Surprising Him With Breakfast ~ Lee Dongmin

Your eyes looked up as Dongmin rushed around your bedroom, murmuring to himself about the things that he needed to do. He had overslept his alarm completely, and with his first day on a new show pending, things didn’t seem like they could get much worse for him.

As you watched him stumble into the bathroom, you knew that you couldn’t lay back and do nothing. Once the door shut, you got out of your bed, grabbing your phone from your bedside table and heading for the kitchen.

After searching up recipes online, looking for ones that would be guaranteed to give someone energy, you began getting utensils and equipment around the kitchen together to start cooking what you had found to make sure that Dongmin ate properly before heading to work.

You knew that he’d have no time for breakfast as he rushed around for work, deciding to take one thing off of his list of things to do and do it for yourself.

Dongmin was oblivious as he tided himself up upstairs, getting dressed and fixing his hair so that he could try and look presentable and not as if he had just rolled out of bed when he showed up to the building that the production for the drama was in.

It was only as he reached the top of the stairs to head back down that Dongmin began to get a hint of something up his nose. Intrigue got the better of him as he grabbed his bag from the bedroom before heading down to see what was going on.

His eyes lit up as Dongmin looked through to the kitchen, noticing your figure moving around the room through the crack in the door. He couldn’t have got there quick enough, smiling widely as he watched you cook over the oven.

“What’s going on here?”

“H-hey,” you stuttered, the sound of Dongmin’s voice making you jump as you looked around to see him opening up the door and leaning in the frame of it. “I thought you were still in the shower, when did you get out and dressed?”

You failed to get a response from Dongmin as his eyes looked around, noticing a plate and chopsticks set up on the dining table for two, eyes scanning further around the room to see several side dishes laid over the counter.

Some were full, some were empty, but all of them looked as if they were going to be delicious to Dongmin. As he walked further in, Dongmin noticed your phone lit up just beside you with a recipe on your screen that you kept checking.

“You made breakfast for us?” Dongmin smiled in surprise, wrapping his arm around your waist as soon as he was close enough for you, resting on your shoulder to see what you were cooking in the pan. “What made you do this?” He quizzed, pressing a kiss of excitement against your cheek as he watched you.

“You were in a rush,” you simply smiled in reply.

As Dongmin realised you had decided to take on breakfast in order to make life easier for him, his heart raced. He knew that it was something nice for you to do anyway, but especially so as he rushed around to get sorted after leaving everything last minute.

“You were a little flustered upstairs so I thought I’d come down and give you one less thing to worry about,” you added, “I should have everything done in ten minutes, so you’ll have enough time to eat before you have to go to work.”

“Thank you,” Dongmin whispered as he stepped back to give you some space, “I can’t even begin to tell you how much I needed something like this to be done for me this morning.”

To say he was touched would be an understatement, but you didn’t mind cooking for him at all. Your help was always offered to Dongmin, and as he overslept his alarm, you knew that it would be a good chance for you to do something nice for him.

“I’ve not seen you smile like that in a while,” you told him as you watched Dongmin take a seat at the dining table. “I hope you’re hungry, I’ve made plenty to get you through a long day of script readthroughs and dress rehearsals today.”

“I’m smiling because I’m happy,” Dongmin grinned back across to you, “I was in the shower thinking about how maybe I’d have to skip breakfast because I wouldn’t have time to cook, and then I come down and you do this for me.”

Your shoulders shrugged as you placed a couple of the side dishes now, “I always told you I’d cook for you one day, and it seems that today’s the day.”

As soon as the dishes touched the table, Dongmin picked up his chopsticks and began to dig in. The smells were delicious, a lot better than even you expected when you started some of the recipes, filling him up just as you had hoped they would.

“This is great,” Dongmin hummed between many mouthfuls.

Once everything was cooked, you sat down at the table and joined him, picking up what was left from many of the dishes. Dongmin had tried his best to finish many of them, eating up as quickly as he could, not only because he found the food so tasty, but also to get done quicker to be able to make up more of the time that he had missed.

“How was it?” You quizzed as Dongmin declared himself finished with a heavy smile, tapping his hands against his tummy which was most definitely full. His bright eyes looked to you as he spoke, letting you know exactly what he thought of things.

Having you cook for him was overwhelming enough for Dongmin, but having you cook so well, caring so much about making sure that he ate good food that would get him through the day was something else, which meant the world to him.

He felt pretty bad as he stood up, looking around at the mess that was in the kitchen, knowing that he simply didn’t have the time to be able to tidy any of it up.

“I promise that I will do something as incredible as this for you soon,” he told you as he walked around the table to press a kiss to the top of your head.

Your head shook in response to him, “you don’t have to do anything for me, I only cooked you breakfast, it’s not really a big deal anyway.”

“It is,” Dongmin instantly corrected you, stopping as he began to walk away from you. “I was in a mess this morning, but you doing this has just made life so much easier for me. If it wasn’t for you, breakfast wouldn’t have even been on my mind this morning, but it was, because you care.”

You cared more for Dongmin then many others realised, but those little gestures that went unnoticed by so many others were always picked up on by Dongmin when he was with you.

“I’m just glad that I could lift some of the weight that you were carrying around on your shoulders this morning,” you told him, standing up from your chair and following him towards the front door as he grabbed his shoes. “At least now I don’t have to worry about you at work because I know you’ve got a good breakfast in you.”

