While the two of you are dating, I feel like she wouldn't shy away from letting people know. Maybe not outright saying it, but from the hand holding (and the kisses she plants on your face before you two separate for your matches) to the intimate hugs you two share say enough.

In the relationship, don't be surprised if you receive numerous bouquets of flowers. All tied with a pretty green or blue bow with a small letter attached. The letter can say things like wishing you good luck for your future matches to her saying just how much she loves and adores you. The thought of you reading her notes and keeping the flowers has got her kicking her feet and giggling like a lunatic.

Beneath his haughty and withdrawn persona, he’s an incredibly observant, caring, and loyal individual—and he does his best to make sure that you feel loved whenever he’s by your side.

꒰⚔️꒱・Although I consider him to be far from optimistic, considering everything that’s happened within his pre-manor days, I do still imagine him to be a sort of hopeless romantic. This is a sentiment you’ll become well aware of through the many dates that he plans for the both of you—whether they be candlelit dinners, strolls in the garden, or something else. These dates do occasionally go astray due to the ever growing amount of inhabitants sharing the space, though he does his best to keep/get things back on track. Please reassure him if things get a bit too hectic—he’s very much prone to panicking.

꒰⚔️꒱・As a man of the arts, you’re quick to become his new muse. He loves taking photos of you at any and every moment he can, regardless of how mundane it is. Depending on your own sentiments of the matter, this could potentially be a root of disagreements—especially considering that the camera seems to follow him every time you’re together. Similarly, he’s a big fan of painting you, originally using the photos he took of you as references, though he quickly abandons them once he gets the hang of things—he’s a fast learner when it comes to you.

Whether it be him hovering close to you whenever you’re too close to another survivor, or the way that he subtly begs you not to leave his side, it is something that you come to notice.

꒰⚔️꒱・Ignore his signs of jealousy, and you might just find that other survivor being targeted during matches—but he’ll ꒰reluctantly꒱ catch himself if you call him out on it. Afterwards, he’ll just resort to being a pouty mess around you, though some extra affection is quick to restore his good mood. You might even catch the Joseph Desaulniers apologizing to the other survivor afterwards—though you’d best bet that he’s swearing them to secrecy. It’s embarrassing, truly! You know nobles like him are meant to be composed at all times..!

꒰⚔️꒱・When it comes to facing you in matches, well… It really does depend. His most common strategies include going friendly for your entire team ꒰and spending the time by your side꒱ or simply avoiding you until everybody else has been chaired and he can give you dungeon. However, there are times that he’ll have to go full swing on you—he fears that the baron might punish the both of you, otherwise. He tries to be gentle on you when this happens, grazing you ever so lightly with his rapier, but he’ll always come running to Emily’s infirmary once the match is over… just to make sure.

꒰⚔️꒱・Assuming that you haven’t been hurt by him in a match, though, it does take some time for him to catch back up with you. Joseph is a massive cleanfreak, and absolutely despises the idea of being dirty—something caused both by his social status and the illness that took Claude away from him. He tends to make a beeline to his shower whenever he returns from matches, a habit that you’ve gradually come to pick up due to his hesitancy to cuddle with you when you haven’t. All things considered, it is a good habit, so you don’t mind it all that much.

꒰⚔️꒱・When it comes to things like PDA, I do imagine Joseph falling more on the conservative side ꒰once again due to his upbringing꒱. He’d really only engage in it when he’s feeling jealous, and for the most part prefers to keep all amorous gestures private… though he won’t complain nor attempt to stop you if you give him a quick kiss on the cheek, or something similar. He does, however, use a lot of French nicknames and terms of endearment for you—both in private and public. Mary enjoys teasing him for it, and offers to translate them for you if you don’t know French.

꒰⚔️꒱・Circling back to his fixation on cleanliness, the worst thing for him is falling sick. He’s quick to become upset if he notices himself falling under the weather, and he’ll quickly try to find something to blame for it. While this can grate on the nerves of whoever’s caring for him, being angry distracts him from his fear—though he’ll try to tone things down if he notices that he’s riling you up. Regardless, he’s grateful that you’re putting in the effort to care for him, even if he initially tries to shoo you off for the fear of getting you sick, too.

꒰⚔️꒱・If you’re the one sick, however, things tend to go much differently. He’s a mix of worried and distant whenever it happens, constantly obsessing over your condition and endlessly pestering Emily—begging her to make sure that you’re alright. At the same time, however, you won’t catch a single sight of him while you’re still ill—the thought of seeing you in such a state causing his stomach to churn. He’s quick to apologize once you’re better, pressing kisses on every part of skin that he can reach… Though expect a slight scolding to accompany his tenderness.

