I have a thing for Villains in case you couldn't tell.

"I want her," Villain says, his eyes fixed on Princess, who glances at her father.

The king blanches, his eyes flicking between the two. "You can't-"

"I definitely can," Villain cut him off. "In return for your kingdom back, I want the princess."

She tilted her head to inspect him. Villain, despite his murderous tendencies, was... well, he was rather handsome, if she was being honest. His eyes bored into her father across the table, betraying his mask of indifference. He lounged in his seat while everyone else seemed on the edge of theirs.

Princess wasn't even supposed to be here. She had come only at Villains' request.

"Father," she started, "perhaps Villain and I can talk this through. Alone."

"Absolutely not," he spat. "You will not taint her with your darkness." The King looked to Villain again, jabbing a finger in his direction. "You will not have her."

Villain, with the slightest nod of his head, forced the king into silence. His burning stare moved to the Princess and he addressed her imperiously. "Come. We will discuss."

Not a soul stopped them. Not when he offered his arm. Not when she took it. Not when he led her through to the gardens.

They made their way to the entrance of the spiralling maze before Villain stopped. "You know my request already."

"You want me."

"I want you."

She extracted her arm from his to fiddle with the ring around her throat. "The last time I saw you, you went by Alias."

His jaw clenched. "My name is Villain."

She did not fight him on that. It wouldn't work. Princess stroked the petal of a lily thoughtfully. "You lied to me. You lied to everyone."

Villain remained silent at her back, and she made no move to speak. The silence lingered around them like a thick, suffocating fog. Her willingness to stagnate the conversation thawed at his resolve. Villain would have taken her in his arms and kissed her until she remembered she loved him had she not turned to face him.

"I have conditions," she said finally. He gestured for her to continue. "I will call you Alias. You will cease this ridiculous reign of terror that you have inflicted upon the land. You can keep Kingdom, that land it rightfully yours - but it will be restored to beauty. No more barren land or shaved forests. I want flowers. I want sunshine."

He was silent while she contemplated what else she wanted. He would give it to her. She was worth her weight in gold and more.

"And..." she hesitated.

"Name it and it is yours."

"I want a puppy."

"What?"

"A puppy. Father never let me have one. He said it would only distract me."

His eyes widened in alarm. "I-"

"You said anything," she countered fiercely. When he nodded in agreement, she turned away from him, satisfied.

His lips twisted. "You will have your puppy. And a wedding."

She whirled around, eyes alight.

"You will be my Queen," he said simply. "That is my only request."

"Deal."

They were a breath apart. His fingers reached out to stroke down her cheek, and Princess leaned into the touch.

"I have missed you," Villain murmured, pulling her close to him.

"What, all that power didn't satisfy you?" She taunted. Still, she was in his arms, not pulling away. His hand tangled in her hair, jerking her head backwards. Princess scowled at him. "Don't be mean."

Instead of claiming her mouth like he wished, he settled for a kiss to her temple, cupping the nape of her neck to hold her close.

"I've only ever wanted you," he said. "Everything else was simply an accessory."

She did not respond, cradled in his arms like something precious.

Like something he needed.

finished reading @sanchoyo‘s series Climats d’amor today... aaaaaah, great fic. its a bnha shigaraki tomura/reader fic, its really well written and has a great league of villains found family thing going on.

i havent read bnha in years, but this was super fun to read either way and it has a v satisfying conclusion, so you dont need to read bnha anyway.

i think some of y’all are very freaky about clem likers. bc like.

“y’all stay uwuing awful white women” is such a rude thing to say to someone u don’t know! & it is also kind of insulting to group fans with that kind of accusation.

