So I kinda got back into Beastars after rewatching season 1 while working on stuff, will soon start season 2 (and prolly try to finish getting all the volumes even tho am missing 16 volumes).

Of course I fell back into loving LouGoshi and now I kinda want to read some fanfic.

Does anyone have good LouGoshi rec? Preferably stories that are completed. Am not really picky either, as long as it's not heavy whump and/or bad ending imma prolly be into it. Maybe not 100k and kire words either i suppose, seeing how my brain struggles to focuse at times.

They are all from different fandoms and I genuinely love their works. I am not here to hate on anyone at all, simply here to bring attention to those creators I find worth reading. In fact I actually don't do negative commentary. (If I do, it's probably towards my life 😭)

This will be constantly edited if I find more creators that I loved within each fandoms. I'm sorry to all the creators I've probably bothered with this notification, if you want to be taken off this list then I will respect that and do so :))

@frogchiro - This creator is more likely known for the absolutely scrumptious CoD hybrid AUs. MY GOD EVERY SINGLE ONE OF HER AUs ARE JUST ON ANOTHER LEVEL. Ranging from Hacker girl!Reader to Baracks Bunny!Reader. (Octo König and Coyote Graves are personal faves of mine) (Her nsfw content is the most toe curling shit I've ever read)

@ghouljams - This creator is another known for their CoD AUs, only this time you may know them as the one who wrote the Cowboy and Medieval AUs. This person and @frogchiro actually got their inboxes mixed up a few times I believe, they're both really just that good, I clearly need pointers. (I honestly don't have much words because god do I eat their content up)

@wishesforyouo (previous account being: @puff0o0) - This lovely creator makes short but sweet CoD content, you may recognize her as the person who made the popular self-aware CoD AU. Definitely my cup of tea because I really like short reads from time to time. (Miss this AU, sweetie <3)

@blingblong55 - This creator loves to make me cry, idk why. I love her though, her nsfw content is also freaking delicious I can't even.

@xo-cod - This creator, I can't even begin. I just love their writing style, it's sweet, quite short and worth the read. (We also have the same name)

@lunarw0rks - This creator makes me wanna bang my head on a table with how good their Ghost content is.

@ceilidho - This creator I can't even begin to describe how fucking delicious the Ghost content is, idgaf if it's short (IT'S PERFECT). Like my god, how'd y'all come up with content that you do. I think she captures Ghost quite well in her writing.

@mistydeyes - This creator, my fucking god. Her content is so good especially the requests she gets. The overall vibe of her writing gives a specific aesthetic that I love so much and honestly their series is worth the freaking read. Series mentioned here, the writing style is so unique but captures the characters perfectly.

@wordstome - This creator made the GREATEST FUCKING FRIENDS TO LOVERS KÖNIG FANFIC I HAVE EVER READ. It was all just so perfect, the length, the pacing and the writing style is fucking incredible. God where'd y'all get the talent to write this, here's the link to said fanfic because I do not gatekeep.

@multifandomimagin3s - This creator and the amount of Rudy content, I AM EATING IT UP. What do y'all feed yourselves to write with this amount of quality? Like their depiction of Rudy (and of course the others) is just Chef's kiss. (Also idk why but this person seems familiar since I remember someone in Wattpad a long time ago who has the same user)

@lxvvie - This creator creates the best fucking characterization I've ever read, LIKE HELLO?! Horangi is so accurate and her version of König is too. I love it, I'm eating her content up.

@rustic-guitar-notes - This creator I wanted tag this Creator so bad on this creator list because I feel like they're so underappreciated and their works are so good, LIKE IT'S ALWAYS THE UNDERAPPRECIATED WORKS THAT ARE SO GOOD THEY MAKE YOU FEEL WHAT YOU NEED AND WANT TO FEEL.

@icarustypicalfall - This creator is mutuals with almost every single one of my fave mutuals and that's how I found them. MY GOD THE RUDY AND ALEJANDRO CONTENT?? I'M EATING THAT SHIT UP.

@skeletalgoats - This creator IS SO FREAKING UNDERATED, I FOUND MYSELF BINGING THIER WORKS AND IT IS SO GOOD AND YOU KNOW WHAT'S THE BEST THING? THEY HAVE MULTIPLE WORKS ON ROACH. Istg y'all, WE NEED MORE OF ROACH.

@ghosts-cyphera - This creator, HELLO MISS MA'AM? THE PS!GHOST AU?!?! SHE GOT ME THINKING OF IT ALL THE TIME NOW LIKE WHAT DOES SHE PUT IN HER WRITING TO MAKE IT SO GOOD. First of all I'm in love with her version of Ghost because he's just so fucking caring despite the sexual themes, SHE MANAGED TO MAKE A PORNSTAR AU WITH DOMESTIC AND ROMANTIC ASPECTS WITHOUT MAKING IT FEEL SHALLOW AND SUPERFICIAL, LIKE HOW? @drop-cherries - this creator brought me back on this list. You all must be saying "Lia you haven't updated this is so long, it must be some scrumptious ass work you've seen". DAMN WELL IT'S GOOD, got me in my feels and everything, needed that domestic life with Simon after so much nsfw content, I need breaks too y'all. Although I did like that one nsfw post earlier, if you saw that, no you didn't :). @elliesbelle - This creator is top of this list for a reason, their content is the most scrumptious, drama-filled fanfics I have ever read. And yes I'm referring to their series "Nobody Compares To You". I can't even begin to say how much I love this creator, if I wasn't broke then I'd would've already tipped them. I personally think she captures Ellie's personality well. I appreciate a writer who implements shit that happen in her life into her stories. (Despite that, the amount of things happening in their love life is also some complicated shit that I love hearing updates from. Love ya belle <3) Me reading the belle's fanfic at 3am knowing damn well I have school the next day

@lovelettersfromluna - This creator is another amazing writer and holy hell are her works so good, like the length and writing style is just perfect. It's so compact yet it's not too long, add me on your ma'am taglist, please 🥺 <3

@seattlesellie - This creator, I just love her writing style especially with the knight!Ellie fic. Not to mention all the Abby content <3

@callmelola111 - This creator is another person to go to when looking for top tier Ellie fanfics, definitely worth the read on her works.

@clemellie - This creator AND WRITING TLOU SMUT IS A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN OH MY GOD, first of all, the characterization of both Ellie and Abby are so top tier then there's the ungodly toe curling smut. She is worth the fucking read every time.

