Not the Mama...or the Father

This takes place in a universe where Jango Fett survived Geonosis AND where Palpatine is defeated without Order 66 coming into being (the chips still existed, yes that is important).

After the war ends there is an absolute legal quagmire regarding the clones. Their origins (Possibly commissioned by the Jedi, a Republic Entity, outside of Republic Space, on Kamino, using the DNA of a Non Republic Citizen for a Republic Army, paid for by means that no one has been able to identify-presumably illegal and/or embezzled) mean that acknowledging their sentience also means that everyone involved broke so many laws that prosecution would take a decades. This compounded by the fact that it is an all or nothing kind of situation, on paper the Jedi who did their best were tied to those crimes just as thoroughly as senators who abused the Guard. While the Jedi, as a whole, would be willing to face that prosecution if it meant the clones would be considered sentient, they had rather less power than the Senators who did not want to face their crimes. In the end the only way to get the support for the Clone Rights bill was to add a clause that the bill would not be considered retroactive. The clones would be considered sentient after the bill was turned into law but could not seek any kind of reparations, back pay, or even acknowledgement that their rights had been violated prior to the law.

NOTE: It horrified everyone (though it should be acknowledged that the Jedi and the Clones were horrified for very different reasons than many of the Senate) when the Coruscant Guard successfully sued a number of Republic Senators, their aides, and several citizens for ‘sexual abuse of a non sentient’(It was a very odd lawsuit where Thire, who had taken to law with a frightening passion, was able to argue that the Clones could bring the suit as their own owners, since being sentient with a start start date essentially meant that they now owned themselves and the laws around abuse of non sentients are written so that new owners can sue past owners for abuse-written so that animal abuse could be fully prosecuted even years after the fact). Criminal charges were even filed, though it was harder to get those charges through the system.

Jango Fett, due both to the Clones legal tangle and how it had to be resolved, could not be brought up on charges for his part in the creation of the clones, their training, and the chips. None of it was technically illegal. The fact that all of the clones looked like him meant anyone who did not know better tended to consider the clones his children. At first Jango was just as quick to correct people, somewhat violently.

However as more and more clones began to distinguish themselves he started to play into it. Saying how proud he was of his children and that his genetics must have been superior (incidentally giving Boba more than one complex in the process). Most of the clones have no idea what to do with this behavior, since acknowledgement by Prime was something that almost all of them wanted as children. Also he wasn’t really acknowledging any clone in particular. He was simply soaking up the accolades of being associated with so many driven, accomplished people.

Though the Commander batches tended to be the most well known, every batch of clones had at least one or two members that distinguished themselves in a positive manner.

Then comes the very public wedding of Commander Bly and Aayla Secura. While the two are very much in love it is also a political/PR move. The scandal of the Amidala/Skywalker marriage left the galaxy with a very skewed view of the Jedi and marriage. The fact that Skywalker would go on to tell anyone who would listen that he was kicked out for falling in love made the issue worse. (Commander Cody and Obi Wan were also considered for this PR move, however they were not quite at the point where they wanted to get married, also Anakin’s…reactions to the scandal of his marriage left some scars for Obi Wan. It would be quite some time before being perceived by a large crowd of beings-with the exclusion of the Jedi or the clones- would be something Obi Wan could tolerate)

Though the Jedi wedding traditions are typically a private affair, with permission of the happy couple every tradition would be made into a public spectacle with explanations for the traditions. One such tradition is that a parental figure (generally the Master if it is a Jedi) for each member of those getting married would escort their children down the aisle, as it were. This was a way for the parental figure to signal their support, or at least acceptance, of the marriage. Within this tradition it was very noticeable when a particular parental figure did not show up…or was not invited.

The public nature of the ceremony meant that Jango knew when and where to show up. He did not think much that he was not specifically invited, having bought into his own propaganda of being the father of the Clones. He arrives at the staging area, Boba in tow, to loudly announce that he was there to walk Bly down the aisle. Very publicly.

All preparation stopped for a moment, a silence descending that almost echoed. Then Bly scoffed loud enough to be captured by the recording equipment (Every moment of each tradition was being recorded by no less than three recording crews at all times, currently there are six recording the lead up to the ceremony).

Derision dripped from every syllable coming from Bly’s mouth, “Why should I care about your approval of my life partner” (harkening back to the meaning behind the tradition).

Jango spluttered about being Bly’s parent.

Bly tilted his head, eyes distant as if looking into the past, “What was it you said, when you heard Ponds ask Alpha-17 for a name?”

Jango looked perplexed, clearly not remembering the interaction.

Wolffe stepped from crowd, “you said, ‘livestock doesn’t need a name’”

Cody took his place at Bly’s side ‘You are no parent to us, you lost that title when you sold us.’

Bly nodded along, “Cody is walking me down the aisle (In the background Alpha grumbles that it is only because Cody is tricky little shit. All the clones in the room smother a grin as Cody shoots Alpha a smug smile-NOTE: There was a duel/tournament between fifteen Alpha and CC clones that were considered ‘older’ than Bly on who got the honor of escorting him down the aisle, since the explanation of what constituted a parent left them with the firm belief that any clone that is older than you could be considered such) and you, Prime, are not welcome. Go back to the son you claimed.”

The galaxy at large absolutely ate up the ‘You are not my father’ drama, which frankly served to humanize the clones, and their assorted Jedi, better than anything else.

My redneck neighbor Doug's interpretations on various 'Bad Batch' characters: Side Character Edition!

I'm chuffed that everyone thinks my neighbor Doug is funny: he really is a gem. I had no idea we'd bond over Star Wars and crappy weather, but here we are.

Naturally, I had to bother him about other characters that showed up on The Bad Batch, so, here we go!

Phee Genoa: Ah-ha, that there’s Church Lady. You know her, she’s got a big square in her pocketbook and you don’t know if it’s pound cake or a brick, because the Lord saves but He can’t help you in the alley when you’re in Treme and the streetlights just turned on. She has two ex-husbands who are both preachers and they turned to Jesus because they are so scared of Church Lady in court.

(So I guess he’s saying Phee has raw WHO DAT energy, for my Saints fans out there)

Cid: Looking at this fat lizard bitch makes me hungry. I call that one Houma-BBQ because I’m guessing we could feed a whole parish fire station based on the size of her tail. I wish she’d shut up, she reminds me of my mother-in-law.

Cad Bane: Homeboy looks like a Sesame Street character who teaches Big Bird about concealed carry laws. I call him Gun Safety Muppet. I don’t like him because he shot my Wife and I’s Boyfriend on the other show and his robot needs to be tossed into a wood chipper.

(“I’m not gay, but Jenny and I…well, we would make an exception to that man. You ever see ‘Deadwood’? Man is fine. I’m not GAY.”)

Fennec Shand: That’s The Chick that’s in Everything. She was on ER and Boba Fett and I think a Marvel show too? I like her. Hope she kills Gun Safety Muppet and hurls his blue ass into a dumpster.

Howzer: That’s my niece’s boyfriend, Jorge. We all love Jorge, nice guy, owns an auto repair shop and always remembers plates and napkins for the cookouts after church.

Gregor: Jorge’s cousin, Manny. Met him once at Christmas in Miami, nice guy, only drinks brown liquor and insists everyone arm wrestle him. But he’s got a good job as a PE teacher, we respect education, come on now.

The Martez Sisters: Aw, man, it’s Jorge’s Unemployed Sisters. I hate it when they show up for Christmas and get into fights with my momma.

(“Doug, you know they’re not related to the clones at all, right?” “Says who?” “The PLOT?” “Eh, they’ll change it, just watch.”)

Mayday: Aw, I liked this guy so much! That’s Sassy Park Ranger, he’s the type that gives you your camping permits, warns you about the bears, and then is all disappointed when you don’t properly stow your food and the bears destroy the campsite. I need to go back to Little River Canyon, that place was pretty.

