i cried while making this. i dont cry while writing or reading fanfic.

2 weeks. That's what the doctor said. 2 weeks until you're dead and you soul is gone from the earth. How does one hold that infomation? How are they supposed to take it? It's not like anyone's alive to really tell you how to cope or react.

So, you sit in silence. Being taken back to the memories of playing football as a child, being in your national team for the first time. Playing for your senior team for the first time. That first kiss with Alexia which was unlike any you'd had before. The first time you'd told her you loved her, and how she immediately said it back.

All of it would come to an end.

You knew you should've been here weeks ago when you first started feeling off, but you weren't one to go a doctor when something felt bad. Just hoped it would go away unless you knew it was an injury that'd affect your career. The only reason you were in the room was because Alexia dragged you there.

What would have happened if she hadn't?

You stare at the wall in front of you, mind without thoughts. Just the shell of someone who used to be there. You feel bad for Alexia, how would she cope? You knew she had plans of proposing, you just didn't know when. That will all be a dream in only a fortnight.

How much will change by then? Will she push you out like she does with most others? Or will she hold you close, thinking that if she did you wouldn't leave her when you both know that won't happen.

When you do look at her, there's tears streaming down her face. Staining her shirt and falling onto the floor. The doctor leads you both out giving a form of all legal action needed before you die. Who to give your money to, how you want to be buried or cremated.

You wonder how they can say such news then proceed to hand papers while being devoid of any emotion. Maybe they've done it too many times to really feel.

Alexia drives home, eyes still leaking with tears. You're not quite sure how she's driving but you both make it home. You watch her mundane and robotic movements, until she's in the living room. That's her breaking point.

You immediately go to her, wrapping your arms around her without saying a word. This makes her sob harder.

"I can't live without you. Please no." Is all you hear over the sound of her breaking down.

"Alexia." You say, but she shakes her head.

"Alexia look at me." Again, it's no use.

"Ale please." She finally listens, looking up shaking as her lip wobbles.

"When I am gone, you will be sad yes but I trust you'll get over me. I trust you will be even better than you are now. You are the greatest woman I've ever met and you are the strongest. I will be with you here until the end and even when I'm not here physically..." You pause and touch her heart with your hand. "I'll always be with you here, remember that. And if heaven or the afterlife is real, I'll watch over you. I promise." You whisper resting your forehead against her own.

She whails into the evening, you cry along with her. Reality and the fear of death finally sinking deep into your bones. You will die. You can't be here forever.

The next day when training is supposed to be on is when you tell everyone at the club, sadness lingers in the air as you hug your friends. The ones who had become a new family for you. The young players like Salma and Vicky whom you'd baiscally 'adopted' when they joined the senior team. You consoled them along with Caroline (your best friend) the most. Those apart from Alexia being the ones you were always with.

It was decided a farewell dinner would be hosted. The last memories and last time to be with you.

Alexia wouldn't leave your side, you didn't want to leave hers either. The weight she'd carry on herself after this is too much for your own failing heart. You wanted to be with her for the rest of your life, and by that you meant grow old. Not die at 27.

The dinner was as much as anyone would expect it to be. Teary eyes and frowns painted on everyones face. The mourning had started before you left, and somehow that was even more painful.

Your will was mainly going to the football club, with no family left to give it to. Part of it went to investment in womens sports and some went to Alexia. You'd asked to be cremated, 1/3 of your ashes in the new Camp Nou, 1/3 of your ashes to be washed away by the heavy winds at the beach you loved so much, and a third to be with Alexia to do as she pleases. Whether to keep or give to people you held so close.

The end is near, it's relieving in a sense. That all this anxiety toward the date will just go. Everything for you will stop. But, you hate being the reason people are upset. All you'll leave is pain and anguish until one by one your friends heal. Alexia heals.

Today was the day, you're not sure how you know but you do. You wait with Alexia, remembering all good times. No words are said, she's trying to remember every detail in your face. Fearing the she'll forget you.

"Alexia." She takes a deep breath, nodding at you to continue.

"I love you, I love you in everyway possible. I love you in every universe. I love you to the moon and saturn. Never forget me, as I'll never forget you." You whisper, breath shaky as you feel yourself drifting away.

"I could never, forget you amor. You're safer wherever you are next. I love you. More than words could ever convey." Her voice breaks.

You don't want to leave her, why did it have to be like this?

She places her lips against yours one last time. Your eyes close, one last time.

really really shy at first (even now but less). he talked abt you before and his chat always asks him to invite you but he'll get shy and just change the subject. but you appeared on his live by accident one day. "hey jisung did you see my- oh...", "hum... guys this is y/n. my girlfriend." was very surprised by his viewers positive reactions and got more and more comfortable with you being around during his lives. even bought spare headphones for you. he mostly does reacts like tv reality shows or animes bc he loves watching those with you and even more on live. don't play a lot or when he does it's chill games bc he gets stressed easily. he loves playing Minecraft bc it's relaxing and also you love watching him playing it. also loves playing the sims 4 with bc it's a mess. hates when you makes him play horror games (but found himself having a bit of fun) whenever his viewers asks him to play a new game he just goes "nooo i want to play it with y/n" and pout. loves irl streaming when you go to the arcade. small attentions during streams like getting you snacks, making sure you're comfortable or caressing your tight (bc it's behind the camera) when you're getting anxious. has a lot of free time for you bc he doesn't stream a lot (like 3 times a week) but when he does it's long streams.

Gojo Satoru x Reader x Geto Suguru

Your arrival to the academy came as a surprise to many, apparently you were some transfer from overseas. You'd show a shit ton of promise that they transferred you to Jujutsu in order to more efficiently reach your true potential. Rumor was it, you'd one day make it as a Special Grade. Even so, for now you remained a Grade One.

Your Japanese was decent at best and your adaptation to their customs was a work-in-progress but you held this certain charm that just drew people in. And no, I'm not talking about the kind of charm where everyone falls in love. No, it's the type of charm that makes people relax around you, makes them want to put their faith in you no matter how much to try to prevent that.

You could be a fresh of spring just as you could be a fresh of icy air, the kind that freezes up your lungs.

The first time you saw them, you were being shown around by your mentor --- a stoic expression written on your scarred face as you nodded at them. Briefly acknowledging them as you continued on your way.

Geto had figured your eyes as beautiful --- like an eternal flame hidden behind layers of stone wettened under a stream of a freshwater. Whilst Gojo had figured you a possible new victim for his pranks and teases. In fact, Gojo even had the nerve to interrupt your tour. Demanding to know your name. Shoko, who had been hanging about, was glad another girl had joined the academy. Afterall, it was getting rather stuffy with all the testosterone.

They knew you'd get well with the duo when the first thing you did was insult Gojo, although both him and Geto didn't really understand your insult. Actually, they didn't even know you insulted him until Shoko just started laughing out loud.

You called him a phospholipid??? The actual fuck is that

At that, you gave them a deadpanned stare, speaking in broken japanese that at the very least he should get educated because he was obviously missing a few brain cells

Now at this, both Shoko and Geto bent over laughing while Gojo stood there momentarily stunned before a sinister smirk adorned his lips. He went to insult you back but was quite literally by the sight of your hand in his face, "No time for idiot. Bye."

The absolute nerve on you!

Geto absolutely loved you since that day. On the other hand, it was a enemies to whatever with Gojo, which is ironic considering that he sought you out every moment of the day.

You and Shoko became the best of girl-friends. To be honest, the two of you were incredibly similar. The both of you were lazy as hell, smart as hell, and blunt as hell. Although, you seemed to have mastered the trick of honeying your harsh words so much so that people didn't even fight you on it.