Dongmin flashed a smile back to you as he slid his shoes on, “I really can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate what you did this morning for me Y/N.”

“It’s alright, just use all that energy up on being amazing at work.”

“I promise that I will.”

You let out a sigh while placing the last plate on the rack, feigning exhaustion as you turned to look at your boyfriend, who is still carefully rinsing the remnants of soap off the sink. Even in the semi darkness that engulfs you two, you can distinguish his features enough to feel butterflies fly around your stomach at how beautiful he is.

“What?” Eunwoo asks, drying his hands on a raggedy pink towel, and squinting to see you. The candles around the kitchen are barely enough, but with the power out due the storm outside, you don’t have much of a choice.

“Nothing,” you reply, smiling softly at him. It’s been a very long day, but despite whatever happens through it, good or bad, your favorite thing is coming home to him. “I’m just tired.”

Eunwoo takes a deep breath, stretching his arms above his head and lifting his shirt in the process. “Me too, baby.”

You guess it’s around 10 pm, both your phones died before you even started eating dinner and you don’t want to strain your sight enough to look at the clock hanging from the opposite wall. You don’t really want to go to bed, but there isn’t much else you can do with the power out and your electronic devices dead, plus the lack of more candles. You told Eunwoo about a hundred times that you needed to buy more for emergencies like this, yet both of you forgot about it every time you went grocery shopping.

Eunwoo’s shadow covers the orange glow on your face as he stands in front of you, offering his hand.

You stare at him, questioning.

“I don’t want to go upstairs yet,” he says with a small shrug, one that turns into a little jump after a lightning strike illuminates his face silver.

“And you want to dance?” you chuckle with an eyeroll, but still you take his hand and let him press you against his body.

“It’s like that song you always listen to, the one about dancing in the refrigerator light.”

“You know that’s a break up song, right?”

Eunwoo lifts a shoulder again, one hand against your lower back while the other squeezes your fingers. “Good thing we’re never breaking up.”

You smile at him before he makes you turn, which you follow awkwardly until you’re back in place with your hand on his chest. “It seems a lot easier in the movies,”

“You just need to relax,” he whispers, swaying softly to the imaginary music.

You try your best to do as he says, mostly letting him take the lead as he spins you and sways you to whatever is playing in his head. The light breeze from your movements making the light dance around the room, casting shadows on your faces.

It isn’t long until you’re laughing, your moves getting more and more confident until you don’t know if Eunwoo is still leading you or it’s the other way around. But you’re having fun, you feel happiness bubble inside you, and love too, you love him so much you have no idea how you hold it inside you most of the time.

Your laughter gets drowned by his lips soon enough, you’ve stopped twirling and turning, and are standing in the middle of the kitchen, your fingers threading through Eunwoo’s hair while he squeezes your hips.

“I love you,” he whispers softly, his lips still against yours. “I love you so much.”

“I love you, too.” you say before your mouths melt in another kiss.

This is perfect. And you know you think everything is perfect when he’s around way too often for it to be true, but it is true. Things just seem to fall into place when it comes to Eunwoo and you, even the most simple ones.

This is what it feels like to have found your soulmate.

She auditioned at Cre.Ker Entertainment as a joke in 2015 with singing Adele’s Rolling in the Deep and dancing to BTS’ RUN, but was surprised when she was accepted.

Even before Produce 101, she’s always been a popular trainee— especially when her cover of Katy Perry’s Wide Awake went viral in 2014.

She has a Chihuahua named Miso that lives with her friend, the two adopted her in 2018 when they were roommates.

Her favorite idols have always been Lee Hyori, IU, SNSD, and Wonder Girls.

She is a huge Jujutsu Kaisen fan, fans have given her gifts from the show’s merch or handmade gifts.

Her Dark Moon character is named Lua, and she has the ability of invisibility and force-field manipulation.

In 2020, she left Cre.Ker Entertainment due to inconsistent promises on her debut and joined BigHit Entertainment (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon (though, just ‘a friend’ to the public’s knowledge) told her about how they were looking for female trainees for a co-ed survival show.

Her biological mother died in 2005, her brothers are all half-brothers and their mothers have either left or died.

She is not a PDA person at all, but she’s always sleeping with a teddy in her arms. (The boys do get jealous … of an inanimate object.)

She’s allergic to dogs and strawberries. Despite this, she still has a dog and eat strawberries.

Despite her closed off nature, not letting people in, she has a lot of idol friends.

Her hidden talent is that she can tie cherry stems into a knot with her tongue.

She is a brand ambassador for Gentle Monster and a global brand ambassador for Dior.

Old classmates of her have said she was well liked amongst staff and classmates alike, always willing to help with classwork and kind, encouraging words. She was also really easy to get along with.

She loves American artists like Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, and 5SOS. She has a wide variety of taste in music, she even likes a bit of country.

She’s been a fan of 5SOS since 2013.

She shares a birthday with Jake’s dog, Layla.

Her favorite features on herself are her eyes and lips.

She is close with RIIZE’s Seunghan, LE SSERAFIM’s Kazuha and Yunjin, ITZY members, (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon and Shuhua, THE BOYZ members, IVE’s Yujin and Wonyoung, and her former I.O.I. members.

Fans found old photos of Sora and RIIZE’s Seunghan when they were younger and connected the dots, fans even spotting Sora in a hat and mask at RIIZE’s debut showcase. She then later confirmed it on a WeVerse Live.

