Dc x dp idea 98
John and JLD are up against a threat from the infinite realm. When the being goes to declare their plans to destroy the planet. The being suddenly comes to a halt.
Apparently there is a single ecto entity that has a haunt on this planet. So they can’t flat out destroy the planet, that would just be rude.
Upon an investigation. As they are definitely gonna scout out who the ecto entity is at the minimum. They find none other the Cujo.
Seeing as it’s quite common for ecto animals to claim an ecto being in the realm as their “haunt”. The JLD assume Cujo, who is asleep on Danny, claimed Danny as his.

IM SO SORRY I JUST FOUND THIS IN MY DRAFTS
Response to astral au tags from @dysfunctionalburden
Tumblr media
Basically they both looked at earth and thought "hey that planet looks really fun, we should go chill". And so they did. Just. Bam, they were there. I think it's funnier if I don't explain how. They are just built different.
They thought the league trial looked like an interesting tradition to participate in, so they decided to just be kids for a bit and they lived out lives as normal (but slightly glowy) guys.
At least until Giratina vibe checked Ingo.
Tumblr media
The fact that Procyon disappeared from the sky in the modern day is huge for the astronomy community, but doesn't have much of an effect on the universe as a whole. Now, for the boys personally...
Sorry not sorry, this is an evil-ish gira au. Bad in the sort of "doesn't care about the consequences of its actions" way. Giratina got bored and and found some of its sibling's creations wandering around on earth. Naturally it decided to play around with no care for how much damage it was doing.
Ingo drew the short straw.
Normally, Ingo would have had a really long lifespan compared to human perception of time. A star Procyon's size would just continue to burn up its fuel until there was not enough left, and then it would become a much smaller and dimmer white dwarf star. That wouldn't be too bad, after all, Emmet is already a white dwarf.
However. Star life cycles are entirely dependent on the effects of mass and gravity. And Giratina, the literal deity of gravity (and I will die on that hc hill), decided to mess around. Giratina caused Ingo to prematurely collapse, but not into a white dwarf as he should have. Ingo went boom, and he left behind two pieces: a supernova, and a black hole.
Supernova got sent to Hisui, and oh boy he's struggling. Supernovae don't last very long, only taking a week at most to reach maximum brightness before fading over the course of a few weeks. I'm giving him the luxury of more time bc *handwavy bs go* but he's definitely aware that he doesn't have much. Add to that that he has to somehow contain the destruction of a cosmic explosion in his tiny human body...
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Black Hole Ingo is left behind in Nimbasa, and Emmet is not having a great time. Fortunately for Nimbasa, Ingo isn't a hazard. Unfortunately for Emmet, he can't touch Ingo without getting tired and feeling like he's falling.

What are your thoughts on the Al ghuls?
Tumblr media
My second favorite dysfunctional family (behind Slade Wilson, his ex-wife, his butler, his children and Terra which I collectively call the DeathFam). The Al Ghuls specifically Ra's Al Ghul and Talia are my favorite batman villains, sometimes anti-villain, and in Talia's case sometimes Anti-Hero (My Girl's got range.) Since you asked my thoughts I will try to give them as organized as possible but warning there are a lot.
1. On The League in General
The League, the Lazarus Pits, and the mythology surrounding them is one of the coolest parts of DC Lore in general. In my opinion the best portrayals of the league are when they are one hundred percent genuine about their ideals. One joke I like to make is that Poison Ivy and Ra's are both environmentalists, but unlike Poison Ivy R'as actually has a plan and resources. Ra's love for the world and his desire to save it is at the core of his character, and the reason he will not let himself die, or let go in any real way because his work is not done.
One aspect I do not like about the league is that they are supposed to be antagonists, but I wish Ra's plan was more developed than "kill a whole bunch of people so the resources can be split amongst the survivors." That's such a disagreeable plan Ra's point to make about how the whole planet is dying and nothing superheroes do is really fixing that problem is kind of lost. It's also as dumb as movie Thanos idea to snap and destroy half the life in the universe. If I were to tweak it, I would make Ra's agenda more in line of a communist revolution. That is get rid of the capitalistic systems that drive the destruction of earth's natural resources for endless production and profit. That change would make some of the leagues motivations and methods much more sympathetic.
The league would still be villains however, because even if in this tweaked versions their methods are understandable they're still a big huge cult. Which is an aspect that a lot of fans and sometimes comic writers seem to miss. In the microcosm (Ra's personal family) and the macrocosm (the whole league) the league is a cult centered entirely around Ra's ego, his ideals, his wishes. Even if you can sympathize with their ideas of revolution and go "Hey, that might work" the League is still going about it the wrong way because they constantly prey upon vulnerable minors and people on the edge of society and then raise them up into loyal pledges to a cause. A lot of real life fringe groups do this too. In this version the league recruits members because it's easier this way, which is in line with Ra's character. The whole conflict with Ra's is that he just will not let go of control, he talks about how he wants an heir to take over everything but that's never going to happen because he won't even let himself die. You could fix this too, take the league out of Ra's hands, reform it, and it could be a more genuine force for good. So yeah, my take is less the league isn't good because they assassinate politicians and have more revolutionary ideals, but rather the league is bad because they regularly groom minors.
2. Ra’s Al Ghul
Tumblr media
Here is a comic panel of Daphne from Scooby Doo sword fighting Ra’s Al Ghul, mostly because I love it.
Ra’s is THE Batman villain for me. If the Joker represents Batman’s completely anti-thesis, then Ra’s is Bruce, all of his ideals, his nobility, taken to their most logical extreme. He’s the definition of the noble demon. If you want to ready story arcs that I think show off Ra’s at his best, there’s the “Tower of God” storyline where Ra’s finds all of Batman’s measures against the Justice League he prepared in case any of them turned evil and then decides to use them himself. Then there is “Injustice 2″ which is one of the better depictions of Ra’s where he is at his most genuine to his goal of environmentalism and even at points sits down at the table to talk with the superheroes in a more peaceful manor on how they could be doing better.
If the Tower of God storyline did not explain it to you, Ra’s reflects Bruce in good aspects and bad ones. The same relentless dedication that Bruce has to saving Gotham, Ra’s applies to the whole world. Ra’s also like other batman villains shows how a generally positive trait like Bruce’s insane levels of dedication can easily turn into a flaw. Bruce has no powers just his martial arts training, but just will not give up under any circumstances. Ra’s determination gets him into a horrible cycle of corrupting himself worse and worse over the years both due to overuse of the pits and also frustration at a world that refuses to change, and also shows in his inability to surrender power in any real way.
The way Ra’s treats his direct family, and the league as a whole is also a dark mirror to Batman and the Bat Family. Now, I don’t believe that Bruce is raising up hero sidekicks as child soldiers... Suspension of disbelief people! However,  Ra’s genuinely does treat all of his children as tools for his agenda. As much as he has the capacity to love them, their needs and desires will always come second to his use for them. Ra’s is undeniably a groomer not in the sexual sense but in the sense he is using his position of power raising up and manipulating these minors to shape them into what he wants them to be.
Ra’s also represents Bruce’s paranoia and the times where he abuses his position as patriarch of a family to manipulate his kids lives. Ra’s is undeniably the one who holds the most power in the Al Ghul family, and he uses that imbalance in power entirely to his own ends. What he creates is a cycle of generational abuse that lasts all the way until Damian.  Ra’s also represents Bruce’s sometimes toxic ideas of masculinity turned up to 11. My man is a 400 year old misogynist. He is obsessed with ideas like divine birthright, dynasty, legacy as shown by the way he once again treats his children. His oldest son is disqualified for being albino and therefore having a defect, Nyssa and Talia are disqualified for being born women. The fact that Bruce represents his ideal heir and he is a man with money and power the peak of what society considers is masculinity is you know, telling of his opinions towards gender. Bruce and Ra’s are both carriers of family legacies, who devote all of their money and power to their genuinely good goals, but Ra’s seems to believe that might makes right, the money, resources and bloodline he has makes him inherently better or even chosen. Which cycles into the reason why he will never let go of said power.
3. Talia Al Ghul
Talia is my favorite member of the family, she is also hardest to talk about because she suffers from two things number one being wildly different depending on the writer, and two orientalism. Now I won’t discuss this much not because I don’t think it’s important but because I’m not qualified to talk on such subjects and a practicer of the “stay in your own lane” philosophy. The orientalism in Talia’s character is undeniably there, and also a part of a pattern in DC where female brown mothers are regularly villainized to make their white fathers look better. I think Grant Morrison’s take on Talia is inherent dehumanizing of her and kind of reducing her to a plot object, and also a deviation from the original ideas her character was meant to represent. I think also Talia has a habit of being reduced to her relationships to the men in her life rather than her own person with you know thoughts and feelings. Women have those. The league also as a whole is orientalist as a concept there’s really no getting away from that.
Just as an example of how Talia and Damian’s relationship could be better depicted than it currently is in comics. There’s a storyline in the fourth season of Young Justice that I really like (even though I don’t like the cartoon that much) which explores the family dynamic between Cheshire, Roy and Lian. Cheshire attempted to stay with Roy to raise Lian for awhile, until she went back to the lifestyle and could not give it up. Her sister Artemis eventually goes after her and it’s revealed that Cheshire left Lian with Roy not because she chose being an assasin over her but Cheshire believes she is inherently bad and harmful person and has too much in common with her abusive father and if she is in that kid’s life she will only hurt them. It also ends on a hopeful note that if Cheshire puts the work in on becoming a more emotionally healthy version of herself she could return to that household.
Now that that disclaimer is out of the way (please don’t yell at me for this I love Talia. If you want to discuss it further please use my askbox, I don’t like it when people reblog my posts to argue with me.) The most interesting aspect of the Demon’s Head is the generational abuse storyline. There’s no two ways about it, Talia repeats the cycle with Damian. That’s what makes abuse generational. Once again the whole storyline from conception of Talia having a secret love child with Bruce is kind of orientalist but you have to work with the plotline you got. At least until somebody retcons it.
Now I am going to go on a long diatribe on how Talia repeating a cycle of abuse that starts with Ra’s does not make her an inherently bad person. This is where I am qualified to talk because I’ve done a lot of research into this subject! Talia grew up in a cult. Not only that she was the direct daughter of the cult’s leader. In the microcosm Ra’s family is what you would call a Narcisstic Family Structure: a family centered around one person’s individual needs where the other’s needs go underlooked. In the macrocosm it’s a goddamn cult.
People view members of cults as either stupid, or immoral for joining because they imagine it could never happen to them, but the way cults work is by preying on vulnerabilities every single person has.
No one joins a cult voluntarily; they are recruited into it. There is lack of informed consent. Everyone has vulnerabilities. Possible situational vulnerabilities include illness, the death of a loved one, breakup of an important relationship, loss of a job, or moving to another city, state or country. [x]
Haruki Murakami wrote a book named “Underground: The Tokyo Gas Attack and the Japanese Psyche.” It is a non-fiction book containing several interviews of victims in the aftermath of the Saren Gas Attacks. This is a real life event where the Aum Shinrikyo Cult convinced its members to release Saren gas in several subway trains. While the attack was viewed by society as an act of fringe extremists, the cult was made up of members who were educated people, doctors, lawyers, who were still somehow convinced this was a good idea.
The interviews highlight many intriguing aspects of the Japanese psyche. Work was a high, if not central, priority for most of the interviewees. Isolation, individualism, and lack of communication were also strong themes which were common throughout many accounts of the attacks. Many of the interviewees expressed disillusionment with the materialism in Japanese society and the sensationalistic media, as well as the inefficiency of the emergency response system in dealing with the attack.
The book also includes Murakami's personal essay on the attacks, "Blind Nightmare: Where Are We Japanese Going?" In this essay, he criticizes the failure of the Japanese to learn from the attacks, preferring to dismiss it as the extreme act by a group of lunatics rather than analyze the true causes and prevent similar events from occurring in the future.
I bring this up once again to reinforce the idea that anyone can be preyed upon by a cult, and Talia was literally born into that environment. Clts also operate with a specific method of cutting off their members from the outside world to cut off their ability to leave (BITE: Behavior Control, Information Control, Thought Control, Emotional Control). Talia grew up in an environment where most likely all her social interactions and her contact with the outside world was controlled by Ra’s and only Ra’s because in most versions her mother dies early in her life usually in some horrific way.
That’s not even getting to the kind of parent that Ra’s is. He is always a really outwardly loving parent to Talia, but that love comes with a big huge asterisk. Ra’s loves his children until they either have a defect, or they decide to be someone other than what he wants them to be, at which point he either cuts them off, or relies on emotional manipulation to regain control. Talia’s only parental figure was both extremely loving, but made it clear that love was conditional. Even if Talia tries to live up to Ra’s expectations of her and be what he wants her to be, she’s immediately disqualified from actually taking on the mantle she was groomed for her entire life by being a woman. Even the original concept of Talia’s character who is much more anti-hero than anti-villain chooses her father over Bruce at times because Ra’s conditional love is what she knows, whereas Bruce’s love for her is something she does not understand fully even if she desires it.
I’m going to bring up my favorite comic book character Terra here. Terra was also a character who her creators have said several disrespectful things about and she was not created by the best of intentions. However, Terra is a unique character because she is one of the few grooming and CSA victims who is allowed to be downright unlikable, to show her trauma in what are considered to be traditionally bad ways. She’s a character with flaws and agency and stuff. Terra represents a specific kind of fifteen year old kid who usually does not get help and adults believe is a lost cause. Characters who carry Terra’s trauma either magically get over it, or they are just reduced to weak, pitiful shells. I’d rather have Terra be the mess she is than either of those things. It’s honest to a reality that certain people face, and also shows victims who would not normally get sympathy.
I just went to great length to establish the horror of Talia’s upbringings so she’d undeniably be affected by it. I won’t even mention what kind of mother Talia is because wildly depends on the author, but the decision to raise Damian in that cult rather than try to leave is her perpetuating the cycle. This is something that happens in real life too, parents who are preyed upon by cults will either drag their kids into it, or raise them up in that same life when they are young and vulnerable. It’s undeniably something she did to Damian and deserves to be called out on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If Talia shares Ra’s nobility and idealism she also reflects his bad qualities as well, his belief in special people, of causes that succeed individuals, of noble purposes. Especially since these are toxic ideas that Ra’s has essentially forced onto her. I don’t even think Talia is past the point of redemption or incapable of learning to be a better mother, because while abuse is a chain it’s also a chain that can be broken.
4. Damian Wayne / Al-Ghul
To begin with I don’t think Bruce is a good parent to Damian, and Talia is a bad one. They both kind of fail Damian in equal and totally different ways. I don’t believe Robin is a child soldier, but right away making Damian Robin is kind of a mistake because Bruce makes him Robin to try to fix some perceived flaw from being raised by the League, when really Damian is more or less just a ten year old kid reacting how any ten year old kid would if they were groomed their entire life and had that kind of destiny practically forced upon them.
The difference between Talia and Damian is of course, Damian got out of there which gives him a unique opportunity that Talia didn’t to make connections outside of the League and to the outside world and therefore learn to think in different ways then how he was raised to think. Damian represents the chance to break the cycle of generational abuse passed down from grandfather, to mother, to son.
Because like I said Damian reserves the right to call out his mother for not choosing to put him first, but at the same time Damian undeniably loves his mother. Even in the storylines where they have a strained relationship at best Damian is fiercely loyal to her because essentially Damian and Talia want the same thing which is to have a loving family of their own, and to be their own people outside of their usefulness to other people (cough, cough, Ra’s).
Damian’s character arc tends to repeat a lot but there are more modern storylines that are pushing Damian in this direction where his goal is a reconciliation of the past and to be able to move on with a healthier version of their relationship. Ra’s getting shot in the head helped a whole lot.
Damian represents a chance to break the cycle for both himself and his mom, because like I said Talia isn’t an inherently bad person, or a bad parent, she just like anybody else has an opportunity to grow and develop as a person especially if one day she gets to finally move on from the league. People can be influenced by circumstances, but also circumstances change and in better environments people have a chance to do better. Damian isn’t obligated to forgive either parent for the ways they’ve failed him but at the same time he clearly wants a connection with both of his parents, and is willing to work with them on it.
It is funny how Damian typically gets portrayed as the edgy Robin, because in my mind he’s actually one of the most normal ones. He acts like a thirteen year old boy, with the needs of a thirteen year old boy, he desires a normal life outside of capes and costumes. He just has been told he’s the chosen one all his life and that’s had an effect on the way he views the world. Damian has every chance to break the chain that Ra’s started though, and that’s probably where the comics should go if they didn’t repeat the same plotline with him like nine million times.

