#genuinely why am i like this?#i think i never said it here but (if you've seen my posts about wanting to quit uni)#i actually decided i was definitely going to quit for real#i just don't like what i'm doing and i made up my mind. talked to my parents and everything and i made the decision#i still haven't talked about it with my uni and i actually don't know what i'll have to do to make it official#but that's not what i was going to say here#what i mean is that i didn't go to any of my exams right?#and the thing is that i haven't talked about this with any of the people at uni. not my professors and not any of my classmates#i mean i didn't really make friends there tnh#but there where 4 girls that i sat with in class and i talked to them and all that#so yeah i wouldn't consider them my friends but i've talked a lot with them the past few months#mostly with two of them because we were in the same group in all of our practices#and these two girls have texted me to ask me what happened bc i haven't been to any of the exams and the haven't seen me in uni#and since i didn't say anything they were probably worried about me#the first one texted me 8 days ago and the other one 5 days ago#and i still haven't answered any of them#why? i don't fucking know#but my social anxiety doesn't let me for some reason#i don't think their going to judge me for quiting or anything tbh#but for whatever reason my brain doesn't let me answer some simple text saying “hey i haven't seen you at uni. are you okay?”#just thinking that i will have to explain to them the whole situation scares me#(well maybe not the whole situation but at keast the fact that i'm quiting y'know?)#and all this is already making me feel like shit#but then the thought that they're worrying about me and i haven't answered and maybe that is making them worry more quicks in#and i feel like such a shitty person right now bc they don't deserve me ignorning them when they're just being nice#i'm just so fucking tired of this shit and idk what to do#“answer those fucking texts. they just want to know you're okay” one half of my brain tells me#“but i just.. can't” another half cries#venting#maca speaks

I know you've written something similar with Bucky hearing the heartbeat of his unborn child buy what if the reader and Bucky weren't in an established relationship in fact the two don't really get a long at all but they hooked up once and Rayleigh got pregnant. After a mission they end up in a safe house and Bucky realizes that he's hearing the heartbeat of their unborn child
hii!! I did change some things, hope that’s okay (about the hearing heartbeats as don’t think he can do that) but I love the idea!! other fic is HERE. thank you for requesting, hope you like it💌
FIVE WEEKS SINCE.
bucky barnes x fem!reader — fluff/ angst?
Tumblr media
word count. 957
Over a month ago, you and Bucky made the mistake of sharing a hotel room, and it consequentially led to the pair of you indulging in those romantic feelings you knew you always had for each other. At the time, it felt far from a misstep, but the awkwardness that followed made it all feel like a huge mistake.
A following three weeks later —two weeks ago— you found out some life-altering information - discovering that you were pregnant. You knew that it was the work of you and Bucky during that night, but you couldn't bring yourself to share the news. Recently, he's acted like he wanted nothing to do with you, and you felt completely isolated as you wallowed in the feeling by yourself.
During those weeks of uncertainty, you confided in Natasha, essentially using her for support until you worked up enough courage to tell Bucky. She was far more helpful than she gave herself credit for, and slowly but surely, you started to get there in terms of bravery.
You were all currently spending the night at a safe house, sleeping over to resume your mission the next day. Everyone grouped off to share rooms.
It was late, all but you sure to be fast asleep. But you couldn't drift off, something undecided going on with your body - you couldn't figure out what it needed; was it food, water? Something to steady the nauseous feeling in your gut? You weren't sure, so you decided to head down to the kitchen, creeping out of the room quietly, trying not to wake Nat.
As you make your way downstairs, you see the silhouette of someone in the fridge, their back dark - the outline of them lit up by the yellow-white light. You wanted to turn around, not wanting to talk in your moody, tired state, but it was too late. The creak of the last few steps alerting them of your presence.
It was Bucky. And the look on his face was just as uncomfortable as yours.
"I'm just about to go," he murmurs, avoiding you, turning his attention to the open cupboard of glasses.
You roll your neck, working out the kink as you step into the kitchen - it wasn't small, but the space was far too tight for two people who couldn't bear to be in the same room. "No, it's fine. I was just getting a drink," you shrug, standing off to the side of him as you wait to collect a glass.
Instead, he turns to you, handing you one. "Juice is on the counter," he nods, gesturing to the island behind.
"Thanks," you smile reasonably, uncapping the bottle and pouring yourself a glass. But when Bucky steps over, you hand him yours, taking his to fill for yourself.
He takes a quick swig and thanks you, looking around the room awkwardly.
"Do you know where the cookies are?" you ask, trying to ease the tension.
He nods softly and reaches into another cupboard, pulling out a pack of cookies. He opens the packet and hands it to you, acting courteous.
"Thank you," you smile sweetly, offering him the first one.
With a soft shake of his head, he declines.
"Can't sleep?" you ask.
"No. You?"
"No."
And as he begins to step back, you decide to speak up - not wanting him to leave just yet. "Hey, uhm," you pause, fiddling with the cookie wrapper. "We haven't really spoken... how you been?"
"Uh, doing good," he nods faintly, clearly holding back. "Have you— are you good?"
You nod, also holding back.
"Good," he nods, lips in a forced straight line. Feet turning away, itching to leave the room.
"James," you hesitated, clutching at straws - desperate to keep him around just a little longer.
His movement halts, and he twists back to face you. The simple call of his real name brings back memories of the two of you before all the awkwardness.
"I'm..." you inhale sharply, thinking of the words. "I need to tell you something, and I—" you shake your head, stilling your wavering voice.
He takes a small step closer, leaving a comfortable distance between you. "Tell me what?" he asks, the desperation clear in his eyes - his body language growing anxious.
"A couple weeks ago... I found out I'm pregnant," you whisper, momentarily closing your eyes - cowering away. "And I don't know what to do," you shake your head, avoiding his eyes. "It's a lot... and I didn't know how to tell you, but you should know."
The silence is deafening. Bucky's being far too quiet, and it makes you feel sick. You finally meet his gaze and watch the contrasting emotions play out on his face - he's clearly trying to process it all.
"I know the timing isn't great, and things aren't good with us," you try to be mature, attempting to patch things over. "It was a shock for me too, but I just..." you sigh, waiting for him to say something. "I don't expect anything from you, it's okay. I get it."
He nods, seeming to have collected himself. "Let's talk everything over, okay? Talk it all through, clear the air," he offers with a half smile, closing the gap with another step forward.
"Now?" you ask, thrown off by his sudden cooperation and interest.
"Yeah, we'll sit on the back porch," he nods through the kitchen window, gesturing to the deck chairs. "You tell me everything, I'll tell you everything. We'll sort this out."
You're pleased with the progress you're making, and your forced smile turns into a real one - the first real one he's seen of yours in a while. "Yeah. I'd like that."

candles and cuddles
spencer reid x gn reader
Tumblr media
Spencer comes home from a day out in the city and finds you feeling overwhelmed and tired, so he helps you get the rest you need to recharge yourself. content - fluff, comfort, cuddles words - 2.2k
Tumblr media
The keyrings rattling outside in the hallway stir you from your thoughts and you smile briefly, knowing that this means Spencer will be walking through the door any second now. You can hear him struggle to get the key separate from all the keyrings, and you can’t help but feel giddy. Despite the fact that you know he likes to keep his keys fairly free and accessible, he still uses all the keyrings that you’ve gotten him from the various trips you have taken, both with and without him.
“I bought this really cool book. Come and read it with me?” Spencer asks, his voice alerting you to his presence, now inside your shared apartment.
You look up from your spot on the sofa, tilting your head to indicate your question.
“Would you like me to explain what the book is about?” His voice is gentle; in the same way a hot bath can soothe achy muscles, his voice soothes the aches in your soul.
You nod your head in response, straightening your back and stretching your legs out in front of you. You had been sitting in the same spot for the last few hours, waiting for Spencer to get back from town. He had been out shopping and had stopped for lunch somewhere with Derek, leaving you to fend for yourself at home for the afternoon. You’d managed to get a couple of the chores done from the long list you’d given yourself, but for some reason once the dusting in the lounge was completed you had found yourself almost completely devoid of motivation.
“Are you sure?” He pauses before adding, “are you okay?”
He puts his bag down without looking at the floor, and steps towards you. His eyebrows knit in worry and confusion, your lack of words seemingly causing him to be concerned for you.
You clear your throat before speaking.
“Yes I'm sure. I'm okay, I promise.” You give a small half smile to try and back up your words, and to try and convince Spencer, but by the look on his face you know he doesn't believe you. Goddamn profilers.
“Did you have a good afternoon?”
You hope that asking him a couple questions will help to ease you back into talking, but your voice is very small when you first speak, and you assume it's because you haven't spoken out loud since he left.
“Yes, we did, thank you. Derek was unhappy about being dragged around to all the small, dingy bookstores, his words not mine, but I think he forgave me after I bought him lunch.”
You can't help but let out a small laugh at that, it does sound a lot like Derek, he loves to tease Spencer. Even more so when they’re both out shopping and Spencer is trying to buy new books, he’s said to you before that Derek finds his need for over checking and going back and forth a million times between stores a little excessive sometimes, all to ensure the perfect book is bought, but you know Derek only means it lovingly. He'd never say or do anything hurtful towards Spencer intentionally.
“That sounds about right.” You answer with a laugh.
Spencer is right in front of you now, having removed his scarf and coat, leaving them untidily thrown about on the nearest chair.
You feel the sofa dip under Spencer’s weight, and you can tell by his short sigh that he wants to ask you if you're okay again, but you speak before he's able to.
“It's okay Spence, I really am okay. Just tired I think.”
Spencer nods, willing himself not to keep prying. He knows if something was really wrong you would tell him, he just needs to give you some time first. He has come to know your ticks and quirks quite well now, the two of you had decided to move in together almost a year ago now, and you had been friends long before your romantic relationship started, so he is familiar with how your brain works.
He watches you as you shut your laptop and place it on the table, his eyes following your hands as he shuffles back into the sofa to get comfortable. As you lean back Spencer puts his arm around you, bringing you closer to his side. You let out an audible breath of relief at the contact, something that doesn't go unnoticed by Spencer.
“Do you want to take a nap with me?” Spencer asks, squeezing your shoulder with his hand.
“Spence, you know I'm not good with na—”
“I know, but resting can help with feelings of exhaustion, even if you don't actually fall asleep. It's important to let yourself rest in order to help boost your mood, and resting can also help reduce stress and improve your creativity and motivation.” He pauses, tilting his head to look at you, before adding, “I don't want you to burn yourself out.”
Spencer punctuates the end of his sentence with a smile, and you can't help but smile back. The ways in which he wants to help and look after you never fail to make you happy.
“Okay,” you agree, “let's go to bed for a bit.”
You can tell Spencer is happy you said yes by the way he jumps up almost immediately, extending his hand toward you and practically pulling you to your feet. You let out a laugh as he drags you to your shared bedroom, watching as he struggles to hold your hand and get the room organised enough for you both to relax on the bed comfortably at the same time.
“Spence, it's okay, I'll sit.”
He looks at you as if he'd forgotten you were still attached to his hand, almost as though he'd become so used to your presence beside him that he hadn't even thought to let your hand go, even if it meant he'd be able to organise the room better.
Spencer had long considered you a part of him, almost since the very first moment he had met you. The way you seemed to light up the room as soon as you entered, your smile was warm and inviting, and your voice… He had never heard anything like it. He hadn't turned around upon your entrance on that first day, he knew that Emily had invited a friend to the bar, but he was focused on watching Derek play pool against Rossi. Although, more accurately, he was focused on telling Derek the precise ways in which he was bound to lose the game; the way his stance was wrong, the way his hold on the cue was wrong and how he was breathing at all the wrong times in order to make the perfect shot. But as soon as he heard you introduce yourself to JJ and Penelope his head had whipped around, his eyes falling on you immediately. There was no mistaking his feeling in that moment, he needed to know you.
And he hasn't lost that feeling in all the years he'd known you, it had grown and changed as the two of you had become more and more familiar. What once was needing to know you, had then changed to needing to hear you, needing to see you, and now, needing to be near you.
Even as he gently let go of your hand and watched you quickly sit on the edge of your bed he wished he was nearer to you. He wished he could feel your soft skin against his, and feel your chest rise and fall with your breathing.
His longing made his organisation an entertaining thing to watch. His steps were hurried, his feet tumbling over each other and you were surprised he hadn't fallen head over heels yet. You placed your hands on the bed behind you, leaning back onto them slightly as your eyes followed Spencer around the room. He was caught in his own world and luckily didn’t notice your staring, although you could feel your face heat up at the thought of him catching you. He was focused on clearing the bed at first, he had moved the scattered papers and books left there from your morning in bed, and had moved them onto the chair beside you. Next he had ensured all the curtains were closed, only left open the tiniest crack to allow some of the air to flow in from the open window. He had then flicked off the main overhead light, choosing to turn on the warm bedside lamp on his side of the bed instead. And finally, he fluffed up your pillow, turning to you when he was done and extending his hand towards you, stretching it as far as you could in a bid to get closer to you.
Smiling, you accepted his hand, allowing him to pull you to your feet and lead you towards your side of the bed. He had left your favourite green fleece blanket at the end of the bed, and as soon as you laid down he wasted no time before placing it over your body. You smiled, wiggling a little to get comfy. Spencer checked the room one last time, as though he needed everything to be perfect for you, and paused. You weren't sure what he was doing. At first all you could see was his back as he rummaged through a draw, but it didn't take long for you to realise his idea once he turned to face you. He was holding a matchbook.
“Which scent?” He asks simply.
“Hmmmm,” you tilt your head and purse your lips while you think. “I don’t know, there’s so many— Oh! How about the white jasmine and sandalwood candle you got me last week? I haven't had a chance to use it yet.”
Spencer nods, and wordlessly walks to your bedside to light the candle. He smiles as he watches you slowly close your eyes, happy that you’ve given yourself some time to rest.
“Spence? Are you going to continue watching me, or are you going to come and join me under this blanket?”
His smile widens to a grin at your words.
“Sorry, sorry, I’m coming.”
And, true to his word, after barely a minute he is next to you.
You curl your body towards his, lifting your neck so he can slot his arm underneath it. You can feel Spencer bouncing his foot ever so slightly underneath the blanket, and you smile, leaning further into his chest. You hadn't realised how tired you had been, but you feel it now. You take a deep breath, wanting to relax yourself even more. You can smell the outside on Spencer’s shirt, a fact that, although is not unsurprising, does make you a tad disappointed. Until you met Spencer you never realised how addicting it can be to be enveloped in a partner’s smell, you never realised that a smell could make you feel so relaxed and so calm. Draping your leg across Spencer’s body you take another not so subtle sniff, trying to smell that familiar mix of vanilla, coconut and coffee.
“Are you smelling me?”
You bury your face in his chest before answering, and you feel Spencer squeeze your arm.
“Yes.” You whisper.
“You like how I smell?” His question is genuine, but his voice is small—almost as though he was afraid of the answer.
You crane your neck upwards to look at Spencer.
“Yes.” You whisper again, with a smile on your lips.
You feel your cheeks warm as Spencer looks at you, you think he must be looking for a sign of teasing on your face.
When he doesn't find one he pulls you even tighter against his chest.
“Thank you.” He breaths, the words barely perceptible.
You smile, wrapping your arms around him as best as you can from this angle, and you feel his other arm lay on your side. His touch completely surrounds you, and you can hear his heart beating in his chest. The rhythm relaxes you, and coupled with the candle and the dim lit room, you find your eyes beginning to feel heavy. You know sleep is not far away now.
“I love you Spence.” You whisper. “Thank you for looking after me.”
Spencer watches you as you finish speaking, he loves that he was able to help you this afternoon. And, despite your regular insistence that you can't nap, he feels your head go heavy and he can hear your breathing change. He knows you must be practically asleep now, but he doesn’t mind, he always has his thoughts to keep him company, and luckily when you’re in his arms he knows it will always be the good thoughts, and never the bad ones.
“I love you too, baby.”
Spencer’s voice is quiet so as to not disturb your peaceful rest, but he hopes you hear him. He hopes you are able to hear what his actions say to you.
I love you, I love you, I love you
You mean everything to me