Lt. Nolan: THAT STUPID BLOND JACKASS. (Doug was so enraged by the guy he had nothing else to add. Damn.)

Senator Chuchi: Why does this lady make me want a blue slushie? I’ll call her the Sonic Special. They need more Sonics here in the north, they really do.

Cody: That’s Obi-Wan’s Boyfriend, he’s sad all the time. We know why. (Confirmed that Doug is a Codywan shipper and I don’t know what to do about that)

Royce Hemlock: Is that Jimmy Neutron after he grew up and became one of those guys that’s on the internet all the time writing creepy things? It’s Jimmy-the-Scientist. He looks like the type of person dogs get weird around.

Rex: That's Rex. He's a king. Respect him.

classic murder mystery au told from the perspectives of Inspectors Mace Windu and Ahsoka Tano who are called in to investigate the murder of Senator Palpatine, who was found dead on the grounds, cause of death: MURDER. The investigation is on to catch the killer hiding amongst an eclectic bunch of visitors to the senator’s country manor for the long weekend. His husband turned widow, young Anakin Skywalker. World famous equestrian Padmé Amidala. Celebrity chef Rex Fett and his brother, soldier Cody Fett. High court judge Bail Organa and business heiress Breha Organa. Count Dooku. The town’s vicar, Obi-Wan Kenobi. The gardener, Qui-Gon Jinn. Mystery novelist Quinlan Vos

Everyone has an airtight alibi. No one really likes each other but it’s clear everyone hates Palpatine and everyone has a reason to want him dead, especially his new and young husband, who stands to inherit all his money. It’s common knowledge that it was not a love match at all. And it’s also common knowledge that it’s Always The Spouse™️.

But when it comes out that the investigators are closing in on the widow Skywalker and are planning to pin the murder on him because his alibi is the shakiest, the vicar cannot stay silent any longer. He must come clean.

Oh, not about the murder. He has no idea about who murdered Palpatine. But it definitely wasn’t Anakin! On the night of the murder, Mr. Skywalker was with Obi-Wan. In the chapel. Yes. At midnight. Alone.

Entry of the Gladiators: 2

Chapter 2: They Fucked Up

A plan is made. The plan is not very good. They cannot exit the plan. Heck.

Obi-Wan does his best to focus on the problem at hand, rather than the… choice of decorum that Anakin is exhibiting.

His former padawan is sitting on the floor, legs crossed, and eating from a bag of vegetable chips that he’s scavenged from the warlord’s refrigerator. Ahsoka sits next to him, and is intermittently trying to steal some.

She really shouldn’t. As much as a Togruta does need some vegetables in their system, Obi-Wan’s willing to take Anakin’s word for it that these are liable to upset Ahsoka’s stomach if she has more than one or two. Something about the type of oil that was used. If Anakin’s way of enforcing that limit is to insist that Ahsoka can only have some if she can successfully steal them… well, so be it.

“Count Dooku isn’t a Sith yet, correct?” Cody asks. He and Rex are still wearing their helmets and the rest of their armor. Obi-Wan’s pretty sure they’re monitoring possible threats from the warlord’s court, somehow, but he isn’t sure what method they’re using. Most likely, Anakin patched them into the existing security system.

Obi-Wan drags himself back to the moment. Sith. Right. “He isn’t even a Count, yet. He’s a Jedi. It’s still another five years, at least, before he leaves the Order.”

“So probably not a Sith,” Cody prompts.

“No, probably not a Sith.”

“And whoever taught him is probably the same person who taught Maul?” Anakin asks.

Obi-Wan shrugs. “If we assume the Rule of Two… I don’t know that we ever confirmed if Ventress counted towards that number, but regardless of either, there must be someone to have taught Maul.”

“How old would Maul be now?” Ahsoka asks.

“Mid-teens?” Obi-Wan hazards. “He’s… I think he’s younger than me, but I can’t be sure.”

Cody makes a small noise. “And your local self, Sir?”

“Eighteen,” Obi-Wan says. He glances at the screen again, just to check the date, and yes, it’s after his birthday. “Yes, eighteen. If Master Jinn and my younger self haven’t finished up with the mission to Mandalore yet, we will soon. I can’t honestly say I remember which month it ended, let alone which day.”

Anakin snorts. It might even be a snicker. Obi-Wan does the mature thing, and ignores him.

“So, there are at least two Sith, one of which is Maul and the other of which is his teacher,” Rex summarizes. “We need to know who the teacher is, in order to do anything about them before war breaks out.”

Obi-Wan rubs at his forehead. “The only leads we have are Maul and Dooku, and we have no idea when the Sith Master approached Dooku. We’d have to tail him indefinitely to know. If it was something like Qui-Gon’s death that pushed him to the dark, we might avoid it entirely.”

“Probably isn’t,” Anakin says, and only then swallows the mouthful of chips. That boy. “You said he was the name on the Kamino project contract, right? According to Fett?”

“Whose word we can’t really trust,” Obi-Wan points out. He glances at Rex and Cody. “Unless you have other information?”

They both shake their heads. “Financial espionage wasn’t ever on our list of duties,” Rex says, almost apologetic.

“Then we’re down to Maul and the hint that Dooku provided when I met him on Geonosis, which might well have been a lie in the first place,” Obi-Wan says, “so really, we’re down to Maul.”

“What lie, Master?” Ahsoka asks.

“He claimed that his master, that a Sith was in the Senate,” Obi-Wan tells her. “We, that is, the Council, tried to follow up on it, just in case, but the war took up too much time and we couldn’t find anything. The Chancellor had us call off the investigation after a few months. Unless we had new information come in, we were to focus on the war effort instead of the wild nuna chase that Dooku had sent us on.”

Anakin’s making a face. Obi-Wan tenses, ready for some comment or other about the Chancellor, but his padawan just heaves a heavy sigh. “So our only option is to either find Maul or wait for Dooku to get tapped?”

“No way to draw them out?” Cody asks. “Perhaps someone at the temple might have a plan.”

It’s true, but Obi-Wan’s gut lurches at the idea of going to the Temple. It’s like a hook through his abdomen, not truly painful, but… awfully discomforting.

Anakin and Ahsoka look just as sick as he does.

“…sir?” Cody prompts, hesitant in the way he usually isn’t. “Is there a problem with the Temple?”

“Yes,” Obi-Wan says. “I don’t know what, but… yes.”

“The Force is more insistent on that than most things,” Anakin says, grimacing. “Ugh. I’m going to be sick.”

HEADCANONS NOW

Okay so, basically, the Republic’s circus (idk) is being funded by a wealthy man named Sheev Palpatine. Secretly, Palpatine is not only funding, but in charge of the Separatists’ circus.

Most droids are in the Circus au, usually either horses, dogs or occasionally cats.

A man named Jango Fett had a very large family with lots of sons and cousins and one daughter. No one knows why there are so many boys.

All the family apart from Jango and the youngest generation died, and then so did Jango, leaving them all orphaned. At that time, the circus was coming through their town, so many of them joined.

Most circus members are orphans or runaways.

Luminara and Barriss are probably very distantly related, same with Shaak and Ahsoka.

Younger circus members are apprenticed to older members.

Qui-Gon was killed by a criminal on the run named Maul, who had actually been part of the Separatist circus. He killed Qui-Gon because he was guarding the money box.

A month before that, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan had found Anakin and his mother Shmi. Shmi was very broke and decided her son would have a better life with them.

Padme and the rest of the senate are basically just wealthy people.

Padme and Anakin met two weeks after Qui-Gon adopted him. They meet up whenever they can. The relationship is sort-of-forbidden, very frowned upon because the wealthy people like the circus for entertainment and then think the people are poor and peasants.

Everyone in the circus knows Padme and Anakin are dating, even though they think no one knows. It’s very obvious.

