Blood Will Tell/Dororo PS2 Cover Remake

Description: A detailed rendition of the original cover for the 2004 SEGA Playstation 2 title “Dororo”, also known as “Blood Will Tell” outside of Japan. It depicts the two main characters, Hyakkimaru and Dororo, as well as the title in way that parodies PS2 covers in a modern fashion.

Hello, Tumblr!!! I’m pinning this post because I am SO proud of how this turned out and I hope all my fellow Dororo and Tezuka Star System fans show up to support me on this one! I own a copy of Blood Will Tell that is caseless, so I really wanted to use the blank case I have and remake the cover for it… So I did! I also poorly cut together a booklet with it for printing purposes to put into the blank case. I don’t have a photo of that though, unfortunately. Regardless, I’m still very happy with how it turned out.

Hyakkimaru from Blood Will Tell : Dororo. I have just finished retrogaming Blood will Tell, it was a great video game, but I must admit I like more the chara design in the anime, especially Tahomaru, in the anime he looks fire, in the video game he looks random.

Following the pumpkin ghost figurine I reposted awhile ago, here is another adorable beast handmade by youkai-enthousiast artist Acotama.

Acotama's work is inspired by characters drawn in hyakki yagyo emaki (scrolls depicting "night parades of one hundred demons") popular during Edo-period. If some monsters were well known ones (kitsune, tengu, oni, kappa, etc.), many only appear once, making them cheeky creepers drawn for fun more than terrifying creatures of the night.

The discarded hakama shown here is awakening into a tsukumogami with a funny fox-deer face:

Hi I just started reading your fma crossover fic and was wondering if you would ever continue with it?

Thanks for the ask anon! I’m hoping I will at some point because I’ve had a couple people ask about it. I actually have half of the next chapter written, if I remember correctly. However, my writing priority right now is to finish my Slam Dunk post canon fic “Chopping Block” because I’m printing and binding my friend a physical book copy of all my SD fics. On top of that, my most major priority is the Yakuza: Like A Dragon fangame I’m working on which is my pinned post. I have a plethora of art of that and someone who has already made some music for it. Also, I’ve actually written three chapters of what I’ll be basing that fangame off of on AO3! It’s my most recent fic. So to answer your question, I’m a little tied up right now but I’m hoping in the coming months I’ll find time to. I highly suggest bookmarking that fic or turning notifications on for it so you’ll know when it’s up. I’ll probably post on here about it too!

The Tsuchinoko (ツチノコ or 槌の子), literally "Child of Hammer" has the propensity for lying and a taste for sake.

It's a great jumper as well. Can reach like two to five meters.

It gives off a call which sounds like “chee,” and they snore when they sleep.