"Ego", The Final Boss
Olivia (she prefers to be called Liv) has been on quite the spiritual journey for a couple of years. She was born and raised Catholic, then as a teen she decided to leave the church because it didn't resonate with her. She went through a law of attraction phase, followed by law of assumption, and finally, she found non dualism from a few Twitter and Tumblr accounts.
The message, from what she gathered, was that she needed to fully drop the ego in order to realize her true self/true nature and to experience whatever she wanted. She even read a few books where realized masters have spoken about their own personal journeys of dropping ego and how life is generally more peaceful for them now that they've done so.
Now, Liv is one with a troubled past. She would give anything to become an entirely different person with no childhood trauma, and just a happy life all around. She meditated every single day, practiced "sitting in silence", and tried her hardest to detach from her "ego."
She stopped enjoying her usual hobbies out of fear of identifying too much with the character. She would go out of her way to correct thoughts that she felt were "too related to being the person." Needless to say, her mental health began to go downhill very fast.
One of her best friends, Marcus, decided to check up on her one day through face-time. "Hey sis! How have you been?! Haven't seen you in a while."
"Hey..." Liv answered. "I'm not doing all that great to be honest."
"Yeah I figured that. That's why I reached out to you," Marcus stated. "I'm worried about you. It seems like you barely leave the house. Everytime myself or anyone else tries to make plans with you, you either cancel last minute or come up with some bogus excuse as to why you can't come out."
Liv had to laugh because everything he said was true. "So I'm guessing you didn't believe the story about my pet rabbit dying."
Marcus cackled. "GIRL. I've known you for years and not once have you ever had a pet rabbit. Stop playing."
"Okay let me tell you what's really going on with me," Liv began, "So a few months ago I found this 'spiritual practice' called Non Dualism, and the premise of it is you need to 'let go of ego' in order to realize your true nature as God, or Awareness, whatever you want to call it. Also you get to experience whatever you want."
"So this is the reason why you've stopped enjoying your usual hobbies, and why you've stopped having a social life?" Marcus inquired. "I'm going to be honest here. As your friend, I feel like I owe it to you to tell you the Truth even if it isn't what you want to hear. I don't think that this 'practice' has helped you one bit. Either you have misinterpreted the message, or these people are spreading misinformation. Never at any point should you sacrifice your mental health for the sake of 'becoming enlightened.'"
"I don't know what else to do," Liv started to cry a little. "I just want to become a different person living a life full of happiness, one without trauma and constant reminders of my horrible past. I hate being this broken person!"
"It's okay hun, I totally understand," Marcus consoled her. "I can help you. You remember my family guru right? She hates being called that, but I don't know how else to refer to her. Her name is Sage. My family has gone to her for spiritual advice and healing for years."
"Yes, I remember her! Didn't she help your mom heal her lower back pain?" Liv asked excitedly.
"She sure did. I can give you her number if you want!"
After Liv ended her face-time call with Marcus, he gave her Sage's number. She immediately reached out to her to schedule a day where they can meet up.
- -
One day, Liv arrived at a beautiful park to discover Sage already sitting on one of the benches waiting. "Hi! I don't know if you remember me, I'm Marcus' friend Liv."
"Yes! Hi Liv, it's nice to see you again," Sage reached out and gave Liv a warm hug. "Now what can I help you with?"
Liv sat down next to Sage. "Well, I discovered Non dualism a few months ago, and I'm not sure if I misunderstood the message or not, but I thought you had to let go of ego in order to realize your true nature as awareness. And after you realize this, you can experience whatever you want. So long story short, I stopped enjoying life because I thought I had to do that in order to be enlightened."
Sage hesitated for a moment, and then smiled. "Think about it this way.. if it's true that our true nature is awareness, or God, whatever label you put on it, why would you have to go through these unnecessary steps in order to 'become' it? If that's what you already are in the first place?"
Liv opened her mouth to reply, then closed it again. Maybe Sage had a point.
"Here are my thoughts. If anyone is telling you to 'drop the ego', it's bullshit," Sage chuckled. "The point of Non Dualism is realizing that you were always awareness. You were always the awareness behind everything that seems to appear. The ever-stretching, limitless silence that can take on the form of anything. The ego is just a thought. The idea that you are not already fully realized is also just a thought. In reality, there's no ego or person here to let go of. No person here who needs to become 'fully realized.' Just drop the idea that you are a limited human that has to become something, and you'll be golden."
Liv's jaw dropped to the ground. "You're telling me it was THAT SIMPLE THIS ENTIRE TIME?"
Sage laughed heartily. "Yes it is. Why do you think it took masters like Lester or Sri Nisgardatta months or YEARS to 'realize Self?' because they spent so much time trying to get rid of an ego that doesn't exist!"
Liv let out a sigh of relief. "So there really is nothing to do. I can't believe I exerted all that effort for nothing. I do have one more question, how can I experience whatever I want knowing I'm awareness? I want to be a completely different person with a different past."
"The person you think you are now, and the one you want to be are both illusions. You, as awareness, can 'choose' either one like a costume. Everytime you think about this ideal version of you, you've already experienced it," Sage grinned.
Suddenly a wave of emotions flooded through Liv, a mixture of relief and happiness. She felt the urge to give Sage a tight hug. "Thank you so much for helping me today."
"You're so welcome, sweetie."
Good for Liv, she has finally accepted her omnipotence and freedom to experience anything!

Baby bump?
-Hyunjin
Warnings: fluff, pregnancy?😂
Pairing: Hyunjin x reader
Summary: he travels to Greece and comes home to a surprise
!not proofread!
This is a quick little story because I’m working on requests lol🩷
**
I quickly run up to my bathroom and throw up the lunch I just had ate. Felix quickly follows behind me and hold up my hair.
"Your gonna have to tell him eventually." He says. I let out a whining sound before I was interrupted with vomit.
"I don't want too" I cry while flushing the toilet and getting up to brush my teeth.
"He's coming back home today, his gonna be suspicious." Felix reasons with me.
"I know but I haven't even taken a pregnancy test yet." I sigh as we walk back into the living room where the other boys were playing the ps.
"Should we go grab one right now? I'll come with you." I smile and give him a hug.
"I would love too" Felix was my bestfriend, all the boys were but me and him were just different. We understood eachother we told eachother everything.
"Guys we're quickly going to the store to get something." He tells the guys.
"Grab us some sodas!" Chan calls and we make a mental note before getting it or he car and driving to the stores.
Hyunjin had left a few days ago to Greece for a Versace fashion show and I had been throwing up. Only Felix knew this because he caught me one time and asked me what was wrong. After doing some research we found out that i could be pregnant. My worst fear. I was so terrified that I decided I would rather not know but what if I actually was and one day a baby just pops out of my virgina. Crazy right?
I finally gave in when Felix convinced me to take a test but I had been so busy with my classes and training that I didn't have time but now that we had a day off and Hyunjin was coming back I had to do it now or never.
"What about these ones?" Felix points at the digital pregnancy test and I just nod.
"Hey it'll be okay. If you really are pregnant we'll or raise him or her and turn her into a stay warrior,"
I let out a laugh and poke him on the side.
"As if" I scoff "I would never let them listen to y'all"
"That's offensive!" He gasps.
"Whatever major loser" I tease him and he pokes his tongue out.
"Come on let's pay." He grabs my hand and we walk to the counter where the lady stares at us weirdly. Great.
My phone buzzes and I quickly look at it:
Babe❤️
Hey baby, just got home but the boys said you went to the store with Felix. You okay?
I sigh. I couldn't say 'oh welcome home btw I may be pregnant surprise!' That would be crazy. Instead I just sent a simple text saying we would be home in five and indeed we were home in 5.
I walk through the door and up to Hyunjin room where I walk in. He was drying his hair meaning he had just come out the shower.
"Baby!" He squeals and hugs me tight.
"I missed you Jin!" I squeal and he chuckles. "How are you? How was your trip? Come on you have to tell me everything!" I pull him over to the bed and we sit down.
"Wait before that look what I got you!" He pulled out a bag from his suitcase and hands it to me.
"I told you not to get me anything" I roll y eyes but open it anyway.
"I had to get my girl something! I was in Greece don't blame me." He pulls me onto his lap and I open the the little box where I see a locket made of gold.
I gasp and look at him.
"Hyunjin..."
"Look it even has out names engraved and when you open it, it has pictures of us together." My heart starts to beat faster and I feel tears prick my eyes.
"I love it so much babe, I love you so much" I put it down and hug him giving him so many kisses causing him to laugh but thats when it hit me. I hadn't told him about the pregnancy stuff. I didn't know how he would react. I didn't want to ruin this moment. What if he freaks out?
"Babe are you okay?" He asks looking at me a bit worried.
"Yes yes, I'm just so lucky to have you in my life Hyunjin."
"And I'm so lucky to have you Y/n" he kisses my cheek and helps me put the necklace on.
I run downstairs to show it off to the boys and he just stood by the kitchen door watching and laughing at how excited I was about it. Showing it off.
"I'm gonna grab some food, do y'all want anything."
We all said a quick no and continued admiring the necklace.
He walks into the kitchen and a few moments later I hear a something fall and crash.
"Hyunjin?" I call but no response. I walk over to the kitchen to check on him and that's when I find the most scary sight (well at the moment) he was holding the bag with pregnancy tests.
"Uh..."
"Y/n..." he slowly looks up at me "why are there pregnancy test in a bag, by your keys and wallet?" He asks slowly.
"Well you see.."
"Don't lie to me y/n,"
"Fine.. I was gonna tell you I really was but then you were so happy and I didnt want to ruin our moment and you've been gone and it's just so scary," I rant and feel tears in my eyes.
"Hey babe, it's okay. Don't cry. I've got you" he pulls me towards his chest and let out a sob.
"What if I am Hyunjin, my career is over."
"Well we'll figure it out, I promise. Do you wanna go test right now?"
"Hyunjin.." I sob again and he tightens his grip around me.
"Hey it's okay, I'm right here with you." He assures me and kisses my forehead.
"Okay I'll do it." I wipe my tears and he holds my hand as we walk to his room.
"I'll be right outside I promise." He gives me a kiss and I quickly go into the bathroom and take the test.
I come back outside and sit on the bed with Hyunjin as we wait for the 5 minutes. Longest 5 minutes of my life.  He kept assuring me that everything was going to be okay but I could sense that even he was nervous. My stomach was churning and the alarm clock did not make it any better.
"You ready?" He asks as he holds the test in his hand.
"Just do it." I sigh and he turns the test. His reaction was blank.
"W-hat is it?" I asked scared.
"Negative babe." He says.
I swear to God I wanted to jump up and down. It felt like all the weight in the work was lifted off my shoulders.
"Oh thank God." I let out a relieved sigh and he chuckles.
"In my opinion you would look good carrying my baby." He says and kisses me.
"One day babe, one day." I smile.