If the Separatists and the Republic are in the same area, fights often break out. People sometimes die, but its more common for people to get seriously injured and leave the circus.

The Separatists kidnapped Echo as a hostage and everyone thought he ran away but some new Jango-spawn members to the circus, Fives, Rex, Anakin and Ahsoka found him and brought him back.

Ahsoka left the circus at one point for a month after being accused of a robbery the Separatists committed but returned quickly.

Some of the Jango-spawn (Fox, Thorn, Thire, etc) work for Palpatine as his guards, cause he’s a rich bitch.

Some members - if not orphans or runaways - like Anakin were simply given over in hopes of a better life. Ahsoka was one of these, also because her parents feared they weren’t good enough at being parents when she was taken by a mountain lion.

Ahsoka and Shaak come from an Indigenous tribe, and their teeth are more pointed and they still have their fangs. They hunt deer mostly, and cook it over the fire to eat. Their tribe are called Togrutas.

Obi-Wan was an orphan and found by Mace, who took him back to the Circus.

Obi-Wan and Anakin have an acrobatics act, whilst Ahsoka does Equestrian Vaulting. Rex and Cody play music. Jesse, Fives and Hardcase have a comedy act. After the show, a lot of the members busk to get extra money.

Fives and Ahsoka were messing around one day when they stumbled upon the Separatists camp. They were looking around when they saw Palpatine. They rushed back and told Yoda that they were being played.

Yoda cut the deal with Palpatine and made a deal with Bail Organa instead. It later turned out Palpatine was a wanted criminal, and he was sentenced to a life-sentence in a prison far away.

Palpatine’s Guard split, either joining the Republic’s circus or choosing to guard Bail. Bail treated them much, much better.

Palpatine was also Mayor of the town, so when he was arrested, Bail took his place. Bail made it legal for the circus to marry the richer folk, claiming it was foolish and unkind, for no reason. Secretly, he knew of Padme and Anakin’s relationship, and wanted his best friend to be happy.

A few months later, Padme gave birth to twins. The Circus was still travelling, so Padme convinced Obi-Wan, Ahsoka and Anakin to live at her house part-time. When the circus was close, they lived with the circus. When it was far away, they usually stayed with Padme. Ahsoka managed to convince Rex to do the same.

Anakin revealed that Palpatine had tried to get him to join the Separatists' circus before Fives and Ahsoka had discovered the betrayal. Palpatine had told him he controlled both, and that he would have more money and be closer to Padme if he joined them. However, Anakin hadn’t turned, as he loved his family too much.

No but seriously I cannot get the idea of the clones as space cowboys out of my head.

So here's an idea I have to continue the saga of Cal Kestis and the clones.

After the clone wars end, the nightmare doesn't fully end for the clones. They don't have any rights, they're not considered citizens, they only have each other as a people, and public opinion of them isn't very high.

Mandalore doesn't want them. They're not welcome on many planets, despite the clones giving everything to protect them.

Sure Palpatine is dead, order 66 has been stopped in its tracks. And the jedi order, while dealing with horrendous public opinion, still stands.

But then there's the Koboh system, largely unexplored and uninhabited except by a few prospectors and raiders. As long as you contribute, you're welcome there.

So what do many clones do? They move to Koboh.

Obi-Wan and Cody take Cal (12 years old at that point) and bring him to Koboh. Several members of the 212th like Waxer, Boil, and Wooley went with them. Along with the bad batch (hunter, crosshair, tech, wrecker, echo, and 12 year old Omega), Fives (because he's not leaving his Podtwin Echo), Jango & Boba Fett, Bly & Aayla Secura, Shaak Ti and several cadets of varying ages, Plo Koon and his wolf pack, Commander Mayday, and Greez Dritus.

Together with Doma they build the Ramblers Reach outpost to a lively little town where the community thrives.

Meanwhile Fox escapes to Alderaan with his corrie brothers. And he gets to live out his life with the Organas and their adopted daughter, who calls Fox buir.

Rex lives his life on Naboo, aiding Padmé in the fight for clone rights in the senate and setting up a system where he finds suitable planets for his vods to inhabit.

Anakin and Padmé are still married, they live on Naboo with the twins, Luke & Leia, and with Ahsoka. Who is adopted into the family as Anakin's little sister. Anakin never goes Darkside.

Meanwhile Cal, Boba, and Omega live out there best lives on Koboh creating mayhem and being around so many of their bavodu'e. The sheer chaos these three can create is known planet wide.

Obi-Wan and Cody enjoy their married life. Cody, along with several ex commanders and Crosshair have taken the responsibility of town protection on them.

Hunter hunts with Mosey when he can.

Wrecker watches the gremlin triplets, which doesn't really work because they rope him into things. But it's still better than when Fives watches them. We do not talk about the Rancor incident.

Bly & Aayla marry and have a few children of their own.

And that's what I have for now..it's almost 2 am, I need sleep.

procrastinating school work so let me talk about my starwars (Anakin) aus

There's that lion!Vader Au, if I named it I don't remember the name but basically, either Anakin doesn't tell Padme where he's going or she doesn't go to Mustafar. might actually have R2D2 with Padme as her bodyguard or Anakin just didn't want r2 to know what he did to the separatist leaders. anakin doesn't come back from Mustafar because when he leaves the planet, the force decides 'okay, enough atrocities for the next... two decades.' and transforms him into a lion and sends him to a green planet. Sidious finds him a year later and decides to just build a gladiator ring and throw him in there to execute the people he wants dead on television.

19 years later Luke, Leia, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Padme, Cody, and Rex all get captured and are sentenced to be executed as a group with some other non-important people. Anakin eats the non-important people and vaguely recognizes some but tries to kill Luke and Leia because he doesn't recognize them.

SITS au - sith in the senate au - me trying to explore my favorite arc (mortis) and what would have happened if Anakin left with the son (and the daughter) and the father let Ahsoka and Obi-wan go thirty minutes later but Anakin is nowhere in sight when they go back to the real world. this is also the au where the Tusken massacre is really addressed in this au, in others it didn't happen, obviously in lion!vader it did since it only changes in rots. i don't know if it's really a character study that I'm doing for this au but I'm actually writing an essay on Anakin for my writing class and I'm so using elements from this for that and from that for this.

(please- someone stop me from making Barriss run away from the Jedi and Anakin adopting Barriss after she ends up on Tatooine and Anakin gets over his initial feeling of 'YOU D:<')

anakin gets found by Palpatine and Shimi (is that how you spell it? it doesn't look right) dies (i think) but surely its not you Pal Friendpatine's fault :0

Anyway, Palpatine finds Anakin at like... 5 and adopts him and brings him on his path to becoming chancellor and then the clone wars start at the Naboo blockade, Palpatine started cloning **early**. no, I have no idea how old Jango Fett is, why do you ask? anakin befriends some of the clones and takes an interest in politics because he thinks he can convince then senate to stop creating clones and just recruit normal civilians to the army.

this au is inspired by Hazbin Hotel song 'you didn't know' and some brave group of clones tries to plead their case to the senate, ankin watches in on it, nala se mentions the chips in the kaminoan rebuttal of clone rights and Anakin FREAKS. palpatine tries to calm him saying 'they are to control them, they're dangerous otherwise' and basically dooms himself. also, Anakin specifically has wings. see, I subscribe to the thinking of 'Anakin can shapeshift due to his unstable DNA' I read about in in a fanfic on a03 somewhere and despite me spending twenty minutes to try and find it using various tags, I could not. anakin leaves taking a majority of the coruscant guard with him and goes back to Tatooine and starts freeing a whole bunch of planets over the years. the meeting in the senate takes place when he is fourteen, the empire starts when he is seventeen. Anakin adopts Boba and Galen Marek. anakin and the freed outer rim either hide rebel bases or use their revolutions as distractions for the empire.

