This isn't something I exactly want canon but something I just find fascinating

The headcanon/au of Reedwhisker being Curlfeather's dad

Mostly because of the many people I see doing art about it.

Like this whole thing already has related cats scheming together, so why not. Make this a whole family affair.

However, the only reason I don't think I want it canon is simply. I don't think Curlfeather and crew's motives would work with killing "Dad".

Also I don't actually know how well it works timeline wise. (Like Warrior Cats timeline isn't a mess)

There are just many things you could get out of the idea, though.

Like if it was canon, your kid must not have liked you for them to plan your death.

Curlfeather and Podlight, Frostpaw, and her siblings would distantly be related to Goosefeather. (More reasons to dislike Starclan in their eyes, maybe?)

More easiness for nepotism for Curlfeather cause Mistystar and Reedwhisker are obviously mother and son.

There are just interesting interactions in the story with Duskfur and her kits with Mistystar.

Also, those interactions make me sad knowing the future.

It can be seen as a leader being a leader in canon, but this thought is for fun.

Anyways, this was originally just supposed to be "What do you think of this headcanon/AU"

I like reading your thoughts and such.

I do like this headcanon/ theory/ AU myself, it does originate from Kate saying that was her headcanon. Timeline wise it seems to work out fine, Duskfur just kind of spawned from nowhere as a warrior with her own apprentice in Eclipse so I would imagine her and Reed aren’t too far apart in age. But you also make some very good points about how that would affect Curlfeather’s characterisation and motivations.

So what about he is her father, but she never knew, maybe it was just a quick fling with him and Duskfur, and/or the two fell out before the kits were born and just agreed that it would be best if he wasn’t a father in his children’s lives, so no one but Dusk and Reed knew the truth. Essentially meaning that Curlfeather unknowingly plotted to kill her own father and manipulate her grandmother for power.

And I read Mistystar’s Omen recently and ASC really changes that book in hindsight, seeing stuff about Misty, Reed, Curl, Pod, and Dusk, knowing what the future has in store for them all.

Tw: childhood trauma, talks of abusive parents and implied nasty accidents, drug abuse, angst so much angst and no fucking comfort.

Summary: just me and my nasty little thoughts on how our brosky grow up

A/N: OFC I COME BACK WITH A POST AND THE FIRST THING I DO IS ANGST. I got too carried away with this stuff and i ended up deciding on maybe doing a part two if anyone would be interested. And yes, I didn't wait for the poll to be over cause I can already see this was everyone's favourite choice. This man as well as Gavin has a really big trauma baggage going on

I genuinely think that the Elijah we see in the game, while not entirely good with high morals like Connor, is not as bad as everyone is making him to be

He is the definition of fake it till you make it when it comes to confidence

I'm like 109% sure Elijah's family used to struggle with money or they never had to worry about it

there's no in between

I base that on the reason he "left" (mf was booted out of his own fucking company lol) cyberlife

Which btw, leading a whole fucking company when you're still a teenager wasn't fun, 0/10, he would not recommend

He has been taken advantage of in the most horrid way possible and I think that's why he is now that type of person who never does something for nothing

He has never shown an interest on making his creations for the sole purpose of profiting from them as much as he can

He has always wanted to do much more even at cost of not getting any financial benefit from it

That says two possible things

He has seen the effect money has on people and hates the idea of turning out to be money hungry like his parents, sacrificing something much more important and dear to him just for the sake of money

Which can come from either his parents pushing him so much just because they knew he was their only chance to get a the life they wanted and the sort of money they struggled to make

Or because he has seen how his family has ruined lives or relationships for the sake of keeping their high quality life and how they have pushed that idea onto Gavin and him too which ended up in Gavin not being looked after most of time since he was not fitting their standards of heartless high achiever from whom they could get something too

I would probably tend to believe more the poor background because of how Elijah presents himself

He's very laid back even tho he has the means to be more fancy

The few things ones see of his house during the game makes me believe that he's not very much into opulence but more in indulging himself with stuff he gets joy from rather than spend money on things that show off his wealth