@papipedroo - This creator has made a a series on Joel Miller x Reader angst AND I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO SAY HOW GOOD IT WAS. THEY GOT ME CRYING AT 7 IN THE MORNING. I also adore the writing style and pacing, I genuinely could not wait for the next part because I NEED Joel to grovel. I DON'T EVEN CRUSH ON JOEL MILLER AND THEY GOT ME HOOKED SO BAD.

20 questions for fic writers

Thanks very much to @nocompromise-noregrets for the tag! This is always an interesting exercise and I haven't done it in a while.

1. How many works do you have on Ao3? 182, but a goodly subset of those are collections of very short works (drabbles, my beloveds!).

2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 137,372. I average around 700 words per ficlet (counting those that are collections of drabbles). I have only two works over 2,000 words -- one at barely 2,100 and one at 5,600 by dint of TRSB last summer.

3. What fandoms do you write for? Tolkien only. Mostly Silmarillion but occasionally Lord of the Rings, as well.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos? I'm splitting this by fandom because the older LoTR stuff has more kudos simply as a function of time.

For LoTR: Deep in the Ancient Forests of the World; Light a Little Fire in Me; I Do Not Grudge You the Game; Rash Words and Bitter Hopes; Sing, O Stone and Air. These are all Legolas/Gimli ficlets.

For Silm: When All Other Lights Go Out (the aforementioned TRSB Feanorian family drama); What We Make, Makes Us (Caranthir and Feanor); What Keeps Us Here (Celeborn and Thranduil); Still Plenty of Good in the World (Sam Gamgee fixes Feanor and Nerdanel); and It Is the Opinion of this Reviewer (Finrod critiques the research of his peers).

No method to the madness here, it seems. Some shippy, most not. Some angsty, some humorous, mostly canon compliant. Range of Silm characters. Interesting to see the variety, actually.

5. Do you respond to comments? Always. Usually within a few days. Comments are a great way to get to know other people in the fandom, and it's always a pleasure to see familiar names pop up. It's nice to know I have a bit of a following. But I also love seeing new people appear, and I welcome everything from a single emoji to a full blown rant. I reply to them all.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Only one? Impossible to choose. I love an angsty ending. Killing Fingon off is always a delight (like this, or this). Sending people off to their dooms (like this, or this) is another. Making them consider might-have-beens, too (like this, or this, or this).

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I do also like happy endings! I write many happy post-canon returns, to tie up all the loose ends. Also happy moments within canon, but you usually have to pretend you don't know what comes next (blame the Professor, not me). For LoTR, These Our Braided Lives has a very happy Gimleaf ending. For Silm, try In These Altered States, Rejoice.

8. Do you get hate on fics? Spitting over my shoulder on this one, but no. Even the people who don't agree with my takes on particular characters have always been polite. Thank you, kind readers!

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I don't write anything explicit. I'll read a wide variety but am more restrained in my writing. I've snuck a little bit into the mature range for a few things recently, but I prefer allusion and metaphor, really. It's the spirit of the intimacy that interests me, not so much the mechanics.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Nope. Canon compliant or canon adjacent always.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes, I've had a few requests. My Thranduil seems to be quite popular in other languages.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? I haven't but would be happy to explore the possibility.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? Can't pick just one. Legolas/Gimli, Glorfindel/Ecthelion, Maedhros/Fingon, Finrod/Edrahil. The much rarer Egalmoth/Rog. And I'm pleased to have originated the tag for Amrod/Aredhel. Spitfire fans, get on that! (thanks to chestnut_pod for the horrible, wonderful ship name)

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Not a WIP, even, just an idea that I've mentioned before: an AU in which Fingon, returning from Thangorodrim with Maedhros, can't hold onto him, and he falls from the eagle's back into Lake Mithrim. I won't write it, but I sure hope someone else will.

16. What are your writing strengths? Brevity, ha! Condensing a great deal of emotional development into very few words. Figurative language. Ripping your heart out and stomping on it, tidily.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Dialogue. I don't write much of it, and it takes a long time to get it right.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I'm not likely to do so. I don't like the way it interrupts the flow. I'd rather indicate the language that is being spoken than try to craft compelling dialogue in it. This is especially fraught in the Tolkien fandoms, where the linguists WILL come for you if you get it wrong, lol!

19. First fandom you wrote for? LoTR. I've only been doing this for a couple of years.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written? Impossible to choose! But my comfort series is The Flower and the Fountain: 16,000 words of Glorfindel and Ecthelion in 32 vignettes. I love those guys.

How did you get into jily?

Hi anon, thanks for the ask : D

This turned into a rather long answer, but that's rather unsurprising since when I edit a chapter it seems to jump 3k, right? 😅 😂

How I Got Into Jily Reading

My journey into the world of Jily began, like many of you, in the captivating realm of Harry Potter fics (about a decade ago). My initial foray into Jily failed to capture me – I don't know if I was reading in the wrong space (I'm looking at you ffn.net) or if this was just popular at the time – but a lot of what I read fixated on James' persistent pursuit of Lily (often depicting harassment) and "missing moments" that revolved around teenagers (nothing inherently wrong with teenagers, I just found it difficult to relate).

So I ventured beyond the familiar pairings, exploring all sorts of HP characters before being drawn back into Jily during covid. It was then that I discovered authors (@ghostofbambifanfiction @bcdaily @theesteemedladydebourgh @missgryffin & fetchalgernon ) who wrote muggle au's and canon divergent fics that portrayed Lily and James in healthy, enthralling, adult relationships (or very mature teenagers!). The relationships and characters are all magnificent! These authors enveloped me in the warmth of their craft and anchored me in the Jily world. I am still obsessed with all of their writing and happily forsake whatever I'm dong to inhale their latest chapters : D

How I Got Into Jily Writing

I've jotted down a few fics over the years, but never published anything. I impulsively signed up for @jilymicrofics Valentine's Gift Exchange this year. I was a very passive part of fandom before this and had no tumblr account, no AO3 etc. I kind of just signed up to everything on a whim and then @charmsandtealeaves invited me to join all of these servers and suddenly I was in, people seemed to like my Valentine's Fic and in the throes of enthusiasm I committed to a micro a day for March. That month unlocked a flow of creative inspiration and I've been delighted that the writing has kept coming.