Retconned rebel Anakin Au. aka, Barriss is the same age as Anakin and befriends him and Ferus eventually befriends him, and Anakin is closer to those two and some others than Obi-wan and Ahsoka (who is Obi-wan's padawan) Barriss never bombs the temple, the empire rises but the original empire dies like a year into the reign and another emperor rises.... Emperor Obi-wan Kenobi and his daughter Ahsoka how are both overly attached to rebel leader Anakin Skywalker and are both trying to adopt him and turn him to their side... by kidnapping Anakin's family. (rexanidala). anakin adopts so many kids, most of them are force-sensitive and want to fight so he lets them reluctantly but those not young enough to choose or fight are sent to live with Rex, Padme, Luke, Leia, and their grandparents; Dooku and Plo.

Ventress and Anakin Swap au, sort of. anakin got nabbed from his mom by Dooku. Dooku never found Ventress, Obi-wan does instead. Obi does not train Ventress but they are friends forever after. ventress tries forcefully redeeming the seventeen-eighteen year old Sith lord and it only sort of works. he defects but really only after he finds out about the slavery in creating battle droids. Anakin isn't really a separatist general, he just has a specialized group of droids that he rebuilds after fights with Jedi. he never fights clones with droids.

after defecting Anakin plans with Ventress and decides to free the outer rim then take the former slaves that will join him and start up a third party to the war. inspired by 'blood oath' by the art of pleasing princes.

okay so for this next au, named Anakin Umakkar, The rain storm. sources are ADragonsFriend and @fialleril or fialleril on a03, and @clawedandcute or ClawedandCute (Adi_Fire) on a03. and songs this au is inspired by for this au is (and in order) Puppeteer, Done For, Hell is Forever, There are Other Ways, What Did I Miss? and Respectless.

Umakkar was a name I first read about in a book called 'Elder sisters' by ADragonsFriend. I first heard about Ekkreth in Fialleril's books. the concept of Anakin staying on Tatooine was inspired by ClawedandCute's book and au 'The Accidental Sith'

Anyway, Qui-gon and the queen's ship never stops on Tatooine, but the clone wars do not start early. a solid two months into the Clone Wars, it is revealed that Jabba the Hutt has been dead for a year, and Tatooine has freed itself from the huts. Senator Padme Amidala and Jedi Obi-wan Kenobi (and Padawan Ahsoka Tano) are sent to Tatooine to try to get Tatooine to align with the republic. now please listen to Puppeteer and Done For (no, Anakin does not turn any clones into pigs, just like any non-clone serving in the army ). once Obi-wan draws his lightsaber on Anakin, Anakin just swipes it away, unhurt, and has him and other... three (Cody, Padme, and Ahsoka)locked up until he decided to hear them out. (cue hell is forever, the last lines being, "the freed outer rim has found both the separatists and the republic to be the enemy" ya know due to their armies) then when it looks like Anakin is gonna do something to them to send a message to the republic, Obi-wan pleads with him and mentions the Sith Dooku mentioned and any evil smile on Anakin's face slips away into annoyance "Sidious, huh?" and in 'There are other ways' fashion tells obi-wan about Mortis and other wells in the force that might be better for the Jedi to focus at. when asked why he had that reaction to the 'Sidious' character, he implies that Sidious has reached out to him to join either side of the war, like once per side.

he sends Obi-Wan and the Clones that want to return on their way and a year later decides that enough is enough and heads to Coruscant under the pretense of negotiating. palpatine sets up a committee to welcome Tatooine to the republic only for 'respectless' to happen and Anakin starts arguing with Orn Free Taa, then Palpatine himself and once Palpatine leaves, turns to the Jedi in the room and says "yeah, you might want to look into that..." and leaves.

Detached Mortis god au: inspired by the ocean saga

switching up the timeline here, Rako Hardeen happens, the Wrong Jedi arc happens, *Then* mortis happens. Anakin is alone on Mortis, he decides to stay, Padme is pregnant, the empire rises, Padme survives and joins the rebellion, Ahsoka becomes Fulcrum. Obi-wan joins the rebellion to help train Luke and Leia. Luke, Leia, Han, Ezra and some others start on a mission, but it starts off rough. Ezra decides to pray to a Force Diety he or Ahsoka met once and the diety appears and decides to grant them safe passage to the actual start of the mission as long as they keep Ahsoka, who they meet up with later on the mission, safe. if they accept and fail, another god is going to have a really big problem with them. they accept and all goes well until the last day of the mission, everything falls apart and Ahsoka is separated from the group and captured. the gang decides they need to go back to base to think and plan. on their way back their ship is seemingly attacked but they cant tell by what, they crash land at base and get out of the ship, not the falcon, only to meet two dragon-like-creatures, and a portal opens and a very pissed Anakin steps out. he kidnaps a bunch of rebels and puts them in the world between worlds and tells them they only get their people back when Ahsoka is safe. Obi-Wan and Padme only make it to the hangar this goes down once Anakin has stepped back through the portal.

His brothers were basically like, "You could have chosen a better time, Fox."

Cody stares at the holo, his jaw slack, "Wolffe," he points numbly at the holo, where there is an image of Fox sitting in the Chancellor's chair in the senate, his PA standing at his shoulder.

"What the actual-?" Wolffe breathes, "Announcing the new Supreme Chancellor Fox Fett?!?!"

"We need to go see Fox," Cody says.

"Absolutely." Wolffe agrees.

The two men effortlessly push their way into the Chancellor's office, and stop dead in their tracks when they see Fox sitting at the desk with Palpatine's, or now his, PA sitting on the desk holding a datapad out for him to look at.

Fox looks up, annoyed. "What?"

"Supreme Chancellor?" Cody asks.

"Fett!?" Wolffe demands.

"He needed a sur-name!" You defend without looking up from your datapad, "And no one wanted me to be Chancellor."

"It's only until I can get some of these bullshit laws repealed." Fox grumbles.

Your head snaps up, "You could stay as the Emperor-"

"Absolutely not," Fox interrupts. And then he lightly kisses your wrist. "Is there anything else?"

the Boots AU thoughts

i’m going to bed but i’m going to start collecting modern au (codyboots. that might just become the name of it laksdjfkldsj) thoughts here:

to start off with a bang:

arla fett (jango’s canon(?) sister) is cody and rex’ mom. dealing with the fett family tree is always the worst part of any modern au so i’m taking full advantage of every minor character i can. unfortunately arla got used as a kyr’stad punching bag so dysfunctional family trauma time? (i hate saying that). Don’t ask who their dad is i got no idea. all you need to know is he Sux

2: cody and rex are fraternal twins because i feel like that’s their energy. no one actually knows who’s older of the two (it’s rex, but he will vehemently deny the fact)

3: echo and fives are their baby brother identical twins. there might be a brother older than cody and rex (gregor maybe??) so that Fives, the Youngest of the Bunch, is called fives because he’s the fifth brother

(alternatively echo and fives’ birthday is may 5th and fives was born at 5:55 am and arla just said “OKAY I GUESS HE’S FIVES NOW”)

4: jango has no effing clue his sister is alive, much less that she has FIVE SONS. Also boba is jango’s only child because i feel like that is critical to both jango and boba’s characters. handwaves the rest of the clones to be cousins or something. never go to a fett family reunion it’s hell

5: jango only discovers his sister’s family (she might’ve died already idk i don’t want to get depressing) when he goes to try and reclaim Ye Olde Family Farm only to find it occupado. cue angry jango until cody uses the singular braincell the whole family shares to put two and two together before slam-dunking boba to play with fives and echo

6: cody runs the farm. he does not own a single un-stained pair of jeans. (he is also, completely unwittingly, the clan patriarch. he’s twenty-three. how did this happen)

7: rex and anakin are schoolmates (uni? military? idk) and rex runs security for Senator Amidala. he has very nice jeans that cody is not at all jealous of

