You felt another blanket being placed on your body.

- Chim, I think that's enough, but thank you. - you breathed out sleepily, as Jimin carefully lays down next to you on the mattress placed on the floor.

- No, love! It's freezing. We need to make sure you don't catch a cold. That wouldn't be good considering you are 28 weeks.

He was right. Your tiny apartment was located in the poorest part of town, where cutting the water or gas was done weekly by authorities, since there was always something wrong with the system. Now not even the tiny heater in your miniature room was radiating any warmth, meaning the only things keeping you and your baby growing inside your womb warm were those few blankets you had.

- This was our last blanket though... now you have none. - you extended your hands, motioning him to lay under your blankets.

He hesitantly lifted the blankets and slipped under them, wrapping his protective arms around your waist to scoot you closer to his body. Of course, he was mindful of your bump, making sure not to crush your little one inside. A warm smile spread across his face, as he felt the baby wiggle against his torso. Moments like this reminded him, that rich, or not, life was beautiful.

- Now, go to sleep, okay? - ha pleaded, while softly caressing your hair and back. - You need a lot of rest.

- Okay... - you yawned. - But you too! Night.

- I hate that you still go to work.

- Jimin, we talked about this before! Women in my condition usually have maternity leave around their last month. I just started my seventh month, we have 3 left. - before he could cut you off, you continued. - Besides, we can't afford to have minus one working hand. We need the money. I already quit one of my jobs.

- Then I'll get another job.

- A fourth one? There's no way I'm letting that happen!

- Jagi...

You cut him off with a kiss. That kiss brought him comfort and reassurance. He still didn't like the fact that even after the doctor told you you were a bit underweight and should make sure you didn't lose any more if you wanted the baby to be healthy, you were still on your feet all that at work, which also included some physical labor. Ever since that day, he would skip meals, so you could eat more. Of course, he never told you this, because he knew you'd never let him do that.

- Good night!

- Good night, Love! - then he put his free hand on your tummy. - Night, night baby!

- Mrs. Park, - your doctor sighed. - even though you made some progress compared to last time, you still seem a little underweight. I want you to keep in mind that malnutrition doesn't only affect the fetus' development but can also send you into premature labor.

These were definitely news that you expected to hear at your 32-week check-up, and you had plenty of time to prepare yourself, but you still couldn't stop the tears from escaping your eyes. These facts being said out loud sent shivers down your spine and made your heart fill with worry for your precious baby.

Tears kept running and running down your red cheeks and no one was there to wipe them away. Jimin had work, which he couldn't miss, and the old lady, who called herself a doctor definitely wasn't the one who would calm you down. She was extremely unsympathetic. You just wished your husband was there, holding your hand.

The gynecologist printed out your ultrasound pictures and handed you the papers which contained the updates on your and the fetus' health.  

You didn't have a car. None of you. So you had to walk all the way home, burning calories, which you couldn't afford to burn. But you had no other option. On your way to your apartment, you stopped in front of a bakery, just staring inside of the showcase, debating whether or not you should spend those few bucks you brought with you, on some nourishing pastries for yourself... more for your baby. The debate was obviously determined when you set your thin hands on your bump and felt your bundle of joy wiggle around. A soft, but sad smile appeared on your lips, and you went inside.

-

You sat in your scummy kitchen, munching on one of the cheese biscuits you bought earlier, when you hear the squeak of the front door, signaling that your husband was home. About time... it was 10 PM.

-  Hi, My Love!

He took his shoes off and hugged you, caressing your back and pressing a gentle hand on your bump.

- How did your appointment go?

- It went great. - you lied.

- Can I see the papers?

You froze. Oh no! That will give everything away.

- Uhm... I lost it.

- Jagi... Please don't lie to me, okay?

You realized that there was no reason to lie to your husband any further. You dug deep into your duffel bag you've been taking with you everywhere for years now. The time took a toll on it as well. The rips and lose threads were becoming more and more evident.

In the end, you pulled out the folded medical papers, which will soon reveal your little secret to Jimin.

He carefully read through the words, making sure he wasn't missing any detail.

You didn't dare to look at him. You were scared. you expected scolding from him, words that would send you tears.

Instead, you just felt thin arms wrap around you and delicate hands running up and down your bump.

- Oh Jagi! - he breathed.

You couldn't help the tears. You were an emotional mess. Relief, sadness, worry, guilt...

- A-are you m-mad?

- No, no! I'm not, baby.

He carefully lifted you and slipped under you n the chair, so he could set you on his lap. He turned your head to look him in the eye and was quick to wipe the tears away, which were continuously pouring onto your shirt. He just kept wiping and wiping them.

- I'm just so worried, Jagi... But... don't you worry, My Love, okay? We'll work on it. You'll be fine! Perfectly healthy!

- Love! I'm home! - he said as he closed the door.

- Chim? - you breathe out shakily.

Jimin could immediately sense the discomfort in your voice, so he is quick to get into the tiny bathroom your voice could be heard from.

He dropped everything he had on him the moment he saw your distressed figure on the floor hunched over the toilet, hands on your 34-week bump, and rat to your side.

- Baby! It's okay, let it all out!

- I haven't been able to keep anything down today.

- Oh God! Why didn't you call me?

- I don't have any money on my phone... I couldn't call anyone.

Jimin cursed at himself for forgetting to charge money on your phone. It was a very dangerous move from him, especially now that you are nearing the end of your pregnancy.

- I'm having a contraction... - you panted as you clutched your abdomen, still sitting on the floor.

His hands carefully flew to rest on your stomach as he felt around. Your bump was rock-hard. He panicked. You weren't full-term yet.

- Are you sure? Maybe they are just Braxton hicks... - he held onto the last bit of hope he had.

- I'm not sure... I hope though. - you straightened your posture as the tight feeling in your stomach eased. - Chim... - tears started streaming from your eyes. - These don't feel like Braxton hicks. My baby...

- Shhh... It's alright, don't worry. We'll get you to the hospital.