How do you think Delgado!Master would feel if he could see what he's become? Do you think he would respect Dhawan!Master?
Oh, this is SUCH a fascinating question, and I'm ashamed to say that I'm definitely not the most qualified to answer it because my Delgado!Master knowledge is extremely limited...however! Based on what I do know of him (which might be somewhat incorrect, so please anyone feel free to correct me) I think there are two key difference with Dhawan!Master compared to Delgado that would strike him:
First - if I've read the room right, Delgado!Master's whole thing is basically 'my spouse got exiled to this random boring planet, so I'm going to go there and cause problems to keep him from getting bored'. All those evil schemes are just part of a game for the Doctor and the Master - playing chess across time and space, so to speak (or just kiss chase, as I believe it is put at one point SKKS). But with Dhawan, it's very different. I don't think Thirteen quite gets that, actually, which is part of the problem - but this whole thing is no longer a game to the Master anymore. Because after everything he discovered in the Matrix, he (mistakenly) believes that the history between him and the Doctor will no longer mean anything to her. That they're no longer equals, that he's just another pet to her. In reality, she IS completely done with him - but that's because of her believing that Missy betrayed her, combined with all the awful things he's done this time around. She thinks he's still playing that old game, and she's tired of it, tired of the death and destruction that he causes just to get her attention. But it's not a game anymore. Not to him.
Second - one of the CORE traits that defines the Master both in classic who and in nuwho is their desperate will to survive, right? They'll do anything just to get more regenerations, more life - stealing bodies, getting cults to resurrect them, etc. etc. But Dhawan!Master....he doesn't care anymore. He's done. At times he's apathetic about dying (see: the moment in TTC when he muses about how the Death Particle could have gone off when he used the TCE on Ashad, and how he wouldn't have even minded that) and other times he's actively seeking it out (see: him goading the Doctor into committing murder-suicide at the end of TTC). I'd even go so far as to say his main aim for his whole regeneration is to die with the Doctor - because if they didn't begin together, then at least they can end together. She can kill the two of them with the Death Particle, or he can steal her body and BECOME her - because even the whole forced regeneration thing wasn't ANYTHING to do with the Master trying to get her regenerations, but rather everything to do with the Master not wanting to be the Master anymore. I actually think he almost hoped that someone WOULD kill him when he was the Doctor, or that the process itself would kill him, because then that would have been another way in which they died together, if that makes sense.
So like - I think those things are pretty stark differences, right? And I don't know enough about Delgado to say how he's react to those differences, or whether he'd respect Dhawan!Master or not...but, as a rule, whilst the Doctor seems to hate their other regenerations on sight, the Master appears to be quite friendly (or even VERY friendly) with themself when they interact with previous/future regenerations. So I think that Delgado would have some respect for him - he might even feel the same as him, if he knew everything that Dhawan knew. I don't know though - he might be annoyed at Dhawan!Master's impulsivity and how erratic he can be, compared to how calm and restrained Delgado!Master often appears to be.
However. That said. One thing that always, always defines the Master, and probably always will, is that their connection with the Doctor drives everything that they do. And I reckon that if Delgado met Dhawan!Master...saw Gallifrey destroyed, saw all that stuff buried in the Matrix about the Timeless Child, found out that it was the Doctor...I honestly think he would have just nodded and been like yes. This was the correct reaction. Because the Master says in TTC that he did it because he was angry about what it meant about him, and his identity, rather than anything to do with the Doctor. And, of course, he's a selfish idiot, so that was definitely a part of it. But I also think that a significant motivator was because they built up the Time Lord society on top of ground drenched in the Doctor's blood. And no-one is allowed to hurt the Doctor except the Master. And that, if nothing else, I'm sure Dhawan!Master and Delgado!Master can agree on.