And because I want to, like as a treat to myself

MOVING ON

I've already said it but I'll mention it again for context purpose

Gavin and Elijah are siblings. I know many in the fandom say they might be cousins but I like the siblings idea more

or it could be full siblings but because Gavin resents Elijah he just changed his last name so he wouldn't have to be associated to him or his family

Either way they don't get along anymore because how their parents treated them which is why they grow apart

They were not the type of parents who physically abuse but they did emotional abuse their kids

Gavin and Elijah were put against each quite a lot and they never got the chance to fucked up or do what they really wanted cause they parents made it very clear that their love and affection depended on how much the kids met their standards

And even between each other they weren't the best example as either adults, a couple or parents

Which ended up making Elijah's social interactions and relationships very difficult

I can see Elijah being one of those really delicate and surprisingly sensitive kids growing up

Like I feel like he had struggled a great deal with regulating how much and how often he showed emotions and because of that he got bullied a lot

LIKE HE WAS THE TYPE OF KID TO ALWAYS BE SO EXCITED WHEN TALKING ABOUT STUFF HE LIKED OR ALWAYS READY TO GIVE HUGS TO ANYONE

Which ended up in either getting his feelings crushed by people telling him he was annoying or not even listening to him at all

The only person who always had the patience and the willingness to match his energy when it came to certain things was Gavin

They absolutely defended each other at school even tho Elijah almost always ended up eating shit because he wasn't as strong as he thought himself to be

Bro got his physical demonstration of affection bullied out of him cause kids are cruel, adults are shit and my man here didn't stood a fucking chance

IN FACT i bet he got to a point where it genuinely weirded out when his parents tried to hug him or touch him in general cause he already learn that wasn't "their thing"

I truly believe he didn't always give a single flying fuck about androids and being a scientist in general

I bet he wanted to do something more artistic as a kid and he was very good at it but his parents always told him that being an artist is not a real job and it's a useless hobby because it doesn't gives you anything to live of from

So he just like kind of made being extremely good at school his whole personality

Like he altogether stopped having any type of hobbies ecc and if he did he just forced himself to not indulge in them

Which ended up in isolating him even more from other kids

He was basically already an adult when he was supposed to just be a kid and have fun

And obviously,besides Gavin, no one really understood him

He was too emotionally stunted for kids to relate or interact with him and adults were just overall condescending with him

The only time teachers or other adults noticed him was because of his academic results

It was Gavin who accidentally planted in him the idea of creating his own friends

Gavin loved to read classics and that's a hill I'm willing to die on

He stopped because when he started working he didn't had time

Elijah's enjoyed reading too which, again, was Gavin's doing

His favourite book was obviously Frankenstein

Which btw the Frankestein shirt he wears in the game? That's 100% Gavin's gift and he wears it as some sort of lucky charm

That was the one he used to borrow more frequently from Gavin

The thing went more or less like this

They both were arguing about whether or not the doctor went too far with certain things and, most importantly, if the creature did really deserve to live or not

Obviously Elijah took the side of the monster and Gavin said that of course he was siding with the creature since he did too acted always like he has been alive for like two days instead of 13

Which lead to Gavin making a reference to bicentennial man

Which he didn't understand cause he has never saw that movie before

One thing lead to another and Gavin made Elijah watch the movie which was what sparked the idea of androids in Elijah

YES, HE WAS INSPIRED BY THAT MOVIE AND NOT I ROBOT. THAT MOVIE WAS ABSOLUTELY HEARTBREAKING AND IT'S WAY BETTER ROBOT REPRESENTATION THAN I ROBOT

At that point Elijah was already like a fucking genius and was way ahead his grade even tho he didn't think until then what career he wanted to pursue

The problems between him and Gavin were already starting cause their parents started to notice how smart was Elijah compared to Gavin

At first he thought it was unfair to him because they didn't let him have fun or go out like Gavin

They pushed him to his limit and there have been a couple of incidents where, if it wasn't for Gavin that cared for his well being despite what was going on, elijah would've ended up really bad

then he started to notice how it was unfair to Gavin as well

because they were actually just not giving a flying fuck about what he did since it wasn't important anymore

It made him sick with guilt to see how their parents were visibly struggling to even do the bare minimum as parents when it came to gavin