Becoming active in the Jily community has not only provided me with a plethora of new (to me) talented authors, but also allowed me to put names to stories that I read many years ago. I now have a vast TBR list and am eagerly looking forward to reading every single one of them : D

Uuuuugh I can’t believe this ranks so highly 🥴 because it’s a stupid PWP I wrote literally just to see if my writing was any good because my stuff on the other archive never got much attention. It’s awful and I’ve thought many times about abandoning it, but I keep it to humble myself.😶‍🌫️

Do you respond to comments? I want to! I always do in my mind! I love and appreciate each comment more than you’ll ever know! Then I get busy irl and forget to come back and actually write down the damn response. 😖 By then, too much time has passed so my social anxiety kicks in and assumes that I’d be bothering or obnoxious, so I just don’t respond. Please forgive me. 😢 (PLEASE NOTE: I’ve received years’ old responses to my comments and they thrill me to my core! It’s awesome. I just figure I’d be upsetting the commenters so I don’t do it.)

What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I don’t write angst, BUT I did write Sailing Off Anchor which is set between two episodes of Da Vinci’s Demons where they rip apart the two characters who’d finally come together (we all wished carnally) and worked so well together. So ofc, the storytellers tore them apart, put one back in his horribly toxic situation, and that was it for the best part of the series. How am I still so bitter?? So, yeah, my fic has a canonical ending so it’s not hopeful.

What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? All the rest of them. I want escapism when I read and write so I try to give the characters a … happy ending. 😉😏 Some more literally than others.

Do you get hate on fics? No, I’ve never gotten true hate, thank you all. I had one DVD reviewer who would ruthlessly critique my fics for plotting, pacing, OOC-ness, but they actually made some really good points, so if it was hate, it backfired.

Do you write smut? Yeah. 😏😘

Do you write crossovers? Yes, I have and I would again.

Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I know of.

Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes! For TH, translations into Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian, I think. For DVD, Russian.

Have you ever co written a fic? No, but I’d be possibly willing to try. I just have a very chaotic approach to writing that I’m not sure would be amenable to sharing. 😂

What’s your all time favourite ship? All of them! 🤣 I loved writing Leo/Riario for DVD, I loved writing Zack/Cloud for FF7, and I’m loving Adam/Ronan for TRC which is my only pairing that ever actually made it to canon.

What’s a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Never say never! I was doing a multi-chapter re-write of DVD at one point, but I know I’ll never finish it because I don’t have the time or energy. And there’s only three or four of us still around, and unfortunately, I would need some external validation to ever take on a project that big again.

What are your writing weaknesses? All of them? Probably can’t/won’t plot—just vibes. 😋

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I’m a sorry excuse for a language student, so I don’t even attempt to write in another language. There’s too much nuance needed that online translation can’t handle. In TRC, there’s a smattering of Latin here and there in fics I read, and that’s cool, but I truly appreciate when you add a translation in the text or foot notes. I won’t be googling that.

First fandom you wrote for? Weiss Kreuz, but I never posted it except on my locked LJ. The first fic I ever wrote then later posted was FF7 on FFN. The first fic I ever wrote then immediately posted was for TH. ...You can tell I have anxiety.😭

Favourite fic you’ve ever written? That’s like asking a parent to choose their favorite kid! I love so many of them for so many reasons and moods. Probably the one I’m most proud of is Sailing Off Anchor because I still feel like I hit the characters perfectly. For rom-com fluff, Will You Accept This Rose? because I got to write the silly scenes I could see so clearly in my mind. For sheer zany comedy (which seems to be what I’m leaning toward more these days) Special Delivery because it’s based on a true story, and it was so much fun to embellish it and put Ronan through things.😉🤣

Any thoughts on an au where Hana becomes All For Ones successor instead of Tomura? Or where they are both his successors and have a sorta Daki and Gyutaro (Demon Slayer) dynamic of villainous siblings?

I once wondered why exactly AFO didn’t pick Hana to kidnap/manipulate/groom. Like, she’s also a Shimura child - in fact she was born first, so if he had been planning for a sort of ‘Torture All Might With A Shimura Descendant (Before Then Using The Child As A Vessel For My Immortal Evil Soul?)’ all this time, he could’ve started earlier. She’s a girl, who looks even more like Nana, so the psychological torment for All Might would’ve been higher, probably.

One of the more popular theories in fandom seems to be: Shimura Tenko was born quirkless; AFO gave him the Decay quirk that would eventually bring ruin to the family and allow for AFO to swoop in as a ‘savior’. And thus it seemed like the Shimura tragedy was plotted by AFO nearly every step of the way:

1) Take one Shimura Child

2) Give them Decay

3) Wait for (or somehow induce) Accident

4) Profit

But then, if this was the plan, why not use Hana? All For One (Quirk) can take away any original quirk Hana had anyways, so Decay could still be bestowed and he can still bullshit some explanation about mutant quirks and innate urge to destroy and cultivate a ‘Symbol of Fear’. Simply put, why Tenko as the figure for his nefarious plan and not Hana?

Was it because AFO found the Shimura family too late and Hana already manifested a quirk and so it would’ve been suspicious if she suddenly changed powers? Was it because AFO didn’t actually have a specific ‘Use Shimura to Eventually Torture All Might’ plan (or had several to choose from but hasn’t decided on one yet) but when Tenko was indeed born quirkless, AFO thought that was too good an opportunity to pass up? Did Tenko have some quality that Hana didn’t and AFO focused on that? Or was it, as the responses to my question suggest, because AFO is a sexist bastard and a girl was no good (although he seemed to have been okay having girls as spares in his shady orphanage)?

It’s all kinda convoluted, these questions and what ifs. In any case, an AU where (Tenko still exists but) Hana was chosen as successor would mean, I think, that: All For One had an eye on the Shimura family for a long while before deciding to enact his plan, and he would specifically pick Hana either for a small bonus psychological torment to give All Might (super Nana look-alike) or because Hana had some quality he preferred/needed (her budding trait of sneakiness?) or a secret third thing. Which means AFO here is just a bit crueler, and his exact plot is slightly different, and also apparently he does not mind having a girl for a vessel (agender/genderfluid All For One, Go!). Fun elements to explore.

For some shameless self promotion tho, I actually have written an (unfinished) fanfic in which Hana survives and while she isn’t AFO’s successor, she’s nevertheless also groomed to take on a role in AFO’s evil plots, as sort of support for Tomura:

Unfortunately I am not familiar with Demon Slayer and am not sure what dynamic Daki and Gyutaro have, but I too had wanted to explore what villainous Shimura siblings would be like.