-

- Mrs. Park, you are now in pre-term labor, but we can give you medication that might extend your pregnancy by a few more days or weeks.

- How much does it cost? - you ask, laying in the uncomfortable hospital bed with pink and blue bands strapped around your bump, which attached little machines to your skin to detect the baby's and your vitals.

- No! She'll have it! - Jimin said with much confidence.

- Chim...

You could barely afford the hospital bills for your labor and delivery. You didn't need to add any more to that sum.

- Can we get a moment, please? - your husband addressed your doctor.

- Of course. - she walked outside.

Jimin sat down next to you on the bed, his eyes flaming as he stared at the bands and machines attached to your still small bump. At least compared to how far along you were. Baby didn't weigh much and you were supposed to work on that in the remainder of your pregnancy.

And while Jimin's stare was livid, he stroked your hand and talked in the most gentle way possible.

- You are getting that medicine. I'm not letting my baby have potential risks or even die!

- I know, Ji-

The next contraction hit you out of nowhere. You curled around your hardened stomach and gripped Jimin's shirt.

- Breathe, breathe! - he whispered.

- I know, - you started as the contraction ended. - and it's the last thing I want as well. But tell me honestly how will we pay for that. That shit is expensive and we d-don't even have baby products yet.

That's when the tears spilled.

- It's okay, - he wiped your eyes. - I'll make sure everything is perfectly fine. You'll have that medicine and won't worry about the bills. I'll sort everything out.

His tone calmed you a bit, just enough to stop crying. But it didn't free you from the concern you felt about your child's well-being.

Your husband called the doctor back in, who immediately started preparing the procedure.

- No, no! - you whined. - No needles, Chim...

- Shhh... - he stroked your hair. - Just focus on me. Think about how is you are strong now, we'll have a strong baby in a few weeks.

So you did. You were strong and the IV was in, pouring some fluid into you. You didn't look at it, but you were nauseous non the less.

Just in time, a nurse assisting the doctor shoved a bowl in front of you. You let out the contest of your stomach. You didn't know you had anything left in you, and now, vomiting with Jimin tying your back with an emergency hair tie on his wrist, then rubbing your back.

- We're going to wait now and see how your contractions turn out. If they stop, we'll do a check on the baby and determine whether you are safe to go back home or now. If they continue to progress, we'll get ready for delivery.

So you waited there in the arms of your husband. Breathing through contractions and praying. Praying that the medicine worked and that your baby is okay.

Hours went by, but the constant pains tormenting you never stopped.

- Mr. and Mrs. Park, I'm afraid there's no other solution, we have to go through with the delivery.

Your heart ached. You wished you could give your beloved child, whom you haven't seen yet but lived with everything you had, a bright future. You wanted them to grow up in comfort and love at the same time. These are things you got to experience in your life, only never at the same time. Comfort you had while in the care of your parents, but love you only ever found when comfort was taken away, with Jimin.

A strong contraction ripped through your abdomen, squeezing your helpless baby inside. Jimin was close to tears himself.

- Breath, beautiful. You've got this. - he whispered with a broken voice.

You would have thought that this little gesture (him reminding you to breath) would be useless and would only agitate you, but thanks to him you realized you've been holding your breath which didn't help with the pain. As soon as you were reminded by him you let as much air into your lungs as possible and that relieved a lot of pressure from your stomach.

At some point the pain got extremely bad. No matter what you did, walking around, or squatting, the pressure was worse than ever amd could no longer be relieved by breathing.

- Wow, that was a big one. - the nurse exclaimed as she inspected the red line on the monitor, possibly measuring the intensity of your contractions. - How do you feel about some kind of pain relief?

The word "yes" was at the very tip of your tongue, it wanted to escape faster than light travels. But a voice, that has been chanting the same word over and over again since the day of your engagement, stopped you. Money.

- What do you suggest? - your husband asked after seeing your doubtful gaze.

-No... Ugh... I- W-we can't... - you huffed in the middle of feeling your baby squirming in discomfort as your belly hardens again.

- What do you suggest? - Jimin asked again, this time with a much more impatient voice, ignoring your protests.

- At this point it would be too late for the epidural, but I would recommend either oxygen, or gas. Oxygen is great for your lung capacity, helping you with breathing, amd gas kind of works like a drug. It's completely harmless of course, it has a numbing effect, so your brain can't process pain the way it is now, making it seem less intense.

- Jim-Jimin! You no we can't-

- We'll take oxygen.

After a bit of time and a lot of convincing from your husband, the nurse brought all the equipment needed and soon you had a mask-like plastic thing in your hand. She showed you how to use it and you were good to go. You were hesitant at first, but after feeling the difference it made, you couldn't resist anymore.

Jimin was relieved to see you have some break from the constant torture. That break, however, didn't last long.

A sudden strange urge and pressure broke you from your relaxed state. Your water broke and the contractions, which brought your baby so low, came almost immediately after each other.

- I ned to PUSH! - with that last word you were pushing, there was no going back.

Jimin worriedly smacked the calling button above your head, and 3 nurses entered the room, taking their places around you like the professionals they were.

They quickly understood that you prefered being encouraged with gentle words, not like some who needed them to shout like a football coach. You were scared for your baby, who would be born prematurly into this cold world, without a warm home, without a place to sleep. Damn... you don't even have a crib yet.

The only thing that allowed you ta stay focused was the thought of your little baby being in your arms, and Jimin's heartwarming words. These two pushed you forward.

- IT BURNS! - you scream in pure agony.

- Push through it! It means you're doing it right. - one of the nurses assured.

To be honest you couldn't tell the difference between them at this point. You could barely even see, your vision was so blurred by the tears pouring down your cheeks.

- We're so close baby! So, so close. It'll all be over.

Oh how wrong he was...

Once this part comes to an end the rest and most difficult part begins.

Several pushes and one last scream later the pain faded into nothing and for the first time in your life, you smiled when a baby cried.

