Omg I am smiling and blushing so hard 🥰☺️ I do have favorites, a whole bunch of them in fact because I've been religiously binge-reading Joel & Ellie fics for like a month now and I am nowhere near halfway through what I have currently opened (74 tabs and counting) and let me just state real quick that this is HEAVEN to me, to be able to sit back, relax and just read and consume father-daughter fics, masterpiece after masterpiece because THERE'S SO MANY!!! I'm new to this fandom, with zero game experience whatsoever, and I'm coming from a fandom where, well, if I wanted father-daughter content, I pretty much had to make it myself 😐 so THANK YOU, The Last Of Us fandom, for opening the doors for this starving girl and treating her with a feast. Y'all are my heroes, for real.

So, first and foremost, the number 1 on this list has to be the softest, cutest, most beautiful thing my lovely friend @skoulsons brought to life out of a tiny little post I made - Dialing In All Your Pheromones

I was on the edge of my seat waiting for this and when it dropped, Istg I screamed. It's soooooo good!!!!!!!! It's her first published fic as far as I know so please people shower her with love to let her know how BRILLIANT she is!

Then you have the absolute legend @nooowestayandgetcaught - their fics always have me on the floor screaming, crying, throwing up because they are INSANE

A Violent Heart - This one gripped me by the heart so hard I gasped. Just WOW.

OK I need to try to get out this out real quick because it's been circling my head since last night (this morning 4am lmao) but I am thinking about the potential for conflict in Halstarion, when taking their differing relationships/views of authority into account.

TL;DR!!!!! I am only midway through Act 2!!!!!!!!!!

Like, on the one hand we have Astarion, who really wants power over others. He seeks out powerful people to seduce and manipulate for his own self-preservation, yes, but he wants to be the one wielding power so fucking bad- that conversation at the beginning of Act 2, where he tries to convince the PC that taking over the Absolute cult and using their tadpoles to control a literal army of cultists is the best plan of action. IIRC he's the only companion with basically no reservations about embracing tadpole powers and WANTS you to share spare tadpoles with him.

Meanwhile you have Halsin who is in a very powerful- and respected!- position where he has tons of influence over a great many people- and he neither asked for it, sought it out, nor is he particularly happy about all of the responsibility. I don't have screencaps of it like I thought, I HAVE SCREENCAPS AFTER ALL: he has all that dialogue about how he hates having to deal with other people's problems, and most importantly, Halsin tells the PC not to trust people who seek out positions of authority:

if his mentor hadn't died suddenly at a moment where there was no choice but to step up as a leader, I feel like he'd probably have shied away from taking on such a mantle.

So like... where does that put Astarion in his eyes, when it becomes apparent Astarion is desperately power-hungry in a way that goes far beyond protecting himself. This is a man who has suffered 200 years of horrific indignities, and has come out of it wanting to be powerful enough everyone else will be crushed under HIS heel- that he'll never be below someone again. I'm not sure it's very clear in the game if these opinions of his are ever apparent to anyone beyond the PC, but just thinking of Halsin realizing Astarion's intentions with his tadpole powers... the cult-leader aspirations, the ascension aspirations. How wary would Halsin be, how much would he actively try to reach out and steer Astarion away from the paths he's clawing his way down. Does he see him as an immature man who was far too young (for an elf) before his life was ripped away, and hasn't been shown any real alternatives, after centuries of living at the bottom rung of a violently-enforced hierarchy. How frustrated would he be by Astarion's incredibly unpleasant self-defense mechanisms and how he lashes out in the ugliest, cruelest ways possible. Would Astarion bristle like a rabid cat if Halsin tried to talk him into considering other ways of survival, push away what he sees as patronizing meddling from someone who thinks he's soooooo much better than everyone else because of his age and his esteemed goody-two-shoes reputation. How much friction would this generate in their relationship!!!!

Add in Astarion ever learning about Halsin's own history of being held captive and used for sex by horrific abusers, and the fact Halsin seems so much more stable and put together and /happy/ with life, and all of Astarion's ugly bitterness and resentment being projected out at Halsin for THAT... Like would he think Halsin's concern is mockery, assuming insults and judgment for how pathetic and messed-up he is in every word.

where am I going with this, I don't know, I actually started writing this post 4 hours ago and now I'm home and finishing it. I think they should have some very unpleasant arguments and frustrate and trigger the hell out of each other and then kiss about it.

Deadpool is sometimes voiced by Nolan North in video games that have Deadpool in it (who is the voice you hear in the second video above and he’s also the voice of Deadpool in Marvel versus Capcom).

Nolan North voices Desmond.

Am I saying that a Deadpool-esque Desmond could be interesting? Absolutely.

