As much as a critisize the legend of korra (esp the first two seasons) i must say, Beginnings part 1 & 2 are the absolute best two episodes released in the entire Avatar series. The animation, the lore, the MUSIC. Everytime i watch these two episodes i get emotional. It's just so magical. "Haven't you heard the legends? I'm not a regular human anymore!" Lets all remember the one true fact, the most powerful characters in the avatar universe(atla, legend of korra, the whole universe from the first avatar) are all females!

And don't give me some bullshit about Aang being the avatar. Taking someones bending away forever doesn't make someone powerfull. Considering by legend of korra everyone basically can do it it seems. Or waterbenders. It's never explained. But aang is not that strong, Korra and Kyoshi are way stronger. Also Aang probably refuses to blood bend. He can be beat by someone who knows blood bending. Last thing to add the only reason the avatar is so powerful in the first place and even exists is the female spirit/being of light Raava. So in a way yes the most powerful being in a way is also female. Cause the avatar wouldn't be able to exist with out her. Thr glow, the power, the knowledge of all the past lives is all thinks to Raava. A female being.

So this was announced and my reaction just like almost everyone else’s was ‘what about Kuruk?’ Cuz like, my man has what 4 minutes of screen time in the shows while Roku had an entire episode about him. But then I thought about it a bit more and like… I wanna something about the avatar directly after Wan.

Hear me out cuz like when we talk about the avatars we know it’s always like when the avatar after Wan would have been born then no one would even know the cycle was a thing and the new avatar would probably have no idea what’s going on and I would have to balance the world with the wisdom of only one avatar (one that they probably won’t know they can even talk to) and think that could be really cool.

AVATAR: Way of Water

I kept my updates on this next installment limited and when it was finally time, with my ass in the theater seat listening to the unflattering fart noises as they recline, it hit me:

Finally, we go home to Pandora!

SPOILERS

The fact that we get the enemy's POV has me convinced we will evetually see character growth from Quaritch.

My prediction is that he will either be shunned for his failures or ostracized and persecuted for physically being a Navi and that will force him to reevaluate his loyalties. I for one think he would be a formidable ally to defeat the hostile colonization of Pandora. Can you imagine that family dynamic if Kiri marries Spider?? I'm giddy just thinking about it.

I was wondering if anyone else humors the theory that Grace, at the end of the first movie, went into her unborn child? Maybe there are two souls in one body and that's what makes Kiri so special.

The Tulkun were a stark reminder that whaling and overly excessive fishing still occurs and there are very real, magnificent, intelligent animals being slaughtered needlessly and at a rate that has already decimated the natural population. The fact that Cameron's message that humans destoryed earth and then arrive at Pandora doing the same destructive behavior speaks volumes on his view of humanity.

"This is very sad only."

Way of Water was a 3 hour gift that cast & crew gave of themselves all of their talent and I am so pleased with the results. Once more, I'm greedy, wanting more from this universe and ready to delve into part 2 again and again. Bravo nerds, bravo 👏 🙌 👍 👌
