hmmm, so I kinda touched on it a little bit in the actual story but Eren had sort of a strange and wild road to fame. So from childhood, he didn’t have it hard, per say; his family was well off so money wasn’t an issue but he was a little lonely. His big brother didn’t move in until he was almost an adult anyways and they were already ten years apart. He had his two best friends, and they would be the only ones to pry him away from his instruments and practice. They’d all go to the mall or skate park when they were kids. All of them together were trouble though and it didn’t change when they got older. Like when Mikasa was eleven, she got her black belt and they tried to start a neighborhood fight club, where they charged $5 for the older boys to challenge her and she’d whoop their asses! Their parents were not happy. But once he reached high school, they moved away for a bit and he was by himself. Zeke was already in college so they didn’t see each other much. At this time though, he was getting serious about music. Writing songs and raps during class, spending all his time in the library on his MacBook where he had FL studio downloaded so he could practice making beats. His head was always in the clouds when it came to music. He could write about anything and any emotion he felt, he poured it into his songs. Up until he dropped out, he maintained super good grades. But he had band and chorus for like two periods of the day. He was of course, the class favorite. Singing to and with all the ladies, playing every instrument set in front of him and always acing every performance. During lunch, him and all the basketball players would make beats and freestyle at the table. Needless to say, it was his whole life. Although she didn’t care for the idea, his mom supported his goals. His dad, however…hated it all. He did not want Eren chasing some unrealistic pipe dream and certainly not using his money to do it. Which he held over his head A LOT. Called him ungrateful, spoiled and stupid. “You know how many kids would kill for a life like yours and you wanna waste it making shitty music? What is wrong with you?” So when Eren was sixteen, they had a huge argument that led to him leaving. He took everything he could fit into his backpack and couch surfed for a while. Even ended up staying with his brother in his off campus apartment and it was there that he told him exactly what his plan was. “I’m sure dad didn’t mean it. Why don’t you just go back?” “Nah, I’m going to Miami. I know I can make it.” Mind you, he’s a kid so his brother isn’t hopeful but god knows Eren doesn’t listen to anyone. He just made him promise that he’d stay safe, give Carla a call from time to time so she wouldn’t worry and gave him like three hundred bucks to survive on. So he ended up taking a bus to Dade County, where he worked for a while; doing odd jobs and still chasing his dream. He’d sneak into the underground clubs where artists like Denzel Curry performed. He realized that’s where he should be.

honestly, Eren wasn’t hoping to be done mega star or super famous, he just wanted his chance to showcase his talent, stack his bread and work with some of the greats. However, it wasn’t until he turned eighteen and was working at Foot Locker, that he’d get his first big break. One night, while cleaning out the stock room, one of his coworkers recorded him singing some random R&B song and it went viral the next day. He was on Facebook, Twitter and everybody was talking about it. Saying that he had such a beautiful voice. But his true moment came when a renowned Grammy winner, singer-songwriter and new talent scout by the name of Vivian James discovered him that things took flight. Not only was Vivian one of Eren’s idols (and celebrity crushes) but she was the long time girlfriend of music exec Levi Ackerman. While in the midst of looking for new artists to sign, she told him flat out: “This boy is your next star, Levi. He’s the total package.” Vivian had a show at the fancy club he was cleaning for part time and asked did he know one of her songs and could he play. “With my eyes closed, honestly.” Because he loved her music and the rest was history. “Show me what you can do, sweetheart.” And that night, he played her backup better than her own pianist. She knew that he was going to go far so Vivian took him under her wing; showed him proper technique and more tips when it came to piano, guitar and vocal training. Ms. James was very hard on him but she had good reason. “If it’s anything I know about Mr. Ackerman, he won’t waste his time on anything mediocre so I gotta make sure you’re every bit of the hype I put behind you before I send you his way.” All the while, he continued working by day, performing her backup by night and studying under her tutelage when possible. During that time, she also helped put him through school for music engineering. Six months later, he got his first audition with AMG. Sang, rapped..the whole nine yards. Immediately, he could hear his girlfriend’s hard work all over him. “Damn, you’re good, woman.” And signed him the same day. He ended up breaking down, crying and thanking her because she was the first person to give him a chance. “Thank you for believing in me.” And from there, it all began!

do you have any advice for writing long fics/series??? I have so many I've been wanting to write but the last times I've tried I always lost motivation, so now I'm scared to try 😭

Ohhh, been there. Okay, so I've done it two different ways, and odds are high that you've only tried one, so maybe whichever you haven't done before, do the other?

Method 1: Write it all, then post one chapter at a time only once complete. That's how I wrote my early multi-chapter series. I was so worried I'd get bored or stuck and bail before I did what I wanted to do, I made sure all of my chapters were written before I posted anything. If you're addicted to the serotonin of feedback, that's fine, find a writing buddy who will read your WIP so you're still getting some of that spark along the way, but don't put up anything public until you're all done and ready to rock and roll.

Side note: This is also a pretty good way to build a bit of a following on AO3. If you promise people up front that everything IS done and written and it WILL finish and you give them a regular posting schedule—a chapter every Tuesday or whatever—they'll subscribe and happily follow along because there's no risk. Short of you getting hit by a bus or something, I guess.

Method 2: If, however, you've tried the above and that's where you're getting stuck, do the opposite. Maybe sketch out some rough notes to yourself on where you want to end up with the fic, just so you know you're heading in the right direction, but then let go of the need for control a little and post as you go along. That's what I had to do for my two biggest fics because they took literal years. Actual literal years, plural. The fear of leaving things dangling might be more motivating than you realize.

Some things to remember:

It's okay to start small. Like, it's tempting to dive right into a mega-sprawling epic of a fic with 100 chapters or whatever, but it's also okay to... not... do that. Try a fic with a few chapters instead. Build that muscle. Get used to writing beyond oneshots. Pre-built structures like 5+1 might help you build that muscle as well.

Sometimes you just gotta... do it. Like, that sucks, I know, it would be nice if there were an easy trick, believe me. Like, the fic I am procrastinating on is not a long one, but it's kicking my butt and it's so frustrating. But I'm getting it done a literal line at a time—for every ask I answer, I make myself hop over into my doc and write another line. Some nights I'm literally messaging Audrey like "I just want to get one sentence done before bed." And I stack one sentence after another until it's done.

It's okay to procrastinate a little. Emphasis on little. It sounds like you get stuck, procrastinate some, then don't stop procrastinating, but it's okay to give yourself a little break. My two biggest fics spawned so many other fics because I would hop from the chapter I would be working on to my distraction fic... until I needed to be distracted from that fic and then my chapter was the distraction!

It's also okay to combine the above methods. For Nature and Nurture, my first big fic, I used Method 2 allllll the way up to, like, the last three chapters or so. I was so scared of fumbling it all at the end that I switched to Method 1 for the last chunk, made myself write it ALL, and didn't post anything else until it was all written.

Retrospective: D&D 3e class feature advancement and design

Of the editions of D&D that I've played, I think Third Edition is my favorite. It's imbalanced, sure, but part of what differentiates D&D from videogames is that there's a DM on hand to say "let's change that". Much of the general success of 3rd was probably due to the Open Gaming License that you may recall a recent fuss about, and two specific impacts of the OGL were 1) explosion of fan content to add on and change stuff, 2) fanmade polish of the System Reference Document (SRD), such as this hyperlinked and crosslinked version where just about everything is accessible in one click. Much less searching for rules!