To put their friendship into perspective, Shoko brought the cigarettes and you brought the lighter (despite you being a non-smoker. Once you tried to smoke but you didn't like the taste of it so you left it at that)

Although there was a time Gojo was being a nuisance so you grabbed a cigarette from Shoko's carton, lit it, and blew the smoke straight into his face when he wasn't expecting it

Watching him double-over choking was a grand sight indeed

You managed to make quite the number of friends while there, although many noticed how you kept a distance. I say this literally. You never let anyone come physically close to you, as though a simple graze from them would kill you or something. No-one dare question it consider that they also had their traumas that prevented them from certain indulgences. But sometimes, you'd make small exceptions. I think it's mainly of a "dont touch me but I'll touch you" situation.

Like you don't mind swiping dust off of Nanami's shoulder, or neatening Shoko's hair when it's gotten all frizzy due to the wind, or picking off lint off of Yaga's clothes.

But if you didn't initiate it, you'd go silently rigid.

During class, you like hanging around this one guy name Yu. Mainly because he knew a bit of your native language (surprising I know) and so, you felt safe enough to speak with him considering that you both spoke brokenly in either tongue. The only other person you felt safe enough to speak was Geto. He was actually the one that took it upon himself to teach you Japanese.

He'd recommend shows to watch and he'd watch with you so that he could explains certain customs and what-not of his culture. He found great amusement when a scene he knew you wouldn't understand played and you'd instantly pause the show to look at him with a questioning expression. It made you look rather cute in his eyes.

Gojo would often times crash during these hang-outs. Pestering you to learn his language quicker so that he can properly cuss you out (he says this while having an arm over you shoulder and leaning his full weight into your side. Surprisingly, you never said anything despite your reservations to touching.)

You chalked it up to wanting warmth.

Then came that point in your language-education where Geto wanted you to try speaking in a public setting and you just about cried right in front of him and Gojo. You gripped your fist so tight your nails drew blood, an action to prevent you from clinging onto Geto's clothes as he scolded Gojo for worsening your nerves. Gojo didn't stop laughing until he saw actual tears in your eyes.

With silent chuckles, Gojo took you by the shoulders and guided you over to some random corner store. You never once told him what your favorite snack was but somehow he knew to choose it before placing it in your hand. He told you exactly what you needed to say to the cashier with the exact amount of yen needed.

The both of them watched as you walked up to the cashier, briefly glancing over your shoulder to Gojo (still very much teary-eyed and rigid-body), who silently mouth the words again, before doing as he instructed.

After the whole ordeal, you surprised Gojo with an incredibly rare hug. I think at that moment, you truly managed to snake your way into his soul.

Geto stood to the side, a knowing smile on his lips as he watched you quickly let go. Shouting at Gojo that he owes you a sweet because of how brave you were, which should've annoyed him but only made you look endearing.

(A/N): Have yet to see Season 2 but those fucking beta fish tiktoks are murdering me right now with their symbolism.

some fun facts about Luis and André Peña(his VA) Part Two: Electric Boogaloo

okay so i did one of these that was just from the Nick Apostolides streams(minus the Separate Ways DLC stream(s), THOUGH I DO WANNA WATCH THAT), but now i'm going through other videos of streams and finding out even more stuff that i wanna talk about lol sooooo... PART TWO BABEY

this all is from Twitch Streamer Peralt's charity stream for JDRF UK, in which André is a guest on! it's a fun watch, i recommend the whole video tbh, André gives out a lot of useful life and acting advice and the vibe is just lots of fun. but, these posts are primarily for stuff related to Luis, which is what i'll be cataloguing!

NOW WITH TIMESTAMPS BY REQUEST!

-André considers the role of Luis to be more than just voice acting, more of just full-on acting, since he also did his motion capture, which i find very interesting. i always love hearing the BTS processes of things i enjoy and that's such a cool fact. i'm sure most people know that he did mocap for Luis already, but I like that André doesn't consider his performance as Luis very different from a regular acting role. -André took the more cheerful aspects of Luis from his own personality. He mentions that he's a relatively happy person himself, but that happiness comes from knowing darkness, and that was just something that he kind of naturally transferred over to Luis, considering Luis's backstory itself is so dark. One of the first things that drew me to Luis in this game was his goofy behavior in a terrifying situation, so i'm thankful for it! (timestamp)

-André also gives a lot of interesting BTS with pointing out the differences in acting mocap vs stage vs onscreen acting. it's not related to Luis per se outside of his relation to André, but it is SUPER fascinating, and you can tell André is really passionate about acting and it makes me appreciate his performance all the more. I can't wait to see him in new roles! (timestamp)

-When asked if there was anything from OG Luis that André took with him as character inspiration/canonicity/whatever else, he mentioned that he tried to take mostly the essence of Rino Romano's voice and mannerisms, and tried to emulate all of that without it being in "bad taste"(in reference to OG Luis being kind of gross toward women), and kind of added more quirkiness as more of his own spin on it. personally i think he did a great job; Luis is still very much a flirt, but he comes across as less of a creep and more just a harmless flirty goofball, which i think threads the needle really well for him as a character! -(not related to Luis, but André is very adamant that the S in Leon S. Kennedy stands for Sancho, not Scott, which makes me giggle) (timestamp)

-André picked up smoking(again) for the role of Luis! it was also how he practiced Luis's lighter trick(which he clarifies is referred to as 'lighter juggling'); every time he'd have a cig, he made it so he had to do the tricks before he could light it. One of the tricks is called "the Infinity", where you flip the lighter through your fingers in a continuous motion, and there's one where you toss the lighter in the air, and close it as you catch it. He was a smoker growing up, he had stopped, he picked up the habit again for Luis, and then threw his cigs out the second he finished his final scene as Luis. He also clarifies NOT to smoke; he is able to start and stop smoking fairly easily, but that is not the case for most people. As a former smoker myself, i agree: if you dont already smoke, don't pick it up! don't pick up vaping either please!!! (timestamp)

-not related to Luis, but André talks a bit with Peralt(the streamer) about self-defense, martial arts, and alcohol. He tells a story about how he got jumped in a bar by a drunk guy and how his background in self-defense helped there, and talks about the effects of excess alcohol consumption. i keep repeating this, but the stream is a really good one, and i highly recommend watching it yourself! -Someone asked what André thinks about the Luis and Leon shipping, and I really like his answer. He starts off by clarifying that everyone is allowed to have their headcanons, and there's nothing wrong with shipping in general, and to ship whatever you like. However, for André himself, he used the model of how he and his brother interact for how Luis interacts with Leon. He likes to goad his brother, who he describes as "a hothead" and "like Leon", and so he transferred a lot of that energy into Luis goading and teasing Leon. He played Luis as realizing that he and Leon are stuck together, and he knows Leon won't do anything to really harm Luis, so he put a lot of energy into basically razzing him like one would a sibling. He also finished by once again clarifying that people are allowed to do whatever they want in their own headcanon lol. (some people do get really upset about that stuff!) (timestamp)

-as a quick aside to the above conversation, André mentions that Luis cares SO MUCH about Ashley. When it comes to Leon, Luis is, in André's own words, "a dick to him". Ashley, to Luis, is "pure" - the one thing in the entire scenario that has no business being in this place. With Leon, Luis knows from his uptight demeanor, that he's been through hell before - this guy is stuck with him, in hell, for better or worse. But Ashley is innocent, dragged into this to be a pawn of Saddler's. So he's most concerned with Ashley's safety overall, and André tried to really push that concern and care in his performance. i think it really shows, especially in the scene after the cabin standoff, where Ashley coughs up blood and Luis immediately realizes that she's been infected, and he has to save her. -During Luis' scene in the vanilla game with Ada(not Separate Ways scenes, although i think this scene is in the dlc too?), André confirms that Luis telling Ada "you should be telling me what a good job i did" is just him trying to make up an excuse of sorts for not having the Amber on him. Small detail, but one i like! (timestamp)

