   His eyes lift back to Soma’s face only to drop to the box that is being extended to him. Surprise and curiosity flare in equal measure as he gently takes the spontaneous offering. It doesn’t take a genius to make the connection between the inquiry and what likely rests inside the box. But it still draws a small smile even without looking inside it. Maybe it’s silly, but the act of being offered something was enough in itself to touch the bushi.

   The doctor opens the box with the same care and grace that he’d accepted it with, eyes immediately focusing on the belt that rests inside it. He draws in a small breath, pupils dilated with interest as he runs his fingers over the pattern of it with a light touch, feeling it between his fingertips. He’s not oblivious to the similarities of pattern. But this one is toned down in a way to compliment Seiroku’s style. A sharp punch of color otherwise would have meant eyes would only be drawn to his waist. To think Soma would offer something so close to his own style to him. It stuns him while simultaneously makes his chest warm. It also renders him temporarily speechless as he came to the realization of it. Soma had a funny knack for doing that. 

   “  Thank you, Soma.  “  He pulls the belt from its resting place inside the box to truly appreciate it. It’s true that Seiroku wouldn’t have gone for it himself - he is not so arrogant as to pull off a stunt like trying to have a pattern similar. But this was a gift. An offering for the doctor to done something that ties him in not to the clan, but with its captain.  It can’t be just any belt, that much is obvious. “  It really is beautiful.  “

    His eyes lift from the belt towards Soma and brighten with a thought. Seiroku lifts his hands, unclasping the golden swords that always accompany him from the previous belt. It’s only his outer robe after all. The temporary belt is pulled away to be replaced by the new one without hesitation. He takes a moment to admire it himself before looking towards Soma, promptly giving a graceful spin to show it off on all sides. Soma had gifted it - shouldn’t he naturally be the first to see it and give his verdict?

   “  So?  What do you think?  “  He inquires, black hair cascading to the side when he glances towards the leader with a smile. Perhaps if he’d had a more docile personality it would be too much. But Seiroku is not a meek and docile sort of person - he wears it with confidence.  “  I personally love it.  “
