Songs that glitch

Sometimes I hear glitches in songs.

And btw, I'm not trying to criticize the artists or producers. I love all of these songs. But glitches are annoying, and I'm just trying to see if there are other people hearing these glitches or if I've lost it.

This list is based on the YouTube and Spotify versions, perhaps there are no glitches on the physical copies of the songs.

vampire by Olivia Rodrigo (2023) - At 1:25, right before it goes "you called them crazy"

Words Fail from Dear Evan Hansen (movie, 2021). At 0:57, while it goes "I never had that perfect girl". I remember watching the movie in the theatre and hearing more than one glitch throughout the son. At the time, I thought it was the audio system's fault but nope, it's on the official album. (honestly, this whole song sounds glitchy to me now that I'm listening back to it)

Madly from Cyrano (movie, 2022) - At 2:27, when it goes "like this"

Daylight by Taylor Swift (2019) - This one is quite obvious. At 4:18 it goes "the things I'm afrai— I'm afraid of" while it should just be "the things I'm afraid of", once.

No Cyrano from Cyrano (movie, 2022) (yes, another one) - at 1:50 when it goes "I won't let you go".

Superhero anon got my thinking and I realized "If I Could Tell Her" from Dear Evan Hansen is perfect for an AU like that.

I think the song came up on here years ago when DEH first blew up. In context the singer is pretending he was friends with the girls dead brother and talking about his own feelings toward her through the guise of things the brother supposedly "said." Which is less shippy (and also messed up) but out of context, it's a lot of fun.

I imagine in this case, the brother is a superhero and the sister doesn't know. In his superhero form, he befriends her and she finds out he knows her brother, who she's grown a bit apart from. So she's asking him if her brother ever said anything about her (maybe she has a crush on him in civilian form, or maybe she just wants to know more about him since they're more distant than they used to be)

So the superhero is telling her all these nice things her brother said about her, which are actually his true feelings about her. Listening to the song in that context is a lot of fun.

That's such a great thing to do with that song, and such a great direction to go on the whole brother/sister secret identity superhero thing.
