When drawing Dina, Maya and Gadrielle... What shapes do you use the most for them? Like face and body shapes, how different are they from each other (the twins might be similar in terms of face shape and features tho).
Helloooo tks for the fantastic question!!!
Impromptu character face design I guess?????
You're absolutely right, Dina and Maya are identical twins so they do share similar features for the most part with a few characteristic differences. They have angular/long triangle face type: sharp jawline, high pointy nose, sunken cheeks and deep eye sockets (great contrast for the white eyes). Mostly to portray their depressive state of mind lol and their harsh lifestyle. Their difference is that there is a slight mischief to Maya's face (eyebrows, smirk, hairstyle) and a more intense focus look to Dina's. Sharp, tired, eyes like dagger vibe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gadrielle has a much smaller and wider face shape in comparison. Almost like a diamond! Her lips are fuller and her nose is rounder. Loose updo hair. She is a merchant and an elegant and classy elf femme but humble and not to the point of fancy. Big eyes with sharp thick eyebrows to give that insightful 'staring into ur soul' kind of look. Very enigmatic vibe. Also very hard to shade sometimes lol

i hope this rant helps with your oc face design process?????

The Almighty Will Kill All The Wicked
The Almighty will kill all the wicked! They are those who try to SAY, what God has said. Enoch warned us that Gadriel, would be known as GOD. This is a deceptive name, because we know that the order of Yaldaboath has established what we see as the truth, concealing My Name! They take a single book, to say that it holds all the answers to life; and that all other sources of information for such…

Azazel
The name Azazel only occurs one time in all of the canonical Bible, in Leviticus 16:8-10. As the Catholic Encyclopedia records, this passage explains the ceremony that the Jewish people should perform as part of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.
As a personification of evil, the Jewish Encyclopedia refers to Azazel as "in some degree a preparation" for the idea of Satan. The figure of Azazel is likely pre-Israelite in origin and is probably closely tied to a communal fear for the mountainous desert region that he came to personify.
According to the Nahmanides the scapegoat rite is a symbolic expression of the idea that the people's sins and their evil consequences were to be sent back to the spirit of desolation and ruin, the source of all impurity.
1 Enoch portrays Azazel as responsible for teaching people to make weapons and cosmetics, for which he was cast out of heaven.
In the extra-canonical text the Apocalypse of Abraham (c.1st CE), Azazel appears as an unclean bird who came down upon the sacrifice which Abraham prepared. (This is in reference to Genesis 15:11: "Birds of prey came down on the carcasses, but Abram drove them away" [NIV]).
In the Apocalypse of Abraham, Azazel is described with his own Kavod (Magnificence), a term usually used for the Divine in apocalyptic literature, already indicating the devil as anti-thesis of God, with the devil's kingdom on earth and God's kingdom in heaven. Azazel is also identified with the serpent which tempted Eve.
In De occulta philosophia (1509-1510), Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa: Scale of quaternary: Four Princes of devils in the elements: Azazel: Air
In later lore, he is fallen and is punished by having his nose pierced.
The word "scapegoat" has developed to indicate a person who is blamed and punished for the actions of others.

Identified With
The Devil
[Apocalypse of Abraham] Here there is the idea that God's heritage (the created world) is largely under the dominion of evil – i.e., it is "shared with Azazel" (Abr. 20:5), again identifying him with the devil, who was called "the prince of this world" by Jesus. (John 12:31 niv)
Gadriel and Rameel
Some of the fallen angels that are given in 1 Enoch have other names, such as Rameel ('morning of God'), who becomes Azazel, and is also called Gadriel ('wall of God') in Chapter 68. (A source is not cited for this)
Gadreel (Hebrew: גדר האל, romanized: Gader ha-el, lit. 'Wall of God') is listed as one of the chiefs of the fallen Watchers. He is said to have been responsible for deceiving Eve. Schmidt lists the name as meaning 'the helper of God.'
Iblis
In Islamic lore, Azazel or Azazeel was the name of Iblis before he disobeyed God by not bowing to humans and was sent from the Earth.
Satan
Origen ("Contra Celsum," vi. 43) identifies Azazel with Satan.
Azaz, as in Azazel, means strength, so the name Azazel can refer to 'strength of God'. But the sense in which it is used most probably means 'impudent' (showing strength towards), which results in 'arrogant to God'. This is also a key point in modern thought that Azazel is Satan. Also important in this identification is the fact that the original name Rameel, is very similar in meaning to the word Lucifer ('Morning Star') which is a common Latin name of Satan in Christianity.