Between the different and perhaps clashing survival tactics both would develop; the potential for some unnerving AFO/OFA older sibling-younger sibling parallel; me having AFO give Hana a lying quirk (because he’s cruel with a terrible sense of humor like that); and me taking cues from this real interesting quote of Oneshot Tenko’s Hana’s

I've been a fic writer for over 25 years, so I have thousands of fics. 9. How do you find new fic to read? I follow a few AO3 bot blogs, some rec blogs, and a ton of fic writers. I also love reading stuff people recommend to me from fandoms I may or may not be in...as long as I have a passing familiarity with the fandom I'll read it.

16. What’s an AU you would love to read (or have read and loved)? Oooh! I have an answer for this that I have read! My friend @dreaminonao3 has a few fics started that are modern-era Pride & Prejudice (2005) reimaginings with Caroline, Mary and Kitty paired off with her amazing OMCs Thurston, Leland and Gabe, respectively. I also really enjoy her modern au!Penthony (Anthony/Penelope) fics for the Bridgerton fandom and her rewrite of MCU canon where Steve wasn't from the 40s but he was actually a Templar Knight (I am also the inspiration for her popular fic enabler fic, so yeah...I'm her biggest fan).

First impression: Honestly, I wasn't expecting much. I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy JJK when I was starting out, and his personality didn't stick out to me.

Impression now: YUJI MY BEST FRIEND YUJI!! He's so fun with the rest of the cast, and I've found his progression interesting. I'm not 100% caught up with the latest chapters but good lord please give the poor guy a break.

Favourite moment: I can't think of one off the top of my head, but I just love when he's being silly and making friends

Idea for a story: I don't have an idea for any specific stories but anything with him and Nanami or him just hanging out with his friends would make me happy!

Unpopular opinion: I am not touching the fandom with a ten foot pole so I don't know what is and isn't popular.

Favourite relationship: Him and Nanami!!! I love what they had going on and I really wish they had more time together. I do love his relationship with Junpei too.

Favourite headcanons: JJK isn't at the forefront of my mind enough to really have headcanons.

Tiziano

First impression: I do not recall, but I think the first time I saw him was in a gif of him caressing Squalo's chest so, y'know, my first thought was "Oh! He's gay!!" Generally, I don't think I had many thoughts on him until Vento Aureo happened to me and then it was a slippery slope into absolutely adoring him.

Current impression: There is too much to say, I just love him so much. I've been interested in him pretty much since I got into JoJo, and my thoughts on him have only developed since then. And he has nice hair.

Favourite moment: It is impossible to just pick one, so... This is probably low hanging fruit, but the rooftop scene in Clash and Talking Head. I also like all the little details with how he reassures and directs Squalo to help keep him calm, I don't know if it was intentional but I feel there's a lot of subtle affection there.

Then there's Testimone di Gangster! Again, low hanging fruit, but the hotel room scene from Chapter 5 was so good. It's nice to see the author include his and Squalo's affections from the anime, as well as discussing Talking Head and having some really nice dialogue near the end! I enjoy how the focus of the story is that Tiziano and Talking Head are still powerful in their own right. I simply cannot go in depth with everything I like, so can I just every one of his moments from the story?

Idea for a story: TOO MANY. I suppose I'd like to explore his background and how that connects to his current circumstances and his love for Squalo. Or, I don't know... Just him and Squalo getting married on the beach. Love wins.

Unpopular opinion: I don't really know what's popular and unpopular since I don't really engage in the fandom enough to be familiar with that kind of thing.

Favourite relationship: Squalo and Tiziano!!! They're married and deeply in love because I said so. This mostly comes down to headcanons and AUs, but I also like thinking about a potential relationship with Doppio. Also goes for possible relationships with the rest of Unità Speciale! (Is it cheating to say Tiziano and my OC, Struffoli set around the time of Testimone di Gangster?)

Favourite headcanon: Gahh I have too many to really go in depth, so I'll just go with autistic Tiz! Squatizi autism romance!!! <3

Ice of Wings: Part 1

Disclaimer: I do not own Zatch Bell, The Duke of Death and His Maid, Urusei Yatsura, and SMG4 Fandoms: Zatch Bell, The Duke of Death and His Maid, Urusei Yatsura, and SMG4 Rating: T Summary: Suzume, Walter, and Ataru end up in the SMG4 Universe and must find ice wings to return home. They deal with daily chaos in the Princess Peach castle. Soon, they'd learned they weren't the only ones who got isekai into the SMG4verse. CrossFic Type: Isekai AU, Modern Setting Genre: Adventure, Humor, and Parody A/N: Just a random dumb short crossover fanfiction because I need to practice my shitty writing skills and I need a break from my other crossover AUs anyway. It takes place before the "Gotta be perfect" SMG4 movie.

"Where in the actual heck are we?" Suzume asked.

"We're standing in front of Princess Peach's castle," Walter answered, staring at the castle in surprise. "but it's impossible to be here. The castle is from Super Mario 64."

"Wow, I did not expect you to be a gaming type."

"Meh. Viola is the gaming type. She makes me watch her while she plays Mario 64 and other games."

"I don't mean to cut off y'all chat, but we got a problem." Ataru actually looked frightened. "How in the hell did we get here?! Don't tell me we've died and isekaied into the Mario 64 universe!

"What's an Isekai?" Walter looked at Suzume, confused by the unfamiliar Japanese word.

"It means otherworld or another world. It is a popular light novel genre." Suzume explained, being a light novel reader. "I prefer Shoujo Isekai through. The Shounen ones are too overrated, and the protagonist in a Shounen harem is boring and plain as hell."

"Again, what's a Shoujo and Shounen?"

"Shoujo is for the female readers, and shounen is for the male readers. But don't get the wrong idea. Some female readers read shounen, and some male readers read shoujo."

"I'm hungry. Do you got any food?" A curious voice asked.

"Wait a second, that voice sounds familiar." Ataru spun around and faced Mario with crossed eyes. "What the hell?!"

"Wait, don't tell me we're-" Walter started.

"in the SMG4 universe?!" Suzume finished for him.

"Oooh, you're friends of SMG4?!" SMG4 Mario smiled at the guests. "He's inside the castle!"

"So, you three came from a different world?" SMG4 asked.

"Obviously." Suzume sighed. "How do we get back?"

"You must search for the ice wings!" SMG2 claimed.

"And these ice wings will get us home?" Walter inquired. "Where do we find them?"

"Well," SMG1 rubbed his chin in thought. "We gotta do research."

"Oh great. Why bother suggesting the ice wings if you don't know where it is." Ataru groaned, annoyed.