For all that they talk about GRRM being anti-war, anti-monarchy and anti-feudalism, they love neglecting to mention that he’s anti-Catholicism.
Disclaimer: if in any way I come across as agressive, it's not at all directed at you anon, I'm speaking very generally here, thank you for your ask💖
Listen. The sheer notion of "anti-war" is the stupidest of the stupidest political/moral/ethical attitudes that someone could have. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but someone needs to say it. "Anti-war" doesn't mean ANYTHING. Anti-which war exactly? You need to be specific. Not all wars are the same, not all wars are created equal, there are some wars that need to happen, that are fair, and some wars that shouldn't happen. Yes of course, it depends on where you're standing. But it always does, that's life. And of course in every war there are people suffering, but that's life again. If the enemy comes at your doorstep and wants to destroy you and everything you love or if you have been violently evicted from your homeland, what will you say exactly? Hunie I ain't doin' anything about dat cause I'm anti-war? Lol. No. The "anti-war" agenda is only relevant for privileged, white Americans and Europeans thinking they are Americans, who haven't felt threatened once in their life, who haven't lost anything, who don't know anything about human history and think that the solution to every problem on planet earth is peace and love. No.
GRRM definitely isn't anti war. There is no way a person that dedicates decades of his life reading and writing about brave warriors is anti war. Sure he's "anti- war" in the sense that he doesn't particularly fancy going out with a sword decapitating people, but he's not anti war in any fundamental way. And newsflash, none of the fans of these shows/books are. We're literally dedicating years of our lives reading about war and watching war happen and supporting aristocrats that lead their people to war. That's literally the plot of the story. So no, in real life I'm not anti war, and in the ASOIAF universe I'm definitely not anti war. All of my favourite characters are warriors and/or leaders to battle, Jon, Jaime, Dany, Stanis, Brienne. It's exactly the same thing in any fantasy story. Watching a fantasy story about warriors and being anti war is the most idiotic thing you can do. Go watch Gilmore Girls. Unfortunately, people who should have stuck to Gilmore Girls ended up watching GoT because of its popularity, and that's the very reason we have the Anti-Targaryen phenomenon.
The same for anti monarchy. Like, I don't particularly approve of monarchy, my country has no monarchy because we literally chased the monarch away, thank god, and I don't think it's a good model of political structure in any country. That doesn't mean that I don't acknowledge that Europeans lived with that for centuries. Some monarchs/emperors literally changed history for the better. They conquered, they educated, they revolutionised, they made progress, they broke centuries of tradition. I don't see monarchy, again, through the lense of the privileged American who thinks their country discovered democracy and scorns any other political system because they just know better. No honey you don't, and you didn't discover shit. Magna Carta was created under Monarchy. The Catholicism received it's fatal blow because of a Monarch. Women and bastards gained power and legitimacy because one day a female bastard decided that she could be a better Queen than her brother or her perfect religious female cousin. Cities and schools were created by monarchs. Scientific progress that changed the world was funded by Monarchs. They also did terrible things, they are also responsible for destruction, slavery, misery. But perfectly democratic leaders side eyeing literally every single President of the USA ever also did all of the above. My whole point is, you can be "anti monarchy" if you don't like the way it works, that's fine, I am as well, but if you think that every single Monarch in history was just a "bad person" and you don't acknowledge the value and impact of certain rulers and certain periods of human history then you're simply illiterate. Again, people who think that way somehow ended up watching Game of Thrones, a show about Monarchs, and again, that explains the Targaryen hate. Watching a show that tells the story of Monarchs and Aristocrats doing vile and great/heroic deeds and being "Anti-monarchy"? Sure, you can be, but what is the point of that observation in that context exactly? It makes you look like a fool.
About anti Catholicism. Sure the faith of the seven has clear parallels to the Catholicism, the Great Sparrow was a character that came straight from the Inquisition, the Hightowers are pious little hypocrites that hate women and demonize sex and bastards. The parallel is there. In that particular aspect I do think GRRM consistently shows obsessing over religion as something inherently bad in his universe but it's really not that important because religion is not the focus of the story. Power is. The Hightowers' problem is not that they are religious, even though that makes them even more unlikeable. Their problem is that they are greedy MFs that started a war for nothing and they destroyed an entire realm because they preferred that than to see a ruler with a vagina on the Iron Throne. So it's not about religion exactly, it's about a unfair war (a war motivated by greed and treason) versus a fair war (a war motivated by the need to reclaim what has been taken from you by force and treachery). GRRM is definitely anti Catholicism though, that much is certain, but religion has a secondary role in his universe any way.

Activon and its Fall - Actinium
Tumblr media
cw: destruction of a whole planet
Activon was one of the FIRST colonized planets in this universe, and they were actually very advanced compared to what the history books tell them. They were wiped out by this force called The Great Reckoning (A solar flare knocked out their grid, and then they got "targeted" aka their planet got hit with rocky debris and asteroids, causing the planet to quite literally fall apart into pieces), and they decided that the best course of action was to take their stasis pods (cruder than other current stasis pods but it definitely still worked).
They put all of their younger population (from new adults to like 30 [in earth years/numbers] into them, ship them off while the planet and systems were still whole and powered with the emergency generators (they could only afford the larger facilities, not enough for that PLUS the houses, so they came together and decided on this). They sent off these pods to the spatial vacuum and jettisoned them out of the Activon atmosphere, keeping them in stasis until the pods found coordinates to habitable planets, where they then would land, open, and the person would be free to live the rest of their life there.
This was done to try and preserve what was left of the population Since there were few other Activon people left, though, the population became very diluted. Most of the stasis pods opened once they found habitable planets, but there were already other populations on it (ones that hadn't been properly colonized to form a planetary union but were civilized all the same), and they mingled and eventually became assimilated into that population, which increased their survival 100 fold

Steve Rogers: A Brief Character Analysis
I have seen way too many posts over the past year that hate on or attribute incorrect character traits to Stevie Boy, so this is in response to those misconceptions and baseless grievances, of which I will be addressing four: that Steve is egotistic, impulsive, entitled, and selfish.
First, Steve Rogers is not an impulsive person when it comes to making important ethical decisions. He has made a habit of acting upon his principles to the best of his ability in specific circumstances. CACW emphasizes this aspect of Steve’s personality. He is the only one to actually read through the Accords; Tony certainly doesn’t and Vision only looks at things from a vague general perspective and not the actual policies that are being implemented. Steve isn’t against rules; when he is being held in the office in Germany he tells Tony that if there were changes to the Accords— changes that would make them actually useful— he would sign them and be a willing participant. (I have addressed related issues with the Accords here, if anyone is interested. )
The whole presentation that Ross gives is a clear sign to Steve— and, arguably, Sam— that this is the objective of the Accords: it’s a power play. (Why the other avengers don’t see this— especially Rhodey and Natasha— I have no fucking clue. Chalk it up to the Russo brothers not being capable of staying true to their characters. *cough* endgame *cough* anyway…) They use the four incidences of mass destruction that the avengers partook in to guilt them into signing and it partially works. (Ahem, Tony) But the reality of who is culpable in these instances is most definitely not as Secretary Shithead Ross makes it out to be.
The battle of New York was largely instigated by SHIELD (surprise, surprise: a government sanctioned organization) who took it upon themselves to create weapons from alien technology. That situation was further exacerbated by the world security council sending a nuke which Tony had to get rid of, a task which caused him to have major PTSD.
Washington D.C. was to stop Hydra, another power hungry organization, which had taken over SHIELD (again, a government sanctioned organization), and if they hadn’t taken down those helicarriers millions of people would have died. The deaths that resulted from their destruction were an accident and an unfortunate consequence.
Lagos was a mission to stop some of the remaining aforementioned Hydra assholes from attacking innocent people with biological weapons. Brock Rumlow is to blame for the explosion which Wanda tried to maintain. Again, an unfortunate accident.
Even Sokovia, to a certain degree was out of the avengers hands. Tony created Ultron to serve as a protector of earth; a shield, not a weapon. However, the mind stone, upon giving Ultron a consciousness, altered his programming. Tony, nor Bruce, are to blame for the actions of Ultron who acted apart from them and the programming that they gave him, just as a parent is not responsible for their grown child, who was raised to understand that killing people is wrong, murdering people. Though the two geniuses are to blame for ultron’s creation, and it is most definitely problematic that they would try to implement it without the consent of the rest of the planet (though I’m not 100% positive that that’s what happened), they are not morally culpable for the actions of an independent agent which diverted from the given programming. More than that, they did the right thing by trying to stop the vibranium-stealing metal fucker from killing everyone.
All that to say that Steve very much thinks through his decisions and impulsively acts upon ethical principles that he has already ingrained within his own psyche. However, He continues to be introspective, and is constantly questioning what the right and wrong thing to do is; this is evidenced by the conversation he has with Peggy in CATWS where he tells her that he’s doubting his own understanding of what is right and wrong in light of SHIELD’s building of the helicarriers. It’s not that he doesn’t know if the intended function of the helicarriers is wrong (because it most certainly is: “This isn’t freedom. This is fear.”), but whether or not working for SHIELD, a government organization, is the right thing to do if they are going to partake in such morally questionable practices. His actions are driven by this constant ethical and philosophical debate he has going on in his head. (Which is just another reason why endgame is a load of shit, but that is a rant for another time.)
Secondly, though his beef with Tony in the Avengers film (the only egotistic instance I could think of) seems to fit that egotistical billing, it could (and should) be argued that he is fresh out of the ice, and all he knows is that Peggy, the woman he loves and just lost, was the one who started the organization and he trusted her completely, so his trust of SHIELD is really just his trust of Peggy. Moreover, he and Tony butt heads because of the persona that the latter frequently puts on. Steve, as I will argue soon, is a very selfless and loyal person, and he is intolerant of people's bullshit. Was it a misjudgment of Tony on his part? Yes, but it's a misjudgment that even the people closest to Tony made early on in their relationships with him because Tony uses it as a mental shield (another analysis for another time.) Anyways, the fact that Steve was trying to instigate the physical fight with Tony is absolute bullshit writing, because all throughout CATFA Steve is NEVER the one to instigate the fight; he won't back down from it, but he won't be the first one to throw blows. The fact that his behavior is contrary to this in the Avengers can be attributed to the writers' and Joss Whedon's inability to understand Steve's character, something that happens way too frequently in the MCU. (Another excellent post about Steve Rogers not being impulsive and egotistical can be found here.)
Third, Steve Rogers is NOT entitled; he doesn’t expect people to follow him. He very much is still in the mindset of the little guy from Brooklyn who nobody would listen to and asshole “men” would beat up because he called them out on their bullshit. He grew up in a time where eugenics was a popular political stance, meaning he was ostracized and belittled because of his health issues and his physiology; he would have been deemed genetically inferior and therefore a lesser being by many and treated as such. His entire speech in the Triskelion in CATWS emphasizes that he doesn’t think people will follow him and he doesn’t ask them to. He asks them to do the right thing because he believes in the goodness of individuals (as he says in his letter to Tony in CACW). He appeals to their individual humanity, their individual principles and ethics; he’s not trying to rally them behind him, but is encouraging them to do what they know to be the right thing on their own and of their own volition. Furthermore, he doesn’t oppose people questioning his judgement, but he is not going to let Rhodey stand there with his air of self-righteousness and tell him that the accords are the right way to go when he hasn’t even fucking read them! (Something which doesn’t seem fitting with Rhodes’s character, but hey, what do I know? 🙄) He holds people to the same standards he holds himself (which is why he is constantly butting heads with Tony, who holds himself to a high standard but in some questionable ways) and he expects everyone to make an informed decision. Again, this is seen in his speech in CATWS; he gives the SHIELD agents all the facts (though he doesn’t exactly have time to give them proof) and lets them make the decision for themselves.
Lastly, but most importantly, Steve is selfless; he does the right thing despite it being the more difficult path. He could have easily submitted to the Accords, or retired and said “this is not my problem,” but he risked his own life and freedom because he knew that Bucky was innocent and that there was a greater threat on the horizon. Being on the run from one nation, as he did in CATWS (something that a lot of people forget) is difficult, let alone being on the run from 117. This is not an easy feat and he fucking knows it. This is most certainly not a decision he makes impulsively. He does what he does because he values all human life, despite the potential loss of his own. Though he is not perfect (he should have told Tony what had actually happened to his parents, and he definitely could have explained his position on the Accords better, though I’m not sure how in character either of these behaviors are), he is a true hero because he sacrifices his own life for the safety and freedom of all of humanity at the risk of losing both, himself. (This is the most important reason why endgame is a load of shit, but, again, a rant for another time.)
The other Avengers certainly have their flaws, but they are not all impulsive (Nat being a prime example of one who is not, Tony of one who is). And as much shit as I give Tony, he is a very robust character with lots of characteristics and a well developed back story and I love him. I might do a character analysis on him and others in the future, but I will save those essays for a later date.