-André once more affirms that Luis is a cat person! He also specifically states, again, that he'd probably start off as not a pet person, but he'd probably get adopted by a stray cat, who he'd leave out food for but eventually let into his home, and that'd begin his love for cats. He also mentions that actors have to think about things like this, to flesh out their characters, which makes me wonder what other headcanons he has for Luis! (tbf tho, i've been wondering this since i watched André's unboxing of the Luis jacket he got commissioned for cosplay, and he mentioned that Luis loves spice) (timestamp)

-in the end, the stream raised a bit shy of 1k for the charity JDRF, which is super awesome!!!! i am several months late but congrats to Peralt's community for making that happen!!!

that was all i managed to find out about Luis specifically, but if i missed anything, feel free to add on in a comment! sometimes it's hard to hear with so many people talking and so much going on, but i'm enjoying learning about Luis outside of the game itself like this :D i'm planning on watching André's streams, the rest of Nick's streams, Nicole Tompkins'(Jill Valentine's VA) streams with André as a guest, and anymore i can find, so if i mind out more stuff about Luis from these vids, yall can expect more of these hahaha!

the thing that really helps me through these type of situations is sitting with myself and thinking okay, what's the most likely thing that's going to happen, and how am i going to feel about that.

to start with what i think will be the outcome, the only things we know for certain that are going to happen are caiti's final statement/stream, and george's final statement.

based on what caiti has said, her final stream is going to be more general, and i assume she's going to discuss the problems with misogyny within the mcyt space, or something similar, along with the future of her content. i do not think she will say anything more directly about the situation, and if she does i don't think it will be new information, except to maybe clear up the story ghostie told

for george's statement, judging by what the rational sides of the internet are calling for and his most recent tweet, i think he is going to give a sincere apology, no matter what form that may come in, along with some sort of private, personal apology to caiti that we may never see. some people will accept what he has to say, and others will continue to call him terrible names that do not fit the situation at all. and from there, we move onward (press w :3)

i can't predict how you're going to react to these events happening, but if a look at myself, i know that i'll probably watch caiti's stream as a vod, so i can give myself time to pause and take breaks. i want to try to watch the stream before seeing others input, so i can form my own opinions without going in feeling overly negative/positive.

worse case scenario- she says something that completely puts me off the space as a whole. i don't know what that would be, maybe just some observations she's made as a female creator in the space that puts a bad taste in my mouth, and i no longer feel comfortable being here at all. in that case, i disengage completely, or let myself sit and think on it for a bit before coming to a final decision

best case scenario (realistically)- caiti does her stream, and she talks about many of the things we already know about as problems with the space, and we take that as closure from the whole thing, and send our love and support.

when george's response comes, rinse and repeat. take the time to read/watch through it without the influence of others, and come to you own conclusion before looking what anyone else has to say. do not look at twitter. if you feel that his response is satisfying to you- however that may be- than assess how active you wish to be in the community going forward, what you want to spend your time doing online. and then we heal together, as a community.

and eventually, things will get better. dream and george might take hiatuses, but i find it very, very unlikely they'll quit entirely. eventually, we'll get titan videos and the plethora of shorts and content that dream has planned, even if a wrench has been thrown into the plans

obviously, we can never predict unexpected elements, but i genuinely believe that if something big were going to drop, it would have already. don't let the behind the scenes bullshit get you down, because it always comes from ccs who either hold grudges or are trying to save their own skin/get views

hi its the original cheetz animator anon again and SO SORRY for kicking off drama then dipping for days. however, this is gonna get LONG.

cheetz' entire work model screams offloading shit onto other people so they can produce as much as possible in the shortest amount of time.

Weekend maps (baby's first crunch culture), 200-part maps with 3 collabers on each one (literally 0 problem with collaboration and its very cool [even if its solely because of the insane crunch], but I'll get to why Im bringing it up), and TRAILERS for their maps to generate as much hype as possible for them. What these create is hundreds of videos about The New Cheeteh Z Map, thus boosting cheetz in the algorithm MASSIVELY.

To break it down, each of the 200 map part creators will post a video with the map title in it, pushing the topic out to as many people as possible. the trailer is there for the existing subs, making SURE they watch at the premiere and again putting the "X Cheeteh Z MAP" topic as smth that anyone who vaguely likes maps needs to watch Right Now. Premiere happens, everyone watches, maybe skims the part playlist, and subs to cheetz (or at least flags to yt that theyre interested in their vids). Because this happens every 3 weeks, it's a consistent stream of content running back to them. its the exact same content-farming dr**k did lmfaoo

The same thing happens to hype the animators for The Next Big Project in the server. I think it was hollyfawn that had a 10-day @/everyone spree with like? a scavenger hunt? to tease that the next project was coming, prepare to apply!!11! To add onto it, they literally dont even do the storyboarding themself. They recruit like 5 other people to do it and cheetz'll help out. This is why the visual language is as disjointed as it is, and no hate towards the board artists! Its just that everyone has different styles and cheetz isnt exactly there to unify it aside from some meaningless symbols (does anyone actually know what hawkstorm's wings mean. anyone?)

Now that we've dissected my perspective on cheetz' content creation style, I've done a wee bit of research on my end with the analytics of my vids.

DISCLAIMER: I am a smallish channel with a few hundred subs and I only upload once every couple months. in fact I'm in the process of divorcing myself from wc so its prolly gonna have a massive subdrop as soon as I upload original animations. I am also one person and have not corroborated my findings with any other animators. Part 2 of the disclaimer: Tigernoir was never finished. After the controversy and threats against the host+animators we agreed to call it off and unlist/priv/delete our parts.

The difference in analytics between my TN part and my other unrelated parts that have a fairly large amount of views within the same amount of time is Notable. This is based on the 4-day mark of each part being up (the numbers are accurate because these were recorded then, and not pulled up Now):

The unrelated part got 1.8k views by then, TN got 2.3k. the difference is the interactions though. By the 4-day mark, the unrelated part had 36k impressions, accessed thru the sidebar (a 5% watchrate), and TN had 10k impressions (23%), accessed mainly thru the playlist. TN had 4 comments by then, Unrelated had 12. Unrelated gained me 50 subs, TN gained 10.

Obviously 2 vids from one person can't be Concrete Evidence, so my theory for this is that people are just skimming through the playlist without actually Intending to watch the videos. With the algorithm, even though a smaller percentage clicked the video, the views clearly had their eye caught and chose to check it out. This meant the viewers were actually engaged with the content and chose to see what else the uploader had going. TN's part on the other hand was just kinda There and automatically watched, then likely skipped onto the next part when the process section began.

In all, the focus is not on the animator when it comes to a cheetz map from what I've noticed. It is quite literally All About Cheetz, and he doesnt do anything but PROMOTE that with their content creation style and how he interacted with the people that work for him. Downright disheartening, and this style becoming fairly mainstream + their fans mirroring it is a very large part why im packing my bags from the warriors animation scene. Once again, sorry abt the length! but that anon did drive me mildly berserk and I needed to delve a bit deeper into my stance.

all i can really say is that that sucks man. i'm glad you're trying to pursue something that makes you happy tho! i really hope you gain the traction you desire along your journey! ik all the animators on cheeteh z's maps are like super fantastic so like i can already imagine how good your content will be..

I forgot to say yesterday when I finished your lifesteal s4 playlist, but it was excellent!!! (And I’ve already watched a few more that were added after I caught up lol) I’ve followed a lot of them on twitch but was wondering and figured you would know, have there been any major events that haven’t been uploaded to YouTube yet? (feel free to infodump as much or as little as you want to, or to just point me towards relevant twitch VODs if that’s easier)

I'd say the second trial from the egg ARG (vods from 2/18 and 2/19), plus like... all of the princezam lore since late November 2022. however that's a LOT and i dont expect you to necessarily watch all that so I'll boil it down to princezam leaving team awesome (idk date here. late november), zam dying 14 times in a row (second zam stream on 1/10), the branzycraft stream part 3 (1/11), the sign writing portion of zam 2/8, the last half an hour or so of Subz 2/9, Zam 2/10 (he duels clown in this one), and. well. Comfort VOD. zam 2/12. theres a little preview of the events in Comfort on the planetlord stream from 2/10. OH YEAH ALSO SUBZ 1/5 FOR IMPORTANT LEVIATHAN STUFF

but yea the 2/8-2/9-2/10 vods I named are a very sweet zam and subz lore moment, and Comfort is the revelation of a new team, or something like it, at least

Garfield Logan x Reader

You were crawling. As fast as you could. Your legs were scratched up from all of the leaves, sticks and pinecones. You heard your mother cursing your name while tears streamed down your face. Your parents weren't the best, they never cared for you. To them you just existed for no reason. That was until you were captured by some mysterious man. He experimented on you for the longest until one day.

