OBNUBILAR wip COMIC ANNOUNCEMENT:

SO... okay I have a lot of explaining to do don't I? 😅 well well its a long read.

💙 I am MAKING the comic guys. It's been a work in progress for ...4 or 5 months even! This was part of my thesis project!

I made the animation... some stickers... some trial keychains... all because! I made a first bit of the Obnubilar comic as well! 😩✨️ it's still a WIP and will be for LONG but I'm making it and I'm excited.

Some disclaimers:

💛 it's the first comic i make and it isn't perfect in the slightest.

❤️ I made these pages when my tendonitis was at its strongest 🫠 so to reach my goal for the thesis I had to cut short on a lot of stuff and apply some tricks, reduce the detail level and all that.

💙 I worked on the comic in italian first and foremost so translation might be kinda wonky. pardon!

These first 50 pages are still a WIP some changes will be made (but overall the comic will look like this) I never made studies on how to make comics so I don't pretend being a master! I'm not at all I JUST HOPE YOU ENJOY IT :")

The pages I posted end abruptly since it's unfinished. They are in English to read (link below).

It'll take me a long time before I can finish it, I'm talking for sure a few years even if there's issues with timing and / or plot.

I actually have a few more pages ready but I can't upload them and I want to have a bigger amount of pages to send to a few friends that are beta-readers first. Their feedback is always appreciated as it helps me change the dynamics and looks or even dialogue as my writing can be weak 😅👍 no shame in that! Won't improve unless I keep trying!

Suggestion: read this as if it's a lil experimental piece 💓✨️ :D would love to know what you like about it or some feedback, please be kind.

Announcement For My ArthroSwap Comic!!!

Hello!!! Thank you all for the support. I feel like I am popular enough to write my au comic without it being ignored!

I don't know when the first page is going to be posted. But I've already wrote the script for the first 4 pages!

ArthroSwap is an au where it's a Swap au, but everybody is Arthropods! (as it says in the name). The comic starts off as Crayed Ink (Another one of my ocs) Noticed somethings changed. He gets really excited as nothings changed in who know how long! He finds a new au named ArthroSwap and immediately checks it out. Here's the masterpost. Undertale Au Comics.

ParaSenses Update

Hi everyone! We wanted to give you a little update on how the comic is moving forward, along with our work progress! We have a few notes to give for those of you who are interested, and how we plan to keep going in the future.

Art Style

First of all we do want to say that we have found a new work flow that works a lot faster for the both of us! We were struggling in our beginnings to find a consistent art style (that some might have noticed between chapter 1.1 and chapter 1.3) that we do believe we have fully fixed. With this new found style, we are able to work between panels a lot faster.

Something we always wanted was to have our own backgrounds drawn, and our characters shaded. This will take more time to do, but we hope you all understand this artistic decision we took. We did cut corners on any heavy shading to cut back on time, but we want to give the best quality possible.

Chapter Length

The chapters have all been pre-written in advance, and we have realised just how terribly long these have ended up being. However, we do not want to cut them up to the point of releasing five to six panels a week just to push out content.

We will continue to cut our chapters in a few pieces as we have previously done (chapter 2.1, chapter 2.2, chapter 2.3, etc...) but make sure one chapter is fully done to release it ever two weeks. This will give us time to work on the next few chapters, and Patreon content. We still want to release long chapters for people to enjoy even if the time is more distanced, than releasing them in smaller increments.

Character Design

Small changes that will be done for the characters for chapter 2 is their color scheme. A small modification has been done to adjust their tone:

Blair

Blair's colors for his clothes were too clashing with his skin and face. Not only that, the line art was hard to see on his gloves, and we felt that the red was too sharp. We made small modifications on his clothing colors-

-for something much softer!

Xephan

We found a different kind of problem for Xephan. His color schemes completely blends together; his gloves are almost the same color as his hair, his pants are the same tone as his coat... It makes him extremely difficult to color (Avery's note: And I'm the one coloring him. So I remade his color palette.) Unfortunately, I didn't keep a before picture, but here's Xephan in the comic beforehand.

He's blending a whole lot together. I made some very light rearrangement so his glove at least doesn't disappear if it gets in the same shot of his hair.

It's faint, but we didn't want to make something too apparent. HOWEVER. This isn't the last change Xephan will go through. His design is overly complex, and takes too much time to do (Avery's note: Not only that, half the time I receive the line art to color and shade, Xephan is missing at least an element or two.) And so, after the first mission these two will go on, we will reduce the amount of clutter he has on him so it at least doesn't feel out of the blue.

Time Frame

Finally, when it comes down to time before the release of our chapters, we still need more time to work. Life has been hectic on our side, but we've been working everyday to make this happen, and we wanted to show you guys that this isn't a project that's been discarded. We are still working day and night to make it happen. We also have a small animatic coming up in the meantime to thank you for your patience. My comic FRANTIC LIVE turns 6 years old today!

It's been 6 years since I started posting it online after preparing the entirety of volume 1 for print. Much has changed in these years, and most notably, I haven't been able to update the comic much. It was my first long comic project, and there is no underestimating the amount of work that goes into something like this - especially when you're working in full color.

Eventually, I had to put comic work on the backburner when COVID happened and I lost conventions as a means of income (and tbh, they were not a great one to begin with!)

I think everyone here knows how much I love Mitch and want to tell his story. Volume 1 was made with a strict deadline and intended for print with what limited funds I had, so I had to keep the page count low, compressing plot elements that could've used more love. This has been bothering me for years!

Because of this, I'm pleased to announce that FRANTIC LIVE will be REMASTERED, with @scribbleryn's help to re-do and polish the plot. This is a complete reboot which will be mostly self-hosted so we don't have to censor or tone down any part of it.

Some elements will change, some will stay. It will be the same old Mitch, band, Sam, Gerry… with a host of new characters to support. We will be working on this over the spring and summer and will share more tidbits soon!

You guys probably wasn't expecting a post like this... Sorry for not posting the ArthroSwap Comic Page 1 yet... I've never done this before. And I'm not a very productive person. I don't know what time people expects me to make the comic and I'm worried that I'm doing this too late... You might not get the first page in a while... so sorry for that!

Anyways! I realized I didn't explain the comic well in the last post so I'll do it better. "This comic is about Crayed Ink (Crayed = Code + Grayed) Trying to find himself after he lost his memories in the coid (Coid = Code + Void or/and Code + Anti-void), And The ArthroSwap Au dealing with the human." Comic in the works

So I'm in the process of remaking an old comic project I started back in the summer of '08. It's gone through multiple iterations in that time frame, but at this point, I am happy to announce that I've come to a finalization of the story. Will it be as good as I envision it? Possibly, but we'll see how it goes.

This is the cover as of right now

This started on Smackjeeves as a sprite comic under the name of "The Devil's Price". I think the max amount of fans it had was close to 75, which at the time for a sprite comic with close to 20 6-panel pages, was pretty good, especially when I had very little experience compared to the others within the community. By the time the final iteration of TDP was on SJ, I was only part of the community for roughly a year and a half.

I hope this will surpass its original iteration by several miles, and if you're one of the very few who seen the original, I hope this kind of wipes away the cringe that was prevalent throughout the pages. I've been slowly perfecting the plot over the last decade, more so within the last few years, and I'm happy to show where it'll go. The first pages will be posted as soon as I get a few made and saved up so there can be a semi-regular schedule.
