Dionysus' Magic Shop Deal with Abraxas (BTS Theory)

In MOTS: Persona, there is a song called "Dionysus". Now, it's obvious that this song is referring to the greek god Dionysus, as seen by the lyrics. But this song may be much more important than you think.

First, let me explain the gist of who Dionysus is:

Dionysus is the god of wine, madness, vegetation cultivation & religious ecstasy. The story goes that Dionysus was the son of Zeus & Semele. Zeus seduced & impregnated the princess of Thebes, but then a jealous Hera tricked Semele into demanding that Zeus reveal his true form to her. As a mortal, Semele could not look upon a god’s true form without dying. Zeus managed to rescue the unborn Dionysus by sewing him into his thigh. A few months later, Dionysus was born from Zeus’s thigh.

Thus, Dionysus was known to have been twice-born and was sometimes called “dimetor” (of two mothers), which is also constantly referenced in BTS' song "Dionysus". Being born and reborn:

Now, like i said, since Dinoysus is the god of ritual insanity, he has the ability to make people go insane at his will. He makes people go into a trance of ecstasy and euphoria, where they lose all awareness. Dionysus uses his powers to make people forget about their pain and misery.

On the other hand, Abraxas is the god of Heaven & Hell + everything beyond that. He is the Supreme God. He has been mentioned throughout “WINGS”, especially “Blood Sweat and Tears” several times. Abraxas is also the snake who tricked eve into biting into the apple in the Garden of Edens, which led to the fall of Adam & Eve. However, he did it to open Adam & Eve's mind and enhance their knowledge.

Essentially, Abraxas puts people through "hell" so that they can learn from their pain & mistakes and eventually ascend to enlightenment. So, Dionysus in a sense is very similar to Abraxas. Dionysus is the god of vegetation and Abraxas is the "life of vegetation in the course of one year". Dionysus uses his powers for good and evil and so does Abraxas.

They are alike in power, BUT different in intention.

So what's the difference between Dionysus and Abraxas?

In very simple terms, Dionysus is the god of Euphoria, and Abraxas is the god of Enlightenment/Nirvana.

There is a stark difference between Euphoria and Nirvana. Euphoria is a state of extreme happiness, often to the point of abnormality and usually caused by use of drugs. Nirvana is a transcendent state in which there is neither suffering, desire, nor sense of self, and the subject is released from the effects of karma and the cycle of death and rebirth. Nirvana is beyond heaven and hell.

Euphoria in a sense, is a mock Nirvana, because Euphoria is temporary, while Nirvana isn't.

So... what if Dionysus wanted to become like Abraxas? Because, Dionysus isn't actually a full on God. He was a demi-god, since his mother was Princess Semele of Thebes, a mortal. Dionysus can be seen as a rebel probably from the shame he felt for having a mortal mother. He could've been a god, but because of his mother, he is merely a demi-god. He could never possess the powers he wish he could as a full-on god. Because of this, Dionysus would never think he was enough. He would crave power more and more. He always wants MORE. His craving for more power is driven by his ego and fear of being seen as weak or inferior to other greek gods. He would use religious ecstasy to hide this weakness of himself from others. If he could make other people forget who he really is, including his fears and weaknesses, he could make other people see him as the perfect all powerful god that he always wanted to be.

People could see him as Abraxas: the SUPREME GOD.

But how would Dionysus have obtained this power, or persona?

Well, remember the Magic Shop in Fake Love?

"Magic Shop is a psychodramtic technique that exchanges fear for a positive attitude"

Each member traded their fear for a positive attitude:

It's important to also note that, Abraxas is most likely the owner of the magic shop, because the word "Abracadabra" originates from the word "Abraxas":

So what if, Dionysus was so desperate to become Abraxas, he walked into the magic shop, and like the members of BTS, traded his fear for a positive attitude?

What if, Abraxas made a deal with Dionysus:

In exchange for Dionysus' fear, Abraxas would give Dionysus a chance to take over the Magic Shop, in a sense experience what it's like to be Abraxas.

And perhaps, this is the reason why he has the ability to send others into a state of euphoria.

