajak came to call the both of you for dinner you could tell something was off, she has a frown on her face and you looked at eachother very confused. You nod at her and say you two are coming soon, just need a little bit more time alone, tho you didn't mention it was for a game. Poor ones. She thought. They're thinking about a way to tell us.
"They're coming" she said now sitting at the table with everyone else. "Don't act all crazy about it. Let them have their own time." Everyone at the table nodded at her statement, ready for the two of you to come and spill the news. Witch got them very confused when the two of you walked at the room holding hands and smiling.
They're good at pretending. Kingo thought. They're so good together. He let out a tear he was quick on wiping out. But not before you noticed it and ask him what was wrong. Y/n's so strong. He thinks. Going through all of this and still concerned about me. "I'm alright" he says giving you a very-clearly-fake kinda smile "Are you alright?" He asks squeezing his eyes giving you a creepy look.
"I am," you say laughing at his weirdness "thanks for asking, kings" with that said you took your place at your seat next to your lover and acted normal trough the whole thing. Obviously. But for your other fellow eternals it was starting to get weird. You two were saying nothing?
By the end of the meal, Kingo was getting tired of the both of you hiding it, constantly exchanging looks with Sprite every time you showed affection towards Druig and, in his head, faking it for them. When you were about to seat up with the help of the mind controller hands. Kingo got up suddenly before you and yelled, very offended "So you two were planning on telling us when?"
You look at your lover shooting him a very confused gaze and he gives you a shrug and a frown, showing he also had no idea what was the subject in question, witch is what you decided to say. "What are you talking about?"
"ABOUT THE TWO OF YOU!" he says pointing his finger at you intertwined hands with your partner. Okay, now you were confused.
"About us?? You do know we're together, Kingo. You were literally at our marriage. 'the hell are you talking about?"
"YES. AT. THE. MARRIAGE. I WAS THERE. AND YOU TWO WERE NOT GOING TO TELL US ABOUT YOUR DIVORCE?" he yells and you look your other friends looking for answers, but for your surprise, they were all agreeing with him.
You look at Druig and start laughing. "What kind of joke is this?" you say unable to control your laugh and almost out of breath.
"Us," Druig points at you and him repeatedly "getting a divorce" he even leans on you now to support himself, the laugh also getting the air out of him.
You stop once you see the two of you were the only ones who where laughing. Now with the two of you in silence, you hear Sersi's voice. "Wait, so you two are not getting divorced?"
"Of course not, why on earth would we do that?" You ask her "And if I was, witch I'm not, you really thought I would do this without talking to you first" you sign to Makkari while verbalising it to Sersi. They both shrug, embarrassed. "Unbelievable, the two of you, unbelievable"
"Why did you think we were getting divorced, anyways?" you hear now the lovely accent of your partner behind you say while he places his hands on your waist, as someone who's reassuring everyone in the room you're still his.
"Well, I heard you say it" Kingo reveals waiting for the both of you to be shocked. You just laugh again.
"Kingo, have you ever heard of privacy? We were playing a video game, that's all, man." Druig shoots him a disapproval glance. "And also," before Kingo answers to him, he's now turned towards Ikaris "was that a sad look on your face when you thought y/n and I were breaking up?" Ikaris blushed
"No, it was not"
"Sure thing sweetie," now it was Sersi's turn to speak as she cupped the face of her husband. "let's pretend you didn't just asked me at dinner 'what would be of our double dates now?'" she air quoted his words while the eternals now turned their attention to him to make fun out of it.
"That's adorable, Ikaris" you mock while hugging your husband and looking at your family gathered at the table laughing at Ikaris. It may not be true you two were parting, but heavens did it feel good to see how much every single one of those cared about the two of you that much. You look at Druig cupping his face with your small hands and smile at him. "I love you, handsome."
"Love you more, my beautiful"

visitation hours
a/n: hi! another little something i thought of while rewatching eternals last night. hopes this resonates with some people. there's something i just couldn't get enough of from the domestic scenes between the eternals, when they're eating at gilgamesh's and then in ajak's house later on... i just needed to write about it, and incorporate druig into it, as well. so here it is! happy fluffy reading:)
my paypal (would be much appreciated since i’m saving up for uni next year :))

warnings: nothing! pure fluff because we all need it:)

A knock comes to Gilgamesh's door that rises suspicion. Thena never knocks on the door, she just comes through without warning. And no one else has visited them in a very long time. It might be Druig, Gilgamesh thinks, since he recently got in touch with Druig to help him out with Thena. And perhaps it is Druig.
When Gilgamesh walks over to the front door of his house and opens it up, he's pleasantly surprised by what he sees. It's not Thena, it's not Druig. Instead, it's Y/N. And she looks as happy and radiant as ever. “You guys sure chose a nice place to settle down.” She quips at him with that grin of hers, and sunglasses on her eyes to shield them. Gilgamesh laughs.
“Y/N!” He exclaims before pulling her into a tight hug. Y/N embraces him right back, loving the feel of her friends' arms around her, and realising she's missed it a lot. “What are you doing here?” Gilgamesh pulls back, looking over her for any sign of trouble. “It's been so long...” he regretfully admits.
Y/N shrugs. “I wanted to check in on you guys,” she says and then playfully pushes her fist against Gilgamesh's bicep, imitating a battle sound afterwards, “had missed you.” She admits, then, her big heart and emotions always floating up to the surface.
“Awh, I've missed you too, big girl,” he says and then motions for her to step inside his house, “come on, come in, I'm just finishing up on lunch.” Gilgamesh smiles. Upon stepping through the door and closing it afterwards, Y/N immediately hears a radio playing tunes from the 50s in one of the far corners of the beautiful little house. “I made this new stove for myself--well, an oven--where I can cook bread, pies, pizzas--anything I want. Pfastos would be proud, don't you think? I'm making a kitsch and desert right now. You'll want some?” Gilgamesh looks to Y/N.
And he finds her marvelling in the sight of his house. She doesn't need to ask to know that he built every inch of it himself, and she loves it. The house has the sense and way of Gilgamesh, it's so warm (even without the heat from the sun) and cozy. Full of love. Walking into the house, however small it may be, feels just like receiving a hug from Gilgamesh himself.
“This is so nice,” she tells him, finally back to reality, “I'd love some.” She nods to his question.
“Great! How long are you staying?” Gilgamesh questions as he continues preparing the kitsch, like he was before she came. He's just putting the finishing touches on the top part of the dough, and then it's ready to bake.
Y/N shrugs. “However long you'll have me.” She responds. She takes off her jacket, revealing a colourful linen blouse with a beautifully embroidered neck line that is very stylish nowadays, Gilgamesh knows that. “I'll set the table. Will Thena be joining us?”
Gilgamesh turns to Y/N slowly. “She's been very unfriendly lately,” he admits in a quieter voice, “won't eat, won't... won't even talk to me.” He sighs. Y/N can feel the anguish inside Gilgamesh and flashes her eyes silver to make part of the hurt go away for him.
“You can talk to me about that, Gil,” she says and the two lock eyes, “just us two for now.” She gives him a smile. Gilgamesh nods with a smile of his own and leaves the kitchen with the ready kitsch and desert in his hands, heading for his diy-ed oven. Y/N smiles sadly to herself and gets to searching for plates and cutlery around Gilgamesh's kitchen.
Gilgamesh turns out to be a masterful chef, and it's a surprise to Y/N that he hadn't cooked for the whole team beforehand and demonstrated these skills. The kitsch has everything in it that one could want, and all the ingredients make an incredible combination. The desert, which is a berry pie, is just as good. Y/N nearly bites off her fingers while eating.
“You eat this every day?” She asks in disbelief, her stomach full already as she keeps nibbling on the pie and its stuffing.
“Uh-huh,” Gilgamesh responds, “kinda got around to cooking ever since me and Thena moved here together.” He shrugs. “I mean, it's always something to do, something new to explore and find--combine different flavours and such.”
“Well, you make a great chef, Gil,” Y/N compliments, patting the chef's hand, “you should get one of those apron thingies, though, all your clothes will be ruined otherwise. See?” She pats a red patch on his shirt. “You've already got jam on you.” Gilgamesh looks down.
“Eh,” he moves his hand in a careless way, “I can always get more.” He shrugs. “But an apron would be nice, that's true. Would fit me, I think.”
“It would.” Y/N agrees. “But with something funny or cheeky on it.” She suggests with a chuckle. Gilgamesh laughs, too, and gets up from the table. He takes his and Y/N's plate to clean them, and wants to take the pie away, too, but Y/N whines. “No, no, leave it. I'll finish it.”
“Whatever you say, big girl,” Gilgamesh shakes his head, leaving the pie and Y/N be, and walks over to the sink. Y/N chuckles and rests her head on her arm, resting it sideways on it, and continues picking the pie apart piece by piece with her fork.
“Since when do you call her 'big girl'?” Comes a voice Y/N certainly wouldn't have expected to hear for a long time. Her eyes look up to its owner, her head still laying sideways, causing everything in her vision to appear much the same. She squints her eyes.
“Hey, Dru,” she greets him softly, but with suspicion as she eats two berries off her work masterfully. Druig gives her a slight grin, one of expectancy, and nods.
“Always have, always will,” Gilgamesh responds to Druig's question, “nice to see you, Druig. Have some pie while I clean up.”
“Don't mind if I do.” Druig responds and takes a seat directly across from Y/N at the table. He picks up a fork and looks at the girl before diving into the other side of the pie.
“What are you doing here, Dru?” Y/N asks him languidly, knowing by Gilgamesh's behaviour that Druig's arrival was expected. She just wonders why. Y/N watches Druig as he devours the very tasty pie, and she waits for his answer.
“Gilgamesh asked me to help out with Thena,” Druig mumbles, “put her to sleep while he takes some time off.” He answers.
“Oh, you're going on vacation, Gil?” Y/N looks to the chef, and he nods. “Where?”
“Fiji.” Gilgamesh answers with a smile. “I've always wanted to go there. Humans compare it to one of the Seven Wonders of the world.” He laughs.
“Oh, do they now?” Y/N laughs with him. Her and Druig's pie eating from each side has unconsciously turned into a race--who can eat more, and who can eat faster.
“What are you doing here, Y/N?” Druig asks and tilts his head so it'd be in one line with her tilted head. Y/N smiles softly at her fellow Eternal. “Aren't you supposed to be therapizing people in France?”
“Therapists can take vacations, you know, Dru,” Y/N retorts in the kindest of manners, all the while smiling softly, “I'd missed Gil,” she admits, “wanted to see how he was doing. And Thena.” A sad look crosses into her eyes. “Gil tells me she's not been so well.”
“That's what I'm here for,” Druig nods, “so this is almost like a reunion. We're one missing from half of us being here.” He says in a louder voice so Gilgamesh could hear, too. Druig grins while he speaks. Y/N smiles herself as she hears Gilgamesh chuckle.
“How's the cult going, Dru?” She teases, licking her fork clean with a grin still on her face. Druig shakes his head.
“It's not a cult, Y/N, and you know that,” he responds.
“Do I?” She raises an eyebrow. Druig raises one of his, too in response.
“It's quite alright.” Druig answers. “There've been no intrusions, everything's going smoothly.” Y/N listens to the tone of his voice as he speaks, and she squints her eyes slightly. She never did fully agree with Druig's taking over the whole babylonian civilisation and keeping them locked away from the rest of the world. But it seems as though it's what he really wanted, and still does want, therefore he looks pleased with himself. But she knows he can be better than this. “I'm ready when you are, Gilgamesh.” Druig says, turning to look at his friend.
Gilgamesh sighs. “In a second, Druig,” he responds as he's still busy with dishes.
“Let me help you, Gil,” Y/N reaches out, standing up for aid immediately. Gilgamesh looks to her, his eyes asking if she means it wholeheartedly, “come on, I'm not entirely a guest. And you already made the food, so just let me clean everything up.” Druig watches her as she stands next to Gilgamesh now, smiling kindly at him. Gilgamesh nods and dries off his hands, giving the dish-cleaning mantle over to Y/N. He goes to sit down next to Druig. Y/N keeps the water running slowly so that she can join the conversation, if necessary.
“I don't know how your whole mind thing works, but,” Gilgamesh starts to say to Druig, whose eyes are flickering between Gil and Y/N, much to her unknowing, “you'll still have to keep an eye on her. I don't want her here alone.”
Druig rests a comforting hand on Gilgamesh's shoulder, “don't worry about that. I'll be here as long as you need it.” Druig assures, and is happy to see Gilgamesh smiling at his words.
“How long will you be in Fiji, Gil?” Y/N asks him.
“Three to four weeks,” Gilgamesh answers, turning in his chair to look at Y/N, “why do you ask?” Druig has the same question in his mind as he looks to Y/N again.
She shrugs. “I can stay here with Dru, help keep Thena safe,” she suggests and then turns off the sink water as she's done with cleaning. She dries her hands in a near-by towel and turns around to face both men, her hips leaning against the sink, “you never were one good with boredom, anyway, Dru.” Y/N says, crossing her arms over her chest and grinning at Druig. He smiles faintly, knowing that it's true.
“You sure you can have that much time off?” Gilgamesh makes sure, and Y/N nods.
“I'm sure,” she responds. Her month of vacation off work will be rightly spent if Gilgamesh agrees to her staying here with Druig. She didn't have a solid plan for what to do during this month, anyway. She just wanted to see Gil and Thena, and do whatever she wants afterwards. Except, there's not really anything she wants to do. Her work is her life, and so is her Eternals family. But that family has fallen apart.
“Okay, then you're both staying,” Gil decides, “just don't burn my house down when you're making food.” He advises as he rises from his chair. Y/N laughs, pats Gil's shoulder and the man leaves for the other room. To pack his bags for Fiji, Y/N guesses.
