✨New item!✨ Dragon Turtle Plate Armor (plate), very rare (requires attunement)

You have a +1 bonus to AC and resistance to fire damage while wearing this armor fashioned from a dragon turtle hatchling's shell.

As an action, you can exhale scalding steam in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, taking 9d8 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Being underwater doesn't grant resistance against this damage. The armor can't be used this way again until you complete a long rest.

If you are knocked prone while wearing this armor, flip a coin. If you lose the flip, you fall on your back. To stand up, you must succeed on a DC 10 Dexterity check on your turn and then use all your movement for that turn. Another player may use their action to get you on your feet.

To become a merknight of the Order of the Trench, you must undergo a perilous mission. This quest takes you into the nest of a dragon turtle, where you must slay a hatchling and acquire its shell. This bony carapace will become your suit of armor, so finding an appropriately sized hatchling is very important if you want to look good. - 🖌🎨 Like our work? a thought just stemrolled into my mind and that was how i may have accidentally gave Anthony a second Witch form in that first Akechi-ny ficlet and so it gave way to more thoughts:

watch if Familiars who turned into full Witches like Anthy and Pyotr are able to shift from their civi form (boy and rat) to a form similar to their OG Witches, and finally to their true "mature" Witch form (MerKnight and Eldritch Rat).

I decided to make some new Shovel Knight OCs, one based on a pun, the other based on a new mythological creature I found about. X3 Devil Knight and Zitiron Knight are siblings raised in the same weaponry techniques. However, thanks to various circumstances, they took entirely different paths, taking deals that gave them strong powers that remain at odds with each other. Despite the abilities, and morality points at different ends, they are still close and cordial to each other, so better be wary if you choose to fight one when the other is around! Devil Knight was always a bargain-taker. Anything for powers, even if she didn't understand them. She kind of forced herself under the tutelage of Specter Knight, and by that, she just follows him around and tries to mimic what she thinks he's like. Affiliated very vaguely with The Order of No Quarter, she is willing to take new offers or give out offers, anything for a sample of more power, no matter how much it's twisting her body. Pros: Promise-keeping, influential Cons: Doggedly stubborn, risky Zitiron Knight took a path opposite of his older sister. Saving some important people gave him the abilities of a fish...somewhat! Now a merknight, he patrols the seas. A thorn in the side of Treasure Knight, he just wants to make sure the sea life is healthy and happy, and constant treasure hunting doesn't make them that happy! He's also very chummy with Shovel Knight, though he's pretty insistent that the shovel wielder is hiding something like he has under that helmet! Pros: Fast swimmer, amiable Cons: Useless on land, budges in to help when he's not wanted

📖 mermaid AU!

Depends on the interpretation of mermaids, but I've gotten some concepts down!

Based off another oc of mine, Califia would be a skilled huntress and be trained by her father to be, essentially, a merknight. As a sea mermaid, she's mostly just with her dad but they tag along with other pods to migrate and she makes sure to be close with them.

As of attitude towards humans, she's pretty neutral. This interpretation of mermaids eats humans, and she has hunted humans before. However you have a chance at getting close, or even... romancing her.

Shipwreck MerKnight. His armor is made of gemstones instead of metal to avoid rust. He helps survivors escape the ocean and does all he can to prevent shipwrecks in the first place. Unfortunately he has fallen for someone who he saved and is afraid to admit it for he believes that they would never return to the ocean. Imagine his surprise when they come back to scuba and swim with him, and then eventually admit they fell for him as well.