And this makes sense, because where do we see the boys at the end of LY: Wonder?

Euphoria MV. They all seem really happy, but we know the truth is Euphoria is merely a temporary state of happiness, in truth their fears are still present and haunting them.

Dionysus would never actually become Abraxas, because the deal Dionysus made with Abraxas was merely to trade his fears for a mask of perfection, or PERSONA.

The positive attitude that each member traded for with their fears, was their personas.

It's why, at the end of Fake Love, we see each of the members wearing cloaks and masks.

The masks represents their personas. And this is also why we see the owner of the magic shop wearing a mask and a cloak. Because the owner is Dionysus.

And Dionysus traded his fears for a mask of persona as well.

He traded his fears for the persona of Abraxas.

MIXED THEORY PART ONE

- It’s my opinion, it maybe right or wrong.

On Bangtan’s music video since day one is eventually part of the HYYH plotline. NO MORE DREAMS, who tackles about the youths who try to understand the adults but at the same time trying to do what they want. N.O, is about adults who force their desire and try to control the younger ones. BOY IN LUV, looks like where the boys experience the love for the first time in their life, but in my point of view, Jungkook was the first and most experience it for the first time. Now let’s all take a look at Danger MV where it tackles and shows a rage of a boy who just rejected or cheated by a girl he loves and War of Hormones where the boy is back in track and still head over heels to the girl.

Now let’s include their Concert teasers and VCRs. I don’t know I was confused at first THE RED BULLET TOUR was considered as an EPISODE I while BTS BEGINS was EPISODE II, then the WINGS TOUR was their last part of the trilogy and yes the whole plot inside this trilogy is also part of the HYYH or in short the whole BTS songs and message. Like argh it blows my mind while doing this. Anyway, let's get back in track. I re-watched all of their VCR in the said tours. I don’t know if the title just messed up because if we follow the release date and the title itself, it will really confuse. Nevertheless, if we will follow the storyline it makes sense despite of its title and date releases. THE RED BULLET TOUR shows the boys being rebelled and mad followed by THE BTS BEGINS where they show how the boys meet each other for the very first time and there’s a part of their VCR and teasers, that you can see SeokJin is still living in the word ‘be a good kid’ where he wears an earphone to listen to the principal. You can also picture out the room that the boys used to hang out that mention in the webtoon save me and the HYYH NOTES 1. While the WINGS TOUR is different but also includes in the plotline, I will tackle it later because it is one of the high lightened part.

After THE BTS BEGINS, BTS finally revealed the MV of I NEED U and the era or new chapter, HYYH begins. But there’s a twist, we all thought I NEED U was the beginning of their whole plot line. I also thought that but it’s not. I NEED U is one of the main part and one of the upside down of the story along with HYYH on stage: PROLOGUE where we can see the consequence and result of their life’s situation but at the same time they are refusing to see it. RUN and FIRE MV also show that the boys trying to find the feeling of being home with each other. EPILOGUE: YOUNG FOREVER, shows the boys finding it’s way out to the maze that represents their youth or their life situation.

Between the release of RUN and YOUNG FOREVER MV, I NEED U AND RUN JAPANESE MV released and still the scene inside those MV are play a big role.

After party effect shows in the SAVE ME MV, the message of these songs tackles how the boys finally waking up and the realization hits them that they need to save each other and themselves.

WINGS era came through, I can say that we can consider this as the most high lighten part. The WINGS Short Film from number one to seven, BEGINS, LIE, STIGMA, FIRST LOVE, REFLECTION, MAMA and AWAKE. We are all confused when they release this short films, there’s a lot of theory roaming around and mine was this: If we dissect all of their meaning and consider it part of the whole story line. This a self-reflected, it means that those messages inside is a part of themselves, words they cannot express, they show those scene to seek personal understanding. I will explain it as an individual point of view.

BEGINS: is about his love for his six Hyungs as Jungkook himself and it also his character inside the storyline.

LIE, the trauma of JIMIN that he witnessed when he was a kid inside the Grass Flower Arboretum. Where that crime take away his innocence that’s why he doesn’t want blood on his body just like his part at Highlight Reel.