But we’re going to focus on Deadpool and Ezio meeting in this one…

So the thing is… Deadpool breaks the fourth wall. He even calls Nolan North in his game XD

So if Ezio and Deadpool were to meet for whatever reason (hey, Ezio got into Soul Caliber, anything is possible at this point), it would be total chaos because Deadpool is not only a wildcard but he has the ability to cheat, and find out what will happen next.

Hell, Deadpool could totally call Ezio ‘Chris’ or ‘Redfield’ or ‘Boulder Puncher’ because Roger Craig Smith who voices Ezio voiced Chris Redfield in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (and most mainline RE games up to RE6) as a reference and it’ll make sense because nothing makes sense when it comes to Deadpool.

Deadpool could even go “I know a Desmond. Well, I know his name, people say we sound alike.”

Although, considering Deadpool’s personality, he and Ezio could easily be more like rivals, especially if Deadpool is targeting the same person Ezio plans to assassinate. He is a merc, after all.

Will they be friends? More like reluctant allies on Ezio’s side, although Deadpool would definitely say they’re BFFs and maybe even flirt with him. Ezio would think Deadpool is too dangerous and destructive to be a member of the Brotherhood but he wouldn’t necessarily think Deadpool needs to die because he believes Deadpool will do the right thing when push comes to shove. (Also, he’s an Assassin, shady allies are pretty much part of the whole ‘we work in the shadows’ deal anyway)

Deadpool would think Ezio is fun but also a bit too much of a ‘goody two shoes’ (compared to him, anyway). He’s always been a wildcard and that won’t stop simply because he spent a few days partnered with Ezio.

Hell, Deadpool would take a contract from a Templar if he feels like it but… he won’t kill Ezio.

At best, it would be more or less a friendly sparring match.

If there was going to be a story where the two of them meet, it could easily fall for the ‘fight in the first act because of some kind of misunderstanding, team up on the third act’ setup of many crossover specials.

Professor Belladonna: At first glance you wouldn’t recognize her as a Melli descendent, both in appearance and personality. She purposely leans into sweet granny persona when speaking to the public and press, playing the part of the picture perfect pokemon professor. It’s only when she’s behind doors that her crueler demanding and self centered side comes out. If you can’t meet her high standard you are worthless to her.

Belladonna considers herself a respectable professor and to the public she is. But she also has had more then a few dealings with criminal organizations in her time, looking for her help with a project or offering to fund her own Scientific ventures that her superiors might find a little too unethical to approve.

Also, if she wants something, she will do what ever it takes to have it, no mater what it cost those around her. What she wanted at first was Sneasler, then it was Sneaseler and Akari’s team of Hisui pokemon. Then it was realized that not only do these grubby fools have a clutch of these Sneaseler’s eggs in their possession, but two untraceable hand held PCs that seemed to hold multiples of historical pokemon beyond what they had expected.

At that point Belladonna wouldn’t care for her goody researcher front. If she can get ahold of these pokemon she can disappear and be set for life on the criminal black market. She’ll call in all the favors she’s owed from every corporation, legal and otherwise, to help catch these feral fugitives.

I think her pokemon team would include:

Golbat

Parasect

Skuntank

Victreebell

Drapion

Vileplume (her ace)

I got another ask on Mint specifically I’ll post next where I’ll expand on them in that ask.

But as for how Belladonna feels about her grandkid. There’s allot of indifference/ disappointment in them for how they’ve not become nearly as successful as their father/aunt/cousins were by their age. She only gave them the low level job at her lab as a favor to her son.

Hola! Thanks for the question dear.

My JJK fave is Megumi. I adore his character so much.

From my perspective I find that he's so well written (totally breaks the mold of his character trope while remaining true to it) and I've simply loved seeing his growth throughout the story.

I suspect there's so much more in store for his character arc given the symbolism of the Grey Wolf and its relation to the alchemical process.

I'm curious to see how Gege executes on the symbolism because the Grey Wolf is a metaphor for the purification of Gold (the goal of the Alchemical process if I understand correctly). So there's something very metaphorical about Megumi's ability to become a better version of himself that I find soooooo inspiring.

I find it truly beautiful and poetic how Megumi navigates his sense of self and then manages to overcome whatever limitations of himself he thought he was bound by.

If you think about it, JJK has been harping on the idea that the strongest sorcerers have an overwhelming sense of self so... I am looking forward to seeing where Gege takes Megumi's sense of self.

I smell the possibility of an arc in which he might come to make certain questionable decisions with the best intentions in mind. Who knows. That's my personal self-indulgent wish.

As for my favorite arc, it has got to be the Origin of Obedience arc.