I don’t think we like to “uwu awful white women”, I think we like to see a character & not think of them as a cardboard cut out representation of evil & actually like to engage with the circumstances that made them this way & think about what could have gone better for them.

forgive me if i’m coming at this tag a little bit i just think it’s rude. there’s more than one way to like and appreciate a character & liking clem doesn’t mean that i’m... "supporting” her or her actions.

why do u like billy hargrove/gen

hi! sorry for the essay! firstly, the thing is i only got into stranger things because @tl-trashtalk shared a really amazing harringrove fanfic and i became absolutely enamoured with the writer. shit went downhill fast. this is important information mainly because thus i had already acquired a lot of information about this character from a fan pov. for example i'd heard quite a lot about his home life. i went into this show and formed my first opinions based on already knowing a lot about him in particular. other opinions i heard only later on. reconsidered a lot of stuff. watched the show. a lot. and based my opinion as it is now on quite a few different things/opinions that i saw and specifically on what is actually in the show.

billy hargrove happens to be imo one of the most interesting characters in stranger things. onto a non exhaustive list of reasons for why i like him:

listens to glam metal

rat mullet

17 year old kid that showed up to his first day at school in bumfuck indiana without even bringing a pen

heavily queercoded!

crying or on the verge of tears like all the damn time just like me

has the hots for steve harrington just like me

practices his flirting techniques in his car

headbangs and dances to metallica when he's in his room alone just like me

wore double denim

turns against a monster that has been possessing him for days, making him do fun stuff like drink bleach and using him to kidnap people which clearly left him in a state of pure terror (see the sauna test episode) just because one person he didn't even know showed him an ounce of kindness

is also actually not even wrong or shitty in a few scenes that are received that way,, (eg like all of his interactions with steve) which opens a whole conversation about how stranger things only ever really shows one pov which imo heavily influences how an audience receives it (probably to blame on the duffer brothers not even caring about most of their characters)

this brings me to another for me very important point: i know how he's interpreted in a large space of the fandom. i think it's absolutely fair. but one reason i like him, and stranger things as a whole, is that really,, we get a very limited amount of information about a lot of the 'side'-characters. for billy that leaves glimpes into the mind and character of a very troubled kid who's not exactly a nice person that's also living in horrible conditions. but also a kid that can be interpreted in so many different ways. i have some more thoughts and specific examples if you'd like to hear them gladly send me a dm

+ some other reasons that i don't feel comfortable sharing bc they're my business and only mine

but yeah i think it's fair not to like him! he does some shit that's not cool. he does some more stuff that's really fucked depending on how it's understood. i have my interpretations of his actions that again i'm happy to explain further in a dm or wherever but preferably not here since as of rn i don't really like using this blog.

#i also in general tend to like characters that happen to be a bit mean #i adore max mayfield #i also really like characters with a shitload of trauma #looking at kaz brekker directly rn #i don't mean that in a romanticising way but more in a psych major way. i've worked with trauma patients & saw how differently people react #i just think it's interesting how that's portrayed in fiction #also. as might've been made obvious i also fucking love dark fiction.#i like villains #i will gladly write an essay about how billy isn't one of those tho #again preferably not on this platform tho #mimi talks shit #ask #le suspect

i feel like a lot of the 'i hate kids' crowd would be more tolerant if they understood that due to a kid's limited experience of the world that 4 hour flight might just be the longest they've ever had to sit still for or that trapped finger might literally be the most pain they've ever felt in their short life or they might not have ever seen a person with pink hair ever so of course they want to touch it or nobody's told them yet that they can't run around the museum and they only just learned cheetahs are the fastest animals so of course they want to put that to the test. how were they supposed to know etc etc.

i have such a love for characters who descend into madness or villainy out of deep, deep empathy. characters who fundamentally cannot cope with the cruel realities they find themselves in and blow up about it in spectacular fashion. fallen angel type characters with tears of outrage in their eyes. characters who break before they bend, and break so badly they splatter blood all over their noble ideals. every variation on it gets me so good

If I was a supervillain, I'd probably throw in some riddles or do the whole theatrical villain role, evil laughs and all. But through my secret underground dungeon, the rooms would just get smaller and smaller until it's just me in a tiny ass room at the the centre. Barely big enough for me, let alone the superhero. And as I stand there glaring at them and they start their spiel about how robbing banks is bad, I'd just wink at them as the door behind them slams closed. The only door to this tiny room is behind me, and now it's the hero who has to get through me to escape. But yknow, how would killing me help if you can't shift my body out the way of the door? The hero would have to get me to cooperate. And I reckon that would be an interesting test on their villain conversion skills rather than just killing everyone.