Concepts in case Disney randomly decides to put me in charge of a new Disney Infinity Star Wars line

Okay so obviously in terms of additional playable characters we need CLONES. The most logical options here are Rex, Cody, and the Bad Batch, including Omega. But what if we would go one step further and also add Fives? I dunno I just think he’s earned it ;-; And maybe Rebels-Era Wolffe and Gregor, cause old clones can be just as fierce

Speaking of Rebels era: it’s a deep disgrace that Hera isn’t a playable character yet, so of course she should be first choice. Additional characters that deserve to get a figure are Kallus and Thrawn, because both of them are simply awesome and both visually and in play appealing enough to get their own figures. The Grand Inquisitor could also be added

Additional Jedi: Mace Windu, Plo Koon, Shaak Ti and Kit Fisto

From the live action series and Rogue One: Din Djarin, Cassion Andor, Jyn Erso, Fennec Shand. I will literally die if Grogu becomes a playable character, imagine the cuteness overload

DROIDS DESERVE TO BE PLAYABLE CHARACTERS TOO!!! Obviously C-3PO and R2-D2, but I’d like to see BB-8, Chopper and K-2S0 as well

I don’t really have anyone from the sequel era because I’ve only seen those movies once, but I would vote for Klaud if only for the meme potential of recreating live slug reaction moments

Additional Clone Wars era characters: Cad Bane, Hondo, Dooku, Ventress, Padmé (in a travel outfit), Grievous, perhaps Bail Organa? Senators deserve more love and I dunno it just seems hilarious to me that you perform his special move and it’s just him pulling out a soapbox and holding an oration

Chancellor Palpatine as a playable character lol. Imagine playing as Palps and getting killed by Grievous, what a twist that would be

Lando Calrissian as a playable character, because he’s awesome and come on he was pretty much the only POC in the original trilogy, if anyone deserves to be a playable character it’s him

Playsets: a The Mandalorian/The Book Of Boba Fett playset, a Rebels playset, a Bad Batch playset. And of course additional ones for the trilogies and The Clone Wars are welcome as well

Circular power discs that change appearance: a disc for Chancellor Friendpatine that turns him into the Emperor, one for Echo that gives him back his ARC armour, one for Padmé that turns her into Queen Amidala, one for Kallus that gives him his Rebellion outfit, one for Ahsoka that turns her into her (post-)Rebels era self including the white lightsabers, one for Obi-Wan that turns him into his older Episode IV version. And maybe one for Din that removes his helmet 👀👀👀

Purple hexagonal power discs: featuring locations such as Coruscant, Tatooine, Hoth, Dagobah, Kamino, Scarif, and Lothal

Orange hexagonal power discs: featuring an AT-AT, an Imperial speeder bike, a Star Destroyer, a Separatist tank, the Ghost, etc.

Clone Wars Headcanon: A lost Fox

Cody knew the war affected the Vod’e, some more than others. He was no exception, nor was his batchmates.

He did what he could, making sure his brothers were fine and had the support they needed. He should have known that Fox would have hid his injuries

He should have known that Fox wouldn’t accept his help, not with how the relations were between the Corries and the GAR during the war

It was supposed to be the end: they were supposed to get their happy ending

Fox hadn’t commed him two weeks after the war ended and Cody was so busy trying to help displaced soldiers that he didn’t notice.

Two weeks turned into a month

A month turned into two

Two turned into half a year

The Jedi and Bail Organa as the new Chancellor helped will housing the soldiers and letting them start anew with jobs and even called in favors from several planets who were willing to help the Vod refugees

Many Vod left Coruscant to live on the different planets, finding new homes and starting new lives. Some kept as soldiers whether as policemen or bodyguards. Some even went the illegal route and took up bounty hunting, Ponds being one of them to keep an eye on Boba Fett

After all, Vod help Vod

Some went into baking and cooking, starting new businesses and a few went the entertainment route, helping write stories and starring in film and tv shows.

A couple were invited into the Jedi Council when they showed Force abilities, their biological age helping set the standards to be invited though most of the Jedi Council have elected to change certain rules not only to remove themselves from the senate but to improve themselves to avoid ever becoming a target for blind genocide

Rex stayed with Anakin helping with his children and through the divorce of him and Padme Amidala (who both agreed they were better off apart - Anakin needed to relearn who he was and where his morals lied and she had her own issues to work through)

Wolffe and his Wolfpack, with the help of Plo, began to teach at the Temple to show younglings, padawans and Jedi knights how to defend themselves more than with just a lightsaber and ways to escape when fighting isn’t the only option

Bly was able to court Aayla, them deciding it was best to see if they fit together past being in a war and Aayla showed him the Beauty of civilian life which he passed down to the Vod’e

Cody did his best helping so I-Wan, keeping him in check and ensuring he ate and slept and Obi-Wan did the same for him

It never crossed his mind to check on Fox until Thorn came to him, asking for help

He tried his best with the Corries but at the beginning, Thorn told him to leave it to the Corrie Commanders, asking for help when needed and taking time to rebuild the relations with Corrie and GaR

When Thorn came to him, he thought it was for another favor to reunite batchmates or another idea to have Corrie and GaR bonding sessions like the karaoke night and potluck

Not “I don’t know where Fox is” nonsense

Cody furrows his eyebrows, confusion rising at the statement. “Is he on a lunch break?”

Thorn sighs as though Cody was dumb for thinking Fox took breaks. Or maybe it was for thinking he meant that he hasn’t seen Fox that day

“I meant since three months ago.”

Cody’s fingers twitches. That long? Why wait that long to tell him? Thorn must have understood the expression on his face because he added, “ I thought he was helping you.” He didn’t shift in his feet but his mouth was twisted in a way to show his discomfort. “I was checking with every Commander and Vod I knew if they saw him, checking the outposts we gave to if he checked in.”

Cody understands now why he didn’t come. It would be embarrassing and even demeaning if Thorn asked before checking, causing a scene for Fox’ disappearance only to learn he just moved to Naboo or Hoth or Tatooine

It would be embarrassing for Fox, especially if he wanted to start anew and Cody understands Thorn’s reasoning

Despite it, he still hates it and wishes Thorn just asked even if it brought embarrassment

“Where was he when you last saw him?”

Thorn’s jaw tightens at his hard tone and Cody knows he shouldn’t be mad, not with the fact that he didn’t notice or even think to check in either

It’s just as much his fault as it is Thorn’s

“His office.” Thorn scoffs, annoyance leaking in his tone. “He hardly left it, swarmed with paperwork from all our work.”

It makes sense. Who else would ensure the Vod receives back pay and citizenship and verification for the outpost and jobs and other documents that Cody had no doubt was needed to ensure smooth transitioning.

“He’s smart,” Thorn adds when Cody looks to his comm, sending an alert in the Command chat. “Got several droids to automate the work so nothing was left undone.”

It explains why everything was running so smoothly and quickly. Droids were quicker than a person could be when it came to paperwork.

“We’ll find him,” Cody assures and Thorn doesn’t quite believe him. Not with the way he keeps staring at the Marshall Commander. “What?” He snaps.

Thorn’s eyes quickly flicker to his armor, the small fox and wolf, yelllow paint and tiny blue Jaig eyes littering his vambraces.

“He was reconned before the end of the war.”

Cody closed his eyes, wishing he never heard the words spoken out of Thorn’s mouth. Grief pounds his heart as he thinks of how much he failed Fox during the war.

“What are you telling me this?”

Thorn’s eyes are hard, his face unreadable once more. His eyes flicker back down to the vambrace which Cody now knows is him staring at the comm.

“He hardly remembered me after each recon,” and don’t those words hit Cody in the chest like a heavy hammer. How often was Fox sent to be reconned like some…some defective clone? “I don’t think he remembers you as…”

As what? Cody wants to snarl but Thorn’s lips twist again, a mocking smile to his face. The joke he thinks is no doubt unfunny and Cody understands again why the Corries weren’t liked during the war

It’s not until later that he actual wonders: did Thorn come to him to actually inform him of Fox’s disappearance or because he needed help tracking his brother down?