series is ongoing
series masterlist:
BANG
She jolts awake from the peaceful sleep she so rarely gets to experience, having heard a large explosive sound she gets up immediately to search for what may have caused such a thing. Din awoke with the movement of her getting up, groaning and turning over.
“Din, I heard something.” She says quietly as he begins to sit up, he reaches down to grab his helmet and put it back on before she turned on the lights in the small courters.
He moved quickly to the door as another large sound rang throughout the ship. The left engine, for Makers sake, Din realizes this in his hurry and rushes to mend the problem.
As she waits she wonders if this engine problem will be reparable without having to land at the nearest port. The door hisses as it opens to reveal Din, his helmet hides his expression but by the slump of his shoulders she could tell something was amiss.
“I’m so sorry, but it’s not looking like something I can fix myself. I have to land at the nearest port but…” he trails off as if not wanting to reveal something.
“What?” She asks inquisitively, an air of caution to her tone.
“We have to go back to Tatooine, Peli is the only mechanic I trust to touch this ship.” He says apprehensively, knowing the backlash he would receive.
“Din… no, I won’t, we have to go somewhere else,” she says in a stern tone, making her boundary known.
“You can stay sealed in the ship the whole time, Peli will be there in the mechanics bay, it will be fine,” Din reassured, knowing her worry that those who were still looking for them would recognize the ship and come for them.
“No one will hurt you, mesh’la. No one, I promise,” Din assured her once more, gathering her in his arms and running a large hand over the crown of her head in a soothing manner. Din hated to put her in this emotional position but he wouldn’t be able to get to any other planet at this point, their trajectory set for Tatooine already.
————————————————
Once in the mechanics bay Din made sure to inform Peli of the importance of keeping the ship sealed, for the girls sake. Peli understood immediately and assured Din she would keep an eye out for any suspicious activity or persons near the bay. Even going as far as powering up her “defense mechanism”, which seemed to be a de-programmed battle droid. It made him uneasy, but he also knew Peli and what she was capable of, and if she said the droid was safe, then he would have to believe her. Din then proceeded to exit the bay, on his way to the local merchant in the more populated districts of Mos Eisley to get much needed supplies and food rations.
With the knowledge that Din wouldn’t be with her the entire time, but instead would be leaving the mechanics bay to go do Maker knows what, her throat tightened as the anxiety set in. She understood that Din wasn’t her sole protector, that she could defend herself and that her own autonomy was her responsibility, no one else’s. But Din’s presence always made the feeling of confidence within her grow exponentially, covering her whole body in the warmth of reassurance.
Even though she knew Din had instructed Peli to keep the ship sealed, within only thirty minutes of mindlessly wandering the ship she was starting to go insane. The constant banging and loud sounds from outside the ship caused her to jump frequently. So much for easing my anxiety, she thought to herself, another loud CLANG came from outside the ship, but this sound was different. It was as if something had hit the ship, something much stronger than any hammer Peli had. She tensed, suddenly hearing distant yelling from beyond the metal confines of the ship.
“No, no, no,” she whispered quietly to herself, frantically beginning to search for any semblance of armor or a weapon when the main hull door opened with a hiss of air. Turning sheet white she froze, unable to think as she witnessed a form ascend into the hull of the ship. There’s dust billowing into the ship, as if it had been set loose from the ground by something high-impact, like a heavy artillery blaster shot. Slowly shrinking behind a corner wall in the hull, holding a blaster to her chest, she prepares for a firefight. But to her surprise she hears Peli call her name into the ship. As she emerges from around the corner, she sees a large, more anthropomorphic, droid standing in the hull next to Peli. Her hair was even more disheveled than normal, sticking in every direction and sizzling slightly.
“I didn’t mean to scare you, honey, but we need to go now,” Peli spoke, continuing to check the outside of the ship, as if waiting for someone to appear.
“What’s going on?” She asks, slowly moving towards Peli, very cautious of this unknown droid that was standing immobile in front of her. Its eyes glowed red and it stood perfectly still, as if waiting for instruction.
“I’m not sure, honestly. But I do know we’re being attacked, that’s why I brought out Big Red here,” she says gesturing to the towering droid. “It won’t hurt you, it’s a security protocol,” she says as the girl makes her way around the chunk of metal to the hull door.
“Now go get everything you can carry, we need to leave the mechanical bay entirely,” Peli instructed, she then turned to the droid and instructed it to man the entrances and to kill any unwanted visitors. She then began to help the other woman gather things from the ship, shoving as many weapons and gadgets into burlap sacks she had brought onto the ship.
“Not my first time having to evacuate a ship before,” Peli explained when the younger woman looked to the burlap bags with a questioning expression.
“Just grab everything you can, I don’t want to be here if those things come back,” Peli said. However as she finished her thought, blaster fire could be heard from outside the Razor Crest, meaning someone was trying to get back into the mechanics bay.
“Too late,” Peli mutters.
“How will we -,” she begins to ask Peli but instead of providing her an answer, Peli grabs her free hand and drags her to the back of the ship.
“There’s an evacuation hatch in the floor of this thing somewhere,” she said as she lifted a small mat on the floor, under it was a door. “There we go,” Peli exclaims with a smile.
“You go first,” she gestures to the young woman standing behind her.
After they successfully pushed through the small evacuation hatch, the two women slowly made their way to another emergency exit in the corner of the bay. Blaster fire still being heard from the entrance, the droid holding off the intruders for the time being. Peli quickly ushered herself and the other woman to safety, making their way to another bay of a friend of Peli’s.
“She’ll take care of us until Din returns and we can come up with a plan to get the Razor Crest back,” Peli explains as they descend into the shop of another ship mechanic.
It’s then that the ground explodes with movement, the stairs crack and crumble as both of the women lose their footing and fall over each other. The noise is deafening, an explosive rumble that physically shakes the concrete of the building, creating fisures in the walls and ceiling. As the intensity of the situation subsides the young woman opens her eyes to see rubble surrounding her and the older woman. Peli groans as she rolls over onto her stomach, working her way to her feet. She helps the other woman to her feet as they take in the scene around them. A massive plume of smoke has erupted into the sky from the direction they had just come from. With the realization beginning to sink in, both Peli and her gasp, the Razor Crest had just been bombed.
A shaking hand is placed over her mouth as another realization comes to her, she could've been in the ship, they both had just come so close to death.
————————————————
Din was conversing with an older bounty hunter, trying to locate his old boss, Greef Karga, in order to get work. As he began to buy supplies he realized how little money he actually had. The conversation is cut short by an earth-shattering noise, a low rumble followed that shook everything on the ground. Din’s head whipped in the direction of the noise and his eyes are met with the most horrific sight; a plume of smoke billowing from the mechanic bay she is in. Without another word to his fellow bounty hunter Din took off sprinting in the direction of his ship, and her. As he approached the scene, he was struck with anguish as he witnessed flames and smoke envelope the entire building, the ship buried under rubble. His mind was racing and without a second thought Din sealed his helmet and ran into the flames. Yelling, screaming her name, calling out for Peli, but no one answered. The flames began to eat away at the fabric of his flight suit and the seal on his helmet released without warning as the flames and heat ate through more of his clothes. He continued to call her name, his lungs beginning to fill with smoke as the fire grew hotter and spread faster. Digging through metal and concrete he couldn’t find any trace of her or Peli. He couldn’t breathe, he couldn’t think, his eyes stung as tears flooded from them.
Maker, please no, please I can’t lose her, Din thought as he tried to make his way out of the burning catastrophe that was Peli’s mechanic bay. His vision began to blur as the smoke seeped into his lungs, suffocating him from the inside out. He made it to what used to be the stairs that descended into the shop, but now were chunks of concrete stacked haphazardly upon each other. Dragging himself up the embankment of crumbled concrete he was able to make it to his feet and with every last piece of strength in his body he was able to walk out of the burning structure before the arch above the stairs collapsed in on itself.
“Mando!” He heard someone call, but he couldn’t lift his head from the sand to see who had called for him. He heard his title called again, this time it seemed closer than before, and through the fits of coughing he was experiencing he suddenly realized he knew that voice.
“Oh, Maker,” the person gasped above him, falling to their knees and beginning to pull him up onto their lap.
“Din, it’s me, I’m here. Okay? I’m right here,” she spoke calmly, but he could hear the quiver in her voice.
Through the smoke inhalation his mind couldn’t comprehend anything other than that he knew who was talking to him. It took him a moment to focus in on their face, and the second his vision became clearer he couldn’t breathe all over again. It was her, she was alive.
It was as if new life had been breathed into his limp body, but as he moved to sit up he felt the pain of the burns and his lungs began to give out again. Gripping onto her forearms to steady himself he relaxed back into her lap, breathing ragged as his adrenaline began to dissipate. She cradles his helm as she tried to keep him conscious. Turning to the older woman standing next to her, she instructs her to get a speeder car to transport them to Mos Espos. She knew of medical clinics with bacta tanks in the more populated parts of the biggest city on Tatooine.
Peli frantically ran for help as more people came out into the street to see what had happened. The speeder took little time to show up, faster than any officials of Mos Eisley (if there were any). She and Peli hoisted the beskar clad warrior onto the hunk of metal and set off across the sands of the barren planet. As they drove further away from Mos Eisley she and Peli took one last look back on the destruction that took place, tears in their eyes as they continued on towards safer territory.
———————————————
Once in Mos Espos it was as if solace had found them first in the form of a woman dressed in traditional assassins attire, and carrying a large blaster to match. Her face was striking, her eyes as dark as her hair, and she had an amused smile on her face as she approached the speeder car.
“This one just can’t stay away from near death experiences, can he?” She asks as she approaches the speeder, shaking her head as she observed the damage. She puts her hand out as if to shake, which the other young woman takes hesitantly.
“Fennec Shand, I know you don’t know me, but he does. If you’ll come with me I can get him the medical help he needs,” she explains, moving in to the speeder car next to her and the Mandalorian, Peli sitting in the back keeping ahold of their belongings from the ship. Looking skeptically at Fennec she doesn’t start the speeder immediately.
“He’s already in shock, do you want it to progress?” Fennec questions, and with that comment they were swerving through the streets of Mos Espos towards a location only Fennec knew, and so their future lies with her and the “medical” treatment she knew of.
—————————————————
Fennec Shand seemed to be telling the truth, having brought them to the most grand place in the city, the Daimo’s palace which was currently occupied by the Madalorian, Boba Fett. At their arrival, Din was quickly moved to the bacta tank within the palace. She and Peli were then escorted by Fennec herself to see the Daimo Boba Fett. But as they continued down the sand-dusted corridors of the palace, she couldn’t help but feel more exposed without Din’s presence.
“Is there any way we could put off introductions until tomorrow, when Din is well enough to vouch for both myself and Peli?” She asked of the skilled assassin leading the way in front of them. Fennec slowly turned, a suspicious look in her eye, but after a moment of thinking she softly nodded at the other two women. Fennec then turned the party around and led them back up the corridor they came, knowing that Boba Fett would be upset with the lack of respect. The young woman had only vaguely heard of Boba Fett, but knowing Din’s abilities as a Mandalorian, she could only imagine who this man must be.
After being led back into the main part of the palace, she requested of Shand that she and Peli be able to sleep there, which Fennec obliged without complaint. Setting up the cot next to the bacta tank she looked through the glass at the stripped down man before her. His helmet still adorned his head as well as shorts around his waist to preserve some amount of decency. Touching the glass where his head lay, she remembers how that metal of his helmet felt beneath her finger tips as she held him in her lap not even 6 hours prior. She missed the warmth of his skin more than ever, now looking at the warped surface of his arms, torso and lower parts of his legs, she wonders how long it will take to heal it all. She remembers hearing his cries of her name, the hoarse tone of his voice as the smoke clouded his throat. He sounded so lost, so hurt, like his whole world just ended. With the loss of the Razor Crest, in some sense a part of his world had ended. But what she didn’t know was in that moment he couldn't have cared less, if he had lost her, he would have lost himself completely.
"Please be okay," she whispers as she presses her lips to the glass, "and sleep well."