She and Druig lock eyes. They both also grin almost simultaneously. “This is gonna get interesting,” Druig says, rubbing his hands against one another in anticipation. Y/N licks her lips and chuckles.

You missed this, 11 loud laughs mixed in one large room. Ajak sat on the other end of the table, and you didn't miss the tears she tried to hide behind her long brown hair. The table erupted in booming laughter as Kingo told one of his stories from the set of one of his movies.
Gilgamesh slammed a fist on the table as a wheeze escaped his grinning lips. You jumped at the reaction and started to laugh at yourself. Your eyes looked around until they met Druig's blue ones staring back at you. A blush crosses your cheeks, and you flash him a kind smile. He smiled back at you, leaning back in the wood chair.
The laughter died down and the Eternals were on the verge of retiring for bed, "I'll help clean the table," Gilgamesh groans as he rises from the table. You follow and start collecting a large amount of piled-up dishes, shooting him a stern look.
"Gil you cooked everything. I got all this," you protest. Gil reluctantly agreed as he took Thena's hand to help her out of her chair. Soon most of the Eternals followed the pair, bitting their tired farewells.
"Let me help, my dear," Ajak coos as she started to stack the plates.
"I'll help her, Ajak," Druig cut in as he stands up.
Ajak's face softens, glancing knowingly between the two of you. Your eyes were too focused on the plates and bowls in front of you know how she looked at you. But Druig didn't miss it. Ajak nudges her head towards the mistletoe that was hung in the doorway leading into the kitchen.
Druig waves her off and starts to help you take things into the kitchen, "What do you need help with?" he asked as he looked at you from across the table.
"Probably just Kingo's twenty plates," you joke. He peers down at the places next to him and chuckles. He quickly collected the plates so that he could walk side by side into the kitchen.
"Thank you for helping me," you say softly as you place the plates down on the counter with a soft thud.
Druig sat his own hand full of dishes next to yours and wordlessly nodded in response. His eyes look over the door frame, then back to you. He bit the inside of his cheek as he saunters over to the door, leaning against the cold wood.
You follow behind him to return to the messy table but he catches your arm. Furrowing your eyebrows in confusion you finally look up, seeing the small plant wrapped with red ribbon. You began to blush, "Oh," you breathe quietly through parted lips. "W-we don't have to, Druig. Really, it's a silly tradition" you chuckle nervously. Oh but you wanted to, you really wanted to
Druig hums at your shyness, a playfully smirk appearing on his fair features, "I like tradition," he replies, gently pushing himself off the doorframe. His chest was like a magnet, and you couldn't help be drawn to it.
"I like tradition too," you tell him in a hushed tone as his lips come closer to yours.
Druig leans in a few inches more, his lips dancing over yours as he says, "I like you." The kiss is soft, delicate, and effortlessly romantic. His body melts into yours as he snakes his strong arms around your waist, and you instinctively place your cold hands on the sides of his face.
You finally pull away for air, a cheerful smile on your lips, "I like you too."

I’m sure that Thena loves Gil’s feathers in the Maleficent AU. Maybe you can do soft moments where Thena observes his feathers and wings without Gil’s knowledge? <3
"Thena!"
"Hm?" she blinked, looking over at Ikaris who huffed through his teeth in annoyance. "What were you saying?"
"I was asking if you are sure about this," Ikaris nodded his head at their younger brother, very visibly, very publically, offering Makkari a little trinket upon her return to the nest.
"Sure about what?" Thena mumbled, her eyes on the head of the guard, walking further into the nest from the stormy weather outside and flapping his sodden wings with displeasure. "We have known from the beginning that Druig was taken with that sentry. I think they make a very sweet pair."
"We do not live here, Thena."
"Don't we?" she countered, finally giving her brother the benefit of seeing how serious her expression was. "We have already extended our stay, brother. Druig is very happy with Makkari, and I believe you too have found companionship in Ajak's ambassador."
Ikaris flushed, whether by guilt or anger at her needling him. Or perhaps it was a truly emotional response to the bringing up of Sersi. "She is...pleasant. But I never would have expected to ground you and Druig here because of it."
"Do you think he does?" Thena argued again, gesturing to how Druig, thorny and disagreeable in nature, offered sweet and gentle smiles to the quick winged flyer. Her scarlet red feathers complimented Druig's pitch black ones.
They were different from Gilgamesh's, whose feathers were iridescent and dark, with earthy brown undertones.
Ikaris looked at her, "you want to stay."
"I wish for Druig to be happy." It was far easier to say that than thinking about any particular reasons she had for delaying their departure again and again and again.
Gilgamesh flapped his wings a little before walking further into the nest.
"And I do wish the same for you," Thena gave Ikaris a look that made him roll his eyes. She flicked his wing, "against my better judgement."
With that, she took off, letting her wings guide her gently down from the loft of her observations to the floor of one of the many entrances. She walked quietly, keeping her feathers from dragging behind her as she followed the captain of the guard into the mothernest's twisting tunnels.
"Gil?"
He turned, surprised at first but then offering her one of his very warm smiles he had.
"How was your flight?" she asked, regarding his still dripping and somewhat bedraggled wings. "Is the storm coming in fast?"
He nodded with a sigh, his wings sitting heavy behind him. "I think so. It'll be on us by tonight, from what Kingo spotted."
"Let me see."
Gil blinked, not catching on at first that she meant his wings, and their current condition. He fussed, "n-no, it's okay, really, I'm just-"
"Gilgamesh," Thena pursed her lips at him. Was he really embarrassed of his ruffled wings, like a young fledgeling. "I'm sure you need help at least with your pinfeathers. Allow me."
Gil simply went quiet as she took the liberty of turning him by the shoulders and examining his wings. He cleared his throat, "I, uh, guess you saw Druig and Kari."
Thena smiled as she brushed some of the beading dew off his shimmering feathers. "Indeed I did. I was the one who advised him on presenting her with something upon her return."
"Oh really?" Gil moved his wing to try and peek at her over his shoulder.
She moved it back in place to continue her work. "I want Druig to be happy. And it seems my fledgeling brother has finally chosen a mate."
"You think it's that serious?"
She smiled at the centre of Gil's back as she plucked an errant feather barely clinging on. "I think he asked me if he should serenade her."
"Ah." Gil's shoulders moved as she continued to preen him. It was a very intimate activity by sheer merit of how sensitive one's wings were, and how vulnerable any fae's back was. "You're right, the gift is way better."
They both laughed, the gentle sound of it echoing down the corridor one way and then out the other. Thena cleared her throat, "so, if you have any advice on courting rituals here, then I'm sure I would like to know for Druig's sake."
Gilgamesh moved his wing to look at her again, "hm, nothing fancy I guess. We don't have a lot of ritual to it--you wanna court?--court. If no one objects, then fine."
How easy it sounded. Thena moved his wing between them again. "I suppose it is becoming less common to have such archaic tradition. In the Isles, the trinkets and serenading are rather standard practices of courting. Many have mellifluous voices for song."
"Do you?"
She laughed again and pulled a feather more harshly, "certainly not."
Gil's shoulders rolled again, although his wings certainly seemed relaxed with her work on them. He sighed, "me neither."
Thena raised an eyebrow, not that he could see her, "I suspect that is not true."
He looked over, now lifting up his entire wing over her head, "I guess I could serenade you to test it."
Thena blushed faintly, his feathers still in her hands. "I wasn't done!"
"Sorry, sorry," he acquiesced, turning and offering his wing to her again. "I guess I've never really tested it out."
Thena pursed her lips. "Ikaris and Druig have no voice for song either. Trinkets are a much better language for them."
"And you?"
Thena blinked, wondering if she had heard him right. It seemed impossible, given their hearing ability and the general quiet of the caverns. But even a whisper could travel through the corridors, and Gil had such a nice, gentle voice.
It was most definitely suited for song.
"Hm?" she asked in not so many words, trying to focus on plucking any loose downy feathers.
"Almost done?" he asked more firmly, his wing still between them.
"Almost," she muttered, running her fingers over the smoothed out feathers only as far as she dared. He seemed much more preened and presentable, at least. She snapped her hands away, his feather pressed between her palms. "There."
Gilgamesh turned, lifting his wing up and over her again in their tight proximity. They settled at his back, sitting higher after a nice refresher. He smiled, "thanks."
Thena looked down at the sandals on her feet. The straps were wearing from age. "Any time."
"I, uh," Gil nodded his head behind him, "should get outta these wet robes."
Thena nodded. Indeed he should. "I'll make sure there's a plate for you by the fire."
"Thanks," he repeated, with a slight change to his tone. He tilted his head at her, "I'll see you out there, I guess."
"Right," she smiled, taking a half a step back from him. Her wings trembled nervously behind her.
"See you soon, I guess," he said finally, turning and continuing down the tunnel with his drier, lighter wings.
Thena looked down at her hands and sputtered. She still had his feather in her hands. "Gil!"
"Keep it!" he shouted back to her before dropping down into the lower tunnels, "a trinket!"

Temper (Dark! Druig Smut)
Tumblr media
Request:  please another dark! druig smut 😍
Thank you for your request! Please reblog, like, and let me know what you think!
Warnings: Smut, noncon smut, kind of somnophilia, a bit of degrating, Druig has anger issues, breeding kink
Summary: Druig meets you at an event in the Stark Tower. He grows overly fond of you, almost to an obsession.
18+ !!!! If you “keep reading” you are acknowledging that you are 18+ and that you have read the warnings.
Please Do not translate, no permission to repost any of my writing on any other platform, and do not copy this and claim it as your own.
“I don’t understand why we’re here. These parties are pathetic” Druig complained as he walked with the rest of the eternals through the Stark tower. “You think everything is pathetic Druig. Suck it up it’s for a good cause” Ikaris retorted. Druig let out a sarcastic scoff, “Good cause..you know they get a fat tax break if they label anything as a charity event. This isn’t because it’s in the goodness of their hearts, all rich humans are greedy conniving pieces of-” “Enough Druig. Behave” Ajak ordered. “I know this isn’t your scene but I greatly appreciate you coming here with us. It’s just for today and then you are free to do as you please.” She reassured making Druig soften up, nodding his head, understanding.
As the night when on everyone met each other and dinner was soon to be served. Druig spent most of his time walking around trying to avoid everyone. He is used to being surrounded with people who make him feel comfortable and perfectly controlled. The lack of was making it hard for him to stay calm. He walked around mad, his aura making it difficult for people to approach him. Eventually that became the goal for him. Druig got tired of all this and decided to bail, not caring what the rest of his family would say. As he got up from his seat Thena grabbed his hand, “where to?”. Druig swallowed not wanting to seem suspicious, “I’m just going to the bathroom, wanna join? I’m sure you can touch up your makeup there too” He joked making her chuckle, “not a chance. Hurry and come back, Kingo is going to preform soon” she said letting him go. “I wouldn’t miss it for the world” he sarcastically retorted before heading out.
When he got down to the lobby he controlled some guy in the bathroom to give him his clothes. He took them and erased the encounter from the guys mind. He was now in a leather jacket, pants, boots, and some pretty cool glasses that he got from homeboy in the bathroom. As he was walking out he heard his name being called out. Not in a way to get his attention but it was spoken out in conversation.
Tumblr media
Thats when he saw you. Talking fast into the phone, rushing to get somewhere. “I don’t care. I got this little part time gig so that I can see him, I’m not missing out this opportunity just to go to a lame ass party. If Druig ain’t there then IM NOT GOING. I gotta go I’m incredibly late” you barked ending the call and heading towards the elevators. When you crossed him, it was as if you were walking in slow motion. You were captivating. Beautiful would be an understatement, you just exuded it in his eyes. You had the most beautiful eyes, hair, lips. Absolute perfection from head to toe. And to top it all off, you were there for him? He thought to himself not really understanding why anyone would want to see him. He decided it would be best to make at least 1 person happy so he followed you. When you got to the elevator, the door was about to close but then a hand stopped it making you jump at the sound. “Sorry, im going up too” he said smiling. He was expecting for you to fan girl, scream, cry, literally anything girls did when meeting their idols but you just nodded and went back to your phone, not really looking at him. “Going up to the charity event?” He spoke after a couple seconds of silence. “Yes! I’m working it until midnight, how about you?” Asking him and then turning to face him.
There was something super familiar about him, but you couldn’t really tell. You stared at him in a concentrated state trying to remember where the hell you could have seen him. “I’m in it as well. Sort of” he smiled trying to see if you would catch on. “Hopefully we work together! I literally don’t know anyone I’m only here because I want to see all of the eternals in person. They’re so cool” you confessed letting go of your attempt to try and figure him out. Druig smiled making the lines around his eyes apparent, you were so incredibly cute and sweet too? Such a prize. “All of them?” He asked nudging you with his elbow. You giggled, playfully pushing him with your hand, “Okay fine..you got me I’m here for only one in particular. I don’t know he just gives off really nice vibes. Not to mention incredibly hot. Like damn, let me have your babies you know” you joked following it with a light laugh. Druigs eyes widened and his mouth opened to form an O. He was so shocked at what had just come out of your mouth. He quickly felt his body get hot and his jeans started to feel a little tight. “Don’t act so shocked! We’re all thinking it. I mean this man has to have like a million girlfriends” you said again. Druig couldn’t believe you STILL couldn’t figure out who he was. He took his glasses off, staring right into your eyes. “I don’t actually” smirking.