“I’ll find him,” Cody promises as though he knows he can save Fox from wherever he ended up. A sigh escapes Thorn’s nose like a bitter, almost there laugh and Cody wishes no sooner that he could punch the man. He will find Fox because that’s what batchmates are for

Cody wonders later that night how long Thorn would have kept hidden Fox’ disappearance if he had nothing to worry about?

Obi-Wan Noncon Fic Recs

Note: To save space, I have eliminated non-summary parts of author's summaries.

Here’s my current accumulation of some really worthwhile fics in which Obi-Wan experiences or recovers from noncon! :) I’m still working my way through the noncon tag and fics are posted all the time—so I’m sure I’ll make another post on this subject. I've separated the fics into categories, but to start off, here are some fics that didn't really warrant their own categories:

The Land of My Father by Anonymous

The Fett compound sits tucked at the foothills of the Mesra Mountain Range, where water from the heights trickles down and makes for plentiful moisture farming. The harsh life of running the farm under the strict eyes of their father, Jango, is all Cody and his brothers have known, but as his father employs increasingly dubious means to ensure the profit and security of the prized Fett land, Cody is forced to reckon with himself and the parts of him he is willing to sacrifice for his family. Or, a Tatooine AU: pure, self-indulgent whump.

It’s unclear how much is just canon-divergent and how much is an AU, but Cody and some of his brothers (i.e. Wolffe, Bly, & Boba) are being raised by their dad, Jango Fett, on a farm on Tatooine. Jango expects Cody to inherit the farm. To prove his competence, Jango purchases Cody a slave to train, the slave being Obi-Wan Kenobi. Cody slowly starts to find he can’t please both his own moral code, his younger brothers’ dependence on him, and Jango Fett at once. The prose is so intense and visceral and vivid—it will suck you in. Note that there’s no on-page noncon yet, but I can feel it coming.

Would You Please Spare Me Tonight, part 1 of the series I Can Take a Little Bit More by WorkingChemistry

Obi Wan’s body is sore when he returns to their rooms, and Anakin’s hard work has been smudged beyond repair. On these nights, Anakin always waits in his own room while Obi Wan limps in and waits for the ‘fresher door to slide shut. While Obi Wan washes away the evidence of the senate’s activities from his body, Anakin brews tea for them to share.

This fic does a nice job setting up the universe of the Ruusan Reformation AU, in which Jedi vowed to obey all Senator commands a thousand years ago, including granting any sexual favors that are requested of them. Obi-Wan and his young Padawan Anakin go through their ritual before and after Obi-Wan is summoned to fulfill such a request. The tenderness inherent in this fic is so rewarding.

And so I Tread the Only Road, part 2 of the series I Can Take a Little Bit More by WorkingChemistry

Lie back and think of The Republic. Obi Wan imagines the collective relief in the force once this bill passes. He imagines the gratitude of his fellow Jedi charged with the protection of a youngling. He imagines the moment the crèche masters are informed that their initiates will be safe for just a little longer than they dared to hope. He imagines— From across the stars I have heard your call

This is a sequel to the above fic, set in the Ruusan Reformation AU previously described. This fic is a little more graphic, but continues the same general vibe of Obi-Wan seeking solace in a young Anakin after he offers a sexual favor to protect Padawans from such requests. The cadence to this author’s writing is beautifully rhythmic, and it is so very tender/gentle in the recovery.

Kadavo Era

These are fics in which Obi-Wan experienced noncon during the Zygerria/Kadavo arc.

Things Hidden, Things Forgotten by sopses

The Zygerrians have many ways of breaking their slaves. Trapped in the mines of Kadavo, all Obi-Wan can do is take it.

In this fic, Keeper Arguss forces Obi-Wan to make a choice to offer himself sexually during his imprisonment on Kadavo. Afterward, Rex helps him get through it. From there, the fic becomes recovery, particularly from holocalls from Cody, while Obi-Wan waits for the 212th to arrive. This is probably my favorite post-Kadavo fic ever written. You can feel Obi-Wan hanging on by a thread, and it’s blessedly heartbreaking (and gentle). Also, the scene in chapter 2 between Rex and Obi-Wan was astoundingly well done and very unique.

The days on Kadavo were long, but the nights moved quickly. Hundreds of pairs of wide, sleepless eyes haunted the space of the holding cells. Droves of terror clogged the heavy, sweaty air, and every sound, however faint, was like a physical ripple across the crowd. Every sound. The jingling of keys, the clicking of locks, the thudding of boots, and that’s how the nights on Kadavo started—with a gradual increase in the degree of quiet. OR—during the mass casualty event following Kadavo and Zygerria, Obi-Wan and Anakin seek ways to cope with trauma.

This is my fic! Obi-Wan decides to prioritize handling the mass casualty event presented by fifty thousand displaced and injured Togruta. He neglects his physical and mental health up until it catches up with him, but luckily his loved ones are there for him.

"Remember what you promised me." Obi-Wan's fingers were dirty with dried blood and grime, yet Rex didn't flinch as the Jedi Master clutched his sleeve. "I'll keep my word," he therefore replied. "Albeit under protest. The guards deserve to be punished for what they have done to you." "You know Anakin. He wouldn't stop at bringing them to justice," Obi-Wan countered forcefully, tightening his grip on Rex. "If he knew, he would slaughter them one by one until none of them were left alive. No, that must not happen. Never, do you understand, Rex?" No matter how much Obi-Wan had suffered, revenge was never the Jedi way. Obi-Wan would never forgive himself if he, of all people, was the reason Anakin fell.

This fic is a brief conversation between Rex and Obi-Wan about the noncon experience Obi-Wan had on Kadavo and the promises that they made to each other. There is no on-page noncon and the recovery period is very brief, but the writing is wonderful enough that I wanted to include it anyway

I cannot describe this fic better than its summary, haha. I cannot. Please understand that this fic really is that good and very realistically done. It’s probably my favorite fic of its kind.

Months after the Rako Hardeen incident, the Council sends two of their best generals together on a mission meant to repair their damaged friendship. Luckily, Anakin and Obi-Wan will have a lot of time to do just that while imprisoned on a planet in the outer rim with no one but each other for company.

My fic again! Obi-Wan & Anakin get captured by some unknown person who locks them in a room and pimps them out to passerby scum. Between noncons, they work out their differences, try not to lose their minds, and attempt to be free of their cell.

The stormtroopers aren't going to let the farmer from Tawl get away that easily. They're going to capture him; they're going to turn him into the Inquisitors; they're going to collect their reward. But they're going to enjoy him first.

In an episode of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, Tala makes her first appearance and intervenes before Obi-Wan and Leia are in any real danger from the stormtroopers. In this fic, the stormtroopers capture Obi-Wan and Leia instead. In truth, parts of this fic do veer into kinks that I’m not sure I share (no judgment, of course XD), so be mindful of the tags and warnings. However, overall, this fic is realistically done and very emotionally compelling.

Vader’s Revenge

These are fics after Order 66 in which Obi-Wan experiences noncon as a result of Anakin’s revenge as a Sith.

Second Chances by crookedassembly

Anakin finds Obi-Wan in his self-imposed exile on Tatooine and takes him back to Coruscant with him. Set post-Revenge of the Sith.

My favorite thing about this fic is its tags, specifically “Anakin just wants to be loved” and “don’t do this if you want to be loved,” hahaha. Though the fic is abandoned, the writing is incredibly evocative. In the Vader era, Anakin, who has recently murdered Palpatine and become the new Emperor after receiving enough medical care to recover his suitless body, finds out about Luke and captures him in order to lure Obi-Wan into his clutches. Obi-Wan is trying to care for Luke, despite his father’s toxic interference, while also denying Anakin’s creepy sexual (and generally creepy) advances. Very much a Beauty & the Beast style story, except Anakin has serious problems lol. Don’t do this if you want to be loved.

