Thought I'd post some more propaganda, since people are really getting mad at ONLY /u/Spez for this. For the people in the back that are still using Reddit- this is ultimately the reason why I left Reddit.

TL;DR: Yes, /u/spez is the CEO of Reddit, but now he's beholden to the true owners of Reddit- Literal white supremacists, Chinese businesses looking to subvert American democratic values, and businesses that are desperately looking for new ways to make money after a pandemic has gutted the people dry of all the money it could take.

Let's get a little Pepe Silvia in here, shall we? Setting mood music:

Reddit was originally founded by /u/Spez (real name Steve Huffman), Alexis O'Hanion, and Aaron Swartz (RIP). In 2006, Conde Nast bought Reddit. So, if you read Vogue, Pitchfork, Wired, Vanity Fair, & the New Yorker, you may have gotten some of the same content owned by the same company- just through a magazine rather than Reddit. Also, since June 2020, Conde Nast has claimed that their advertising revenue has gone down 45% have gone down dramatically since the pandemic, alongside the cancellation of major publications by Conde Nast. Buut in 2017, Reddit was made into an independent subsidiary by Advance Publications. Sounds like an innocent enough name, until you look at which companies these lovely people own:

That Charter Communication, is just a fancy name for the lovely ISP known as Spectrum- Better known to some of our older folks as Time Warner Cable. You know, one of the ISPs so hated in the United States that they actively changed their name so that people wouldn't recognize them doing their dirty work again?

The list is.... interesting. 2014: A group of investors, including Marc Andressen (an investor in nearly all of the major social media networks that exist), Peter Thiel (a literal white supremacist), and for some reason, Snoop Dogg and fucking Jared Leto. 2017: Advance Publications buys Conde Nast and subsequently Reddit, raising its valuation to about $1.8 billion. 2019: Tencent (you know, the CHINESE VIDEO GAME COMPANY THAT HAS BANNED PLAYERS FROM THEIR GAMES FOR SUPPORTING HONG KONG DEMOCRACY DEMONSTRATIONS) buys a 5% stake in the company. Did I mention that Tencent is also the largest gaming company in the world? 2021: Fidelity Investments(??? an insurance firm and mutual fund????) decides to add another $700 million to the pot, giving them a whole stake as well too. So, let's tie this all together. Yes, /u/spez is the CEO of Reddit, but now he's beholden to the true owners of Reddit- Literal white supremacists, Chinese businesses looking to subvert American democratic values, and businesses that are desperately looking for new ways to make money after a pandemic has gutted them dry. Of course Huffman is going to stay the course on this one- his job literally depends on it in the first place. All of the people that make this site (what other social media network do you know that doesn't pay it's mods and is valued at $10 billion dollars) ? have been tossed to the side in favor of making money. y/n l/n ⎯ initially bribed the landlord with their banana muffins to give them the two rooms on the 14th floor, can't tell if she regrets her decision after a certain roommate keeps getting noise complaints from the elderly woman living in the other unit.

hey everyone I am here to speak about my experience and will I retired from social media’s..

my experiences

DevaintArt, YouTube and tumblr

YouTube was the only platform for me to came on.. that being 2016 as U made an old account that is soon deleted.. the other account being 2022 is I sometimes make content for others to enjoy.. my most recent one was “stop adding butter” has more views than total..

DevaintArt was for me to have a platform for because I have some history of having friends and doing art that are old or new.. and mostly it was an beginning of being an artist isn’t that bad considering how old is your account.. around 2023 it was an horrible year and I don’t wanted to talk about it..

tumblr on one hand is seem to be an platform for me to enjoy sharing content/work.. but instead people on there do really care about trends and nothing about what to do so I made some arts and posts as my thing but at least I am still able to not be banned ever again because it hasn’t have the report or anything about it.. I have too many friends on DA, on tumblr I have one friend who is blo0st4r and on YouTube I have kidswe1487

Also I am not retiring in some way.. but I may look like I will but it’s not the case.. because If i did retired there isn’t necessarily for me to do that because.. I wanted share some art of my work and everything around me and the people.. that’s how people really feel about me whenever they needed the most..

Okay here is something I’ve been wanting to talk about.

I hate seeing people who have had their entire reputation and career in art destroyed by the Mods (Pony and Mal are just 2 of the examples I can think of) just sit there and watch the staff get so much recognition, love and support.

Mal is a genuine person, I’ve talked to them one on one many times and they’re absolutely amazing. I don’t know much about Ponyzilla because I frankly do not want to support them ban evading on toyhouse and drawing nsfw as a minor.

But atleast with Ponyzilla they somewhat fixed it by having people donate to them and Kina.