STIGMA, Taehyung’s innocent and torment words inside about his abusive relationship with his father.

FIRST LOVE, a deep meaning of attachment of Yoongi in his mother’s piano. There is also a part of him that he blame himself from what happened to his mother.

REFLECTION, Namjoon being stuck inside the container. We also saw how he wanted to answer the phone, he knew Taehyung was calling him. In the storyline, we saw how they are really closed to each other. Namjoon is a big part of Taehyung’s life.

MAMA as Hoseok’s background story it’s about him seeking for attention. If you are going to read Hoseok’s notes in HYYH, he said that he was faking the narcolepsy and its true he has Munchausen syndrome. (According to webdmd, Munchausen syndrome is a factitious disorder, a mental disorder in which a person repeatedly and deliberately acts as if he or she has a physical or mental illness when he or she is not really sick. Munchausen syndrome is considered a mental illness because it is associated with severe emotional difficulties.) He did this to seek more attention, he is craving from it as he grows up inside the orphanage.

AWAKE, SeokJin played an important role here. At the beginning of the short film we can see him wearing an earphone again and this time he refused to listen to it, grabs the apple and drop it on the floor and his well-known camera is in there too. (I don’t want to tackle the symbolism here, I will explain it later on.) SeokJin was trying to show the effect to him the moment he centered himself to be a good kid. (I just explain this as an individual meaning of the short film not the meaning of the song. I will explain the partnering later on.)

All their solo tracks are connected with each other. First with Yoongi and Jungkook, they show the true brotherhood. Yoongi grow up without his mother care while Jungkook also crave for his father’s love. We can see the effect of a broken family to them. They seek each other’s love. Namjoon and Taehyung, even life is both hard for them, even poverty comes to their life, each other become their source of strength. In HYYH NOTE 1: Namjoon has a coworker or a friend that he called Taehyung. He said this young man has a similarity yet different from Taehyung, he thought maybe he just missed the true Taehyung. While Namjoon is struggling with his life to be breadwinner to his family and for his sick father, Taehyung has his own battle with his abusive father. HoSeok and Jimin, these two is emotionally attached to each other. From their illness to their past, both of them has a damaged childhood.

Yoonmin Theory I

If you want to understand this you gotta know one thing. On 30th December, 2018 Jimin released an song named “Promise”. He sings about somebody, a person he loves.

First he says that this person is hurting him and this person probably doesn’t even know it. He is lonely and sad, break himself down with thoughts about this situation.

The truth here is that one is unable to love another if they don’t love themselves. He sings about wanting to be his lovers “light”. What does that mean? Oh, actually not complicated. Jimin wants to see his lover happy. The next line is “you should be your light”. Confusing? A bit. But it makes sense. Jimin wants his lover to love himself first like he wants to love himself too, to be happy, to smile more often.

The last Part of the song (the bridge) says his lover should promise Jimin several times a day, even he feels alone he shouldn’t throw himself away. (And he want him to do a pinky swear but that’s not important in the moment) the important thing is the “don’t throw yourself away” sounds a bit familiar, doesn’t it?

In a small Q/A in season greetings the question was “what do you want to throw away in 2018?” Yoongi answered with “I want to throw myself away, it’s very hard to explain but I want to free from myself & feel relaxed. It was a biggest concern in 2017”

I’m honest first it’s not a big thing. Okay they both talked about to throw themselves away.

Yoongi wanted to throw the stressed Yoongi away. We all know he had depression (social anxiety,...) whatever sometimes you want to throw yourself away from the problems, not the problems from you, because you think you are the problem. You want to run away, you want to get rid of the problems you got (your mind/yourself).

Jimin talked about his lover feeling lonely and sad, wanting to throw himself away.

And Thats exactly what I think has to mean something.

