I feel so sick and tomorrow is my actual 18th birthday. I legit have a lot to unpack.

Like turns out I was actually faking my age so I could access information that is restricted behind censorship. But just as I turn 18, this type of age faking will be made illegal in my country. Luckily I won’t be affected I think.

But also I have like homework that deals with an extremely serious topic that is hidden behind a supposed WLW story. Like I thought it was about love but it turns out it’s actually about a serious war that my parents have lost people to.

FML cuz like not only am I finally 18, but I also have so much homework, responsibilities and got sick.

Also I can legally swear now! But I prefer not to as it is banned in my school.

TLDR: I was faking being 18 but now I biologically am and got sick with a lot of homework about traumatic subjects that I have to complete on my birthday.

every since i was a little girl i’ve begged my parents to go to great wolf lodge, for 5 straight years i begged them then we moved out of state and down to florida so i stopped asking.

when we moved back to my og state where i grew up i was 13 and started asking to go again every year. for my 16th birthday my mom caved, said “fine but pick a different indoor water park because great wolf is too expensive for what it is” i settled for kalahari, like every birthday it was lackluster at best.

for the first time in seventeen years my mother made my favorite cake for my birthday and i sat in my boring house with people who didn’t really care that it was my birthday and i hated it.

i’m turning 18 this coming february and i proposed paying for myself and my friends plus one of their parents to go because i knew my mother wouldn’t want to and she was planning a trip to colorado for the summer for a mix between graduation and my birthday(i graduate in january). i resigned myself to not feeling like it was for my birthday and that if i wanted anything nice i’d have to make it happen for myself.

out of fucking nowhere she jumps on my great wolf train, prices it for her my father and my two younger brothers, one is a teen one is in kindergarten. no regard for the fact that i wanted to stay for multiple days and get the big packages to do everything and that i specifically wanted it to be an event for me and my friends since i was becoming an adult and this was going to be my last hurrah.

i had to tell her that my friends wouldn’t want to stay with us in a hotel room with a 5 year old, when she asked what she wanted me to do about it i told her i would rather not go at all.

she told me “fine fuck you”.

for 17 straight years i have sobbed my little pathetic heart out on my birthday and this next one is going to be no different because in my entire life she has never actually cared about my birthday and has only ever used it to make herself look good in front of the adults around her.
