makes you carry her on your shoulders while giving you a (better) tour of HQ and will bonk you on the head if you take a wrong turn

probably makes some snide remarks about your age and how it's likely "you'll make more mistakes"?? all you can think is that's rich coming from the mf that likes to pretend to be a child

teruko is very adamant about protecting the lives of civilians so she REALLY trains you

it's kind of a morality test too. she'll rapid-fire ask you questions and def judges you based on your response

reports back to fukuchi with an IN DEPTH analysis of your behavior, and doesn't hold back

with both of you being the youngest and newest to the hunting dogs, there's a lot you can relate about

your first day went a lot like his actually, and y'all definitely bond over that

helps you out with missions so you don't have to ask the others for assistance cuz they would def make fun of you

tachihara is chill about his job too and just arrests criminals instead of...yknow...cutting them into pieces so that's for sure easier on your stomach

being close with tachi also ensures you'll be closer with jouno since they get along so well

Cap still prepares for missions and works out during his free time or before meetings

No one really knows why he keeps a box in his closet or what's in the box

With cooking, Cap is either good at cooking, or absolutely terrible at it

has he ever met his birth mom? sadly, no

He, Tessla, and Amethysto know sign language beforehand so they don't have a problem with understanding it

He can easily get proned to stress

Cap has emotional intelligence that's almost above average and understands social cues quite easily, which Overdrive underestimates (quite ironic for him to not be aware that ppl admire/have a crush on him)

Overdrive

tbh having their furniture float around is a bit of a perk on their end (mainly because their furniture wouldn't be lifted up all the time in order to clean unreachable areas). It's also a bit of a downfall since it's tricky to get onto for some people

They communicate differently with others, and communicates with Captain Roblox through sign language the most (and it's pretty consistent as they exchange signs/conversations)

They were taught sign language at a young age(roughly around the age of 5-7)

Despite being the 2nd oldest, they're the 2nd shortest to the team (the shortest being Glimmer)

After the events of Mission 4, he decided to move back to HQ (since they've been in hiding during the dark matter crisis)

Some members of the team(namely Overdrive and Kinetic) ask why he keeps a head in his room

The boxes in his are mostly filled with pictures and other stuff

He's the only one in the team to use their phone as an alarm clock. (mood, honestly)

Not very well! he tends to beat himself up alot... especially if its something that really matters to him... he absolutely can accept failure from others though it will be with alot of complaining. especially if hes involved in somehow, then he will be ALOT less accepting

9. when in their life were they most scared?

One time his sister became extremely ill and considering it wasnt too long after their mother had died jacques grew EXTREMELY paranoid and concerned... he was nervous every day and would often pace around outside the inn hoping that she would show up cured and would return to normal... he had his phone charged all the time and at the ready in case he got some bad news it was horribleee.... especially for scout and jocelyn because they constantly were like PLEASE CHILL.. ITLL BE OKAY... but he was really worried she'd die like their mom did :(...

22. how would they decorate their living space, if they had a chance?

oh this is such a cute question and one of the reasons i am SO excited for if the rebellion gets an hq hehe but he would try to decorate it like home! like corbeau! lots of open windows, tooons of knick knacks scattered around and probably more than a few posters... his blankets would be messy and all sorts of different colors and textures but they would be COMFY above all.. and warm... being from a colder climate he loooves to crank up the cold in a room and just lose himself in big comfy blankets... it would be a very comfy area for him :)

24. are they close to any family members?

yes absolutely he is close to all of his family members ! even his in laws, scout, his sisters wife, has a big family and he tries to keep in touch with them all even the really young lads! hes closest to his sister though of course, even when they fight they still will always put each other above anything else

41. how do you keep notes for this character, if at all?

nothing really special tbh! much like most npcs i have his stat block and when i write the notes for a session if i have a specific scene or state of mind i want him to be in then ill write it! i barely have character specific notes outside of things i NEED to keep in mind and remember (family members, their role in things, etc all count) i usually keep these in a bulleted list in my list of npcs!

