you learn that the world is so much more complex than you were taught, and that that's okay, and that there's an endless supply of things you can learn or watch or experience or think about if you want to. if you're lucky, you loosen up, stop putting so much pressure on yourself. if you're lucky, you learn to recognize that negative inner voice, and whack it with a baseball bat until it hushes up. if you're lucky, you learn to treat yourself gently, not because you are fragile but because you are worthy of gentleness. (i hope you are lucky.)

and some things will change. some things will get better. some things will get good. and maybe you start to recover from the dehumanizing stress of childhood/education. maybe you learn the power of your own autonomy. maybe you learn how to walk away from bad situations (which is a superpower even if you don't realize it yet). and you get to choose your own clothes. and your own food. and which relationships to pursue! and what you do with your free time. and with your life (but don't worry you get to choose that gradually). and that's crazy! and sometimes scary. and extraordinarily, indescribably precious.

i think it’s the most funny and romantic thing ever that they’re so attracted to each other in dangerous/deathly situations. in both those scenes, they are an absolute mess - percy covered in dirt, blood, and spiderwebs, and annabeth covered in muck and sewer water - and yet they find each other so beautiful. they could literally be about to DIE, and yet all they’re thinking is “wow you look so hot right now.” i just love when they percabeth like that. they are so funny.

thinking of crafting accessories for aventurine, except they're made from beads—clearly nothing much in terms of price compared to his sparkling jewelries.

you hesitate, worried that he may not like your gifts, but he's like, "you can smack me in the face if i even dare to reject the gifts you made for me with your own two hands, because there's no way the real me would do something so stupid,"

when you finally presented the beaded accessories, aventurine covers his mouth in shock and his pupils just got 10x bigger—you can't blame him for being dramatic, he's never received such a pure gift, one without expectations for him to return the favor. oh how he feels like crying right now. he would gladly replaces all the sparkly golden rings and bracelets in his hands with the accessories you crafted with your own hands, just for him, with love. the whole thing is just so surreal to him.

from the moment the jewelries became his, he never ever takes it off!! not when he showers, not when he's in a meeting, and not when he gambles! in fact, he thinks of it as a lucky charm, carrying your wishes for him to always come home safe and sound!

and when they eventually broke, he will approach you, with eyes red from sobbing in guilt, and ask you if you will forgive him for the grave sin he committed (and if you're willing to make another one for him—maybe also another identical pair for yourself, so you two can match & everyone will know that he's yours!!!!)