Depictions
His form is described as a dragon with "hands and feet like a man's, on his back six wings on the right and six on the left." (23:7)
Originally, Azazel was one of heaven’s angels, a gloriously beautiful man with wings on his back.
Today, like many demons, Azazel is drawn with red skin, glowing yellow eyes, and a barbed tail. He may also be found wearing goat skulls or dressed in goat bones.
He is a shape-shifter and may appear in any form, including a winged angel.
An unclean bird, bird of prey, carrion bird

Snippet - The Calling (AU: Woven Souls)
This takes place long before ARR or even 1.0, when Thancred is only thirteen and Kal'istae only ten.
“I still don’t see why I had to come along.” Thancred kicked a pebble along the street as he and Louisoix strode from the Aethryte towards the manor where Fourchenault and Ameliance had made their home, one of many the Leveilleur family owned. The Dravanian Colony had been established centuries before, and Louisoix’s eldest son and his wife were only the latest members of the family living there since they'd graduated from the Studium and elected to join the research team studying the Aetherial Sea.
Louisoix never lost his smile as he strolled along, his hands folded at his back and his gaze roaming about the colony, studying the changes made since last he’d been there. “I wanted you along. That should be reason enough. But if you need more, it was either you come with me, or your mother was going to skin you before the new session begins.”
The young hyuran boy grimaced, shoulders hunching against an imagined blow. “I was only trying to help,” he said plaintively. “How was I supposed to know she would have Lady Varineaux over for tea?”
Reaching out, Louisoix placed his hand on Thancred’s head and the boy fell into a sulky silence. “She appreciated the thought, but neither the timing nor the lack of permission.  You’re a bright boy, Thancred. Over-bright, sometimes. You need something to stimulate you at every turn. I’ve been considering enrolling you early in some classes at the Studium.”
Thancred stuttered to a stop. “Really?” he asked, staring up at Louisoix. “You said I couldn’t start at the Studium until I was fourteen.”
Turning, the older man smiled down at his young ward. “Only a few classes, mind you. One or two, just enough to keep you out of your mother’s hair when your private school is not in session. Master Casiliat has been asking after you in particular.”
“The Bardic instructor?” he asked after a few moment’s thought as he trotted to catch up to his father. “What does he want with me?”
Nodding to a lalafellan woman as she rushed by, Louisoix smiled a secret smile. “Your brains, your hands, and the potential of your voice. You’re a very clever young man, and you’ve got quick fingers and a quicker tongue. He thinks you’ve the makings of a first-class bard - and, perhaps, a first-class spy.”
Once more, Thancred skidded to a halt. “A spy?” he whispered. “Me?”
“Perhaps. At the very least, the training will help you in other aspects of your life,” came Louisoix’s calm response. “The younger you begin training, the quicker you will learn, and that is true in both music and espionage. You’ve the mind and the skills for it. Have you the desire?” At the boy’s rapid head-nod, he smiled. “Then I will speak with Gadriel when we return home.”
With a whoop, Thancred leapt into the air, pumping his fist, then darted ahead of the older man, his reluctance forgotten in the promise of an early start at the Studium. Louisoix continued at his slow, steady pace, his face bright with pride as he gazed after his younger son.
They’d said he was crazy for adopting the stray wharf-rat who had tried to pick his pocket on the docks of Limsa Lominsa. Bad blood, they’d said. Pirate-spawn, destined for the headman’s noose. Rough, dirty, coarse, they swore he would never amount to anything.
Louisoix watched Thancred laugh as he darted towards the stately manor lying just off of the street, pale silver hair shining in the sun, long bones strong and wrapped in young muscle and golden skin. It had taken only weeks and several dozen baths - and the application of some tough love - before even his most ardent detractors had to admit that the boy had not only fast hands, but equally quick wits, running mental races around their own well-favored offspring. His charming words and ready grin had kept him from making too many enemies, and within his first year, few in Sharlayan remembered his less than illustrious beginnings.
Of course, he mused, watching as Fourchenault came out of his house and frowned at the boy pelting towards him, not everyone had forgotten. Thancred skidded to a halt in front of his older brother, resting his hands on his knees and panting furiously as he fought to catch his breath. Louisoix could hear Fourchenault’s scathing tone as he neared, but only managed to catch a few of the words. “... dignity… Sharlayan… Leveilleur…”
Sighing, he reached out and caught the back of Thancred’s hood as the boy straightened abruptly, fire in his eye. “Good afternoon, Fourchenault,” he said to his oldest son.
“Good afternoon, Father,” the younger Elezen replied only a little stiffly. “I see you chose to bring the boy with you.”
Thancred made a face. “What gave it away?” he asked pertly, then winced as the older man’s hand tightened on his collar. “Father thought I could help you and Lady Ameliance unpack from your recent trip,” he added sullenly.
“That would be lovely, Thancred.” Right on cue, Fourchenault’s young, lovely wife swept out of the house and strode up to Louisoix and Thancred, kissing first her father-in-law, then her brother-in-law on their cheeks. Louisoix smiled at her, while Thancred turned red and mumbled a hello. “I’m sure you’re both starving. Come in, lunch is just about ready. I’ve readied the Blue Suite for the two of you; it overlooks the gardens and I’m certain you’ll find it quite restful.” Sliding her arm through Louisoix’s, she guided him through the entryway into the foyer. “Come in. Welcome to our home.”