I also personally liked it for the unusual way it tried hard to put player characters and monsters in the same mechanical framework using the same scale, unlike far too many games, video or tabletop, where the PC has 138 HP but does 9999 damage. (This was to some extent present in earlier editions, but 2e's Monstrous Manual fails to give a creature's Strength score, only specifying its damage directly.) D&D in general was unusually fair and honest about letting you loot Lord Mega-Evil's Mega-Sword instead of doing "2% drop chance" shenanigans. 3e went a step further to making the bugbear playable out of the box, if you wanted to play a bugbear. Bugbears were now real creatures in a sense, not simply bags of HP you popped for XP.

If you're waiting for me to get to the subject announced in the title, just keep waiting, this is a twenty year old game and I'm a grognard with a pet topic. ;-)

4th edition decided to strip much of this stuff back out again, and I detested it. 4e was super weird. 5e tentatively tried to be the simplified best bits of 1e and 3e (IMO) which is nice for the newbies, but I feel its class system still leaves much to be desired. The whole notion of "classes" in a RPG is a bit of a necessary evil. It doesn't exist in-universe, it's an abstraction because doing full pointbuy is more tiresome for players and far easier to accidentally break the system by neglecting one stat or pushing another too high. At the same time, you don't want to lock characters into a progression at level 1, so designers tend to re-invent various class options and class choices that veer back towards pointbuy, and multiclassing...

Bluntly: The "favored class" rules and multiclassing xp penalties in 3rd were failures. The hypothesis was that it would discourage "5 levels of this, 1 of this, remaining levels of this" cherry-picking and encourage keeping 2-3 classes balanced, with an exception for the favored class. What it actually encouraged was "5 levels of this, 1 level of this prestige class, remaining levels of this prestige class" because prestige classes (PrCs) were exempt. Removing that exemption would have had worse second-order effects because prestige classes had different numbers of levels and conditional advancement permission! A deeper overhaul was needed, but didn't appear. My groups usually ended up ignoring multiclassing xp penalties. Worthless rule, no content, no value. Especially the bit where it's possible to get stuck at -100% XP if you made deliberately bad choices, that's nonsense.

What was also a failure, but less so, and produced the content I want to ramble about today, is how the class system incentivized multiclassing in very different ways for different classes. I'm going to gloss over questions of obscure splatbook availability and optimization level here; if you know enough to have an opinion on them you probably don't need to be reading this.

Fighter: Multiclass out or prestige class ASAP. This because Fighters have no class features that scale specifically with Fighter level - feats, BAB and HP can be gotten anywhere, and stack cleanly from different classes. Fighter 4 / Barb 1 / PrestigeClassA 5 / PrestigeClassB 10 is an example outcome of starting from "Fighter" and keeping the concept without being bound to the classname.

Sorcerer: Prestige out, but only to +1 caster level classes. Sorcerers have 1 scaling class feature, "spellcasting", which is advanced as a whole by several prestige classes. Something like Sorc10 / Loremaster 10 is cool, gets you 20th level casting, and more class features.

Druid: Stay pure. Druids have multiple scaling class features, and very few prestige classes advance other than spellcasting.

(I reiterate: this is what the class system incentivized. Not what you 'should' play.)

This difference was not a matter of party role, but of class feature wording.

Broadly speaking, there's two kinds of class features in 3rd Edition: those that provide a static ability at a fixed level (for example, Paladins become immune to fear at 3rd level) and those that have a progression scaling with each level (for example, Paladins can Smite Evil to add their level to the damage done).

Fighters got almost entirely static abilities, and those with diminishing returns. Spellcasting was almost entirely scaling.

Paladins were closer to the Druid end of the scale due to Smite Evil and Lay on Hands saying "paladin level" (not caster level, nor character level) when calculating what to scale with. A few prestige classes explicitly advanced these features, but there was no standard framework for advancing them the way the Thaumaturgist prestige class had "+1 level of existing spellcasting class" for any of druids, clerics, wizards or sorcerers.

Theoretically, the Thaumaturgist or Mystic Theurge prestige classes also worked for other spellcasting classes such as Paladin, but this was mostly worthless because paladins were tertiary casters who got slower per-level spellcasting progression. +1 level of spellcasting had lower value for paladins or bards than it did for clerics or wizards. This was aggravated by partial progression classes such as Eldritch Knight, which provided less spellcasting advancement - measured in terms of fewer levels. They got community shorthand like 9/10 or 7/10 casting progression.

An intuitive-seeming fix haunted me for years: PrCs that give partial advancement to full casters should give full advancement to partial casters. Perhaps even more than one-for-one when advancing tertiary casters. But it was hard to spell out in rules.

Instead, WotC printed special case ugly hack PrCs like the Sublime Chord, which was blatantly "The Bard Prestige Class For Bards" that gave faster-than-bard spellcasting progression up to 9th level bard spells. (In the core game, wizards get up to 9th level spells, but bards stop at 6th level.) It worked by specifying in detail a new separate spellcasting progression meant to be used at each level from 11 to 20, after using the regular bard progression from level 1 to 10.

Ironically, this special case could then fit back into the standard framework: take 10 Bard levels, take 1 Sublime Chord prestige level, now Sublime Chord has its own spellcasting progression so it can be advanced by other prestige classes such as Loremaster or Thaumaturgist. Sublime Chord was a prestige class that bards took mostly for the spellcasting, and then they didn't need to stay in that class for the spellcasting, because spellcasting was a standard class feature that could be advanced in other ways.

What a mess.

Still, I gotta give Wizards credit for being willing to fuck around and try new stuff to get out of this mess they'd made.

During 3rd edition, some of their later pile-ons to this mess were the Truenaming magic system that worked based on a skill check instead of levels (this was swiftly exploited because Make Single Number Go Up is easy for nerds with a wide variety of options), the Shadowcasting magic system that got to retroactively convert the class levels of a wizard who multiclassed into shadowcaster (I never saw this used in practice), and the Initiating not-a-magic system in the Tome of Battle:

Instead of caster levels you had initiator levels, and instead of casting a spell you initiate a martial maneuver, and the maneuver involved swinging your sword around so expertly that it shot fireballs or healed your friends or added an extra 8d8 damage or froze the enemy's lifeblood with the Five-Shadow Creeping Ice Enervation Strike. It also let you resist poison or block mind control by concentrating really hard on how you are a mall ninja One with the Blade.

It was actually pretty good, once you got past the flowery names, the weeaboo aesthetic shift, the increased complexity, the dissociated mechanics, and the fact that Wizards printed three initiator subsystem classes that were different enough to be annoying. Now that I'm done damning it with faint praise: you calculate multiclass initiator level by taking your main initiator class's class level and adding half the levels in other classes, whether or not they are initiator classes. A Swordsage 6/Fighter 6 character counts as Swordsage 9 for purposes of the Swordsage's primary class feature: initiator level and martial maneuvers.

