Thinking about steddie future where they're both just average guys. No rockstars, no basketball players just two Normal men living a normal life because honestly? they deserve it. They deserve soft domesticity and happiness.

They both have jobs they like but don't love and they're happy with that. Eddie maybe becomes an electrician, working for someone else's company. His coworkers are chill, he gets to get out and work with his hands and that's more than he could have asked for. Steve is a physical therapist, or a manager in some business. He likes his team and the steady hours. He's not working for his dad which is a plus.

They buy a house together, that's not a mansion but it's not a trailer either. Steve does a lot of the dishes because Eddie hates it, hates the feeling of old food on the plates and cutlery. So Eddie will kiss Steve on the cheek and does the laundry because Steve fucking hates laundry. And sitting on the floor watching TV while he folds clothes is honestly sort of relaxing?? Love is doing the chores your partner hates.

Steve and Robin go out for brunch at least once a month, where they catch up and gossip for hours and hours and Steve comes home lighter with updates on Robin and Vickie. Eddie will have nightly phone calls with Wayne, where they talk and laugh and Eddie will eventually hand the phone over to Steve so he and Wayne can talk sports together. When he's in town Dustin will come over and stay in their spare room and they laugh and joke so much it's just like old times. They go over to Jeff's house for dinner on a semi regular basis, and it's nice having normal friends.

They adopt a very annoying cat who will climb all over them in bed and meow in their faces when they don't wake up to feed it breakfast in time. Steve will go for jogs on a Saturday morning, coming home to Eddie reading in bed. Some old western book Wayne recommended to him. There's a steaming cup of coffee waiting on their bedside tables that Eddie's prepared.

They take time off of work and go on a week long vacation because they can do that now. They do dorky touristy things and Eddie buys a mug to send to Wayne. Steve takes a lot of dorky photos of the two of them.

Idk they deserve to be normal and alive and happy with no upside down anymore <3

Oh I love this! I had actually been thinking about tradesman Eddie for a little bit I am so, so glad you’ve come up with this!

I can so completely see him learning a trade and just getting employed and put through his time by a small local employer! He has to go through his exams and that part of it worries him when he first gets the job but his team end up being really supportive and Steve stays up late with him, practicing circuits and wiring and quizzing him on currents and volts. Eddie returning the favour, letting Steve mark up his muscles and be a living anatomy dummy. Sure it gets a little sexy from time to time but more often than not it’s just them testing each other as Steve identifies bones and Eddie talks about parallel circuits.

The monthly brunches mentally and physically revive Steve after working extended hours with patients that he really does want the best for but a jobs a job and it can get pretty tiring. They joke that they rebalance each others chakras but they really do feel realigned after their meet ups. Eddie can see it to, sometimes he’ll come pick them up when it’s been a boozy brunch and delights in seeing them happy and light, clambering over each other to tell Eddie something about one of the waiters or an especially good dish they ordered. When he drops Robin home Steve sits in the front and looks at peace and Eddie feels the same way.

Their weekends are for them, sometimes that means staying home and cleaning the whole place between ordering food in and sometimes that means going on a day trip and taking Wayne around all the antique spots around the county and seeing what horrors they can uncover. Top spot currently sits with Wayne’s find of a doll whose limbs had been replaced with horse legs and had the head of a fish. Of course they bought it.

Every time they go on a holiday they make sure to send postcards to everyone, including themselves, seeing if they’ll get home before the postcard does. Steve keeps them in a photo album, each with a Polaroid of them next to it. Sometimes taken by a stranger, sometimes just a close up of their faces squashed together. It’s Eddie’s favourite thing to go through on their anniversary, or any day really, just loves being reminded that this is the life they get to have.

It’s mundane, dare say even normal, but they love it. Steve comes home every night, happy to put his scrubs in the washing machine next to Eddie’s uniform, happy to be where he feels loved.

There are four main types of Batfam fans in regard to how people interpret Bruce Wayne as a dad (/Joking. This is mostly satire and should not be taken seriously):

Fans that think Bruce is emotionally constipated and isn't the best at being a parent but still tries (Differs per person). Don't necessarily think he's absuive but thinks he can be toxic or have unhealthy expectations for the Robins. Can smell the Oldest Daughter Syndrome coming from Dick and have Family Line (By Conan Gray) as their top song on their Dick inspired playlist and Daddy Issues (By The Neighbourhood) for Jason.