Along with the entire group’s manager, Wooseok, she has her own female manager, Hyosun, as the company thought would be best for her to have a woman she could go to and not any men.

She was on a swim team when she was younger.

She’s not easily scared by horror films, and enjoys them as long as they make her jump.

The members she talks to the most from I.O.I. are Somi, Doyeon, Yoojung, and Chungha.

She went to an international school as her father thought it’d be more beneficial for her future.

She made her acting debut in 2010 as Jung Somi in The Man From Nowhere, where won Best New Actress at the 2010 Korean Film Awards for her role. She also played Do Kyunghee, Cha Eunwoo’s character’s sister, in My Gangnam Beauty in 2018.

She loves spicy food but can only eat so much without something to drink.

She has a low alcohol tolerance, the members have to watch her when she’s drinking.

The members compare her to a cat, similar to Jungwon, with how she denies affection and then craves it.

It’s easy to be her friend, but it’s hard to get her to open up.

She finds it funny with how much she has to say an English word in a Korean accent for the others to understand sometimes. She finds it even funnier with Jake’s accent.

She chose Sunoo and Jungwon as the cutest members.

With Engenes, she finds their reaction when she flirts with them funny, but she also loves seeing their reactions when she ‘rejects’ someone (i.e. affection, fans asking her out, etc.) so she picks and choose how she responds to certain things.

After I.O.I. but before ENHYPEN, she had a YouTube channel named Sorabae where she posted make-up videos but the channel has been inactive since 2019.

She can play the piano, but hardly ever plays anymore.

Her persona in front of fans and her actual persona were very different for a while after debut. She didn’t know how to act in front of fans, especially after debuting as the only girl. She slowly started to get more comfortable around fans in the beginning of 2022.

For the majority of her career, including I.O.I., she had a ‘Golden Girl’ image until she gradually changed and allowed herself to let go of things. ENHYPEN have hinted towards this, saying how much she’s opened up to them and more comfortable. She’s also often said how she’s no longer the same girl.

She likes teasing fans more than feeding into delusions, flirting with them and taking it back with a joking snarky comment or saying a comment that had a double meaning and acting as if she had no idea what she said really meant.

She has a small appetite and always ends up giving the rest of her meals to her members.

Her favorite drink is a mocha frappuccino.

Out of everyone, she probably keeps most of her personal life to herself from the fans.

Her favorite dessert is cheesecake.

She prefers fall weather over the summer.

Along with Jay, she cooks the most in the dorm which she doesn’t mind.

She hates waking up early, but she does it to make sure everyone eats.

In an old middle school picture of her on a field trip, Sunoo is seen photobombing behind her with a peace sign.

She knew Heeseung, Jay, and Jungwon before debut as they were all trainees under BigHit.

She was best friends with a fellow trainee and contestant on I-Land, Lim Chaeyeon. The two were both expected to debut in the final line-up until Chaeyeon was eliminated in the last episode, leaving Sora (and Iseul before she left) the only girl(s) in ENHYPEN. This has started rumors of I-Land being rigged, especially with how seemingly neither girls talk anymore.

Both of her upper and lower lobes and her antitragus are pierced, as well as her left industrial and right helix. She plans on getting her right industrial done when her first is finished healing in a few months. She also wants to get her belly button pierced.

If she wasn’t an idol, she’d probably have a career in the medical field.

A/N— soooo i know and they were roommates is unfinished but ive got crippling adhd so im gonna post one of my good ole nameless smutty oneshots. pls keep in my mind, the entire time i was righting this, i imagined cha eunwoo….

The rain beat down on the hood and windshield of the bass-laden car. You could barely hear your thought over the revving of the — frankly annoying — sports car you’d angrily nestled yourself into five minutes prior.

His hand gripped the wheel like it was his lifeline and his jaw was clenched into a tight square. In a different situation, your hands would be roaming with how, for lack of better words, hot he looked. But tonight wouldn’t be one of those nights.

Not when he’d caused such a big scene at a party he’d dragged you to. You’d been perfectly content, wrapped in your Hogwarts fuzzy blanket on the couch, watching reruns of The Office.

It’d been him showing up to your house clad in cracked leather and tight fitting jeans that had you jumping into the first clubbing dress you could find in your mess of a closet and plopping happily into the passenger seat of his car.

Neither of you, however, foresaw the amount of alcohol you’d drink or the way you sought comfort from the first pair of arms that’d wrapped themselves around you. In hindsight, you really did fuck up, but his reaction wasn’t nearly as necessary as he thought it to be. He’d angrily bulldozed his way through the crowd to get to you, snatching your arm into an aggressive hold and seething equally as raged into your ear.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” It was harsh and bitter coming from a mouth that only ever whispers sweet nothings to you in such close proximity. Probably coaxing you off the edge while you were wrapped so delicately in his sheets.

“Having fun. Could you loosen your fucking grip, dude?” His eyes widened and rage was more present than ever.

“Fun? You call this… this slutty behavior, fun? Get a fucking grip. We’re leaving.” And then he was dragging you out of the superficially large home and gently shoving you in the direction of the car.

All of this, leading to the present moment, both of you silently heated on your respective ends of the car. The silence on his end was what was making you upset the most and it didn’t take long for you to make a passive aggressive statement as a silent ploy to get him to say something.

“What a fucking joke.” It was all you could muster when you could quite literally feel the heat emanating off of him. It was uniquely you, though. You’d credit that to the wits of your mother.