This sort of worked to encourage a moderate amount of multiclassing on occasion by reducing the cost, but not really, because of nonlinear scaling. The low-level Swordsage abilities are on the order of "Fighter but with 1d6+1 fire damage". The high-level Swordsage abilities are like "Enemy has to make a Fortitude save or die. On a successful save, enemy still takes 20d6 extra damage on top of your regular damage" and "Quasi-timestop: you get 10 opportunities in a row to pick up a nearby enemy and throw him. Your choice whether you want to throw 10 guys off a cliff, or bounce 1 guy against the wall until he dies."

This class feature progression was cribbed from the core spellcasting system for Sorcerers and Druids, see above for the multiclass incentives on those.

I don't have a general solution. Here is my sketch of a fix to the spellcasting part, also usable with the cribbed-from-spellcasting class features like initiator progression:

Build a spellcasting progression separately from a class. Each progression goes up to 9th level spells at character level 20, or the system equivalent. The "Wizard" class then gets a class feature which says something like "+1 spellcasting progression at each level". The "Bard" class gets a class feature which says something like "+0.75 spellcasting progression at each level". The Paladin class get a class feature which says something like "+0.4 spellcasting progression at each level". Round up or down with minima to taste.

This replicates the effect of the 3e progression where the Wizard got up to 9th level spells, the Bard got 6th and the Paladin stopped at merely 4th.

But by separating the spellcasting progression, all these base classes get the same amount of benefit from a Prestige Class which provides +X spellcasting progression per level (X probably 0.5-1). In regular 3e, spellcasting progression classes were worth far more to the wizard than to the paladin, because the paladin got 1/20th of a step towards 4th level spells and the wizard got 1/20th of a step towards 9th level spells.

This eliminates the weird special case that is the Sublime Chord, also eliminates certain other kinds of dumb cheese around Ur-Priest, creates space for semi-focused casting prestige classes that provide 0.9 spellcasting that's an improvement for bards but a slowdown for wizards, and makes it easier for Fighter-adjacent and Rogue-adjacent classes and prestige classes like Assassin to dabble in a little bit of spellcasting at a controlled rate. In weird design space, it allows backloading on a class that goes from +0.5 to +1.5 over the course of several levels to "catch up".

A downside is that this "fractional casting" is more granular, more bookkeeping, and closer to pointbuy, but it's a small step and D&D 3.5 was already including the similar Fractional BAB/Saves in optional rules. Maybe someone can be inspired by this to make something easier.

Now I would like to say that D&D Third Edition has come and gone and will probably never be repeated, having been supplanted by two later editions twenty years on, especially 3.5e with all its baroque customization, but that would be a lie because not only did it spawn a great many clones, Pathfinder is out there being a big name 3.5e clone with just enough tweaks to not be a copyright infringement. (Also: just enough tweaks to not quite be backwards compatible.) So I feel I should try to give helpful advice for design of class-based RPG systems, rather than just this historical overview so far. Here's my big suggestion:

Figure out how a class offers value, and why I should keep taking it.

The D&D 3e Fighter fails this test. You should multiclass out. Full BAB, d10 HD, crappy skills, Fortitude save (more chassis than feature) are available elsewhere. Feats (the only real feature) have diminishing returns.

The Pathfinder Fighter still fails this test - it's been given tiny value buffs like the scaling effect of Weapon Training: for every 4 levels get +1 to damage with a weapon group. Meanwhile the wizards are still off getting caster levels that give +1d6 spell damage every single level, and it's easy to get 1 damage every 4 levels from other sources.

Also, the Pathfinder Fighter has been given a Bravery feature: +1 on saves against fear for every 4 levels. Meanwhile the Paladin is still getting outright fear immunity at level 3.

The converse of this suggestion is asking yourself in design: Which of a class's valuable features can I get elsewhere?

For the Fighter it's "all of them", for the Sorcerer it's "all of them, but fewer places" and for the Druid it's complicated but "one-third" is a first approximation.

Extra corollary: "...and if getting those features elsewhere, what am I giving up or getting on the side?"

I watched the most unpopular season in the Precure fandom: Happiness Charge Precure

My GOD, this fandom loves overhating on things. It's a solid 8/10 for me, on my MAL stack, where I rate seasons, it's below Yes! 5 and above DokiDoki.

Every character was pretty well written with good character arcs, especially Hime, except for Yuuko. She is the only character in the main cast that I felt was underwritten and pushed to the side by writers. I saw a lot of criticisms of Megumi but I thought she was a fine character. She had flaws, she messed up, and she learned from them. She wasn't a mega-perfect Mary Sue that some fans made her out to be and I quite enjoyed her. (I may be biased though since I love her LOVELY BEEEAAMM attack)

The fights were really good! I thought the villains were really fun in design and personality, especially Namakelder. The Precure designs themselves were fine, for me they were a bit too simple and I would've liked some more accessories or frills given to the girls but the unity of the designs was a nice touch. I loved the 3d animated attacks the girls had and I wish they were utilized more cause they were always beautiful.

Speaking of underutilized things, there were a decent amount of plot points that were introduced only to be brushed aside like the PreCard collection, Hime's kingdom getting restored, and so on. However, this didn't really hinder my enjoyment of the show as a whole.

I didn't like Blue, he was a very meh character for me, and he seemed to actively hinder the girls with how he'd tell them nothing until it was too late/he had no choice anymore. I am happy though, that him and Megumi didn't become NozoCoco 2.0, very happy about that.

But, overall, despite some flaws, I thought it was a very fun season. It wasn't something I had to actively push myself to get through, like Suite Precure. Some episodes in HapCha, mainly episodes 32 and 43 were very artfully directed which was a pleasant surprise for a franchise geared towards young kids like Precure.

He can't deny her anything, even if it ends up being more than he agreed to. A/N: I wrote this a long time ago and then put off posting it because I felt like it was too short and self-indulgent. I was having a discussion with one of my wonderful mutuals and they mentioned that they wanted more parent Viktor stuff, so I'm basically just posting this for them! @lovely-number-7 , I hope that you enjoy it lol. Picking up Chrysanthemum from her daycare class was one of Diego’s favorite things to do. It didn’t matter how hard he had been working that day or how exhausted he was, he loved getting to see her little shining face looking up at him from the other side of the half-door that blocked him from the rest of the class.

Diego’s daughter had been born right as his life finished settling out in the new universe that he had been dumped in. He still felt guilty for leaving his siblings standing in that park in the middle of unfamiliar territory, especially after everything that they had done, but he didn’t regret it. Not when he got to see his beautiful girlfriend every day when they both returned home from work and got to hold Chrys in his arms. Lila and Chrys meant more to him than anything ever had before and he would never regret his decision to make sure that they were safe and well cared for.

He pulled up to the outside of the daycare, closing the door behind him. He tried to keep his gruff exterior, the one that kept the single parents away from him, plastered onto his face but it was incredibly hard when when was thinking about his little girl.

The foyer of the daycare center was a plain white room with four staircases, half going up and half going down on the wall opposite the door into the building. The two bottom ones were for the older kids (5-7 and 7+) and the top two were for the younger (1-3 and 3-5). To the left was the office where the parents could check their kids in and out and to the right was the kitchen where the meals were made.

