okay, so I think my brain/heart have finally restarted after that episode. once it had finished, my first thought was “no notes, we truly made it.” (well you know for sure that it was actually about needing Lucy to be climbing into my lap 🍑, but I’m talking about my first coherent thought 🥵).

I’ve been reblogging the same scenes multiple times since it aired as I love them all. like wow, we really got all of this?! we truly are lucky that the writers care about us & this ship as much as we do.

anyhoo, the makeouts were bloody amazing, but it’s the “I love Lucy” being said casually in front of a random person and the getting dressed banter that truly just killed me. those dorks are in DEEP (just like me😮‍💨)

idk there's something so sexy about their dynamic in those scenes and like i have been too wrapped up in just lusting over them to REALLY figure it out. but i feel like something about the way kate sort of guides lucy on top of her in both of them and lucy's then like yeah i'm going to take charge now. and like it's not /super/ dominant or submissive from either of them but like it's very charged!!! idk!!!! still processing 🥵🔥🥵

last thing--i totally agree the scenes of them bantering and working together made me be like these two are IN IT!! like we've known since the pilot ep that they have great sexual chemistry, that's never been a question. but seeing them interact when they're actually happy and in love and have no secrets between them really made me be like wow this is real, this ship really does have it all 🥺💖

You know I used to think "tumblr's absolute refusal to actually engage with the Trolley Problem in favor of insisting that there must be a third, morally pure option that doesn't require them to make a hard decision and anyone who asks them to make a binary choice is just a short-sighted idiot is really fucking annoying, but I guess it's not actually doing any harm".

Listen, you should never film strangers in public without their consent, but I swear there need to be fines or something for people who do that shit in some spaces. For example: I had to go to the ER last night, and some jerk filmed a woman who just came in and was clearly having an asthma attack. She immediately got to go back, and he was unhappy about that. Believe me, I get that it sucks having to wait when you're in pain, but you don't get to pick who deserves care when. The medical system in the US is a nightmare, and the ER could be the worst moment of someone's life. No one deserves to be recorded because some jack ass believes someone doesn't look like they need care.

This is fine to reblog. People who film strangers should be shamed if nothing else.

I cannot express enough that if your reaction, as a hobby artist, to not getting that many notes on your art is to say "maybe I should just stop doing art altogether" you need to stop posting art to tumblr

not necessarily forever, not even for long, but just stop putting your art on here and start doing it for you again, remember why you enjoyed doing art in the first place and stop relying on the attention of faceless people on the internet for your enjoyment of your hard work

believe me, I get it, nothing crushes the artistic soul quite like labouring for hours on a piece only for it to get like 10 notes, so you need to find your own source of joy in the act of creation and a lot of the time that means making art and not showing it to anybody

I was going to wait and poke at this a bit more, but the excitement of Upcoming Episode 7 took over. :') so here's one of my alt ideas for Silver's UM poster! this time with more Diasomnia-appropriate colors (that said, you can tear the pink fluffy clouds away from my cold dead hands)

I also recorded this one, for anyone who's interested in that kind of thing! it includes all my fuckups and changing my mind and spending forever adding details before deciding it looks better without, so, uhhh, enjoy my failures! (I kept trying to draw in his jacket details...it never worked...) also featuring lots of drawing on the wrong layer, forgetting how jackets work, and the black censor boxes of continually forgetting to turn off pop-up notifications. hope you like watching me draw birds!

what i like especially about the pronouns in the goblin emperor is that this language doesn't just have the T-V distinction (aka informal vs. formal second-person pronouns, in this case 'thou' vs. 'you'), it also has informal and formal first-person pronouns. having BOTH of these distinctions in the same language lets you fine-tune your tone by mixing and matching. with only one axis of formality, when you use informal pronouns, are you being familiar in an intimate way, or in an insolent or dismissive way? when you use formal pronouns, are you being polite or standoffish? you can't tell just from the pronouns; there's ambiguity. but a language where you can use a formal first-person pronoun in the same sentence as an informal second-person pronoun allows you to distance yourself (via the formal first) while also being familiar (via the informal second), thereby achieving the conversational tenor known to linguists as Fuck Thee Specifically.

First of all, Tommy kissed BUCK, so jot that down. Tommy was the initiator here.

Second of all, Buck obviously had no clue he could feel attracted to men UNTIL Tommy kissed him (as evidenced by his claim in 7x01), so how on earth was he supposed to realize he's into Eddie 2.5 seconds after kissing a man for the first time?

Third of all, kissing Tommy gives Buck a digestible target to place all of his Big Bisexual Boyfeelings for Eddie. Not recognizing what his feelings are DOES NOT EQUAL him not having feelings at all. As evidenced by this episode and every episode since 2x01, Buck has romantic feelings for Eddie but BOTH of them have been living this heteronormative lie that they can ONLY be best friends. Up until now, Buck FIRMLY believed he could only ever be Eddie's friend because Eddie's a guy and they're both hetero, but now that's not true.

Let Buck have a MINUTE to process his feelings for christ's sake.

I need y'all to start treating this season as if it was Buddie in the very very beginning stages. Because it is. Obviously, Fox was not letting it happen and ABC is only just now giving them the green light to let it happen. They don't want to jump the gun and trust me we will ALL be thankful they took their sweet time in the end.

Get used to things taking a while and learn some patience. Some of us have been waiting for an episode like this for seven years. This arc is only just starting and we just got greenlit for season 8. Let the show unveil the story at its own pace, and don't stress needlessly.
