I reached the transition goals I had as a younger teen (skinny transmasc with androgynous haircut who looks like he's dying)

Only to realize I would rather be a toned dude with long hair who looks like he knows how to cook

(also I only got to my "ideal" transition by being extremely unhealthy and hitting some of the worst points of my adult life so)

But for real I look in the mirror and think "wow. I'm exactly what I wanted when I was younger and now I don't recognize myself"

Like it is so painfully clear to me that I am unwell, and I don't like it

I'm doing better, I am getting better, but the circles under my eyes have formed little wrinkles I am fully aware will not go away when I'm better

I'm not upset about that, it's just kinda sad to me that it took getting this far to realize what I thought I wanted to look like wasn't what I wanted

I think I thought "I want to be a twink who looks like he's dying" because that's all I could ever see me becoming, not because I actually wanted it

That and there's a weird push for transmasc to fit certain molds and I didn't see myself in any of the other molds other than this one so I settled

I want to change my name to a cool enby one but I’m terrified the people around me would think it’s weird/cringe and would tell me to just stay with my current name I can’t handle the embarrassment that would come from it lol.

Barbie-land has infinite genders but we will narrow that to five-ish categories.

gender #1 is Barbie. Of course. gender #2 is Ken. gender #3 is Weird Barbie. gender #4 is Sideline of Barbie with names other than Barbie or Ken. Which may or may not be related to-

gender #5, Discontinued. Like Sideline (and maybe Weird Barbie who knows right?) has mane genders like little ducks under and umbrella.

Because of course some can be multiple. For instance, Alan, and Midge, are they 4 or 5? Well probably they are both actually.

Hear Me Out And Don’t Get Mad Please:

I see everyone going for trans masc. Steve. And yes, I love trans masc. Steve as well— do not get me wrong.

But he strikes me as more genderqueer gender-fluid?

Steve seems like he uses multiple sets of pronouns and not just he/him they/them.

I’ll probably write another post about this another time once I’ve done more research into gender identities in the 80s, but I’m still leaning more towards genderqueer Steve who uses all pronouns daily and likes the mix up but won’t ever correct someone if they use only one set of pronouns.