Diego turned to go to the office so that he could check Chrys out and then go and collect her from her room. The check out process was quick because the secretary immediately recognized him and so was able to hand him the sheet where he signed to prove that it was him.

He walked as quickly as he thought appropriate so that he was standing on the landing on top of the right staircase that led to the toddler room. He stuck his head through the open top half of the door and then scanned around for his daughter. He always showed up right after naptime, so she was either groggy from just waking up or bouncing around because she had renewed energy.

The teacher was stacking the purple foam pads in the corner so that the kids could have the floor to play again. She caught sight of him and then smiled softly, “Chrys? Your dad’s here to pick you up!”

Immediately upon hearing those words, the aforementioned toddler’s head appeared from behind the low bookshelves. He knew that she had been playing with the Mega Bloks that the school kept. They were her favorite thing since she could make whatever she wanted without repercussion and she loved the bright colors.

“Daddy!” the little girl squealed. She raced around the bookshelf towards the half door as fast as her little legs would carry her.

As soon as she was in arm’s reach, Diego reached past the wooden barrier and scooped her up. She let out a shriek of excitement as she was whirled through the air and then down into her father’s arms. He securely tucked on of his arms underneath her thighs so that she wouldn’t fall if she were to lean too far back. “Hey flor pequeña,” he chuckled as he kissed her chubby cheeks.

Chrys let out a series of long winded giggles as she used her little hands to push his face away from her. “Daddy! Your beard is scratchy!”

He chuckled as he pulled away from her so that she was no longer under the barrage of kisses. He took the backpack that Chrys was sent to school with every day from the day care worker and slung it around his other shoulder. “Thank you,” he said politely. He turned around and began to carefully walk down the stairs while he asked his daughter, “How was class today?”

“Good! I got to play dollhouse with Luna,” she chirped, clapping her hands together to demonstrate how excited she was.

Diego got her out to the car and then fastened her seatbelt securely over her body so that she was tightly strapped into her carseat. He gave her another kiss on the top of her head to make sure that she knew she was loved before he got into the driver’s seat. He glanced back at her to continue the conversation while they started backing out of the parking lot. “I’m glad you got to play in the dollhouse, bebita.” He genuinely was happy for his daughter, he knew how desperately she had wanted to play with the huge dollhouse that the daycare center had set up.

“I got to play with Luna, Daddy! She’s my favorite” the four-year-old explained happily. Diego was grateful every day that his daughter didn’t have to suffer with the same speech impediment that he still struggled with to that day. He would have loved her just as fiercely if she had, but he wanted her to have an easy childhood, free of stress and worry.

“Yeah? Is Luna your best friend?” he asked, glancing back at her with the rearview mirror once more before he turned his attention back to the heavy post-school traffic.

“Mhm! Bestest bestest friend,” the little girl giggled. She reached over and grabbed the bag that her mother had helped her pack before daycare that morning. She removed the stuffy that she had brought with her today and grasped her tight. It was something that she always did when she wanted a hug but wasn’t in the right situation to get one. Diego and Lila had thought it up when they realized just how many long trips were going to be required from them for her job.

Back before their little girl had been born, Diego had considered going back to the Police Academy, but after what he had gone through when he was living in Dallas in the sixties he knew that he couldn’t. So instead, he went back to college and worked on becoming a swim coach and teacher. Lila already had a degree from when she was living with her mother, which had transferred into the new universe, so was putting it to good use as a specialist detective working for the government. That was the real reason that they had to travel around so often, because her job brought them all over the country so that she could examine crime scenes and pieces of evidence up close. They kept their roots down in The City, though.

He felt a small smile slip over his face as he thought about his daughter getting to have the childhood that Lila and Diego had desperately wanted for her. Neither of them got to have a normal childhood, with the exception of Lila before she was four, so they wanted Chrysanthemum to have it. She was already connecting with more children than either of them could have ever been allowed to and her interpersonal skills were flourishing. It had been a huge achievement for them both to get their daughter this far in life without giving her any massive trauma and seeing her develop well.

She was kind, compassionate, and the sweetest little girl that either of them had ever had the joy of meeting. Both of them were overflowing with pride for their daughter and felt so lucky that they got to call her theirs.

The entire time that they were driving through the crowded streets back to their apartment, Diego thought felt his heart swelling with pride and joy. He could hear Chrys singing to herself in the backseat whenever a song came on the radio that she enjoyed. It reminded him of Allison when they were younger, before that childhood innocence had been stamped out of her. It was normal, according to their pediatrician, for children to have some amount of echolalia because that was how they began to pick up on language. Seeing the trait that had been stamped out of his sister in his daughter made Diego miss Allison more than he had in the nearly five years since he had seen her.

That was the one thing that he wished he could change about his life. He and Lila had disappeared into the city so that they could start their family and create a steady life for Chrys before she was born. He had meant to try and reach out to his family so that his daughter could know her aunt and uncles, but then he just never had. He was happy with his family, even if he wished that it could have been bigger for the sake of his daughter if nothing else.

They pulled into the parking garage of the apartment where Diego and Lila lived. He found his reserved spot and then began to get Chrys out of her carseat. She was winding down from the excitement of daycare and was beginning to look a little sleepy like she did everyday when she came home from school. She had just been weaned off of having multiple naps a day but still went to bed fairly early in the evening.

“What do you want for dinner, bebita?” he asked as he shouldered the backpack a little easier and began to walk her towards the house.

“Can Mommy make chops?” she asked as she scrubbed at her eye with one of her little fists.

“I can ask her. I think she just finished one of her cases so she might be really tired when she comes home. Daddy can make you something else, though,” he offered.

She considered it for a moment before she gave him a half-shrug of agreement. “Can I have cheese and crackers for my snack?”

“Did you not get a snack from daycare?” Diego asked, brows furrowing together with worry. That had only happened once before, when the kitchen had an issue so they weren’t able to get any food up to the kids, but it had still upset him. Reginald withheld food from the kids several times when they were younger and he determined that they hadn’t done a good enough job in their training to earn the right of a snack or even a meal if they had been bad enough. The idea of his daughter going at all hungry made him furious.

“I did, but I’m still hungry,” she whined, leaning further against him. Her hand was still clenched tightly around the purple unicorn that she had pulled out of her backpack in the car.

Diego chuckled and kissed the top of her head. It was only when they had gotten into the elevator of the parking garage that would lead them up to the apartment building that he realized what was wrong about what he had just seen. “Where did you get this, bebita?” he asked as he reached down and touched the stuffy in her hand.

“Luna! We traded, which is why I brought one of the stuffies that’s not my favorite,” she explained, flushing slightly.

Diego resisted the urge to laugh at that. He knew that his daughter was deeply ashamed that she couldn’t love all of her toys exactly the same amount since she was worried that some of them would get sad when they realized that they weren’t her favorite. He thought that it was adorable and he was so proud of her for already having this much compassion and kindness when she was only four years old.

“I wish that you had told us that you were going to do that, sweetheart,” he reprimanded gently as he tucked some of her brown-black hair behind her ear. “Mommy and I need to know when you do things like that so that we don’t think anything’s lost.”

She listened to him and then nodded. “Sorry, Daddy. I’ll tell you next time, okay?”

