sorry i needed to say this somewhere and my mom isn't home rn so here it goes because this is making me too anxious

#honestly wtf? #i was going back home by bus right #and no one usually gets off in the bus stop where i get off because it's a bit in the middle of nowhere #but it's the one closest to my house so i get off there #and today was the first time i took the bus at this time so it wasn't either of the two drivers that i usually see #and this one was literally shouting 'do i have to stop in the next one?' and people shout back if yes #(which is not usual because there are buttons to ask for the bus to stop anyway but oh well) #so when my stop was the next one she asked and i said yes AND press the button just in case #also note that i was already standing next to the door by this point #but she just passed by my stop and i was like 'excuse me i had to get off there' #and she got SO MAD at me and started saying 'then why don't you answer when i asked?' #and i told her i did respond and she didn't believe me until a woman that was there told her i did in fact say it #so she went on saying 'i'm not going to do this again next time i won't ask and let everyone tell me when they want to get off #because it's already happened to me twice today' #like girl if it happened more than once i think it's nit my fault here yk #and also the next stop after mine is literally in another town so she got mad again because she couldn't go back #(technically she could bc there was a roundabout only a bit further away but she didn't want to anyway) #so she literally stopped IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. opened the doors and went 'are you going to get off or what? 🤨' #tbh i was so shocked that i didn't even know what to say so i just got off the bus #thankfully it wasn't too far away from my bus stop and there are not too many cars so it was safe i guess #but honestly wtf was that #like maybe i'm overreacting or something becuse i'm so exhausted after 12 hours at uni today #but that's NOT an appropriate behavior #i'm so fucking tired rn and idek how i went through 12 hours of uni with only one 30 minutes break w/o having a mental breakdown #but this was the straw that broke the camel's back #anyway #ranting #venting #random #maca speaks

Hot 4am take but I feel like if we want to get people more interested in making their yards a more habitable space for wildlife like insects, we have to acknowledge that ‘Don’t want bugs in your house’ is still a 100% fair and valid point of view. ‘Loves nature’ and ‘doesn’t want roaches spiders and mosquitoes in the house’ aren’t opposites.

And with that in mind, when we propose to people that spraying pesticides around houses is Not A Good Idea, Actually, I feel like we need to give an alternative asides from ‘deal with it.’

“i hope the choreo is worth the precious time i could have spend on my studies” you roll your eyes in annoyance yet the corners of your lips just couldn’t stay down as you saw his excited expression while he got the song ready.

as soon as you noticed what song he was going to perform for you, your eyes widen and the heat rushes to your cheeks in an instant.

“are you— seriously?” you look away from him in fear that he’d see your flustered face yet he had obviously already figured it out.

“what? don’t like the song choice? i think it’s perfect, especially for a late night session like this” he winked at you before pressing play and rihannas voice could be heard through the giant speakers.

his footsteps echo slightly through the room as he makes his way over to you, guiding you backwards so that he could have some more space.

“good god—“ you let out with a shaky breath as you look back down to the wooden flooring before managing to look up at him again, paying close attention to how he tugged on his hoodie, his pants and then rolling his sleeves up just for them to roll right back down since his hoodie was pretty loose and thin.

“you ready?” as he notices your pink cheeks and the way you fiddled with your phones case he started to smirk and let out a small chuckle of victory. he had you right where he wanted you.

“whatever…” you spit out nervously but your voice sounded more annoyed and irritated than nervous and flustered. “oh— somebodies feeling feisty” you roll your eyes at his remark once again.

his body moved with the rhythm of the song like he was one with it and his eyes never look away from yours to make sure that you’re actually paying attention and hell— you were paying attention to him…

he hits every beat and makes it look so effortlessly good yet you know that it was everything but effortless. his tongue glides along his lower lip, his gaze locks with yours and your heart skips a thousand beats as you pay attention to how the fabric of his top flies up whenever he lifts his arms, revealing a tad bit of his toned skin to you which makes you look away, covering your lower face with the sleeve of your hoodie. as soon as the part of the song ends to which he had choreographed something to he turns the volume lower so it could be heard in the background as he walks towards you. your face was turned the other way, not daring to look into his eyes at all.