You were injected with multiple things and you were beaten if you made a single noise. You saw a tall man come in with a mask covering his eyes with a long dark cape. Robin. You watched him on tv before you were captured. He looked at you wide eyed. “Are you alright- thats a stupid question.. Can you walk?” You shook your head no with a wince of pain.

Just shaking your head hurts. You felt the ropes all around you loosen. You sighed and soon you felt him scoop you up. You later woke up in a hospital room and No one was there besides you. Not even your parents.

Suddenly a nurse came in. “Oh you're awake!! Lovely, how are you feeling hun?”. “Alright I have a massive headache though” You said while you rubbed your head with against the pillow. “Ahh I see, I'll bring you some pain killers soon. But honey we need to talk..” she looked at her clipboard and gave a sad look and sighed. “You've had a long list of injuries and you were injected with a lot of liquids… we don't exactly know what they are but we tried our best! And at least you're conscious.. However there are some other issues. Your spine has been beyond repair. We can't do anything more we dont think you'll ever be able to bend over or twist a certain way.. We also aren't sure if you'll be able to walk again but good news!! Your arms and wrists will be just fine.”

After a month under urgent care nothing changed and the doctors saw no hope in you. Your parents finally came to get you after so long.. Nog even a single visit. They said nothing to you at all. They just see you as a weak twig who needs everything done for yourself.

Time skip 3 months later

Your parents eventually got fed up with you and they just threw you out into the woods. Screaming at you cursing your name. After a while you were lost and you just laid there on the ground ready to die there all alone. Would you die from the infections in your scars? Starve? Dehydration? You laughed knowing your Mom was right that you would die all alone.

Suddenly you heard leaves cracking then a roar. “Oh fuck me why is a tiger in the woods?! Of course I'd get eaten alive.” you thought to yourself. You turn your head and you see a green tiger. Its bones started cracking and it eventually became a boy. You tried screaming but you couldn't it just wouldn't come out.

“Woah woah calm down i won't hurt you!! Holy shit your bodys fucked up!! Hey hey wait, I can get you help. I promise I won't bite. They are good people who come here” They green haired boy approached you and picked you up. “I know a doctor, an amazing one. I promise he can help.” He picked you up and began running.

Soon later he was banging on a door to a huge house. “Rita!! Larry!!? Oh come on Chief!! Please open” Soon a beautiful woman slung the door open “Gar if you don't- Woah i- who is she what happened??!” She opened the door more “Your lucky He’s Here”

Soon you were brought to a room with a man. “I wasn't expecting you… Why is she even here?? You could've followed Gar!!!” He began screaming at the green haired boy. “I wasn't! I swear look you can help her right?Please help her” He looked worried. Why was he so worried for you? You haven't even spoken a word. You don't know him nor anyone else in the room.

“Of course I can help her, I'm nothing but one of the best doctors in the world.. I'll help her but after that she's out.. Eating these will make you sleep for a few hours and you dont wanna be awake during these procedures” You nodded and ate the pills and immediately fell asleep.

You woke up and you could actually feel your limbs. You wiggled your fingers in amazement you could sit up and turn any way you wanted. You squealed in excitement. You looked over and you saw The green haired boy look up from his mini game boy. “You're awake!! What's up! How you feelin?” He jumped up to your side. “Also I'm Garfield Logan!! You can call me Gar though” He said with a big smile.

You laughed a little but then winced in pain. You were still a little sore but for the most part okay. “Woah woah be careful you still have to heal up but then you'll be good as new! Chiefs an amazing doctor”

“Oh I see.. Well um im feeling a little sore but i can manage. I'm Y/N By the way Nice to meet you Gar! Uh thanks for you know saving me out there” You held out your hand. Gar shook it. “Yeah of course! I couldn't just leave you there” He had a big smile on his face. You didn't know him but you could definitely get used to having him around.

Chapter 14

Note: I don't want to sound needy or anything but some feedback would be awesome. "You're A super talented genius" "Your writing is transcendent" "You write like a 3rd grader" "Dont give up your day job" just be nice when you tell me how bad it sucks.

Warnings: Swearing, angst

When Friday woke up from her nap it was almost dark outside. She rubbed her sore eyes and groaned, hearing Nat puttering around in the kitchen. Friday got up to use the bathroom and splash some cold water on her face.

She slowly wandered out to the kitchen "Nat, you don't have to cook. I'm not really hungry. You can go home, I'll be alright"

Nat scoffed "What kind of girlfriend would I be if I left you all alone after the day you've had? I cleared my schedule for tomorrow and Wanda is on her way over with a basket full of edible treats and dark chocolate. I'm making tacos and you can have a margarita or two. We can watch some stupid movies, or stand up if you want. Eddie Izzard has a new special, I know you like him. We can paint our nails or braid our hair and talk trash about men in general."

Friday shook her head "I'm really not up for socializing, Nat. I'll try to eat a little but I want to go back to bed."

Nat chuckled "You say that like I was asking. Plans are made, food is cooking and Wanda is already on the road. We aren't leaving you alone again moya lyubov. Maybe if you're good I'll help you with some stress relief. After Wanda falls asleep."

Friday blushed "Won't your new beau mind? It's been forever since we-" she leaned into Nat and started to kiss her when Wanda texted Nat that she was around the corner. Friday moaned into the kiss but they both pulled away when Nats phone dinged.

Nat smiled "What Steve doesn't know won't hurt him and we aren't exclusive yet."

Friday smirked "Wanda already does know but you always insist on waiting till she falls asleep. You woke her up last time."

Nat blushed "It's not my fault you have such a wicked tongue. I know she knows, I know, I just don't want her to feel left out."

Friday laughed "Why should she, she has Vis and once told me she thinks we're both hot af but girls just aren't her thing."

Nat smiled "I know, I was there when she said it, you were just too baked to remember. It's just, you and I have known each other longer, have been lovers, are both perpetually single and she was already married and pregnant when they bought their house here. Sometimes I catch her looking at us a little, wistfully, I guess. Now lets go help her bring her stuff in."

They went outside and greeted Wanda with hugs and kisses. When they had everything organized they sat in the living room to eat and watch Eddie Izzards new special. The first time he had them all laughing, they remembered why frozen drinks and stand up comedy are not a good combination so they paused the show, put some music on and chatted while they ate.

They all avoided mentioning Bucky and Brock, trying to keep it light. Friday made Nat spill about her and Steve, Wanda gushed about her boys, Friday told Wanda about the new horses and promised to take Wanda out to meet them in the morning. She remembered Hilde and Becca and a flash of hurt crossed her face but she wiped it away.

The three of them hadn't had any real time together since before Brock and they all needed the time to unwind. They finished Eddie Izzard and another comedy special that prime recommend before Wanda started to doze off. Friday sent her to bed and told her to get comfortable while they cleaned up the mess.

After the kitchen was cleaned up Nat and Friday headed down the hall to her bedroom until Nat pulled her past the door to the spare room. The only light in the room streamed through the blinds from the moon, Friday admired Nat ivory skin and red hair.