Lan WangJi is a close second and also Lan XiChen. All my favorites because of their determination and discipline

From bad and Crazy it's Ryu Su Yeol, K, O Gyeong Tae and Hui Gyeom (she's the coolest character in the show) because of obvious reasons

from book fandoms (I'll only list the ones I remember)

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the universe: Aristotle, Dante, Dante's mom, Ari's mom and Dante's dad. Dante is a character who's pretty much WRITTEN to be loved. he's got that childishness along with a sort of maturity you don't expect from a boy of his age. Everything about his character screams constant growth and acceptance. Ari's character is completely opposite in certain categories. He's growing and like anyone his age, whatever he feels at that exact time,he's very fixated on it. Ari's parents and Dante's parents are just amazing parents. This is one of my favorite books

From Dan Brown's books I love Robert Langdon because he's literally the only constant character in all the books, he's super consistent and understanding and ofc a nerd, he's a charismatic and naturally loveable character. most of his character is just knowledge? he doesn't add much from himself? So I guess there's no reason not to like him. He's one of my favorite characters ever.

From carry on it's Baz because he's the least irritating character tbh? Carry on I loved the first book and it can be read as a standalone. It's the book I continued only coz I liked the characters. One character I highly dislike from Carry On is Agatha. Party pooper characters irk me and I feel like the fandom is always stretching it when convincing themselves they like her. Iwaizumi is very sparse in HQ canon but he's such a strong adorable character. and iwaoi remains my top ship it even surpasses wangxian for me. but that's a whole different essay. Anyways I love Al HQ boys (some more than others but even parents have favourites)

From Death Note it's L, Ryuk and Light. L I love because he IS Light he's just “on the good side”. He can play dirty to catch Light but gets away coz he's working with the good guys. I admire everything about Light other than his murder complex. Ryuk is hilarious.

From Alice in Borderland Arisu is literally the only character I care about everyone else can d word sorry

I was in Brazil and I was being told that jumping off a 2f building wont hurt, I did it and it did fucking hurt but I also had clarity in the dream where like "no tbh they're right this shouldnt hurt" but it never got that lucid beyond that point. I then went to this big beautiful apartment building, I mean like it had the balcony wrap all around the outside with carved mahogany pillars, this women in the apt wanted help to find her husband who was most defintely cheating on her, but in the mean time lol I had to quickly finish my bio hw, and then tbh we really quickly solved the case bc he just ended up coming back home. After that I went down the hill, my appearance changed and I was some guy, and at the bottom was a tall hs. This hs was the HQ for this war effort that was going on, they handed me like the javelin? The one that knights on horseback carry to charge the enemies on the opposite, I had no horse lol. I ran back to hs, and they then put me into this really tight van (you had to crawl and lay down flat) with other soldiers, maybe like 5, we were doing some type of special ops. My guy had never killed anyone and they're like ur fine. The van quickly became more like a helicppyer then a jet??? We were slingshotted shotted into enemy territory, then it was brazil and then we went even further and landed in canada which had a big russian population. The place we landed in canada I had dreamed about b4 and I even told my comrades how theres this big floating palace that moves with the tides here. We parked and were all handed small pistols, my character which was originally some korean dude quickly became like an 80s sitcom mom with kids in her backpack, (literally) we went up to this tower and fought guys on the way up and then there were ppl shooting at us from a next door building, I whipped around and finally did shoot one of them square in the head, at the top a door opened, the other guys went in and so did I, but then the perspective swapped I'm no longer the mom, im dad who now has to take care of the kids. I ended up taking them to this misc general store which really was a gun store, and the end

Personally I like the idea of older Bobby getting into the intern program and just instinctively believing that Raz still holds grudges against him for his bullying at Camp whispering rock , which he since feels shitty for, and that Raz also feels superior towards him because he was the kid genius at camp and got into the Psychonauts so early.

Meanwhile Raz, who only two days after pn had way more serious shit to deal with than some bully at camp doesn't only not hold a grudge against him because of that but also is like " Yeah Bobby used to be a shithead and he still kind of is, but now he is the GOOD kind of shithead that's just snarky and affectionately insults you all the time. Dions like that too, that's normal guys bonding right? Me ragging back at him can in no way be read as not being meant in a friendly banter kind of way right?"