Yoongi: “I want to throw myself away (it’s hard to explain... I want to be free by myself and feel relaxed)”

Jimin: “promise me several times a day, even if you feel that you’re alone, don’t throw yourself away”

The Truth Untold Theory

overall: interesting that bangtan decided to have a song called ‘전하지 못한 진심’ = The Truth Untold in one of their more recent comebacks which would be ‘Love Yourself: Tear’ with their title track called: Fake Love.

theory: now delving deeper inside this, if you look closely at the lyrics of the song, it exactly depicts the story of Smeraldo which were released on blog posts 2 years ago when they have the comeback of Love Yourself Her - a smeraldo blog was set up as such and they actually told the story and history of the smeraldo flower and its relationship to the florist ( the owner of the shop )

but what was interesting was that later on before the comeback of Love Yourself Tear, this smeraldo blog was taken down and the latest post was that they are currently renovating and would come back soon, as it was meant to be a blog to show the opening of the store around August but was delayed.

now, fast forward to the upcoming comeback of the Love Yourself Answer, the smeraldo blog was somehow magically brought back to life, as if it was back in business but rumours had it that the blog posts were slightly altered, but the gist is remains quite the same ( hence the idea as though they are time travelling etc; the idea of changing events ).

comparing the content of basically the smeraldo blog, the same posts were being uploaded just a year later. ( as if they went back into time )

anyway, in the past before i could even translate everything, i managed to translate a few of the blog posts before it was taken down. ( masterlist here ).

the 1st blog post mainly introduces about the blog and about the florist’s adventures into finding the smeraldo, mainly saying that it’s a flower that is part of a love story.

[1st ever story] the fate of smeraldo, the prologue story

hello. im ‘testesso’ the florist.

i started this blog because i wanted to introduce the flower, smeraldo. i just want to let you know in advance that i am preparing to open a flower shop that specializes in smeraldo in the middle of september. however you might think of it, this blog may be seen as its meant for publicity, i think ive ever met that this smeraldo ( shop ) is not a simple business.

my first connection with smeraldo dated 5 years ago. during that time, i was studying abroad in north dakota, in far north america. while in america, we participated in the academy’s <Flower 2012> that opened in virgina for a week. it takes a flight that is more than 5hrs from north dakota to virginia and no less than 7hours from my dorm to school.

but when i entered the distant event hall, I discovered a placard that said 'the origins of playing cards’. <Flower 2012> had already ended last week at the event of the academy at the time of america’s playing cards. i wrote the wrong date in my diary. at that time, it’s absurd to think that all are connected if i look back at it. i was so tired that i couldn’t afford to move anywhere else so i sat down and listened to the speech. fortunately, the speech was interesting as it was talking about future career of a florist and the connections between flowers was very exciting. of course as expected, it’s… 'smeraldo’

as you know from seeing the picture, the smeraldo carries a warm feeling. the romantic petals that are magical and subtle colours, and don’t you think there’s some kind of sad meaning behind it? that’s right. smeraldo is a flower with a passionate and heartaching story behind it. the story can be said by “non potevo dire la verità”, that means 'inability to convey sincerity’ in italian. speaking of flowers in love stories, can you guess whether it was sad?

in the future, through this blog about smeraldo, let me unfold the story about this flower gradually in the playing cards.

the 3rd blog post talks about how the Smeraldo was first discovered so there is nothing much here.

it is the 4th blog post that it becomes more important.

[4th story] the smeraldo legend

everyone, can you confidently say that you're beautiful? in the past, i was blinded by a door that said 'i am beautiful.' ive also been blinded by a door that said 'im not beautiful' and to some extent, you can choose which door to pull and enter. everyone, what do you think you would do? im going to tell you something now, starting the entangled love story of smeraldo.

the story of smeraldo is estimated to have begun from 15th century-16th century, in a rural village in northern italy. there's a small solitary castle in 'Sita Di Smeraldo' (La Città di smeraldo). there was a man with a really ugly appearance living there.

there was not quite as much information about the man. 'the illegitimate child of the duke of Florence, the duke who fell in love with the gardener's daughter who gave birth to an illegitimate child, the man's mother died at the time of childbirth, and the wife and children of the man tried to kill the man, and so the duke sent the man away.' though there were full of rumours, none of them were claimed to be true.