“Thank you,” he kissed the edge of her forehead. They walked through the halls of the apartment building and then he set her down. Chrys immediately ran off so that she could unpack her bag. Diego set his own bag down on the dining room table and then removed his shoes so that they were resting beside the door. He got out a plastic plate from the cupboard and then set out some crackers and cheese slices for Chrys when she was finished unpacking her bag.

He turned on the television to the PBS kids channel that The City got as an initiative to have more widely available entertainment for lower income families. For the four years before Diego had graduated that’s what they had been since they were only getting income from Lila’s job in the government, and she wasn’t able to take as many jobs when Chrys was younger and needed to be minded more often.

He was sitting on the couch while grading some of his student’s papers, he was currently working as a health teacher for the sixth grade class of the local middle school, when Chrys suddenly turned to him. “Daddy, do you think that me and Luna could have a playdate?”

“Sure, but I’d have to talk to Luna’s parent or guardian about it first,” he nodded.

Chrysanthemum grinned. “She’s gonna talk about it with her dad tonight! Can I have a piece of paper with your phone number so that you guys can talk? It’s how Abby and Derek had their playdate since their parents are always super duper busy.”

“Okay, I’ll have Mommy send you with one tomorrow when she packs your morning backpack,” he smiled and ruffled her hair.

The child turned back to her snack and show, happy as a clam that she might get to spend time with her best friend outside of the daycare environment.

The next morning, Diego woke up at the normal time that his alarm clock went off. He went about his routine just like he always did without thinking that something might be off or strange about the day. He went on his mile long run (having toned it down from five miles when he had a screaming newborn in the house to exhaust him for about a year straight) and then took a shower. He was just about ready to make himself his normal breakfast when Lila burst out of their closet looking rumpled and upset.

“Is everything okay, mi corazón?” he asked, brows knitting together with worry.

She looked stressed for a moment before she answered, “I got called on another job. I know that I need to take Chrys to school because you have swim club today and need to grade your papers since you can’t do it in the afternoon but I really have to take this. We could get a loan for a house after this, Diego.”

He reached out and took her hands, bringing her out of the closet doorway so that she was against him. He brushed her hair, still styled like it had been when they first fell in love, away from her face. “I can take her to school today. The kids can wait to have their papers graded for another day. You know that they want to put off finding out their grades for as long as possible,” he chuckled.

The worry lines that had been creased around her face softened and she smiled back at him. “I just don’t want to be a shit mum.”

“You are anything but a shit mother, Lila,” he murmured as he pressed a kiss to her forehead. Worrying about whether or not they were going to be good parents was mostly what had destroyed their sleep schedule after Chrys was born since she was a fairly quiet and very sleepy newborn.

He gently kissed her on the lips and then said, “Pack up and get going so that you make your flight on time. When you’re settled down wherever they’re sending you this time, call us.”

“You’re the best husband that I could have asked for,” she grinned. She fisted his shirt and then pulled him down the few inches that he towered above her so that she could press a longer kiss to his lips.

The two then split apart and went their separate ways. Diego went to wake up their daughter and get her dressed for the day while Lila focused on packing her bag for the trip that she was going to have to make for work. Soon she was headed out the door, giving a kiss to both her husband and her daughter.

The rest of the morning was generally pleasant. Chrys always woke up kind of groggy but in a relatively good mood, having inherited Diego’s morning person attribute. She was overly excited once she actually woke up because she knew that today she was going to be at least one step closer to getting the playdate that she wanted with her best friend. She could barley sit still the entire time that Diego was trying to do her hair and help her get dressed.

Her bag was almost forgotten in her hurry to get out the door and to the daycare center. Diego still managed to remember it and included his number tucked into the frontmost pocket where nothing else was so that she wouldn’t forget it.

Lila was normally the one that dropped Chrys off at daycare since she worked later into the afternoon so wanted to spend more time with their daughter when and where she could. Diego had done it a couple of times before, in situations like this when Lila had been on trips. It still felt like his heart was breaking into a million pieces when his little girl wrapped her arms as tightly around his legs as she could for only a moment and then rushed off to climb the stairs all on her own to her daycare room.

It didn’t happen that day though, because the person that she was most excited to see that day was still standing in the foyer getting checked in by her parent. “Luna!” Chrysanthemum called as soon as the door opened far enough for her to see the other four-year-old.

The aforementioned little girl whirled around and met her friend with a big hug. “I missed you!”

“I missed you too! Did you ask your dad?” Chrys asked.

Diego was so focused on his daughter interacting with her best friend that he didn’t even notice the adult that was checking her in until he spoke up. “She did. If your parents said that it was okay and I can talk with them then we can get you guys on the road to having a playdate.” His voice was eerily familiar, but Diego couldn’t quite put his finger on it until he looked up and saw who it was.

He felt like all of the air had been stolen from his lungs. His brother looked very different than he had the last time the two of them had seen each other, but it had been about half a decade so he wasn’t surprised. “Viktor?” Diego breathed.

The man turned towards him, giving Diego a much better view of him. Viktor’s face shape had changed so that his cheekbones and jaw were a lot sharper. His muscle mass had shifted so that it was broader through the shoulders and less heavy on the hips. His chest was entirely flat instead of the small bump that had come with his binder back when they were Hotel Oblivion. The hair on his face had obviously been shaved off that morning, but Diego could still see the traces of stubble along his neck. The veins in his hands and arms were also a lot more prominent.

“Diego,” Viktor blinked. “I, uh, didn’t realize that you were still in The City.”

“There wasn’t really anywhere else for us to go what with,” he gestured down to where Chrys was pulling the note from the front of her backpack pocket to show Luna. He then turned his attention back up to Viktor as he spotted the baby sling over his chest and stomach. “You’ve got two kids?”

“Kind of a long story,” he nodded. “This is Nikolai, and then you’ve met my eldest.”

It was surreal to see that. Logically, he knew that something like this could happen. Before all three of the apocalypses that they had to fend off, Viktor had a life and a career that he obviously adored. It made sense that he would have jumped back into that when given the chance and even settled down to have a family.

“Listen, I have to go to work but do you want to catch up sometime? Maybe you can come over the first time that Luna and Chrys have a playdate,” Diego suggested.

“Yeah,” Viktor nodded. “We can do that.”

He then finished signing in his daughter and walked both of the little girls up to the room where they would stay for the rest of the day. Diego had signed Chrys in and then gone back to his car by the time that Viktor came back down.

The two brothers talked and not three days later, when the weekend had finally come, they were both sitting in Diego’s living room. Chrysanthemum and Luna were down the hall in her bedroom, playing with the myriad of toys that she had been vibrating with excitement at the idea of getting to show off. Viktor had Nikolai out of the carrier that he had brought him up in and was currently patting his back as he tried to soothe his cries.

Diego held his hands out to offer some help. Viktor seemed grateful for this, passing the three-month-old baby over to his brother. “Was Luna this fussy?” he asked as he shifted the baby around and began to bounce him. He had gotten very good at doing that while half asleep when his own daughter was this young.

“I wouldn’t know,” Viktor half shrugged. “I became Luna’s dad when she was eighteen months old.”