You remember countless times when on long plane rides a baby was close to you on an aircraft you silently cursed at all living species on Earth. You would do so again when you realize you forgot to bring your headphones, and you'd have to listen to the annoying wailing sounds of an uncontrollable infant. Now, however, it was the world's most wonderful sound.

He was alive, breathing, gunky and slimy, just covered in all kinds of birth fluids, but he was the most beautiful thing that's ever existed on this planet.

You became a mother.

A mother to a child whose father is the love of your universe. You chuckled at the silly thought. Of course, how else would it be?

Your beautiful newborn son was placed on your chest and his warmth made you forget all the hardships you've faced and the ones you'll have to face once this moment is over. He was tiny but had a healthy set of lungs and an even healthier heart, which was all you cared about. His squished face scrunched even more with his cries. You were in love for the second time in your life. You never thought your love could get bigger, you imagined becoming a mother would split your love into two, half for your husband, half for the new addition to the family. But you were so wrong!

- Our little son. - the voice of your husband pulled you out of the state of mind you were in. He pulled you out to be with him. Him and your son so you could enjoy these moments with those who matter. Who you live for.

- Thank you Jimin...

Quiet love

A/N: a short drabble about basking in the quiet moments of love.

Genre: Fluff, pure fluff.

The soft tunes of low gentle music sweep through the dimly lit room. The night made it's entrance some time ago and you quietly listen to the music while laying on bed.

Burying your face in the crook of his neck, you rest your palm on his stomach and pull his body closer, smiling at the sound of his satisfied sigh, which is followed by a low hum. You can feel the warmth of his body seeping through your clothes, placing a soft kiss on the back of his neck when he grips onto your hand.

"Comfortable?" You ask, basking in the feeling of his fingers playing with yours. He once again hums while brushing his lips feathery light on your palm. "More than." His voice drifts off into a whisper and you lace your fingers with his. "Good." You mumble against his skin, pulling his leg over yours in the meantime.

No words are spoken after that, two souls basking in the safe space of eachothers hearts.

I always find the difference between international and korean shippers/supporters interesting. I know you don't read fanfiction but on ao3 (the biggest international ff site) taekook is always the most written about bts ship and I just came across a reddit post that on the Korean version of ao3 jikook is the biggest male kpop ship. I think the distinction always gets me because k-army showed me that it's not just a cultural difference but there IS something there

We all know that the dating culture in Korea is quite unique, special, and very active, and the dynamic between Jimin and Jungkook resonates a lot with that dating culture. Whether it's the way they talk to each other, their tendency to wear the same clothes or coordinate their outfits, the way they look at each other, or the special dates they spend together, etc.

It's common to see the Korean side of Jikook fans going crazy over the way Jungkook says Jimin's name, for example. Many have tried to explain that it's not just what he says but how he says it. The tone of his voice or the onomatopoeia of his expressions are highlighted.

That's why interactions between Jimin and Jungkook are widely used in "Y/N" or "self-insert" stories in Korea.

Colour : Jimin

I think about Colour : Freedom part of the photo folio a lot. It's literally my roman empire. I think about it at least thrice a day. (Contd.)

Perhaps I wouldn't think about it so much if it was just for an album concept. But we know that all photo folios were self directed. The members had full creative freedom and creative help. Jimin decided to show us 'parts of himself'. He called this particular look 'unrefined boy' and even compared this look to HYYH concepts. For some reason, Jimin has always been attached to HYYH, that album holding a very special meaning for him. Even tattoed 'young forever' on himself. I digress.

So they had full creative freedom to decide the elements put into this photoshoot. And one CANNOT argue that he just did what the stylists asked him to. Jimin won't let these elements into a photoshoot that shows sides of 'HIMSELF' if he wasn't aware of the implications. The lights, the symbolism, the outfits, the temporary tattoos, the props. I repeat, these photos are not for an album or a magazine or a song or a commercial. They're just to represent him. Some other members decided to do more conceptual/fictional shoots- jk with vampire aesthetic, V with vintage european aesthetic, jin with concepts related to sea. But Jimin clearly said he wanted to show different sides of himself.

Now one might say, he was just trying to show his 'gender neutral charm'. But there are so many ways to do that, instead of inserting obvious queer elements. We have other 'gender neutral' charm artists and kpop idols. He could have just shown the feminine and masculine sides, busts of artemis, apollo with gender neutral clothes. But he had to write 'free love' on his arm, and wear THAT t-shirt.

Same with the Robert Mapplethorpe pants in Like Crazy MV. He won't wear pants with some dude's face on it, for the title song about his own experience, for an album about his own self, and NOT ask the stylist about the face on his pants. The same pants that will be immortalised in Youtube forever in his debut title track MV. Jimin knows who that dude is. A 1-minute google search will tell you that Mapplethorpe was a well known celebrity photographer, famous for striking bnw photos and controversial shoots. Notable ones being - the one where he blurs the boundaries of genders, female and male nudes, gay male BDSM photography etc.

I remember how once there was massive backlash on BTS because one of the members was seen wearing a tshirt with the Japan atom bombs attack print on it with the text 'liberation of korea'. I might be wrong. But that made a lot of noise and even a BTS radio show in japan was cancelled. So you cannot tell me that bts members are not careful with what they wear, especially after that incident.

I know a lot of 'woke' armies said we shouldn't assume things about him. But..we aren't blind either. So I guess it's -

If you get it, you get it. If you don't, you don't.

We'll never get to see all the layers of his personality on camera and that's alright. And no, we'll never ever get to know any possible queer life experience related to him. (Keyword: possible) There are limits to what he shows to fans.

Thinking of putting down some more thoughts on the entire photofolio. I observed there's a story in it too. Maybe someday.

PS: I hope you realise that I'm not talking from a shipper perspective. That is about something Jimin is actively expressing, not about what fans speculate/analyse. This post is about Jimin and Jimin only.