Unwanted intrusions
In which black tries to recall
(Tw: intrusive thoughts, self imposed amnesia, memory wiping)
If someone asked him to recall where it all started, they'd be met with silence.
Truth be told, even he couldn't quite pinpoint when it exactly started...
Only when it started getting bad.
They'd always been a part of them, but he was always able to differentiate them from his normal patters. They never influenced his actions. A small voice that he never paid any mind to, and wasn't much of a bother.
However, the voice that sounded just like him was beginning to get louder. More aggressive.
Him, white, and red had taken down some experiments gone awry in one of planet bombers' major cities.
The battle itself wasn't important. He could hardly remember it.
All he could focus on were the people.
Seeing them made him angry, furious even. Irrationally so.
He had no clue why.
He did his best to ignore it. He still held a bomb in his hand in case one of them retaliated.
Humans and bombers alike gathered around to congratulate and thank their heroes, black pushed artificial bile back.
Throw it!
He could see it all play out; the frozen shock as they processed what he'd done, the ensuing explosion, the chaos, the panic.
He nearly flinched.
With the echo of those two words came a twitch of the hand that held the bomb, a twitch of action.
He snapped himself out, clearly distressed. He withdrew from conversation for the rest of the day.
This voice really did sound like him, but it most definitely was not his own.
This one had a sinister edge to it, a craving of chaos and destruction that he didn't know the origin of.
That wasn't the one that started the nightmares.
The one that started it, had started with an argument with red.
The argument wasn't important, he couldn't even remember what they were arguing about.
While red shouted, all he could think about was how enraged he was at his little brother.
Do it!
Once again, a bolt of adrenaline and a twitch in his hand. A twitch of action.
He could see it play out; red reeling back from the strike cradling the area it hit, the shock and disbelief on his face...the fear.
Black got so lost that he didn't even notice Red had stopped talking and was getting uncomfortable under his gaze.
He watched black finally blink, 3 quick times as though coming out of hypnosis, and emotion finally crept back into his eyes.
It wasn't shock and confusion, it was fear and distress.
He left, just as suddenly as his eyes glassed over. He withdrew for the week.
There were many more examples, but this one started the nightmares.
He'd always had trouble sleeping, but sometimes, in his restless dreams, he'd take himself back to a time and place that he swore he should remember but just couldn't.
Key details would be missing. Any indication of the place he was in would he glossed over with generic detail.
The more he tried to remember these events from his dreams, the less he understood.
There was a blind spot in his head, an empty void where the answers should be.
Then there were the nightmares.
These ones felt much more visceral, more genuine.
Fights with his siblings, not arguments, but full-fledged battles that were real and deadly.
Causing destruction, chaos, all for one purpose.
To take revenge, to prove his supremacy.
He goes as far as to brainwash his own siblings against white... He never slept much after these.
The final straw was at the table, no one else just him, white, red, and blue.
"Where've you been all week? No one's seen you in days." White questioned
"I've been out...going outside, why don't you guys do the same." He said defensively
"You've been outside...for a whole week?" Red questioned.
"Of course not! If I'm not out then I'm in my room!" Black fired back.
The other 3 brothers looked amongst themselves, unconvinced.
"I don't know man, just feels like you're avoiding us." Red said matter-of-factly.
"If there's something wrong why don't you just tell us what it is? It'd make fixing it a whole lot easier." Blue yawned
"There is nothing wrong." Black replied flatly.
"And we're supposed to trust that?" Blue snorted.
Black gaze hardened, blue shifted slightly but didn't wilt.
"I'm just saying, we've heard that from you before." Blue eyes shifter around a bit.
Silence filled the air...black at first really didn't know their intentions.
"So...you gonna tell us about this little problem you've been having, crazy eyes?" Red stared intently
Bluffing!
For once, he'd hoped the voice was right.
"So much for subtly." Blue muttered
White turned to him.
"And just so we're clear, we have noticed... you don't think we've noticed, but we have."
Black's artificial blood ran cold. He steeled himself. He still had a chance to fool them...
Like it said, they could just be bluffing.
But he wasn't, white had noticed.
When blacks eyes went glossy, it was like they belonged to someone else entirely.
Like a different person was behind the eyes, not black.
At least, not this black.
"You're talking crazy." Black said dismissively.
"And sometimes, you look crazy." This froze black in his tracks, a confirmation that he'd so far deluded himself from believing.
They know!
"It's just weird...whenever we've seen that from you is when you start your little disappearing act." Red pressed.
White didn't much enjoy this approach, and with black it was very volatile. But he was running out of ideas.
There was risk involved, pressuring him had a 50/50 chance of making him cave, or making him more steadfast in his efforts to trick everyone.
Including himself.
His eyes fell on white as rage burned the same color as his big brother.
Fight! Don't let them know that you know!
A twitch in his whole arm this time, enough to cause his shoulder to jerk forward.
It played out like some kind of thriller movie. He could easily dispatch the other two weaklings until it was just the two of them.
He saw them doing battle, bombs being hurled like baseballs with no regard for their surroundings!
Battling it out for supremacy, he was finally able to take his revenge!
...
His...
Revenge...
Why did this feel so familiar to him?
White watched wide-eyed as it happened right before his eyes.
Blacks turned into a storm of rage, violence, spite and instinct.
He didn't look like black...
He looked like kuro.
Black flinched hard, but cleverly disguised it as him shifting to get out of his seat.
He left without another word, planning to withdraw for the month. He couldn't trust himself anymore, especially not around his siblings.
Red was throughly weirded out, but blue was eyeing white curiously.
"You know something, don't you?" For all of blues faults, he was really good at picking up cues. It was very off putting.
He looked away. He did, in fact, know something...
But he couldn't tell anyone.
He made a promise.