Now it was your turn to drop your mouth to an O. He couldn’t be. Could he? You asked yourself. Druig eyes flashed gold letting out a gentle chuckle, “It is me” he said holding out his hand, his palm facing up, waiting for you to place yours into it. It finally hit you…hard. You couldn’t believe what was happening. This was something that happened in dreams, but it felt so real. Then it dawned on you what you had said a bit ago, your face burning in embarrassment. “Oh…my..God…I am so so sorry. I’m so sorry…I didn’t know it was you! I didn’t mean to disrespect you like that I’m so sorry ugh” you babbled taking your hands and covering your face in embarrassment . Druig just laughed taking your hands in his, “please don’t be sorry, I thought it was really funny. You’re the first mortal to make me feel this flattered” he said taking your hand in his and giving the top of it a kiss as he originally intended. His soft lips were moist when they landed on your hand, and the way he looked at you while he did it…w0w..you were in heaven.
The elevator finally opened at the very top floor and it was time to go your separate ways, “Well Druig it was so nice to meet you. I guess my plans are now exposed so I’ll see you during the event! Hopefully we can talk again soon. I already signed up for this thing so now I have to go through with it. Anyways my name is y/n, it was so nice to finally meet you” you said extending your hand so that he could shake it. Druig smiled and took your hand, but pulled you into a hug instead. He squeezed you tightly, rubbing his hand up and down your back making you get goosebumps. “Pleasure is all mine, my sweet y/n” he whispered before letting you go and exiting the elevator.
With each step that he took he couldn’t stop thinking about you. He wanted to keep you by his side, learn about you , see inside your mind. He wanted to be yours and for you to be only his. When he regrouped with the others, Sersi quickly noticed his change of attire. “What happened to your clothes?” She questioned making everyone else turn. “I think he looks great” Kingo said making Druig laugh. “I felt more comfortable in this. I just gave my clothes to a fan and they left, happily.” He lied. “ quote on quote “fan” he probably forced them to” Gilgamesh said smiling. Ajak took a deep breath, “No more of your tricks Druig. Just behave!” She scolded again. Druig just nodded, but wondered how long he would be able to do so when you were roaming around here somewhere.
When it was time for desert you had to go to each table and ask if they were having any. Being that this event was for the Eternals you were sent to them first, your heart pounding in your chest as you made your way to them. You knew Druig was there, making you excited yet nervous. “Good evening everyone, I hope you’re having a great time here at the Stark tower. Would anyone be interested in some dessert” you asked. You could feel Druigs eyes on you, your peripheral vision catching the slightest sight of him facing you. As you got everyone’s orders you passed by him smiling when both of you made eye contact. His flirty self decided to wink at you, making your face flare up, giggling as you passed. No one noticed as everyone was too busy and entertained in conversation, except for one. “Oh my god, I can’t believe you got a thing for the hostess” Kingo said making Druigs head snap toward him and ripping his eyes from you as you walked away. “I don’t. Mind your own business” he said taking a sip of his drink.
“Dude you know she’s taken right?” Kingo said in a dead serious tone, making Druigs face turn into stone. “She’s not” he stated firmly, feeling himself getting mad. “Yes she is! I literally saw her making out with captain America’s best friend..Bucky I think they call him” he explained. No this couldn’t be, could it? He felt dumb because he didn’t ask if you were taken or even see in your mind if you were. His anger got the best of him, gripping his hand too hard on the glass he shattered it making everyone turn around. Kingo mouthed a “what the fuck” giving his napkin over to Druig. “I was kidding! The hell is wrong with you” he whispered. Ajak saw the bloody cut on his hand and quickly healed him, “Go take a walk and clean yourself up. Don’t come back until you’re ready to act right” she instructed, reassuring everyone that it was just an accident. Kingo felt guilty, maybe messing with him like that wasn’t the best idea, “let me help” he said getting up to follow. “No..I want to be alone” Druig barked leaving the room while Kingo sat back down.
He tried to remember where he saw you disappear to and he remembered you were going towards the huge kitchens. He wiped his hands off before entering, eyes scanning for you. You were rushing trying to get everything nice and making sure the plating was perfect. “Are you busy?” A familiar voice called making you smile. “Never for you. How can I help” you asked turning on your heels. Druig melted at how loving and flirty you were. Just making it that much easier to fall for you. “Can I talk to you..in private” he asked motioning with his head that he wanted to take you outside. “Sure! But we have to hurry because these need to go out in 2 minutes” you explained. “I’m gonna need more time than that” he said motioning to the desert coordinator to come to him. “Take these out on time and excuse y/n for her absence the rest of the night. She’s taking care of some personal matters that have come up suddenly” he told him, his eyes turning to gold making the coordinator nod in agreement as he turned away. It was your first time seeing something like this, it was so fascinating. You’d only heard of his ability to control minds, you never thought that you would be the one seeing it this close up. Druig grabbed your hand and started pulling you out with him, swimming through the huge crowd of chefs, servers, and carts of food. “I can’t believe you just did that! It was so cool” you praised as he finally got you two out. “ we’ll believe it sweetheart, It’s my specialty” he said pulling you in to a room that seemed to be an office. “I noticed..now, what did you want to tell me” you asked impatiently, shaking his arm for him to tell you.
“I’m sorry of this is too blunt but are you seeing someone?” he asked softly, as he placed his hands on your cheek. You shook your head, your beautiful eyes looking up at his, a smile tugging at your lips. “That’s good” he said bringing you close to him, “Because now youre mine” He said, voice barely above a whisper. It’s sounded like he was joking but he also sounded a bit serious. “Druig..We just met. What if I’m not up to your standards?” You confessed hoping that he wouldn’t be turned off by this. “My beautiful y/n..I’m choosing you because you’re so captivating. I just can’t stop thinking about you. It’s been a very looong time since I’ve felt like this. It just feel so right ” he said bringing you into a soft kiss. His lips were so soft and plushy it made you want more. As he was pulling away you reconnected the kiss, this time Druig being caught by surprise. It didn’t take long for him to take the lead again, pushing you against a wall, he started to kiss you with hunger. He needed more of you, lifting your leg up as he ground himself into you, making you moan into him. It was all happening so fast so you broke away from the kiss, “Druig.. I think we should take it slow?” You asked looking at his needy state, his eyes laced with lust and noticeably darker. “I’m sorry y/n..I’m sorry.. youre just so intoxicating I want you so badly” he said pushing himself onto you again. “I want you to! But please I want you to get to know me better. I want to be worthy of you, a grand eternal. Please let’s us take it slow” you pleaded. Druig came back to his senses and remembered where the two of you were. He forgot how good it felt to want someone so deeply, he just lost a little control. Something he wasn’t very used to.
“Of course y/n, let’s take our time. But I have one tiny condition” he said holding his fingers to signify something little. “Yes anything!” You exclaimed. “You have to be my girlfriend, and I your boyfriend. Starting today” he stated. Thinking of it you let out a soft hum, wondering if this would be good. “I promise we’ll go slow on everything, I just don’t want anyone else to have you but me. That’s understandable right?” He said lovingly a he fixed your hair. “Okay Druig we can! But don’t be going all nascar fast on me. Remember..slowww” you motioned with your hands, joking. He laughed and smiled, “anything you want love but you might have to remind me one more time or two..or three” he said pecking your lips.
~~~~a month later~~~~~~~
As you two got familiar with each other it was as if you two were a match made in heaven. He was just incredible to you. He supported you like no one else had done in the past and protected you from anything, and everyone. He was so flirty most of the time but the thing that made you fall deep for him was how caring he was. Everything you’d ever wanted was bottled up and packaged nicely in Druig. On the flip side Druig was consumed by you. He loved everything about you, not wanting to share you with no one. He eventually convinced you to spend most of your time with him , not that you needed a lot of convincing, but he made it feel so comfortable for you to choose him over others. He loved to have you with him always and borderline begged you to sleep over. You thought it was so cute of him to be so clingy but it was soon to change as his obsession got deeper.
You were contacted for another event at the Stark tower and you were going to be working all evening until late at night. Druig was not pleased with this as he didn’t like you being out alone, specially at night. Your cute and flirty personality would certainly draw in unnecessary attention to you, making Druig feel restless as he waited for you to come home. He decided to just head to his house as he was tired of waiting in yours, but he was upset. In his mind he thought it would be a good idea to check in. He wanted to see where you were and what you were up to you. You were clearly busy because you didn’t answer him after the all the calls and texts he sent. He summoned many minds at once to try and find you, not taking long to do so. He was able to reach a person that was near you and Druig was able to listen in on what you were telling your coworkers. “you should totally come with us to the bar after work. Im sure your man wont mind” she tried to convince. “I dont think thats such a good idea, hes already very protective. The last thing I want is for him to be upset with me. Hes wanting me to head home right after work” you explained with a disappointed tone. Why though? Did you actually want to go be a slut for free drinks? Druigs mind was already starting to unravel with negative thoughts.
 “Thats so lame y/n, you never go out anymore. Ever since you started dating him, hes got you so trapped. Im guessing sex must be out of this world if hes trying to keep you that badly” she joked making you look down , as you fixed up a plate. “Actually we havent even had sex yet. I told him when we first started dating that I wanted to take things slow. Yeah we get all horny and touchy but I stop it. I think im ready though, I just dont know how to go about it” you confessed, now looking up at your coworker. She had a very surprised expression on her face, “Damn sis, no sex yet and hes being like this? Reedd flag” she said shaking her head in disapproval. Druigs temper has never been the best but this conversation here made him see red. He thought youd be able to confide in him, not vent to some raggedy coworker. Specially about sex. Hes been waiting far too long for you. During those Late nights, he pleasures himself thinking of all the ways he would make you his. How you would moan when he was deep inside you, unravelling under him. “Fuck me Druig..fuck me hard Daddy” the lewd image was burned into his mind, just imagining how fucking submissive youd be for him. So perfect. He had to dig into your mind a couple times to learn how you wanted to be treated during sex, what kinks you were into. The best feeling was when he found out that your kinks mirrored his own. He let go of the person that was listening to you and shifted in his seat back home, trying to readjust his hardened member. There's only so much a person can take, but tonight he had enough. You were going to be his in every way possible. He planned to explain it to you that he could no longer wait, and that he would promise to make it unforgettable.
When your shift was over you headed home. You called Druig and it sent you straight to voicemail. This was not good, he was surely upset. You were so tired from the nights work so you just let him be and hoped that he would cool off in the morning. When you got home, you took a hot fast shower and got into bed. Not a minute after you fell asleep, finally feeling pleased that you were going to rest. Druig eventually made his way back to your house, quickly slipping in as he had a key to your front door that you hid under the welcome matt. He was going to wake you up but as he was about to wake you, he heard you moan his name, making him freeze. “mmm Druig babyy..” your soft low voice grumbled. “y/n?” he whispered not sure if you were awake or asleep. “Daddy pleaaasee” you mewled as your hips shifting up slightly. He could not believe it, you were thinking about him in your sleep. You were having a wet dream. All of Druigs morals disappeared, knowing damn well what he was about to do to you. His eyes soon glowed gold as he kept you deep in sleep, but let your conscious go enough to feel what was going to happen. He uncovered you from the blanket and to his surprise you were wearing nothing. He licked his lips at the site, you were so perfect. He undressed himself and climbed into bed with you, his lips connecting with yours. You felt his lips on yours, making them move ever so slightly. Druig smiled as your body gave in to him willingly, encouraging him to go further.
His lips went to your jaw, down to your neck where he took his time marking you. Feeling the sensation made you shiver, letting out soft moans. “My dirty little girl...youre so wet for Daddy and I havent even touched you up all the way” he grunted into your neck. In your mind, this was a dream. The most realistic and erotic dream, you felt in paradise. “I want y-” you stammered not being able to form a full sentence. “darling im going to give it to you so good, but Daddy needs to feel your yummy little mouth on his cock” he said positioning himself up. He supported his body with a knee right beside your head, his other leg was up, giving himself the ability to dip down his cock into your mouth. He grabbed your face and made you part your lips, pushing himself past them. “Suck me princess” he said, making you hollow your cheeks slightly as your mouth attempted to take him. Druig moaned and shuttered at the feeling of your hot wet mouth. He knew you would be better at this if you were awake but he couldnt have that right now so he settled with what you were giving him. A few pumps in and his dick was wet from your saliva, “youre such a good slut for Daddy, even when youre sleeping” he praised. He got up and positioned himself at your entrance, rubbing his tip along your wet folds, making you squeal and move your hips away. Druig smirked as he held them down, “where you going love, im about to tear into your needy little cunt” he darkly chuckled pushing himself inside you. Your face contorted in pleasure, panting at the feeling of being so completely full. Druig hissed at your tightness, leaning down to wrap his arm around you. His nose and mouth twitched at the feeling, his hips rolling into you as he held you. “Daddyy” you moaned, encouraging him to go faster.
“My kitten..youre taking Daddy so so good” he whispred into your ear. The sound of skin slapping filled the room, the wet sound of him ramming into you was music to his ears. You were making a mess and he loved it. He held you as he fucked into you, whispering sweet nothings into  the crook of your neck. The feeling was too much, specially when your sweet moans were right in his ear. He was pushing into your gspot with every thrust he did, it eventually pushed you to orgasm, grunting as your body trembled in pleasure. With your erotic moans, he just couldnt control himself, “fuck y/n..im going to cum inside you..my breedable pet” he growled before spilling himself inside you, staying still as he drained himself inside you.He kissed your soft lips as he rode out his high, pushing his seed deeper and deeper inside of you.  When he finally pulled out, he cleaned you and himself up before slipping back into bed and falling asleep cuddling you.
