I have been thinking about my dark urge's childhood lately, which includes a childhood friendship between Sylas and Enver too. so baby Enver is also there.

Sylas Maeve was found and adopted by Violet and Mayric Maeve - he is one of three 'outcast' children they have taken in. His older sister is a drow girl named Ashlynn, and his younger brother is a half-orc boy named Fynn.

and yes, Sylas has always looked a little... weird.

fun childhood facts are that he hated having his hair done but his mother loved the bonding experience so he never actually cut his curls off. And that little artificer Enver made them a pair of sending stones that they essentially used as walkie-talkies playing in the streets of the lower city.

This is another item from our collection inspired by a random visitor who popped into our Stream (every Mon\Wed\Fri!). They wanted a dagger made of fire, that could summon an Elemental and was powered up while it was out. What do you think? If your DM dangled this in front of you, would you take it?

Serpent’s Flame

Weapon (dagger), very rare (requires attunement)

“The hilt of this dagger looks like the head of a red dragon, mouth open with the blade rising out as if it was spewing a silvered breath of fire. The blade snakes and shifts in a serpent-like shape.”

You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon, and it returns to the wielder’s hand immediately after it is used to make a ranged attack. When you score a critical hit using this weapon you can summon a fire elemental under your control. The elemental remains under your control for 1 minute, after which it turns on you.  The elemental can be dismissed with a bonus action so long as it is under your control. While the elemental is active this weapon deals an additional 2d6 fire damage.

yqy. hes the water to lqg's fire and sqq's wind (which stokes fire). hes the calming rain during the sunset after a burning afternoon. hes the still waters as compared to the extreme winds. BUT. LIKE AN OCEAN. THERES SO MUCH GOING ON UNDERNEATH THE UNMOVING SURFACE.

this is where liujiu come in. theyre the fearless divers who readily plunge. while others may point and talk about how idyllic a lake is, theyre the ones to swim to the middle and see how deep it runs. thing is, the two of them are Wired to actively seek out the truth. its one of the few things they have in common, fiery temper aside. that is Exactly what our dear qige needs. HE NEEDS MORE PEOPLE TO SEE PAST HIS AMICABLE, LIKABLE MASK

not that hes an unlikeable person at heart, thats subjective but like u get what i mean right. BASICALLY he goes out of his way to be liked by everyone, but in doing so shoves all the unlikable parts of himself away. hes a kettle WAITINGGG to explode one day, and it wont be pretty at all

ON THE OTHER HANDD sqq exaggerates all his unlikeable traits to push people away. unlike yqy, who actively tries to bring people closer to him (to a curated ver of him) in a kind of keep your friends close but your enemies closer type of thing, bc at the back of his mind ANYONE can become his enemy and hurt him–its the paranoia talking— sqq keeps everyone at a distance BECAUSE anyone can hurt him.

since lqg Hates people faking things–sqq would argue that exaggeration is NOT faking, actually, and yqy would also add that downplaying isnt either— hed just. do what he does best: fist fight his way into fixing things👍👍

JK BUT NOT RLLY HED ALSO BE THEIR (surprisingly) level-headed anchor when they go through problems as a couple. had an absurd amt of fun doodling cal last night so take the other dnd character i've been playing this semester (her campaign just ended </3). her name is pellet (full title sir pellet the rambunctious) she is a spores druid and she is Stinky (i love her dearly)

#martzipan #she's actually. very difficult for me to draw lmao #she keeps rats in her cloak!! they're her buddies #she's actually very very powerful. fun fact she got the last hit on the bbeg. it was climactic as hell. i had a good ass time with it #would have drawn it but that would have required the effort to put her in the right pose lmao #oh yeah pellet's main deal is necromancy. she's a fan. it's fun for her #that last little doodle with the nine circles is in reference to how that campaign ended #that being. the artificer who was given a very powerful magic item that let her cast wish 3 times before Something Bad Happened uh. #well she used her third wish. at the ceremony in which the party was knighted #because she lost her homunculus servant in the final battle #so she. wanted to kill a party member (the sorcerer) and use his life to revive said homunculus #it. did not work (he counterspelled). the Bad Thing still happened though #a rift opened at that point across all of the planes #the sheer force of the rift instakilled both the artificer and the rogue #pellet and the sorcerer survived. barely (downed pretty hard). they were each transported to random planes #the sorcerer was transported to the infernal plane. where. the flames got him #pellet was transported to the nine circles of hell. she survived her death saves and woke up next to the river styx #and that was how the campaign ended. we won. and then a player nearly tpk'd us lmao #pellet as the sole survivor is great. fits her cockroach unkillable vibe perfectly #perfect setup for a spinoff too. if the dm ever has a campaign set in the nine circles she is for SURE showing up #i love my little goblin druid so much. playing a druid was really really fun actually #my darling. she is hard for me to draw for some reason