Gonna be making a follow up to this soon, sorry for not updating recently

I've got a little heartwarming one: you belong here. I've done a little digging on Chris Kent and I got this scenario: imagine if the zod's came to take earth and to an extension force Chris back on their side. Clark, Conner, Kara and Jon all fight back and tell the zod's that Chris is not going with them. Finally Chris remembers all the familial and fun times as a real family he had with the Kent's and tell's the zod's this: I'm not leaving my real family! Earth is my home, they are my family, this... This is.... This is where I belong!". A very likely scenario and a heartwarming one you agree?
Now THIS sounds like a climax for an entire year to two years long story arc throughout the Superman books, I love this XD
I very much and dearly agree with this one because this sounds like a very great culmination of Chris’ character development and helps solidify his status as a member of the Superfamily
More meaningful if say at this moment, he’s the one who delivers the knockout blows to Zod and is the one to successfully banish the Kryptonian villains back to the Phantom Zone
Though one thing I’d add is that for Falling Action to the arc, Chris would start to doubt his own words, probably due to Zod yelling ‘You’re born a Zod and this planet as a whole will not accept you’ or something around those lines as he’s sucked back to the Phantom Zone and also Chris looking back at all the destruction throughout the planet to which he feels he’s the cause of. Instead of immediately rushing into his family’s arms, Chris would surrounded by reporters from all over bombarding him with questions about his connection to Zod and if he had any part in what happened. This combined with his super hearing picking up on either average people reacting to him being Zod’s son and those hurt or suffering because of the destruction get too much and he flies off far away
The fallout issues have Chris try to find some solace and a place to get his thoughts together, most of them unsuccessful though he does do superheroing all throughout them. Eventually by an in universe amount of six days of being on the run and eventually the cells in his body drained out of solar/lunar energy so that his powers are dampening via exhaustion, Chris finally finds himself right outside the Grayson apartment, in the middle of a blustery and pouring rain storm in Bludhaven, his outfit mostly in tatters, any bruises and cuts he got not healing properly and shivering cold. He’s reluctant and ultimately shys off knocking on the door, but Dick’s son, Chris’ best friend Jake opens it for him anyways. It takes some convincing but ultimately Dick and Kory are able to take Chris inside and finally he’s able to settle in somewhere.
It’s the next day Clark, Lois, Kara, Conner and Jon arrive at the Grayson Apartment as well, though Chris was very shy to meet with them again. It took until 30 minutes after they arrived and cajoling from Mar’i and Jake that’s he finally steps out to see them.
He’s immediately hugged by Jon and just as immediately, Chris collapses into tears, being remorseful and guilty over what happened. It’s a long talk between him and the rest of Kents over what he feeling about the entire Zod situation and they in turn telling him their thoughts about him; born a Zod or not, he’s more or less welcome and accepted by them. He’s one of them, an honorary El and definitely a Kent. It eventually gets through to Chris though he has done lingering doubts given the experience. It’s not until Clark gives him some visual aid via the two of them flying to the moon together to get a good view of the Earth, the planet he tells Chris he belongs to.
Chris gives him a hug and Clark holds him close in turn
While Chris can still stand out from the rest of Supers by his own personality as a whole, his issues as a Zod are dealt…for the time being since there’s always that possibility of those issues coming back to his mind as it realistically can and therefore stories to tell with it

hi im the fischl x gundham anon!!
sorry i didn't see this blog before sending it in your other one aaaaa 😭
anyways, fischl and gundham meeting in novoselic because of sonia introducing them to each other and eventually falling in love 🥺
they also have an age gap wherein fischl is younger than gundham, but the love is still mutual obviously-
Of course! Sorry if it seems a bit OOC, I'm still a bit rusty on writing eccentric characters + Genshin Characters! - Mod Apathetic
General Fischl x Gundham Tanaka Headcanons
Fandoms: Danganronpa, Genshin Impact Ship: Fischl (Genshin Impact)/Gundham Tanaka (Danganronpa) Characters: Fischl (Genshin Impact), Gundham Tanaka (Danganronpa), Sonia Nevermind (Danganronpa) Tw: Age Gap Summery: General Headcanons for Fischl and Gundham Tanaka where they were introduced to each other by Sonia Nevermind
Sonia was very excited, she was finally introducing two of her friends to each other. She thought it would be a good idea cause they seemed to have similar interests, and both were probably equally as eccentric. It wasn't often she had time to introduce her friends to each other, and she could only hope that they would get along.
Besides, neither of them were really good at socializing with people, so she thought they'd understand each other better.
Upon their first meeting, Fischl was definitely nervous, Gundham looked intimidating, like a dark sorcerer, and the way he spoke only added fuel to the fire.
"Greetings young one, I assume you are the benevolent princess I was told about? The Dark Princess Sonia, has told me much about you."
Fischl had never met someone as eccentric as her, she wasn't sure what to say. She quickly bows, curtsying formally, like a real princess would.
"Good Evening, I am Princess Fischl, it is an honor to meet you. You are... The Supreme Overlord of Ice, yes?" She remembered Sonia saying something about that to her. It's what first sparked her interest in Gundham.
They seemed to hit it off great at first, Fischl could live out her roleplay without embarrassment or fear, and Gundham seemed to actively defend her from judgment, seeming really convinced by her act. In fact, Fischl could often find herself daydreaming about her and Gundham ruling the world together, dark and light, in perfect harmony.
And it seemed the Gundham had thought the same, and of course, it was in the most eccentric way possible.
"My benevolent princess, my Four Dark Divas of Destruction have alerted me that our harmony may be more than a simple alliance. I believe the universe had made us for each other." Fishcl couldn't help but notice how he stuttered while still trying to keep his act up, using his scarf to cover his face. "The universe as created us to bring true balance to the world, Your light will keep the darkness at bay, my darkness will scare people into the light. With you by my side, there may still be hope for this pitiful planet."
Fischl was hesitant, what he said may very well be true, but, she was far younger than him, she knew nobody would truly understand what they have, and as she expressed that to him, Gundham dismissed it. "The universe would never make two halves of a whole just to keep them apart," he said.
And with that, their fate was sealed, the light to his darkness, and the dark to her sunlight. And of course, Gundham insisted that they tell Sonia about their new relationship, "She had aided in drawing out shared fate".
Even with Fischl's hesitance, she agreed, surely Sonia would understand, and in fact, she did.
Little did they know, Sonia had predicted this outcome from the start!

hmm, okay wait re: the last post i reblogged. i definitely agree with the overall interpretation of aziraphale as wanting to not care and crowley caring too much, but i think it's a mistake to try to frame crowley's care and his morality as being the same thing, because they're not. crowley has a moral code, we see over and over that there are things that he won't do because he thinks they're wrong. but crowley's moral code is kind of fucked, and it's so easy to miss that in the book especially because crowley does not recognize this about himself so we're influenced by his own perception of himself (show crowley is in my opinion a little more self aware about it, but he's also got all his own other issues that complicate things, plus youre also left to interpret the façade that he puts on rather than having his internal dialogue). like the story makes it very clear that although crowley draws the line at murder, brutality, and torture, and that he's not particularly cruel, mean, or scary, he's also literally the most effective demon working on the planet. hastur and ligur were each out here talking about the one single person they've tempted, meanwhile crowley is deliberately making the lives of millions of people worse constantly. his technique is less precise, maybe less of a guarantee, but he's hitting so many people literally all the time that it doesn't even matter. he sets people up to be cruel and terrible and then he watches as those people go on to do things worse than he could ever dream of to each other, completely independent of him. he's only able to do that because he cares so much, because he is so invested in the projects that he takes on for himself. crowley is unable to do things in half measures, he throws himself fully into whatever he undertakes. when he's talking about his work on the m25 and bringing down cell service, we see how hard he's worked on them, how much planning and thought and effort he's put into it. there's a reason we hear so much about the demonic work crowley has done over the years and very little about the angelic work aziraphale does, and that's because crowley lives for his job in a way that aziraphale just does not. crowley can't not care, he's can't not do literally everything possible once he's become invested in something as long as it's within the bounds of his moral code. and honestly that's barely a problem for him because crowley's imaginative enough that his capacity for care and his morality rarely ever come into conflict! in that scene when he gives all the people at the staff training real guns, he's not allowing any of them to actually murder each other, but he's also still condemning them all to hell. and frankly the way he does it is extremely diabolical (and he only did that in the first place because he thought it was funny!! like come on!!). like i just feel it's kind of missing the point to not recognize the shades of grey to crowley. he's not just some entirely unwilling participant in the harm that he causes just because he thinks the total destruction of the known universe is really fucked up and also murder is bad. both him and aziraphale do good things and fucked up things and they do them on purpose! that's the whole point! neither of them is particularly evil or good, they're just people.