He intakes a sharp breath and tightens his hands even tighter around the wheel. With the open silence you’d figured he’d ignore the quip and had another half-assed quip on the tip of your tongue when the car suddenly swerved off the road to the right and jerked to a hard stop.

He turned to you and his anger was more visible now. His face was a dark shade of red and his lips were pulled up into a snarl over his straight, gleaming teeth. All of it brought to a sinister package tied off with a scary bow by his dark eyebrows, furrowed under the fringe of his hair that’d slowly started to grow in wavy strands and now covered the majority of his eyes— which were squinted mockingly.

“‘A fucking joke’? That's all you have to say about the shit you pulled tonight? You want a fucking reaction? You got one.” And in an instant, his long, slender fingers are wrapped around the base of your neck all the way around to the nape. He jerked you forward until you were nose to nose and you could feel the harsh breath blow against the top of your lip. He smelled of liquor and his normal warm, earthy, wood smell that’d you grown to love so much.

You weren’t the only one intune with your lover. He could feel the subtle hitch in your breath and the way your pulse thrummed aggressively under his fingers. He watches as your eyes flutter close before blinking open and meeting his gaze head on. Your eyes were soft and you slowly went slack in his hold. He’s gotten you right where he wants you and his lips curl up into a cheshire grin at the thought.

His lips skimmed over yours as he spoke his next words.

“You belong to me. You want to go flaunting what you have between your legs like some bitch in heat, but you’re mine,” He watched as your eyes closed again and you let out the softest whimper he’d ever heard from you.

“Do you understand me?” He squeezes again and watches the way your eyelids flutter when your eyes roll back. When he doesn’t receive a response, he playfully nips at your bottom lip, licking his tongue across the bite apologetically when you moan.

“I said, do you understand me?” You hum in agreement and jerk forward a bit in his grasp, chasing after his lips.

Unfortunately for you, that wasn’t the response he was looking for, and just when you were sinking into the feeling of completely drowning in him, he pulled away completely, and you feel the rumbling of the car purring to life, once again.

“I guess you forgot how to use your words.” His condescending draw sends shockwaves through your body, bringing you back to the present moment while simultaneously making you aware of the way you kept throwing yourself at him like you weren’t just purposefully trying to piss him off fifteen minutes prior. But the steady heartbeat between your legs and the aching need to hand yourself over to him and let him do as he pleases with you was too much for even someone as prideful as you to bare.

So before he shifts the gear stick, you grasp his wrist in a solid grip and you mumble exactly what he wanted to hear. “I understand…” He smirks, turns the key in the ignition before snatching it out and sending you a sideways glance.

He reached his hand on the side of his seat and watched as your face morphed from confusion to pure desire as he reclined his seat and lowered it.

“I didn’t hear you, pretty girl. Wanna repeat that for me?” He moved his hand from under yours and used the leverage of your lowered guard to manhandle you across the center console and into his lap.

You stable yourself with your hands on his chest, but your focus was completely on the way his mouth twisted and curved with every word he spoke.

“I understand.” He prides himself in the fucked out look on your face and he hadn’t so much as glanced at the pussy he’s so rightfully claimed as his.

“Good girl. Always so good for me, yeah? With the exception of tonight of course,” He laces his fingers in between yours and lands them gently in his lap as he regards you with a fake look of thoughtfulness. He pulls a faux look of sudden genius before he plasters on the fakest sweet smile he had in him. “I think you owe me an apology, beautiful.”

You nod dumbly at him, waiting for him to give his first command of the night. In the state you were in, you’d be willing to jump if he asked the only question you’d pose is ‘how high’.

Cha Eun Woo posted this for Moonbin's birthday and you should definitely go watch it and show it appreciation and love. I listen to A LOT of music, and it's rare to hear the emotions being expressed like this. Artists, performers, they're kind of trained or taught how to infuse emotion into their performances, to help pass that emotion onto the audience, it's part of what makes music a collective and universal experience. One that transcends language barriers and geo-political boundaries. And I thought that maybe the love and affection and grief that I was feeling was Eun Woo, until I remembered what day it is. For me personally I am in the about 2 week in between of my my parents deaths. The passed almost 3 years apart, separated by 10-ish days, and I forget sometimes, but my body, my heart, they remember, and so I'm pretty certain that the impact this performance had on me is directly related to my own mental/emotional state in this moment. But it is still a truly beautiful and fitting tribute to someone like Moonbin. I knew of him only peripherally really prior to his death, but it became incredibly clear by the reactions of fans, of other idols in the industry, that he was clearly a shining light of a person. To MJ, JinJin, Cha Eunwoo, Sanha, and Rocky (if you ever happen to see this) I'm so sorry for this loss you've endured. It just absolutely fucking sucks. As someone who's experienced with grief not enough people just say that openly, but it fucking sucks.

A soft smile formed on Dongmin’s face as he walked out of his room, quietening down straight away as he looked to the sofa in the middle of the dorm. It had been a while since he’d seen you, but at last you were back.

“They’ve not moved for ages,” Minhyuk remarked as he too walked out of his room and noticed Dongmin looking at you.

Dongmin’s smile turned up even more as he listened, “poor Y/N must be knackered from travelling.”

Minhyuk nodded in agreement with Dongmin as they both sat on the sofa opposite to the two of you. “Usually I want to do something to annoy them, but they look too settled for me to want to do that today.”

“You just feel sorry for Y/N’s jetlag, that’s all.”