"I won't break," he says after the moment stretches between the both of you. You look down at him, taller even now, and let the dark mangled hate inside writhe. It's like oil, seeping over your skin and clogging your airways. You let it— let it consume you as you remember every way this man has failed you. "I don't need you to," you reply. He's here in your fortress. You don't need anything else from him; you've already won. Order 66 happens differently. The Jedi are are kept as frozen trophies of the Empire— Obi-Wan is no exception.

The premise here is in the summary. After Order 66, the Jedi are kept frozen in cryogenics. Every once in a while, Vader likes to take Obi-Wan out of his cryogenic chamber, wake him up, and scare the shit out of him. There is no actual rape in this fic, but there is creepy touching in a way that I felt merited inclusion.

Decisions, Decisions (and all of them wrong) by sockpuppet_my_sockpuppet

Lord Vader has requested CC-2224 to come to his private chambers. It all goes downhill from there.

This is your classic fic where Vader uses the clone obedience chip in order to assault Obi-Wan via command of Cody. Exactly what it sounds like, and a true treat.

Irremediable Appetites by passeridae

Obi-Wan is captured, and fears the worst — that he will be tortured, or killed, or used as bait to lure someone else to their doom. The reality is worse than even that.

I’m not sure I want to spoil the surprise for y’all because the nature of the whump gave me the actual chills, holy fuck (watch those tags if needed)... but basically Vader requires a certain kind of sustenance in order to maintain his evil Sith powers. Obi-Wan is very much unwilling to provide. Yikes. Haunting as fuck.

Palpatine Variance

This is a subcategory of Vader's Revenge for fics that are basically the same in essence except the assailant is Palpatine, not Vader.

Even As by LuvEwan

The battle on Mustafar ends differently. Obi-Wan is taken prisoner by the Sith.

This is a fic where Obi-Wan is Palpatine’s torture plaything, and Anakin tries (and fails) to deal with it. Even when Anakin puts a stop to things, however, his skewed and terrible priorities remain unchanged; thus, leading to a wonderfully tragic ending—though the ambiguity will allow you to think up whatever ending you would like. Not only is the characterization brilliant, but the prose in this fic is absolutely gorgeous. Just FYI, the author tagged it as Obikin, but I don’t remember any that wasn’t under the lens of unreliable narration.

Apparitions Gone Awry by Fuinixe, a fan continuation of Even As

Palpatine is dead and Obi-Wan is free. That means everything should be better. Right?

Right?

Heartbroken by LuvEwan’s tragic ending in the above fic, a fan wrote a continuation in which Anakin frees Obi-Wan from the empire, and they go off to live elsewhere. I don’t think there is an author on the planet who could seamlessly bridge LuvEwan’s characterization/prose in a continuation, but Fuinixe does an incredible job. For people who need a happy ending, this fic overwrites the ambiguity of its predecessor and delivers the ending we were left hoping for.

Pre-Order 66 Variants

This is a subcategory of Vader's Revenge, for fics that fit into the above except for the fact that they happened prior to Order 66.

Obi-Wan has gone undercover as a Sith to find out who Dooku's Master is. Too bad he didn't tell Anakin. Rako Hardeen Arc (or a similar style mission), but rather than faking his death, Obi-Wan fakes a fall to the Dark Side for the mission. In his distress, Anakin falls (for real) and follows after his Master to find and rejoin with him.

Pretty much summed up in the summary—for the Hardeen arc, Obi-Wan doesn’t fake his death but rather fakes his Fall to the dark side. In an attempt to rescue him, Anakin ends up falling. When he finds out the truth of Obi-Wan’s deception, he gets… well, mad. The build-up to the noncon was interesting enough, but what I really enjoyed was the noncon itself. It felt very heartbreaking and raw.

Different ( The Bad Batch x OC) Ch.2

A/N: HAPPY MAY 4th!!! I know this isn’t my most popular fic, but it brings me joy. I hope you all have a happy and safe Star Wars day and pleasant dreams of your comfort characters.

Warnings: Bullying, and mass disrespect.

Summary: After being caught by the Republic for attempting to steal from various senators Tessa is given a unique prison sentence. This leads to her being forced into various rotations throughout the GAR, but due to her personality not many of the clones like her. Now she has one last chance to prove she’s not difficult to work with, but the squad she is assigned to isn’t what she expected.

Ch.1

All too soon morning came and neither party was exactly thrilled about the situation. Tessa had gotten there earlier than anyone else did, which usually was frowned upon because many thought she would try to steal any information she could. So she called two guards informing them that she was coming early which then caused them to give her the usual speech of stay quiet and stay where the security cameras can see her. She always replied with a “ You guys are no fun.” Every single rotation and every single briefing she was told this, except for if the troopers liked her or found her tolerable.

After waiting ten minutes the troopers from Clone Force 99 came in. Tessa already was able to get a feel for them by the way they each walked in and what they looked like. The most obvious is that if she didn’t know better she wouldn’t think that they were Clones. She had read up about Jango Fett, the base of all the clones, and would have thought that these guys were related to him. Not as the cloned soldiers they were. She debated on whether or not to make eye contact with them. Usually when she tried with others they didn’t give it a second thought but she didn’t want them to feel like she was staring.

She then decided to look around at nothing in particular and then look at them every once in a while. She didn’t know why she felt nervous, she had met and fought with so many troopers that this shouldn’t be any different. Tessa got out her data pad and started looking over the specifics of the first mission to avoid her spiraling thoughts. Maybe they were and maybe they weren’t looking at her but she still felt as though their eyes were on her. Funny thing about being caught and held prisoner, you will always feel like you are being watched.

The boys didn’t quite know what to make of her, all they knew was what Tech told them and that she is rarely what she appears to be. Her physical appearance could tell them very little about her. This girl was tall not necessarily taller than all of them but definitely as tall or taller than the regs. She was curvy, not what one would expect from the typical solider of the GAR, but who were they to judge. Long, dark brown hair that easily could’ve been mistaken for black. It was free flowing showing that it was well past her shoulders, she must tie it up during missions because it most definitely would be a hassle. What surprised them was that she had these large round glasses that weren’t too different from Techs goggles.

The personality of this girl who was in front of them wasn’t someone you could read easily. It’s one thing to hear about traits whilst reading reports, but it’s another thing to experience a person face to face. She seemed nervous and spratict as she looked around the room and quickly back at them. When she started reading her nerves seemed to calm. They couldn’t believe that this was the person who was going to be flying them around to missions. There was an awkward amount of silence between them until someone entered the room.

General Kenobi and Commander Cody entered the room. The boys immediately stood at attention, Tessa did as well just slower. She let out a sigh as they were greeted and the boys were introduced to her and told her predicament. She hated this part, luckily General Kenobi was a good man and the way that he presented her did not sound cold and uncaring. He made it sound as if she was actually there of her own will helping. Even though it was far from the truth, but it was at least the thought that count. As he finished she gave a nod of acknowledgment. The one known as Hunter did the same, the large one gave a smile, and the other two just gave her a quick glance.

The one with the gray hair was the easiest for her to read. He didn’t want to be there, he didn’t like this situation, and so far he definitely wasn’t going to like her regardless of the fact they haven’t truly spoken to each other yet. This let Tessa know that no matter what this was going to be a long rotation. People like him always made it harder for her to stay in her lane and follow the rules she was given. Not to say that she would do things on purpose to upset people, she just has an impulse problem when she’s upset.