Reposted from mastodon, long post under the cut
OP posted by me. I guess it does look like I’m making a definitive statement:
Because I'm seeing Discourse on this, here's my take as a non-vegan who's interested in resilient food systems/lifestyles.
I just don't think it matters that much if you're vegan or not. In my limited understanding, it would be better if we As A Society consumed less meat/dairy/eggs/leather/etc produced by the industrial animal agriculture system and if you're able to swear it off completely I think that's great. But also it would be better if we consumed less plant products produced by the industrial plant agriculture system because it's also polluting and full of human rights abuses.
So in my view, it's as always, less about "what individual consumption choices should I make in the context of the global industrial capitalist system" but "what choices are available that make myself and my community more resilient in the face of that system"
When looking at how to fulfill one's needs and those of one's community in ways that are less dependent on fragile, destructive global supply chains, i.e. growing/foraging food hyperlocally, in many locales a more plant-heavy diet is likely going to be the most feasible and safest. In my view that's the main reason it's worth experimenting with reducing the amount of animal products you consume.
(Also I don't say this type of thing often but omg vegans it's literally hurting your cause to pretend meat and dairy and eggs aren't good. They're amazing and sometimes there really is no good substitute.)
(AND vegans (namely white vegans LBR) learn to cook challenge, you not knowing how to use seasoning, fats and oils, or just how to cook vegetables properly, is the reason non-vegans think vegan food is bad.)
Reply from some rando who doesn’t follow me:
I'll preface this by saying that everyone's diet is their own choice, and there are like a billion factors that go into it, most outside of any individual's control. I personally am vegetarian even though I think it would be better for me to be vegan, so I'm not one to make absolute statements about what people should or should not be eating.
There are definitely lib vegans out there who think their personal decision to not eat meat, ride a bike, and shop at whole foods is going to personally save the planet. But I really don't think vegans as a whole buy into that philosophy nowadays, it's mostly an image promoted by companies trying to sell vegan products (which my stance on is beyond the scope of this already too long reply)
A big part of the reality of the situation is the inherent inefficiency of using arable land to produce animal feed. You're right that plant agriculture has a lot of problems, but the best way to reduce those problems, is the reduce the amount of plant matter we grow for animal feed. Around 70-80% of the worlds soy crops are solely dedicated to animal feed. Most calories fed to animals are metabolized by the animal to keep itself alive, even comparing specifically protein intake to protein output has the same issues. This is also ignoring the costs of transporting animal feed to the animals themselves, water usage, waste byproducts from industrial farming, and other issues that I'm sure you're already aware of.
There are small scale farms and traditional hunting practices that either do not suffer from or heavily mitigate the vast majority of these issues, but it's not possible to produce enough meat from these to meet the current demand in the west (mostly America honestly).
I think hyperlocality and foraging is interesting and has a place, but is not specifically the solution for all areas. I think here you're again pointing to the land usage of agriculture as a major issue, and again I'd agree, but I'd also say the solution is reducing or eliminating the amount of crops grown for livestock.
As for the last 2 points, I rarely if ever see any vegans saying that animal products don't taste good, and there are also plenty of omnis who can't cook so this is a really weird point to make IMO.
My response:
Well first off, I'm working off the belief that it's not wrong in principle to kill and eat animals or use other parts of them. That's a whole other discussion but it's important to make this clear.
Nothing of what you said really contradicts what I said or believe. I should also be clear that I'm not trying to write a dissertation here and most of what I post on the internet tends to be just me brain-dumping and throwing shit at the wall and are not necessarily the totality of what I believe or meant to be a well-rounded argument.
I'm very aware of the high percentage of crops that goes into animal feed, and I think it's undeniable that as a whole it's imperative that overall meat consumption should be *reduced*, especially in places like the US. I also think if more people made personal choices to reduce their own consumption of animal products, it would be a lot easier to see that reduction on a nationwide scale.
I would say *a part of* the solution is reducing the amount of crops grown for livestock but I don't think we should expect that to be *the* solution, for one thing, the calories and nutrition people would have been getting from animal products will need to be replaced with an equivalent amount from plant sources.
This post is literally just about the debates I've been seeing about whether people, individually, should be vegan, and on that level, like I said, I just don't think this debate is worth having. If people like being vegan I think that's great and I love vegan food and I personally have been working on gradually transitioning over to more plant-based options. But as I said I think the main reason to do that is more for purposes of de-accustoming oneself from a lifestyle that's so dependent on global supply chains that as we've seen are incredibly fragile and also have complex and devastating impacts on the planet and people. I think for a lot of people, a more resilient lifestyle will necessarily be one that involves fewer animal products.
But if someone can't or just doesn't want to be vegan it's just not a huge deal and it doesn't mean they hate animals, and it's a waste of time to try to convert those people. I just think there are more interesting conversations to be had about our food systems.
The parentheticals are not part of my main point lol hence the parentheses, and they're mostly sarcastic, but I literally do see people downplaying the role meat and animal products play in people's livelihoods (and not just in food applications), and I've had a depressing number of horrible bland vegan stews and also a ton of amazing vegan dishes where the difference was literally spices and proper application of Maillard reactions, and it just makes me sad that someone might try something from the first category and think that's all vegan food is. It's not that deep.
Anyways.

organizations in SE
major organizations/groups in SE
Crimson Head Lanes
The new start-up criminal gang led by the infamous retired supervillain Carmine Keller. A bowling alley (Crimson Head Lanes) acting as a legitimate business front, they mostly deal in arms/drug trafficking, black market fencing, contract killing, general mercenary work, and counterfeit goods and services. They are usually considered “the middle men” or “the handymen” when it comes to their relationships with the surrounding community and larger criminal organizations of Necropolis. They are usually employed by the Terranovas.
Fontaine Industries
The world’s leading developer of energy weaponry and combat mechas, created and led by famed superscientist billionaire Maya Fontaine. Connected to multiple crime organizations, most notably Crimson Head Lanes.
The League
A guild, a former workers union, and now a semi-underground mass network of criminal organizations run by a litany of supervillains. Primarily allowed to exist by world governments because the organization somewhat ‘controls’ the severity of chaos its members tend to cause; it's generally acknowledged that if the League didn’t exist, crime would be much more widespread, destructive, and rampant. Big influencer in global politics and the economy. Main attraction of the League is its benefits that provide free healthcare and protection from law enforcement as well as other criminals for employees. The League is under the thumb of four different crime families: the Terranovas, the Slaughters, the O’Hara’s, and Antumbra.
The Promethean Society 🜂
An international coalition made up of the brightest minds of the new century, united in one goal: to help guide humanity to a better future. In recent decades however, an ideological schism has split this powerhouse of intellectualism into two, and it's only through sheer political will that the society remains together as it is now. The two ideologies that have broken out in this schism are “Faucherism (Humanz Rule)” and “Ortonism (Everyone Just Fucking Chill)”. Maintains the public face of being a non-political entity but it’s most likely worse than even the League.
ATLAS 🜃
A secret arm of the Promethean Society who answers only to the founder, Lupe Altena. Goal is seemingly the cooperation and survival of both Martians and humans, but otherwise members are left to their own dealings.
UHC (United Heroes Coalition)
A global organization of ‘superheroes’ directed by and belonging to the UN, as well as the Companies.
Administration of Mars 🜜
The ‘governing’ body of Mars, made up of those who took part in the killing and eating of the former King Aldebaran. The now so-called "rulers" of planet Earth.
CHARON
A shadowy syndicate of the remnants of the old US government that work as an independent intelligence agency.
Order of Antumbra
A not-so-underground guild of highly trained assassins, hitmen, and cleaners available for hire.
The Terranova Family
One of Necropolis’ most powerful crime families and the backbone of the US East Coast black market. Regularly employs the CHL.
The Slaughter Family
The Terranova Family’s embittered rivals in close association with Antumbra.
The O’Hara Family
A major drug trafficking organization on the US East Coast, in association with Joy Softwares.
Necropolis Police Department
Police department for the whole of Necropolis. Massively overfunded and overarmed, yet manage to be absolutely incompetant by every definition of the word. Fascist and corrupt, employed by the UN.
The Zoo
The Prison City, meant for imprisoning criminal chimeras and superpowered mutants. No one knows where it is. Once you’re taken here, you never leave, and you’re never heard from again.
Kuiper Corporations (aka ORCUS)
A multinational entertainment, media, and, more recently, space industry and satellite telecommunications conglomerate. Think retro-modern SpaceX-Disney, controlled (mostly) by Martians.
MoonGate + Joy Softwares (aka HYDRA)
A recent corporate team up between MoonGate, a rocket company, and Joy Softwares, an entertainment and electronic company, aiming to rival Kuiper Corps’ domination of the market.
Pfaff Corp
A German-Japanese Americana-inspired multinational fast food corporation. Monopolized food and profit off of nostalgic 1950s American fanaticism.
Sanguine Pharmaceuticals
A (and quite possibly THE only) major multinational pharmaceutical company. Owns your blood (and everything that comes with it).
AMAD (All Martians/Mutants Are Die)
An online far-right, mostly American and East Asian, political extremism movement that calls for the expulsion and even death of all alien life forms, including human mutants that resulted from the presence of G.A.
Croeseid
A mostly non-profit organization dedicated to peace and cooperation between all Bloodstocks, primarily with assisting young chimeras who are at higher risk of causing societal havoc.
Early Bird - “We Get the Worm!”
A public sanitation company dedicated to cleaning up extraterrestrial and extra-dimensional biohazards. Recently they have gone under a huge militarization campaign and are now the go-to organization for chimera ‘disposal’.