I've noticed that PJMs REALLY hate jikook and jkkrs, I've literally even seen some of them parrot taekook narratives and rhetoric about Jungkook not liking Jimin and such (which is crazy to me, why would they ever believe anything tkkrs of all people have to say about something related to JM!). Even though JJK1 was just announced, I've seen a whole portion of them raging about jkkrs suddenly today. They're also saying most of them are JK biased, but I'm pretty confident the majority of jkkrs are JM biased actually, and I thought that was well known. Do you think there's a specific reason it's like this? I feel like a lot of KTHs and JJKs are tkkrs, or at least have gotten along with them. But it's definitely not the same with PJMs and jkkrs.

Hi Anon,

Just as a general rule, I'm incapable of taking solo stans of any member seriously. There are some groups in k-pop where it makes sense to be a solo stan. But for a group like BTS, to be a solo stan is an automatic failed IQ and EQ test, in my opinion. And PJMs are no exception.

So, I kinda don't want to waste any time on this ask given the subject is PJMs / solo stans, but you sent this ask a while ago and I'm in a mood... I'll take a gander at it.

Why do PJMs hate Jungkook, jikook, and jokers?

The self-inserts who recognize that Jungkook is a real and constant presence in Jimin's life, and likely will always be. Jungkook is a person who many times occupies the space many imagine a spouse or significant other would take with Jimin. A lot of people in the fandom see this, including PJMs, and for the solo stans who love Jimin a little too much, Jungkook's very existence is a thorn in their side.

The psychos with zero sense of boundaries who have deluded themselves into thinking they get a say in determining what is best for Jimin. Some PJMs don't think Jungkook is a good friend to Jimin, much less a good spouse/partner. They find him inadequate of being paired with their god, Jimin, by their personal arbitrary standards. JK doesn't shower Jimin with enough attention, affection, deference, reverence, etc, by their own standards. They hold every slight or minor disagreement jikook have ever had, against Jungkook in perpetuity, because how dare he act like a teenage boy talking back to Jimin (or whatever) when he should be glad the mighty Jimin breathed in his direction?

The overprotective mother hens who feel powerless to hold Jimin antis responsible in their stan environments, so they transfer the blame to Jungkook. Some JJKs suffer from the above two mental ailments plaguing PJMs, and are objectively disgusting towards Jimin. Of course none of that is Jungkook's fault, but some PJMs choose to blame him for their behaviour anyway. This faction of solo stans (and shippers) who act like this are so pathetic, I won't waste any more time getting into it.

Jikookers get heat from PJMs because they celebrate a relationship that most PJMs view through the lens of the above three points. Jokers are automatically bad for wanting Jimin in a relationship that is obviously bad (see above), and what's worse is jokers don't really support Jimin enough (based on the standards set by solo stans...).

Some shippers (and jikookers) are vile fetishizers, and are legitimately hated by anyone with half a working brain, at least, and so like a broken clock that's right twice a day, PJMs sometimes sniff out the jikookers who honestly belong in a jail cell. Here, I say the hate is justified. But again, that's more the exception to the rule.

In terms of bias splits with jikookers, what I've observed is most are double biased with Jimin and Jungkook. Taekookers however swing more fully to being majority Tae-biased, and the fall out from the Taennie reveal more or less confirms that for me. The JJKs who get along with KTHs are able to do that better than with PJMs, because I doubt any of them see Taehyung as real competition to Jungkook. To be blunt. Jimin has always pulled in significant attention for his unusual tone and feather-light vocals, his dancing ability is peerless, and his personality endears him to everyone who comes across BTS. Jimin reigned supreme in Korea and internationally in terms of popularity since debut, and in the last 5 years, has shared this more with Jungkook, and to a lesser degree with Taehyung. With Tae, it's only since 2017 I saw an uptick in his popularity within the fandom and outside it, and his Chinese fanbase since 2018 has been a big reason for this, actively working to match his status with Jimin and Jungkook. But even then, at least in Korea, Jungkook's only real competition in BTS is Jimin, and so his solo stans have a harder time getting along with PJMs, than with KTHs. This isn't something I usually pay attention to because I'm not nearly as sensitive to it as solo stans are, but I've got eyes and can see.

Anyway...

With a group like BTS, there are certain people who are guaranteed to always be angry and/or miserable for as long as the group is active - and yes BTS as a group is still active in Chapter 2. These types of people include homophobes; the mantis who believe they know how to manage BTS better than BigHit; people who don't like ARMY or don't like BTS mentioning ARMY; and solo stans of every variety; among others. Anyone with any of these inclinations is bound to either stop following BTS and k-pop completely, or will end up as a full blown anti who spirals further into degeneracy.

I'd ignore them if I were you, though in Chapter 2 I can understand why this could be difficult to do.

I'll assume this anon genuinely wants to know and isn't trying to play this as some sort of 'gotcha' because I addressed this exact thing in my very first ask. It's not like I'm not playing fair. I've been very honest about how shippers in general, including t/kers can fall victim to reading too much into nothing due to misunderstanding of Korean language, culture or current political and social state of the country

I'm sure there may be some t/kers reading or finding this whose feelings I've also hurt by speaking plainly.

Anon, do you not think it weird how Dispatch hyperfocus on Taekook even though apparently j/kook are the most popular ship domestically, Jimin is the most popular Bangtan member domestically and j/kook as a ship is immensely popular in their own right worldwide?

Dispatch do seem particularly fond of Taehyung so perhaps that is where their interest lays in his most popular ship BUT it still remains fact that the ship they've decided to throw their publicity behind is Taekook so the POSSIBILITY of them sitting on more conrecte information cant be ruled out--but to make it clear once more, Dispatch would NEVER make any direct claims about a same sex idol relationship at this point because as I said, the backlash could lead to a legitimate risk to people's lives (in terms of harming ones self) the resulting pressure from such an exposure could be devastating to an idol's career and wellbeing.

All you will ever get from Dispatch in that regard is things that can be passed off as engagement tactics or fanservice---though the point was as a counter to someone else's claim that j/kook were the most popular pairing. If that's true and the point is just engagement then why aren't they going straight to the top demographic? Why aren't they even dividing that attention between all the popular Bangtan ships?