"It looks like we'll be stuck in this castle for a while." Suzume sighed. She didn't sound too pleased with the idea.

"Well, I'd rather crash here than live with my overbearing mother," Walter grumbled. "Sucks to be Viktor and Viola through. I wonder if they're searching for me."

"Same with my mother and friends back in my motherland."

"Hmph. My parents gives no shit about me. I bet they're happy that I am gone." Ataru said bitterly. "And I can be away from Mendo and other annoying classmates of mine for a while."

"I guess we all need a break from our daily boring lives," Suzume added.

"Why there's lava in here?!" Walter shouted, standing on a sofa.

"It's probably nothing." A skeleton Mario shook his head and went back to fishing.

"How in the hell are you even still alive?!" Walter gawked at Mario in shock.

"I don't wanna die twice!" Ataru was hanging onto a telephone pole that somehow got inside Princess Peach's castle.

"MARIO!" SMG4 emerged from the second floor. "What the hell did you do?!"

"He summoned his devil friend to fill the castle with lava!" Suzume yelled at SMG4 across the room, hanging onto a large chandelier for dear life. "I wish I was a summoner so I can summon Shiva!"

"Wait, you're also a Final Fantasy fan?!" Walter turned his attention to Suzume.

"I forgot to tell you!"

"WELL, SOMEONE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE LAVA! The goddamn pole here is melting!" Ataru exclaimed.

"Yeah, Mario! Call your friend back and return the room back to normal!" Suzume's eyeballs stretched to the skeleton Mario. "NOW." Suzume used her stretching eyes to slap Mario. "OUCH! My eyes hurt now!"

"…Now I've seen everything." Walter had a blank expression.

"Dude! What the hell happened to your neck?!" Ataru called out in horror.

"You ask me, Ataru." Walter's head was now in front of Ataru. His neck had stretched from the sofa.

"I can do the same too!" Ataru's head became larger.

"This is the SMG4 universe, all right! Our bodies can be flexible!" Suzume's eyes went back to normal. "Now, is there a way to summon Shiva?! We're melting in here!"

Walter had a horrified expression when he spotted a naked Mario on a massive plate of spaghetti.

"I'm out." Walter leaves Mario alone and goes upstairs. Suzume, a Luigi doll, and Boopkins played a YuGiOh card game on the floor. "What are you guys doing?"

"Hey, Walter! Do you want to play the game with us?!" Boopkins asked, excited.

"I know you are thinking of a way to defeat your firstborn brother once you return to our world." Suzume's eyeballs had stretched out to Walter in a fishy matter.

"Now, you can read minds?!"

"Nope. I'm just guessing." Suzume giggled. "I'll be watching you, Walter. Always watching you." Suzume's eyeballs went back to their usual length.

"…Anyway, where is Ataru?"

"Who knows? Ataru probably went to Toad Town to hit on female toads."

"But Toad Town is in Paper Mario."

"Welcome to the SMG4 universe where the locations are randomized."

Meanwhile, Ataru was indeed flirting with the female Toads.

"Hey, baby! Got a phone number?!" Ataru grinned flirtatiously.

"Eww! Begone, weirdo human!" Toadette smacked Ataru in the face with a hammer."

"AHHHHHHH!" Ataru flew off and went inside a shy guy's toybox. The Anti Guy stood before him, and he was pissed off. "Oops. Hello?" Ataru smiled weakly, having an amused expression.

"STINKY HUMAN!" The shy guy beat Ataru up.

Back to the Princess Peach castle, Suzume and Walter played the YuGiOh card game while Boopkins and the Luigi doll watched with interest.

"Yeah, Ataru is getting his ass kicked." Walter placed a card down.

"And I'm about to summon the Blue-Eyes White Dragon on your Red-Eyes Black Dragon." Suzume grinned.

"Damn it!" Walter ruffled his hair in frustration. "I can't believe you beat me!"

"You're pretty good, Suzu!" Boopkins praised.

The next day.

"Good morning, Walter, Ataru. How was your sleep?" Suzume yawned.

"Sleeping on a sofa isn't my ideal," Walter answered.

"Hey! You kicked me off the sofa, dude!" Ataru exclaimed at Walter, upset.

"It's because there wasn't enough room for two guys." Walter countered back, annoyed. Then, he coughed blood. "I SAID MY OWN FORBIDDEN WORD!"

"Geez, Walter. You need to see a doctor." Suzume breathed, having her hands on her hips. "Anyway, we should visit SMG1 and SMG2."

"Damn, right. There's better be a location for those ice wings." Ataru added.

And soon, our friends from the other world would discover they weren't the only ones who got isekai to the SMG4 Universe.

Meanwhile, in the Bob-omb Battlefield…

"HELP ME!" Viktor screamed as he was being chased by a chain chomp.

"I will stop you!" Mendo jumped midair and struck the chain chomp with his katana, but the katana broke in half. "WHAT THE?!"

The chain chomp turned around and smirked in amusement at Mendo before chasing him.

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!" Mendo ran for his life.

"Where the heck did we end up at?" Viola wondered, helping Viktor to his feet.

"No idea, Viola," Viktor answered, confused as his sister.

2022 Year End Fic Review

I was thinking of doing one of those ask memes for the year in fic and then my beloved @monroesimons tagged me in this, so fate clearly wanted me to wax poetic about myself.

1. What is your AO3 account?

It’s CrimsonPetrichor, because 17 year old Zainab had recently binged the entirety of Matt Smith’s first season as The Doctor and she needed everyone to know it.

2. How many words did you write total in 2022?

46,316 words! Full on absurd for me, particularly given the three years of writing drought that preceded all of this.

3. How many fics did you publish in 2022? How many multichapters vs oneshots?

Seven fics on AO3, plus a handful of small prompt fills that stayed on Tumblr. Only one fic was a multi-chapter, because I am too cowardly and not disciplined enough to commit to them regularly.

4. What was your longest fic? Your shortest fic?

Longest: by land, by sea, by dirigible, which clocked in at 18376 words

Shortest: of the ones published on AO3, it’s the way you sound in the morning (828 words), but overall it’s a Ty/Tandy prompt fill that was just 218 words

5. What was your most popular fic? Your least popular fic?

Purely using kudos as a metric, a friend of any sort (the craigslist fake dating AU) was my most popular, and by land, by sea was least popular.

6. What fic didn’t perform as well as you thought it would?

Listen. I rolled up to a fandom one year late and people still saw fit to read and enjoy my work. Things are grand.