The next morning your eyes fluttered open looking at the sun that was poking in from your window. When your consciousness came back you remembered your dream about Druig. It felt so good and real, would it be a good idea to even bring it up? I mean he could see inside your mind one day as see that in there. As you were debating with yourself you rolled over only to stop midway. You quickly sat up scared, not knowing who it was immediately, “oh my god! D-Druig is that you?” you asked looking at his body, his eyes still closed. Your eyes roamed his body, you noticed he was shirtless and that the outline of his dick was showing under the thin bed sheet. He was totally naked! “Goodmorning beautiful..yes its me.” he said with his voice husky and full of sleep. “How did you get in here? wait when did you even come?” Druigs eyes finally opened, side eyeing you before closing them again, “The key under the matt. Stop asking questions, lets sleep some more” he said grabbing you and pulling you on top of him. “let me go..you cant just sleep here without telling me” you said getting off of him now feeling angry.
With your anger, his followed. Before you got off the bed, he pulled you back  by your hair and pushed you down underneath him, his hands pinning yours on either sides of your head. “you better fix your attitude before I fuck it out of you. You havent been behaving lately” he said making you confused. “What do you mean?” Druig rolled his eyes, “you talking shit about our relationship to your coworker” he snarled, his grip tightening. “Druig please..i wasn't talking shit, and how do you even know about that. Did you go inside my head?” you asked, alluding to the fact that he couldnt do it because he promised not to. “I didn't have to, I have eyes and ears everywhere, have you forgotten?” he smirked. “Just let me go, I want to be alone” you said that last part barely above a whisper. Druig scanned your face, smirking and shaking his head in disapproval. “Thats not what you wanted last night. I recall you begging for me, princess” he teased placing a kiss on your lips. You didnt know what to say. “It was just a dream” you managed to get out. “are you sure about that? You felt pretty real to me kitten” he moaned as his hips were grinding into yours. What was he talking about? You were literally asleep...unless, “You didnt..” you whispered trying hard to get up.
Druig laughed at your sweet attempts, “Oh baby..but I did and it was amazing. But dont worry, youll be awake for this one” he said pushing your legs apart with his knee, giving him direct access to your pussy. “No!..how could you” you cried moving your face from side to side so that he couldnt kiss you. Next thing you saw were his eyes turn golden, your body stopped its fighting. “Dont act all decent. I know you want me baby..Daddy wants you so much. Now you better act right, I dont want to have to get aggressive..” he said kissing your neck “unless thats what you want” he whispered making you get goosebumps. As he released you, his eyes changed back to blue his hands roamed over your body and stopped at your breasts, he groped them making you whine when his fingers played with your nipples. “Let me ride you” you abruptly said, making his dick twitch in excitement. “Thats my girl” he praised letting you get up. You brought him to your lips kissing him passionately, his hands pulling you on top of him, before you pushed him down. As you were straddling him, you got the idea to run. You swung your leg over and started to run towards the door. As you went for the knob, Druig grabbed you by your hair and yanked you back, making you fall to the ground.
At that point you were scared, not knowing what he would do next. Druig bent down to you and grabbed your neck, keeping your head still and touching the ground. “You almost got me y/n, but I will always overpower you darling. Theres no need to fight me. I told you since the beginning, youre mine and only mine. Just take it and accept it” he said squeezing your neck. Your mouth fell open as you tried to breath, but to no avail. “I dont care if I have to break you. Ive been so patient for you, but now its my turn to do things my way. Do you understand me?” he said letting you go, making you cough as you sucked in as much air as possible. “ill give you 2 seconds to respond” he threatened. “Yyes..I Understand” you replied weakly. Druig flipped you over and held your hands behind your back. “Good girl” he said as he propped your ass up, “Last night I fucked you nice and good baby, I intend to do the same every single day from here on out. The only difference is that you'll be awake to enjoy every second of it. Your greedy little pussy is already soaking for me, just how I want it” he added.
When he slid inside you, it felt so familiar, so deliciously full. You couldn't help but moan, truly disappointed at the way your own body was betraying you. “Thats right baby...Daddy has you filled up to the brim” he voiced full of lust. He grabbed your hips and started ramming into you, making you grunt out as he stretched you. Your face was on the cold floor, moving up and down slightly as he pounded into you. “God youre so fucking tight, I knew your juicy little cunt would never disappoint... Tell me who you belong to y/n” he demanded smacking your ass. “You Druig..” you babbled, your drool starting to pool under your lips. His hand hit your soft cheek a harder, “Try again, you know what I want to hear” he said thrusting harder into you. “Aaah..DD-Dadddyyy I belong to you Daddy” you stuttered too deep in your own pleasure. “youre going stupid kitten. My poor dumb little kitty is so full of cock that she cant even speak right. Thats all youre good for love, to lay there all ready for me to fuck and use, like a toy. Isn't that right baby” he  demeaned you. You couldnt even speak, all that you were able to mutter out was a simple, “mmhm”. Your brain not wanting to let coherent words escape your mouth. All his words were too much, the way he talked to you made you cum. The pleasure was too much, and you squirted all over the floor. Druig pulled out of you, watching the way you collapsed on the floor, shaking. It was a sight he knew would never leave his mind. It made him want to do it again.
He bent down to your ear and whispered, “Who said you could cum?” making your eyes shoot open. He picked you up and tossed you back up into the bed. “For being a naughty girl that doesnt ask before she cums, youll need to be punished.” he stated, a sinister smile plastered all over his face. The last thing you saw was his eyes turn gold, then everything went black. You could still hear him and feel around though, “I cant see” you panicked when realizing that your eyes were still open. “Oh I know baby, I blinded you. Now lay back and relax. Im going to have some more fun with you but remeber my rule. Do.Not.Cum, unless I say so ”
Can you do an ikaris x male eternal reader x druig, where the reader flirts with the 2 of them and they get very competitive about the reader's attention, and they end up having a huge fight about who the reader likes, but the reader was out during that time so ajak had to stop them and when the reader comesback ajak tells him about the fight, and the reader just becomes a little shit and teases them, by keeping on flirting with the 2 of them, and like can you idk maybe give it a smutty ending if you do that or a very fluffy or angst ending, basically you decide what the end is.
Or just do a ikaris x male reader with the same plot without druig being in love with the reader.
This doesn't really follow your request, but I hope you still like it! It does get smutty at the end and I'd also like to give a warning for this because Druig does use his powers on the reader and Ikaris while they are having sex.
“Oh! My hero!” Ikaris always loved to steal your thunder, just like now as he swoops in to attack the deviant you were just about to take care of. “I had that!” You yelled when you got back to the ship.
“Had what?” Druig asked from where he leaned against one of the walls.
“It’s just their silly little bet,” Thena said as she strolled past the two of you and leaned against the same wall.
“One for you,” you held up one middle finger at Ikaris, “and one for you,” you held the other one up in Thena’s direction.
Druig came up to wrap an arm around your shoulder, “I’d never do that to you,” he flicked his gaze up to Ikaris.
“That’s why we keep you on the ship,” Ikaris responded, not keeping the venom from his voice.
There was a collective whistle from the other Eternals aboard the ship, “boys,” the single word made them all shrink under her commanding tone.
“Easy there, mister,” you placed a hand on Druig’s chest.
“You do it on purpose,” Kang said from his place beside Ajak.
“Do what?” They all looked at you, including Ikaris and Druig. You pulled out from under Druig’s arm, to his dismay. “We’re just messing around,” you held your hands up in surrender.
“When Ikaris tries to fire a shot from his eyes at Druig, we’ll see if they’re still messing around,” Kang said. You watched as Ajak nodded in agreement, which made an uncomfortable feeling settle in your gut.
“Calm down, Kang. We know he’s sensitive,” Thena said, the two of them snickering together.
Yeah, you were sensitive. Which is why you stormed out of Domo. You could hear their collective voices calling out for you to come back, but you let your feet carry you further away from them.
-
It wasn’t until centuries later that they came after you. Well, one of them.
You always wondered how you would feel when you saw them again, turns out it would be a mix of emotions that you could identify as anger, sadness, and longing.
“May I come in?” Ajak asked when you opened the door, a sad smile on her face as you both drank each other in.
You didn’t respond, only turned around and walked down your hallway and into your kitchen. The soft click of the door closing and Ajak’s soft steps behind you resounded through your quiet house and she joined you in the kitchen and sat down at your table.
“Coffee?” Your voice sounded too hoarse for your own liking. You don’t really know why you asked, you were already getting out two mugs, creamer, sugar, and two spoons before she could respond.
Ajak still had the same look on her face when you sat down after pouring the hot liquid into both of your mugs. “Thank you,” Ajak said softly. You tried to smile down at her, but the action felt foreign on your lips.
“Why’re you here?” You asked, looking down into your coffee. You hadn’t taken a sip of it yet, but the mug felt good in your hands. It was almost like an anchor holding you down.
“I do not like how things were left off. I should not have let Thena and Kang talk to you like that.”
You smiled down into your coffee, “they were right.” Ajak reached across the table to place a warm hand on one of yours, “how did you find me?” You still didn’t look up at her.
“I know where all of you are. I always will,” she answered, her voice full of warmth.
You chuckled, “of course,” you said softly, almost like you were saying it to yourself and not responding to the person sitting across from you. Your brows furrowed as her response fully registered with you, “what do you mean by that?” You asked, finally looking up at her.
Ajak, now copying what you just were doing, looked down into her coffee, “not long after you left, I told the rest of them to leave. I came to you today to ask you for a favor.”
“What is it?” You asked, you didn’t know why but your heart was racing.
Ajak didn’t respond for a long moment, but instead looked up from her coffee to look outside your kitchen window. “If I can’t see you all every day, I at least want to know there isn’t a divide between you all.”
“Ajak,” you laughed in disbelief, “I don’t care what Kang and Thena said.”
“Not them,” Ajak said, looking in your eyes, “Druig and Ikaris.”
“What happened?” Your heart pounded in your chest.
“When you left they got into an altercation,” almost as if she could tell you were about to freak out, she added, “I believe that it was a long time coming, but I think the two of us cannot deny the fact that you leaving was not a catalyst.”
“What do you want me to do?” You asked.
“I had a similar conversation with both Druig and Ikaris. They have both agreed to a meeting where Druig is living.”
“Do they know that I’m coming?”
“No. Will you do this for me?”
“I guess I have a bag to pack,” Ajak’s face lit up with a smile. You gave her a small one of your own, trying to pretend, at least for a second, that your mind wasn’t now racing.
Ajak left after giving you the location of where Druig was now staying, and where the meeting would take place. A part of you wanted to cling to her leg like a child and not let her go.
“I missed you,” she whispered in your doorway as the two of you hugged goodbye. It made tears well up in your eyes as you closed the door behind her, and you had to will them not to fall. You had a bag to pack.
-
Druig’s compound brought a smile to your face when you arrived. His home matched him well.
You were calmer than you expected when you first laid eyes on both of them. Even from a distance away, when you were walking up to them, you would practically see the tension between them.
They both looked good.
You had so many words to say, but didn’t know where to start, “hello,” you said after walking up to them. It felt like a stupid thing to start with, but you truly didn’t know what to say.
“Hello,” they both echoed.
The two of them shared a look of surprise, “Ajak sent me.”
Druig didn’t respond, only walked off into a large building behind the three of them. Ikaris followed after him with a huff. You were left outside with the rest of the compound’s residents as they all stared at you, their eyes all a golden yellow.
You joined the both of them inside of what you guessed was a church. Druig and Ikaris sat in silence on two opposite benches. You walked up and sat on the bottom step below the altar at the front. You glanced between the two of them, both of them not meeting your eyes. “I didn’t mean for the two of you to actually fight over me.”
Druig was the one to respond first, “We didn’t expect it to play out in the way that it did.”
“How did it play out?” You asked, looking between the two.
Ikaris was now the one to respond, “It took a while for Phastos to repair Domo.”
“Looks like Ajak should’ve invited him here as well,” you said, not hiding the sadness from your voice.
Druig sitting beside you and wrapping his arm around you brought you back to all those years ago to the day you left. You couldn’t help but lean into his touch.
Ikaris let out a scoff that rang out through the church, “figures,” he muttered under his breath.
“What can I do to make this better?” You asked, looking at Ikaris.
Ikaris took a moment to glare at Druig before he responded, “choose,” he crossed his arms over his broad chest.
“Choose?” You asked, Druig’s arm tightened around you momentarily. You looked between the both of them in confusion.
“You know what he means,” Druig said lowly into your ear.
You could feel anger bubble within you, and you were on your feet before you knew it, “so you both can destroy another place?” You seethed, gesturing in the air to the building you three stood in.
Druig stood near where Ikaris was and cast him a short glance, “Before you got here we gave each other our word to stop this if you choose one of us,” Druig now copying Ikaris, crossed his arms over his chest.
You hated this, but you couldn’t deny the familiar stir in your gut when you looked at the both of them. Ikaris was still as strikingly handsome now as he was when you last left him on Domo. Druig was almost as handsome in the same way, but at the same time strikingly different. He had a mysterious air around him that you still had yet to figure out, and you’ve known him for centuries.
“I love you both. I want you both.”
When you looked up at the both of them, Druig looked amused. Ikaris, not so much.
“I love you,” Druig voiced first.
“Ikaris?” You asked.
Ikaris didn’t respond, only turned to start the trek down the center aisle to leave.
“Ikaris,” Druig’s voice rang through the building like a chill in the air.
Ikaris stopped in his place, his body shaking with strain.
Something icy and uncomfortable went through you when you looked over to see Druig’s eyes shine their familiar golden hue.
Ikaris turned around slowly, and walked forward in a robotic motion to stand in front of the both of you.
“Dru-”
“Relax,” Druig was suddenly behind you, his warm breath making you jump as it touched your skin, “we’re just going to have a little fun,” he whispered in your ear.