the man alone hid himself in solitude at the old castle. because of the hatred and jealousy he received upon his birth and growing up, he didn't open his heart to anyone, when anyone tried to approach him, he would hid himself away angrily. his only joy was to grow flowers in his garden. one day, a woman appeared near the vicinity of his castle. the shabby woman picked up the heels of the garden fence, climbed over it and stole some flowers. the man was furious at first, and spent all night protecting his garden. but when he fell asleep for a while, the woman started to pick flowers again. the nights continued like that night, the man pretended to be a joe and observed the returning woman. curiosity killed the cat. the man waited for the woman, and one day decided to follow her. with the woman wrapped in a cloak, the man followed her to a place, the man found out that the poor and sickly woman was selling the flowers to earn a living.

the man wanted to help the woman. he wanted to teach the woman personally how to grow the flowers, and how to grow beautiful flowers. but he couldn't get ahead of her. the woman herself would be scared of him, it was obvious that she wouldn't love his ugly appearance. in the end, all he could do was to plant and grow flowers so that in a matter of time, she would stay in the garden.

the man decided to make a flower that does not exist in the world. the woman started to sell the expensive flowers that she made. after many consecutive failures, the man finally succeeded in making a flower that does not exist in the world, filling his garden with those flowers.

but when he started on this, the woman stopped showing up. no matter how long he waited, the woman did not appear at his garden, the troubled man went down to the village. and so the woman was found to have died.

and up till here, this is the story of smeraldo. i don't know if this really happened, but whoever saw the flower does not know whether it's made up. but every time i look at the smeraldo, i recall the story of it and think of it. if the man had the courage, would he have shown his face and expressed his sincerity? of course, the woman might have been scared and run away, even get mad. to have bravery is easier said than done.

actually, i have a similar experience. it's about the friend that i met at the playing card event at the academy in the previous post. i actually had a crush on him. he was a very bright, cheerful person. after hearing the news of the discovery of the smeraldo, he received the story related to the flowers, and promised me that we would go together to Sita Di Smeraldo. he told me to go with him if he really didn't mean anything to me.

even now, i recall and think about that day. the expression on his face that was full of courage and expectation, with big, short and quick steps and strapping on a knapsack, he excitedly grabbed an opportunity to reserve a plane in schedule.

i will never ever forget that moment. and even though a lot of time has passed, it is still a raw wound that will not heal.

this is of utmost importance. because it is exactly what is being relayed in the song ‘the truth untold’.

the most important post of all is the 7th one. the story of the florist being almost identical to how the Smeraldo flower was made and then put into a song by bangtan.

[7th story] ‘the truth untold’

Actually, I'm not from a very wealthy family. I also had a hard time studying in America. I was a foreigner, henceI was not fluent in English, and I couldn't afford to have a great future.

On the day we promised to go on a trip to Italy, I waited for that friend at the airport and saw her get off the bus with a handsome and wonderful man over the glass door. I hid myself right away. Why did i do that? I don't know...I just hid myself reflexively and turned around and walked away. 'That's it then. I couldn't have tried to make her to go on a trip to Italy with me. For her, I was just a poor foreigner who didn't know anything.' That was my feelings then.

She called while I was walking, but I didn't answer. I stared at my face in the mirror in the airport toilet. Then, I turned off my cell phone and got on the plane. I booked the same flight, so I thought she would be there with him somewhere on the plane, but I didn't find her. I just wished for it. I don't know how much I wanted her to look for me around the plane. But until the plane crossed the Atlantic and landed in Italian airspace and got off at the airport... No one came to see me.

Sita di Smeraldo remains a painful and happy memory for me. The flowers were so beautiful that I cried. And that night something strange happened. I woke up with a strange sound while sleeping in a private house. There was a bed just below the window, and I could hear someone knocking on the window. The room was on the second floor and it was quiet outside. The time was past midnight and the curtain was pulled down so I couldn't see what was outside the window.

It wasn't scary or fearful, but it was still strange. I thought I'd woken up and open the window on the second floor, but I didn’t. I was forced to sleep, thinking that it would be better for the branches to shake in the wind and hit the window, but I couldn't sleep very well. I laid still for a long time listening to the sound, as if holding something back.