And Dispatch is still a Korean news outlet that focuses on Korean news. It being accessible internationally doesn't change that or shift the target market.

The fact is that nobody knows definitively what is happening between whom but this is again falling in with my encouragement to stop creating things that don't exist and start paying attention to the things that actually do and how they all pull together.

Good points! Gonna insert some of my own thoughts as well.

I think it’s more complicated than just ‘Dispatch knows’, because Dispatch isn’t one person.. it’s a company with many employees. Not all of those employees will actually know, some might suspect maybe, but it’s not likely that many will actually know. Those people filming at the airport for instance, not likely in the know.. they are just there on assignment. The person giving them that assignment.. they might know, but they might also just be working according to a strategy. So when we talk about Dispatch knows, it’s not like all editors and photographers and textwriters and camera teams know.

In my opinion big companies like Dispatch will mostly think of their own benefits first. So when they found out somewhere along the way that Tae and Jk might be actually a couple, they didn’t think ‘wow, this is a great story’ they thought ‘now how can we turn this into a profitable situation?’. Outing them would not be profitable on the long run, a big scandal like that would only make them money short term and it would ruin Jk’s and Tae’s lives.. and perhaps even that of all BTS members by association. Dispatch would loose the relationship they have with BH, no longer getting scoops. But, if they negotiated a deal with BH.. they would be getting way more out of it for an extended period of time. And we kinda see that.

Dispatch staying out of Taennie imo also was negotiated (no Taennies, not because it was real 🙄).

Dispatch’s interest lies with Tae and Jk. As a duo Jm and Jk should be able to pull as much interest. It’s also not just because of Tae, because Vmin also does not get this treatment. So yeah.. there’s something odd there.

Amongst the sea of amazing bts fanfics I keep coming back to Eunoia ever so often. It's truly one of those fics that you never forget about yk. It's amazing how you have created such an immersive world; that the length of Eunoia isn't intimidating, no matter how many times I read it. I am going into indulgent and fangirl territory next so I have a feeling this is gonna be kinda long (sorry for that TvT).

Ok sooooo... Starting with the amazing way you write such a relatable and human y/n. I know you don't always have to write relatable reader inserts since the point of these fics is to be able to experience stories and situations that you might (and prolly won't) irl. I know (us) the ppl reading this fic aren't world class producers who are friends with taylor swift but gosh darn it I feel like it when I am reading eunoia XD . The y/n feels so... human. They have their fears, insecurities, mess ups and they worry and overthink yet they also have their strengths and try their hardest no matter what. Their love hate relationship with their career and burnout, is honestly so refreshing to see becuz no matter if your career is your dream you are going to get tired at some point. OH YEAH AND THEIR COMPLICATED RELATIONSHIP WITH THEIR PARENTS! My gosh, it was so good to see someone acknowledge how hard it is to have a relationship with your parents where you don't hate them but you also don't get along because of your massive differences. It feels like you are stuck b/w a rock and a hard place. An argument that will never find it's peace...

Also, I feel like you absolutely nail the members' personality to a T. Ofc, tho you just HAD to give them such TRAGIC backstories ;-; (but yk I get it, the angst is what makes the fluff all the more sweeter). I adore the intricacies of their relationships with each other and also with the reader. All of them mean well but are hesitant to cross any boundaries. I hope we can see them get even closer and develop even stronger bonds so they don't feel like they are burdening each other with their problems and instead rely on each other <3 OK RAPID FIRE ROUND-

Jungkook- Bunny boy come here and tackle me to the ground with a hug >:) He is so cute, he just wants everyone to be happy together ;-; the juxtaposition of a cute bunny who is ripped *chef's kiss*

I feel like eunoia rn is at a midpoint. Things have settled and are not as chaotic but there is still so much to be done! So much to be said, done and so much to heal from. I feel like the story can go in any direction and I am so so curious as to what your vision is for the next chapters (ma'am can we have some crumbs please :> ). Also I was wondering; it was originally marked as smut so if you are still thinking of doing that? This ask made my day and I'm sorry for taking some time to reply but when I receive such long asks I usually like to think some more before replying. First of all, thank you so much for your words and the fangirling. I live fangirling!!

It is very important to me when writing the main characters in stories to give them their own personalities and make them as human as possible. I don't think it's as fun to write perfect characters or to read about them at that. The mc of Eunoia is very close to my heart because I can see myself in some aspects of her character and I'm happy that's true for other people as well. Relationships with parents can be very hard to navigate and she and her parents have a complicated history. They will never stop being her parents but their differences are so stark and they are nearly strangers by now. She was trying with them for the longest time and she didn't know when to stop trying. Or to stop pretending.

All the hybrids share unique relationships with each other. They might have tragic back stories but they are ones that led them to each other. They have had people crossing their boundaries so many times in the past that they are afraid of doing that to each other. They are all my babies and I adore them.

I was planning to write some light smut for it but I've been rethinking it. I don't have any experience writing smut and in this case the second person is throwing me off. I'll try but I don't know how it will go and if it will fit with the story well.

Eden’s Notes: A03 really has some of the best writing I have had the pleasure of seeing. This fic is like a whole book/movie series wrapped up into a little ~140k worded package. It was a rollercoaster of both positive warm, cozy, fluffy first love emotion and screaming at your phone because the characters are ambiguous negitive emotion. I almost don’t have the words to describe actually how good it is. You just really need to read it to experience it.

Hi, I am more than happy to share why I have them blocked. DailyofJK is a self proclaimed JK solo and is also a JM anti. And either is a lowkey tkkr or sympathizes with them for their JM anti-ness. @/DailyofJK also used to be @/jungkookthings which no longer exists. They were following some of the biggest JM antis on the app and when they got exposed for being a JM anti, they faked a suicide and said the account changed admins before moving over to DailyofJK. There are Twitter threads with proof out there if you care to search it up. They also set up JK himself multiple times where shippers dragged him and Jimin both in their quotes and they literally said they don't care. They also let their Hate for JM overpower their so called love for JK and didn't know the name of their collab song with Lauv and didn't support it. They also still support and use content by Headliner, a JK "fansite" who said horrible things about him and stalked him. So you know, just overall a really crappy person.