Once the two men explained the first mission of her rotation it actually surprised her, it was an info grab and a destruction job. “ The facility is a new Sepratist model, so our schematics are incomplete. Once you get inside and past the outer layer, you’re on your own direction wise. Once you find their main computer get as many files as you can. That shouldn’t be too hard between Tessa and Tech.”Cody explained as you all looked at the man who was multitasking. Judging by the reflections in his goggles he was already looking at the blueprints, or the pieces of them. “ Once you have that I trust you boys can take care of the rest.” The larger one let out a chuckle. With the briefing now over they were dismissed that is all except the Sergeant.

She tried not to eavesdrop on the conversation as she headed out but couldn’t help it when she heard her name. “ I’m not saying this to put pressure on your squad or to put pressure on her.” Cody explained. “ Sir with all due respect we might not be the best squad to determine a persons life.” Hunter responded. “ She just… make sure she does what you need her to do and let me know immediately if something drastic happens. If this is to be her last few missions it would be a loss but an understandable one.”

“ LOSS!” Tessa shouted as she popped back in the room. “ Commander why did you decide to leave this information out! Especially if it concerns me!” Sighing and giving her a stern look Cody asked “ Where are the troops that were supposed to escort you?” She shook her head in anger and stomped back to her room. She didn’t care if she had her escorts or not or if she got in trouble for walking by herself. She felt like she was seeing red.

“ Tessa, stop!” Cody called after her. Finally catching up to her he stood in her path preventing her from walking away. “ Were you going to tell me?” She asked him. “ I was ordered not to.” He answered honestly. She rolled her eyes and sighed angrily as he continued “ I tried my best to hint at it yesterday.” “ You know how much I hate that. I hate when people don’t say what they mean! It’s confusing and I thought you were just reminding me of the rules. Not that I might actually be sent to prison after this rotation. That this is practically my last chance. You don’t think that is something you should’ve told me?! I thought we were at least… at least on the same page.” She said feeling defeated in her words.

They weren’t friends, she knew that. They couldn’t be, but she thought that Cody at least liked her. Maybe she was wrong. Deep down she knew that they were supposed to follow orders and that it was none of her business what he was told, but the principal of not telling her this information is what made her blood boil. “ I’m sorry.” Was all that Cody could say. Tessa then nodded as he placed a hand on her shoulder to guide her to where they could get her some escorts. The walk was quite as both were in thought after their argument.

Once her they found troopers to escort her while Cody went back to work, Tessa was quiet. No snarky remark that usually came from her, no teasing, nothing. She just walked to caf, acting like the prisoner she was supposed to be. They sat her down at her usual table, standing on either side, and she began to eat her tray that was already there. Her food didn’t seem appetizing at the moment, but she ate knowing she would need her strength. Tessa had a weird relationship with her nerves and food, most of the time she could out eat a bantha when she was upset. However there was the rare occasion like today where she would reluctantly eat.

The Bad Batch maneuvered themselves to their table as the finished getting their food in the caf. Luckily not many troopers were in there at the time, so any comments about them weren’t likely to be made. “ How long do we have until we have to go?” Wrecker said with his mouth full. “ Approximately 3 hours, 45 minutes, and 15 seconds.” Tech answered. “ Enough time for you to swallow your food before talking.” Crosshair sneared. Hunter ran a hand through the ends of his hair as he kept his thoughts to himself. He replayed his talk with Commander Cody in his head over and over again. This girls life was in their hands. Was she really that much trouble? He knew they were and he knew them breaking rules was way different than her breaking them, but still. The explanation of “ This may be her last rotation. She doesn’t know. She needs to figure out how to behave and be a good solider on her own. If she doesn’t do well with your squad, her sentence will be forced to change.” played in his mind.

He didn’t know why it bothered him so much, but it did. He had only met this girl twice and barley introduced to her. Maybe it was the whole situation that caused him to feel like this, he needed to protect and worry about his brothers reaction to the slight change. They weren’t the most adaptable. “ Hey isn’t that the girl we’re workin’ with?” Wrecker asked pointing to the table behind them. The four looked over to see her slightly hunched over, her broad shoulders making her appear more spread out and her head in one of her hands. She was slowing pushing her food around making small designs as she ate. “ Why is she by herself?”

“ Wrecker she’s not like the rest of us. She probably has too.” Hunter explained to his brother. “ While there is no galactic law around it she most definitely would have similar ristrictuons that any prisoner would have. It’s surprising anyone else is aloud to be in her with her. Besides the troopers guarding her.” Tech explained. After a moment of thinking Wrecker stated “ I’m going to go sit with her.” “ What!?” The other three said in unison. He started to crumple up napkins around his spoon and Crosshair warned “ Whatever plan is going through that thick skull of yours needs to stop!” When Wrecker sets his mind on something there is almost no way you can stop him. He quickly threw his creation across the room and into the hall causing the trooper that were guarding her to leave.

“ We are going to go check that out do not leave and don’t move.” They ordered her. “ Where would I go?” She grumbled to herself. The batch kept their heads down and focused on their trays as the refs past them. When they were far enough Wrecker loudly whispered to his brothers “ My plan worked!” As he was about to stand Tech whispered “ Wrecker, you simply cannot just sit with her, there must be-“ “ Watch me.” He then stood up, tray in hand and walked over to Tessa’s table. Shaking his head Crosshair groaned “ He’s a dikut .”

Unwisely Tessa was not aware of her surroundings so she jump slightly when a large voice said “ Hi!” Her eyes widened in shock at the absolute unit of a man stood infront of her introduced himself “ I’m Wrecker. Guess we’re gonna be workin’ with ya.” As he sat down the table started to shift towards him as he steadied himself. “ Sorry.” He said as he noticed her reflexes quickly grabbed your full glass. “ It’s okay, but you can’t be here.” She said with a slight hurry in her tone. Scared that at any moment the trooper would come back. “ Why not?” He asked with a slight head tilt. Confused and caught of guard by the situation she responded “ I-I … I don’t know you just can’t.”

“ Well that’s dumb.” He said taking a bite of his food. She slowly dragged her tray back towards herself looking intently at it. Her long hair covered her face as her nerves worsened. She didn’t know if she or Wrecker would be in trouble if they had gotten caught. “ Why are you here? With me?” She asked him. “ You looked lonely. I know I wouldn’ like it if I had to sit by myself without my brothers.” Tessa looked up at him and melted at his sweet smile. It warmed her slightly hearing the sentiment, then the one she now knew and recognized as Hunter came up and said “ Wrecker you need to come back, I’m so sorry.” The last part being said to Tessa. “ No it’s okay, go.” Just then her guards came back.

“ Step away from the prisoner.” One said. “Or what?” Wrecker challenged. “ Or you will be removed from her by force. Now go back to where you were sitting.” Said the other. Taking a large stride towards them to appear even bigger than he was, Wrecker claimed “ Make me!” Hunter was about to jump in to try to ease the tension when all of a sudden he heard. “ Hey Wrecker.” The two brothers turned their heads towards Tessa as she spoke “ It’s alright, I’m fine. I’ll see you in a few hours okay?” There was this look of calm and understanding when she spoke. Wrecker nodded an “ Alright.” And Hunter walked next to him with a hand on his shoulder to comfort his brother. He understood that his intentions were good, but he also knew that it was a bad idea what he just did.

Tessa let out a deep breath as they walked away. She did not need a fight to be broken out because of her or involving her, especially right now. The two troopers had their blasters aimed at her. She knew they were always set to stun so having any clone aim their weapon at her became something she no longer feared. She looked between the two of them anc slowly sat back down.

When Hunter and Wrecker returned to the table Crosshair teased “ So how was she?” Wrecker sat down with a pout and said “ Cut it out Crosshair.” Not making eye contact with his brother. “ Wrecker, you must try to remember that she is not like us or the regs. The rules are very different for her.” Tech explained doing his best at comforting his brother. Hunter sat back down and rubbed his temple, and in that moment he and Tessa were thinking the same thing. This was going to be a very very long six missions.