And Elijah was already starting to have other type of troubles

being that young and skip grades where you ended up in a class full of older people wasn't the best and he did start to take very poor decisions just to make himself liked

It was some sort of silent rebellion too

He started taking drugs which initially were meant to just help him show his classmates he was "mature" enough

And then he just started to need them to power through everything he needed to do

He was so hellbent on his idea of creating a sentient being that could emulate humans if not perfectly even better that he didn't even care what he had to do in order to achieve it

And at that point both Gavin and Elijah hated their parents so he had no problems in using their "help" to get what he needed

I personally believe, like I said in the other post, that something really fucked up happened between Gavin and Elijah which resulted in a major fallout between them

Maybe it's because lately I've been thinking about hereditary (idk why since I have never seen the movie but whatever man) and the fact that I've seen the parents go batshit crazy because the son accidentally killed her sister (?)

BUT I'M UNFORTUNATELY HAVING THE WORST IDEA EVER

Elijah's parents are overprotective with him not out of love but out of interest cause exploiting your kid is always a great family bonding activity to choose

And they try to keep him and Gavin as apart as possible cause they think Gavin would "ruin" him and his future with his influence

So I feel like Elijah was pestering Gavin to sneak out together and do some cool teenager stuff he didn't get to do before as an attempt to bond with his bro again

Elijah was high as kite and that mixed with stupid teenager ideas and reckless rebellious teenage behaviour doesn't mix well

Long story short Elijah and Gavin got into a pretty bad accident and Gavin (fortunately or unfortunately depending on the point of view) got out of it without much harm

But Elijah did got pretty fucked up bro NGL

I can see how that, the fact that Elijah was not there to testify the fact that Gavin didn't do anything wrong and that it wasn't his fault, and the doctors finding traces of drugs in Elijah system obviously didn't ended up well

You can imagine their parents reaction

That was the point where I think Gavin broke off contact with his family completely and just got the fuck out of there

Like I said I can imagine Elijah carrying the guilt for the rest of his life and has never actually had the courage to try and contact Gavin after that

THERE'S SO MUCH MORE I WANT TO SAY BUT I FEEL I MADE THIS TOO LONG SO YEAH

For someone who wasn't born, he oddly has a lot of family

Nergal: Creator. God. Father-like figure.

Ephidel's entire reason for being. The man who made him and the purpose behind everything he does. Quote from Canas/Renault support:

Renault: He has no care for his creations... He merely brought them into this world to serve him. His only interest is himself. Those...things...that he discards... They lose their way... and wander. And he cares not. Morphs...are the mere fact of existence...once meaning has been stripped away.

Without Nergal, Ephidel is now this "mere fact of existence." He is grabbing at anything to give him purpose again.

Other Morphs: Lowly. Competition. Beings like him. Sibling-like.

There are hundreds of morphs, many not even given a name, only a number. These he probably views as animal or robot like. Mindless or weak creations.

Of the named morphs, Kishuna was probably sent away before Ephidel was created. Denning he probably views as rudimentary and simple like most unnamed morphs. Sonia I think he loathes. She's too willful and humanlike and squanders the missions given to her. Limstella I think he is jealous of, they're the strongest and favorite morph and Ephidel was passed in favor when Limstella was created.

Despite all this, I think Ephidel does still value other morphs and his relationship to them, because they are the only beings like him. He can't relate to humans. So the shared and kinda fucked up existence he has with other morphs is still important.

Ninian and Nils: Powerful. Wily. The ultimate goal.

Going with the theory that Aenir was Nergal's wife, thus Ninian and Nils are his children, and the morphs were modeled after Aenir, Erica and I have headcanoned that they are also kinda weird fucked up siblings. I don't think either party would really be cognizant of any of this. Maybe just an odd familiarity. Ephidel in particular seems tasked with capturing the dragon children, so he is slightly more familiar with them. But he mostly just sees them as the key to unlocking the dragon's gate.

The Reeds: Unknown. Pawns to leverage. Strong and not to be underestimated.