Wisha (or @/doyou_bangtan) is a translator I have blocked for being a JM anti as well as having just crappy translations. They don't translate, they create and insert their own narrative into their translations adding their own story telling interpretations into their translations. And often in shady ways that lead to members getting attacked in the quotes, particularly JM. For example, instead of saying whatever the members said, she twists it into a story, such as making JM seem like a desperate awkward person wanting JK for attention on his bday vlive. She also tends to skip over translating anything JM says in certain trans threads she would make of things from press conferences and vlives. Yet would somehow manage to get everyone else's answers to things and would skip translating his articles and tried to downgrade Jimins achievement with his fan dance award. She also made shady tweets about JM being forgettable and made a shady tweet about JKs My Time performance as well. All under the excuse of "it's just jokes." She also supported a fairly degrading article against BTS which called their work manufactured. She also made some shady tweets about Hobi and CNS, literally tagging BH in them. So you know.... just also someone I don't want to support or have anywhere near my timeline nor do I necessarily trust their translations at this point

But ya know. That's just me. Yall can look into it more yourselves and make your own decisions. Sorry, hope that's helpful on why I have them blocked though!

A little about me...

Call me Jae, or J! I am a k-pop fanboy in his 20's, specifically stanning BTS, Stray Kids and ATEEZ (though i'm a baby atiny, so please be patient lol). I love all things music, whether it be K-pop, alt, old rock or movie soundtracks, I love it! I love survival video games like Subnautica and The Forest, love old cheesy horror/slasher films, and I love collecting vinyl records. Obviously however, I have the biggest hyperfixiation being k-pop, specifically my favorite groups lol. Now as an adult man, its difficult to express my passion for these artists and their music, but hey, that's what the internet is for! I write as a hobby and as a passion project really, even having some of my own novel ideas in the works with original characters and plot. i know you didn’t ask for my opinion but… i actually prefer named oc’s than y/n’s, and im so happy that you mostly write fics with names oc’s!!! there’s not a lot of those… so what i usually do when i read bts fics with y/n’s or “____” (to insert your own name), i usually have a placeholder female celeb for each member, instead of imagining myself as the female lead 😅😅 think of it as me watching a tv show starring bts!! that’s why named oc’s are more preferable to me 🥰🥰

(for example, halle bailey is usually who i pair jimin with in y/n fics)

I always love discussions about this. I know my readers over-index on OC-preferrers because that's mostly what I write. I had never seen the YN-insert thing until I joined this fandom but it is BY FAR the most represented, I see way fewer ocs. It's so interesting how people approach it! Mentally if I read a YN, it isn't me either, I just sub in Yuna or Yun as a name and it's still a complete character in my head, not me. As opposed to if there's a story where I wanted to self-insert into the main character for whatever reason, I just do that, doesn't matter to me if there's a name there or not LOL, I think the last time I did that was reading the first book of Outlander 😁, just call me Claire for a book thanks. I also have no problem "being" in the head of a main character who is nothing at all like me, I actually love "being" a character for a story who isn't much like me. I also know there are readers who very much use reader insert to play out a mental fantasy/scenario and that's awesome too! I learned so much writing a YN, and also about how alienating this experience can be for readers when characters who are still coded for certain details (ilke race or nationality or even dominant personality traits.)

I loved the psychological part of my narrative ethics course in college that talked about this kind of thing.

My mental health has been in a healthy mental state lately.. Not really any negative thoughts, only positive. At least that I'd know of anyway.

I'm multiply disabled. I have mental and physical disabilities, but I just won't get into every detail about my diagnoses. That's too personal.

But I will tell you a few things. I have Asperger's Syndrome. So a lot of my other conditions are somehow connected to that.. Almost like this spiderweb that connects together in some way. Like Attention Deficit Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety, Depression as just a few diagnoses to list. Auditory Processing Disorder isn't officially an actual diagnoses but that is another condition I definitely know I have based on what I read.. I'm serious. I'm not one to self diagnose myself in any way, but if you read about auditory processing disorder with an autism disorder - I have every sign and symptom of that. So I actually consider that apart of my autistic signs and symptoms. Reason why I want to write disabled characters like me. Since I've rarely ever seen a character (or any characters) with certain disabilities.. That I know of.

My OCD is more of a mild diagnoses? I'm organized in some sense of the word. But I'm not either.. I'm more of an "organized mess" person.

But I do have a lot of perfectionistic tendencies with my OCD, even if OCD and perfectionism are really two completely different diagnoses though. Which is probably not exactly the correct way to explain that.

I do many my own peculiar routines like any autistic OCD person who are like me. Like... Kinda like me. Since my diagnoses are a spectrum.

I love size differences in relationships.. And not just because I'm short either! Lot of my favorite fictional couples always had size differences with them, which shouldn't be a surprise. Who doesn't love the sizes?!

Most stories, whether the character's an original or insert character, a lot of people seem to enjoy writing their personal dreams or fantasies through their characters. Anyone who says differently is a liar to me.

Someone told me before that, with how I want to write my characters in my stories, that it might be a way for me to love myself? Y'know.. If celebrities and characters accept my characters for who they are, it is a way for me to also accept myself. If that makes sense. Though I just never thought about it that way before. Don't get me wrong! I'm more neutral about myself. I don't hate myself, but don't love myself either.

So I've never really thought of my own characters like that before.

At least not that I know of..

Yes! I hate being underestimated because of my size. I know, I know. I understand people tend to be overprotective of me... Just because of my size. I was never encouraged to do things alone, my situation was, I had to have another person with me or I was not allowed to leave my house. It's still like that now. My mother's biggest fear is me being the girl who is easily kidnapped, raped and murdered because of my size.