I loved learning about Megumi's backstory and how he manifested the pinnacle of Jujutsu techniques--a domain expansion; but I also loved seeing the lead up to Megumi manifesting his Domain Expansion.

The fact that Megumi "failed" so many times, or appeared to be "weak" prior to this moment made it all the more impactful to watch him exorcise a Cursed Spirit he previously considered beyond his abilities.

It's just so damn relatable and inspiring.

Chapter 23 of the anime is actually the reason why I started reading the manga and got obsessed with JJK.

I have to admit I've also loved seeing this other side of Megumi during the Culling Game arc that we had only gotten hints of previously.

I love ruthless characters and am naturally drawn to them. I have to say his attitude during the CG makes him well-rounded as a character. He's kind-hearted and mean, ruthless.

I know a lot of fans don't like to think of Megumi as mean or that it's only natural that he's a little cray because all sorcerers are cray... 🤷🏻‍♀️ to each their own. I like to interpret Megumi as a multi-dimensional character.

Goody-two-shoes characters are boring to me.

I miss him lol.

Gege, please, bring my boi back!

I also like daddy Sukuna. Which is funny to think because, while I find Yuji endearing, I prefer Sukuna as a character.

He’s fascinating to say the least and there’s so much mystery around him. He’s the character with the strongest sense of self so...

Not to mention he’s sexy.

So , what would be the best strategy for beating a molduga ? I know vaguely it's a big sand snake thingy, but I have no idea how to deal with it.

I think I wanna get the thunder helm, less for a practical reason and more I want Link to have something that reminds him of his old friends.

unironically i love the moldugas, they're probably my favorite minibosses fdhfklsd lightning lightning lightning they take extra damage from electricity. get yourself on a rock nearby, wait til one's close-ish, throw your round bomb into the sand and wait for it to notice, zoom to it, and launch out of the sand to try to eat it--then blow up the bomb. it'll fall over and wheeze on its side for a minute, and thats when you either whale on it with an electric weapon, or snipe it with shock arrows from--and this is important--a high damage bow but Not a multishot bow. theres dps penalties attached to multishot bows that make them kinda crummy for elemental arrows, so its better to save them for normal arrows and korok puzzles, or trying to crit hit a lynel out of an attack. aim for its underbelly, and when it juuust starts to move fucking run back to your rock cus it'll send you flying fhflshfdls they drop soooooo many goodies its totally worth it

MAKING FRIENDS 10000000%!! i always heard people online talking about that and it never really happened to me, but in the past year it's been so amazing to make special friends within the fandom and be able to talk about anything and everything with them

i love @pink-flame so much, anything she writes is pure gold. i also love seeing @thedeathdeelers on my dash all the time, keeping that juke love alive! and i'm so excited that @pawprinterfanfic is back in the writing groove for willex!! (all her fics are also so incredibly good)

9) What’s a fanwork that made you laugh?

i don't really read fics for laughter? i know it's kinda weird but i love angst and love, not sillyness in fics. that said, i am a SUCKER for witty/funny banter, and the wizarding world of food service series has some good ones!!

oh boy! okay, con au running with fire i live like a liar because it was the most worldbuilding i've done outside of a strict au by myself (and also i think it came out well). evil music my beloved! nothing broken (just our minds) is painful but i really liked the tension and the way it continued to ramp up in intensity each time. and then my luke survives au, i miss the days when. definitely one of my more intense and darker fics but i'm proud of how it turned out.

i think don't say goodbye, my boys death fic? i just looked at the stats for it (i never look at stats for anything lol) and it has way less hits than i would have thought

here are a bunch of fucking fantastic fics I’ve enjoyed and loved reading throughout the month of october. I recommend that you read these great fics in november, if you haven’t already!! also check out the Reverse Big Bang and 31 Days of Smut!

(all fics with a star are my favorites and if there are two stars then it was a favorite favorite)

1. Damn the Dark, Damn the Light 20k

“Why is this face of beauty ringing so true?” The genuine confusion in Harry’s voice causes Louis’ chest to painfully twinge. “You’re a complete stranger in my eyes, William Shakespeare, but not in my heart. How is that possible?”

Louis wants to live out every romance plot he has ever written in his own life. He wants to be the protagonist of his own narrative, the hero who finds true love and gets his happy ending. Instead, Louis is stuck with only dreaming of such wild fantasies and writing them down. He can create entire romances in his dreams, yet he can never live one.

2. Threadbare 20k**

Harry Styles was eight years old when Louis Tomlinson kept him from falling into a machine in a Manchester textile mill. He was 18 years old when nothing, not even the threat of death, could keep Harry from falling in love with Louis.

3. Don’t Come Down 6k

Louis takes Harry home to meet the family.