It was around lunch the next day that she called. No, it wasn't her who called. It was her brother. She had an accident at the airport where she was chasing someone in a hurry, and her breathing became unstable a little after midnight last night, and she ended up leaving the world.

Before I left my dorm that day, I opened the window next to my bed. The sunlight came in, and there was a colony of Smeraldo flowers. As I looked at the flowers and felt the wind passing by in the sun, I felt as if I was standing next to her by the window looking at Smeraldo.

On my way home from the United States and from the airport, I heard some news that I had been looking forward to for a long time had been achieved. It was the fact that the Smeraldo flower shop in Korea was approved by the Smeraldo Society. Because Smeraldo is a rare species, the association strictly manages its overseas sales and so on, and it was approved by me to apply to the association later on. Later, three years have passed since the opening of the Smeraldo flower shop in Korea, but I decided to think that the news from the conference was the last message she gave me.

And that's how she gave me the (non-potevo de la verità) and went to a different world. This is the special relationship that I talked about in the first post.

now, let’s look at each section of the song one by one. it is exactly the story of the Smeraldo legend in which the man whose appearance he refused to show to the woman who he grows to love ( despite her stealing his flowers ), he wears a mask so not to scare her away etc.

the idea of the man just out of reflex hiding from the woman as such and the ending that she died before he could even confess that he loved her - that’s the truth untold.

just like the man in the Smeraldo legend, he created a flower that couldnt be blossomed by anyone else. that was how much effort and love he has for the woman that he barely knew the name of. he only knew her as someone who was sick and sold flowers for a living.

now, see this is related to a whole love story, not so much of the HYYH period, and remember the articles posted regarding the highlight posters were meant to talk about love, in a way this is an extension of the HYYH era but now the idea of love, relationships and dating is now involved and not so much between the brotherhood that we all thought it was just about before especially with Prologue.

y’all there is so much about the unconscious mind in the mv. There are references of the ice-berg, which talks about the ego. also a quote that i spotted from Carl Jung who is apart of the psych community as psychologist who worked on the unconscious mind. This is so interesting because they say the mind is the soul ya know? anyways i don’t know my theory yet but I think it revolves around recognizing who you are and what kind of person you are subconsciously.

I’m back!

It’s been so long seriously!! I’m very sorry for not being there and not answering you guys. I’ve had quite a stressful time until now and have gotten sick quite often :’) I’m in my last year of high school and there is just so much to do. Apart from exams and all, I need to write this pre-scientific 30 pages long thing about a topic that I chose. I mean, it’s not hard but it’s tough to have so much to do since I have 124567890 exams a week as well. I’m sure it’s quite annoying to always have to wait this long but I will try my best to provide you guys with theories more regularly.

HOWEVER life wasn’t all too horrible until now because I went to the BTS concerts in Berlin!!! It was my first time seeing them and it was too amazing to express it with words. Anyway, I won’t talk about that too much and spam y’all since it’s not theory related and I’m not sure if there are people who are interested in my concert experiences :’). Unless of course you want to know details ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

I want to thank everyone for their patience! I will answer all the asks and post something new! I hope you enjoy!

Yoongi & the Galaxy Rose Theory

So I was thinking about how Yoongi wore that tank top with the words “wandering in the dark” underneath a yellow sweater on the last SY concert. Also about how he was holding galaxy roses in Seasons Greetings. Then I thought... what if Abraxas gave those roses to Yoongi?

Abraxas, as I’ve mentioned before, is the god of good and evil and he tricks/puts people through suffering and hell to open their minds to new knowledge and understanding. Now, the galaxy rose is a sort of holographic colored rose.

And I’ve read on holography and the soul, and our soul is supposedly holographic, as mentioned by several articles, the soul is holographic and can transcend in various ways.

So what if, Abraxas gave Yoongi these galaxy roses to transcend his soul into the realm of shadows, of darkness, where he must learn to find a way

out not by ending his life, but through wandering in the dark and finding the door, the one door that may seem invisible but has always been present there? So then he never saw the door to escape, because it was hidden and out of his sight. Instead, he just kept trying to find other means of escape routes, when there was another better way to get out of the realm of shadows all along.

