I hath returned, and with it I bring my favorite character I've ever made! Meet Celena! She's the main character of my original series "By The Moon's Light" She's a demigod, her father is human and her mother, through magic, is the goddess of the moon Artemis.

Her hair glows at night, the strength of the glow depends on the phases of the moon. If the moon is full her hair glows like a lamp, but it doesn't glow at all when the moon is gone. She's 14 and really just wants to make a friend, unfortunately being a demigod is pretty intimidating to mortals.

I drew this months ago, but never got around to posting lmao. I'll definitely be posting more characters from my series though.

What if there was no split personality but the same personality the whole time...? That’s the interpretation of Celena Schezar and Dilandau Albatou I take in my forthcoming fanfiction documenting this fascinating person’s life after the Escaflowne series. Other (highly talented) fanfiction writers have likewise tackled this sequel idea, but this is my perspective on it. In my story, Celena was always a transmasculine non binary person assigned female at birth. When captured by the Sorciers of Zaibach, they found the key to “unlocking” the youngster’s full potential was to alter their fate so it was if they had been assigned male at birth. 

These sketches show Celena after they’ve recovered from the initial shock of forced de-transition and is trying to fit into the restrictive feminine role expected by Asturian culture. They’re still the expert in pulling charmingly weird facial expressions. 

I think I show a lot of the great Riyoko Ikeda’s influence in these sketches! My version of Celena/Dilandau looks like Nobuteru Yuki’s original design hybridised with Gilbert Cocteau from Kaze to Ki no Uta (Keiko Takemiya) and Lady Oscar from Rose of Versailles.