Unknown Number Part 2
the long anticipated part two to unknown number. enjoy!
Part Three is now up!
italics: y/n (unknown number)
bold: harry
(one day later)
HS: Hey, I haven't heard from you. Is everything okay?
HS: I know you're busy and everything, but maybe you feel differently after us talking?
HS: It doesn't have to be different. We can go back to just texting I don't mind.
(one day later)
HS: You're not avoiding me are you?
HS: June?
(one day later)
HS: I don't know what I did, but whatever it is I'm sorry.
HS: But I'm starting to get worried. Are you okay? Like safety wise? Cold shoulder I can take but I would feel awful if you were hurt or in danger or something?
HS: Can you at least let me know you're alright?
J is typing...
(twenty minutes later)
J: i'm fine
HS: Good!
HS: Did I do something?
J: no i just think i was served a cold dose of reality a couple days ago
J: sorry for disappearing on you
HS: It's okay.
HS: Would you be more comfortable if we just went back to texting?
J is typing...
J: maybe
HS: Maybe?
J: i...like the sound of your voice
HS: You do, do you? ;))
J: don't be smug!
HS: I'm not, I swear!
HS is typing...
HS: I like the sound of your voice too.
(later that evening)
Y/n stared down at her phone and wondered if she was the biggest asshole on the planet.
She was never supposed to know who H was. Sure, she'd thought about it, had stayed up for hours thinking about who might be on the other side of their conversations. But it was all guessing and daydreaming. Y/n never actually thought she'd figure it out. Or that H would stand for Harry. As in Harry mother fucking Styles.
The person Y/n had been texting wasn't some serial killer or internet troll or some random person. He was one of the most popular names in pop culture right now. And not only that, they were in the same vicinity for the next few months while Five Seconds of Summer opened for One Direction.
When she heard H's voice, when she realized H was Harry, Y/n ran. She high-tailed it back to the tour bus, shooting a quick text to One Direction's stylist to tell her she wasn't feeling well and if she could take care of her band. Y/n pretended to be sick for a couple days while she hid on the tour bus. No one questioned it, but she did feel a little guilty for not doing the job she was paid to do.
But what was she supposed to do? The potential for running into Harry was extremely high. Y/n had no idea what she would do if they spoke and he came to the same realization as she had. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to handle the disappointment on Harry's face when he saw her and knew.
Pursing her lips, she typed out a new message.
(ten minutes from the last text)
J: do you ever think about us meeting?
(five minutes later)
HS: All the time.
J: you do?
HS: Of course. I mean it's hard not to.
J: do you...think you'd ever be disappointed by meeting me?
HS: Uh no?
HS: Is there a reason for this line of questioning?
J: no not really. just curious
HS: Somehow I feel like that's not true.
J: i don't know
J: i'm not sure why i'm in my head about this it's not like we'll actually meet
HS: You really think that?
J: do you think we ever would?
HS: I don't know.
HS: But I think I'd like to. One day.
J: you don't even know me!
HS: I do though!
HS: And you know me too!
HS: Where is all of this coming from?
J: i just think we should be realistic
J: i texted you by accident and we've become like modern day pen pals or something
HS: So you...don't want to meet me? Ever?
J: it's not about want it's about practicality. i just don't think talking about us in that way is smart
HS: You brought it up!
HS: And what do you mean by us?
(fifteen minutes later)
HS: Oh, so you're gonna ignore me now? Real mature.
HS: You're the one who brought all of this up you know.
HS: But you're probably right. I know I've been bothering you, but I think you had the right idea. I think we need a little space.
Tumblr media
(one day later)
Harry was unreasonably irritated. Angry didn't seem like the right word, but nothing about his situation was normal.
June was technically right. This whole thing was ridiculous and nonsensical and completely impractical. There was no scenario where they would ever meet or...
Harry couldn't even think about it. Thinking about June like that...thinking about June at all outside of their messages was stupid. He didn't need to be thinking about her, about anyone that way.
So why was he so frustrated?
Maybe it was that June wrote him off so quickly and seemingly out of nowhere. It wasn't like they ever needed to talk about the obvious, which was that they'd probably never meet despite the fact that he'd grown fond of her. Harry was perfectly content to talk about whatever popped into his head or June's latest Tinder date—though that topic was slowly starting to grate on Harry for reasons he refused to admit. Now it was a jumbled mess.
With his head bent, Harry walked toward craft services. He pulled out his phone, looking at past conversations and willing himself not to send another one. June hadn't responded to him since his last message, and he wasn't sure how to feel about it. On the one hand, it was what he'd asked for, but he still was itching to talk to her. Harry had grown used to expecting a quick response, had enjoyed June's wit and charming personality with each message she sent.
And now it was all weird and Harry's emotions were all over the place.
"Oof! Hey, watch where you're going!"
Harry glared down at the young woman who'd bumped into him—or who he'd bumped into, but he was too caught up in his own world to realize it. The young woman's eyes widened in shock as she stepped away from him. She opened her mouth as if she was about to speak, but nothing came out. Maybe a little squeaking.
He'd seen her around before, but not much. Honestly, these days Harry was usually holed up somewhere on the bus or at the venue texting June. But he'd seen the back of her head as she scurried around, or at a table on her own during lunch as she scrolled on her phone. He was pretty sure she was Five Seconds of Summer's stylist, but he didn't know for sure.
Raising his eyes at her expectantly. Harry waited for her to say something. "Sorry," she said, barely said. She was so quiet, Harry could hardly hear it. She looked scared of him, which made him feel bad. He was in a mood, but he didn't want to make anyone feel terrified of him, and this girl looked like she was about to cry.
He tried to apologize, but she scurried off before he could. Harry watched her go and sighed. He couldn't wait to get onstage and forget about June and the texts and all the ways she made him feel things he wasn't supposed to feel.
(later that night)
HS: Are we okay?
J: i don't know
J: i think so
HS: I feel like I'm going crazy.
J: how so?
HS: All I've been able to think about is our last conversation. I don't want to not talk to you.
HS: Can I admit something?
J: of course
HS is typing...
HS: I want to hear your voice again.
(five minutes later)
HS: You know, for the first time I think I actually kind of sounded like a creep.
HS: I didn't mean it in a creepy way I promise.
J: i know what you meant
J: in every other circumstance it would raise a red flag
HS: But this time?
J: i think i just want to hear your voice again too
HS: Yeah?
J: i'm not going to say it again to boost your ego
HS: :((
J: you know, you say all the time that you don't date, but i have a feeling you like having your ego fluffed
HS: Who doesn't?
J: attention whore. that's what you are!
HS: That was mean >:(
J: i would like to make it known that i'm sticking my tongue out right now
HS: I'm flipping you off!
(five minutes later)
J: so we're okay?
HS: Yeah. We're okay.
Tumblr media
(one day later)
J: are boys always filled with energy?
HS: I would say 90 percent of the time. Why?
J: my clients are just...a lot sometimes
J: very nice but a lot
J: like the brothers i never asked for
HS: Aw. Are they getting on your case about your bad taste in men now too?
J: you're not as funny as you think you are
J: and maybe
J: they tease me about the constant beeping of my phone. they want to know who i'm texting all the time
HS: And what do you say?
J: that i'm texting my boyfriend
J: i feel like it keeps them at bay
HS: Boyfriend huh?
J: oh hush
HS: Don't tell anyone, but I like the sound of that.
J: don't tell anyone but i do too
(two minutes later)
J: i feel like we're wandering into dangerous territory here
HS: Maybe.
HS: I'm not as bothered about it as I thought though.
J: no?
HS: Are you?
HS: Sorry. You don't have to answer that.
J: that's ok. i just don't know how i feel
J: not a cop out just the truth
HS: I believe you. Will you tell me when you do know?
J: of course
(later that night)
J: how does one acquire a new mother?
HS: Typically through divorce.
J: that won't work. my parents are miserable people together. kindred spirits
HS: what did she do this time?
J: it's stupid
HS: Not if it made you upset.
(ten minutes later)
HS: June?
J: sorry i was crying
HS is typing...
(one minute later)
Y/n's eyes widened at the incoming phone call on her screen. She knew she shouldn't have told him she was upset, but she needed someone to talk to, and somehow H had become the person she confided in.
Even then she didn't expect Harry to call her.
Hesitantly, Y/n picked up the phone. "H—Hello?"
"Why were you crying, June?"
"I'm fine, H, I promise—"
"No, you're not. I can still hear it in your voice. What's wrong?"
"I..." Was their first conversation really going to be her crying to H about her family drama? Y/n knew perfectly well that he probably had a million other things he could be doing. She was aware that both bands typically went out after shows. The boys of Five Seconds of Summer had tried to persuade her to go out numerous times, but she had yet to take the bait. Y/n was perfectly happy to lay in her bunk and text H, who she now realized might have been in a bunk of his own a couple buses over. The thought made her stomach feel fluttery and nauseous at the same time.
"My mom posted on Facebook about one of my cousins who just got married," Y/n explained. "And she said, or commented, or whatever that she was, 'so happy' and 'so proud' of the 'daughter she always wanted.'"
"Oh, June, I'm so sorry."
"It's fine, I swear it's fine," Y/n insisted, but even as she said it, she felt more tears begin to leak from her eyes. "I knew she was disappointed. Marriage is a huge deal in my family, and I didn't want—She called her the daughter she always wanted. What kind of mother says that?"
Y/n knew she was something of an outcast in her family, but she never thought her mom would say something like that, and so publicly. Facebook was her family's way of staying connected. This was a message for her entire extended family, not just Y/n.
"June, I—I don't even know what to say. That's horrible," H said.
"And you know what's the worst part?" Y/n asked. "Deep down I can't help but wonder if I should just settle down and get married like she wants me to because really, what am I doing here? I've been trying to make my way in this industry, but at what cost? My family has all but disowned me, I hardly have any friends because I live in a new town that just eats up my meager paychecks, and—"
"Hey," H said gently. "Do you really think you'd be happier back home with...with a husband at, what? 22?"
Y/n sniffled and rubbed her eye. "Probably, not, but—"
"And do you want this?" he asked.
"I thought I did."
"June. Do. You. Want. This?" he repeated.
He was the only person Y/n would admit it to. "I...I really do, H."
"Then go for it," he said. "I believe in you. In a year or two, everyone is going to want to work with you. You'll be the one turning people down."
"If only."
"Hey, that's not the voice of a confident woman. I need to hear confidence."
"H—"
"No, I need confidence. I can't be the only one believing in you here," H said, which made you smile despite the tear stains on your cheeks. "Do you need me to shout it? Because I will. Don't think I won't."
Y/n tried to stop him, but H proceeded to shout—to whom, she wasn't sure—that she was the best stylist and that she was the coolest person he knew and all sorts of nonsense that made her giggle and continually tell him to shut up.
"Okay. That's enough! Harry, that's—"
She stopped immediately. It was a slip of the tongue. Y/n had gotten caught up in the moment and his name just...it just came out. Her heart stopped and her hands began to shake, nearly making her drop her phone in her lap.
Y/n prayed that he missed it, that amidst all the laughing and shouting, H didn't hear it. But the minute his name left her lips, it was dead quiet.
"How do you know my name?" he asked. His voice wasn't lighthearted anymore. It was stone cold, closed off.
"I...I don't—"
"You do. You just said Harry. How do you know me? Have you known the whole time?"
"No! I didn't—I don't—"
"I can't believe this. I can't believe that I...that I let myself fall for this. You—You lied!"
"I didn't lie! I swear, I never—I never knew anything until..."
"Until what?" he shouted, and you flinched.
What was she supposed to say? That they were on tour together? Harry would definitely think she stalked him then. He was so angry, there was no way he would listen to reason right now.
"Until what, June?"
"I'm so sorry," she said, her voice just above a whisper.
"Don't try to contact me again, or I'll call the police," he said harshly before hanging up.