Along with the fact that dreams are complex and your thoughts and emotions can easily blind you from realizing the truth and often from the most obvious things, it can be seen why Yoongi is stuck in the realm of shadows, having to wander around in the dark.

Theory Time

All storylines are connected. They are all in the same “multiverse.”

It all starts with the Magic Shop™️ and the boys wanting to escape the trauma and horrible memories of their past, or at the very least guarantee happy future memories. But the Magic Shop™️ doesn’t come without a price. (I’ll get to that later.)

If the boys choose to decline, we get the HYYH/Wings timeline. The boys face their lives, fears, and self-doubt. Fighting for things to get better or accepting things the way they are. With each other. The only time we see them separate, in this timeline, is in the Wings teasers. I think this is our first glimpse into what the Magic Shop™️ could’ve taken from them. They all suffer but they seem to still have each to keep them afloat.

Now this is where things get a little bit messy. Instead of declining they accept the deal. The boys all enter the Magic Shop™️ and receive something. Namjoon received a hair tie, Hoseok a cake, Yoongi a lollipop, and so forth. But they all exchanged something in return. Well, all but one. (Get to that later pt. 2) It’s not really clear what they all exchange though. But what they received seems to be connected to their LY female counterpart. They didn’t realize it at the time but the Magic Shop™️ did more than just take away. It altered their reality.

In this new timeline, all the boys are separated. Their stories are no longer linked, except JH and Jimin. JK is alone in the hospital. RM is alone in the city. Jin is alone in the city. TH is alone on the outskirts. Suga is alone in his apartment, essentially. JH and Jimin are together but not in the same light, not the same type of friendship. Or so it seems. The boys are now essentially all separated.

But the Magic Shop™️ seems to have done a good job, right? They are happy now, right? Yes and no. They are happy but they are living a lie. And things get worse. Because a certain someone keeps returning to the Magic Shop™️.

Jin returns to the Magic Shop™️ over and over again. Every time we saw him change clothes in the Highlight Reel, it was a new reality that he would create but eventually he ran out of things to give so he started exchanging pieces of the other members. Which is why by the end of the Highlights things have mellowed out. Jin has taken his own friends happiness away for his own. But he realizes this and goes back one last time.

This last time Jin exchanges himself completely with the Magic Shop™️ for the others happiness and in return he receives the Smeraldo flower. We get to see the damage reversed and all 7 happy once again in Euphoria. But this is where the timelines seem to overlap. Because we see elements from HYYH/Wings reflected in their actions or seeing them completely reversed. Memories become confusing to the other 6 because they are currently remembering two separate lines of events. TH remembers the fight with his father and jumping into the water but now it’s different. And Jin is the one on the Tower, now. Jimin remembers JH leaving the hospital, probably promising to come back with the others. He remembers JH and the others coming back for him on his birthday and saving him, but then why is he all alone, still in the hospital’s rec room?

At the end of Euphoria, Jin smiles because he thinks he finally got it right. All his friends are “happy” now. But they’ve all realized that something isn’t right still. Which is why at the we see the phrase, “Hyung, is that all? Aren’t there more things you’re hiding from us?” Which everyone seems to think it refers to Jin hitting JK with his car.

Now in Fake Love, we get to see the parts of the boys that they left in the Magic Shop™️. Namjoon is dealing with his own reflection of who he is, and who he usually pretends to be. Hoseok is left with reminders of his childhood abandonment with a room full of carousel parts and eventually snickers. Jimin is in a large bathroom(?) where he is left nothing but water from all times he’s possibly tried to actually drown himself. TH is in a room full of cell phones that he can’t use to contact people (the other 6) to help him. Suga is in a room with a piano and fire, destined to watch the things he loves most burn. Jin is in a room with his flower (his truth) that he’s supposed to protect and never let it be known, which he fails.

There’s a whole theory on why JK is so separate but I’ll post that later.