Diego knew that it was prying, but he couldn’t help himself. He hadn’t quite realized how starved he was for familial affection like he had gotten when they were all trying to stop the end of the world. He was desperate to become a part of Viktor’s life again and to know what had happened in his absence. “Oh? Did you adopt?”

“Sort of,” he sighed. “You know how I have the absolute worst luck when it come to romantic partners?”

Diego nodded and waited for him to continue. “Well after the whole reset of the universe I found out that all of my old stuff was there, minus what I blew up with my powers. It was like everything had stayed from before Harold showed up. So I just kind of picked up where I left off but I was standing up for myself and able to actually be a person instead of the husk that the medication made me be. I met someone who called themself Light. We got along great because we were both trans, and they had already had Luna. We ended up moving in together and becoming co-parents and we were kind of trying to take romance slow but then they got pregnant again with Nikolai. I was going to stick around and continue to help with the whole parenting thing but, um, they didn’t make it through the delivery. So now I’m a dad and I don’t have my partner.”

There were so many missing details that Diego was desperate to know, but Nikolai was only a couple of months old so the loss of this partner still had to be a fresh wound on Viktor’s heart. He chose to drop it instead of pushing forward. “You’re a good dad. Chrys is enamored with Luna, I think that they’re going to stay best friends forever or grow to resent each other.”

Viktor laughed at that, running a hand through the short locks on the front of his head. “I worry. I didn’t have anyone good to base my parenting off of from my life. I mean, Sissy and Light were both amazing parents but I hadn’t been around them for all that long. And I was learning alongside Light because they had aged out of the foster system so they didn’t have anyone to base their parenting off of either.”

“Lila and I worry too. It was really hard, the beginning couple of months. But eventually you kind of feel like you get some footing and you begin to gain confidence,” he reassured.

The two of them fell into an easy back and forth just like they had before the whole family had split up once again. They talked about parenting, what the other had been doing their time apart, and what they thought that their siblings were doing now that they were free in the world. It turned out that Five and Viktor were still very close, which wasn’t all that surprising, and Klaus would pop into his life every now and again. Slowly, Diego got the family that he had been hoping for since his daughter had first been placed into his arms.

Continuing the saga of Ash beating trainers he absolutely shouldn't have beaten, we turned Cynthia from incredible veteran tactician to complete moron over the course of one episode.

Seriously, what logical reason can you come up with for Sinnoh Champion Cynthia, who is familiar with Ash and has seen him Mega Evolve Lucario to beat Raihan, seen him beat Steven and Tobias' Darkrai and then underestimate him? There's also no logical reason for her to bring out her main Garchomp twice against Dracovish and Sirfetch'd when she had Togekiss and Milotic in the wings who both have super-effective moves against those two, but we had to sell the 'tension' as if her fate wasn't sealed when she made the ridiculous decision to Dynamax Togekiss against a Lucario she knows can Mega Evolve and has some daft hikari no willpower Aura Sphere (because Cynthia couldn't possibly have a close bond to her pokémon like Ash does) and now Adaptability to stack onto its super effective Bullet Punch and then spam Max Airstream for all 3 turns (one of which Lucario can dodge for some reason) before then trying Sky Attack, the move that takes time to charge and leaves you open for attack, all instead of just mega evolving her Garchomp who doesn't have a type weakness to Lucario. Seriously though, Garchomp and Togekiss didn't even get to use one super effective move on Lucario, even though every game iteration of Cynthia's Togekiss knows Aura Sphere and the anime has had Garchomp use Dig and Brick Break before, but Cynthia - the learned veteran champion who knows Ash has a Lucario - doesn't opt to teach or use those moves? Unlikely.

I'm also sick of Ash's Pokémon bypassing damaging attacks; Dracovish while poisoned can run through a STAB Leaf Storm, Sirfetch'd can run through a Super Effective Disarming Voice, Pikachu can just avoid Earth Power because a rock appears underneath it so it can platform in the air and ignore gravity for 3 hits so it can Iron Tail some rocks Gastrodon still catches but apparently that's enough for Pikachu to Quick Attack through and KO Gastrodon's defenses in effectively 1-hit KO Gastrodon even though the attack was cushioned by 2 boulders. And of course Lucario can just Bullet Punch away Scale Shots and Air Slashes and Aura Sphere a Max Airstream, I don't think it was even affected by Garchomp's Rough Skin ability either. And the consolation for Cynthia fans are that she's not actually quitting after her main champion team lost to a team Ash trained this series, not even his biggest big guns, and he only used 1 strategic type advantage selection - since Dracovish never tried Ice Fang on Garchomp or Roserade - what a farce, losing to Ash already kills any credibility Cynthia has in the future because if she even looks like a threat we already know Ash can beat her.

It pisses me off really, because we sacrificed so many former characters of high credibility - and also Iris - just to push Ash vs Leon when frankly if they just did the same old formula of using rival trainers and Galar gym leaders we'd have the same amount of hype, all we've done is made Alain, Diantha, Cynthia, Steven, Wallace and Lance look like novice trainers. And now instead of immediately going to the final we get another gap of padding so this series can make its episode limit. An let's be honest, in reality Ash should be thwomped by Leon but he's gonna somehow get Leon down to Charizard as his last Pokémon, where we'll have Ash wipe out most of his other 5 like he's never even trained them before. The same old shit that the writers never actually change even though that's one of the parts that's been broken a long time in this anime. Win or Lose Ash vs Leon has ruined several champions this series, but I still hope Ash loses, I mean if it was me I'd have him be absolutely humbled but we know that's not gonna happen, because if Ash's story is gonna end I'd rather it get done right, and Journeys has been all wrong.

The following Pokémon will be the first to appear in Shadow Raids! Gyms not under Team GO Rocket control may still host other raids. 1⭐: Shadow Machop, Poliwag, Bellsprout, and Beldum. 3⭐: Quilava, Bayleaf, Croconaw, Sneasel. 5⭐:Mewtwo. 3⭐ and 5⭐ Shadow Raid Bosses will grow enraged as you battle them, boosting their attack and defense.

You can subdue Shadow Raid Bosses using Purified Gems, a new item that can be assembled from Shadow Shards, mysterious gem pieces that may be dropped by Team GO Rocket. Gather enough shards to use Professor Willow’s newly invented Shard Refiner, and you’ll be rewarded with a Purified Gem. There are multiple ways Purified Gems can assist your battle against enraged Shadow Raid Bosses. When you use a Purified Gem during a Shadow Raid, the enraged Shadow Raid Boss’s attack and defense will be lowered temporarily. You and your fellow Trainers can use more than one Purified Gem during a Shadow Raid. If used at the same time, their effects will stack. If enough Purified Gems are used, the enraged Shadow Raid Boss will be returned to its non-enraged state.

Regular non-Shadow Raids will host: 1⭐Marill, Clefairy, Tentacool, Skrelp, Popplio. 3⭐ Magneton, Lapras, Mawile, and Empoleon. 5⭐ are Regigigas and Tapu Fini. Mega Raids are Mega Pinsir and Altaria.

From May22 at 10am to May28 at 8pm, local time, a majority of Gyms will host Shadow Raids. From 10am to 8pm on Saturday, May27, Team GO Rocket activity will spike, taking over all raids.