Y/n could only stare down at her phone in disbelief.
Tumblr media
(two days later)
Y/n decided to spend her days perusing thrift stores. Hiding, really.
Her first-ever clients as a stylist were pretty low-maintenance. When she met them for the first time and saw their scuffed-up sneakers and ripped jeans, Y/n knew she wouldn't be stretching her creativity pretty far. But her job was to find clothes that represented her clients' image, which was exactly what she did.
While everyone else on tour was doing who knew what, Y/n went to local thrift stores in search of vintage t-shirts and good quality jeans that would be easy to move around him. One time, she came back with a pair of gorgeous leather boots that she thought would be perfect for Luke, but he said outright that he wouldn't wear them. Boys, honestly.
It wasn't much, but they appreciated when she came back with cool band and graphic shirts. She sewed up holes and ripped new ones when she was asked. Y/n felt like Snow White sometimes, and the boys were her dwarfs, but they were nice and funny and kept her distracted, which she needed right now.
She was in a small thrift store in Oregon, a couple pieces on her arm—two flannels, a baseball tee, a t-shirt with Kurt Cobain on it, and a couple leather bracelets. Now that she'd been on tour with the wonderful members of Five Seconds of Summer, Y/n had an idea of what each member liked. They had very similar styles and often shared the clothes she picked out for them—which honestly made her life easier considering her smaller-than-small budget.
But she still thought about H, of course she did. There were times when she felt compelled to go up to him at the concert venue, or even his tour bus, but she feared that would just make things worse. He already thought she was a stalker, she wasn't going to make it worse by just...appearing right in front of him.
She didn't know what to do, but not doing anything made her heart hurt. Not talking to him made her heart hurt. Y/n couldn't believe that this was how their text friendship turned out. Of all the ways she imagined this thing ending, having Harry block her number and him virtually hating her.
"Just this today, hun?" the woman behind the counter asked when she brought the clothes up.
Y/n nodded. After her major slip up, she hadn't done much talking. She felt like a ghost, floating from place to place without a word until she could go back to her bus bunk and look at old messages. Y/n didn't really want to be on this tour anymore, but she couldn't bring herself to quit. She didn't have the energy.
Back at the new concert venue, Y/n went to the boys' dressing room. They crowded around her as she showed them the shirts and bracelets. "I can cut up the sleeves on some of them if you want," she said quietly.
"Really?"
"That'd be awesome!"
"Maybe a couple holes around the neck?"
"Do you think you could write 'IDIOT' on this one?"
Y/n had only been half-listening, but she looked over at Michael with her brows raised when he said that. "You want me to write what?"
"I don't know, I think it'd be cool. Don't you?"
All four of them looked to her at that. Since the tour started, the boys went to her for fashion advice. That was technically her job, but it felt like she suddenly had four younger brothers.
"Y—Yeah. Very punk rock. I'll get on that right now."
"You're the best, June!"
"I could kiss you!"
"Please don't," she said, shoulders tensing when they all squeezed her.
The four boys left her alone in search of food—because they were always hungry—and Y/n got to work. Or tried to. She was alone for all of two seconds before the door slammed open.
"Really? You fucking stalked your way onto this tour?"
It was the first time Y/n had seen Harry since the one time she bumped into him in the hallway a few days ago. Y/n thought he'd looked irritated then, but he looked downright furious now. His face was red and mouth turned into an angry frown. Y/n tried to speak, but she couldn't. She just kept staring at him, hoping the words to explain would come.
"I—It's not what you think—"
"You're sick! Sick in the head! I'm calling security. I can't believe this," he said, muttering the last part.
Sniffling, Y/n looked down at the clothes she was supposed to fix up for the boys. Her boys, she sometimes thought. She couldn't believe this was actually happening. Harry was in front of her, and he...he was calling security on her.
"You—You don't have to do that," she finally said. When she stood up, Harry stepped away from her. "I'll go. I swear. I know how this looks, and I know you won't believe me, but this is a coincidence. But...I'll go. You don't need to call security. I'll leave."
Y/n grabbed her things and the boys' clothes, not looking at Harry once. She couldn't handle seeing the look in his eyes. But she felt it. His glare burned his skin. She shuffled out of the room, head bent with her things in her hands. On her way out, she bumped into something. Someone.
"Woah, June. Is everything okay?"
It was Luke. He looked concerned, but she couldn't find it in him to explain. "I'm—I'm fine. I'm just going to finish this stuff up on the bus, okay? I'll have it done before the show."
Before he could say anything else, she left, trying to ignore what sounded like an argument starting in the room she'd vacated.
Tumblr media
(three hours later)
Y/n was still on the tour bus fixing up the boys' clothes and waiting until it was time for her to leave for the airport. She knew she should've left right away, but she wanted to do this last thing. One last thing, and then she would be gone. It was almost time, and she'd finished cutting up the shirts, now she just needed to write the word 'IDIOT' on Michael's shirt. It was very fitting, Y/n felt like an absolute idiot for ever letting things get this far.
Still, she couldn't help but form a little smile as she sketched out the letters with a pencil. This job wasn't necessarily what Y/n had wanted, but it also wasn't what she initially expected. She liked the 5SOS guys, and she had to admit that there was something adventurous about going to a new city every few days. The point was, she liked it more than she thought she would, and now it was over.
(thirty minutes later)
Harry had been standing in front of the crew's tour bus for ten minutes. He wasn't sure if she was there, and he wasn't sure if he wanted her to be there. But he was standing in front of the bus door anyway, trying to decide if he was going to knock.
He'd been furious. Furious and alarmed and freaked out. When he'd gotten the first text from June, Harry immediately thought that she was some crazed fan who had somehow obtained his number. He slowly realized that wasn't the case, or so he thought. June had been lying this whole time, and not only that, she managed to become a crew member on tour.
When he heard her voice outside Five Seconds of Summer's dressing room, Harry was floored, and then he was scared, and then he was angry. Why couldn't people just leave him alone? It wasn't enough that he performed and gave all these little pieces of himself to the world. Why did everyone expect to give over all of himself?
And he talked to June about that at length, and he thought he was confiding in her, he thought they were sharing with each other. But she was...she was just lying to him.
And yet, she was still June. Months of texting and everything he felt didn't just evaporate because he discovered the truth. She was funny and charismatic and seemed to really like him, and he liked her too. A lot.
It was why he was at the bus. Harry wanted an explanation. He deserved that at least.
It took about a minute for the door to open after he knocked on it. She peeked her head out, watery red eyes surprised, and a little scared, to see him standing there. Mixed emotions flared in Harry's chest at the sight of her. Something squeezed his heart at finally putting a face to all the messages, to the girl he couldn't go more than a day without talking to. June was very pretty with a thick head of hair, high cheekbones, and pouty pink lips. Her nose was red, as if she'd been crying, and the part of Harry that cared about his friend hated seeing her like that, hated to know that this was how their first meeting was turning out. Harry had daydreamed about meeting June for the first time many times. A lot of times. None of his daydreams looked like this.
"Um, I promise I'm leaving. My flight is later tonight, and I just thought—It doesn't matter, I'll go."
Harry had met a good number of crazy fans over the years, and while he knew June was one of them, she seemed rather subdued. Instead of jumping him at any possible moment this entire tour, she minded her business and didn't try to talk to him once. Maybe he was believing in something he wanted to believe, but June didn't seem like the crazy stalker fan that she was.
"I want to talk. I want an explanation," he said.
June nodded, not opening the door any further but reaching her hand through the small crack. "I wrote it all down. I was going to give it to someone to give to you. It was the least I could do."
She didn't even want to talk to him? Was this all just an act to gain his sympathy? There was no way of knowing. If this was all one big con, June was a very good actress.
Harry took the note from June and unfolded it, reading it carefully.
H,
I just want to start off by saying that you have every right to be angry, I understand that I have betrayed your trust. And I have betrayed your trust, just not in the way that you might think.
I found out who you were a few days ago, it was why I was avoiding your texts. I'd overheard you talking to Michael and the other boys in their dressing room. It was right after we'd sent all our voice messages, and I just knew it was you who was behind the door. I couldn't quite believe it.
But I also didn't know how to tell you that I knew. I was shocked and confused...and to be honest I didn't know what to do with the information. I just...wasn't expecting you.
So I kept the secret for a little while I tried to figure out how to tell you, and...Well, you saw how that turned out.
I just want you to know that I had no idea who you were when we first started texting. I truly gave my number to some idiot that I slept with, and by some twist of fate, he gave me your number instead. I didn't want to text you, I didn't want to like you, I didn't...expect to share so much of myself with you. I know this is harder on you for so many reasons, and you are justified in not trusting me, but it was hard for me too. Part of me thought that if I told you and you saw me, really saw me, that you would be disappointed or not impressed or something like that. You mean meant mean a lot to me, and the thought of ruining our tentative friendship by us meeting scared me, so I foolishly thought I could avoid you the rest of the tour.
I'm sorry that you found out the way you did, and I'm sorry it caused you so much emotional pain. I know you probably won't trust anything I've said, but I hope this might help you understand. And with the hope that I don't come off as the obsessed stalker that you already think I am, I really did do like you, and all your secrets are safe with me, as I hope mine are with you.
All my love,
Yours,
Sincerely,
Best wishes,
June Bug
Harry looked read the letter once, then twice, then looked up at June, who was still hiding behind the bus door. It had closed that much more, like she was trying to shut him out.
He knew he had a right not to trust her, and part of him still didn't. But another him was pushing her toward him, drawing him to her. His gut was telling him to hear her out, that she was the June Bug from all of their messages.
His show was in a little over an hour. He had last minute things to do and pre-show rituals to complete, and he knew that people would start looking for him soon. But he didn't want to go.
"Can—Can I come in?" he found himself asking. "To talk?"
June's brows raised, like she wasn't quite expecting Harry to ask her that. Which was a valid thing to think, of course, but now he was hoping she would let him in. Or send him away so they could avoid a difficult conversation.
"Sure. Are you—Are you sure?" she asked him, thick brows furrowing. Harry would've found the wrinkle between them cute if it wasn't for the situation.
Was he sure? "Y—Yes."
Nodding, June opened the door further to let him inside. Harry's hand brushed against hers on his way past her, and she immediately recoiled. He ignored it, and looked down at her for the first time. Really looked at her.
She really was beautiful, there was no denying that. June had a kind face, one that held so much emotion in it. Harry felt like he could read every little feeling as it flitted across her face. And right now, she was looking at him like one word out of his mouth could make or break her. Unable to handle that kind of pressure, Harry focused on a little scar that cut into June's brow.
"Um, so obviously you're familiar with the layout of the bus. Do you want to sit at the couches in the back? Or the tables here, or we could just stand—"
"The couches are fine," Harry said.
“O—Okay. Couches it is."
June turned around and headed for the back of the bus, strands of her hair swishing with each step she took. Harry followed, wondering if he'd just made a huge mistake or was taking a risk worth taking.

