Dig this badarse 1908 sheet music cover, featuring a gun-toting Gibson Girl. The tune itself is a music hall-type number sung by a lady whose beau is a cat burglar (the refrain implores us, if we see a stranger crawling up the side of our house late at night, “DON’T SHOOT: Ask him in for tea, it may be my boy Bill”). Amusing as the song is though, I can’t help but feel that it’s outshined by Edgar Keller’s incredibly evocative cover art.
