I am always heartened by Wayne's ability to have gratitude for adversaries, especially those trying to incarcerate him. Wayne and so many people in the animal rights movement remind me that even when things are difficult and sad, we can keep going because we are fighting for justice together.

I’ve been vegan for eight years (after being raised vegetarian) and today i was abused by other vegans for being disabled and requiring a service dog. Some vegans tried to stick up for me but for the most part, it was insult after insult by dozens of people. The reality is, for many people with disabilities there is no other options currently available. It should be obvious that a $50,000 dog is a last resort for most (if not all) people (considering many disabled people are unemployed) but apparently it’s not obvious to able bodied people at all... What really hurt though was being accused of abusing my fur child. He is not forced or punished to do anything, ever. If he doesn’t want to work, he doesn't. If he does want to work, he gets showered in praise and treats. He has heaps of toys and regularly gets days off to dog parks, beaches, etc. He even has / goes to birthday parties but you're seriously going to say i abuse him? How is this good for the cause in anyway, shape of form? Instead you should be inventing solutions (considering they don’t currently exist) or i don’t know.... Spending your time actually stopping people who are psychically abusing and slaughtering animals? Just a thought.

No human in their right mind would look at this baby enjoying love and affection, and not be moved in a positive way. And yet, the majority of humans send baby male chicks to their deaths on their first day of life. Baby male chicks are ground up alive because they're "not profitable" to the egg industry. They don't lay eggs and they won't grow big enough, fast enough for meat, so they're murdered. If you think that is wrong, then stop paying for it... stop eating eggs. Every omlette, scrambled, or fried egg you eat, is literally throwing this baby into a grinder. Yesterday, I once again had the honor to be among with incredible activists, at a very important protest by @costco in #cliftonnj I am posting this photo of @meirageyser today, to introduce her . Meira is a dedicated young activist who is starting @directactioneverywhere in New Jersey @dxenewjersey . She was the organizer of this protest to expose Smithfield lies and crimes in which @costco sale them even with so many scientific evidences of pathogens detected that leads to deadly pandemics in their facilities . She did an outstanding briefing with us providing many important information much needed to end injustices. Smithfield and others have a long story of abuse towards their workers besides all of the other harms they cause. The meat and dairy industry uses human slavery with 0 rights such as #meatpackingworkers victims of deadly accidents, abuse, low pay and exposure to pandemics. Meat and dairy are not essential, The end of it is. Animals and humans are paying a high price for these industries lies, who are using phony labels such as ”humane slaughter ”, when animals don't want to die #humaneslaughterisalie . We were there because killing them is killing us, and it may be too late if we don't act and speak up. Meira provided the tools for education we need for such an important cause to target the real criminals that sales propaganda leading to illnesses, pandemics and destruction of our environment. I couldn't be more grateful for each activist who stood there with me under the heat, among many cars carrying Tvs, megafones and signs to amplify the voices of the voiceless, after all we are their only voices . They are confined, they want us to speak up and exposed these industries that are killing all of us . In order to keep the fur from rotting once it has been ripped off the poor animal, noxious chemicals such as chromium and formaldehyde must be used. These chemicals cause injury and chronic illness to the often-exploited workers (a number of whom are children) who work in the preservation and dye industry, and also cause direct harm to the surrounding environment and the animals who call it home. Even were this not the case, fur-farming would still be bad for the environment as it is also responsible for habitat loss (due to food production for the animals) and methane emissions, both of which contribute to climate change and species extinction.