Wild encounters are Ekans, Golbat, Koffing, Houndour, Poochyena, Stinky, and Skorupi. Rare encounters are Hisuian Qwilfish and Scraggy.

Event bonuses are Team Rocket appearing more at Pokestops and in Balloons.

Field Research focused on defeating Team GO Rocket and catching Pokémon will be available! Trainers can earn a Mysterious Component and Stardust as rewards.

✨ Navia Geo DPS Build ✨

🌕 I wasn't originally gonna pull for Navia but I was experiencing burn out with Genshin with no new character to build. I had planned to pull for either Nahida or C1 Neuvillette but when Navia's banner dropped, she seemed fun and overall just a very pretty character. As someone who takes pleasure in admiring character's design through game photography, I finally gave in to temptation and decided to just pull for her. If I lost, I'd keep it for other character.

🌕 Turns out, I got Navia and she easily made me relive my old glory days of being a Ningguang main. Being a geo character who doesn't scale off def like Itto or Noelle makes her versatile in terms of team comps. I can literally switch her out with Ningguang using the same team and she's good to go.

🌕 Disclaimer: This build is not perfect and by no means should be treated as a rigid rule. I just share what I have tested in game and what I know works for me. So always do your own research and take my guide with that note in mind!

Artifact Set

🌕 Navia's BiS set comes at the same time as her release. Nighttime Whispers easily caters to her kit as her main source of damage comes from her skill. She also gets geo damage bonus from the 4 pc set while she's protected by crystallize shield.

🌕 But if you don't have a good 4 pc Nighttime Whispers on hand right now, you can use other mix sets in the mean time such as:

4 pc Golden Troupe (in quick swap team)

2 pc atk% (Gladiator/Shimenawa/Vermilion/Echoes) 2 pc Golden Troupe

2 pc atk% 2 pc atk% (Gladiator/Shimenawa/Vermilion/Echoes)

2 pc Archaic Petra 2 pc atk% (Gladiator/Shimenawa/Vermilion/Echoes)

2 pc Archaic Petra 2 pc Golden Troupe

🌕 Here are the stats:

Artifact stats: atk% sands, geo damage bonus goblet, crit circlet

Ratio to follow: 1:3 crit ratio with >70% crit rate (her damage is typical one shot, so she has to crit all the time otherwise it would be a dps lost), >2.000 atk, >130% ER (with double geo in the team)

Team Composition

🌕 Since Navia scales off atk just like many other dps, she can easily benefit from the OG Genshin support such as Bennett and 2 pyro resonance. She's basically the 5* version of Ningguang from the team to her stats. Just note that Navia will rely a lot on crystallize production as gaining crystallize will increase her stack which will emphasize her damage output. So put another element that can create crystallize reaction (anything except dendro and anemo).

🌕 The 2 geo 2 pyro party is her most popular team comp for the moment as she gets buffed from 2 element the resonance. But you can also put her with another element or even hyper carry team with Furina and Mona.

🌕 A little tip from me: Don't bring more than 2 element in the team as it can mess up with the crystallize reaction. It's something that I learned trying to bring 3 elements (hydro, pyro, geo) in her team and before Navia can produce any crystallize, the element aura on enemies had disappeared first because of vaporize reaction thus the crystallize production becomes inconsistent.

Weapon Choice

🌕 Navia (and many other Fontaine dps) are relatively f2p friendly when it comes to weapon choices. She can even use weapons with energy recharge stats on them and will still perform just fine. The easiest weapon to obtain is craftable from early game, and if you had the chance to finish the event Roses and Muskets, Ultimate Overlord also works amazing as it covers her ER needs and gives a bounty of atk% bonus.

🌕 I would recommend on prioritizing her skill first, and then you can level up the rest until 6 just to help a little with her damage while her skill is on cooldown. Tbh the damage multiplier isn't that great but it's still much appreciated.

Sneak Peek to Solar Opposites in Mighty Solars Issue #48: “Monster Mayhem”

The Human Solars ran to the league witches of Earth-4 and the rest of their fellow Mighty Solars

Human Terry: Guys, what happened?! What happened to to 5 Teen Witches?!

Human Jesse: I don’t know but this city is fancy!

Luke: Ugh! Someone has entered their minds and have made their form’s uncontrollable! When we tries to get them to hear us, someone went inside their minds and have turn them into the worst things possible, Titans!

The human Solars gasp.

Human Korvo: Oh no…we gotta save them or-

Miss Frankie/Nightsaw: Uh, quick fellow humans go get our fellow Mighty Solars aliens quick! winks at the Human Solars

Human Korvo: On it!

The human solars then went and hide behind the walls as they turn back into their Shlorpian forms.

Korvo: Mighty Solars, time to suit up!

Yumyulack, Jesse, Pupa, Sonya and Phoebe: Right!

Terry: Hell yeah!

The group suits up. And with that the Solar Opposites family transform into their Mighty Solars and runs up to meet the others.

Jesse Solar-Opposites/Fung-irl: Guys!

Rest of the Mighty Solars: Guys!

Darcy/Sonar Woman: Thank God you guys are okay!

Nova/Heartstar: We have big problems!

Yumyulack Solar-Opposites/Vil-Gil-An-T: What kind of problems?

Linda: The girls have lost control of their Zenith powers! They’ve become Kaiju beasts!

Terry Solar-Opposites/Mighton: That does NOT sound good.

Louise, Trevor, Dr. Weatherstone, Alice and Janice sees the Mighty Solars and runs up to them, which for Stacy G’s attention.

Stacy G: gasp Mom!

Louise: Stacy! I was so worried about you! kisses her on the forehead

Quasarblast smiles.

Trevor: Thank God we found you! You won’t be a fucking day we had-

Cherie: Guys! Duck!

Trevor: Huh?

The heroes, Earth-4 witches and their friends then see mega quintessence mutant Will attacking as they dodge her.

Jesse Solar-Opposites/Fung-irl: Jesus christ!

Montez: Ugh! These girls are literally not listening to us!

Phoebe MaCcarthy/Starburst: We have to save them, or worse…

Jesse Solar-Opposites/Fung-irl: KILL THEM?!

Mighty Solars: What?! No! That’s wrong! Fucking crazy! We’re not killers y’know.

Jesse Solar-Opposites/Fung-irl: Okay. Sorry. Geez.

Pupa Solar-Opposites/The Mighty Pupa: MURDER!

Yumyulack/Vil-Gil-An-T: It’s okay Pupa. Fung-irl just freaked out for a bit.

Terry Solar-Opposites/Mighton: It’s okay sweetie. We know you didn’t mean it.

Korvo Solar-Opposites/Quasarblast: I think what Starburst means is that we need to FIGHT them.

Suddenly, when the Five Kaiju Teen Witches combine their blast at the heroes, it ends up blasting Louise, Trevor, Alice, Dr. Weatherstone and Janice, which ends up powering them as they scream. As the dust clears, the heroes sees five new heroic figures as Stacy G looks in worried.

Stacy G: MOM!

Stacy G tries run up but Fung-irl stops her As the dust clears, like when the Calamity trio transformed in Amphibia it is revealed that Trevor, Louise, Alice, Janice and Dr. Weatherstone have received their own Mighty Solars super suits

Dr. Weatherstone/???: Woah!