Hopefully that didn't upset you. That's just the person my mother is.

I understand why she's like that. But that's probably the main reason I never leave the house.. Not out of fear. More like everything seems to be a hassle to try leaving the house. Which is why my life isn't normal.

So just stopped trying to live the life I want because of these reasons.

I'm a grown woman with no independence.

That's so depressing to think about.

I'm not one to spam with videos! I don't want you to think that I would be that person... I thought it was easier to show you rather than trying to explain it. But yes. The girl had more a lot more videos, about short people with tall people. But I already sent a lot. I only sent one videos.

And I had to send the Jimin video because we were just talking about it. Jimin might be the shortest in BTS, but he's not really that short. If I'm being honest.. I know men who are actually a lot shorter than him.

Oh! Laundry, having someone help you with laundry. I'm so short that I reach my laundry in the washing machine, since the machine would, y'know, open from the top instead of in front. Short people problems.

Yes! Seeing attractive men in suits is really enough for me to fantasize crime verses, mafia verses, and so on and so forth. It's not surprising.

But Yoongi's Agust D persona is Haegeum added on to that fire to the bad boy archetype. Despite his character being a cop, maybe corrupt cop, he definitely seemed more mafia than some police officer to me.

And Hope's Jack persona could be mafia? At least crime verse since I have seen occasional stories of that persona as a serial killer. I do love the bridge piercing on him too, even if the piercings are fake though.

But regular non-mafia criminal seems fitting for Yoongi too. Besides a mafia man, the other Yoongi in Haegeum could be a criminal in lots of ways. Or blonde Agust D. Even brunet Daechwita Yoongi too, and can be in modern or historical times too. But that might just my opinion.

I'm overthinking again.

And as for the sin and virtue universe.. This is complicated to figure it out. Kind of. Since I can imagine just about every one of them with so many different sins, some may have more than one sin, but I'm trying to keep it to one sin per person. Obviously since there are seven boys.

But when I think of a sin, I also think of the virtue too. Like a balanced personality of good and evil. Don't know why I do that though. But it's always something I've done when it comes to these topics in general.

Like Yoongi is someone who I can see having multiple sins associated to him in interesting ways. But, and I know this is unoriginal, he is just the only one I imagine as Sloth and Diligence. Don't get me wrong! All the boys are definitely diligent when it comes to their works, hobbies, and everything else in life. But, as a sin, Sloth is only fitting to Yoongi.. People know Sloth represents lazy in modern times which is also true in a way, but people never seem to know that the original meaning of Sloth meant apathy. And Yoongi does have the apathetic attitude in a "I don't give a fuck" way. So both versions of Sloth represent him. And also Diligence. Like I said, they're all diligent. But Yoongi is just known to basically become an insomniac, staving himself, taking less care of himself when he is really working on a project he's passionate about.

So one down, six more to figure out. I overthink. I have some ideas on which sin with which person, but other times I can be fickle about it.

Yes, OCD is very misunderstood due to its informal colloquial social application. I remember when I was diagnosed people who knew me were confused since I didn't show any of the symptoms they associated with the term. 😂

And yes!! I love characters that are foils for each other, whether communicated through their sizes, personalities, ect. I just love those kind of dynamics!

I think it's common and healthy for people to use their own fantasies and rise to meet the needs of the communities they represent in their writing! It makes for such a broad spectrum of imaginative work when people are true to themselves in creativity!

I think writing a character like yourself - or that you create to represent parts of yourself - can be a really beautiful tool in self-acceptance and self-love. I'm actually finding that with a character I'm writing now. She has so many of my flaws, but if I can accept those parts of her and see her beauty, maybe she'll reflect it back to me? Self-love is a lifelong process. A journey. We take it one day at a time, right? 🫂💕

I loved receiving those videos! So funny and relatable. The grocery store is where I'm always the most irritated at my height. I get creative, but sometimes it's a barely-averted disaster with getting stuff from the highest shelves... 😅

AND LAUNDRY YES. I have a top-loader and I'm constantly trying to fish socks out of the bottom with random objects within reach.

Oh, yes. An attractive man in a suit is definitely fuel for the imagination! The Haegeum/Daechwita Yoongi characters seem pretty complex but fitting for a crime-world archetypes. I can see Jack in there too, but definitely more as a psycho criminal type.

You're really onto something with the sin/virtue thing! Philosophically, behaviors are typically seen on a spectrum and sins and virtues are motivational extremes, so it follows that you could see examples of these in people/characters! The example with Yoongi as sloth and diligence is a good one. I'd be jazzed to read a universe like that if you ever decided to give it a go!

What fandoms were you /are you still a part of aside from BTS? Did you actively write for any of them, and if so, which ships inspired you? How did you come across BTS and what made you stan? (Imma assume jimin? Jimin!) And on that note, what made you ship kookmin or what about them gave you inspiration to write about them?

hello! this isn't intrusive at all so no worries at all!!

oh man, i started writing when i was 11? at least in terms of posting fic on the internet except back then i don't think i even considered it to be fic. it was just stories set in my fandom at the time (it was naruto...and then harry potter and emo bands. yes, it was self insert.)

currently, i only actively write for bts fandom. this will likely change once i finish reading omniscient reader's viewpoint (orv) because i am already RARING to write fic for my orv otp, joongdok, but i really want to finish the web novel before i spiral.

i find the best way to enjoy your bts fandom experience is to also have multiple other interests you're partially engaged in/with so that bts fandom doesn't drive you insane :) other interests i am invested in include but are not limited to: orv, tgcf, mdzs, svsss, jujutsu kaisen, demon slayer, a plethora of bl, the magnus archives, and i try to read published stuff but i've been slipping on that front the last few months.

i will put the rest of the answer under a cut because...this is already quite long.

in the past i've written for naruto (sasunaru), harry potter (drarry), a few other animangas, kingdom hearts (axel/roxas), and when i did start writing for kpop fandoms it went from beast to block b/bap to exo to ikon/got7 to bts.

but i've been part of like tons of other fandoms where i only read fic and engaged with other people's content. fandoms include (non-exhaustive): bandom, inception, merlin, marvel (i rly only cared abt stucky), star trek (spirk, MY BELOVED), teen wolf (sterek has everyone in their clutches), football (european) rpf, hannibal and a slew of animanga. there's definitely stuff i missed but my point is just: have lots of interests! and consume a variety of media! it makes you a better writer and person imo.

baby me was definitely obsessed with enemies to lovers (adult me still is) so i am always drawn to an otp that has the enemies/rivals to lovers dynamic because nothing satisfies me as much as tension and push/pull dynamics. i think once i got into rpf fandoms tho (bandom, kpop), i did start enjoying seeing two people that just love each other very openly.

