Last night I sat down and made two spreads in my journal for two new summer reading BINGO challenges 😻 The 6th annual @therippedbodice Summer Romance Bingo is off and running! This one goes all summer #rippedbodicebingo and I’ve already got some ideas for titles based on prompts (stickers on this page were a birthday present from @franzencomesalive years ago 💖💖💖) And then Reading the Rainbow hosted by @booms.books @b.andherbooks and @onthesamepa9e started! As the tag says, #BDTB presents a queer romance bingo for Pride 🌈 I’ve also got some ideas for titles to fit the prompts, but the problem is which category would fit best…like, should I put The Perfect Crimes of Marian Hayes by @catswrites on the HistRom prompt or the Be Gay Do Crimes prompt? Decisions…. 2. Is there a fic you hope to finish this year?

🤔🤔🤔 There are two main ones I want to finish 🤭🤭 You know one of them as "the Covid fic" and the other one is what one of my friends dubbed "the 5 year fic" back in 2017 because I planned for 5 years of story, but has become the 5 year fic because it's 2022 and I've never finished it hahahha. I really want to have the former out soon-ish, and I want to start posting the second one (a multichapter) as soon as I have a few more chapters rounded up.

3. Is there anything new you want to try with your writing? A new genre? Style of writing?

I'd love to try new genres cos let's be honest, I've only written romance and coming of age stories up to now, so it would be nice to dip my toes into something new. But the fics I have planned that I want to write this year are still either romance or coming-of-age hahahhaha So idk. We'll see 🤭

10. Do you have goal for this year for your writing? Any word count? A genre you want to mark off?

I'm preparing a 2022 writing bingo for my bujo, but 25 boxes are a lot to fill ahahahha idk about genres, but I have various tropes I want to try: fake dating, time loop, drunken confession etc

17. Any AUs you want to try this year?

You know what, I'd love to write a coffee shop AU, but a character in the "5 year fic" already works at a coffee shop, and I've been noticing in my writing that I repeat themes in every fic I have is the same, so I want to try and diversify hahhaha Having said that, there's a couple other AU's on my writing bingo, so maybe I'll get to those 🤞

19. What's a struggle in your writing you're going to overcome this year?

This is going to sound pretentious as fuck, but I tend to take my writing way too seriously, and I sometimes forget to have fun. Because that's why I started writing, to have fun. So I hope this year I can go back to just writing and having fun without overthinking too much 🤞🙃

Bingo 2024 and my Content Creation Goals.

I'll fill out the 2023 numbers on the 31st December, and work out my goals based on what values those are currently at.

I tried a different technique with using a scalpel to trim the stickers so they could hug around the boxes, and I really like the result!

I ended up using up some Hololive stickers I printed for the Goals, since they have been a bit inspiration for my vtubing career.

MARCH 2019 WRAP UP

It may look like a good reading month (and it is, it totally is) because I read 13 books, but I didn’t read anything one week so this is totally light compared to what I could have read. Either read, it was still damn good cause I read a lot of GREAT books!

Most of these are 4 or 5 star books and 3 of them are from my TBR Bingo so I’m really proud of myself. 7 of these were read in the 10 days vacation I took from work. I KNOW! I did not expect to read that much while I was off but hey, I was not kidding when I said I just want to sit at home and read. LOL Speaking of my bookish bujo, my A to Z Challenge is almost complete. I only have 6 letters of the alphabet left and I’m super impressed with myself at how quickly I got to that point.

No special plans for this upcoming month. It’s weird to think that considering all last year was spent wedding planning but I literally have no plans for the upcoming month. It’s nice to know that when I get a day off of work I can just sit down with a hot cup of coffee and read to my hearts content.

It’s that time again, friends!  A newish month means new bullet journal spreads!  Let’s get right to it!

So again, we’ve got some lame photos in here because I was traveling the first week of April (hence why this is also posted on the 12th and not the 1st — oops) so everything was done in a hurry.  I mean, just last night I filled in my bills tracker so that’s where my life is at this month.

March Recap

March went mostly well.  The new meal tracker was pretty much a win and helped me see that I wasn’t eating enough snacks during the day.  Also, I was pretty lazy some days and didn’t even bother filling it in so it also helped me figure out that I’m still pretty much a lazy bum when it comes to using my Bujo every day.

My TV/Movie tracker was maybe not my best idea.  I don’t watch that much TV so I don’t really know what I was thinking.  Instead it was more of a tracker for TV shows that I already knew I liked (Golden Girls, anyone?) and ended up being mostly useless.  That page got scrapped this month but more on that later.

Finally, the book tracker.  Ugh.  That was a fail so I simplified that this month, too.

I discovered I had a bunch of washi and stickers that related to rain so this month is “April Showers” themed.  Stickers are from all over the place so they are hard to credit.  Please drop a comment if you want to know a specific one.  The little birds and rain clouds are from Michael’s and come from a $1 sticker pack they sold last year.  There’s lots of Happy Planner in there as well!

Spreads:

April starts off the same way as my other bujos: cover page, monthly, goals, and habits.  I wanted to try something new this month to give me a more holistic view of what’s going on in my life.

Being out of work since November, I’ve really had to crack down on my spending.  The budget and spending trackers I introduced last month were amazing.  They did help curb my sticker addiction but I realized I still buy waaaaaaay too much crap I don’t need.  They are back again this month as a reminder that I really don’t need that much craft paper (said no one ever)..

I’m still working on using my meal planner religiously.  So far I’ve already forgotten most of this week.  I’m off to a rocking start.

Because my Netflix/Hulu spread bombed and I was recently diagnosed with PTSD (more on that another time), I added a “Self-Care Bingo” spread to the mix.  I’m so bad at taking care of me, ya’ll.  Yet I regularly speak about the importance of self-care to others.  So I’m upping my game.  I haven’t quite figured out what my Bingo prize will be but I’m pretty sure it will be awesome (or maybe it will just be less stress which is also awesome).

My reading spread last month was…well, ambitious.  Was I ever going to read a bazillion books in a month?  No.  I simplified this month to make me feel less anxious about not reading all the books.  I also removed the section for tracking followers because that was far too tedious for my tiny time schedule.

Then we get back into my “normal” spreads.  I combined my Line A Day and Gratitude spreads into one journaling page.  I upped my creativity on my Currently recap by hand-drawing that sucker (there’s something to be said of the printable though).  Finally, my Wins/Losses page finishes the tracking spreads and we head into my weeklies and dailies.

Final Thoughts:

I’m not skilled at using my journal daily.  MUST GET BETTER!

Today’s #tbt is back to the beginning of July! Cartoon Network blessed us with some all new Steven Universe episodes, and created a new Bingo card. I knew I had to recreate it for my BuJo. After the episodes. I HAD to draw Ruby, Sapphire and Garnet. 😍 THAT WEDDING!!! NGL, I cried. I thought a lot about what song to write behind them, and I chose Do it For Her.