Louise/???: voice gets distorted; lifts her green lava cape Swanky duds!

Vil-Gil-An-T‘s jaw drops in shock. Alice grins as she shoots a lightning spider web up at the sky as she grins and blows the smoke off of her finger.

Alice/???: Louise, I have no idea we can do that!

Dr. Weatherstone/???: Did you know about this?

Louise/???: Uh, nope. These powers feel way more intense than before.

Janice/???: floating behind Louise The powers must stack when used in tandem! H’no Classic synergy buff y’know.

Quasarblast suddenly thinks of something.

Korvo Solar-Opposites/Qausarblast: This is perfect! Maybe you guys can distract the girls while we-

Trevor/???: Guys! Look! I’m walking plasma of H2O! This is awesome!

Quasarblast shifts a little.

Korvo Solar Opposites/Qausarblast: As I was saying, you new five can help us distract the girls while we find a way to stop whoever is doing this to them!

Phoebe MacCarthy/Starburst: That could work!

Marissa: offscreen Oh will it?

The heroes gasp and then sees the dream amulet broken as smoke flies from it and then they see Marissa floating above the broken amulet.

Parker/Venus Tip: Oh no.

Min-Li: gasp What?! This is impossible?! You were supposed to be trapped and-

Marissa: It’s too late! These girls are now under my control!

Yumi: What do you mean?!

Marissa grins evilly which made Starburst growl and realize something.

Phoebe MacCarthy/Starburst: You bitch! It was you who did this! You’re a fucking psycho!

Quasarblast growls in anger upon hearing what Marissa did.

Korvo Solar-Opposites/Quasarblast: You monster! How could you-

Marissa: I had already some help! Someone who was willing to help me! It’s too late! These girls are now mine! Nothing can stop me-

Suddenly, a blast hits Marissa as she falls to the ground in pain and lets go her staff.

Terry Solar-Opposites/Mighton: What the fuck?! Who did that?!

Cherie: I don’t know.

Darcy/Sonar Woman: Wasn’t me!

Korvo Solar-Opposites/Quasarblast: We need to stop her now!

Suddenly a woman’s chuckle was heard, which sounded familiar to Cherie, Nova, Montez and Sherbet.

Nova/Heartstar: Oh my God… that voice…

Cherie: It can’t be… can it?

Sherbet/Fizziepop: Oh God. No! No!

Cheery Smithers/Bloody Sympathy: Guys, what’s wrong?

???: Oh you poor things. Trap in a mind of a rogue witch… all that woman wanted to is get her fucking stupid son back on her side and rule the world and take you for advantage… but she was just a fool… I however… can make an offer to you five…

Suddenly…a blazing lightning midnight purple spiritual mist appears as it reveals an old foe of the Wallians… Sister Sisto as the Heartstar, Cherie, Montez and Fizziepop gasp in horror while the others grow shock.

Cherie: Sister Sisto?!

Terry Solar-Opposites/Mighton: You know her?!

Sister Sisto/???: Hello, my former fellow Bowinians…

Jesse Solar-Opposites/Fung-irl: Bowinians?! What?!

Korvo Solar-Opposites/Quasarblast: Heartstar, what is happening?!

Nova/Heartstar: Guys, that’s the false prophet we were telling you about last time when we first met! That’s Sister Sisto!

Mighton gasps.

Yumyulack Solar-Opposites/Vil-Gil-An-T: WHAT?!

Quasarblast looks angrily at Yumyulack.

Korvo Solar-Opposites/Quasarblast: sighs in dismay; deadpan Way to go Vil-Gil-An-T… you accidentally created a villain!

Yumyulack Solar-Opposites/Vil-Gil-An-T: I didn’t know!

Montez: I’m sorry true! She’s a false prophet and a murder and a kidnapper! She’s the one who causes all of this! The death of Tim, death do Sister Sasha, the temperature, everything!

Vil-Gil-An-T starts crying.

Cherie: She also kidnapped Pezlie and made her an icon! She also used Jesse as a pawn of her own.

Korvo-Solar-Opposites/Qausarblast: comforts his son Hey, it’s okay… you didn’t know… shh…

Yumyulack Solar-Opposites/Vil-Gil-An-T: I’m so sorry, Cherie.

Cherie: comforts Vil-Gil-An-T It’s okay. You didn’t know. Sisto was also using Jesse as a legend just to get people to follow her in a path of death!

Sister Sisto/???: Oh, this is very touching but I think it’s time I sealed your fate!

Marissa growls but gets grabbed in the rope by Sister Sisto.

Marissa: Let me go! grunts

Ms. Frankie/Night Saw: You’re not gonna stop us!

Sister Sisto/???: Oh I sure will. For I am… reveals her new physical form and a villain suit of her own Black Mirror!

Heartstar gasps

Sonya/Nighthowler: Oh no! She’s crazy!

Sister Sisto/Black Mirror: Oooh! But first…

Black Mirror attacks Mighton.

Korvo Solar-Opposites/Quasarblast: MIGHTON! growls at Black Mirror

Mighton groans in pain while Qausarblast helps his hubby up and looks at Black Mirror furiously then uses her mind control on the 5 Kalju Teen Witches as they roar in pain. Marisa tries to get out a beastly looking potion, only the wind to blew it out of her hands onto Quasarblast’s leg as he screams in pain.

Nova/Heartstar: Qausarblast!

Jesse Solar-Opposites/Fung-irl: QUASARBLAST!

Yumyulack Solar-Opposites/Vil-Gil-An-T: Oh my God!

Sonya/Nighthowler: Daddy!

Sister Sisto/Black Mirror: I bet that hurts…

Suddenly, Quasarblast starts screaming in pain as he suddenly starts growing bigger and muscular and his skin starts to turn black as he starts growing to the size of a KaIju beast.

Randall/Blackhole: Oh shit!

Principal Cooke/Trailblazer: That’s a huge bitch!

Terry Solar-Opposites/Mighton: Quasarblast?!

Now a giant KaIju Mundane, Quasarblast roars while the rest of the Mighty Solars gasp in horror and Black Mirror laughs evilly.

Jesse Solar-Opposites/Fung-irl: What’s happening?!

Sonya/Nighthowler: Quasarblast! No!

Yumyulack Solar-Opposites/Vil-Gil-An-T: What have you done?! You turn our dad into a fucking monster!

Mighton starts crying.

Sister Sisto/Black Mirror: Aw what’s the matter Mighton? Love the makeover I intentionally did to your husband.

Mighton starts snarling in anger with tears in his eyes. He then punches Black Mirror in the face as she growls.

Sister Sisto/Black Mirror: You strong arm bitch! What the fuck?!

Terry Solar-Opposites/Mighton: YOU WILL PAY FOR WHAT YOU DID!

Black Mirror grins and escapes by turning into her spirit form and leads the 5 KaIju monsters away from the heroes. Mundane Quasarblast growls as his eyes glow aquamarine and angirly follows them monster for battle.

Terry Solar-Opposites/Mighton: No…Korvo!

Nova/Heartstar: We have to go after them!

Louise/???: We’ll take care of the girls! You take care of Quasarblast!

The heroes split up while Mighton looks tearfully at Mundane Quasarblast roaring.