SO ofc when i finally ended up in bts fandom, it was only a matter of time before kookmin ate me alive. i started stanning bts in march/april of 2015. i'd listened to their title tracks/watched mvs from their debut but i was an exo stan and i had tunnel vision and then exo was like, falling apart in 2014-2015 tgknfk and i got into got7 and ikon for a while but i guess they just didn't hit the same cause i started watching bts mvs one day and then binged SO many bangtan bombs and watched american hustle life and then 2 weeks?? later bts announced they were having a comeback and i've never looked back. bts are just incredibly funny and genuine (there is nothing manufactured about them) and back in 2015, no one was putting themselves out there the way bts were. they were super engaged with their fan base through youtube and twitter so even when they didn't have a comeback, they were still posting new content which is not what other groups were doing. bighit knew what they were doing, i guess.

and yes, jimin 100% drew me in. even before i was a fan, he was already my fav from the few mvs i had seen and then when i got seriously into them, i was obsessed with him. he's so fucking funny and BABY!!!!!!!!! and has just been the kindest person since day one??? and an incredible dancer, like just mesmerizing. also, he's the prettiest most gorgeous person ever. there is no joy or comfort quite like getting to stare at jimin's beautiful face.

i was actually a multi-jimin shipper when i started out. my fav ships were hopemin, minjoon, and yoonmin. rapline/jimin was everything to me and so was yoonseok!! jimin was just very baby around rapline and acted cute because he loves attention and praise and i love this about him jbsdjk i liked vmin and kookmin at the time, too, but i've always liked vmin as friends more than romantically and kookmin didn't take over my entire brain until may 2016 when back hug scene happened. up until then, i liked them because it was obvs jimin doted on jeongguk A Lot and i enjoyed what a tsundere brat jeongguk was but back hug scene rewired my brain cause all i wanted to do after that was write kookmin.

i think seeing how much they both love each other and how supportive they are/how they show up for each other over and over again (excellent song choice for gcf tokyo jjk) just makes it impossible for me to not ship them?? plus we got to see their relationship grow and develop and transform to what it is today...it's hard not to love them tbh. for me, it's the devotion and how much they clearly like each other as friends that keeps me writing for them. i love love love the ways they show how much the other means to them whether that be the grand gestures (the tokyo trip, jimin flying across the world to be there for jeongguk's birthday) or the little things (the way they baby each other and worry over the other's well-being).

also, i think the fun of writing an rpf otp is that you can really put them in any scenario you want. there is no canon we have to adhere to so you're really only restricted/limited by characterization and tbh you can take liberties there, too because we don't 100% know the boys. plus how you act as an idol may not be how you act in a dystopia au lol it really is like playing house and it lets me be as creative as i want so i find it easy to keep putting them in new scenarios! i do think that if they didn't love each other as much as they do, i'd have maybe lost interest but so far that hasn't happened so yay for me haha

Hi Anon,

I mean, I guess every single person in the fandom has wondered about this at some point. Not everyone cares enough to write out analysis posts on it, or make videos on the subject, or even actually voice out their speculations, but it’s a thought we’ve all entertained.

The boys have increasingly used gender-neutral language in their lyrics, alluded to potentially having “boyfriends or girlfriends” (timestamp: 2:03), and **all** groped or appeared to have few physical boundaries, or just straight up done gay-ish shit to other members at some point over the last eight years.

The question of sexuality for BTS members most times is not so much about the sexualities themselves or even some grand cause of allyship or representation, but about what it implies for potential romantic/sexual relationships between bandmates. That’s the reason this question can get so charged in some circles, and it’s both gross and disappointing to see people obsess over it to the point they treat some sexualities as an insult. Because ultimately, this sort of attitude causes harm.

We don’t know Jimin’s sexuality. Nor do we know the sexuality of any other member in BTS. I see behaviors I recognize to be typical of some orientations and my own queer expressions, but unless he explicitly says something, we won’t ever know Jimin’s sexuality. Even if he publicly dates a man or woman, all that does is eliminate one option (potentially), of which there will remain several more.

The most we can do about the question for them, or really anyone we don’t know, is guess. Think about it: are you sure of the sexuality of a co-worker you don’t personally know or who hasn’t confirmed their sexuality to you? Based on how they act, you’d guess. Would you write 1000s of words about it? Would you assert to other people that this co-worker, who you’ve interacted with lots of times, has one sexuality or the other that you’ve guessed?

I have a problem with people talking about the sexualities of **anybody** they don’t personally know, with complete certainty. Frankly the only reason the sexuality of a total stranger should cross your mind several times a day is if you’d like them to fuck you one day. But my views on this subject might be old fashioned.

Regardless of how I personally feel, I don’t hound people down for saying this or that member is gay/straight/etc. People joke around a lot. People find comfort in the thought that the members might be part of the community. As I’ve said before, if you respect someone, you’ll be mindful of how you discuss them; and if you respect them as artists, that will be plain to see too. There are people who disrespect the boys while claiming to not assume their sexualities, and people who respect the boys and their art, while suspecting they might be queer too, and those who are respectful even while joking that the tannies are in a poly relationship.

Everyone can think for themselves on if a discussion is appropriate or not, but a good short cut is firstly, a recognition that the boys are real people.
