Photos taken in this set are of; stunning skimmia in the garden, view at Lakeside including nice blossom, one of the amazing snake's-head fritillaries at Lakeside at lunch time adorned by water droplets, a Chiffchaff I was thrilled to see a couple of flitting around making me hopeful for spring alongside all the flowers around, Canada Geese, an unforgettable sunset to see out a grey day which I had the pleasure of observing with trees against the strip of orange sky on an evening walk at Lakeside and at home and a beautiful orange centred daffodil at Lakeside.

On a super day of seeing a variety of wonderful birds at Lakeside across both my evening and lunch time walks I also loved seeing for the first time for me in one day here fabulous Firecrest in my strong start to the year I've had for them and Goldcrest, my first Reed Bunting here for years a lovely male this evening, Redwing a winter bird I've had a sensational winter for especially here contrasting well the traditional springtime bird Chiffchaff, Great Tit, Robin, Blackbird and Song Thrush on a strong day of thrushes, Magpie, Great Crested Grebe and Moorhen with Wren and Green Woodpecker heard. Periwinkle, laurel, possibly my first blackthorn of the year and intricate turkey tail were good to see too. Jackdaw and House Sparrow were good to see at home today.

luna just had an old man 'get the fuck off my lawn' moment

#i was sitting at my desk at home. finally about to eat some soup after a long day at work. #window open. breeze in my hair. #luna was sitting next to me. birdwatching and such. #all was right with the world #and then my neighbors 2 outdoor cats came over and jumped on my windowsill #i have literally NEVER seen luna that mad before. in her 12 years of life. i thought she was gonna have the big one #anyway she went into full on attack mode and almost went through the fucking window screen #and in the chaos of me trying to shoo the other cats away and stop her she turned all that anger onto me #it was a bad time #she was hissing growling etc and scratched my leg to shit and now it's covered in bandaids. #which. ok i guess it was kind of my fault for getting in her way but i didnt want her to go out the window or get near those cats #anyway. hows yalls day goin #personal

saw a bald eagle today!!

#it flew right over my yard :O #it was gone before i could get my camera ready tho and then i couldn't find it #i spent over an hour driving around my area looking lol #but it was very cool!!! #i've only seen them a few times ever #it was really high up so i didn't get a really good look but it was def a bald eagle :) #i got a good look at one for the first time ever a couple weeks ago in my town i wonder if its the same one #very cool :) #sorry for birdwatching on main but i was so excited abt it #ALSO #my fanch overpriced snowdrop that i thought died is alive!!! and getting ready to bloom!!! #i found it when i got home after giving up looking for the eagle #this has been a shitpost #fancy not fanch lol*

One on hand I’m excited to see my siblings and have access to a piano again for break but there’s also. The horrors.

It’s fun writing a character who has some major insomnia. First of all, relatable. Second: it’s fucking hilarious that each scene is like a d20 roll to see how much sleep he got the night before and it’s almost always a 1 or on the rare chance, a 20. There’s no in between. He’s either tired as shit and grumpy, or the most energetic character in the scene bc he has such a reliance on caffeine and it only works if he got a 20 that morning.

#taks speaks #literally tho. hilarious #the last thing i wrote on him #he gaslighted somebody into thinking a pigeon was a rare dove bc he was trying not to get into trouble #he named the pigeon jaques and took like eight pictures of him just to pad the excuse of trespassing by being a birdwatcher #when he knows jackshit about birds #this was a nat 20 day #this is the only comedic ease of tension i get during the story without having his even more chaotic bf around #if they were together in this section: oh my god. #fun thing that happened earlier on in the timeline: he once picked up a stray cat off the side of the road #and he took it home. taming it from being feral and very mean. to forcing it on his bf who is very much allergic while he went away #and his bf picks up retired guard dogs so it's fair on both ends #in all there's this one semi-feral cat and two well-trained dogs #and a strong trans man who is physically able to carry the 90lbs doberman like a baby #which visually would've been hilarious bc he's like 5'3 #and the dog is the same height when on his hind legs #god i wish i could draw people these ones would make very nice little comics to fill in all the little extra things that don't fit in #i need little side character growth that doesn't have to do with the emotional damage i'm inflicting on all of them

29/03/2024-Mallard at Lakeside, pony at Rockford Common in the New Forest, view at Rockford Common, Great Crested Grebes and chick at Lakeside it was great to see the parents and young birds on the water today, view at Lakeside and Fallow Deers in the sun in the New Forest on the way home this evening.

It was also great to see Siskins and Sparrowhawk really well, Tufted Ducks, Lesser Black-backed Gull and Peacock butterfly at Lakeside with Chiffchaff, Chaffinch, Dunnock, Meadow Pipit, Stonechats, Woodlarks and Cormorant seen on the walk at Rockford Common. Fantastic time spent outside on Good Friday.