“If it was just Myungjun asleep right now I’d have a cold glass of water over him in a flash,” Minhyuk proudly admitted, bringing another laugh out of Dongmin. “But, seeing as it’s Y/N the water can save for another day.”

“Shall we give the two of them some space?”

“They’ve got the space of a whole sofa,” Minhyuk scoffed, “as much as I love Y/N, she’s still a guest in our dorm Dongmin.”

“Don’t let Myungjun hear you say that.”

A groan came from Sanha as he walked off the set, greeted straight away by the sight of Jinwoo sat in one of the chairs, you positioned in his lap with your eyes tightly shut, Jinwoo snoring lightly just beside you.

A sympathetic laugh came from Moonbin as he studied the tight hold that Jinwoo had around you. “You know what the two of them are like, once they start cuddling it’s inevitable that they’ll just fall asleep.”

“Can’t they just save it for the dorm?”

“It seems not,” Moonbin couldn’t help but laugh, throwing his hand against Sanha’s shoulder. “If it means that he performs better on set then that’s all that we’ve got to worry about, and it’s keeping him quiet.”

“But it’s making me want to be sick, Bin.”

“Don’t be dramatic,” Moonbin jokingly scolded, “this could be you one day if you eventually get yourself a girlfriend.”

“I’d never be as bad as these two.”

Cha Eunwoo:

A loud laugh escaped from Minhyuk as he answered his phone, quickly calling the rest of the boys over. He zoomed in on the photo that he had been sent so that everyone could see what it was that he had found.

“Is that Dongmin? And Y/N?” Jinwoo laughed as he peered over Dongmin’s shoulder, “how did you get your hands on that?”

A shrug of the shoulders came from Dongmin, “I got sent it by a friend who’s working on his drama.”

The boys broke out into a fit of chuckles as they all made sure to get a good look at the photo. “Make sure that you keep a hold of that Min, you never quite know when we might be able to use that against him.”

“Are you blackmailing him with it?”

“Perhaps,” Moonbin proudly smiled in response to Jinwoo’s question, “just imagine his face when we ask him to do something and one day show him that photo of their cuddle when he tells us he’s not doing it.”

“That does sound like something fun for us.”

“See, it’s perfect,” Moonbin chuckled to himself. “Minhyuk, make sure you keep that photo, we’ll get some good use from that.”

“It’s already there in my camera roll.”

Moonbin:

An appreciative smile formed on Myungjun’s face as he was handed the keycard for your hotel room. He called out your names only to be met by silence, finally walking into the room to find you both on the bed.

“Did you find them? Are they alive?” Sanha joked as he caught up to Myungjun, only to find you both fast asleep too.

Myungjun nodded as he pointed in your direction, “I think jetlag caught up with some people.”

A roll of the eyes came from Sanha as Dongmin appeared just behind his shoulder. “They’ll kill us if we wake them up now, maybe we could save them something for dinner or bring some bits up to the room for them.”

“Moonbin does love his food.”

“He loves Y/N much more than food though,” Myungjun reminded Sanha as he spoke, “I think he’d be much angrier if we woke him up from a cuddle with Y/N, we all know just how much he loves one of those.”

“Do you think he’ll mind eating a cold dinner?”

“If he gets a cuddle from Y/N out of it, I think he’ll be alright,” Dongmin chuckled as once again Sanha asked the question.

“Let’s not let our dinner get cold too then.”

Rocky:

A snigger came from Jinwoo as he came back out from the dressing room, holding his hand up and stopping the rest of the boys from walking in. They were far from impressed as they searched for rest after their rehearsal.

“We’re not allowed in here,” Jinwoo tried his best to tell them all, “it looks like Y/N and Minhyuk are fast asleep.”

Moonbin stepped forwards, only to be pushed back again. “I said we can’t go in and disturb them.”

Sanha stepped forwards too just beside Moonbin, “where are we supposed to sit if we can’t even go in our own dressing room? We have to sit out in the corridor because those two might look slightly cute.

“Take a look for yourself.”

“I’ll do just that,” Moonbin retorted, nudging past Jinwoo to be able to look at the two of you, only to stop as he found you both. “Oh,” he stuttered as he looked at you both, “I guess they do look pretty cute after all.”

“See, let’s just give them a few minutes to rest.”

“A few minutes is all they’re getting,” Moonbin told the rest of the boys, “they might be cute but they’re not that cute just yet.”

“I knew we’d be able to convince you.”

Sanha:

The boys were quickly shushed by Dongmin as they made their way into the dorm, only to find you and Sanha laid out across the sofa with his arms holding onto you, making sure that you didn’t roll and fall.

“That’s our sofa,” Myungjun complained in a hushed whisper, “we go for ten minutes and they steal out spots.”

Several shakes of the head came from the boys, “we can’t move them, they look so comfortable.”

Moonbin was the first to step towards you both, leaning over the sofa as he spotted the faint smiles that were on both of your faces. “Look at how adorable they are, it’s like they purposely try to make us jealous.”

“They don’t do that.”

“I bet they planned this,” Myungjun agreed, trying his best to control the volume of his voice. “They probably wanted us to find them so that we’d all be reminded of how single we are compared to the two of them.”

“Or, they could just be really tired right now.”

“Don’t excuse this,” Myungjun warned Minhyuk as he offered a more reasonable possibility, “we can’t let them get away with this.”

“They’re not even doing anything wrong.”

Inspired by Yeosang's Universe TMT quiz answer that he would rather have ATINY look at another idol than catch them going to another idol's concert.