7. What fic performed way better than you thought it would?

Two answers for this one: when I published love on rewind (everything is so throwback-ish), it was my first fic on AO3 in more than three years and it had been about a year since the show aired and I had no idea if anyone would read it and then they did! And they enjoyed it! And that was wild.

Also, I can’t answer this without mentioning if you got the notion (i second that emotion), which I basically wrote in a fugue state and then published at like, 1 AM, and then??? People really, really dug it and I’m still surprised by how well it was received. What I’ve learned is that all of us as a community want to see Sam and Bucky in Hallmark movie situations and I love that for us.

8. What was your favorite fic you wrote from 2022?

Specifically chapter 5 of by land, by sea is one of my favorite things I’ve written in years, I think.

It gave me so much trouble and I went through so many variations and then I woke up at 6 AM on the morning of my birthday and wrote nearly all 4500 words of it in one sitting. It’s atmospheric and emotional and I got to throw around some historical references and play with magic and it’s a piece that I know exists in its best possible form, which is a nice feeling.

9. What was your favorite fic that somebody else wrote in 2022?

Emma (birdhapley) wrote a professors AU for The Bedlam Stacks, i know it's just a number, but you're the eighth wonder, that might be one of my favorite fics I’ve ever read. The world is so perfectly translated and the characters are so clearly themselves and everything down to the excerpted reviews for all the professors and the characters’ texting styles feel right and make perfect sense. A masterclass in writing in general and AU-building in particular.

I also really adored Mak’s (bisamwilson) angel/demon AU, i slithered here from eden (just to sit outside your door), which has just So Much Pining and fun historical moments and allegory and millennia of devotion and like! Truly! What more could you want!

Everyone should read them both immediately regardless of your familiarity level with either fandom.

Julerose AUs

No matter where, in any universe, I'm yours.

These two background gays and their wholesome vibes are almost single-handedly keeping me in the miraculous fandom, I swear to god. You could put these two in anything that isn't Miraculous and it would be all the better for it.

Such is the nature of many conversations I've had with @le-chiggin-nuggie over the years, coming up with AUs that these two could (and rightfully should) be the stars of. I'm posting some of our favorites up here in the hopes it will intrigue and inspire- we've had a lot of fun coming up with them, and writing little bits for them, and I want to share that with you guys here.

Description of each AU under the cut:

Starting on top left and going clockwise...

Carnaval Clandestin. This is an idea of mine that I'm currently writing a full story for. I've seen a few of circus-ey type AUs, and I am absolutely trash for spooky carnival stuff, so I decided I'd throw my hat in the ring. These performers may lean heavily into shock value and creepy stuff, but it's all in good fun. They don't mean any harm, really. Juleka in this AU is the mysterious head clown, nicknamed "Reflekta." She has shapeshifting abilities and can look like anyone else, and takes no small amount of pleasure in using her abilities to scare the living hell out of patrons. Rose, or "Princess Rose," as she likes to be called, is a budding alchemist who sells novelty and remedial potions out of her snake-oil caravan.

Pirate and Fairy. This is what you get from trying to overanalyze Peter Pan, a stupid book which has no cohesion and makes even less sense than Wonderland. Pirates and fairies are a fantastic combo, however, and since Juleka's mom is literally a pirate and Rose acts like she was pulled out of Cinderella, that's what this picture is. I just drew a simple, generic action scene, no actual story behind it. This just seems like the logical conclusion for a high fantasy or DnD AU, but anyone can do what they want with this. Nugg's also suggested Rose as a mermaid, I know Princess!Rose is popular, and all of them work just as well.

Teen Titans Crossover. This is a favorite of Nugg's, putting Rose in the shoes of Starfire and Juleka in the cloak of Raven. Pretty self-explanatory here. Others may have their rosters, our reasoning is such: Kim is Beast Boy and Max is Cyborg, and sometimes they're paired off as well. Nathaniel takes Robin's role, Alix is X, Chloe's Terra and she LIVES, Marinette and Adrien are Jinx and Kid Flash, and everybody else is everybody else.

Death and the Vampyre. This one came about after listening to too much Steam Powered Giraffe. "Delilah Morreo's" throwaway line about the eponymous vampire queen being friends with Death, coupled with familiarity with Discworld's interpretation of Death, led to this idea. Perhaps Juleka is a vampire who's been stuck in her castle for hundreds of years, explaining her dated clothing. Perhaps Rose is the chipper "new" Death, who does the duty with pep and respect. They meet. Sitcom antics.

A bit of good luck to brighten Juleka's gloomy day, perhaps, or some divine inspiration on her music. If she were only able to be seen by her... That's the setup, the rest is up to the prospective storyteller.

Different Heroes. Nugg's currently in the process of writing a story involving a full new set of Kwamis. Rose, or "Princess Oz," holds the Lion here whilst Juleka, "Corbeau," holds the Raven. Given how that last season ended, the side characters may need new kwamis anyway. And making Rose's new miraculous a crown and Juleka's a capelet? *chef's kiss* Immaculate.

Wonderful. Here's one we don't see around too often in any fandom- a crossover with Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Gotta love those classic madness vibes, and it's so old that which Wonderland you use is like a sliding scale from Disney Animation to American McGee. That, and I've been on a total Alice kick ever since I found the Royal Ballet production online, which everyone should watch at the earliest convenience.

steps onto my soapbox

i am going to be so meticulous in my sideblogs. just so you all know. and my guide for flfverse when i get that off the ground (it’s in the works! yay!). why?

let’s talk about fandom history and archives and the internet and art, friends

when i was first getting into the baby beginnings of writing free falling/flfverse, which is my first attempt at a bdsm au, i was already familiar with the trope from honestly too many years of fanfic given my age. but i went to the fanlore page and….it barely resembled the trope i’d been reading, and hadn’t seen major updates since it was created in 2011.

at first, i thought some of the info was just straight-up wrong, so naturally i went on a deep dive to figure it all out. i’m still picking at threads on that, the hyperfixation ran out so it’s slower going now, but the fanlore page has been updated with some more of the info i found since i started the project, if you’re curious.

but it is/was an absolute goddamn nightmare to look through. the trope is generally agreed to have begun in 2006, when one fic (Stargate Atlantis fic, General and Doctor Sheppard by Xanthe) created it and then people started copying that fic etc etc. but ofc this was still in a time of purges on ffn and livejournal, ao3 was in the works but wouldn’t be online for real for a couple more years, and fandom was also spread across other individual websites run by creators. which makes it really hard to track things.