I really think it would have made the MLB series much better, if Adrien found out Monarch's identity. Like Felix did. Because Felix's scene when he confronted Gadriel should have been Adrien's scene. Adrien should have been the one to play mind games with his father and maybe even work with him. If you have watched ATLAB, you know how devastating Zuko's betrayal was. I think something similar should have been implemented into Adrien's character arc.
Imagine. First, Chat Noir is a hero, who is loyal to his partner at all times and trusts her completely. Then, as more and more heroes join the team and more secrets are kept, the rift grows between the main heros. Around that time Adrien, finds out Hawkmoth's identity. Imagine how impactful it would be, if Gabriel gave his son THE CHOICE. Maybe even give the boy his amok to ensure his decision is volitary. To help revive his mother, the most important person to Adrien before her issapearence. He's given THE CHOICE, when previously the boy didn't have any power over his life. It would show that Gabe *trusts* Adrien to make the "right" decision. And Adrien is at war with himself, because, on one hand, the obvious right thing to do is to tell Ladybug, but they're not as close anymore, and it's his *father* who asks for assistance. But on the other hand, another right thing to do is to help bring his mother back. The Wish would make it seem that his betrayal never had happen. It's a win win situation, right?
And Adrien is on edge constantly. Giving the heroes false leads while helping his father, while trying to be casual with the team to not out himself. Nowever, not pulling the trigger to get the earrings. But at some point he would attempt such a thing, maybe even getting the upper hand in their fight. However, upon finding who's under the mask (maybe Adrienette would have happen already which would make that even more heartbreaking) he panics and bounces.
And oooooo, that's such a great inner conflict for Adrien. To be forced to choose between people he loves the most.
And then maybe at some point Felix shows up. And we could have Felix suggest that Adrien is controlled by amok. But then everyone finds out that Adrien/Chat Noir cooperated with the enemy out of his own will. And it would be so devastating for everyone involved. >:D
I just can't get this scenario out of my head. Stars, It would have been so cool. Please tell me someone has already written something like this.