Nat found Friday's hands and pulled her closer "I've missed you, moya lyubov. So much but are you sure you're ready for this? I don't want to upset or scare you." Nat reached up and threaded her fingers into Friday's hair, pulling her down to Nats level. "Can I kiss you? Can I taste you, moya lyubov?"

Friday whispered "Yes, please, my sweet Natalia." and leaned down with her mouth partially open, tongue darting down to her lower lip.

Like it always did with them, it started soft, gentle, searching, asking and answering but didn't take long to become hungry, passionate. Until Friday pulled away, eyes filled with tears.

Friday looked at Nat sadly, then down at her own hands. "I'm so sorry, I just, I can't."

Nat shushed her "No apologies, remember. I'm always here. Let's get to bed before Wanda takes up the whole thing" she lead Friday into her bedroom and they cuddled up together, Friday's head on Nats chest and their legs tangled together. Nat rubbed her back until they both fell asleep.

Bucky sat in the dark and drank while love songs filled the air, songs to slit your wrist by. He had sobbed for a long while but was out of tears. Now he was just sitting in the dark, almost finished with his bottle of scotch. He had lost track of the time and didn't much care in his drunken haze. He tried to stay awake because his dreams were full of explosions and hospitals then faded into Friday yelling in pain and crying as Brock defiled her until they ended with the look on her face as he tore into her yesterday but he was too wrung and kept nodding off. He jolted awake, preferring the replayed memories of losing his arm to Friday's tear covered face that he caused. When he woke enough to work out where he was he tried to grab the bottle of scotch to finish it off and when it was empty he threw it at the wall.

Buckys stomach was already sour but that last gulp of scotch pushed it over the edge and he felt the wretch but couldn't get up so sat and emptied his stomach onto himself then passed out.

The slam of the front door startled Bucky out of his fugue and the sunlight on his face hurt. He tried to cover his eyes with his arm but it was covered in his own puke, the smell turning his stomach again making him heave.

Steve looked down at Bucky and shook his head "What did you do to yourself, punk?"

Bucky mumbled incoherently and Steve rolled his eyes then turned to Sam "come on, lets get him to the shower"

Sam pinched his nose "Do I have to touch him? Why don't we just drag him outside in the chair and hose his foul ass down." He turned to look at Bucky "Fuck, Barnes. You're lucky you were sitting and not laying down, you'd have drowned in your own vomit"

Bucky heaved again but there was nothing left to throw up.

Steve patted his face "Alright asshole, lets get you cleaned up. You're lucky I love your dumb ass. I'd leave you to soak in it."

Sam smirked "What if I don't love him? He didn't protect me from bullies when I was a kid. He made his own damn bed."

Steve gave Sam his disappointed dad look and Sam sighed "I kinda hate both of you right now. Come on princess, lets get your dumb ass cleaned up."

Buckys friends pushed him in the chair to the guest bath since it was the closest shower, sat Bucky down on the shower floor and turned the cold water on.

Bucky woke up sputtering at the cold "What the? Who? Steve god dammit, you ruined my suit"

Steve and Sam both laughed and Sam told him "I'm pretty sure your toxic puke did that before we got here. You'll just have to write this one off."

Bucky grabbed his head "toxic puke? What the hell happened last night?"

Steve shook his head "You'll probably wish you didn't know but you blew it with the woman of your dreams and apparently tried to drink your weight in scotch"

Bucky rubbed his face "Woman of my dr-. Oh fuck! I did, didn't I. Jesus I'm an asshole. She's probably better off without me, obviously I can't be the man that she needs"

Sam shook his head and sighed "I never took you for a quitter, man but you're right. I'm sure she could do better. Easier to make excuses and give up than try to be that man for her. I'm sure all your girls have missed you. One woman is just as good as any other, right?"

Bucky shook his head, then groaned when his headache spiked "I used to think that but I know better now. No woman will ever be as good and that's why she deserves better than me."

Steve looked at Bucky pointedly "I'm glad you didn't give up so easy when your jeep hit that ied but I guess you're not as strong as we thought. Lemme grab you another bottle before I go."

Bucky pulled off his suit and cleaned himself up before turning the water off and wrapping a towel around his waist "I know what you're trying to do Steve but this isn't about fear or running away, it's about loving someone enough to let them go"

Steve laughed "You're so full of shit I'm surprised your eyes aren't brown. This is ALL about fear. Its easier to run away and hide your feelings into random pussy than to be a man, apologize and try to make things right.

Steve left the room.

Bucky looked at Sam "His dreams? Who is he talking about?"

Sam laughed "Beats me but considering how quickly he knew about your fuck up yesterday, I'm guessing a red haired ballerina has worked her way under his skin"

Buckys brow furrowed "Fridays friend? She was there when I saw Friday yesterday. That would explain a lot, actually."

They sat silently for a few minutes until Bucky picked his head up "What do I do, Sammy? How do I fix this?"

Sam sighed "I don't know, man. You really know how to fuck things up on an epic level. You spent all that time with her so know her better than I do. What might make her feel better?"

Bucky groaned "I don't know, we never talked about relationship stuff. I'll send some flowers, girls always like that. Maybe some jewelry." He grabbed his phone to the florist he has saved and set up a delivery of a huge bouquet of pink roses and lillies as they were good apology flowers. Then he called his jeweler and had a pair of diamond stud earrings with a matching tennis bracelet sent.

He saw the calls and texts from his mother and from Becca but he just sent a quick text to his mother, asking her to keep Becca another night and ignored the rest.

Sam shook his head "She doesn't seem the jewelry type to me, more the sincere and heartfelt apology kind of girl but good luck."

Bucky grinned "I've been dealing with angry and hurt women a lot more than you have, I think I can handle an apology"

"While I'm glad your self esteem is good, I don't think you should treat the woman of your dreams like you treat all your other girls but..." Sam shrugged

Bucky smirked "Trust me, I know what I'm doing."

When Friday woke up she was sandwiched tightly between Wanda and Nat in a tangle of limbs. Having her friends close was comforting but she really needed to pee. She tried to extricate herself without waking the others but every time she moved a limb clear, it wandered right back where it started.

She cleared her throat "Wanda? Natty? I need to get up and use the bathroom. Y'all need to let me go."

There was mumbling from both women that turned into snoring. Friday sighed, she really hoped it wouldn't come to this but she had no choice and started tickling Wanda along her side, until Wanda slapped her in the face. Friday laughed and shoved Wanda off of the bed before dashing over to the bathroom before Wanda could start complaining.

When Friday came out of the bathroom Wanda was sitting on the side of the bed grumbling. Friday beamed at her and started getting dressed to go feed, patting Wanda on the head as she passed.

Friday made it to the barn before she realized what she was doing and froze for a minute, looking around. The house seemed so far away and she felt exposed and threatened. She closed her eyes and shook her head, she was tired of letting her fear run her life. She opened her eyes and headed into the barn but when she walked in the bad feelings returned and she felt trapped. Friday wanted to go back to the house but it was too far and she felt the panic attack coming on so she ducked into Destrys stall and hid in the corner, crying.

Peter and MJ showed up a little while later and didn't realize Friday was there until they got to Destrys stall. She was curled up in the corner with tears still running down her cheeks. Destry was rubbing his head on hers until he heard them coming and turned towards them as though he was standing guard over Friday.

Peter saw her first and noted her red eyes so spoke to her gently "Hey boss. It's good to see you out here. You ok?"

Friday shook her head "I, I don't know how I got out here but I can't go back. Nat is in the house, can you call her please?"

Peter nodded but saw Nat coming before he could grab his phone. He jerked his head towards Friday and opened the stall door for Nat.

Nat went in, let Destry know it was ok and talked Friday down until she was able to get her up and walking back to the house.

"Come on love. Let's get you some food."

As they walked up to the door Nat saw a florist truck out front and left Friday on the porch for a moment to help them. She came back with the flowers that Bucky sent. They were a bit much but Nat figured he had a lot to make up for.

"Apparently Barnes sent these. Do you want me to throw them away."