When he loves you... || Rick Grimes (TWD)
When you love him (prequel)

Tumblr media
Alexandria. It was like a breath of fresh air, despite everyone still being skeptical -clean showers, clean houses, a home-
You were pleased, very pleased -even with your own doubts, you knew such a place was a miracle.
What you had noticed, however, was the wear and tear on your leader -he was stretched thin with every responsibility, and you knew he wasn't taking it well. Especially with Judith and Carl to take care of-
That's why you were here, at his doorstep, far past dinner. The sun set and the chill of the night dusting across your arms, you knocked.
You knew a long time ago that you were in love with Rick. It was more complicated then, with a wife and a baby and the loss- Some would argue it was less complicated now, with you a staple in his kid's life and his own.
He leaned on you like a rock, a friend, sure, but his rock. You weren't sure it was healthy on your part, honestly, but you loved him. You'd do anything to help him.
Once again, hence you being on his doorstep late in the night. Well, not late late, but you knew he wasn't asleep.
He wasn't sleeping, you knew that too, so-
The door swung open, and there he was -newly shaven and clean jaw. You hadn't seen that yet.
"When did you-" you motioned around your chin, it came out like an instinct -the beard was one thing, but now.
"This mornin'," he answered like it was normal for you to be at his doorstep -which it kind of was. You'd been gone all day on runs, you led a lot of them now -another thing to help Rick, now that you realized.
"Looks-" you cleared your throat, awkwardly, "-Looks good, Rick. Haven't seen you like that since-"
"The farm," he answered, smiling a little at what you weren't sure. It was nice to see, though.
"Well, yeah," you agreed, before shaking your head out of the stupor (stupid jawline-), "-Wait, I have a reason for showing up, actually."
"Don't need one," he hummed, offhandedly -opening the door more to let you in.
"I do, though," you echoed, something swirling in your stomach at the words -you stood squarely on the porch, "-Look, let me take Judith tonight."
"What?"
"I said-"
"No, no," he clarified, "-I know what ya said. Just... why?"
You stood your ground, a little intimidating but you always were with his health, "I know you haven't been sleeping."
"And you want to-"
"Help," you finished, "-I can stay here if you want, but I thought I'd take her a night, so you could at least try to sleep. I know you're busy the rest of the day, so-"
"I love you," he breathed out like it was a fact -as simple as the sun setting.
You froze, your tongue heavy in your mouth -your heart stilling in your chest. Did you really hear that right? Did he-
"Let's talk," he spoke, like his words were as normal as 'how was your day', and he nudged open the door even further -inviting you in, "'At okay?"
"Uh, yeah," you answered, a bit on instinct -your brain was running a mile a minute, all you heard was those words bouncing around your brain, 'I love you.' Had he really-
He guided you to the couch, motioning you to sit where you want -you chose on the far left, hopefully far enough to take a few breaths. Calm down-
Rick sat right beside you, your knees bumping into each other -his side pushed into yours. So much for a breath-
"Rick," you echoed, a little lost, "-did you-"
He sighed, a big loud one, and you were startled into silence, "You know I know all ya do for me, right?"
"Yes," you answered decidedly.
"Bringin' me a plate from Carol's, leadin' on runs, hell you even volunteer for baby duty," he laughed, "-No one wants baby duty."
"Well," you stammered, "-you haven't been sleeping, I just-"
"You care," he hummed, turning to face you, "-a whole lot. Always have."
"Well-"
"You deserve to know people care 'bout you, too," he echoed, now wrapping your hands in his, "-a whole lot."
"You-" you started, slowly.
"I love you," he confessed, like it was as easy as breathing, before laughing and adding, "-a whole lot."
Your mouth ran without thinking, "I love you too."
"I know," he smiled, a twinkly sort of one and you realized now he was just smiling at you.
You opened your mouth to ask how, but he cut you to the chase.
"Like I said, no one wants baby duty."

mr. dr. chuck, i'm a few months ago i told a doc of mine that i believe i'm on the spectrum (after yeeeears of considering all the reasons why i thought so) and she agreed with me. then i came to some conclusions about members of my family. then i started melting down and haven't really recovered.
i'm in my 30's, but my life feels like it's been the mistake-addled 24th year for over a decade. people, choices, wants, they feel like things that were silly blips and not of much substance. i'm tired and my body hurts, so it feels harder to get to things i need. doctors don't seem like they can be trusted because of all the other ways i show up in the world.
i'm worried about my life and my future, and it feels like my magic is gone (or that i can't touch it right now). do you have any words of wisdom for someone who found out this really big thing about themselves kind of late?
thank you.
hello buckaroo thank you for writing. first of all i will say MOST IMPORTANT thing to remember is that it is okay and valid to FEEL the way that you feel. your reaction to this news or any news really is not wrong. that does not mean you cant wish for another reaction or WORK TOWARDS another reaction, but in grand cosmic sense this is just your way. YOUR TROT IS VALID and we all have our own unique way. sometimes that path is an easy path with sunny days and smiles and a glorious view, and sometimes it is through the darkness of shadows or crawling through the old bog. we can PREFER one path over the other, but neither is WRONG.
when giving advice old chuck tries to not PROJECT what i think YOU should do because that is not really the point. this is your trot to trot and i do not think it is my place to act like some authority of your way. what chuck can do is tell you MY story of diagnosis and how it made ME feel and maybe you can take little pieces of that for yourself.
chuck learned of way on autism spectrum when i was in early twenties by doctor who said 'yes this is your way'. when i learned of my spectrum way my reaction was: wow this is very very cool i am so lucky because all of my heroes are autistic and now i am in this RADICAL CLUB. we are special and unique and DANG what a treat wish i could have a membership card in my wallet to show all my buds.
now obviously this is not everyones reaction, but as starting off point i wonder what it would have meant to my future if the news would have HIT ME IN A BAD WAY. if i would have felt let a dang robot alien who didnt belong. maybe id be swimmin through the bog ever since.
thing is I LIKE ROBOT ALIENS they are very cool. doctor did not MAKE me different, i was different already, our talks just popped a nice little name on it for me to take or leave. i took the name proudly because DATA from stars trek (certified robot alien) is exactly how i already felt and dang what a cool character and dang what a great life. so was DAVID BYRNE. so was every cool buckaroo artist that i liked. cowboys are OUTSIDER HEROES and that is how my autism makes me feel.
so like i said, i do not know about YOUR way, but MY WAY of hearing this news was heaps of joy and excitement. i will also say that it is very DIFFICULT to find this reaction later if your first leap is feeling in a sad way about it. so maybe if you want to trot back in your mind to those first few steps it would be helpful. maybe mentally trot to where you were pushed off a dang cliff and think "well was i pushed off a cliff or was i just told 'hey bud youve been floating this whole time?"'
because if youve been floating then DANG thats a lot of power. thats not falling. you can float up, you can float down, you can float side to side.
the next thing i will say AS AND ARTIST is that years of toiling and feeling aimless are NEVER actually aimless when it comes to creation. and to LIVE in a human body is to be an artist, because you are CONSTANTLY CREATING the future. when i am writing and i dont have an idea for my next book that can be frustrating, but it is also PART of the process. if i walk to the store to rustle up my mind, or wander around the park, or spend a whole WEEK feeling weird because of writers block THAT IS ALL PART OF MAKING GREAT ART. that is not wasted time. in other words, your years of toiling are not wasted time, that is just the process we all have when we are creating a future masterpiece.

Hi, could you write a player reader x wanda where yn has the fame of player but deep down she wanted to be in love but she was afraid because she was adopted and never felt any type of love until a woman adopted her. Yn and Wanda met and she helped Yn a bit with maths(for example) and they started to feel for each other but Yn didn't want to say anything because why Wanda would feel something for her? But one day, yn didn't go to school, and Wanda went to Yn's house and she found yn in there crying because she lost her mom and in that moment, Wanda swore to always protect her and show her the love she feels for her
You're not alone
Tumblr media
NO ONE'S POV With a huge smile on her face Y/N's telling her mom about her day. Her mother listening to her daughter's every word, smiling weakly while rubbing Y/N's knuckles with her thumb.
It's been a while since Y/N's mother got sick and had to go to the hospital. Y/N was absolutely devastated, but now her mother's feeling better and the doctors assured her that her mother's condition is a lot better, so Y/N's trying her best to come every day at least once and tell her mom everything what happens in her life.
"Math isn't so good, but I'm working on that, so no worries. We have a new girl in class and she's quite good at all the math stuff, so I'm planning to ask her for help" Y/N assures her mother. "Oh, look at the time! I'm running late already. I'll stop by after school, mom. I love you!" The girl presses a kiss to her mother's cheek, quickly taking her bag and rushing out of the hospital.
Y/M/N can't help but let out a chuckle, shaking her head with a smile as she's watching her daughter rushing out.
Luckily Y/N makes it to school just on time, running to her classroom before the bell rings, accidentally bumping into some girl and causing all of her books to fall on the ground.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" Y/N quickly apologizes, bending down to help the girl pick up her books, locking eyes with her to realize it's the new girl. "That's okay" The brunette smiles.
"Oh, it's you! The new girl… Hm. Wanda, right?" Y/N questions, receiving a nod. "Hm. I know we haven't really talked yet, but I would really-"
"I won't go out with you" Wanda blurts out on which Y/N tilts her head in confusion. "Sorry, I'm not someone you can change after a week of dating. I-"
"I wasn't trying to ask you out" Y/N stops the brunette right there.
There's a well-known fact on the entire school that Y/N is a player. Her longest relationship lasted for about two weeks. She really wants to find someone who would love her and whom would she love, yet that hasn't happened yet.
Maybe that's caused by the fact that she's never really felt a real love until she got adopted 6 years ago.
A simple 'oh' leaves Wanda's lips, her cheeks turning red at the akward moment.
"I was just hoping you would help me with math? I have no clue what's going on there and you seemed to understand in the last few lessons, so I was hoping you'd help me out a little bit please?" Y/N asks, hoping to get a yes.
She really wants to get a good mark, so she could show it to her mom and assure her she's doing okay, so she wouldn't worry.
"Oh, sure, I can help. Sorry about that before, I didn't mean to-"
"No, that's fine. Can we meet up after shool?" Y/N questions with a smile, looking into the green eyes and searching for an answer.
———
It's been over a month since Wanda started helping Y/N with math and Y/N's grades got a lot better ever since. Though lately there's only one thing on Y/N's mind and it surely isn't school… Wanda.
For some reason Y/N just can't stop thinking about her, but whenever Y/N decides to tell Wanda, she gets insecure. Why would Wanda feel something for her? Why would she like her back?
After all, she always remembers their first encounter, how Wanda rejected her even though she wasn't about to ask her out. The whole school is talking about it, Y/N is a player, so why would Wanda want to date her?
Wanda, on the other hand, is feeling the same. Her mind is constantly wandering around Y/N and she just can't stop it. But she's certain Y/N doesn't feel the same and she definitely doesn't want to be another girl Y/N played with.
Wanda steps into the classroom, expecting to see Y/N's bright smile, but her seat is empty. Wanda shakes it off though, maybe Y/N was visiting her mom again or she just overslept, right?
There still is this weird feeling, telling Wanda something's wrong. She's been waiting for Y/N to arrive, yet the girl just isn't showing up. Something must have happened.
So as soon as the last lesson ends, Wanda rushes to Y/N's house, ringing the bell and knocking at the door without any response.
"I know you're here, Y/N!" She doesn't, but it's worth a try. What if Y/N is sick and needs help? Or what if she got hurt?
Few seconds later the door finally opens, revealing the young girl in a horrible state. Her hair is messy and her eyes bloodshot red from crying.
Wanda's just happy to see her in that moment and immediately pulls the girl in for a tight hug.
"You got me worried sick. Why didn't you text me you wouldn't come to school today?" Wanda lets out a sigh, pulling away from the hug and finally noticing the state Y/N is in. "What's wrong? What happened, Y/N/N?" She asks, cupping the girl's cheeks and wiping her tears away with her thumbs.
"… My mom died" Y/N sobs out, burying her face into Wanda's neck and crying again.
"I am so sorry" Wanda nearly whispers, rubbing Y/N's back and squeezing her eyes shut.
Y/N told her everything about her horrible childhood and how she got adopted. The girl would never ever tell anyone, but for some reason, she felt like she could tell Wanda.
"She was the only one I had" Y/N hiccups, Wanda feeling tears in her eyes as well.
"That's not true. You have me. And I will help you with everything" Wanda smiles slightly, wiping Y/N's running tears.
"Why would you? No one ever cared for me, only my mom. So why would you help?" Y/N asks, stepping back a little bit.
"Because I care, Y/N. I have feelings for you… I-I love you. I want to be here for you and I want to protect you" Wanda confesses, slowly taking Y/N's hands in hers.
"Y-you do?" Y/N questions, her voice cracking a little.
"I do" Wanda smiles, bringing one of her hands up to Y/N's face and tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
"I-I have feelings for you too. I was scared to tell you. I thought that you would never feel the same" Y/N admits, her eyes filling with tears once again.
"Come here" Wanda pulls Y/N in for another hug, rubbing her back and letting her cry. "I'm here for you, honey. I'll help you with everything. You're not alone"

