i just think that when it really comes down to it vaggie frustrates me a little because i see how much potential there is in her as a character but the writers kind of underexplore the most interesting parts of her story. her arc in episode 7 is supposedly about learning to focus on her love for charlie instead of her desire for revenge against heaven. except we already know how devoted vaggie is to charlie. literally all of heaven knows how about how much they love each other. and vaggie was actually the one reminding charlie to keep a cool head in the courthouse scene, she hasn't been motivated by revenge at all. so this song is kind of unnecessary

i wish they'd focus instead on how vaggie's belief in the hotel and charlie's dream is rooted in her desire to make up for her past. her line in episode 3 about charlie being a source of comfort in a new place hits a lot harder when you know that charlie saved vaggie's life and took her in when she was cast out of heaven. charlie showed her that her choice to choose mercy over heaven's supposed justice was right and that there was still good to be found in hell. and that ties in really well to the questioning of heaven's black-and-white view of morality where the dead are judged and then left alone without consideration for their potential to improve as people. vaggie's whole character is rooted in having a deep sense of empathy for other people even if that isn't always immediately evident. she's a good person who in the past was forced to do horrible things but she really does love with all her heart and believe in other people. and i think i'd really like it if she had more solo moments outside of just her relationship with charlie

Book Demerzel was male in the past too! She is Gender.

Ooh, okay, so I guess my understanding of things is kind of impaired by the fact that I'm still on Edge (I went in in-universe chrono, though--I mean I did the Empire books all jumbled because I read Pebble ages and ages ago and then the other two came in as holds from my library in the wrong order hahah--so I started the Foundation novels with Prelude) and have yet to read and Earth which I think he returns in? So I might be missing a huge amount of context regarding his presentation/interpretation/etc. etc.

Most of my ideas about Daneel's complication regarding gender mostly conform to my understanding of him (any pronouns apply 🥰🥰 but I'm used to he so I'll just go with that for now) as a fundamentally resolved, instrumental thing--though cornered of course by minimalism and limited knowledge--who has the luxury (?) of more readily identifying the contextual applications of gender, combined then with millenia of insight into the fluid/arbitrary drifts of social and cultural mores, plus his own schematics of prioritization and internalization... I think he is on like extradimensional levels of gender, internally, and I hope there is canon basis for him taking upon himself some gendered aspects in a functional/teleological manner (as he takes on other aspects of personhood! even Demerzel himself is an adopted aspect!) because I think that even if that goes uninterrogated (as so many things in these novels do GRRR!) it has even more necessary implications for his internal cognitions of gender!!!!

That said I DO also think there's something to be said about the amount of gendered socialization he gets in his most formative years (especially from his Earthman who knows his sociological formulas but does not have a very sophisticated or unblemished understanding of gender politicssdbfkdj)--which is undercut by his state of subjection and perpetual qualification and Othering from people who do know his true nature, and then the implication of Deceit (not what I believe him to be doing--at least in the context of gender/lack thereof but definitely how it would be interpreted by towards people who don't know what he is which like. very transgender existence tbh being considered inherently deceitful) but this all just makes it more texturally complex and interesting and makes him even better at being soooo gender. Love that thing!!!!

This chapter was so good! I have always been interested in the d/s dynamic, but most fics I read jump to straight k!nk right away, which feels both unhealthy and realistic. The build-up, the constant consent check-ins…. This was hot AND made me feel safe.

THE LAST THING MICHAEL REMEMBERS is stumbling his way back. Or... trying to: the excruciating steps against bursts of intense pain, his own blood coating his clothes and fingertips in an attempt to slow the blood loss, black dots pulling at his vision and the disorientation causing his hands to keep slipping until his legs gave way. He lost consciousness only moments after his body hit the sidewalk, though he must have made it far enough: he could see his father in the corner of his eye just before the dizziness overtook him.

It has been a long time since his father's presence was a comforting one.