It was a cozy night in with your boyfriend over. Given Yeosang's fame as a member of ATEEZ, most of your dates were quiet evenings at your place or his and tonight was no exception. After the takeout meal he had arrived with was demolished, you ended up cuddled on the couch watching television together. Revisiting a favorite series on Netflix, you had brought up the first episode of Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung to introduce Yeosang to the series.

You thought he was getting into the show the way he was watching so intently but you were missing the way your devoted partner kept a close eye on your reaction every time the character Prince Dowon showed up on the screen. Finally he could keep it in no longer and paused the video. “That actor is Cha Eunwoo. I recognize him from the group Astro.”

“You are right,” you agreed. “I really like him....”

Yeosang cut you off with a snort. “So you have a thing for the visual in each group? He is taller than me and a model too.” His tone was taunting, but the slump of his shoulders hinted that an insecurity was exposed.

“Are you jealous?” Turning on the couch to face him, you caressed his cheek gently. “As I was saying, I really like him paired with Shin Se-kyung as Goo Hae-ryung. They make a great couple. Seeing them on screen makes me think of us and how much I love you.”

He visibly relaxed, but still looked stressed. “You are not just waiting to move on to him if you get the chance?”

You drew back in shock. “Yeosang, I could never. There is nobody for me but you.” He seemed to recover further until you made an addition. “Sure Eunwoo is handsome, and I like to look at him, but that is all. Okay, maybe I'd also go see Astro in concert.”

Yeosang pretended to be scandalized. “Not only do I expect loyalty as my partner, but as an ATINY as well.”

Wrapping your arms around him you bestowed a deep kiss then drew back. “As a couple we are exclusive, Yeosang, but as a music listener I can make no promises. ATEEZ will always be my ultimate group, but my heart has room for many musicians. You have seen my album collection after all.”

As someone who benefited from the occasional raiding of your extensive music library, Yeosang agreed it was okay to love many groups. Settling back into the cushions once more, you leaned against each other and resumed the series, liking it so much he binged three episodes before falling asleep snuggled into your side. Multiple dates went on like this until sighing together at the expected happy ending for the lovers in the story.

Such frequent time in close contact on the couch had been good to build up a reserve of loving touch to get you through time apart once Yeosang was on tour with ATEEZ. While the video calls and messages left on your phone were meaningful, you still needed ways to distract yourself from missing your adored boyfriend.

The best idea you came upon was to go to an Astro concert. Originally you had hoped to go with Yeosang when your boyfriend was back from overseas tomorrow, but that date was sold out before you could get tickets. While tonight's entertainment had been fun, it was not as enjoyable without your partner there at your side.

Show now over, you sauntered to the bus stop humming your favorite tune from the evening. Your way was lit by the white light stick with vivid purple star declaring yourself an Astro fan. You held it aloft, swaying, as you relived highlights of the performance.

“Hey ATINY,” you heard a very familiar voice call out. Looking up, you saw Yeosang lowering the backseat passenger window as one of the KQ Entertainment sedans drove by and your face broke out in the largest grin. Opening the door, he pulled you into the vehicle.

Surprised by Yeosang's presence when he was not due home yet, you kissed him all over after being apart for so long. Once he could get a moment to breathe, he revealed that he caught an earlier flight home because he missed you so much. “I just left the airport headed to the dorm and we passed by the concert hall lit up for Astro. To see my own beloved partner walking down the street waving that group's light stick while I am supposedly still out of the country was hard to take.”

Professional as he was most of the time, the manager at the wheel was still heard to laugh as Yeosang mock berated you for going to see a concert that was not ATEEZ.

“It was one thing to have you looking at Eunwoo on screen, that I could endure. But to go to see him live on stage? Cheating on me like that is unforgivable!”

The way you laughed in return let Yeosang know you understood he was only joking. A truly jealous and controlling partner would have been ditched by you in an instant. Instead you both recognized his reaction for what it really was. Envy. Yeosang would have liked being at the concert too if he had been available. Even with his own tour stories to tell, he listened politely as you excitedly recounted everything you enjoyed about the show you had been caught headed home from.

“Sounds like you liked it a lot. Does that mean you wouldn't mind going again tomorrow night as my date?” Your look of joy gave Yeosang the answer he was hoping for. “You have sacrificed a lot for my fame and while I know you enjoy our evenings at my dorm or your place, I wanted to take you out on a real date and that's why I came back on the night flight instead of with the rest of the guys tomorrow. We have dinner reserved at that nice place you have been wanting to try, then front row seats for the second day of Astro's performance.”

This was one of the many reasons you adored Yeosang. There was so much to him beyond a stunning face and witty commentary. He listened to what you liked and remembered that information to put it to use making you happy. That thoughtfulness went a long way with you because it was your love language too.

The next night as you sat side by side, you took note Yeosang knew all the fanchants by heart. After the fantastic meal he had gifted you the latest version of the Astro light stick so tonight he borrowed your older model and you bobbed them in time to the music. Yeosang was not even bothered when Eunwoo himself blew a kiss in your direction from the stage, especially not when you reacted by squeezing his own hand tighter, landing a kiss to Yeosang's cheek, and thanking him yet again for such a perfectly planned date with the only man you loved.

it goes to show that when jungkook puts his mind to something he’ll get it done. you’re not sure if you’re the cause of his sudden change but whatever it is, you hope it remains.