Friday scoffed "He's an idiot if he thinks this will make up for yesterday but its not the flowers fault, just bring them in."

Nat cleared her throat "They came with this box" and handed Friday a long and narrow jewelry box.

Friday looked at it skeptically, her eyes going wide when she saw the jewelry inside. She shook her head "Beautiful but not me. He must have called for his I'm sorry special. With all his girls he probably gets a discount." She handed the box to Nat "Can you give this to Steve to return to him?" Nat nodded.

A few hours later, when Steve showed up after stopping by Fridays to see Nat for a minute he handed the box to Bucky and he lost it.

Looking at Steve with the box in his hand he yelled "Goddammit!! What did I tell you? Fucking! Ungrateful!"

And slammed the box down on the counter. "I'm going over there to talk to her, she can't just-"

Steve cut him off "She can and she did. How could you be dumb enough to send her the same shit you send your girls when you miss a date? She's not like them. You better learn that before it's too late. I don't think she is going to be into expensive gifts and she's strong enough to know she doesn't need a man who doesn't get her. Try harder"

Bucky scowled at him "I'm Bucky fucking Barnes I don't have to try. Women come to me and beg to come back."

Steve just laughed "Not this one. You better change up tactics before she's finished with you. If it's not too late already. And calm your ass down if you want to talk to her."

Bucky groaned "I've never done so much for a woman only to be rejected like this. I don't know what to do."

He went to grab a fresh bottle of scotch out and took a swig straight from the bottle.

Steve grabbed it before it got to Buckys mouth. "You won't find your answer in there, jerk. Your ego is what got you into this mess and you'll need to push it down if you want to find a way out."

Bucky looked up at his best friend since childhood "So what do I do?"

Nat and Wanda went home after lunch so Friday sat alone in her house with Alpine purring in her lap, looking at the huge bouquet of flowers and trying to figure it out. They were beautiful but felt hollow. She would have much preferred Bucky to come in person with a real apology but as the day waned that seemed more and more unlikely. It wouldn't have absolved him right away but would have been better than his gross displays of wealth. All the time they spent together and he still knew nothing about her, nothing real. She had started to think maybe there could be something between them but after the way he yelled at her and then sent expensive stuff in an attempt to appease her made Friday wonder if he had been listening to her or if he was just trying to get in her pants after all.

She sighed, ate an edible and forced herself to go outside and sit on the porch. She chatted with some of the riders and their parents as they were leaving.

When Peter and MJ came up to say goodnight ahe asked "Has Becca been here at all?"

Peter looked down "No, that's 2 days. I didn't think Barnes would be able to keep her away from Hilde."

Friday nodded, "Me either but we had a bit of a falling out so I don't know when they will be back. Make sure you take Hilde out for some exercise if Becca doesn't make it tomorrow."

Peter's brow furrowed "Falling out? Sounded much worse than that when I spoke to Nat. Don't worry, we'll take care of Hilde."

"Yeah, it wasn't great. Probably for the best. You kids go home and relax. I'll see you tomorrow." Friday waved them off and went inside to find something to eat. While she ate she played on her phone and thought about contacting Bucky. She decided that he must not really be interested if he sent a gift that he should know wouldn't impress her and didn't even bother trying to speak with her directly.

Friday was a little sad that he hadn't tried harder but it convinced her that he either wasn't very sorry or really interested in her. Like she told Peter, it's probably for the best.

I. I dont know how to cope. This seems fake still. It feels like if I come onto social media it's just all mourning and I can't bc its jsut a reminder that he's gone. I dont know what to do. This is the first big loss I've experienced, I dont know how to cope.

I know he lived a good life, a happy one. And I'm happy for him. But like. I just. Dont know. Its suffocating. I just want to curl up into a ball and cry about it, but I also want to forget.

I'll get distracted and feel fine and then I'll remember and feel guilty for being happy and fuck dude I just. I dont know what to do. Writing things out like this helps a bit, the pinned post on my blog helped, writing that out was helpful. But I'm at a loss. How are you coping at all? i’ve only dealt with one major loss in my life before this one and it was last year, so i’m still very much still learning about grief and how to deal with it. i honestly don’t think it’s ever something you can prepare yourself for, not fully, so just know that feeling overwhelmed or unequipped or at a loss is completely fine and i feel you

in terms of coping, i think really allowing myself time to just sit and do nothing except think about him and cry my eyes out has helped. if you haven’t watched phil’s stream from yesterday, i seriously recommend it. it’s just music and minecraft, so it was less overwhelming than trying to watch clips or videos for me. i was crying for six hours after i heard the news… i cried for another hour when i woke up this morning. it’s okay to do nothing except curl up and cry and feel bad. it’s difficult and horrible and it’s okay to just sit with that feeling. give yourself time. distractions can be wonderful, but don’t force yourself into them, don’t force forgetting or moving on if you don’t feel ready for that

additionally, understand that feelings don’t have to be mutually exclusive to one another, if that makes sense. you’re allowed to feel happy just as much as you’re allowed to feel sad, and you’re allowed to feel all of it all at once too. you’re allowed to laugh and cry at the same time

for me? …the clips hurt a lot too. the vods hurt a lot. the pictures and the memories hurt a lot. they make me cry and they make my chest clench up but i keep on watching them because i know that i need to feel that horrible horrible feeling in order to process that any of this is real. even still, i can hardly believe it. mostly though, i know that above all else, techno has been a massive source of joy and comfort and inspiration in my life, and i need those clips to remind me of that. i need to remember what he means to me while i grieve, so i can preserve the joy of these memories. i’ve sort of been inspired by him even in my grieving, that immovable object mindset of his… i refuse to let this ruin the positive impact he’s had on me. i refuse to let my grief outweigh my love, no matter how awful and overwhelming it is…. does that make sense?

i’m really good at pretending that i understand my feelings more than i do, and i’m sort of eloquent, so i might come across as coping better than i actually am. but you’re not alone in this, nonnie, i feel just as hollowed out and overwhelmed and it’s all so so suffocating, but reminding myself that it’s okay to feel like that has really been the main thing that’s kept me going.

Restocking the Buffet: Of Reporter Cats, More WBD Tomfoolery and Karate Kids

Hello all you happy people. So i've tried multiple times to find a consitent format to talk about stuff that's not this blogs normal structure (i.e. reviews of various media), trying to do just updates for the blog , smaller movie reviews, all kinds of things.

So instead i'm reintroducing restocking the buffet, what was intended to be how I did updates, but now is that plus whatever's on my head, as the shockingly massive popularity of my post railing against Warner Brothers discovery made me realize a lot of you LIKE my ranty stream of concious thoughts and opinons so there they are. Some are angry, some are less so, and some are just plain confused.. and starting off with the latter..

Warner Bros Discovery II: The Search for More Money WBD has thankfully been mostly quite these past few weeks, which is good. I barely can manage the stress of having anxiety and depression, I don't need a large major corporation essentially poking me with a stick and saying "Is this making it worse, is this making it worse, is this making it worse?".

There's still some news on that front. For starters their CFO was quoted in an article saying he really dosen't care about exclusivity just what makes them money.

With WBD having let Amazon stream The LOTR films in time for the Rings of Power which I dont' really care about. Do like the Peter Jackson OG Trilogy though, watched the second two in theaters and feel their excellent, still gotta read the books.

And honestly... it's the only time since the merger WBD has made sense in a way that dosen't make me want to shirtlessly chop down a tree to sooth my shattered Soul Ala Bill Murray. See he kinda has a point about JUST keeping a property or film to your service that isn't an original from said service just to make people buy the service. Sure i'm sure some people would've tuned into HBO Max just to watch the movies for it, but most fans that hardcore would just buy the films somewhere already or likely already have all the editions for these films and the animated films and know all the words to "Where there's a whip there's a way". There's no harm in letting two services hold the ring of power. Granted I do feel this is in part because WBD is run SOLEY on profit and not artistic integrity of any way shape or form, so it could be troublesome down the line, but two services having the same film dosen't really hurt them and hasn't. Hulu and HBO Max and Disney+ have shared films due to lingering lisecnding deals, but people will likely just watch the film on what they have avaliable. So I support this philosphy, I just want it in the hands of people who aren't using it to try and justify scraping content off the platform to have more money to swim in.