I thought we were over
For my dearest twin, @h3apm3ch4n151m :)
Warning(s): implied murder, yandere/stalker ex reader!! That's right, it's not a yandere character this time, it's you.
Also, Floyd is a teensy bit OOC for this, but there is a reason for it, so please bear with me.
Tumblr media
...three years, four months, seven days, two hours, thirty minutes, five seconds ago.
That's when Floyd broke up with you.
You don't know why. You can't possibly understand why. You were perfect for him, you still are!
Let's count the reasons you're perfect for him, shall we?
You love him (obviously!!)
You're able to tolerate his... behaviors.
You help him appear less threatening.
You helped him get his grades to be more consistent.
You helped him with those pesky mood swings.
You love him (again)
You love him (one more time, just to emphasize)
You love him.
You love him, and yet... he abandoned you.
He said you weren't worth his time anymore. He said you were... bad for him.
And just like that, after the two of you being together for so long... he just broke up with you.
...three years, four months, seven days, two hours, thirty-one minutes, ten seconds ago.
You've been keeping track of him ever since.
You just want to make sure he's doing alright, that's all, nothing more!
Recently... he's been... seeing someone.
It makes you sick to even think of him being with someone other than you... especially when they're nowhere near as perfect for him as you were.
They'll just end up hurting him in the end.
Unlike you, his perfect partner.
...the audacity of him. Saying you're "bad for him", what does that even mean? All you ever did was help him and love him to the FULLEST extent. You were around him all the time, you really got to know him and his issues... and you helped him.
How did you help him? That's easy. You simply told him not to speak without your permission- unless of course he was speaking to you... and he listened like the good little boy he is... because he loves you. Even if he's with someone else now, you know deep down he still loves you... and he always will, because you're perfect for him.
You're the perfect match for him and you always will be. Hell, you even chose to never return to your home, because you loved him just that much. Doesn't that show how eternally devoted you are to him? How much you love him?
Why can't he see that?
...
No matter.
He will, soon.
He'll realize soon, that the two of you are meant to be together, forever and always.
All you need to do is pull a few little strings... a few things to set him off like always... and just like that, his new partner will see the ugly side of him. Yelling and fighting... screaming and crying... a storm of emotions nobody in their right mind would want to stay with... nobody except you, of course, because you taught him how to behave himself.
Wait... why haven't they broken up yet...?
That person he's with, did they not fully comprehend what was happening? Do they think that's okay?
Ugh. Regardless of why this new partner of his isn't getting themselves the hell out of that relationship they aren't supposed to be in, the point still stands that you must now take desperate measures. It's the only option!
And that's why you are where you are right now... standing at his back door, covered in blood.
"Shrimpy-?! What are you doing here, why are you covered in blood-?!" He's uncharacteristically freaked out... ah, adorable as always.
"Take me back. You know we're perfect for each other." You tell him the truth. You're the only person good enough for him.
"We broke up three years ago-"
"Three years, four months, nine days, five hours, seven minutes, two seconds ago."
"...creep." He looks... disgusted. "You still haven't told me why you're covered in blood."
"I got rid of what was in the way, that's all."
He seems to get the hint.
"Get the hell off my property and never show your face to me again, Shrimpy."
"You're still calling me that nickname... doesn't that mean, in some way, you still love me-?"
"No, I do that for everyone. It means nothing, and you're delusional to think it ever did."
"But I know there's another name you used to call me, remember? The one I taught you about... the special nickname, just for me..." You laugh to yourself. "I heard you still call me that."
"I-!" He seems a bit freaked out. "That... that doesn't mean anything..." He's always so careful around you, because he knows what you'll do if he isn't... it's cute how scared he is of you, a human.
"Admit it: you still love me, like how I still love you."
"No, I'm not goi-"
"Say it now or you know what will happen."
"...okay... fine... maybe..."
"No, I want to hear you say the words exactly."
He hesitates for a moment.
"...I... still love you, Shrimpy."
"And?"
"And... I'll take you back, and we can... be together... forever."
"That's just what I wanted to hear. Good eel."
And just like that, your life returned to the perfect way it was before...
And Floyd will never slip through your grasp again.

Like a Virgin
Tumblr media
Pairing: Rooster x Reader (Call Sign: Blaze)
Warnings: Language, drinking, Smut, insecurities, virginity, Minors DNI 18+
Frustration. That's all you can think of right now as you make out with your boyfriend on the couch of his apartment.
Why are you frustrated? What reason do you have? You're a Navy pilot at the top of her career, you have amazing friends, and a boyfriend who you are certain God took extra time making, with both his looks and his personality.
You had a man, who despite his questionable fashion choices, loved you more than anything in the world, who looked at you as if you hung the moon, who worshiped the ground you walked on. Rooster Bradshaw was perfect.
You knew then man loved you and you could feel the evidence of his desire straining against his jeans as you straddled his lap while you kissed him.
So why were you so damn frustrated right now?
You were frustrated because at thirty years old, you were a virgin. And in the six months you had been with Rooster, you never told him. He definitely wasn't one to pressure you into sex or anything in that neighborhood. You had told him you wanted to take things slow, you felt like he was the one for you and you didn't want to screw it up.
That, and some well executed blow jobs seemed to satisfy him. You weren't necessarily hiding the fact that you hadn't had sex from him, but it embarrassed you. How many thirty years old had a man that looked like him and treated them the way he treats you aren't weren't jumping their bones?
What was even worse is that you hadn't done anything in the intimacy department. Though previous boyfriends had tried you psyched yourself out and shut them down, much like you had done to Rooster in the past. Sure you had given, but had never received
You knew deep down he would be able to make you feel good, but the thought of having to tell him scared you. What scared you even more though, was a conversation you had accidentally over heard between him and Hangman a few days ago at the Hard Deck.
"Rooster I know that Blaze has got to be giving you a run for your money in the bedroom." Hangman said to him. "Actually we haven't... we haven't slept together yet." Rooster admitted sheepishly. Hangman almost spit out his beer. "Bradshaw you guys have been together what... six months and you haven't screwed? You're a better man than I am because if it was me I might start looking elsewhere" Hangman finished.
You were too embarrassed to stay for the rest of the conversation. But in the back of your mind you wondered if Hangman was right. What if Rooster started to look elsewhere because you weren't sleeping with him? What if he got tired of waiting? You couldn't lose him because of your irrational fear, so you made up your mind that tonight you were going to have sex with him, virginity be damned.
You were almost naked in his lap, down to just your bra and panties. You were trying so hard to let yourself fall into this moment, to enjoy it, yet you felt like you were going to burst into tears at any moment.
"Rooster —wait... Rooster, I'm sorry, stop." You stated pulling away from him. You could feel the tears building. His hands went to your thighs rubbing soothing circles on them.
"Honey are you okay? Did I hurt you? Did I do something wrong Blaze?" He asked, his voice deep with concern.
"No, it's not you Bradley, you're perfect." You whimpered out as the tears streaked your cheeks.
"Y/N, baby what's wrong?" He asked pulling you close to him.
"It's not you, it's me. I, I..." you couldn't finishing
"You what?" Rooster asked, worried about you.
"I— I've never— I'm... I'm a virgin Rooster." You finally confess to him.
"Oh" He responds softly as if he isn't sure what to say next.
"I've never had sex, I've never done really anything. It's pathetic I know, and feel so bad because I know you have and that you want to. I know you have needs, and then the other night I heard you and Hangman talking about how if he was you he would go looking somewhere else for those needs to be met and that freaked me out because I don't want to lose you so I figured I could just get over it and we could do just it, but, but I'm scared." You spill your guts to him.
He takes your face in his hands a day wipes your cheeks. "Y/N, honey... I don't care if you're a virgin, and I would never leave you because we aren't sleeping together. Hangman is an ass and I told him as much after he said that. If you aren't ready, if you aren't 100% I'm fine with waiting."
God Bradley really was perfect. "But I am ready, I want this, I want you." You whisper.
"Okay." He responds before kissing you. The next thing you know, Rooster is lifting you off the couch and taking you to his room.
"What are you doing?" You ask. "I wanna do this the right way. I don't want your first time, our first time together to be on a couch. I want to take you to bed so I can properly love you.
You silently nod your head and wrap your body around Rooster, clinging to him like a koala on a tree.
His grasp on youis tight as he carries you through his home, his lips never leaving your skin as he kisses your neck, your jaw, your shoulder, any inch of skin that is exposed to him that he can get to.
Your nails dig into his shoulder blades as he kisses a sensitive spot behind your ear and you let our a breathy moan.
"Fuck sweetheart, that sounds so good, can't wait to see what other sounds I can get out of you." Rooster whispers in your ear as he opens the door to his bedroom and gently deposits you on his bed.
"Get comfortable baby. I'm going to take my time with you." Rooster tells you as you. You slide into the center of his California king and lay back on his pillows.
To him you looked like an angel with your hair fanned out around your face. The lace baby pink set you have on is a stark contrast to his grey duvet.
You look at him with big doe eyes through your long lashes. God, you look so fucking innocent, he can't believe that he is the one that gets to have you first, that you trust him enough to do this, that he is the first one to ever see you like this, and if he has it his way, he'll be the only one to ever have you.
"Darlin, God, you look—fuck, you look amazing." Rooster tells you as he moves onto the bed.
He pulls you flush against him as you lay on your side and kisses you again. This time it's sweeter than before... like he is trying to savor you.
His large hands find your hip. He guided your leg over him. Bringing the two of you even closer. He trails his hand up and skims over the lace panties you are wearing. His hand travels further until it finds the clasp of your bra.
"Can I?" He asks. "Yes." You breath out. He flicks it open with one had. Of course he would be able to do that.
He pulls the lace away from you and you roll onto your back. You quickly bring your hands up covering yourself.
"Honey, don't do that. You're beautiful. I want to see you." He tuts as he pulls them away from your chest.
You take a few deep breaths. You aren't scared, this is Bradley, your Bradley who tears up at the ASPCA commercials on TV. You're just neverous.
"I'm going to touch you now. Y/N, if I do anything you don't like, or you get uncomfortable, just tell me and we can stop. I promise I won't be mad. Okay?" He states.
You nod your head as one of his hands comes up to skim your breast.
You gasp at the sensation. He continues to palm it when his mouth finds your other one, he tentively captures your nipple in his mouth.
"Ah" you gasp as your hand flys to his hair. "Everything okay?" Rooster asks you. "Yes, feels good." You reply.
He tongue circles the sensitive flesh causing you to squirm underneath him. He keeps it up for a few minutes before switching to the other one.
The sensation has you grinding your thighs together, seeking some much needed friction.
Rooster can tell you want more. He slowly trails his lips down your stomach and stops at the waist band of your underwear. He peppers your hips with kisses before looking up to you, a silent plea for your permission to continue.
You shake your head and he carefully pulls them down your legs and drops them to the floor.
He grabs your ankle and trails wet kisses from it to your knee before switching to the other. He peppers the inside of your thighs with kisses, sucking and biting a few marks into them, claiming you as his.
"Rooster—" you breath out, not sure how to ask what you need.
"I've got you darlin." He coos before tentatively licking your slit.
"Oh fuck." You cry out, hips jerking off the bed. "So sensitive, so wet, and all for me." He says to you or to himself, you aren't sure.
He starts out slow, tongue sweeping long, broad strokes through your folds before he circles it around your clit, cause you to moan his name, God it sounds so good to him, he continues.
"Baby you taste so good, sweeter than fucking honey." He tells you. You aren't able to respond because his full lips are wrapping around your clit sucking it into his warm wet mouth.
"Oh Rooster, feels so good!" You cry out slipping your hand into his hair and grinding down on his face.
He continues to alternate linking and sucking on your clit, everything feels so good, you can feel an orgasm approach, but you need more.
"Roo— Bradley, please I need" You don't know what you're asking him for.
"What do you need pretty girl, tell me what you need." He coaxed you.
"You fingers, I need them in me please!" You gasp.
"Okay baby. Tell me if it's too much." He states before gently pushing his middle finger into you.
"So tight." He whispers. He slowly works his finger through your folds, finding that spongey spot inside you and stroking it.
You throw your head back and cry out his name. Soon his ring finger is slipping inside you to join his other.
Your hips grind down on his hand, chasing a feeling that no one has ever made you feel.
The grip you have in his hair tightens as he spreads you open further for him. His face is buried deep in your core, his nose bumps your clit as you grind against him, the fine hairs of his mustache further adds to the pleasure.
His broad fingers scissor your walls drawing you closer and closer to your peak.
Rooster grinds his hips into the mattress, enjoying this moment, perhaps even more than you are if that's possible.
Soon, your clenching around his fingers as they work in tandem with his mouth.
"Roo—Bra—I—I" you don't know how to tell him.
"I know you're close baby, let go. Cum for me pretty girl, I want to watch you fall apart for me. He encourages you.
His words cause the band to snap and soon, you're cumming all over his face and hands, but he doesn't stop. He continues to lap at you as if you're his last meal, drawing every ounce of pleasure from you, it's almost too much and before you even realize what's happening, you cum again, crying out his name as your thighs clamp around his head. White spots cloud your vision and you arent sure if you want to pull him closer or push him away.
Thankfully you don't have to decide because he has mercy on you and pulls your legs off of him and climbs back up the bed.
"You still with me pretty girl?" He asks brushing your sweat slicked hair from your face.
"Thank you, that—that was something else" you tell him panting, trying to catch your breath.
"Don't thank me just yet baby." He winks at you.
"Do you want to keep going, we can stop if you want to." He assures you.
"No, please, I don't want to stop, I want you so badly Bradley, I want all of you. I want to give you all of me." You tell him as your green eyes meet his.
He cups his hands around your face and kisses you sweetly before removing his boxers. He reaches for his night stand and fumbles in one of the drawers for a minute.
Then it dawns on you what he is looking for.
"I'm on the pill." You blurt out "And... well... obviously I'm clean." You continue.
"I'm clean too... are you sure?" Rooster asks.
You nod your head. "Okay." He states before kissing you again.
He lays you flat on your back, head propped up on some pillows before he moves his body over you.
"If it's too much, or it hurts, or anything and you want to stop, just tell me." He says.
You smile up at him knowing that he is going to take care of you.
You feel the head of his cock pressing against your entrance. His arms are by either side of your head, steadying himself, you grip the sheets at your sides as he slowly pushes into you.
You knew he was big, and you also knew he tried to warm you up with his fingers, but his cock still stretched you as he pushed in. You could tell he was going slow. The stretch of him burned, a few tears pricked your eyes, but you didn't want him to stop. You wanted this so badly.
"Almost there baby, you're doing so good, taking me so well." Rooster praised you sensing your discomfort.
After what felt like ages of him entering you, he was finally buried in you to the hilt.
He let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding.
Your hands left the sheets and went to his back, drawing him closer to you.
"Are you okay baby? Do you want to stop?" He asked, feeling how tense you were.
"No, I just need a minute, I feel, really full." You try to explain to him.
You took deep breaths as you slowly began to relax around him. You drew in a deep breath and slightly adjusted your hips, causing Rooster to hiss.
"Bradley, you can move. Just go slow please." You told him after what felt like ages to you buy was maybe only a few minutes.
His hips began to gently rock against yours. Testing the waters to find out what you liked, what gave you pleasure.
At first your nails dug into his shoulder blades, but as he continued, your relaxed and gave yourself over to the pleasure.
Soon, he was picking up the pace as your sounds turned from small whimpers to moans of pleasure.
"Oh. Oh. Oh. Baby that feels so good. Oh God Rooster, right there—just like that!" You cried out when he hooked your legs over his shoulders giving him a a chance to thrust deeper into you. The angle at which his cock was driving into you made it graze your g-spot over and over again.
"You feel so good around me pretty girl. Can't believe you trusted me enough to let me be your first. My fucking beautiful baby, your pussy was fucking made for me." Rooster praise you as he continued to move against you.
His fingers gripped the meat of your hips bringing them to meet his thrusts. You were sure you would be able to count ten finger shaped bruises on them tomorrow but you didn't care.
He moved faster again you, enough to push you towards your peak, but not enough to hurt you.
Rooster knew there would be a time where he could be rougher with you, but this was your first, he wanted you to enjoy it. While he wanted to go faster and harder, because fuck did you you feel good around him, and damn if he didn't want to cum deep in you and make you so cock drunk that you forgot what your name was, because he did, this wasn't about him.
No, this was about you. You weren't some random girl he had taken home for the night, no, you were the love of his life and the woman he was certain he was going to marry.
You trusted him enough to be vulnerable with him, and he wanted to make sure you were satisfied.
"Bradley, faster, harder, please." You moaned underneath him. He picked up his pace slightly, pulling you to meet his hips with each thrust.
You were on cloud nine. Each snap of his hips wound you tighter and tighter. Rooster was taking such good care of you. He was everything you ever could have wanted.
He continued to push into you, bringing his hips flush with yours each time.
You felt like heaven around him. The way he filled you was perfect, the way your walls clenched him, he had never felt anything like it, nothing came close to this feeling head had right now. The euphoria of being one with you. Not even flying made him feel this good.
Rooster never understood what some of his friends told him about taking someone's virginity, about how it was one of the greatest things they had ever experienced.
All of the women he had been with had experience.
He thought his friends were full of shit honestly, but boy, was he wrong.
Now he knew what they meant. It wasn't just how you felt around him, it was the connection you shared that made it so much better
The fact that he was the first one to draw these sounds from you, the first one to give you this pleasure. The first one to feel the velvet of your walls wrapped around him... it was fucking addictive and he was sure he would never get enough of it.
He had never thought of himself has the possessive type until now, you were his, all of you was his and his alone. The way you squeeze around him and pulled him in, the way your body accepted him, felt like it was made for him, and well, it would be a cold day in hell before he ever let someone else experience this.
He wanted you all to himself, forever and always.
"Babe, are you close pretty girl?" He asked as his hips began to falter. He wasn't going to be able to last much longer.
"I'm close, but I don't know if I can again. I want you to cum Rooster, you can if you need to. You already made me feel so good." You told him earnestly.
Rooster thought it was so sweet how you wanted to take care of him, but he needed to make you cum one more time.
He craved the feeling of your velet heat clenching down on him and milking him for all he had.
One of his hands left your hip and came to were your bodied met. He began to draw tight circles over your clit pushing you to the edge.
The new feeling overwhelmed you. You threw your head back and closed your eyes as a third orgasm rapidly approached you.
"Fuck, Bradley... I'm gonna cum!" You cried, rolling your hips to meet his.
"That's it pretty girl, I know you can do it." He encouraged you as his rhythm stuttered.
"Open your eyes baby, I want to see how beautiful you look when you fall apart on my cock pretty girl." Rooster commands. Your eyes snap open and with one, two, three more deep thrusts you cry out his name while your body shakes and pleasure overtakes you. You cling to him for dear life as he falls over the edge, spilling into you.
You aren't sure how long the two of you stay like that, but eventually the weight of Rooster's body on you becomes too much and you push him off.
He smiles at you, it's goofy and a little lopsided from the post sex high.
"That was amazing." You tell him.
"Best I've ever had." He tells you.
Now it's your turn have a goofy smile.
He pulls you tightly against him. You could stay like this forever, but suddenly you are aware of the sticky sensation between your thighs, and your need for the bathroom.
"Rooster, I need to pee." You say sheepishly. He just laughs.
He give your a quick peck on the lips before scooping you up and taking you to the bathroom. He gives you a few minutes to take care of business before he comes back with one of his shirt and a fresh pair of boxers on.
He sets you up on the counter next to him.
He wets a cloth in the sink and cleans you up. Then he slips his shirt over your head and carries you back to the bed before tucking you into some fresh sheets.
He curls up beside you and you bury your face into his chest. Your body suddenly heavy with sleep.
"Bradley." You mumble against him.
"Yes baby?" He asks stroking your hair.
"I love you."
"I love you too pretty girl, I love you too."