Fans that choose to believe Bruce goes to therapy in their own canon. Love B:WFA. Thinks the comic can be cheesy at times and so find a balance between B:WFA Bruce and Please Go To Therapy BruceTM as their middle ground. He struggles. They advocate that Bruce is not a bad parent, he just has bad writers that seem to forget Bruce wouldn't hurt kids, especially not his own. Love the humane moments and scenes he has in BTAS and the early JL cartoons. He may not be perfect but he's not literally abusive. Whores for Bruce being able to admit when he is wrong and for Jason and Bruce reconciling. I recommend Grow As We Go by Ben Platt for this one.

A mix between the first two. Was fine-ish when Dick was younger. Didn't help him in the healthiest way but eh. Still emotionally constipated but that happened more so after Dick left and Jason died. Started getting better when Tim came back but was still closed off. Should probably go to therapy with the kids so they can drag his ass about all the things he's done that have actually affected them negatively. Understands his mistakes and is also able to admit when he's wrong, eventually. It's not easy but he starts to do better and learns to be more emotionally available. Still has to get chewed out by Alfred sometimes but definitely better than he used to be and it shows. Reconciliation is slow and gradual but progress is made for everyone involved.

The one's I personally avoid for my own sanity and wellbeing:

Think Bruce is a complete bastard and abuser. Want him to choke. Hate any and all interpretations of him. Some of which will refuse to understand how anyone could have a different interpretation. Will point out comics where, in all fairness, he is a dick but forget that characterisation can significantly differ from one series to the next, as comic characters are constantly passed around to different writers and have been for decades. Not to mention movies, shows, etc.

Bruce - So, came to earth Superman-style where he was in a pod that crashed into someone’s yard, this being the Wayne’s backyard, where they just kind of took him in as their strange metal-child Still human-ish sized, if a little tall- so more of how the cassettes were sized in the original animated series & I wanna say he’s originally designed for subterfuge & information gathering Design-wise I am thinking he has antennae of sorts on his head that mimic the cowl’s “ears” and honestly I think he should keep the cape because that’s just sort of iconic & he definitely uses it to hide his form, since while most would assume armor someone might notice eventually he isn’t exactly fleshy His holloform is definitely designed after the two Waynes, seeing as they raised him for several years alongside Alfred (Fuck it they were probably together as a poly trio) No clue for what he transforms into, but I am tempted for either some sort of drone or a well, bat, or some combination of the two, like a cybertronian bat-creature 

Kate - She definitely also came from a pod & is from the same parents as Bruce, though I wanna say she landed/crashed a bit later than him, hence why they claim they’re cousins in human/holloform I want to say she’s more battle-designed than Bruce, while he’s more designed to go unseen and gather whatever info- though who knows with how they’re not exactly on cybertron anymore- hence why she has a hint more color than him Once more, no clue of what she’d transform into, but I do think she’s slightly larger than B in their normal cybertronian bodies & has the same antennae-horns as him (I am open to ideas for her) 

Ace - Now Bathound, the doggo boi, usually a normal dog, but I am just saying that the other transformers did straight up build other cybertronians from the dinobots to the aerialbots to trypticon, though they need the Allspark (which is back on Cybertron) to create full on minds/souls (in most cases) 

Now I'm not sure if Alfred would be a normal human dude, or if I should make him an old-ish cybertronian as well who turns into one of those older jets.

It's sad boy hours, so as any sane person would do let's consult fictional bears that do not exist. 😀👍

Normal Fred: Upon seeing you upset, he'd probably be like "What's the matter, who was it?" even if he wasn't 100% sure you were sad. If you were up to talking with him, he'd make sure the others knew not to bother you two until you were done. No matter what you were upset about, you'd reach a compromise. Especially if it was because of one of the others in the pizzeria. This man is probably the most stone-cold, resting bitch face of the Freddies, but man would he fight for you. and I mean fight. He'd get into heated arguments with the others if they were to have caused you discomfort. And god forbid they caused you bodily harm. But, regrettably, if you didn't want him to do anything about this, he'd respect that too.