That said there was something horrible I found out as turns out there was a cameo for a kid with a fatal disease in Batgirl... whose parents now want her to be able to see it. Just when I thought it couldn't be worse.. jesus. Not much more to say but anything I can do to shame WBD more helps.

We also have the news that the Batman: Caped Crusader is getting shopped around. Sadly unlike Kevin Smith excellently suggested, Disney seems uintrested, but I did see this coming: Disney dosen't want brand confusion and also dosen't quite need it: They have a superhero show every few months, and almost every marvel cartoon ever, including two i'll talk about in a moment. That said the other names in the fight are interesting: Netflix, Amazon and Apple TV+. ANY of them would be able to give it a good home: Netflix is killing it in mature action animatoin and thus Batman would be right home, Amazon likewise, and Apple TV+ has exactly two animated properties (Central Park and the various Peanuts things) of note, so they could use this. And all of them still give WBD a fine and hardy fuck you, so i'm fine

FInally we have rumblings that Comcast may buy WBD. I'm. .iffy on it. Part of it is that one of their branches, Universal has been excessively shitty lately when it comes to YouTube and a certain channel (more on that later). Another is we really don't need more corpprate mega mergers. That said if it dosen't happen while i'm not thrilled about it, ti's still obviously better than the alternative and Peacock is finding it's footing, doing more day in date releases or next day releases than ever for it's tv shows, and is honestly doing better at the day and date streaming than HBO did, actually asking creators as far as I can tell with most seeming to be their decision or have their consent (If i'm wrong or missed one feel free to tell me) and while I still FULLY love and support seeing films theatrically, Streaming does make it easier to see some. Peacock also hasn't abandoned the 45 day window, which WBD did. I'm also okay with it if it happens as frankly at this point Discovery is selling warner for parts. The biggest danger of one of these mergers, as i've realized afte rsomeone called the disney fox merger and I realized, x-men getting to go to the mcu aside, they were right, is that a lot of projects might get canceled and reboots put in cryo. But given the current owner is canceling thigns, making shows unavaliable and generally being a dick, it's really no diffrent except those properties will likely come out of the box and they'll at least let full movies and stuff you know.. get released instead of trying to write it off for taxes. I don't WANT this merger, but it's sad when another megacorp rising is somehow a good alternative.

Disney+ Gets MOST of the Spider-Man!

Moving on from something infurating, we have some good suprising news; Spectacular Spider-Man and Spider-Man: The New Animated Series are coming to Disney+ in october!

This is also one of the omissions from the service that made some sense instead of just Disney going can't make me dont' wanna: Sony owned the rights to these two, and thus tried keeping them to Crackle and other services, and recently put Spectacular on netflix, likely as part of the two being friends now. Which is fine by me as it means I can watch Bullet Train again over and over when it comes to the service and watch the Invitation when it comes out and Watch Morbius out of morbid curosity without having to pay extra money to say keep Starz or buy a dvd that would curse my house. I'm happy to realize this deal exists even if finding it out via a failed vampire movie starring a Cult leader was the weridest way I coulda.

As for why this is a big deal it means that Disney+ is now ONE series away from having all the animated spider-man shows under one roof, two from having all of them (three if you count electric company, but I could see them just getting the rights to put just the spidey skits on there). The 60's and live action series are both missing for whatever reason. I geinely do not know, though I assume with the former it's the same kind of weird type of rights hurdles that have kept the 87 turtles from streaming (Which is frustrating if say, you've only saw a few episodes and would like to watch the one turtles series you haven't seen a good chunk of without paying money to own the series as you already own some of the dvds (Ponits to self).

I never honestly expected either series to come to D+, but i'm excited they are. Only season 1 of spectacular is, but I highly doubt it'll just one one for long and it could be a misprint for all we know.

So breaking both down for the unintiated: Spectacular is one of my faviorite superhero shows period. Granted I procastinate on those a LOT (as evidenced by the fact i'm horribly behind on doom patrol and haven't watched the much loved Harely Quinn), but it's still a classic to the genre, a clever reinvention of spidey's career that manages to take the same concept of pre-miles ultimate spidey (telling peter's early career with a modern bent) and do it even better, taking a page from the 616 and the Ultimate universe to craft something intresting well thought out and sadly short lived. It's also where Gwen Stacey being into science, something ASM codified and has kept with the character since, came from. I intend to fully review it someday, either as a season or in the various arcs wiseman cleverly packed in to make it easier to put on dvd. Check it out. It's a short binge and a worthy one. I also find it enjoyable two of Greg Weisman's two season classics (in gargoyles case one I need to see badly and yes there's a third but he wasn't involved so ... yeah two seasons), are on the same platform. Maybe we can get Gargoyles Meet the Spectacular Spider-Man Marvel? Eh Eh?

The New Animated series i'm less familiar with, having watched it once or twice when i'm younger, but is intresting enough that I want to check it out. NAS was based directly on the first Rami Film, being a sequel to it that takes it's own path.. and also actually turns Curt Conners into the lizard. Fancy that. Being the only spidey property based on one of the film series for now makes it something unique, a time capusle for the character and something fun to check out. It also has NPH as Peter, a great choice.

All this gives me the idea for a possible spider-man month at some point as he has tons of shows (and of course comics). Let me know if you think that's a good idea. I'd love to do it!

Real Dead Meat So we pivot next from some really good news to something that's been consitently frustrating, heartbreaking and obonoxious.

So as i've made no secret of i'm a huge fan of the Horror Review Channe Dead Meat. I've used their gifs..

And ocasionally used one or two of James catchphrases as a refrence.

In case your curious Dead Meat is a channel that has two primary series: The flagship Kill Count where the energetic, joyful and snarky James A Janeese breaks down a film, giving us analysis, cool behind the scenes information on the film, and lots and lots of jokes. It's sister show is the Dead Meat Podcast, where James and his Wife Chelsea (who runs said podcast) discuss horror films or subjects pertaning to the genre. Both shows are excellent and worth seeking out and some of my faviorite things to unwind to. I can't tell you how much i've watched certain kill counts. The counts ar einformative while still doing what the title says, and since his return from a hiatus (having his editor and now co-writer Zoran take over to review tremors and Chelsea also getting a shot with the american psycho films), has stepped it up in even the counting, with comparisons to other films that have been counted, the franchise and other fun stuff.

So naturally I was really amped when James decided to revisit one of my faviorite horror franchises and one he loves and appricates as much as I do Child's Play. James has as of last year (which is also when I found the channel ironically enough as I assumed it was just litterally counting kills. I feel bad I ddin't realize it wasn't sooner as I was missing something dope) started Re-Counting films he did in the first year or so of the series, as the early reviews didn't have the behind the scenes stuff or as much analysis of the films themselves, and he wants these films to get the proper treatment, Especailly Chucky and the due to be re-counted Scream as their two of his faviorites (and as we've established two of mine).

After the first two though thigns went from great, getting two counts a week... to REALLY fucking frustrating and horrible. As almost anyone who watches a content creator or has been one on youtube can tell you their copyright system sucks dirty ass in thunderstorms, being VERY slanted towards corprate intrests and making it a nightmare to run up that hill run up that building to refute claims. MAKING A CLAIM, is childlishly easy and more oftne than not automated. Fighting them can take weeks, and if their claimed it means no revune till it's resolved if it can be.