Any of the relief that flooded through him then is gone when he opens his eyes. He's laying down, inside, though his vision is still too blurry to tell if it's his room, the living room, somewhere else... a question quickly pushed from his mind as the pain sets in. Even still, there is an undeniable pressure against his chest, constricting his lungs and giving every breath weight. Confused, Michael attempts to prop himself up on his elbows, the sudden movement sending RIPPLES of pain through his head and body. He glances down at himself, spots the bandages peeking out from underneath the fresh shirt.

The bandages... on his right shoulder, torso, leg... Michael's breathing quickens as the dots suddenly connect, the night's terror rushing back to him. It wasn't the first he had wandered alone at night, but venturing through the wooded area further away was a sort of retaliation. The wolf ( ... creature? ) that attacked him was unlike any animal Michael had ever seen in the area ( or ever ), though he was too busy running, kicking, and screaming as its teeth ripped through his flesh to get a good luck at it. The gashes from its claws are deep, but the shoulder wound is by far the worst— just to the side of his neck ( a bite ), it wouldn't stop spilling blood. Michael is certain a few more seconds would have left him dead, but it just... ran away.

Agonizing as it is, the panic causes Michael to frantically force himself up. He immediately groans, the noise weak and grating. His pulse skyrockets, too disoriented to notice his surroundings until his father is directly beside him, his hands a steady guide preventing him from standing. Michael doesn't have the energy to jerk away. In fact, he reaches out to grip his father's arm tight, as if begging for him to stay there.

"What... what... hah—" Groggy. Clearly confused ( symptom of severe blood loss ). There isn't even a point to asking, he's the one with the story. Still, it's the only thing he can force out. "What... happened?" His breathing is still fast, each rise and fall of his chest a monumental task. "I was... after I left... I don't know what...— dad?" It slips out, the vulnerability that comes with such an intense brush with death. The disgust in himself will creep in later; for now, it's all he can do to not fall unconscious again. "...Sorry. I'm sorry."

#Imagining the fluidity of the motions adding more to the characters #Like. Okay so maybe people haven't really noticed and that's totally fair fair #But I love putting the actions and movements of my characters into what's going on even when it doesn't seem or even isn't important #And I love the fluidity of cartoons especially when they have that extra movements like for example when a character wobbles #Bad at explaining hh #When a character leans back and forth tilting their head and body like their body is sort of limp and loose #and showing that the character is seeming uncaring towards what's going on almost like they're bored or tired or like #The character is moving like that and they sorta look like a ragdoll?? I think it's so cool and fun when they do that #Because sometimes when it's done it can do stuff like show off things like they keep them moving like a doll on strings barely being held u #Mayhaps to show off that the character is more unpredictable and uncaring as they barely put effort into their movements #and leaving the protags uncomfortably unaware of what the wobbly person's next move is. THIS IS A R-PE JOKE! THAT'S WHAT I HAVE BEEN FUCKING SAYING! ONE OF MY BIGGEST PROBLEMS WITH EPISODE 4 IS THE FACT OF "we want to write an empowering story about men getting sexually assaulted. Men victim don't get that attentio-" BITCH, YOU MADE MANY R-PE AND SA JOKES ALL THE FUCKING WAY THROUGH HELLUVA AND KNOW HAZBIN! You are the one making fun of scenarios where your male characters get assaulted or r-ped.

HOW TF DO YOU PRETEND TO BE SOOO ABOVE PEOPLE (INCLUDING VICTIMS OF SA AND R-PE) THAT'S EXPRESSED HOW THEY FELT ON THE EXECUTIONS AND WHO WORKED IN EPISODE 4. WHEN YOU YOURSELF MAKE JOKES ABOUT IT????? For some context, Sir Pent is trying to get with Cherri, but always deflects first in case she rejects him. He offers her a drink, but immediately says it's because he'll buy a drink for everyone on the club. Then he asks Cherri if they can have sex- and deflects back (a repetition joke) "Because I'll have sex with everyone here". Then he gets dragged into a room by other people, yelling wait and no! And the door closes as you heard him scream.