“are you excited for your soccer game tomorrow?” you randomly ask after remembering that jungkook said he was at practice. “i can’t wait to see you and eunwoo play together. you guys are gonna do so good”

He gives you a small glare, “you’ll see me win yn.” he doesn’t even want you to say eunwoo’s name in front of him. He gets so fucking jealous.

And his jealousy can be really toxic. But he doesn’t want to insult you or break your heart because he wants to win it. “you better be cheering for me tomorrow.” He whispers into your ear, his breath tickling over your neck. “Be my good luck charm.” He says, smirking.

You’re breathing hard because he’s got you all nervous, Jungkook Is so happy that he’s able to pull out these reactions from you.

And just like that, you both talk for a while and eat some sweet treats before you head home. He’s a little sad to let you go but of course he’s excited for the match tomorrow.

Jungkooks gonna win. He has to.

His jersey is red, with his birth year printed on the back, and he’s already walking into the ground along with the team, but he’s immediately looking for you over to the bleachers, Jungkook practiced all night.. he has to win today.

But he is a little disappointed when he doesn’t see you sitting there already, but soojin is excitedly waving over to him, he smiles halfway but soon he’s focusing back to the ground.

Eunwoo with his team is right infront of him and after they all stand in a line, The call for the toss is made. Jungkook watches as his captain and Cha Eunwoo walk over to each other, and they’re standing, almost face-to-face, shaking each other’s hands before the captain of the team is calling for the toss.

Flipping the coin and jungkooks glaring at his rival for standing tall, all confident and calm.

His captain better win the toss.

“Heads or tails?” He calls out before jungwon, Jungkooks captain, calls for heads, and the crowd has already started to scream as the coin goes up in the air.

All of the players watch in anticipation, and Jungkook prays in his head that they get to initiate the game first.

And the crowd goes dead silent as the captain captures the coin in his hands, he’s growing so impatient as he waits for the announcement.

“ITS HEADS.” And jungkook almost screams.

“Who’s going to get the first kickoff?” Eunwoo asks, and Jungkook impatiently replies, whispering to himself “us us us!”

“Us.”

The goalkeeper is selected and Jungkook will be doing the kick off, so he’s already getting into position as he sets his eyes onto the ball.

And the game has officially started.

Island Part 1 Live Blogging

I didn't watch anything last week because of being overwhelmed and busy for the past 10 or so days but finally I'm ready to once again start a new show when I should be studying.

My main reason for watching this is really just Cha Eunwoo because I miss seeing his face. People seem to really like his character and say his acting improved so I'm even more excited. I wanted to start Korean sff shows anyway so might as well start here even though I got spoiled for a biiiiig thing that happens at the end of S2 and also people's reactions have been like good but not great.

Ep 1 (Mar 14)

oh the bulter mans is Miho's protector

the slug things are so fucking disgusting

these action scenes are so boring because they go on for too long, I don't care enough about Miho, it's only ep 2 so I know she's not gonna die or really get hurt, and the immortal guy is gonna come save her each time like bro move on why are the action and chase scenes so long

yknow I find Miho endearing when she's praying to God, Buddha and being nervous to go to sleep and her nervous mannerisms when the man in the dark comes to her room and I think it reminds me of Saras played by Ae in PS I Hate You

actually she's endearing when she's trying to get Van to sign the contract

damn is Van the one who killed Miho in her past life

also pretty meh for me, I don't care about the action, but I'm glad to see a bit more of Eunwoo and also I'm starting to be endeared by Mino

why the fuck is there a domestic abuse plotline fucking hell It's like I gotta either watch women being terrorized by men or turn to watch BL where they also sometimes treat women as evil caricatures like I can't

fucking hell and blackmailing her with her nsfw photos too I actually am so fucking annoyed why can't I fucking watch just a fantasy show

This ep finally picked up. I'm glad we get our characters around each other now and some interesting things have started to happen beyond just "oh monster chases Miho and Van saves her." Most of all, I love Johan being daring and cheeky and beautiful and fun and eager.

Not a super big fan of female suffering due to an abusive boyfriend and threats of nudes/nsfw photos being leaked though like I wish it was just something else.

3 eps in a day oof

Ep 4 (Mar 15)

oh was the light-haired guy the other half-demon from the old days

omg the big devil tree-looking monster being maneuvered by Lee Suryeon

I know it's supposed to be funny that Johan was choking while Miho and Van were arguing but :) I dislike such incompetency and callousness for the sake of humour like first of all Johan was trying to help Miho, second of all we're supposed to think Van doesn't gaf but it's not like we're supposed to think Miho is like that too considering she's trying to convince Van to save Suryeon - so it's annoying that she has no worries about Johan

It's so fucking boring that we're on episode 4, both Van and Johan get to do cool action things and even if Johan gets caught, he can hold his ground for a bit with his cool sword, while Miho has yet to even improve in her hiding/escaping/running away techniques despite already being good at fighting and training. If she was at least able to get through to Suryeon with kindness or whatever, that'd be like something but she can't do that either and yells for Van constantly like okay I'm bored

well okay at least she got to speak to Suryeon and I guess some fucking light inside her made the Benjulle disappear

Ah Johan is so irritating when dealing with Van, ah so endearing

oh van calling upon Benjulle again for Suryeon's revenge

heh Van and the Gramma testing each other are so cute

did Johan leave the shrimp croquettes for Miho or is he just gone to the bathroom and will find them gone lol

I don't fully understand why Johan's doing this with Van? to test his strength? and also he wants his name? Edit after reddit thread reading: Someone said he wants to bring out the demon so that he can see if Van can control it enough so that the prophecy of him killing Miho again will come true or not. He left the shrimp croquettes so that she'd be busy eating those and not come looking for the two of them. that makes sense.

oh this is how Van had previously killed her. by his demon side coming out and stabbing her. oof Johan what have you done

A more interesting episode. I wish we got to see the weirdo abusive ex being ripped to shreds at least a little bit or maybe his dead body since we got to see Suryeon's bruised face and her vulnerable photos.