You felt Druig’s arms wrap around you from behind and you couldn’t move. Druig placed two warm palms on your stomach, you could feel the heat of them through your clothing. He rubbed them around your stomach over your shirt before he went under your shirt to rub at your stomach with one hand in a soothing back-and-forth motion. The other snuck to your pants to unclasp them.
Ikaris was in front of you to assist the process in pulling your underwear down.
“Is this how you imagined it?” Druig whispered in your ear. He kissed all over the skin of your neck that he could reach, making you moan. “Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about you,” Druig said to Ikaris after biting into your neck.
Ikaris got onto his knees one leg at a time, still trying to struggle against the action. His mouth was slick and wet when he moved forward to take your soft cock into his warmth.
You were surrounded on both sides when Druig dug his hands into your bare hips to grind forward. It was overwhelming are you grew fully hard in a matter of seconds. You could feel the vibration of Druig’s groan on your back as he rolled his clothed cock into your bare skin. It was overwhelming, but you had no other choice but to feel the pleasure.
Druig placed a hand in your hair to grab a fistful to angle your head into a wet hot kiss. You could feel his control slipping from your body, and you used that moment to push your tongue into his mouth. When the kiss ended, that’s when you felt fully back to yourself.
Druig stepped back to dig in his pocket to pull out a small bottle of lube, but all you could now focus on was Ikaris. He moaned around your cock when you placed both of your hands in his hair to run your fingers through his soft locks.
You jumped when Druig returned back behind you and placed one wet finger between your cheeks to rub at your hole. It was hard to focus on one thing– the heat surrounding your cock, and the feeling of Druig’s finger pressing inside you.
In a flurry of motion and time, you were wet and open, ready for Druig’s cock as the blunt head of it pressed to your hole. “Enough,” Druig said to Ikaris, his voice making you shiver. You almost wanted to complain when Ikaris pulled away, but the only thing that came from your mouth was a whimper as Druig pushed inside you slowly.
Druig’s hands were tight on your hips when he bottomed out, his breathing coming out in wet pants at the back of your neck.
Ikaris rose from his knees slowly, a hungry look in his eye. Their color back to its original vibrant color meaning he was back in control. He pulled you into a dirty kiss, pushing his tongue into your mouth so you could taste yourself on his tongue.
In a flash, Ikaris was getting his pants open to get his cock out. He wrapped a large hand around both of your cocks to stroke them together. Too wrapped up in Ikaris, a moan of surprise fell from your mouth when Druig pulled out and thrust back in.
It was over quicker than you wanted, but the press of Druig to your prostate, and the feel of Ikaris and his large cock rubbing against yours brought you over. Ikaris was there, swallowing your moan in a heated kiss as you came. Druig followed you over the edge soon after to cum deep inside you.
Ikaris was the last to cum. The wet-dirty-slick noise of Ikaris pumping his cock, now wet with a combination of spit and cum was loud in your ears. His eyes were dark as they drank in your disheveled appearance, seemingly ignoring Druig from where he had both arms wrapped around you. Ikaris came with a loud groan, his cum felt white-hot when it hit your skin.
The three of you collapsed on the floor in a mess of sweaty limbs. It was quiet in the space you were in, the only sounds being the three of you trying to get your breathing under control.
“Going to kill you, Druig,” Ikaris murmured when he pulled your back to his chest and wrapped in a tight embrace.
Druig only snorted out a laugh in reply. He pressed a soft kiss to your forehead and moved down to press his head to your chest. There was, of course, more you needed to talk about, but exhaustion hit you like a truck, and you found yourself falling asleep in their warm embrace.
Gupta Empire 400 AD
"Hold on, Kingo!  I need a break, please!" You said in a gasp and chuckle.  Kingo stopped spinning you on the floor where you were dancing, surrounded by the citizens in the city as another song was erupting in the massive room.  Kingo only laughed as you were trying to catch your breath.
"We're only getting started!" Kingo teased you as you tolled your eyes and moved your hair from your eyes.  You clasped him on the shoulder, taking a few long breaths before I pointed to the quiet corner near the entrance to the hall.
"I'm catching my breath.  Go find Makkari to dance with you," You hummed to him, seeing him nod his head as you were walking away.
"She's too fast for me!" Kingo called out to you as you were weaving through the crowd of humans.  It was still early in the night, the reception of Sersi and Ikaris's wedding was the biggest party of the month as it felt like every human there in the city was in attendance.  The Eternals were the guests of honor, just lime before with any other party the humans threw for you all, but Sersi and Ikaris were the main guests of honor.  They both were already off on their own, enjoying their time alone together.  It left the rest of the Eternal to mingle and celebrate amongst the humans.
You were clad in a deep orange Sari to match your Armor, feeling it swish in the wind as you were gliding and maneuvering through the crowded bodies to finally reach the small opening and corner of the room.  There were only a few humans there, too engrossed in their conversation as you approached.  Once they saw you coming, they mostly scattered.  You finally had enough room to breathe and get some air, sighing in relief as you leaned against a pillar.  Your eyes scanned the room, seeing the happiness seeping out everywhere and your Eternal brothers and sisters mingling around.
Thena was shaping war stories with some humans, all of whom were watching in awe and fascination as Gilgamesh was off to the side and gazing at her with a massive grin on his face.  Makkari found her way onto the dance floor with Kingo, gaining from ear to ear as she was swaying at a much faster tempo than Kingo.  Ajak was walking out the doors with a somber-looking Sprite, talking to her in a hushed and nurturing tone with an arm around Sprite's shoulders.  Phastos was nowhere to be seen, having you wonder if he made his way back to the Domo right after the ceremony to keep working on one of his inventions.
He was never one for a party anywho.
Out of the corner of your eye, your gaze not leaving the dance floor, you saw a human man walking over in your direction with a looseness in his walk and a massive cup on his hand.  You were remaining calm, but something inside of you was making you feel on edge about how this human was approaching you.  Maybe it was your instincts and gut, or perhaps it was how he seemed so fearless in how he was approached an Eternal, but it felt like this was not going to be some easy conversation.
"What does one do to have the honor of being in the company of an Eternal?" The man asked, his voice sounding a bit slurred in a way as he was grinning at you.  You remained calm and collected, not looking at him and still watching the crowd of people in front of you dance with one another.  He seemed cocky thinking that he had enough confidence to talk to you and get away with it.
"Nothing at all," You replied, sounding cordial to him as he tried to lean into you a bit and you stayed still, "I'm merely enjoying the night.  As are you, I take it,"
"It would be a bit better with your company," he replied, having you roll my shoulders a bit to give him some kind of gentle sign or hint.
"I'm in no mood for that kind of company tonight,sir,” You gently said to him, thinking that it was going to work on him.  But he just chuckled, his stance was still loose as he tried to take a step over to you and some of the liquid in his cup sloshed out and onto the floor.  It made you grimace, realizing that the man was clearly drunk.
"Come on now," he said, leaning in a bit and getting closer enough for you to smell his breath and feel some heat off his skin, "I may be human, but I can show you a good time tonight,"
"The only time you will show me is time away from you," you replied cooly, trying to stay confident against him.  Yet in the back of your mind, you were a bit faired of where this was going to go.  Humans tried to talk and court some of the Eternals in the past, you were all seen as Gods to them.  Of course, the others saw it as amusing and almost endearing. But with you, it felt off.
You didn't want that.
"I suggest you re-think your decision in not enjoying a night with me," The man then warned, his voice was no longer sounding playful.  His tone got a bit deep, maybe trying to be a bit dominant to you.  That's when you knew that this could go left.  Humans were fragile in their limits when it came to consumption, this was nothing new to you.  But you never thought you would find yourself in the middle of a situation where you might have to defend yourself against a human.  You loved humans as a species, flaws and all.  But this was a darker side you never thought you would see.  It made you afraid, feared, and almost paralyzed.
Of course, you could stop him instantly with your cosmic energy and the strength you knew you had.  It would be easy enough.  But then again, mentally you were in a faraway place from strength and you felt so small and exposed at the same time.  You were never once for confrontation or conflict, and this felt like it was about to be one.  All because you're refusing to go to bed with him.  You inwardly started to panic, the fight or flight mode kicking in and you were choosing the latter.  All you wanted to do was flee, to be safe somewhere else, to not be there with him.
"And I suggest you back away from her before I make you."
A voice was heard behind the both of you, have you suddenly feel a bit paralyzed as the man looked behind you, his glossy eyes then got bigger and looked rather spooked.  He backed away instantly, having you look down and feel another body being pressed between yourself and the drunk man.  You knew who it was, the calm aura he would have about him that was also laced in intimidation.  His voice sounded low but smooth, in control but careful.
Druig.
"I was merely making conversation with her," the man tried to reason, almost trying to sober up himself, but his swaying in his stance was still showing off how drunk he was.  You were feeling a shiver in that situation, in the middle of the confrontation now all over you and how you denied the human.
"Clearly she seemed interested in you in how you're acting," Druig shot back at him with his tone laced in sarcasm as he stood in front of the human and blocked you from him.  Perhaps he could feel your spooked nature as you were looking down at the ground, almost shaking under your skin.
"It's not my fault she's—" the humans as about to argue, having you cringe inwardly while you heard the human gasp out.  It finally made you look, seeing Druig nose to nose with him now and the human's face was almost sobered up instantly.  Druig's look was stern with anger, something you rarely saw him use on a human.  Sure, it saw it plenty of times with Ikaris, but not with a human.  The human gulped, seeing that he wasn't going to win this fight with the mind controller.
"Walk away from her…..now……before you finish that sentence or even a syllable," Druig growled at him, your feet moving before you could ever hear what happened next.  You were moving, trying to get out of the room as fast as you could.  It pained you and hardened you for some reason, someone trying to sleep with you and you rejecting them because you felt nothing in return.  it was always a battle within you: why you felt no real need or urge to be with someone like that and on that level.  You always wondered why you were that way, why would never felt that urge or need to be with someone like that, on that level.
Once you were outside and the night swallowed around you, you kept walking a bit more along a dirt path that took you to the outskirts of the city and the open plains.  The crisp air was hitting your flushed face, giving you some relief and some calmness.  Your heart was finally slowing down from beating out of your chest, yet your brain was still rattled from that recent confrontation.  The peace in the air and surrounding area was such a contrast to the reception inside the building.
Walking over to a larger boulder that was perched against the city wall, you sat on top of the boulder and watched the moon that was hung high in the sky with the scattered stars.  The music was still heard within the walls, though now it was muffled and the distant sounds of the wilderness were surrounding you, having you lean back against the wall and close your eyes for a brief moment.
Why was this so hard?
When someone got too close to you, or when you felt that sense of intimacy was about to occur, you would run away,  It was always this way since you came to the planet, and it frustrated you since others took to that kind of intimacy and love so easily.  Humans slept together, it was natural for them and rightfully so.  Deep down within you, you wished you had that drive to be with someone on that level, to have that kind of euphoria of love that you were told occurred.  But your body and mind didn't want it, and the frustration was a build up in the recent years.
Yet you also saw love, good and pure love.  You saw love in how humans cared and protected each other, in how they held each other in sadder times or in times of joy and happiness.  You saw love in the smaller gestures and kind stares, holding hands and being close to another.  Love seemed so different, it seemed more organic and a delight.  You craved for it too, but maybe sex and love were too wound together that you feared you could’t have love without sex.
It was all too much to think about.
You heard a set of feet walking over to you, a slow cadence on the dirt with boots riding in the air as you were still trying to calm yourself down and forget all that happened moments before.  You felt the night went from great to bad within seconds.
"Are you alright?" He asked, his voice no longer sounding angry to intense like it did a few moments before.  Druig sounded kind now, gentle and soothing with his voice right next to you.  You took in a long breath, not knowing how to answer it at first since the last thing you wanted to do was ret-has what just occurred.
"I'm fine," You answered, then raising an eyebrow at him and gesturing with your head to the doors that lead back inside, "Why did you leave the party?"
"I wasn't going to let you be out here on your own, was I?" Druig asked you with a cock in his step, "Not after what that human did to you,"
"He didn't do anything," You argued, but he scoffed.
"He was about to, and being heavily drunk made it worse for him.  No, I wanted to make sure you were alright.  You looked…real uncomfortable back there with what happened," Druig explained, his voice then sounding tender when he mentioned being worried about you.  It made you cringe, almost shake a bit in the cool air.
"I've never felt that uncomfortable before," you mumbled out loud to him, keeping your voice down since you knew it was just you two speaking there outside.
"What he did wasn't right," Druig reasoned with you, having you open your eyes and look over to your left.  He was standing there, still in his black formal sari and his face looking worried.  You saw the blue tint of the moon on his face and attire, barely illuminating his pale face and brown hair.  Druig then shrugged, "Clearly he was too cozy for his good to try and intimidate you,"
You snorted, poking back ahead of you and you playing with some of the orange garment of your outfit, "He saw me as a weak wallflower,"
"Surely not," Druig disagreed, amusement in his tone as he walked over to lean against the boulder to give you space but be close enough to talk, "Or he doesn't know you as the Eternal who can transform into a ferocious animal at will?  That you can snap a Deviant's neck in your jaws when you're a bear?"
"Yet I froze when he simply spoke to me," you countered back, shifting a bit in your spot on the boulder as Druig sighed. You paused, your finger stopping their movements on your dress as your mind was wandering again.  You remembered feeling that discomfort when the man was close to you, trying to hit on you and coax you.  You've seen this before, and it would work with humans as they would flirt and sleep together.  However, you felt nothing from it when it happened to you.  Even he was drunk and throwing himself on you, maybe you should have felt something.  Anything.
There was nothing.