Out of context in the screenshot, you might even think it might be a serious scene where something happens to Pentious. BUT NO! IT'S BRUSHED OVER REAL FAST AND PLAYED AS "HAHA SOMETHING BAD HAPPEN TO SIR PENTIOUS AGAIN LMAOO"- it's the punchline.

Then at the end of the episode he gets out asking "Where is Cherri" (who btw is having sex with a random guy).

And please don't say "Well, he asked for it"- you know how you sound. The whole point of the joke is that he is trying to get with Cherri and failing astronomically. The point here is that he really doesn't want to have sex with a bunch of random people, but he has to do it because he is getting dragged into a room. (Again, Pentious is like Moxxie Their joke it's getting trashed and bullied by the world or people around them).

You made a whole episode about dealing with a male character's sexual assault, abuse or r-pe. Saying how much you respect victims, and your episode, it's just perfect about the topic. BlaBlaBla- no, you don't. You made all this jokes since HB season 1. This new joke was episode 6 of HH. You never acknowledge power dynamics, or coercion. You never acknowledge anything bad in your show.

Remember, as much as this shows go for LGBTQ+ representation and Queer media. As a ""Female lead show"". This jokes link back (not only to making fun of SA and R-pe itself, but to) homophobia and Misogyny. A scenario of where a man gets SA'ed or r-ped by another man or woman- leads to a scenario where the character is made fun of for not being "masculine enough" for being a victim or for not being able to defend themselves. In a scenario where this happens by a man to man, "It's funny because the victim is viewed as gay. As less masculine = gay and that's bad cause gay = weak and feminine and the idea of feminine = weak".

(There are a few jokes here and there, like Blitzo touching Moxxie's dick after making fun of him for having a baby penis.)

If you didn't notice, Moxxie gets attacked by multiple succubus, and that's apparently funny. KEEP IN MIND is not basic physical violence-no he comes out with lipstick kisses marks, the sounds effects are (ugh)... and Blitz tells him "Don't let them access any of your holes". In other concepts, I want to point out that the times when Moxxie is viewed as a bottom or feminine- he is made fun of. When Millie pegs him, he is made fun of because he is the man of the relationship, being implied as the bottom. When he wears the outfit of unhappy campers, he is extra objectified or made fun of even more than in any other episodes. He is also forcefully put on a dress in his wedding.

He is made fun of for being SA'ed for being uncomfortable scenarios:

These aren't jokes made by characters that "are bad because they are from hell". These are scripted jokes written by a person searching for the audience to laugh.

AND the reason why many audiences accept this jokes or even find them funny is because of some of these views (internalized or not) above. You'll also notice how all these jokes are directed at men (if you find an R-pe or SA joke directed at a woman in this two show, say something about it! POINT IT OUT!). People accept and write these jokes more because they care less about the idea of a man being a victim of such situation. More often than not- in the present, a woman getting assaulted or anything similar in any media gets noticed and called out. THESE JOKES OR THE NORMALIZATION OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT, ASSAULT, COERCION, OR SIMILAR TOWARDS WOMAN STILL HAPPENS!!!! There is an idea that men just tend to just want sex all times at any time. -And that a man getting SA'ed or r-ped by a woman it's just sex, cause "Why wouldn't you like free pussy". When it's a gay perpetrator is viewed as funny cause "that makes you gay or a woman" and that's apparently hilarious. Men can be r-ped no matter what. Men can be targets of all of these acts.