Just....VERY into the idea that Bobby still thinks that Raz hates him and feels conflicted and in the meantime Raz doesn't even realize that Bobby still thinks they HAVE beef.

In my au, in which Bobby ends up going to live at the motherlobe with Loboto, Raz ends up his "get this slacker up to a full intern grade" tutor after Norma's attempt at it ends poorly (Their personalities just fuckin clash too much for that dynamic; plus Norma made some snide comments about how Bobby should be sent to live with his mom instead (which isn't actually an option, and also all Bobby knows about her is that she was abusive*. She wouldn't have brought the mom into it if she'd known that was the case, she's just leery of the idea of the son of a notorious psychic criminal being allowed to wander HQ.)

Bobby goes into it expecting the whole thing to be actual torture - a former bullying target in a position of power over him who ALSO very much knows what his dad's like? Big Oof - but the most unpleasant it gets is that Raz asks him "So... are your teeth Like That because of your dad?", to which Bobby awkwardly has to reply that, uh, actually it's the other way around, his teeth made his dad even worse than he used to be. They talk a bit about loboto after that, and while Raz doesn't mention what he saw in Loboto's memory vault, he does bring up that it's pretty impressive how Bobby managed to clear up even a little of the hypnotic conditioning in Loboto's mind Gristol did (which Bobby doesn't see as a big deal, bc Loboto generally tends to cooperate with Bobby as much as he can when it comes to that sorta thing.)

After that, raz reveals that he's brought some required class reading - a stack of True Psychic Tales magazines, because a) that's how he got started learning stuff, and b) raz knows a fellow neurodivergent when he sees one, and figures that comics would be the easiest way for an ADHD-ass 12 year old who wrote "yeah right" under the Favorite Books section on campster to learn stuff. Bobby, not quite realising he's being tricked into learning, is more than okay with this.

The actual bro bonding occurs during the practical part of studying, though - Raz kinda leans into the rivalry thing a bit to make it more engaging, and the fact raz isn't pulling the "hey I'm your teacher you aren't allowed to snark at me" card definitely helps.

I'm sure the whole "so why are you not holding a grudge against me" thing comes up, and Raz's response is basically just "you failed at bullying me for two days and then I got my dream job, why don't YOU have a grudge tbh"

And Bobby is like "Ffs Goggletron, you got that compass back onto my dad's brain ship, I've been looking for that thing basically ever since I worked out how to get in there, and I don't think you even realise how much of a big deal that is. I've been waiting for you to rub it in for days and you just... haven't? Idk how to even react to that, what happened to thinking you're better than me" (Bobby, I think that's just you projecting your insecurities lol)

There's sort of a thing going on where the two of them have been under a lot of personal stress in the past week (Raz with the Maligula thing, Bobby with loboto pulling the whole world domination plot with Oleander AND the whole thing with Truman the moment bobby went away to camp where he couldn't watch out for him), and it's just nice for both of them at this point to be able to have some low-stakes snarky rival banter and do psychic powers practice out in the quarry (as well as Climbing To Ridiculous Places practice. Bobby isn't a trained acrobat but he's quite good at parkouring about like a flailing raccoon or squirrel) after all that mess. I think that's pretty instrumental in how quickly they actually end up as friends in the au.

(Also, Bobby fuckin hates Dion when they first encounter each other, because Bobby is like "he's being unfairly mean to raz and it reminds me of when I was unfairly mean to raz and I DON'T LIKE IT". It's a miracle they didn't get into a fistfight in the parking lot of the Lumberstack Diner right then and there.)