i’m currently working on closing the gap between the early 2010s (when the trope started appearing on ao3) and 2006-7 (when it was initially gaining popularity) and let me tell you, very few people bother to note where they got ideas from, or if they made things up themselves. i can see the shapes of certain trends but can’t pin them down yet. it’s fascinating and frustrating because i don’t know, ever, if i’m just not looking in the right place or if some info is just lost forever to purges and the like.

but it’s not like it matters, right? i mean, who actually cares about mapping the origins and spread of a kinky fanfic trope. no great loss of culture if it all vanished tomorrow, right. it’s not like, in the grand scheme of things, my projects mean a lot to the world.

maybe, hear me out, all art is important and valuable. maybe i find this interesting and that’s enough reason to look into it. maybe the trope is just an excuse to write a lot of smut; maybe, sometimes, it’s something else. i could go on about that angle but i won’t, not in this post. i’m not an 18+ blog. but sometimes, yall, the sex is a metaphor. or something.

i work on fanlore in my spare time for a reason. i’m looking to volunteer at ao3 as soon as i can for a reason. fandom history is really more fucking important to me than it has any right to be and i wish i could articulate why but i can’t do any better than this:

if i don’t care, who will?

a big chunk of the world already dismisses fandom, or at least fan labor, as fast as it can. i’ve dedicated countless hours of my life to this and i would drop my life plans in a heartbeat and dedicate everything to it if i could make a living but it’s fan stuff so i can’t.

what i can do is make my little guides and my blogs and keep separate archives for myself and document everything as meticulously as possible so 17 years from now when some small internet sleuth comes looking for answers to a question no one else thought to ask yet they will at least have that much.

maybe that’s dramatic. i don’t know. i tend that way. i don’t mind much.

(side note: talking about my little quest for knowledge isn’t really me asking for help with it. for one, i’m very protective of it; it’s my job to do, i got here first. for two, no offense, hypothetical internet person, but i can almost guarantee i know more than you. every time i’ve cast a line out so far on the off chance i get useful info i only get things i already know or things that are straight-up wrong. if you want to try to contribute anyway, knock yourself out.)

longtime listener, first time caller, I gotta know how you feel about high school and college aus

...You know, I was about to say “not my jam,” in the same way that most modern, what-if-they-had-boring-jobs-and-no-superpowers AUs are not my jam. (And especially not high school AUs because I am just Too Damn Old for teenage drama.) But in thinking about the one high school fic that is my single exception to that rule -- and realizing that almost everything else I read in that particular fandom was a college AU -- it turns out the real answer is: it depends on the canon.

Case study: Les Miserables vs. The Witcher

So first off, Les Miz fandom has very little bearing on the actual source material—instead of the main story that the book/movies/musical tells, fanfic tends to focus on a group of minor side characters, the Les Ami, a bunch of idealistic young revolutionaries fighting for change and social justice.

The most popular pairing is Enjolras, the group's intensely passionate and charismatic (and really hot) leader, and Grantaire, a cynical alcoholic artist who shows up at meetings to be a smartass and troll Enjolras. Pretty sure the following is paraphrased from canon:

Enjolras: [to Grantaire] Why do you even come to meetings??

Grantaire: Cuz I lurrrrrve you.

Enjolras: [to everyone else] Why does he even come to meetings???

Everyone else: Uhm. Because he is like, ass-over-tits in love with you. Dude, he's not even subtle about it.

It's not that Grantaire doesn't support the group's aims, but he's a pragmatist in a sea of idealists, which makes him one of the few people willing to challenge Enjolras in any meaningful way. Moreover, Grantaire desperately wants Enjolras to notice him—and he'd rather have Enjolras riled up and yelling at him, if that's what it takes to have his attention, than to be just one more adoring fan lost in the crowd. It's a great dynamic.

(And I'm given to understand that regardless of whether Enjolras ever reciprocated his feelings, Grantaire was pretty overtly gay for Enjolras even in the original. And Grantaire—despite all his professed cynicism—does ultimately show up for the revolution, and he and Enjolras die in each other's arms, because it's that kind of book. (If I'm wrong, don't correct me. ✌))

But the thing is, “idealistic young revolutionaries fighting for change and social justice” is really easy to transplant into a different time and place—there has never been any shortage of social justice to fight for, and there have always been idealistic young people stepping up to the plate. Which is why most Les Miz fanfics are modern AUs, and mostly college age or recently graduated (with that one salient high school fic), because that's the age at which people have the most passion and resilience for challenging the system and trying to change the world. The specific issues the group is championing may be new, but the personalities, motivations, and dynamics remain identical -- the only difference is that now they've got iPhones.

It's great fun! I have zero familiarity with Les Miz canon, but I've nonetheless read a lot of modern/college AU fic of it, so clearly I do enjoy that trope under the right circumstances.

On the flip side: The Witcher.

It's pretty easy to translate Jaskier into a modern/college setting—his parents want him to be a responsible viscount business major, while he is causing them immense disappointment with his bardic aspirations music degree. It can hit all the same beats—staying true to himself in the face of parental pressure, rich parents threatening to cut him off financially if he doesn't come to heel, being a no-name musician struggling to hit it big, trying to find his niche as an artist.

But the other characters in the witcher universe just do not transplant into a mundane setting. Full stop.

Geralt, for one, is not a character who can be divorced from the context that created him—the central conflicts of his character, the elements that shaped his personality, are all entirely rooted in him being a witcher. What it took to become one, and all the intergenerational trauma of Kaer Morhen. How society treats him, how he struggles with having his humanity constantly denied by the people around him, and the staggering isolation inherent in that. Having already lived multiple human lifetimes, looking down the barrel of living who-knows-how-many-more, and how that's alienating too. Being the last of a dying breed, and feeling kinship with the very creatures that his entire reason for existing is to kill.

Without that, all you've got is an introvert who likes horses.

And sure, if it's an author I enjoy, and the story is ~10k words or less, then I'll read their bubbly musician + introverted horse-nerd romcom—but at that point, calling them Jaskier and Geralt is little more than a hook for getting readers into the story.

When a character is that much a product of their specific circumstances, even attempts at modern analogues invariably fall short—growing up in the foster care system is not comparable to growing up in Kaer Morhen; being a forest ranger might be Geralt's dream job, but it's nothing like the job he has. (Not to mention that they're trying to cram a hundred-year-old character into a college student, and my brain breaks at the idea of Geralt being younger than me.) It's changing too many variables—he's either not the same character anymore, or if he is, he shouldn't be, because he no longer has the history that shaped him in those specific ways. He's no longer grappling with the same conflicts; you're having to invent an entirely new set of issues for him, and his resemblance to his canon self grows ever more attenuated.