“come on, beautiful… tell me what you think? anything i should change?” he knew exactly what effect he had on you. the way your flushed face was turned away, sleeve still covering your face making it too obvious that you liked everything about it. you were just too shy to admit it.

“was good…” he chuckles as he takes your face in his hand, tilting your chin upwards so you would look at him. “was good? got nothing else to say?” his face leans down to your level, mouth right beside your ear to whisper in a low and raspy voice

“i think there’s a lot on your pretty mind, don’t you think, beautiful?” he was playing with you, with the fact that you were so affected by everything he did and said, by everything about himself just in general. “w-was great… i-i liked it…” you notice the way his face was also slightly flushed, probably because of his performance just now.

“wanna show me how much you liked it?” his head tilts to the side as he leans further down to you, that smirk never leaving his handsome face.

Anyways i also think that Chuuya SHOULD NOT be the Port Mafia boss to be totally honest witchu. If his entire experience with the Sheep, and the way he cracked under pressure as the interim leader during cannibalism, and like, THE BEAST EPILOGUE, had anything to say it's that Chuuya's not fit to be the leader of an organization such as that.

Bc Chuuya's good at adapting, he's good at spur of the moment decisions. He's good with battle tactics. We see his actual leadership abilities shine when he's commanding the mafia troops to protect the city during the guild arc. In cannibalism, his plan to rush the ADA with a full frontal attack was a SOLID idea. But he loses his advantage as soon as he hesitates and opens the table for negotiation instead.

BECAUSE Chuuya's not good at playing the long game like Mori or Dazai. He's reactionary and it's his nature to get overwhelmed by his emotions. He takes on too much responsibility but loses focus due to personal reasons. That what happens in 15 where he blows off the Sheep to go on a life changing field trip with Dazai. That's why he was taken out of the picture so easily to go on a life changing field trip with Ranpo in Cannibalism. (Damn maybe this is why he's on a life changing field trip with Fyodor as a vampire currently).

Essentially even though Asagiri has been really tying Chuuya's character with the themes of leadership, we've mostly been shown why he wouldn't be a good fit. Either this plot point will trend towards Chuuya actually learning how to be a good leader OR he won't end up as one. IN ANY CASE what we know abt Chuuya makes me really think that being the Port Mafia's boss is a terrible idea. He's not fit for the role and frankly, I think he'd hate it.

#another interesting thing: kunikida and chuuya are obviously made to be foils. #and the two of them are currently set up to be the next leaders of their respective organization BUT #were consistently shown that when they ARE in that position they can't handle the pressure #they both crack under stress. they both act self sacrificial. #Kunikida is agreed by everyone to be the agency's next president but tbh i think that's also a TERRIBLE IDEA. #kunikida forces himself to fit a standard. making him the agency's president is only doubling down on a damaging self opinion i think #and honestly i think ranpo would be a good fit for the next leader tbh. thats another story #bsd #meta i guess? #i might expand on the kunikida thing later #ALSO wtf does chuuya DO as an executive?? The day before yesterday I was looking at statistics about reading habits in different countries (average book count per year, age, most read genre, etc) and then yesterday i came across a poll here asking how many books youve read so far this year and now im wondering:

The highest I saw (not just in that poll's tags but on other socials as well) was 365! With the person in question being a lil under 300 rn.

The lowest (and no shame here! I myself have picked up reading again after a long time and it's quite the challenge) was 1! But I also saw lots of people aim for 5.

The average seems to be anywhere around 30 to 60!

And the second most common bracket (interesting that it's also the one made up of mostly late teens and early 20yos) is 10-30!

Idk if anyone will read this but if u do, id love to know more about your thought process in the tags!