*although that's just what Loboto told him. The truth is, she didn't... actually exist? But idk how much I wanna spoil wrt that in this particular answer. :P

i hope we get another inbetween game before getting kh4 with at least kairi as a protagonist that isn't mom. i have a concept for one that has kairi, axel, and ven have separate stories like bbs where ven goes off to remember khux, axel goes looking for subject x after he finds evidence she's still alive, and kairi somehow gets roped into helping lauriam find his sister somehow (her's is kinda a stretch but i like kairi a lot so i don't care)

These are all very possible! For Kairi though I think she might uncover her own past in radiant garden. KHUX seems to be the crux the kingdom hearts story will be focusing on going forward and with that means unveiling the events that have already passed. The one to tell the story of fairytales is Kairi’s grandmother and Radiant Garden has been at the center of a lot of the events of the story and yet we don’t really know all that much about it. Plus I think the limit cut episode featuring the Radiant Garden Restoration Committee must mean something since they made models and the world, it’d be kind of pointless to do all that and nothing with it in my opinion. Plus something about RG has always struck me as being tied to Daybreak Town. It’s a world based on flowers and that reminds me of Ava’s dandelions. Plus Kairi learning things about herself seems to be where her character is going given MoM. It might not happen since Axel would probably be covering Radiant Garden for Subject X (Skuld) and Ansem but Skuld being tied to Radiant Garden and being from KHUX solidifies the connection between RG and DBT even more for me tbh. Plus Kairi would be training with Aqua and I wouldn’t be surprised if they go to RG to do so since Aqua’s been there before, and in that case all three of the trios would be centered around Radiant Garden and that I could see. Maybe they all start and orbit around Radiant Garden since that seems to be the new KH HQ and part ways to investigate clues before returning to brief each other.

But that’s just a possibility of what I think could happen lol. Kairi could likely go in some completely different way and her teaming up with Lauriam (and Elrena?) is still KHUX related and I think that would be very interesting, esp because of their connections to flowers and Stelitzia likely being a pure light. And that could still happen around Radiant Garden. And Lauriam did end up in an field of flowers, maybe that was the original Radiant Garden or is at least connected because flowers? I also like that trio because it’s like CoM but with Kairi instead of Naminé, though she could be involved too! Might be kinda awkward though because of Marluxia Larxene stuff but I’d like her and Kairi to meet strelitzia honestly.

Whatever happens, I think a bbs style is the best way to go and I really hope it happens. Kairi Ven and Axel as the leads are perfect because they are the ones to have the least amount of focus of their trios, to me at least, and have a lot of unexplained things from their past that should be explored.

I like to imagine that the Quarantine thing and the AU that Fuyumi can just.. waltz into the LoV hq are in the same universe.

I think she’d start out being like, super cautious and stuff because holy shit, she just found out that Hawks is in cahoots with some villains, and really she should 100% tell Someone about this, but Miruko stops her by telling her that Hawks is undercover, which only makes her 1000 times more sure that Hawks is still dating her long lost brother and By God She’s Going To Find Him.

Then at some point she risks sneaking into the LOV hideout, and the first time she doesn’t get caught because she’s really good at being unassuming, but the second time, overly friendly Twice notices her and realizes she’s not someone he knows (and he knows everybody). But he’s still a nice guy, so he confronts her privately, asking her who she is and why she’s sneaking around.

Fuyumi is Hella Nervous, and Miruko is ready to leap into the thick of things to get her out of there, but having seen how friendly Twice is with other people, Fuyumi decides to try just telling him most of the truth. She tells him that she’s here because she’s looking for her long lost brother, who she thinks might be hiding around here, and she promises she doesn’t want any trouble. All she wants is to find her sibling again. I’m going to assume for this that the Todoroki siblings who aren’t Shouto aren’t well known at all, and their names aren’t public knowledge. So she tells him her first name, and the name of her brother, but not their last name.

Twice is incredibly sympathetic and understands wanting to find her lost family member again, so he offers to help her look. He helps her by giving her an in to the league, vouching for her so she can get proper access to things and can search around without being questioned. She’ll still need to hang out with him though, so he can be sure she’s not getting any other information.

Miruko is losing her mind because Fuyumi has somehow successfully infiltrated the fucking league of villains, and keep in mind at this point that Miruko still does not know who Fuyumi is beyond ‘a pretty girl whose looking for her long lost sibling’. She has 0 (zero) idea that Fuyumi is a Todoroki, nor that the brother she’s looking for is also a Todoroki.