Animal Crossing Fish - Explained #196
Brought to you by a peeved marine biologist about to be a doomer on main...
CLICK HERE FOR THE AC FISH EXPLAINED MASTERPOST!
I literally just went over how it peeves tf out of me when people are like “oh, we can’t possibly be causing irreparable damage to the whole planet!” when, like, there is evidence everywhere we are. Well, anyway, of course someone had to piss me off in this exact way, and I’m going to use this series to spin my frustration to talk about something I find endlessly fascinating - the incredible link between life on Earth and the planet itself. I will use the humble Clam to talk about it, but make no mistake - filter feeding shellfish and humans are far from the only organisms that have had planetary effects! And so Tumblr doesn’t hide this very important tidbit I explain below, TL:DR
**IT’S THE RATE OF INCREASE IN CO2 THAT IS DRIVING THE CLIMATE CHANGE CRISIS.** Bivalves help slow it down.
Tumblr media
Pic from https://animalcrossing.fandom.com/wiki/Clam
The Clam appeared only in AC New Leaf when diving was first introduced. In ACNH, it became the manila clam bait mechanic (the Clam is called “asari” in New Leaf, which is another common name for the Manila clam). They are the same species, Ruditapes philippinarum, and since we covered the Manila Clam before, I won’t go too deeply into it. We have also covered bivalves so many times, but in case you forgot - Bivalvia is a Class of Mollusks that have two hard shells attached by a hinge, with a very soft body inside, the vast majority of which are filter feeders and burrow into the sediment around the world. They are also popular as food items, raised in aquaculture around the world, for which the Manila clam is a top, but sustainable, farmed species.

Bivalves are incredible animals that actually play key roles in the habitats they flourish in - many of them provide benthic structure that other animals and plants rely upon as habitat, they are a food source for many species, including humans, and, most importantly right now, they are one of the best at sequestering carbon. Let me explain:
By now, we know that climate change exists, it is happening, and the burning of fossil fuels by humans is the number one culprit (with other additional factors, also anthropogenic, aka human-caused). Burning coal, oil, gas, and wood, too, release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a known “greenhouse gas” - this means that the properties of CO2 enable it to trap heat easily. So, solar radiation (aka the sun’s light and energy) hitting the Earth is trapped in the atmosphere more readily the more CO2 is present (this is generally - water vapor and methane, for examples, are also greenhouse gases!) Now, this is not to be viewed as a bad thing on its own - atmospheric CO2 is an important part of why Earth is habitable. We have this great atmosphere that effectively shields us from the cold void of the rest of space. CO2 has risen and fallen many, many times throughout Earth’s history, often the catalyst for major shifts in the planet’s climate, followed by major shifts in biodiversity. CO2 is super important and a major player in making life possible - remember plants take in CO2 like we take in oxygen. So, CO2 itself isn’t the problem - it’s the rate at which the concentration of CO2 is rising in our atmosphere that’s the problem.
Let me say that again: IT’S THE RATE OF INCREASE IN CO2 THAT IS DRIVING THE CLIMATE CHANGE CRISIS.
And it is definitively from humans burning shit at an industrial scale, as well as stressing the environment’s ability to offset that carbon via biological means, like via overharvesting species, habitat destruction, etc. the list goes on. And yes, life on Earth has a HUGE role in managing the carbon cycle and therefore the climate. I mean, we’re made of carbon - plants take in CO2, we animals breathe it out, etc. - it’s a major component of life on Earth. If you go through ancient history, you can pick out where atmospheric CO2 rises, giving way to a very tropical climate that nurtures plants to the point they take in all of that CO2 and incorporate it into their tissues (sugars, etc.), which in turn ends up cooling the planet (over millions of years!). When a tree dies, unless it’s via forest fire, it takes most of the CO2 it absorbed with it, and eventually decays into the soil, often buried and kept out of the atmosphere (sequestration - literally yanking the CO2 out of the air, and burying it). This is what happened after the great forests of the Carboniferous Period some 340 million years ago died out. All of that carbon was stored away underground, and now humans are burning it as coal and oil. You can now think of the CO2 humans are pumping into the atmosphere as “extra CO2″ the Earth hasn’t accounted for in millions of years in the span of like, 200 years.
Tumblr media
Now, with the rate we’re going, the climate crisis ought to be WAY WORSE than it is right now, but planet Earth has more than one way to sequester carbon - it also sinks into the ocean in a number of ways. One of those ways is via bivalves! (I know, it took a bit to connect all of this, but I had to make sure you get it - if you don’t, PLEASE ASK ME.) The oceans, especially the surface, photic layers, are just as photosynthetically active as major forests and provide half of all the oxygen in the atmosphere. Phytoplankton bloom and grow very fast, multiplying rapidly and dying just as fast. As the base of the oceanic food web, these phytoplankton are eaten by zooplankton which are then consumed by a myriad of creatures that, ya know, poop and that poop sinks or is recycled back as nutrients for phytoplankton to use again. Some filter feeders, though, like bivalves, actively eat phytoplankton directly, straining them from the water at such a rate, that bivalves are a known carbon sequester, their poop very often becoming buried as soon as it’s made because bivalves hang out on the bottom or are already buried themselves. What you get from this and other carbon sequestering processes (such as forest growth, chemical ocean absorption, animal feeding and migrating or dying, etc.) is a crisis that’s been slowed. Of course, that doesn’t mean it’s not a problem - it just means we got more time to deal with the problem and decided to convince each other it wasn’t our fault. Meanwhile, more frequent forest fires and ocean acidification are eliminating our best carbon sequesters in an endless feedback loop.
The effects of “too much CO2, too fast” are not fully understood - atmospheric CO2 has never risen this fast before - so more science is always the answer while we try to get off that fossil fuel teet. However, we can easily predict that reduced ice and snow cover will translate to less clean, fresh water and rising sea levels; stronger tropical cyclones fueled by warm water equating to devastation and loss of life; new desertification hurting agriculture; heat waves and heat emergencies literally just killing people; decreases in biodiversity as plant and animal species fail to adapt fast enough; longer droughts fueling raging fires...all things that lead to water scarcity, food shortages, poverty, refugee crises, disease spread, death, and economic damage, all of which are stressors that drive desperate people to war over these dwindling resources, with poorer countries of course taking the brunt of this shit first and the most. No one is saying all life on Earth will cease to exist - life always finds a way; that isn’t the problem. The problem will be that the new climate patterns will be very harsh for humans. Will we survive? I don’t see why not, but it’s gonna suck.
Put that in your skillet and let it simmer...

" penacony was.. a mess, " calico shook her head, already getting a headache from the memory of the sleeping planet. " i'm just grateful i wasn't directly involved with anything. i mostly stuck by the side of one of my delegate colleagues while he helped one of the stonehearts. i had an interaction or two with miss sparkle, " she glanced at cinnamon through the corner of her eyes as she examined the overgrown vegetation growing everywhere. her tone revealed nothing about her relationships with any of the ipc members, still keeping her guard up somewhat. " quite the enthusiastic young woman, by the way. i just hope you don't share her penchant for causing mild disasters. "
she laughed after her sentence, as if punctuating it with a touch of humor, to make it sound less like a threat than it actually was. she couldn't help but raise a brow at cinnamon's illegal weapon, but couldn't stop herself from giggling a little bit. " such a huge hammer, easily bigger than your head. ah, if i were anyone else, you might be in some serious trouble. more than you probably are. " was that a hint of mischief in her voice ? she seemed to relax, as if shedding her professional persona just a little bit. it's not like the masked fool was going to judge her for not having a stick up her ass all of the time, anyways.
" either way ! i'm not the best with a weapon, but i can take a hit or two, trust me on that, " calico's ability to defend and protect someone in a battle was commendable, but her damage.. could use some work. " if you need someone to stand in front and take the hits while you stand behind and look pretty, i'm the person you need. family protects family, no ? you got my back, i got yours. "
finally done with the introductions, calico knew where the ipc had told her where to rendezvous with the clan leader of the planet, but she was unsure if her information was even accurate. regardless, that was the best place to start. " you see that tall building over there ? the one that kind of looks like an alien.. well, you can see it. " it was phallic. someone had to say it, but it wasn't going to be calico. " i was told to meet up with the world leaders in that building. i think it's the best place to get started. " (( oooo you so should !! ))
(Maybe I will hehehe)
“Such a shame, I’ve been dreaming of Penacony ever since I was old enough to dream…I’m going to marry somebody rich there one day,” Cinnamon chuckles, and it’s hard to tell if she’s making a joke or not.
“I am…familiar with Miss Sparkle’s philosophy regarding Elation. Honestly I think she’s got it all wrong…but the mutually assured destruction buttons are definitely a stroke of geniu-” Cinna cuts herself off, realizing she probably shouldn’t mention the two literal bombs that might be casually strolling around on Penacony to an IPC employee.
“Imagine how much trouble I’d be in all the time if I DIDN’T lug this thing around though,” Cinna counters, giving the hammer a twirl, though clearly the act requires some concentration, given how heavy the thing was.
“Ah, so you’re more of a shield than a sword…” Cinna comments. “Well I guess we’ll just have to make do. And tactical withdraws are a valuable strategy in their own right,” Cinna adds, imagining how funny it would be if the two of them did end up having to just run away from any encounters instead of fighting. “Out of all the IPC faculty I could’ve teamed up with…it couldn’t have been someone who could kill something quickly…” she sighs to herself. But still. She was good at playing the cards she was dealt with.
In most situations, Cinna would’ve lost her mind at the sight of the interestingly shaped building, but instead she took an uncharacteristic calming breath, reminding herself that this whole planet was ruined…she wasn’t some mindless follower of Destruction, she had SOME respect, she thinks to herself, pushing the story of Aha blowing up an entire planet And half the Astral Express to the back of her mind. That was Different. THAT was Funny, this is just sad.
“Well I did a scan of the city from my ship before I stepped foot on this miserable rock…” Cinna remarks. “Beyond what was obviously some form of wildlife…I didn’t pick up any heat signatures…if there are people waiting for us…they’re likely corpses at this point.”
“STILL,” she tries, being boundlessly optimistic. “I’m sure we’ll find SOMETHING, even if we have to dig through the pockets of the dead. And my scan doesn’t detect inorganic life forms, so…there could very well be a robot out there with the information you need for your report…or any information about what happened here, really…”
Cinna doesn’t hesitate to let Calico lead the way.
“I want to believe an expert like you has some sort of theory about what could have happened here? The damage seems so widespread…surely it couldn’t have been some sort of marauder gang raiding and abandoning cities…the damage is too extreme for that…maybe some sort of…natural disaster? Or…maybe even a manmade one?” Cinnamon tries, doing her best to sound intelligent.