My thoughts on this situation is that, both Pony and Kina are massive artists, whilst I understand why they did it for Kina. But for Pony?? They have several other social medias they could just advertise their art on and probably already do that.

They destroyed any chance of some smaller artists like Mal to get what they deserve, appreciation and recognition. Their art is genuinely amazing. I think they deserve the same support they all gave Kina and Pony.

In fact not only should Mal get that support, recognition and appreciation. But other small artists should too.

I know this is old drama but I’ve been wanting to talk about this for a while.

im not really gonna touch specifically on pony and mal in the way you did because i just dont know them and i dont know much about them

BUT what i will say is that the way they were totally run down by terra staff (mainly coy and civ) was unforgivable

im not religious but like that whole “he who is without sin can cast the first stone” bs, like terra people forget how coy and civ both did really weird things, coy posted nsfw to their story (pic of a deer getting f//ngered with just a heart emoji over the butt to cover it) and civ posted nsfw on toyhouse as a minor (which is still up btw! you can scroll back in their gallery its there)

like they arent without fault either! but since theyre popular people kinda sweep it away and act like it doesnt exist

also remember when mal was in the chats was talking about how they got a new terra they liked (originally designed by coy) and civ came in like “uhmmmm not to be that person but arent u on coys blacklist, im sitting right next to them and they say u are so :/“ when at that point in time, mal was never on the public blacklist and it made a whole thing of it for nothing, like why do you want to cause problems so bad??

The irony is rich: Truth Social, Donald Trump’s Twitter copycat claiming it is “free from political discrimination,” has reportedly banned users who posted information from Thursday’s congressional hearing on the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol — in which the former president is a key focus.

That’s according to several posts on Twitter by users who claimed Truth Social was censoring them. Reps for Trump Media & Technology Group, which owns and operates Truth Social, did not respond to a request for comment.

Travis Allen, whose Twitter bio describes him as an information security analyst, on Thursday evening posted a screenshot from the Truth Social app that said “Account suspended,” and he wrote: “My Truth Social account was just permanently suspended for talking about the January 6th Committee hearings.”

He added, “So much for ‘free speech.’ This is censorship!” Allen did not provide details about what allegedly led to Truth Social kicking him off the platform.

“Seeing a lot of folks getting banned from Trump’s Truth Social for posting updates about the January 6 Committee hearings,” Max Burns, communications director for Democratic New York State Assemblywoman Yuh-Line Niou, tweeted Friday. “Apparently free speech has its limits even in Trumpland.”

Also Friday morning, another Twitter user reported, “Just put out my first post on Truth social and they deleted it. Real freedom of speech champs there.”

Truth Social’s terms of service state, “We reserve the right to, in our sole discretion and without notice or liability, deny access to and use of the service (including blocking certain IP addresses), to any person for any reason or for no reason… We may terminate your use or participation in the service or delete [your account and] any content or information that you posted at any time, without warning, in our sole discretion.” (Twitter’s terms of service include similar language.) In the U.S., under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, internet platforms like Truth Social have legal protections for their content-moderation decisions — a carve-out that Trump unsuccessfully sought to revoke when he occupied the White House.

Twitter permanently banned Trump in the days after the Jan. 6, 2021, riot citing the risk of ongoing violence after he posted a video praising the violent mob seeking to overturn the 2020 election. Billionaire Elon Musk, whose $44 billion bid for Twitter is pending, has called Twitter’s ban of the ex-President a mistake and a decision he would reverse.

Earlier this year, as a counter to the imagined anti-conservative bias of Big Tech, Trump launched Truth Social. It’s not clear how many users are on Truth Social. Trump currently has 3.2 million followers on the app; before he was banned from Twitter, he had more than 88 million followers.

As of March 31, 2022, Trump Media & Technology Group had not generated any revenue to date and has warned investors that “TMTG may never generate any operating revenues or ever achieve profitable operations.” Sarasota, Fla.-based TMTG had approximately 40 full-time employees as of the end of March, per a regulatory filing by Digital World Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) that intends to merge with TMTG.

At some point, Trump’s media company plans to launch a subscription-streaming service called TMTG+ with a range of right-wing and “non-woke” content, including “Trump-specific programming” as well as “blue-collar comedy” and “cancelled shows.”

TMTG is led by CEO Devin Nunes, the former Republican congressman who once unsuccessfully sued Twitter and anonymous parody accounts Devin Nunes’ Cow and Devin Nunes’ Mom, alleging defamation.

Trump also sued Twitter unsuccessfully. In a complaint filed last year, the ex-president and others asserted that Twitter was a “government actor” and therefore bound to the First Amendment’s prohibition against abridging freedom of speech — i.e., that Twitter’s ban on Trump was unconstitutional. A federal judge rejected that argument and dismissed the case last month.
