Resizing a skirt for my friend
My friend commissioned this skirt from another friend of hers from Germany. She wanted to incorporate an old t-shirt by her favourite band "And One" somehow into a piece of garment. My friends' tailor friend did a marvelous job! Look how gorgeous the skirt turned out! Unfortunately it arrived 3cm too big - which can make quite the difference already when wearing something! So, I got the skirt and added an elastic to the back only.
For that I had to open up a couple of seams, than handstitched the elastic to the seam allowance and closed the seams again (by stitching in the ditch, which is very satisfying imo!). I then secured the added elastic with an additional stitch visible from the outside at the side-seams and one decorative stitch down the back waistband. It's not fully decorative, as it also helps keep the elastic contained and not wobbling around.

Picture 1: A close-up of the inside of a grey skirt. I've hand stitched the waistband down to the lining, so everything stays in place for stitching in the ditch (you do that from the outside).
Picture 2: A close-up of the waistband of a grey skirt. It shows the line of stitching on the outside that secured the elastic, that has been hand stitched to the seam allowance on the inside.
Picture 3: A close-up of the back waistband of a grey skirt. OP (me) has added an elastic to the waist, to resize the skirt and make the skirt fit her friend.
Picture 4: The whole grey skirt is visible. A tailor from Germany made it originally - OP worked on the waistband only. The task was to incoroporate the white t-shirt print, and that has been done beautifully! The print is added onto with white cotton strips, that are enclosed within (belt) loops. [/image description]

And here is a picture of my supplies that I will make into a cosplay purse based from Rabbid Rosalina's weapon/plushie. It will be something to tie together my Princess Rosalina cosplay. Soon I will work on making the pattern for the pieces to cut out. The blue fabric is waterproof and thus is going to be the lining of the purse.

More pretty outfits for the pink wall decal and queer bug 💛
Some little detail explanation:
I gave Scrabby an earring sort of thing that resembles his crystal and the ribbons around his arms are supposed to look like wings! Or at least have a wing texture. Also gave him a bug mandible motif on his skirt, corset belt, and necklace!
I didn’t have much to say for Prismos fit but I really like the ribbon I gave him :>