Visiting the dentist
Rodrigo was really not looking forward to this day. He had a dentist appointment today and really didn't want to go - but his tooth ache was getting worse every day.
He hated going to the dentist with a passion. Everything about it was just painful or disturbing. No one should be allowed to operate a fricking drill inside his mouth! Even imagining the noise, it would produce made the hairs on his neck stand up in terror.
Standing in the cold winter air in front of the dentist's office made the pain in his mouth even worse, but he struggled whether to enter or just screw it and drive home immediately.
Tumblr media
It was no use - on a rational level he knew the pain would only get worse. He sighed and entered the dental office. It was warmer in there, which was good. After hanging up his coat, he didn't actually have to wait long. There were no other patients in the waiting area, which was probably because of the time of day. Rodrigo was an author, so he had the luxury of being able to make appointments like this when other people were at work.
He was a little surprised though, as the person who entered the room after him was not the old woman who was torturing his teeth the last time, but a young and reasonably attractive man, who immediately shook his hand. Rodrigo could very much imagine that man not in a doctors coat but on a beach somewhere, just standing and looking good.
Tumblr media
"Hi! I'm Garret, how are you feeling today?"
"Fine", Rodrigo lied, and added: "What happened to Dr. Shaffer?"
"Oh, she retired - actually two years ago! You haven't been here for a while?" Garret answered with a warm smile.
Rodrigo shook his head. "No. To be quite honest I don't like the dentist very much. Not you in particular Dr..."
"Just Garret is fine", Garret said.
"Dr. Garret.", Rodrigo continued, "But the whole place just gives me the creeps."
"No worries!" Garret laughed. "I don't know too many people who actually enjoy visiting the dentist. So, Rodrigo, what brings you to us today?"
Rodrigo didn't know if he was comfortable with the doctor being so first-name-basis with him but went along with it anyway. "Right, so, my teeth are aching, and it's really painful by now. I probably should have come sooner, but,..."
Garret interrupted him. "No worries. Let's just have a look and fix you up. Please get on the chair and open your mouth."
Rodrigo gulped and sat on the clean black faux leather dentist chair. This is where the hell began.
Garret carefully probed around in Rodrigos mouth, using his gloved hand to do so. After a while, he sighed and said:
"Well, there's a whole lot of caries in there I'm afraid. I can start to remove it right away, but it won't be pleasant."
"Ugh." Was all that Rodrigo was able to get out.
"There is another alternative, though. It's a bit more costly but it comes with additional perks. We can fix your teeth entirely painlessly by a new procedure. You will be better than new!"
"Painless sounds good. Okay, I'll take it. What do I have to do?"
"Great choice, Rodrigo. This procedure is really quick. Please take off your shirt."
That struck Rodrigo as a strange request, but everything was better than the drill. So, he exposed his unimpressive white chest, while Garret entered a few commands into his computer.
"Alright, this will only take a few moments. Have fun!" Garret smiled. Rodrigo couldn't help but notice the tent in the doctors trousers. Did he get a boner for some reason?
Suddenly, Rodrigo felt warm. The pulsating pain in his mouth ebbed almost instantly, but the changes did not stop there! His skin cleared up and his face grew a tiny bit squarer than before. Then, the changes continued from his face downward. Suddenly, his arms inflated with muscles, as well as his chest. His shoulders widened and his frame became way more masculine. It didn't expand to bodybuilder-like proportions, but he became way beefier than before. His abs became more defined as well. On his chest, a slight coating of hair grew in, and his skin tone became a healthy shade of tanned pink. Inside his pants, he could feel his pelvis growing wider and packing on meat, as well as his legs, which became stronger and fitter as well. Even his feet expanded a good one or two shoe sizes!
Last, but finally not least, Rodrigo felt his cock increase in size as well. It felt like getting hard, and he probably also was - but the final size of his stiff cock was considerably larger than what he measured before.
In just a few minutes, Rodrigo had been improved all over - including, but certainly not limited to, a whole new set of teeth, which were new and healthy as they could be. Full of wonder, he looked up to Garret, only to find that the other man had gotten rid of his own shirt as well and bent down to him, smiling and asking:
"Care to try out the full package before you leave?"

PROMISE
All Cove wants is to see you happy, and all Baxter wants is to reassure him that he was going to do exactly that.
a/n; takes place some time during step 4 when your friends throw you another surprise party and you're off talking to someone else. i just think the two most important men in mc's life should interact a little more. implied step 3 ending on a bad note.
Tumblr media
The twinkle of the fairy lights that hang from every wall of the first floor is mesmerizing. It's simple decoration, easy to put up, easy to get down, but beautiful all the same. The soft glow it emits puts Baxter at ease; even more so when accompanied by the sight of your smiling face.
His heart skips a beat when you glance over in his direction, your eyes meeting for the briefest moments. You discreetly wave at him, trying your best to not interrupt whatever story Terry is going on about, and he gives you a wave of his own back. He doesn't even try to fight the smile that tugs at his lips.
It was such a straightforward interaction, one that lasted all but three seconds, but just that was enough for him to feel the butterflies in his stomach lurch into a frenzy.
He's so enthralled by you, in fact, that he doesn't even notice the sound of someone making their way closer to him until they're already speaking.
"Uhm, how... how are you enjoying the party?" It's an expected question coming from an unexpected source.
Baxter turns to face the new presence by his side, more than a little surprised. Out of all the people here, Cove Holden would be the last person he expected to initiate a conversation, but the appearance isn't unwelcomed. Far from it.
"It's been fun," he says with full sincerity.
Despite the sparse decorations and only handful of people here, Baxter would say with his full heart that this is the best party he's ever been to. Surrounded by people who really care for him, those who took the time out of their day to surprise him even after all the stunts he's pulled. "Thank you for your part in this. I deeply appreciate it."
"Oh," Cove sputters, apparently flustered by the earnestness. "It's no problem. I'm... glad you're enjoying yourself."
Baxter smiles knowingly, "is there something on your mind?"
The taller male doesn't answer, but he fixes his gaze on a particular person across the room, still intently listening to Terry's story. Miranda and Xavier have joined them by this point.
'Ah.' his expression softens. "Are you worried about them?"
"Of course I am," he replies. Any hesitation in his voice from before lost within those four words. His hands clench and loosen by his sides a few times and he glances down at his feet, as if debating whether or not it was okay to say the next words.
You had forgiven Baxter a long time ago, that was a fact, but Cove couldn't forget your dejected expression or how many false smiles you wore to assure everyone you weren't hurt that summer.
Baxter waits quietly. He doesn't know exactly what your best friend intends to say, but from his fidgeting alone, he could garner a guess. Eventually though, he does break the silence. "I won't hurt them."
Cove looks over to your boyfriend, unable to keep the doubt from his expression. He trusts you, he wants you to be happy, that's all he ever wants for you; but that's even more of a reason for him to be wary. Baxter had broken your heart once, and he never wants to see that happen again.
"Can you promise that?"
There's a pause, and then a shake of a head from the black color haired man and Cove feels his heart nearly sink. "I'm not like you. I haven't known them my entire life. I'm just someone who showed up to the doorstep of your neighborhood one summer and then left."
There's a gleam in his brown eyes that make them seem to sparkle even more than the lights decorated around the room. "We'll have arguments, we'll get into fights," his voice lowers, "but I hope I can learn from those mistakes. That I'll make a better decision the next time." He turns to face Cove. "I can promise that."
Cove swallows the lump in his throat. He had come here to talk to Baxter, but in the end he ended up not being able to say anything at all. Though, maybe that was okay too. Whatever the lead up was, he heard what he needed to hear.
"Thank you," he says.
Baxter's face lights up at those words, eyes widening with boyish glee, before reverting back to his more well-known smirk. "No, thank you for coming over and chatting with me. I'm thankful we got to have this time together."
"Aha," Cove chuckles awkwardly now that the air has cleared. "But uh, Baxter?" He calls, wanting to get just one last word in.
"Yes?"
"You... should take care of yourself, too." And with that final statement, he steps forward to join your group.
Baxter blinks once.
He takes a moment to reign in his shock. Did Cove Holden of all people just give him some encouragement? He chuckles, straightening up as he spots you splitting from the circle to make your way over to his side.
This week has been full of surprises.

