Dragon Headcanons Part 1

Rosco

Rosco loves gardening just as much as beast making.

His specialty are equine, caprine, and bovine animals.

He loves dogs, especially herding breeds.

Rosco is a great singer but he’s a terrible musician.

He also has a soft spot for birds, especially herons and storks.

Nestor

Nestor is by far one of the calmest leaders of dragons.

He uses a variety of different protection spells in each home he builds.

This leader has a soft spot for children of any kind.

Nestor does geology as a hobby. He also has a modest jewelry collection.

Lindar

Lindar has experimented with time travel, but it’s heavily frowned upon by the other dragons. Thus, he tends to keep his present experiments private.

Lindar is a cool uncle type of dragon.

He loves to repair clocks that give him a challenge.

When it comes to making clocks, Lindar is a perfectionist. It will take him weeks to complete a commission. Maybe even months.

Nevin

Nevin’s favorite type of paintings are oil pastels and water color.

He gives out free art lessons to anyone who’s interested in them.

Even though he may seem like an artist snob, Nevin values the hard work people put into their pieces, regardless if it looks conventionally ‘good’.

He gets most of his inspiration during sunsets/sunrises.

Titan

Titan is more familiar with close combat. He has had experience with spears and bows but rather prefers to meet the enemy head on.

Titan is a brilliant strategist. He loves to play strategy games because of this.

He loves fruits, especially plums and grapes.

Gunnar

Gunnar lost his eye when he was in his late teens. Despite the injury, he was able to become one of the best Peace Keepers of the Dragon Kingdom.

He is more on the serious side. However, he isn’t too serious.

Like Nevin, he loves kids, despite his scary appearance.

Due to his experience on the battlefield, he’s one of the top choices for training new recruits.

Conan

Conan is a gentle soul, despite being a warrior.

He loves to read and write poetry.

Conan does know a little Spanish, but he’s not fluent in it.

He is one of the oldest Peace Keepers.

Marco

Marco is an upbeat dragon. He often likes to be alone, but doesn’t mind company once and awhile.

In his spare time, he likes to study the weather.

Marco can take off his wings. He never sleeps with them on since they tend to chaff his back.

He’s an excellent swimmer.

Marco loves birds, especially vultures.

I love Tumblr because on Instagram the people who say they're "left wing revolutionaries" are openly decrying anyone who says anything non-sympathetic about the rich people in the submarine, while here people actually stick to their damn "eat the rich" stances.

Hey guys! Question-

if i were to post fanfiction that has been abandoned by me, as long as i mark it as such, would that be okay for me to do? What is your opinion on that sort of thing? Not orphaning the work per say, but just labeling it as a WIP that would not be completed (though i may provide the outline i have for them).

I have a few abandoned works from old fandoms, and i LOVE the premises of them, but i don't think i will ever return to the fanfictions due to some personal feelings. i still love the works, but my passion to create them tanked. Though i may give permission to someone if they wish to continue one of the works after reading it if i think they'll do a good job and really want to do it...

So let me know what you guys think! The fanfiction i have is for the AOT fandom and the Minecraft fandom, most of which for the latter.

like. i get it. art is important. art that goes against authoritarian governments is important. but i've felt helpless regarding the russian political situation way before i was actually allowed to vote. and every time the news mention that yet another anti-govt singer/band has released a new anti-war album i feel the same helplessness as i did back when the only left-leaning presidential candidate we had whom i was supporting barely managed to reach 1% during the election. what is all this, why are we doing this

Gonna gundam post for a second:

The framing of Zeon as a nazi parallel will never not annoy me. It’s a classic example of a villainous faction with such a solid point and virtuous position that they had to make them do insane murder nonsense to make them the villains.

The framing of the beginning of the gundam UC timeline is all about how the Earth Federation, as the capitalist, militarist elites of their world, so casually disregard the spacenoids that any protest or rebellion is met with complete genocide of their entire space colony. But then Zeon arose and organised to fight back against the enormous injustice done to them by… enacting a genocide on an entire space colony, then knocking the colony out of orbit and crashing it into Australia, ultimately killing millions.

At least we got Zeta Gundam and the rest of UC (except for char’s counterattack) examining that issue.

#char’s counterattack is a complete pro wrestling level shitty heel turn for char #not to mention the casual use of child soldiers in the very first series #though I can see how that was included as a prerequisite to aim the show at younger audiences #that said (despite its edginess) gundam thunderbolt does specifically show that it’s a common thing for the federation to use child soldiers #and stating clearly it’s viewed as reprehensible even by their own side #io fleming is a titanic selfish murderous shitheel and even he considers it reprehensible

You know what’s interesting?

Dick didn’t set out to murder Zucco with the intent of being a killer. He viewed it as an unfortunate byproduct of his actions.

His real goal was to “purge the world of criminals” because “darkness needs light.”

Do you realize how unhinged that sounds? It means Robin wasn’t created from anger. It was created from the messed up psyche of a child who realized at 8 years old that the entire world needs something better than what it was given and so he went out and became it.

I cant properly explain how insane that is. It’s like putting the logic of the Joker inside the mind of child but turning it for good. Everything is falling into place now. That is why the Joker hates Dick-he is the one Robin the man couldn’t break. Literally COULDN’T because when he’s facing Dick, he’s facing the version of himself that would have existed if he had put himself to good. That was would break HIM.

Imagine spending the better part of your life doing your utmost worst to show Batman that people and the system are inherently evil only to have him fall head over cowl for a version of yourself to completely invalidate your reason for existing. How psychotic would you turn when you realize you have nothing to prove?

This also explains why Dick is so well adjusted and sociable in a way that Bruce and the others aren’t.

Bruce loses it when he loses his children, he thinks it’s a failure of his abilities and doubts his life’s work.

Jason loses it when he thinks he’s been replaced because his reason for being is having someone care for him.

Tim loses it when he comes to a dead-end. He feels helpless and lost when he doesn’t know the next move because his reason for being is being able to solve what’s wrong.

Damian loses it when he feels abandoned. He feels hurt and broken because he’s a child who wants to be loved.

The reason Dick was the perfect choice for Dark Crisis and to become the dawn of DCU is because his sole reason for being is to be the light.

That is why Bruce refused to destroy a planet when Superman asked him too. That is why Dick was the only person in the universe who could control the Darkness infecting him when even Deathstroke lost his mind to it. That is why the evil Justice League chose Dick of every one to kill-to make a point.

This is why he’s looked up to by major heroes such as Superman, Wonderwoman, the Titans, the children, the villains, and the civilians.

This is why Harvey Dent called Robin Dick “Batman’s secret weapon.”

Although anger was the baseline emotion, Dick doesn’t have anger issues because:

Robin wasn’t created for revenge. It was created with the intention of building a world so unrealistically good, that the level of the vision Richard Grayson was aiming for and set the standards for- is so terrifyingly inconceivable.

And that-is why he is a happy, feral, monster.