Remember that all the scenes of sexual abuse, harassment and r-pe in Poison are directed by the R2. Who, once again, is into r-pe porn- and they themselves said they are not an SA victim either. So remember, not even a victim trying to cope with their own R-pe or SA. This person draws and ships "R-pe ships", and tags it as "naughty men uwu" bullshit. Also, a person so obsessed with the character of Angel that they changed their name to Tony (Angel's real human name), make themselves look like him, and become a sex worker like Angel. They themselves looked at a comic of Val threatening r-pe and abuse on Angel as "thank good you have balls to draw something mean with these too, I was so bored" ???? (this stuff is in:) and cosplay and take photos of your Val x Angel ship

Congrats if you as a victim yourself thought that the scene with Angel was good. If it helped you be and feel seen. But remember the rest of the show, the hypocritical writers, don't care enough to view it as a serious topic to not joke about. Both HB and HH written by the same people (as in Vivziepop), take their sweet time to turn these topics into jokes.

What pisses off more, it's the trying to make yourself be viewed as a sensitive person about such topic. Make it seem like you are a savior for writing about it in such "serious, powerful and not sugar coded" way. But then you drop that on the fucking ground to make a joke about it when you are tired of pretending you are so good. If you were so informed of SA and r-pe, you wouldn't be making these jokes. If you knew how much SA male victims struggle to get viewed as serious or their stories taken into account-you wouldn't be this shitty.

↠he has every. single. one. all the limited time ones, the holidays, any that for whatever reason was recalled-best believe he has everyone. he's very passionate about his ruri-chan rubber ducks.

↠he mainly keeps his ducks in their packaging, having them stacked next to his ruri-chan figures. though there's a few that are out of the package and places throughout the room.

↠if he ever gets the chance he will be getting personalized rubber ducks for you, henry, amd himself. also PLEASE take him rubber duck shopping in the human world.(and yes he bathes with them.)

↠he's not a active collector but if he sees a cat themed duck best believe he will buy it.

↠if you happen to have a rubber duck collection yourself he wouldn't mind hearing you talk about it or showing him it. he encourages it actually.

↠he lovesssss hearing you geek out about your ducks, if he finds one he thinks you'll like he'd totally get it for you.

↠no one aside for you knows about the ducks. he'd like to keep it that way.

↠also not an avid collector, the only ones he'd have are of himself and you.

↠he thinks they're super cute though, if you were to ever give him a rubber duck best believe he'd cherish it for the rest of time.

↠if you ever wanted he'd totally do the ducks makeup & paint on their outfits(I hc him as an artist:3) when you show these on your gram the comments are flooded with praises that have him puffing out his chest proud.

↠if given the opportunity I think he'd totally make bank off of these, he wouldn't mind doing a commison or two but he'd rather keep them home for you instead.

↠is not allowed near the ducks unsupervised

↠he once got curious of what it would taste like and ate one, right in front of you.

↠he felt super bad and apologized. to make up for he'd ordered you more and left the box field with rubber ducks by your door.

↠he likes hearing you talk about the rubber ducks. just don't let him near any/keep them locked away.

I wanted to touch on this reblog I got from my last post because it brings up something I noticed when swapping the HH colors

in one of the tags they discuss the weird black bit on Charlie’s hip area. this is supposed to be the leg line from what I can tell. the reason it looks so awkward is because her pants don’t go up to her hips, rather they sag near the start of her thigh(?)

it makes her pants look separate because of that one line indicating the spilt between her legs.

granted that the pants don’t look as bad or noticeable most of the time. you can tell the waist band area is thin but still there because of how they angle the camera

however it still looks incredibly awkward if you look at it for to long, especially in certain shots. now I do think there’s a chance her pants do go up but the top area is covered by the shirt. it would make since for them to not want her pants to go all the way up to her waist because then you’ve got red on red which might not look as appealing in the very red landscape

I do think it’s worth mentioning that in the pilot the pants did in fact go all the way up her hips! This isn’t as big of a problem because not only is the top jacket cropped/shirt tucked in compared to the final design but her pants are black

sorry for the long post about a character’s pants, this just really bothered me while I was working on the post. I wouldn’t say this is criticism or something I’d fault the show for, just an interesting design choice I noticed!