"Druig," You said Druig's name, seeing him cock his head at you as you peered out in front of you in the large plains that stretched out and away from the city, "Do you think I'm….odd?"
"I think the word 'Odd' is such a naive word to use to describer one's self," Druig reasoned with you.
"Unique then," You corrected yourself with a new word.
"Everyone is unique.  You are as unique as I, though your spirit is far more gentle than my own," Druig answered then, his voice running smoothly off his tongue.
"Broken?"
That one made him stop, the playfulness was no longer there on his face or in his voice.  In fact, he looked rather solemn when the word 'broken' came out of your lips.  But you were staring hard at the scenery, not daring to fully look at your fellow Eternal.  Druig was always one to be open to talk to, yet you two were never truly close.  He was your friend, it was nice and simple.  Yet you were having this unique and tender moment, outside of a party, in the middle of the night.
"I never saw you as broken," Druig undoubtedly answered you, having you see him watch you carefully out of the corner of your eye as he looked a bit concerned, "You have a good head on your shoulders and you do the right thing, always.  What makes you think you're broken?"
You took in a long breath, finally looking back at Druig and seeing him stare are you with patience on his face and in his eyes.  What you were about to say seemed like a cocked-up scenario in your head than anything logical.  Maybe it was all in your head, and you were going to sound crazy in front of the mind controller.
"I don't want to be with someone…like that," You explained calmly, pausing a bit before you finished the sentence.  Druig said nothing, almost tasing his eyebrow at you since you could see he wasn't understanding.
"Like that?" He repeated, trying to catch on.
"I don't want to have sex with anyone," You made it simple.  Druig looked a bit floored with what you said, now making you think that you went crazy.  Sex was part of human evolution, human reproduction, and the somewhat normal way of life for all humans in general.  It was part of the DNA, in a sense, to have sex with one another.  You weren't completely blind to it, nor were you engrossed in it either.  In fact, trying to picture yourself in some kind of moment that would lead to sex didn't seem right or natural to you.
It seemed….fractured.
"I feel nothing when it comes to thinking about sex," You said some more, not stopping yourself as it was now spilling out of you while you looked away from Druig and up to the sky at the moon, "I try to think of maybe wanting to, but then I don't.  I don't feel anything towards, no drive to have it.  That man wanted to have sex with me, but just the thought alone made me feel sick and empty and…broken."
it seemed foolish you were dumping this on him, the last person to be confusing this too.  Yet this was festering inside of you for some time, almost as long as you could remember.  This was seeming you never told the others about, it was perhaps one the biggest secrets you would ever keep to yourself.  The only reason why is that it felt like you were doubting your existence and well-being for not wanting to have something as natural and as good as sex.
After a long moment of silence and the rustling of the trees filling your ears, you suddenly realized what you just said out loud to Druig.  The both of you were never really thick as thieves or close as a friend, Druig considered Makkari his good friend.  Rightfully so, but what you just told him seemed to be reserved for a deep friendship.  You were red in your ears of embarrassment now, feeling flushed all over now as you.  Druig was silent next to you, almost digesting all you said, but in your mind, you must have screwed with his mind.
"I shouldn't have said that to you," you muttered, hopping up from the boulder where you were perched on, and abruptly started to walk away from him and hang your head in shame.  Maybe he thought you were crazy, or maybe he was going to tell Makkari all that you spilled out to him.  But before you could make it past Druig and down the path that would take you to the Domo, Druig finally moved.
"Wait," he said, making you stop and have your back to him and standstill in both fear and anticipation in what he was going to say to you.  You were waiting for the questioning, the judgment, or anything negative from him.  Druig was never one to hold his tongue when it came to what was on his mind, he wasn't afraid to say what he was thinking.  Some of the time it was amusing, and other times it was cocky.  Yet out there in the dark, you had no idea what Druig was going to say.
"We can forget I said anything," You reasoned, thinking that it would be better to just forget about the talk, "That was foolish for me to say that to you,"
"I didn't find it foolish," Druig said to you calmly from behind you, having you hear how leveled his tone was and how sure he seemed too, "If you worry I'll say anything to the others, I won't.  And for the record, how you feel doesn't make you broken."
"If you wish to make me feel better with kind words, it's a bit too late for that," you said almost in a scoff.  His hand reached over to touch your arm, coaxing you to turn around and face him.  You didn't realize how close he was to you, almost taken aback by how he was standing right in front of you.  He was close enough for you to see the blue irises magnify in the night and the small beauty mark on his skin near his cheek.
"You are not broken," He said to you again, this time he sounded so sure that it was almost like he was determined to tell you.  You breathed out softly, almost in a sad smile as you looked down for a moment to see his fingers still touching your arm and having you feel the heat of his fingertips along your skin, "You do what is comfortable for you, not what is comfortable for someone else.  No one should tell you otherwise,"
"Not even Arishem?" You asked, sounding a bit bitter.  You thought of Arishem with this inner battle, how he would possibly want you to ahem these feelings and to feel the rejection of being intimate.  Was it in his plan?  Was it a sick joke on his end?  Did he forget you in some way?
"Why should you care how Arishem feels about you?" He countered back, making you squint a bit from the bit in his tone at the mention of Arishem, "How you feel is how you feel.  No one should tell you or make you feel differently.  It doesn't matter about anyone else and how they feel about it,"
You were watching him tell you this, seeing how assertive he was in telling you how to feel about yourself.  You would hear how he zealously spoke about the humans, with brightness in his rhythm, or even with feet of anger when his emotions got the best of him.  When Druig would talk, you knew the rest would listen since he had important things to say.  At that moment, right there in front of him, you realized it was the same thing.
Your eyes trailed from Druig over to the direction of the Domo, having me stumble a bit in your stance.  It was another struggle that you were facing: The Eternals.  There was no doubt in your mind that they loved you and cared for you.  You loved them all the same too, they were your family since you all woke up together on this planet.  Although you were there on a mission to defend the humans from Deviants, you bonded with them all along the way.  Each of them was growing close to your heart, you were fond of them and would do anything for them.  That small flicker of doubt was there, that fear that perhaps they wouldn't understand how you felt.
"They wouldn't judge you either," Druig reminded you, though now you looked back over to him.  He was still staring at you, almost with some fondness inches gaze and his hand still on your arm.  You gave him a small glare.
"Don't read my mind," You softly pleaded at him, but he shook his head softly and gave you a small smirk to almost lighten the mood.
"I didn't have to," He said, "The look you gave was enough for me to guess.  But I am right though: they wouldn't think of you differently.  I know none of them would,"
He paused, briefly looking down where his hand was against your skin.  You were watching him, almost thinking if he would judge you.  Even though he just spoke to you for the last few minutes and was telling you not to care about others and their opinions.  Secretly, you were caring about Druig and how he thought.
"I know I don't, and I won't say a word to anyone else about this without your consent," He replied very softly, almost in a vulnerable way when you saw him finally look back at him.  While you two were locking eyes with each other, he pushed his fingers down your arm to finally lace your fingers so gently it almost felt like you were holding air between your fingers.  You could have sworn you felt some kind of spark there when your fingers touched and your palms were barely hovering over each other.  It was a good sense of comfort, the anxiety and near panic attack you had moments before with the human was replaced with something that seemed to be safe and protected.
"Thank you, Druig," You thanked him in almost a whisper.  Hearing from someone else, not from the voice in your head, that what you felt was valid and right made this whole situation a bit better.  Out of all the people in your life to confide in and feel better by, you had no idea it was going to be Druig.  It almost felt like a safe bubble went up and around the two of you.  Maybe there was a new shift in your friendship with Druig at that moment, in that second. You couldn't pinpoint what it was precisely, but you knew deep down that the mind controller was creeping closer to your heart and almost to your soul.
"You're quite welcome," he replied, his genuine smile was now etched on his face and your hands were still held together.  He then gestured with his head in the direction of the Domo, "Wanna head back to the ship and see what Phastos is up to?"
You smiled back and nodded, Druig leading the way with your joined hands between your bodies while you walked together.  Your dress clothes were swaying in the cool air of the night while you both walked in comfortable silence.  It felt so calm to walk side by side with him, only baring your soul to Druig moments before.
You didn't know it then, but a small seed within you of pure love started to take root and was about to grow over the next few centuries.
To Be Continued.....
Suspicious mind
Request: Jealous smut with ajak? Ajak gets jealous of reader talking to another eternal or avenger? Thank you! :)
Warnings: English is not my first language. Smut. NSFW.
Pairing: Ajak/F!Reader
Note: It took me forever to write this. Forgive any mistakes, I got really frustrated near the end and kept deleting everything. And I also got carried away. I hope you like it.
_ ✽ _
The rest of the eternals have been staying with Ajak for the past two days as Phastos fixes the domo. You have met them, but you have kept to yourself since you can’t really match Kingo and Sprite’s enthusiasm — so you’ve been observing. Sitting at the end of the sofa with a drink in your hand you admire them individually. Thena is quiet, reserved and distant for obvious reasons — and Gilgamesh is always by her side. Everyone seems to get along and joke around, even the sulking boy with strong opinions that sits with Makkari, Druig. You intend to form an alliance with Ben and Dane, but for now you just watch in silence.
It’s been half an hour of intense daring and challenges from Kingo, Druig and Sprite. They literally don’t do anything else other than bicker and it’s quite amusing to watch. Although they do seem like a very close family. It makes you wonder how you fit in since Ajak is very much like their mother figure. You are very conscious about that thought — and you know they’ll start asking questions soon — so you get up to find Ajak. You walk towars the porch knowing she went into that direction, and you find her deep in conversation with Ikaris. You don’t want to interrupt, but you feel very conscious of your presence no matter where you go.
You do go stand by her side with a soft smile and a polite ‘hello’ and a nod of your head. Casually Ajak wraps an arm around your waist and pulls you closer to rest her chin on your shoulder as Ikaris continues with whatever he is talking about. You don’t fit in this conversation. The energy going on here is completely different. Ajak treats him like he is her most precious son; the golden boy, and it is very awkward to witness. You don’t know what to do, but you take your empty glass as an excuse to leave.
You can’t get the look on their faces off your mind as you leave. It was traumatizing to see — her eyes were sparkling with pride, love and something else you can’t describe. And his eyes were of total devotion. As you enter the kitchen for another margarita you find Sersi with her boyfriend. They share a smile, and you feel so much better. Their smile is so soothing and welcome — it feels natural to be around them — but now you are being the third wheel. As you reach for the blender you do notice that you are out of tequila, and there’s only one glass left forgotten. You reach out for it and notice Sersi get closer.
“Please don’t tell me we are out of Tequila.”
You turn to look at her with raised brows to pay more attention to her and process what she said.
“Ah, yes. Last glass.” You wiggle it a little in your hand. “If you’d like it’s all yours.”
“No need to worry about that with me.” And you swear, she has a comfort aura. Something about her smile and eyes is really soothing. She is so warm to be around.
“Yeah, she can turn water into anything like Jesus.” Dane jokes and Sersi smacks him playfully.
You rise your brows once again, but this time intrigued. You are about to say something when someone calls out Dane’s name; you think it was Sprite. Dane excuses himself and leaves. As he does so Sersi gets closer to the blending machine contemplating whether to make more margaritas or not.
“Seriously, if you’d like you can take the last one.” You offer once again.
And Sersi turns to look at you, but her gaze falls elsewhere outside and it stays there. Curious you look her way and notice she is staring at Ajak and Ikaris. More like Ikaris, you know what happened to them because Ajak told you before when he visted once. Immediately you hand Sersi the drink as you tear your gaze away from them to check on the eternal beside you. She looks down at the drink you shoved into her space and contemplates for a few seconds.
“Would you mind if we share this drink?” She asks with a soft but fun smile. Like, she is that friend that would totally be very close to you just for the sake that you are friends. You’ve had friends like that before and they are the best. “It would be like a secret thing of ours that we became the best of friends. It would freak them out. They are totally terrified of you.” She explains playfully as she reaches out for two straws. And you know she likes to party.
You give out a smile that is more like you. And you know this is the first glimpse any eternal will have of who you are — and you nod. You both make your way back to the living room since you know Sersi wants to be close to Dane. She takes a seat and you take the place beside her. Sprite is teasing the poor guy so bad; he doesn’t stand a chance. Sersi takes a sip of the margarita and then puts it on your field of vision. You both share a secret smile before you take a sip too. And you notice Kingo noticed since he looked around like ‘did everyone see that?’, but he was the only one to notice.
The glass is not that big — so you’ll run out of it pretty soon — but you do keep yourself busy with whatever they have to say. You come to find that Gilgamesh is hilarious and such a gentle person at the same time. You’d love to get to know him more. And then, Sersi taps you on the shoulder, and you turn to look at her.
“It’s the last of it; let’s drink it together.” She says never losing that smile of hers.
You playfully roll your eyes and lean in to your straw as she follows to reach for hers. You both drink the last of it with blushing cheeks from trying to keep from laughing.
“Oh, Sersi gets to keep the step-mother first!” Kingo finally declares. You pull away before you spit out the margarita on Sersi’s face, shocked with that comment. And then, you feel a soft hand on your shoulder as laughter echoes through the room. Ajak is standing right behind you with Ikaris on her side, he is standing right behind Sersi. You offer her a smile, but she doesn’t smile. She just keeps staring at you and tilts her head to the side with a raise of her brows. You put your hand on top of hers on your shoulder and she finally smiles before looking away to the other eternals in her living room.
“Since when are you two the best of friends?” Kingo asks offended.
“Well, since before you, so I get best friend rights from now on.” Sersi replies, she is clearly teasing him.