Anyway, all of which is to say that I only like high school/college AUs when it doesn't take the characters too far afield from their canon incarnation. There are other people who have a greater tolerance than I do for characters-taken-out-of-context, and that is A-OK, it is literally nothing but personal preference.

And it's not like fanfic requires any justification for its existence beyond “I wanted to,” but high-school/college/modern AUs do have some practical benefits. It lets you channel your investment in the blorbos into writing what's essentially an original story with original characters, while still having a ready-made readership for it. It has a much lower bar to entry for young writers, because it doesn't require enormous amounts of research or real-world experience. And if you want to file the serial numbers off and publish it someday, you can do that too.

So yeah. This got kinda off topic from high school/college AUs specifically, and veered into Modern AUs, Part II, but them's my thoughts on the subject. :)

H: How would you describe your writing style?

Oh, that's a tough one to answer! I think one of the major challenges of writing any type of fiction is figuring out how to get impressions and feelings across without being too "on the nose" about it - so I end up using a lot of imagery, and little snippets of past scenes, and sometimes stream-of-consciousness type passages to try and capture what I want to say. I like third-person limited POV for the most part, and I usually pick one particular character to stay with for the duration of the story.

K:  Do you have a guilty pleasures in fic (reading or writing)?

So many, lol! I'm a huge h/c junkie - so in the MGS fandom, I'm always a sucker for a good post-tanker fic. Or anything dealing with post-mission patching up... Reivalk's wonderful Red Collar Job hits absolutely all of my buttons, there. (Highly recommended!!)

First-time sex is also another surefire winner, for me. There are SO MANY ways you can go with that - and I love the awkwardness, and the trust issues it raises, and the whole dynamic you get between the characters. I could literally read 500 different takes on this for Snake/Otacon (or any pairing I've ever enjoyed, in any fandom) and be absolutely delighted with every single one.

J:  What’s your favorite fanfic trope?  Have you written it?

There are LOTS that I reliably enjoy. 😂 I'm pretty easy to please as a reader, honestly.

The ever-popular "OH NOES this deserted cabin has only one bed!" is one I haven't written, but am always thrilled to read.

"X character in jeopardy and needing to be rescued" makes me swoon. Some of the stuff I've written incorporates this a bit, but to date I've not done a fic centered around it. (Hmmm... musing. 👀)

Also a huge fan of showering or bathing together. All that delicious, naked vulnerability on display. The intimacy. The TRUST. *fans self* I... may have done variations on this more than once, in my own fics. 😳

S: How do you feel about fan art inspired by your writing?

It is literally the best thing ever. ❤ I am absolutely hopeless at any kind of visual art, so it's a huge thrill to get to see a representation of something I've written "in the flesh", as it were. For real, it's SO INCREDIBLY COOL to see, and I love it.

It also makes me really happy to know that someone else had *feelings* about something I wrote, so much that they felt inspired to create a piece of art based on it - I mean, how absolutely awesome is that?? That's what writing is about, more than anything else.

So, yeah. Basically, it makes my entire year anytime it happens.

T: Any fanfic tropes you can’t stand?

Ah... yes and no, I suppose! "Can't stand" is such a strong way to put it - there isn't much that I really hate with a fiery passion, but there are certainly some things that aren't my cup of tea.

I don't tend to read major character death, unless I'm in a very particular mood - I definitely don't mind angst, but I prefer my angst to have some bright spots and an ending that's not unremittingly bleak.

As a rule, I'm also not a huge fan of AUs that are wildly different from the source material - so, stuff like time travel, or high school/college AUs, or body swap fics. Etc., etc. That being said, I've certainly read a few AU fics that I liked very much, so a lot depends on the specific details of the set-up.

Honestly - if I'm familiar with the author's work and I know it will be well-written, I'll give almost anything a chance.

5. What is the most fun to write in -fic-?

You didn't specify a fic, so here is all my dcla multichapter fics since that's the fandom you're familiar with. I won't include the multichapter fics that are just oneshots each chapter, tho.

Violetta rewrite - Honestly, it's the scenes that were not in canon but very well could be and/or tie in with a scene that was in canon. But also, whenever I rewrite a scene that was in canon - I am on fire when that happens. In my latest chapter actually, I rewrote a certain scene in 2x20 that I have been looking forward to rewriting since I started this. It's so fun when you change something and now you get to explore "hey, what happens now when that happened/that didn't happen?"

Sunshine and Moonshine - It's Luna and Ámbar's scenes together ofc, since the fic is about them. I gotta say, the most fun is just to write childhood memories and them just driving Sharon mad (she can control one, but both? That's too powerful).

Surprises and Disguises - This is my franletta fic and thus, I mostly love just writing them being cute and stupid together

That crossover chatfic - Well lmao, the thing is I have been writing chatfics for so many fandoms (my most popular fic is in fact, a chatfic, it has 80 chapters and people went wild for it), so it's a premise I know very well. My favorite things to write is just when something chaotic is happening, but we only get the context of what it is with the text messages. Also, I love Ludmila and Ámbar trauma bonding, if you can't tell lol

18. Any multichapter fic you're planning on writing in the future?

The SL ASOUE AU, which I have mentioned a lot and have drawn concept art for and everything

The Violetta ST AU, I am very excited about that, though I constantly forget who is supposed to have which powers lmao

Well, we have that dating Amber AU I thought of after watching that movie one time, but it has not left my brain. It's Ramiro and Ámbar pretending to date due to some reasons.

This is less a multichapter fic and just a little oneshot collection, but I once had a dream that Luna had a baby brother and now I wanna write that

Besides that, I sort-of got an idea for an AU yesterday, but due to it being so fresh I wasn't sure if I should mention it, cause it may be that i'll scrap it later. Anyway, it's an AU based on the movie Crush, which is a movie I've seen twice in a row now. It's just, I need to figure out which character could fit for which role and it's a little hard cause one character may fit for one role, but then they have a dynamic with another character that would better fit someone else for the role, etc.

22. Something you wished you included afterwards?

There always is! Always! I can't think of something right now, but I know there's a lot. Often it's when I re-read older chapters and remember there was supposed to be a buildup for a thing that I never did something with.

24. Do you prefer multichapter fics or oneshots?

That is hard, but I would say multichapter since I am more used to writing them. But oneshots are so fun, too!