The Johan and Van fighting was pretty cool, one of the action sequences that I thought was actually fun because it involved things more than just chasing or saving Miho.

Also, I'm at least glad that Miho's rich and has connections because otherwise she'd be so fucking useless but then again, she's pretty useless with it too. She didn't seem to give a fuck when Yeomji first came to tell her that Suryeon was being abused, so I didn't think the 'empathy and kindness' would be her forte the way it is for so many female leads but then after she saw the state Suryeon was in, she did start to care more. I thought her having money would mean maybe she could actually get revenge for Suryeong but in the end, Van had to ask Bujille for help. Miho can't save herself which is irritating still 4 episodes in especially when she's been shown to know how to fight but she also can't help Suryeon much despite her status and money. What the fuck can she do by herself then except whatever pureness is inside her and whatever the prophecy will dictate?

I wish we got better-written, more interesting female characters. Yeom-ji is interesting so far, maybe she'll appear more later

Ep 5 (Mar 15)

I love the horror aspect of the tourist murder and organ extraction, please have more scary things

Miho fr went outside by herself in the woods after 1) the Dujille incident and 2) the Van incident? girl you are generally useless, why would you fucking do that

Miho sounds stupid as hell with the "you promised to protect me and you did :>" like at least make her be like i believe you will overcome it or like something that doesn't sound so naive

and i wish they didn't have a romance because it doesn't make sense

pls not all the girls following behind Johan because he's so beautiful and he's relishing in that for sure oh this priest

Johan's a priest right, he likes girls fawning over him but he's not gonna fall for Miho right? I don't want another romantic line

like first of all after the lust demons have nearly killed her multiple times + Suryeon's lust demon infested Bunjille due to it trying to Miho, I feel like Miho should have enough brain cells to be like actually don't come near me

oh the husband died but at least Johan got to meet his brother; though he may die soon too who knows

oh they're adopted by white people who have a sick child.... omg

they're gonna fucking do something to the kids T.T

I don't fully understand what happened but did they try to get Johan's brother's liver for their sick child? is that why he was sick also before they took Johan away? but why was Johan also clutching his stomach and blood on his shirt? Did the operation with the older sibling and white child not work so they tried it with Johan too? Is this white sick child the one searching for the liver now as the Fox Demon or smth? or is it Johan's brother since his liver would be missing, though that doesn't quite make sense with what happened with those other people that the brother worked with right?

ah the siblings are having a heart to heart but uhhh I feel like the "let's stay together" yearning of Johan is not gonna be long-lived

oh fuck the brother is so definitely working for Guntan or something rip

oh did Wonjeong betray Guntan and Van somehow? or accidentally betray them but Guntan believes she did it on purpose?

Also, the thing that Chan-hee was getting and saying "It's not mine" is probably kidney and not liver lol I thought liver because they said that's what the Fox Demon stole but Chan-hee was not that.

Overall Thoughts:

The main female lead was whatever, wish she was just good at something. Whether it be at fighting demons (understandable that she isn't), was fighting back via kindness and empathy (I'll be forever floored that she's apparently feeling soooo much for fucking Van while her reaction to being told about Suryeon's situation was like hmm whatever just tell the cops), actual power due to her status/wealth/connections (but she couldn't even fucking put the abusive ex behind bars and couldn't keep her promise to Suryeon to get revenge for her and then dared to be like 'hmm idk how I feel about this' when Van got him killed), or her smarts (miss girl kept going everywhere in the woods by herself, including in the dark; she couldn't tell her friend to not come to her at night like this). She's not the worst ever because she can still stand up for herself and she has personality but I mourn that they've written her like this. I also just hate that the only other girl we've paid any significant attention to was Suryeon and I had to see her go through an abusive relationship; why can't we get some cool suffering, why do I have to see girls and women be tortured at the hands of men in this way every time?

Van is just fucking boring and I don't care. He's kinda cool but like he's not fun or interesting or endearing or tunning at my heart strings (except him as a child when he was being abused as he was trained T.T)

My beloved Johan <3333 Cha Eunwoo was my main reason for keeping an eye on this show since I watched True Beauty and was into Astro for a few weeks. He did so well <33 I liked his charming, cocky, beautiful character who was so intrigued by everything going on as if he really was 20 and curious about everything but also I liked his apprehension when it came down to it. The storyline with his brother was so T.T He had him for such a short time and it was so sad seeing him trying to do everything to save him and yet having to kill him in the end.

Also curious to see the evil brother half-demon Guntan and his sidekick niece Yeom-ji. They're both pretty cool compared to our 2 main characters. The Certified Noonas were talking about how cool Guntan is and all I could think about was "So, what if he's the devil, Rick? At least the devil has a job. At least he's active in the community." because mans is really active and murderous and a cult leader.

I wish the show flowed better in terms of the sequence of scenes and pacing and the main characters were more intriguing.