Sonia adopted Nino and married Brendan Reed, so the Reeds would be Ephidel's in-laws lmao. Prior to toa, Ephidel only knows of them and hasn't met them directly. But now he's met Nino and Lloyd. He sees great strength and potential in both of them, and is trying to get into their good graces as a form of silent power. He does not have anything against them personally and could genuinely have a nice relationship with them. He also just thinks they're too useful to kill.

Just more headcanon about Gavin and sibling!Reader but this time is a disaster

Part 1

A/N: I don't normally post my headcanons but now Gavin and Reader live in my head rent free and i need to talk about it, soooo let's go.

Warnings: Child loss (I mention Cole), Parent death and mild mention of canon violence. GN!Reader

Terrible English because it's not my first language.

•Ok, first of all: Mama Reed is a russian immigrant bc i said so

•She moved to Detroit with her parents when she was 14/15 yo, circa mid 90's

•She remain pregnant of Gavin fairly young, in the 2002. Gavin's father was not in the picture, so she become a single mother (and originally Gavin had her last name. But we will return to this point later)

•For the next 7/8 years that she was alone with Gavin, she changed several jobs, until she officially became a secretary in the DPD

•Nice job, fixed hours and decent salary. And starting work at the DPD meant she no longer had to ask her parents for help looking after Gavin ((they didn't mind at all, and Gavin enjoy is time with his grandparents. He also learn speak russian from them. But mama Reed is a proud woman, and she doesn't like ask for help)

Basically it is during her time as a secretary that she meets Papa Reed. And consequently Hank, since the two were best friends and partners at the time

•So it ended up that after a couple of years of dating Mama and Papa Reed got married. Gavin is a big mama boy so it's took a long time for him to warm up to the idea of not being alone with his mother anymore. After some time he accepted it, and was officially adopted by his stepfather and changing his last name to "Reed"

•Plus Uncle Hank entered the picture

•Gavin as a child adored Hank. His relationship with his stepfather always remained cordial but detached, but that wasn't the case with Uncle Hank.

Hank becomes Gavin's role model quite quickly

•Anyway didn't take long before Mama Reed got pregnant again, and Gavin was absolutely thrilled to be a big brother

•Now, I'm a firm believer that Gavin and Reader are around 11 years apart So imagine preteen!Gavin holding baby!reader for the first time

•Think about Gavin and baby!Reader watching cartoons together

•Or Gavin in his emo days playing hide and seek with toddler!Reader

•Or Gavin who spends his time teaching Russian to Reader

•Reader pretty much becomes Gavin's favorite person, and he have the biggest soft spot for them. Throughout Reader's childhood and adolescence, Gavin did his best to be the best role model he could be.

•Gavin basically invented the trope "Asshole to anyone but you" platonic version

•He keep the whole "Asshole to anyone but you" attitude throughout high school.

And during his time in the police academy.

Even after officially becoming a police officer.

•Many cops and detectives already knew Gavin becouse his parents and Hank, so it wasn't a huge surprise when they first encountered him. They were mentally prepared for his sarcastic responses and general behavior

What they weren't ready for was the way he changed his attitude with Reader. Imagine the DPD's shock the first time they saw Detective Gavin Reed not verbally bullying someone

•After Reader also joined the police force, many breathed a sigh of relief convinced that Gavin would finally calm down and stop being a massive jerk with his younger sibling constantly around the department . They were wrong. Their colleagues soon discovered that it's not particularly nice to work with a constantly worried and overprotective Gavin.

•The situation worsened significantly after Reader's promotion to detective, and Hank's assignment as his partner.

After Cole's death, the relationship between the Reed siblings and Hank became particularly strained, reaching breaking point for Gavin with the death on service of Papa Reed. Gavin had spent his entire childhood and adolescence idolizing Hank, and relied on him for his stepfather's safeguard. Now for Gav, his "uncle" is no longer someone he can trust and rely on, so at the prospect of Reader working with Hank he doesn't feel comfortable

•To be fair, even Hank didn't like the idea of working with Reader, and he spent the first two months complaining to Fowler about it

•The last straw for Gavin however was Connor's entrance. He can almost stand Hank and Reader being partners, but can't stand the talking Tincan. Gavin doesn't like androids, but he especially doesn't like them around his family

•I think Reader is well aware of Gavin's issues with androids, and to some extent always trying to understand their brother, but during November 2038 Reader literally say "fuck it". They have investigations to conduct, and Gavin won't be the one to undermine them with his issues with Connor.