“Kingo is afraid of you.” Sprite spills Kingo’s deepest secret. You raise your brows and look at Ajak —  she looks right back at you and she shakes her head with a soft smile.
“He should be.” You finally speak staring directly at him without blinking. Everyone burst out laughing at Kingo as he stays seated in shock and terror.
The rest of the evening passes by with everyone minding their own business and not attacking you with questions even if Kingo really wants to ask something — only Sersi gets best friend benefits. By night they have a fire outside and everyone sits there laughing and chatting. They truly missed each other. Then, Sersi comes over to hand you a marshmallow, she kneels in front of you and crosses your arms like a couple — and makes you eat it making sure Kingo gets full display. He just sits there shocked and annoyed. After that, Sersi grabs you by the arm and pulls you up to your feet along with Makkari and takes you to the side of the house to take selfies.
We are having so much fun teasing Kingo. Makkari signs, a toothy grin on her face.
“It’s been so much fun to play the evil step mother today.” You laugh with them.
“Let’s do something else. Maybe Makkari should also join in the best friends.” Sersi suggests.
I think we should hold hands to send a message to Kingo.
And so you do, you both return holding hands with Sersi trailing behind looking at the selfies on her phone.
“They are forming an alliance!” Kingo shouts making everyone look at the three of you.
Jealous? Makkari signs
“So sad you can’t join, Kingo.” Sprite is so cool for spicing things up.
“Prove you are the bestest of friends.” He replies with a serious tone.
“Well, we will have a secret handshake of course, since we are so close.” Sersi replies, as you just stare at Kingo to scare him a little.
“How close?” He asks in the same serious tone.
This close. Makkari pulls both of you close and blows kisses into the air. And you both do the same blowing kisses in an exaggerated way to make him uncomfortable —  like teenagers being extra at school with fake affection display.
A few seconds later Ajak exits the house, she was at the kitchen helping Gil with dinner. She has a frown on her face and grabs your arm before pulling firmly.
“Help me in the kitchen.” She demands, nobody seems to notice her tone nor demeanor.
You nod and excuse yourself. “I’ll see you later, besties.” You say goodbye to them in a fake tone to tease Kingo some more.
“Oh, baby girl! We’ll see you later for the sleepover.” Sersi whines in the same tone.
Makkari pouts. We’ll miss you, bestie. And she fakes giving you a friendly peck to shock the audience.
Kingo might pass out, instead you just leave him with his mouth agape staring at you. And once you get inside you realize that Ajak was the one to drag you from the others, and she is aiming for the stairs instead of the kitchen with a strong grip on your arm.
“Where are we going?” You ask with excitement still in your voice.
She doesn’t reply, and suddenly, you feel a heavy ambiance falling upon you like cold water. Your heart starts racing and Ajak has not even looked at you yet. You don’t understand, but then you remember Ajak was watching you from inside the kitchen, and to her it looked like you were making out with Sersi and Makkari when you were first annoying Kingo.
She takes you to the bedroom you both share; the lights are off with only the light from outside peeking through the window. She doesn’t give you a moment to say something because as soon as you both enter the room she turns around so fast and strong that confirms she is pissed.
“Ajak.” You say softly waiting for an explanation.
“Cierra la puerta. (close the door)” Her voice is firm and strong with such a passion. There is fire running through her entire being right now.
And you obey closing the door.
“Did I do something wrong?” You ask; knowing damn well you did without meaning to.
“No lo sé. Tu dimelo. (I don’t know. You tell me)” The look in her face is something you’ve never seen before. She has a deep frown, but her entire face has turned somber and her golden eyes look like a void. She has one hand on her hip and the other rests on the foot of the frame of the bed.
“Ajak, we were just joking.” You reply being serious to let her know your honesty. “We wanted to scare Kingo.” You feel terrible saying the last part.
These eternals are like her children, and you just participated in a childish game that hurts one of them. It still feels weird to think of it like that. But you totally feel like a child right now thinking that you should have known better.
“Since when making out with someone is used to scare other people?” She asks with more anger evident. “Unless you are trying to hurt me… then you got it.” Her breathing quickens a little bit.
“Ajak…” You say almost close to tears. You never wanted to hurt Ajak that was the last thought on your mind through all of this. “We never did anything like that, it was all pretend to shock Kingo.” You try to explain. “I am so sorry.”
Ajak closes her eyes, and slowly, she throws her had back trying to even her breath. “I just can’t deal with the thought of seeing you with someone else. I know they are my family and I love them… but I had never seen you behave like this. I guess I was more confused and scared than Kingo.”
You reach out for her.
“Whenever you think again about letting someone else touch you the way I do… think again.” She points a hand at you and presses it against your chest making you take a step back. “Nadie puede tenerte como yo te tengo. (Nobody can have you the way I do.)” She spits every word out rolling her ‘r´s’ so deliciously. She pushes you again, and you hit the back of the bed. You hadn’t even noticed the moment she circled you and cornered you to the bed. “You are the most precious thing I have.”
“Ajak… are you… jealous?” You ask not believing it yet.
She doesn’t say another word and presses against your chest to make you lay down and then she hovers on top of you. “You make me feel things that no one else has ever been able to make me feel; things only you can bring out in me.” Her husky voice is something you love the most about her. That voice that makes you feel the heat travel your body. “I am jealous of my own family because of you. Because you keep me on alert of your every move. Always wanting more of you.”
“Ajak.”
She hushes you and tilts your head to the side before kissing your neck. She fully straddles you and pins your hands to the sides of your head. She bites you slightly before ushering you out of your top. She breathes in your scent as she makes her way down and only pauses to look at you before hooking her fingers on your bottoms. She looks for signs to stop, and when she finds none she pulls them down. Your cheeks are burning with heat.
She is quick to disregard you of your clothes, and you feel aware of her every touch. There is urgency in the way she movies, the way she massages your skin and her void like eyes. And then you realize: it is lust. You think she’ll take you quick and fast, and you get ready to welcome her touch. But then… then she turns you around and holds your hands down against your back with one hand, with the other she rubs your backside.
Confused you turn to look at her, and then she asks.
“Who do you belong to?”
And you frown, she has never done anything like this. Your silence is loud, but louder is the sound of her hand slamming against your bum. The sound that leaves your mouth is inhuman, and the pleasure that rips through your body is enough to set you on fire.
“Answer.” She replies.
You are still trying to recover from what just happened and utter a moan.
“What was that?” Smack, the sound is loud and the stinging is so deliciously building something within your core.
“Ajak…” You shout out.
“Yes?” And you squirm around trying to free your hands, but she just leans her weight down to hold you in place before letting her hand fall on your behind once again. And you want to scream.
“Hush. They can hear you.” She whispers in your ear, her breath hot.
You blush violently, she continues to spank you as you squirm around with soft whimpers.
“Who do you belong to?” She sounds so calm in contrast with the storm she’s created inside of you.
“You! I belong to you!” You finally cry out, and she presses you further into the mattress.
“Good girl.”
“Ajak, that was-“
“Foreplay.” Her hands massage your pain in soothing circular motions.
And without warning she inserts two digits inside you. Her pace is quick; she has places to go. You know she wants to finish you hard and fast. And you are a whimpering mess, squirming around as she lets go of your hands to wrap her arm around your waist to hold you in place. The speed on her fingers make you feel on edge, hotter and desperate for release. You are soaking and the room is filled with wet sounds as she fingers you. You grasp onto the pillows trying to suffocate your moans.
Then you feel that tight knot on your inside explode into different directions with hot waves of electricity. You see stars behind your eyes. And a loud moan is silenced by the pillow you’ve been holding onto for dear life. She leads a hot trail of kisses from the side of you back and up to your shoulder. You take a moment to turn around and once you do you find her staring right back at you. You smile at her, and she brings her fingers to her lips and inside her mouth to clean them off. You whimper softly before she pulls you close.
She kisses you softly as you recover from and even your breath. After a few minutes of just lying there as she holds you — and kisses your lips, your nose and your forehead —  you cup her face to get her attention.
“You don’t have to be jealous.”
“I know.” She smirks. “But it was fun.” And with that being said she gets up leaving you there naked. She turns to give you one last smile and disappears through the door. You take a quick shower knowing everyone will know what happened. And when you are ready to leave you open the door to find Kingo, Sersi, Makkari and Druig waiting for you.
“Oh, fuck.” You throw your head back embarrassed and annoyed.
“Oh, fuck, that’s right.” Kingo says, and Sersi smacks him. “We are traumatized just so you know.”
“We wanted to make sure you are okay.” Sersi says.
“Yeah, we heard some stuff.” Druig chuckles, and Makkari hits him.
We were wondering if you’d like to join us for dinner. We wanted to introduce you to Thena. Makkari signs trying to distract you from your embarrassment.
You nod just to get them to leave, but you do follow them downstairs. And you know, that everybody knows. And you want to die when you take a sit at the table with a very noticeable wince. Kingo snorts, and you look at Ajak mortified. She is so fresh like nothing happened, minding her own business and serving the food. She gives you a soft peck before sitting next to you. That is enough to make everyone stop staring at you. And you are both mortified and strangely pleased, and luckily for you nobody mentions anything. But lesson learned: make Ajak jealous more often.
Tumblr media
OUT OF SIGHT.
druig x female!oc.
warnings: none but angst yet sweet. eternals SPOILERS.
co written and proof read by my friend <3 she doesn't have tumblr. so whack.
I'll tag her one day when she has Tumblr <3
PAST
It all started at the beginning of time.
when they were all in the domo.
The day they awoke.
They were all sent to earth for their mission.
in the same twenty four hours she met with a pair of gorgeous dazzling blue eyes.
Blue like the ocean, soft like cotton candy blue clouds.
She was looking out from the domo, looking at earth from the glass with a faint smile on her face. "It's beautiful," she muttered and the other eternal nodded his head.
"I'm Druig," he smiled. a smile that contiguous, made her smile. It was truly impossible not to smile at something so beautiful.
"Aaliyah."
In a way, Aaliyah had always known she could never have him.  Seeing as he then immediately went over to Makkari and they began to talk in sign language, a bond was created between them that day, a bond that deeply secretly gave pain to Aaliyah.
Centuries had passed since that day, but Aaliyah remembers it like it was yesterday.
sorrowful yet beautiful.
"what are you smiling about?" Druig asked, sitting on a chair a few feet away from her with a mischievous smile on his face.
"wouldn't you like to know," Aaliyah rolled her eyes playfully before taking her empty cup from the counter to refill another water in.
"Have you taken a liking to someone? hm. Is it Ikaris? perhaps, me?" he had a teasing tone on him.
This is the friendship between the two eternals. constant bickering. constant teasing.
she had to remind herself it's a friendship. that it was only friendly teasing.
"oh, you're so funny," she said sarcastically.
Just then, Makkari walked in.
"𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒌𝒂𝒓𝒊,"
Aaliyah took a sip of her water and smiled at the other eternal, Makkari gave Aaliyah the endearing smile ever, one that makes the room shine brighter. it was noted that that the room did shine brighter for Druig.
His eyes were bright again, full of love, there was no faint smile, but instead it's a grin now.
Aaliyah had always been all knowing. She knows so much of what's going on. The way Druig had always liked Makkari.
She would always see Druig's eyes glancing towards Makkari.
how when she's around Druig's dimple would show. Could she really blame Druig?
Makkari is beautiful, gorgeous even.
She's humble. She's the one.
Both of the eternals were engaged in a conversation so Aaliyah made her way out of the kitchen and into her room.
"It's surprising he doesn't know it.. yet."
"Thena! you scared me."
Thena was by her door, a smile on her lips as she walked into Aaliyah's room.
Aaliyah placed her cup on her desk.
"And who doesn't know what?"
"you know who I'm talking about,"
"no… clue." Aaliyah muttered, laying on her bed.
"hm.. keep denying. keep hiding. it's not like it's going to make things worse," It was a sarcastic remark from the goddess of war.
"It's better this way," Aaliyah blurted out before turning away from Thena and closing her eyes, hoping sleep would come faster.
PRESENT DAY
"I understand you're upset-" Ajak was cut off by Druig.
"Upset?" he yelled in anger, in pain, something he does not do often.
"we've trusted you for 7,000 years and look where you have gotten us. Are we really helping these people build a better world, eh?" he asks genuinely.
He turns around looking down at the massacre, swords and guns were involved, fire too. it was all too much for Druig. All he ever wanted was peace.
"We are just like the soldiers down there, pawns to their leader and blinded by loyalty. It ends now."
Just then the screams from below stopped.
Druig was controlling their mind.
Ikaris pulled Druig away, shoving him against the wall.
"Let them go," Ikaris instructed.
"Ikaris," Aaliyah said sternly.
"you're gonna have to make me," Druig replied.
"Stop!" Ajak yells.
"If you want me to stop, you're gonna have to kill me," he said and just before he left, he glanced at her and time stopped.
Not Makkari, but Aaliyah.
He could see how tense she was and her tears building up in her eyes, her hands shaking slightly. Her lips in a thin line.
He wanted so badly to pull her into his arms.
See, Aaliyah is the girl that knows everything but one thing she fails to know is that Druig knows since the beginning of time, he's not one to stay clueless. He is intelligent. since the time she smiles looking down to earth and he was oh so smitten but he also knows that he had fallen for another.
Sometimes things just don't go your way.
There's no happily ever after like the ones in the fairytales.
"till next time?" Her voice was soft and low but he understood. There are possibilities.
she smiled at him sadly and he smiled, faint but it was there.
you ever thought about writing a chapter about Ajak trying to push Ikaris and Thena together in the beginning, because of what their combined force can do? But she soon recognizes that her effort is useless and that it is no matter on which planet they are on in which lifetime, Thena and Gilgamesh will always be together, because they belong together.