I just imagine nuzzling into rick grimes’ s neck after a long day and him just stroking my hair.
Birch - Rick Grimes
Summary: just some escapism featuring Rick being soft and dreamy.
A/N: Thanks for being so super patient. I know this was requested eons ago and I so apologize. Feels like life is knocking me around a lot lately and I haven't gotten to write like I want to.

✰ so I cannot leave, yes, I must here stay ✰
There was no sure way to determine exactly what hour of the day it was, probably mid-evening given the warmer temperature and the just setting sun. If daylights savings still existed and the sun was still setting at the time that it used to before the entire world fell apart then you had to wager a guess that it was sometime close to 7pm...maybe 7:30pm even. You had stayed on Eastern Standard Time, not that stuff like that even mattered anymore. Really the only thing you could be certain of was the ache in your joints and muscles and the fact that the sun was setting. Blue hour was upon you.
Alexandria still felt relatively new, even after the few months that you'd been living inside the walls, but you had already gotten used to the possibility of a shower after a long day. It was impossible to tell accurate time and you made do waking up with the sun and trying your hardest to go to bed with it too, unless you found yourself the unlucky candidate for night watch. Tonight you had no responsibilities once you crossed the threshold into your house though, just a shower and food and sleep. You had planned it in that order but the moment you turned off the water and changed into clean clothes you were collapsing on the bed, your body sinking into the soft surface. You were halfway to being completely out of it when you felt the bed sink down behind you and you shifted onto your other side, coming face to face with Rick.
"Well if this isn't the best sight in the world," you mumbled, moving in as close as possible, pressing a kiss on the underside of his chin.
"I asked Carl where you were when you weren't at dinner, he said you came up to shower."
"Hoping to catch me in a compromising position?" You teased though you were only half-aware of what you were even saying, still far too tired to be completely awake.
"Oh most definitely," Rick laughed and you could feel the sensation of it. "You doing okay?"
"Just tired," you replied, nuzzling further into his neck, bread tickling your skin, as he ran a hand up and down your back soothingly. "You got stuff to do?"
Rick hummed in response. You couldn't see his face, but judging by the way that his hand had slowed its monotonous movements and his breathing was starting to even out you were certain that his eyes were closed and he was on the way to sleep. He mumbled something, too indiscernible in both your tired states for either of you to be confident in what it was.
"What?" You chanced asking, lifting your head just enough to see the underside of his chin, beard thick now that it had grown back in.
"Got dinner," he managed, eyes still closed, "downstairs."
"We should get up then?" You asked, slowly coming back to the living.
He hummed again, shaking his head just slightly, enough to let you know that he disagreed with that suggestion. This was the first time in two days that he'd even managed to lie down in bed. Lately he'd been falling asleep sitting up on the couch and then staying up for watch or because Judith was restless or any number of other reasons that drew his attention away from the bed in the upstairs bedroom that the two of you shared.
"Rick," you whispered, kissing his jawline as gently as possible, reluctant to really wake him unless he wanted to be woken up.
"I'm getting up," he promised, though he made no move to actually get up.
"I can see that."
"I am, just give me like, five more minutes of this," Rick replied.
You tucked yourself back into his side, closing your eyes against the fading sunlight coming through the window. No doubt someone would be coming upstairs, knocking on the door and disturbing your peace soon; there was always something that someone needed Rick for. But at least for five minutes (or just right now) you could pretend like all that didn't exist and it was just the two of you.

i will always be right there
Tumblr media
a quick fluff fest for emmy of @upsidedownwithsteve, who convinced me to get out of my writing slump with the following prompt: you come first.  you’re always my first choice. | 1.8k, fluff, fem!reader
You stare at the phone in the break room for at least ten minutes before you decide to pick it up. It takes you another few breaths to punch in the number. It's only 1pm on a Friday but the entire week weighs heavy on your shoulders and a few too many people have yelled at you already and you just want to sit at home alone tonight.
But you told Steve you'd go to a party with him. He's you to be ready at 8 for him to swing by and grab you before you spend hours in someone else's apartment having a nice time. But you just don't want to anymore. Your mood is plummeting by the minute and the thought of disappointing him makes it fall faster.
Not that he'll be disappointed -- he never is, not with you. So there's no reason to be nervous as you listen to the line ring.
"Steve speaking, how can I help you?" You can hear voices in the background so he must have picked up the front desk line.
"Hi," you say, softly. You twirl the chord around your fingers and imagine him leaning against the counter looking effortlessly handsome.
"Hey you," he replies, voice light and pleased. "You on your break?" A child shrieks somewhere near him.
"I am," you say. Best just to get it over with. "I don't want to keep you too long but...I don't think I want to go to the party tonight anymore."
"Oh." There's some shuffling as if he's moving the receiver from one shoulder to the other. "That's fine. Are you okay?"
"Just tired," you tell him. "A little down. I don't think I'll be much fun tonight."
"Well, I'll just come by when I'm done with work and we can have a night in, no biggie--"
"Steve," you interrupt. "You're meant to be bringing the beer. And honestly, I really don't mind. You should go." He doesn't reply for a few seconds and you chew on your lip. It's not that you don't want to spend time with him or don't want his comfort. It's that you haven't been seeing each other for very long and you don't want to come off as...needy.
"Are you sure?" he says. "I don't like the idea of you being sad and me going to a party." It sounds like he's knocking his fist on the table in a random rhythm as he talks, something you've noticed he does when he thinks. "Unless it's the kind of sad where you want to be alone?"
"If you want to come over to my place after the party and spend the night I wouldn't be upset about that." You gave him a key to your place only a few weeks ago but he's yet to use it. Part of you wants to take up his offer and ask him to abandon the party altogether, but he really did promise to bring like, three cases of beer and you know Steve is the kind of guy who follows through. And you want him to have fun and not be weighed down by your own fatigue.
"Okay," he says. "Okay, I'll come over later." Someone yells his name. "Shit," he says. "I'm sorry, but I gotta go. But I'l see you tonight, okay?"
The rest of the day passes by slowly. You almost talk yourself into calling him back and telling him that you'll go, but then you close your eyes and feel so tired you can barely stay on your feet. You feel sad and guilty and bummed and you just want to sit on the couch and do nothing.
So when you get home, that's exactly what you do. You change into an old pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt that might be Steve's and order some pizza. You hum to yourself as you wait for it, gathering blankets and pillows and tossing them all on the couch before selecting a tape at random from the pile Steve brought over last week and popping it in the TV.
The clock on the wall reads 8pm when your doorbell rings. You pad over it in socket feet and a twenty in your hand and open the door, half expecting it to be Steve, but it's just a delivery boy. You thank him and take your pizza straight to the coffee table in front of your couch and plop down on the floor. You open the box and turn it so that your side of the pizza is closest -- you got Steve's toppings on the other half in case he's hungry when he comes over.
The movie is fine but forgettable and the pizza is pretty greasy but satisfying.
You don't know how long has passed but you've almost eaten half of the pizza when someone knocks on your door. It's a silly knock, a rhythm only evident to the person doing it, and it makes you smile. "Come in, Steve," you yell. You hear him fumble with unlocking it a little but but then the door opens and there is he, hair a mess and a plastic bag from the supermarket in his hand.
"Look at you eating on the floor," he says. "Gross." His voice is so fond you want to hide your face in your hands.
"My house my rules, Steve," you say. "What do you have there? And what time is it? Did you go to the party?" He toes off his shoes and hangs his coat and wanders to the kitchen.
"Ice cream," he says. "If you want some. It's around 9, I think?" He must check his watch but you can't see it over the couch. "Yeah, just after 9. I went for a little." He hops over the couch suddenly and you yelp but he's careful not to displace the pizza as he slides down onto the floor next to you. You get a good look at him for the first time all day -- jeans and a long sleeved cream shirt, cheeks a little pink from the cold and hair floppy like he's been running his hands through it. He looks relaxed, happy.
"It's early, Steve," you say, frowning just a little. He slings an arm around you as he wiggles a little on the carpet, trying to get comfortable as the movie continues to play quietly.
"Well, I dropped off the beer and said hi to some people. Who all say hi to you, by the way." He toys with the hem of your borrowed t-shirt. "And here I am. I thought I'd hang out with you, if that's okay." You know that he'd leave if you told him you wanted some alone time, but that's the opposite of what you want. You always want to be near Steve.
"Of course it's okay," you tell him, softly. "I'm glad you're here." He grins at you before leaning in to place a feather-light kiss to your temple.
"Can I have some pizza?" You nod and turn the box towards him. "Did you do that half for me?" He groans in happiness and you roll your eyes at his boyish attitude.
"You didn't have to come over, Steve," you say as he takes a bite. He chews quickly and swallows.
"Yeah, but I wanted to." The crease between his brows deepens and you reach up to smooth it out with your thumb. How do you convey this to him correctly?
You take a deep breath. "I just don't want to be the girlfriend that makes you miss things because she's feeling kind of down." Steve's jaw works as he listens. The arm around your shoulders tightens a little and he brushes his fingers along your bare arm.
"Good thing you're the girlfriend I love so much I want to hang out with her when she's kind of down," he parrots back to you. He looks petulant as he says it before biting into his piece of pizza for emphasis.
"I guess that's fine," you say. "But do you understand what I mean? I don't want you to cancel things for me, or change plans because I don't want to go."
He wipes his hands on a napkin you put out and turns so that his torso faces you entirely as his legs press against yours. His hand cups your face, thumb stroking the skin of your cheek. "You come first," he says, gaze firmly on you. "You're always my first choice. Whether you're sad, or sick, or tired, or happy, or anything else. Always."
The moment feels a little too intense to occur while you're sitting on the floor eating pizza, but that's just how being with Steve is. He says the most loving things to you at random moments without even thinking about it. Loving, for him, seems to be as easy as breathing. It's overwhelming and wonderful and makes you feel like you are flying.
"You're my first choice, too," you tell him. He releases you but stays turned towards you as he reaches for another piece of pizza.
"And what about the feeling down part?" he asks. You notice a bit of pizza sauce on his lip and you wipe it away with the pad of your thumb before licking it off of your own skin. His eyes are shining and his mouth is curled up at the end as he watches you.
"I'll be fine," you say. "But it's nice that you're here." When you first started dating, Steve might have pushed you a little to tell him more, to find a problem that he could solve with trinkets or food or something else. But now he knows well enough that he's not responsible for that -- that he can believe you when you tell him that he helps just by being around, that you'll be honest if you do need something. So he just hums and scrunches his nose as he finishes another piece.
"Can we sit on the couch now?" he says. "This carpet is making my ass hurt."
You flick his bicep. "Sure, pretty boy." He hops up and hauls you after him, his hand warm and firm in yours for just a few seconds. "Ice cream in a bit?" you ask.
He grins. "I got like, four flavors. So we can have an ice cream bar. Do you have hot fudge still?" You nod. He starts to clean up the pizza, picking up the box and napkins and heading for the kitchen, but before he can you tug on his arm.
"Hey," you say. "Thank you for coming over." He smiles at you, boyish and charming and a little amused, as if he's saying where else would I be? So you lean in to kiss him on the cheek, the beginnings of his stubble prickly against your lips. He whines a little when you pull away and you roll your eyes but go in for a real kiss this time because he just looks so lovely and he's yours.
"What movie are we watching?" he says when you pull away.