Reader has taken a firm stand since then, and isn't interested in Gavin's opinion on this matter. This leads to many problems between the Reed siblings, and the eldest easily puts all the blame on Connor. He probably knows deep down that it's not the android's fault, but at the moment he is to bitter to accept that perhaps this time he is wrong

•Basically the whole scene in the evidence room between Connor and Gavin in the mission "Last Chance, Connor", is because Gavin rather than choosing a little introspection chooses to pour all his frustration on Connor And he ends up getting beaten too

That rough buddy

•By The way after the android revolution the situation between Reader and Gavin calms down and finally they start talking like normal people again, instead of seeing who of the two can scream more

•Gavin still has trouble seeing Hank and Connor around Reader, but decides to give them the benefit of the doubt for once

What would Tony and Steve’s Pokémon teams be? (And any other Avenger you want to add)

OH.... THIS IS MY MOMENT TO SHINE. I have so many Pokemon I have in mind but I have a max of ten pics for this and you can only have six Pokemon on hand so I'll just do five each for now.

TONY

Mimikyu wasn't a Pokemon I thought of for Tony until @moonykink brought it up. It suits him so well. Both of them are lonely and misunderstood and wish for friends. I can really see them growing up together and having each other's backs.

Cubone is also another Pokemon I didn't think of until Lou brought it up too. But it's very fitting for him. Cubone is a lonely Pokemon because they mourn the death of their mother. It also wears the skull of their dead mother too. I'd like to think that Tony meets Cubone after his parents' death. I also would like to think it evolves into Marowak when both Cubone and Tony finally come to terms with their mothers' deaths.

Metagross is like a super intelligent Pokemon so it makes sense for Tony to have one. I have this headcanon that both Reed and Tony have Metagrosses that are siblings and would schedule playdates for them while they hang out together in the lab.

Porygon reminds me a lot of Dum-E since it's man-made and pretty basic in terms of programming. I can imagine Tony nicknaming his Porygon after Dum-E.

Nickit was only chosen because it reminds me of Tony. Like just look at it and tell me that it doesn't remind you of him, especially EMH!Tony. I dare you. Also it comes from the Galar region which is based on the UK so I'd like to think that Tony got one as a gift from Jarvis

STEVE

Braviary is a very obvious choice for me, mostly because it's based on the American Bald Eagle. And Steve is Captain America so...... XD

Arcanine and its pre-evolution Growlithe are usually used in law enforcement so I can see Steve getting one when he's in the army. Also, Steve with a dog Pokemon seems very fitting for him. Idk, Arcanine seems to fit him a lot.

Yamper is based on a Corgi and while I can picture Steve with a golden retriever more, I can also picture him having a Yamper too. It feels very Steve. Also, its evolution, Boltund has a complicated relationship with Thievul, Nickit's evolution. So you know, some nice potential dynamics between them.

(Also, fun fact I named my Yamper after Steve and Nickit after Tony so lmao)

Shieldon is also very self-explanatory. It has a shield for a face and it's a tiny resilient baby so...

Lucario was a Pokemon I didn't consider until recently, tbh. But the more I think about it, I like the idea of Steve having one. Riolu is tiny and is only a Fighting-type, which reminds me of preserum Steve (maybe he has one since he's young). Lucario evolves into a Fighting/Steel type and can sense auras and is super fast but also resilient. It just reminds me a lot of Steve's transformation with the serum. I would also like to think that it evolves into Lucario after Steve undergoes the procedure (+ the friendship, of course)

When I get invested in a story, it’s 100% dedication. Getting a reply is the highlight of my day. I'm a big fan of romance and using face claims. I’m the type to make pinterest boards, spam you with gifs, headcanons, and send you songs that remind me of our characters and/or ship. I'll get excited if we come up with future plot ideas, or if our characters are being cute or angsty and I can yell about it in the chat.