EVERY Child's Play and Chucky Film since has been claimed like this by the dickheads over at Universal. It's extra baffling because they parntnered with Shout Factory's Scream Factory imprint to do cool fancy new blu rays/4ks of Childs Play 2 and 3 and sent James those early so he could use them for the re-counts... and despite being endorsed iwth review copies this STILL fucking happens. Said counts are there to hype up Season 2 of Chucky, to ACTIVELY PROMOTE THESE FILMS NOT REPLACE THEM, and even when he dosen't like a film like CHild's Play 3 he still credits the good parts. Hell having the behind the scenes bits from the dvd means more people might buy these new versions.

The reason I feel the need to rant about this as thanks to twitter i've had to watch two creators I enjoy who as far as I can tell are some of the nicest people on the interent feel defeated and beaten down by a company whose bullying them for free promotion. And i'm not saying go scream at universal: as james himself said it's a big company: one hand likely dosen't know what the other is doing, to the point two diffrent hands made copyrights on some of the counts.

But I do want people to know about this, to watch these counts as they come out so their work pays off (You can find it just by googling dead meat), to help promote them since doing so for something they geninely love has caused them a lot of pain, and to get my rage out about this as it's likely going to be something James has to grapple with till the recounts are finished. It's not going to get much easier, so i'd like to send my best to a man who has done nothing but try to make people laugh, get them informed and hang off the bars in his new professionaly made set like a monkey, his just as warm and talented wife, and the whole dead meat crew. I'm sorry you guys have to put up with that. If your looking for a count to start with i'd recommend the Child's Play recount, which keeps a few jokes but mostly has a ton of great brand new jokes and content highly praising one of my faviorite horror films.

Breaking Cat News

Finally I just wanted to gush about something else I like that isn't getting clubbed over the head: Breaking Cat News

BCN is a brilliant, decently long running and now as of the last few years Syndicated strip by Georgia Dunn, part of a wave in the last few years of brilliant new strips like Crabgrass and Rosebuds. I thought once in a while I could just spotlight what i'm reading righ tnow to help more people read it and full review it later.

As you can see BCN follows three (later 4 cats) who live in an apartment in a big pink house and report on the things that really matter like strange company, the leaves trying to kill us all every year, fuzzy new toilet covres making a great cat bed, horrible new cat food that's good for you, and that strange cat outside who won't go away, and MANY more.

It follows three good boys: Elvis, a cranky old siamese who flies into rages at the drop of a toy mousey, Puck, a kind, gentle good boy who while scared of company is the voice of reason of the trio, and Elvis, a white cat who can blend in with his surroundings and frequently runs around and breaks things and acts like h'es in the middle of a sugar high 80% of the time. They live in said house with The Woman, a kind and somewhat anxious nerd based on Georgia herself, The Man, an often annoyed by his cat children and somewhat snarky but still deeply kind and lovable husband to the Woman, and the boy and girl, the couple's children who the cats are ocasionally annoyed by but just as much doted on, especially by elvis who seems himself as more of a dad ot them than their actual dad. As you can tell the comic is mostly autobigoraphical, following various real incidents through our heroes eyes.

That isn't to say the world isn't deep as Dunn also incorpeates her upstairs neighbor, her best friend, and their various pets into the mix, giving the strip a decent sized continiutya nd a wide bench of supporting characters: We have Sir Figaro and Tabitha, the two spanish language reporters who live above our heroes, Tommy, a cat who at first annoys our heroes (patciually elvis) by showing up outside their window but later becomes their field reporter, Sophie, Tom's shyer artistic roomate, Beatrix, a cute kitten and former intern to the group living at a bookstore and serving as their fact checker and social media gal, Bert, the sometimes stoic patient barn cat who does their av, Baba Mouse, a cranky but wise old barn cat, The Robber Mice, a girl gang of Rodents, and most recently and adorably Goldie, a stray who heartbreakingly was simply left out by her family who moved without her and clearly didn't treat her well (As I found out recently 3/4 of the cats are rescues with Puck having had to be taken from his owner by a well meaning neighbor lest a leg infection kill him (and thus only having three legs, a detail i'm shocked I never noticed until it was pointed out to me) and Elvis being kept in a closet, catching a fever and sadi fever leaving him deaf. She quickly adapts, is warmly adopted and after a while becomes the station's investgative reporter. It's a fun, wonderful strip and I highly recommend it. Read it and thanks for reading this

But Luke was also a veteran and a championship fighter. He had to answer in a way that wouldn't tarnish that reputation.

"Jam what the fuck?" Prince asked aloud to himself as the highlighted message popped up on the screen. He'd been in servers with mjam before and knew they had a way of not minding their own business, but the blatant attempts at matchmaker were a whole new level that had been going on for a few months now. Prince wasn't sure what was worse- that they might succeed, or that they might scare Luke off for good.

What exactly was Jam trying to pull? A horror game stream when Prince visited would probably yield embarrassing results on both ends, Luke figured, especially with Prince's anxiety in play.

mjam: it can be like a movie nite for u guys and then the rest of the server can join on vc

...of course, there was the possibility of Prince needing someone to cling to during the scares. Luke would do anything to be that person (not that he'd had a chance to tell Prince).

mjam: yall play resident evil? Been meaning a 100% run of re4 so i can save it for then

Right, okay. This was already being planned, and Prince was too weak to contribute. He knew Luke would never force him to watch the stream, but Prince would have an obligation to force himself for Luke's sake; which would probably be a trauma response according to his therapist.

lukeoverhere: Sounds fun. You in, Prince?

Prince's favorite holiday was Halloween; Luke could never forget thay after seeing the amazing costumes everyone had posted on the subject. Prince made a very pretty Victorian ghost, and Luke had been complimented on his Frankenstein's monster costume. That was why it made sense for Prince to agree to this.

mjam: aight bet. I'll get the stream ready the day after Prince lands

Fuck.

September passed without a hitch, and so did the first week of October. That Saturday, Prince caught his flight and landed in Metro City, poked around while Luke was at work, then crashed at his apartment that night (Prince fell asleep almost as soon as he hit the couch. He was adorable). The following day came, and Luke went to work while Prince explored for himself a little more, and before either of them knew it, night had fallen.

It was time for Jam's stream, and Jam wasted no time pinging them to remind them of this.

"Never played Resident Evil," Prince commented quietly as he curled up on the couch a little.

Luke sat down a short distance away, tossing his jacket over the arm of the couch. "Neither have I. I hear they're good though, if you like first person."

"Or horror games," Prince chimed in, half joking.

A small chuckle escaped Luke's throat, which made Prince smile.

The Discord voice chat suddenly came to life with a cacophony of voices and background noise, and soon enough Jam had begun their stream.

"Is our mic muted?" Prince asked Luke, watching the screen.

Luke nodded. "They wouldn't be able to hear us from here anyway, without a headset there'd be an echo and all that."

Prince hummed softly and picked up his phone, opening the text chat just in case. "Fair."

The silence between them was awkward, filled only by the sounds from the stream and the occasional chatter of the voice chat. At some point, Luke noticed Prince had curled up very tightly, the grip on his sweater sleeves so tight his knuckles were pale.

"You okay, Princey?" Luke asked gently, disregarding his own discomfort for the moment.

"Mm, just a little stressed from the game, I guess," Prince muttered, brushing off the concern. "I'm used to like, holding a pillow or something when I watch stuff like this, so. Yeah."

This could be an opportunity. It had to be. "...you want me to hold you?"

Prince's face went red at the suggestion and he began stammering. "No! Uh. No, you don't have to- I mean, I appreciate the offer, and I totally would, but-"

"Princey, it's okay. If I weren't willing, I wouldn't offer. Honest."

...he still had to get used to that.

"Um... Well, if you say so..." With that, Prince stretched out a little, leaned over, and settled in Luke's waiting arms. Luke pulled Prince close to his side, and smiled at the sound of a small contented sigh.

"Comfy?"

"Mhm. Thanks Luke."

"Anytime."

Maybe horror games are okay sometimes.