Anyways, the end result of this is Fuyumi gets introduced to the rest of the league of villains, including Dabi and Hawks, both of whom are losing their fucking minds while having to play it cool. Fuyumi doesn’t put together Dabi = Touya yet, because in the livestream and in the photos that Dabi took, his makeup completely covered up the scarring/staples. And also Dabi is avoiding her like the virus that forced him and Hawks to spend several weeks in quarantine together.

Twice and Fuyumi become friends, and tbh Fuyumi ends up befriending the entire league while she’s around. None of them are really sure why a pre-school teacher decided to become a villain, but they all just kind of assume she dealt with one too many Karen Moms and snapped. Regardless, she’s nice and also brings in homemade food fairly often so they’re all willing to completely overlook everything else.

Hawks probably tries to confront Fuyumi and get her to leave because he’s scared for her, but Fuyumi isn’t taking that for one second. She tells him that she’s onto him, and she knows he’s hiding her brother from her. Hawks can’t say shit without giving Dabi away, and given that Dabi is now his boyfriend who he promised he wouldn’t reveal to his siblings, he’s basically fucked.

So then we have Dabi trying to get Fuyumi out of the league safely without letting anyone know who either of them are. Hawks trying help Dabi but also keep his own cover. Twice and Miruko helping Fuyumi out, while being completely unaware that she’s Endeavor’s daughter, and that the person she’s looking for is Dabi. The rest of the league just sort of milling about, pretty sure there’s some drama going down but unwilling to do much about it.

Needless to say, it’s a fucking mess, and it only gets worse when everything starts to come together.

omg okay THANK YOU for asking because i have so many opinions on everything and i love giving them all the time. i am going to make what is essentially a tier list with the ones i think about the most, which is not what you asked for, but i am going to give it to you anyways. under the cut bc this got WAY out of hand

love with my whole entire heart:

kuroken: look. i just love childhood friends to lovers, sue me.

kenhina: truly, truly adore. they each draw a new and special kind of motivation and friendship from each other that they just don’t get from anyone else. the only reason this isn’t, like, my all time favorite is bc there’s not as much content that gets me hyped about it

bokuaka: you cannot tell me they aren’t in love and have me believe it, no matter what reasons you give me. the only annoyance i have with this ship is that i can’t figure out how to write a good fic about them, but it’s not like that’s their fault

iwaoi: one of my top bookmarked hq ships on ao3, not gonna lie to u

bokuroo: they’re the kinda friends to be like “guys we’re just friends, we kiss each other good night as bros, it doesn’t mean anything, all good friends r like this, we’re just comfortable in our masculinity/heterosexuality” until they realize they like each other, have a crisis about it in which they tell everyone around them but the other, and then get together after major meddling; and i just love that

def love but not As invested:

tsukkiyama: again, love the childhood friends to lovers thing going on, but it’s not really my favorite— if i’m gonna give it any attention, it has to be done Very well and with Very good characterization, which i think a lot of people miss the mark on

read one (1) fic that made me love it:

sakuatsu: i think that this is the explanation that everyone has for liking them tbh. the general potential of their relationship is really fun to explore. also i have a great time writing fics abt them (and that is the metric i use for almost everything)

kuroshou: i don’t even know how i got here, but i sure am here now.

eh not my thing:

kagehina: they’re platonic soulmates idk how you get romance from their dynamic tbh, i think a relationship between them would immediately implode. my 50k kagehina break up fic lives rent free in my head tho

matsuhana: they just don’t have enough screen time for me to care about a romantic relationship w them, but i respect it

osasuna: again, just not enough interaction for me to care much, but i’ve read them as a background pairing and it can be a fun dynamic

daisuga: probably ppl just want the team mom x team dad pairing, but it doesn’t quite hit with their canonical partnership

kuroo/tsukki: i have such a visceral hate for this pairing that i don’t even know their ship name.

atsuhina: i just?? why ???????

kyoutani/yahaba: ppl will ship anything that moves and it shows

realized while writing that i actually hate a lot of hq pairings, which is. Huh. so not everything i dislike is included, that would be an entirely different list. but also at the same time realized as i made this that i love more overlapping ships than i thought i did, which is interesting— this is the only fandom i’ve ever truly been a multishipper with, which is fun and cool of me i think