Toy Fred: When he sees you upset, he turns his entire attention to you, no matter if he's playing his game, talking to someone or anything. If you're sad, you're now his top priority. If you need to vent about things, you can. But that's after he makes sure you're not physically hurt and after he brings you to a comfier more 'suitable' place for you to calm down (probably somewhere where it's just you and him). I feel like he's pretty emotional, so by the end of it he'd either be smiling with you now that you're happy, or he'd be upset with you and would keep you close until the both of you felt better.

Withered Fred: (Let's just say you were hiding away somewhere, probably in the bathroom or smth) He would have been looking for you for a while, asking all the others if they had seen you (even going as far as to ask the toys) when they all said they didn't know he kinda assumed you had gone home, but he continued to look just in case. Once finding you he'd kinda be a bit surprised, not really knowing what to do. Even if you weren't crying he could definitely tell you weren't in the best state of mind. I think his first thought would be to hug you. He would definitely tell you that you can talk to him, but he probably won't give good advice, and most times he doesn't, he just can't relate to most things. But he would sit there and listen to you all day if you needed to.

Funtime Fred: Seeing you upset sends a spiral of emotions through his head, the main ones being anger and guilt. Who did this? Why wasn't he there to protect you from it? What happened? ect... He'd just stare at you for a moment, a blank expression on his face. Your moving would probably be the thing to snap him out of it. His first question would be if you were alright. And he doesn't necessarily mean mentally. This is him asking if you were hurt, When seeing you like this his brain immediately jumps to you being injured and him just not being there quick enough. But once telling him the real reason he'd calm down, letting you cry into his chest or even just sparking up a small conversation to make you laugh. He hates seeing you down like this, he always feels partially responsible. But no matter the reason you're upset, he's dead set on making you feel better. Rockstar Fred: He'd kinda just take it as a joke at first, Seeing you sat at your desk with an upset face was actually something he's seen quite a bit, just from being generally annoying and you get irritated. But this was different, and he learned that pretty quick. And would probably go into a sort of 'panicked' state, not really knowing what to do, but when he realised that wasn't helping he quickly calmed himself down, before kneeling in front of your chair and grabbing your hands, his voice softer than usual. He'd tell you how he's not really equipt for this, and he doesn't know how much he can help, but he's here for you. And you can tell him anything. Especially if it's something he's done to upset you. Kinda like Withered Fred, he doesn't really know how to sympathise with you on some things, but if he can sympathise with you he'd share his thoughts. And of course, he'd 100% be up to becoming a cuddle buddy for the day if that's what you need.

Lefty: If he were to see you upset, he'd probably also think it's a sort of prank at first, looking around for the punchline, but realise quickly that it isn't and would slowly walk over to you, acting normal for the most part before he asks if you're alright. No matter the answer he'd come over and stand beside you, looking at you, before tilting your head to look at him. "What's the matter, [y/n]?" He'd ask gently, observing the way you reacted before either listening to everything or pulling you into his arms. Either way, it would probably end up with him being partially overprotective of you for the next hour or so, feeling like he was obligated to keep you happy.

Glamrock Fred: He'd act a lot like Toy Fred in a sense, with his entire attention turning to you and being willing to move to a separate place so it would be easier for you to talk to him. But unlike toy Freddy he'd try not to overwhelm you with questions, feeling like that wouldn't help you in the slightest. He's definitely the most equipped for this sort of thing, like it was even up for debate wanting you to feel better again. He'd sit there and let you talk, he'd listen and even give advice. No matter the reason you were upset he'd try to deal with it. Was it someone in the Pizza Plex? He'd deal with it. Was it something outside of the Pizza Plex? He'd try his best to sort it. And if it was something he did? He'd compromise. You were very special to him and he didn't want to lose you. Over anything.

A little bonus for the Rockstar Freddy fans:

I feel like he wouldn't be totally up for physical affection around the others. Especially not cuddling cuddling. But if you were upset, he wouldn't give it a second thought. Either laying down somewhere comfortable for the both of you, letting you use him as a pillow, or carrying you around like nothing as you just relaxed in his arms it didn't matter, as long as it made you feel better. This is probably the calmest anyone has ever seen him too. He didn't want to be his usual loud self, so he'd either only talk to people he knew he could tolerate or just not talk to anyone but you, as to not scare you or upset you further.