4. I’ll Take Your Pain 2k*

Or, soulmates have the ability to feel each other's pain, and Harry finds his after getting his arse waxed.

5. We'll Never Be Lonely in the Dark 6k

Detective Louis Tomlinson keeps getting blocked when he tries to use his psychic gift to locate a missing child. One late night he manages to get through but instead of finding who he's looking for he lands in the bedroom of a mysterious man.

Harry Styles, nursing student, baker, and all around exhausted medium, thinks he's having the best sex dream he's ever had when his fantasy man shows up in his subconscious. But is that really what's going on?

Louis realises he's slept with a man of every star sign except for Aquarius, and that just won't do.

7. Forget-Me-Not 26k**

“I- I can't move” the elder one finally croaked out, and with more distress Harry came to see that the vines had wrapped itself around the lad's ankles.

With a dumb nod Harry took a couple of steps forward. He could see Louis flinch with his sudden movement but he tried not to think about it. Instead, he lifted his hands, and tried his best to concentrate, hoping his power would listen to him just this once around the other man and untie him.

Ever so slowly, the vines started to detach themselves from Louis's calves, and soon enough, the man was free. With shaking legs, Louis stood up from the position he was in, and suddenly the air around them got thicker. “You're- you're a witch.” Louis hissed under the harsh wind, making Harry flinch at the accusation in his voice.

Or, where Harry had something he did not wish to have. Louis was just trying to figure him out.

8. Gem and the Hunters: The Treasure of Babylon 34k**

Louis Tomlinson wished, for one thing, his whole life: to find the ancient city of Babylon. After one failed attempt, he swore to never again attempt a search for the city. His friend, Niall Horan never pushed the issue, but when his family finds themselves in trouble, Niall’s only option is to convince Louis to try and find Babylon again.

Niall enlists the help of two famous treasure hunters: Harry and Gemma Styles and their friend Liam Payne. Harry and Gemma love ancient cultures as much as Louis and would give anything to find Babylon. Liam is just along for the ride, running from a shade in his past.

The five embark on the adventure of a lifetime… and find much more than any of them bargained for.

9. I Never Did Believe in the Ways of Magic (Through I’ve a Feeling It’s Time to Try) 54k*

Louis can’t shake the feeling that there’s something in the woods, pressing close and watching him with a heavy gaze. It makes him antsy, fills him with jitters. He wants to run, or scream, but he knows to do so would only put him in danger if there’s actually something out there after all. He’s sure he’s just imagining it, but his heart nevertheless pounds in his throat.

When Louis Tomlinson goes on a songwriting retreat to the Laurentian Mountains of Canada, this isn't how he expects his evening to go.

Or the au where Louis is a singer who has been cursed to never make music again and Harry is a reclusive witch of the Canadian mountains who's going to help him break the curse.

10. Cancel Your Reservations, No More Hesitations 10k

Louis still has his eyes on the bill when he barges into Harry’s room without knocking because he doesn’t want to get evicted and the smell hits him first.

It’s overly sweet and unnatural, and his stomach drops because it smells like an omega. Louis eyes widen and he looks up and - Harry’s on his hands and knees, a half spilled bottle of synthetic omega slick next to him and a huge, knotted dildo pressing into his hole. Harry’s face is flushed and he looks fucked-out and -

“I’m sorry!” Louis squeaks out and quickly backtracks, face red, because he wasn’t supposed to see that and Harry’s an alpha but he - Louis isn’t going to judge him.

Louis is an alpha and so is Harry, but Louis helps him through his rut anyway.

11. Foothold 18k

Louis has crossed the galaxy with a ship full of crystals; they’re the only thing he has to offer in exchange for safe harbor. He thought getting to his destination would be the hardest part, hoping that once he got his family to safety everything would fall back into place; Louis struggles to adapt while his sisters thrive. Louis suspects Emperor Styles may have something to do with it.

12. Don’t Want Shelter 76k*

Louis and Harry have known each other all their lives. Friends as children, they danced around each other as teenagers, and have spent the last twenty-five years either screaming at each other or not speaking at all. Except for that one time ten years ago…

When Hurricane Nicole threatens the coast, they end up stuck together in their families' old vacation home that they begrudgingly co-own.

During the storm, and in the months after, they’re both forced to reevaluate their history and what they mean to each other.

13. Wasted Like a Memory 4k

Six years before Hurricane Nicole forces Louis and Harry together, Fizzy gets married. Harry wrestles with reconciling the different versions of Louis he knows. (Part of Don’t Want Shelter)

14. Taste and Plead 3k

Or, the one where Harry wants something, and Louis' never been one to deny his boy anything.

15. Home For Christmas 22k**

The Shameless Hallmark Movie AU you probably didn't ask for.
