I have a kind of stupid idea but

What if there was an app for musicians that generated writing prompts but with melodies

That's a terrible way to explain it ik but hear me out

The same way a lot of writers refer to writing prompts when they need practice but don't have ideas or just really want to write bht have writer's block, musicians (specifically songwriters) can have lyricist's block too (in my experience as both a writer and a lyricist)

So if there was an app or a website where if you input basic information like key, time signature, metronome etc, it would generate random melodies and you can randomise and wouldn't that be fun?????

And convenient????

If anyone knows how to code this, please lmk =D

28/4/24 - sunday

I did:

Practise guitar • ate enough (actually) • paint my nails !!! • hygiene + washed my hair • started russian on duolingo (I'm probably gonna buy a notebook to have just for russian) • enough steps + burned calories • dance work out • build an outfit for tmrw • retouched my hair a little

I didn't:

Eat healthy (but I promised I'll get my calories in, so I just ate chocolate and peanut butter until i had enough calories)

Tomorrow's is a cleaning day in my school, so it's a lot shorter than a normal one. I'm happy about it I guess?

My mom is angry at me for my fashion choices. Like really mad.

Today's office.

I just rehearsed with a singer friend, who has invited me to accompany her on a concert Sunday. She and her husband are both opera singers and they work at a very nice church a block from my apartment. They gave me a tour today, and showed me around. The sanctuary is carpeted, but the acoustics are very nice - clear, not boomy. They have been trying to make their church a music hub, and have invited me to play and record at any time. I'm blessed.

Musicians need community support in order to thrive. Churches have always been kind to me.

When she was thirteen years old, Vidović became the youngest student to enter the Musical Academy in Zagreb, and won her first international competition. She has gone on to win many more competitions since, including the Francisco Tarrega Competition and the Fernando Sor Competition. Vidović has performed in Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Australia, and recorded six albums.