Love your work, xoxo
"Well done," Ajak smiled as her two best Fighters walked back from the battle.
"You came in too early."
"Will you get off my back for one damned minute!"
And there it was. The two paragons of the Fighters were always at odds with one another. It was a wonder they were able to work together at all. And that was in the heat of battle, when their cooperation was crucial to survival.
Their bickering was even worse off the battlefield, and yet Ajak seemed to have them paired together at every opportunity.
Thena and Ikaris glared at each other as they separated, walking to opposite sides of the room as they settled in for a meeting after their battle. They seemed so much more equipped to be enemies than team leaders.
Ajak sighed. They were less than a month into their mission, and already they were at each other's throats. She had been hoping she might be able to encourage them to get along, but it seemed the harder she tried, the more they disliked each other.
"I think it went well," Sersi attempted to smile, hoping - desperately - to quell the discomfort in the room.
"Ikaris nearly let the winged one slip through his fingers."
"I had it under control!" he snapped at his other half across the control room from him. "You were the one who tossed another one into it!"
"Okay, okay, why don't we all just take it down a notch."
It was always Gilgamesh who was taking the most direct action to diffuse these types of situations. And it was always when voices were raised or fingers were pointed in Thena's direction.
Ikaris scoffed, throwing himself back down into his seat, "you always take her side."
Ajak had noticed. "Battles are not always going to go exactly how we might like, but what's important is protecting the human settlement and disposing of Deviant threats."
Thena stayed silent, turning her head away from Ajak as she spoke, which was as good as rolling her eyes, for the Warrior Eternal. When she opened her eyes, they met Gil's next to her. He smiled. She smiled.
"What's important is workin' as a team," Ikaris grumbled, although he had already lost the attention of most of them. He sighed. "Who's on watch?"
"Me."
Ikaris looked over at Sersi, who raised her hand up partially with a tentative smile. His usual deep set scowl lightened just a little, "I'll join you. Next shift is on when the sun sets."
The group dispersed, sounding less like Eternals chosen by Arishem and more like a group of teenagers being released to go do their chores.
"Ikaris," Ajak spoke up before he took his leave as well. She nodded her head at him, "talk to Thena."
He sighed roughly through his teeth. "She doesn't listen to me, Ajak. She's-"
"Talk to her," Ajak reiterated, not that she really thought it would do any good. She followed him out of the room, lingering at the end of the corridor where he floated over to the Warrior Eternal.
"Thena," he began with putting a hand on her shoulder, and already they were off to a bad start. She whirled around, hair flying, glaring at him just for touching her so casually.
She sighed at the look on his face, "what?"
"Look," he looked around him, trying to find the words for his teammate. "I know we're not always on the same page. But Ajak chose us to be leaders of this team."
"Just because we're strong does not make us leaders," Thena easily refuted, even if it meant denouncing herself to do it. "Gilgamesh is stronger than us both."
Ikaris opened his mouth to argue that point - eagerly - but clapped it shut. There would be no good to come from starting that fight with her (again). "Just...work with me--that's all I'm asking."
Thena's eyes travelled over him. He certainly was trying, she couldn't deny it. But she was so distrusting in her nature--of him, of the humans...even of Ajak, to a degree. "Have you ever thought that might be asking too much?"
"No," Ikaris frowned, his temper rising again now that he was finding himself arguing against a brick wall. "Because we're a team, Thena. Like it or not, we're here, together."
Her eyes followed his movement as he stepped in a fraction closer, his hand rising to grab her arm before she could turn away from him dismissively. She glared at him.
Ikaris held her eyes. He liked the challenge she gave him, in a way. His nature made him relish the battle for dominance they shared on a daily basis, no matter how much he complained about it. "Play nice."
Thena's eyes sparked, which Ikaris seemed to enjoy. And she knew he did--he liked the thought of getting to really have it out with her. They were both Fighters, the warrior and the soldier. It was in their nature for violence to be their language of choice. "No."
Ajak stood back with a sigh as Ikaris flew past her, blasted backward by Thena's shield tossing him away from her. She knew he was pushing it; it was only a matter of time before Thena decided she'd had enough of him.
Maybe the plan for them was a lost cause.
Thena didn't spare a second to check if Ikaris was okay. It wasn't her concern. She continued down the hall in her original direction, pausing when a hand brushed against hers.
It was Gilgamesh, the side of his hand meeting the side of hers like clouds passing in the sky. His pinky wiggled in her direction, "everything okay?"
"I can handle Ikaris," she said decisively, as she would to anyone on their team. She didn't move away, though.
Gil turned to face her first, offering his honesty as payment for her words. "I know, but that doesn't mean he gets to give you a hard time."
It was so slight, almost invisible to the human eye. But to an Eternal, Ajak was able to see the ever present tension in Thena lessen. It drained from her slowly, but eventually Thena looked at Gil. Her lips pulled up into a hint of a smile, "I may not leave much of him for you, at this rate."
Gilgamesh shrugged, giving her an impish smile that showed his more playful side. It seemed to encourage Thena's smile to grow. "So I'll clean up after you're done with him."
Ajak's brows raised as a completely new sound bounced around the Domo halls. She had never heard her Warrior Eternal laugh before. But by the look on the Strongest Eternal's face - and the lack of surprise - he had. In fact, he seemed quite enchanted by the sound.
Thena smiled more easily, completely loosened after her laughter. She turned and fell into a gentle pace with him in the narrow corridor, "he's Sersi's problem now."
"I don't know how she puts up with him," Gil mused, ruffling his hair as he walked with her.
Thena looked at him with what could almost be described as a playful expression, "you put up with me."
Gilgamesh took Thena's hand in his more fully--more deliberately. She showed no resistance. He held her eyes, giving the hand a squeeze between them, "and it's an honour and a privilege."
Thena's laughter rang out through the halls again.
Ajak smiled to herself; this form of the plan was always easiest to execute anyway. She would find a way to talk to Ikaris about things, regardless of how his relationship with Sersi progressed.
The relationship between Gilgamesh and Thena would grow itself.
Hi! Thenamesh doctor au has so much potential and you weite it absolutely beautiful!
How about a car crashes into the ER? It was this crazy episode in Chicago med that gave me the idea!The car crashes, driver unconscious and injured BUT we want drama so let’s say Thena is trapped under the car, injured and in a dangerous situation because the car is slowly coming down on her. A nurse/doc is going under the car to stop the bleeding on her leg, but she is slowly loosing consciousness and Gil and the fireman are trying to lift the car and get her out!
Let’s goooo! Give und the drama, angst and something sweet in the end!
"What the hell happened?!"
Ajak runs into the hallway to cut them off, walking backwards as they continue towards the sounds of chaos coming from the ER. "Everyone is already inside, the fire department and everyone spare is already here helping."
Kingo frowns at her explanation, which isn't an explanation at all and really just her telling them what was being done after the fact. "Okay, but what actually happened?"
"Well," Ajak gives them both a look that makes them frown. "A taxi crashed through the outer wall. The driver was asleep at the wheel, tox-screens haven't come back with if he was under the influence of anything yet, but..."
"But?" Gil pressed, liking Ajak's nervous demeanour less and less.
"But, well, there's...someone pinned under the car," Ajak tells them with a wince on her face that extends to her bunched up shoulders. She stops walking backwards to make way for them, planting her feet and holding her hands out. "One of our own."
"What?" Kingo asks with a worried knot between his brows, "who?!"
Gil watches Ajak's eyes move over to him, her worry and grief doubling when their eyes meet. He takes off in a run, not letting Ajak dig her heels in to stop him. "Thena!"
"Take it easy, buddy," one of the firemen holds his hand up before Gil can run in and insert himself into their rescue efforts. "I take it you're Gil."
"Wh...h-how..." Gil stutters, stuck on the sight of a sunshine blonde ponytail winding into his vision.
"We're doing out best to get the car stabilised," the other emergency responder promises. "The bumper's somewhere between coming off the car completely and in danger of dragging her up with it when we move them."
"What do you mean?" Gil asks numbly, barely hearing it as he tries to get a real look at her.
"Gil," Ajak calls out gently, trying to pull him back to her with a hand on his arm. "The car punctured her leg...there's some bleeding."
Gil's body jerks in her direction reflexively but he's held in place again.
"But it's also applying pressure when none of us can even reach in to do it ourselves. It's saving her just as much as it's hurting her--that's why this is so delicate."
Gil shakes his head, blinking as tears fill his eyes. His chest feels tight, his vision narrows to directly in front of him. "H-How...how long...?"
"Well-"
"How long has she been down there?!" Gil roars at the fireman, who is at least understanding of his hysteria.
The other man pulls Gil's hands off of him with a stern but un-angered expression. "We're doing everything we can. This process is tricky, considering the doc's position."
Gil turns to Ajak in search of more support for his argument. "Then get someone under there with her!--get me under there with her! I can clamp the bleeding and make some room for her!"
"Gil, we are not putting you under a car!" Ajak argues back at him, ready to stand her ground on the matter. "You don't think I want to help Thena?! You don't think I'd trade places with her if I could?! We have a job to do, Gilgamesh!"
Gil sighs, deflating visibly. She's right, and he knows she's right. He even knows that it's exactly what Thena would be telling him if she could. He nods, feeling Kingo rub his shoulder in an attempt to comfort him. He waves his hand, walking forward, slowly and listlessly. "Just--just let me..."
The working firemen frown as he approaches the wreck but Ajak nods at them.
Gil slips his hand under Thena's head, moving into her field of vision.
"G-Gil?"
She's fatigued, the adrenaline having worn off. She's cognizant at least. He leans closer, watching the pupils of her beautiful green eyes change minutely as he blocks out the blaring LEDs of the firefighters around them.
"Hey," he whispers, smiling at her as best he can. He eyes the bumper that's pressing into her right thigh and extending at an angle over her left hip. Her left arm is tucked into her side, probably trying to keep the hard metal from doing any more damage to her delicate little frame.
Gil lies right down beside her, looking at her with their heads resting on the ground, among the rubble, and the glass, and the blood (her blood). He takes her hand in his. "What have you gotten yourself into?"
She manages a smile, which he knows is her putting on a brave face for him. He can see how tired she is--she's paler than normal. "I'm always saying I wouldn't be able to do this job without you."
Gil smiles back, until she coughs a little. No one actually did tell him how long they had been working at this, but he doesn't like the pallor of her skin, or the glassiness in her eyes. "Give me your hand."
Thena pulls her right hand out from lying at her side. She slides it into his. Her fingers are even more frightfully cold than normal.
"Squeeze," he orders, and she can at least do that much, although it's not nearly as strong as he might like. He holds the hand in his and looks at her. "Thena, are you okay?"
"I'm okay," she whispers back to him as they continue to be worked around. "They're trying to keep the car from collapsing on me because the axle - or whatever - is damaged. Everyone who was in the waiting room has been moved to-"
"Not that, Honey," he corrects her, his thumb running over her hand in his. He holds her eyes, dreading every time they flutter closed just to blink. "I don't care about that right now. I care about you."
Thena looks at him in a way he's never quite seen before.
Gil pulls the hand up to his lips. They feel even colder when he kisses them. "Are. You. Okay?"
Thena looks at him. She looks, and looks, her mind going a mile a minute behind those eyes. A few tears slip out, over the bridge of her nose and down her temple to the ground. "It's cold."
"You're cold?" Gil's heart breaks as she nods, her lip wobbling a little. But why wouldn't she be cold? Why wouldn't she be cold and scared, lying under a car that could put an end to her active career, if not crush her completely?
Thena closes her eyes, letting the one or two tears slip away as Gil moves as close as he can, pressing his forehead to hers and pulling her hand to his chest. She inhales, and then sighs, "you're warm."
"I'm right here, baby," he whispers, as if the sweet words would be enough to blanket her against the saws and the jacks and the rainy night outside that's being let in through the crumbling remains of their walls at their feet.
"Gil...if-"
"Hey," he shakes his head, leaning forward to kiss between her furrowed eyebrows. "No 'if's. You're going to be fine. Because I am right here."
"Okay, you two, we're almost ready to move."
Ajak appears at their side, as does Kingo. Gil grips Thena's hand in his.
"This is gonna happen fast, okay? Thena told us that the pressure is what's keeping her bleeding minimal. Once we lift this thing up, we have to get the torn metal out of her leg, get the bleeding clamped, and get her out from under this thing in as little time as possible."
"We're ready," Kingo nods, him with the stretcher, Ajak with the clamps.
Gil shimmies himself into position, "lift it straight up, so her leg isn't torn too bad. If I'm here with her, I can take some of the weight off her so she can move her leg for herself."
"Okay, you four. Here we go!"
Thena lets out a scream that makes their hair stand on end. She - and Gil - get her leg disconnected from the shard stabbing her. Gil keeps himself as between Thena and the bumper as possible. Kingo slides her out from under it and Ajak gets the wound on her leg secured as Gil rolls out as well.
They all wince as the car comes down within seconds of them all getting out safely.
Ajak and Kingo are aghast but Gil leans over Thena again, pushing a few hairs out of her face. "Honey, you okay?"
Thena is shivering in the stretcher as they latch her in and prepare to transfer her to the gurney. Her cream coloured scrubs are covered in rubble and rain and blood. The cut on her leg is nasty enough that she'll be lucky to only need a week or two off of work.
"Thena," Gil repeats, unwilling to lose sight of her now. He squeezes her hand, "Sweetheart, look at me."
She manages to pry her eyes open and nod.
Gil keeps her hand in his, standing as they get her onto the gurney and start making their way to a room to treat their poor Doctor. Gil jogs beside them, not willing to leave her side. "You're okay, Thena. I'm right here."