꒰⚔️꒱・Ending this with a cuddling headcanon..! Joseph absolutely adores having you close to him. Whether it be you sitting in his lap while he reads a book or him having an arm wrapped around you as he rants about bad matches and annoying survivors, cuddling is a necessity for him. He’s not against the idea of falling asleep while holding you, either, but be warned that his grip gets shockingly tight once he drifts off. While attempts at escape don’t fully wake him, he’ll try to convince you to stay with half-asleep murmurs of ‘don’t leave, mon ange…’ or ‘stay a little, mon amour…’. Unfortunately for you, they’re rather effective.

Sure!! Sorry for the late response, I'm horrible about writing things on time. But your english is great! I think at the time of writing my draft for this, which was quite a while ago, I had planned to write it as Hunter Luchino x Survivor!Reader, so that's what I've got going on here. I don't remember if his survivor form had been released at that time or not but just for clarification, this is Hunter Luchino ^^

Luchino x Survivor!Reader who uses Jumping Stilts

Luchino was used to all sorts of strange new survivors with strange new skills appearing at the manor, but he never expected this.

He had been in a match, hunting as usual, when he saw a rather tall survivor working on a cipher a ways away. He chuckled to himself, thinking about how height must be a disadvantage when trying to survive in a game like this. He launched himself over, just barely missing

You screamed, running off as quickly as you could, and he began to follow. After a while of running, kiting, and lucky misses from Luchino, he finally had you cornered. The only way for you to get out was up, onto a balcony, and to his surprise, up you went.

He had noticed the strange devices on your legs when he tried to hit you the first time, and realized that they were the cause behind your height. But he had assumed they were some kind of leg brace, not a device to help you jump. He was incredibly impressed you managed to get that high.

He quickly followed you, faster than you had anticipated, and grabbed you by the back of your shirt. Dangling you in the air before him, he looked you up and down, studying your stilts for a moment before speaking.

"Those allow you to jump like me?" He asked, though it was more of a statement than a question.

"Y-yes. They're jumping stilts." You nervously replied, heart beating out of your chest.

He made a noise that sounded like a grunt, before using his other hand to lift one of your legs closer to his face so that he could examine it.

"Can I make a deal with you?" He said after a moment. "I'll let you go, end the match, if you allow me to study these back at the manor. I've wasted enough time chasing you, and frankly I don't see why I should down you and risk breaking these contraptions."

You nodded yes, agreeing, and he put you back on the ground. He had you follow him around, asking you to try jumping onto different spots and see which ones you could and couldn't get to. By the time he had finished, your teammates had finished the ciphers and begun opening the doors. They pinged on their radios that you should leave, and that they could help you, but you pinged back to leave without you, so they did.

Luchino walked you to the gates, making small talk, asking more questions about the stilts, simply having a pleasant conversation until you made it to your location. He bid you farewell and sent you on your way, before walking away, presumably to whatever exit the hunters used.

Despite the fact that he was a hunter, tasked with eliminating you and your fellow survivors, you felt strangely comfortable around him. Maybe it was that he shared your inquisitive nature, maybe it was because he was such pleasant company, always offering you tea whenever you met with him to discuss the stilts, or maybe it was the fact that after enough meetings, the stilts were all but forgotten in conversation. What started out as a mutual interest became a regular meeting for the two of you, enjoying tea and one another's conversation.

Eventually, you noticed your own heart raced when around him, but not in the way it used to. You tried not to read into the little things, like how he started stuttering sometimes when you accidently touched his hand reaching for more tea, or how he would clear his throat after making eye contact with you for what felt like just a little too long. But you wanted to read into it, deep down, you wanted to be right.

And you were. He couldn't quite bring himself to say it, or to do anything about it, but you were so incredibly right. He too had started to have feelings for you, someone clever like him, someone who shared a bit of his strangeness, someone he was beginning to trust. It was hard not to fall for you, but here he was. He was hooked on every word you spoke. He wasn't ready to say it yet, but he was truly falling for you.

I hope you enjoyed!! Again, sorry it took so long, but I ended up rewriting everything I had done, and I'm glad I did because this is a much more detailed post than the original was.

General Romance HCs for: Michiko & Norton Campbell

Romance? What romance? Norton had expected the concept to not be possible with him.

Because of his past, he actually thought that life would be cruel to him. He's lost his companions in the accident... Others thought of him as a scumbag... Why would you think that he would be blessed with romance of all things?

The biggest thing that had changed his perception was definitely when he came to the manor. Enduring night terrors wasn't the greatest, and because of the life-threatening and altering events he endured, he's built up walls to protect himself.

He actually had nightmares of it- the gnawing fear feeding into the trauma he endured, the many times he had pushed others away, even using them in the past as stepping stones...

Norton truly thought that he was the scum of the Earth. A dead man. He does not deserve something so... So foolish and sweet as love.

... And yet, when he does fall in love?

He falls hard.

Don't get me wrong: a man of his caliber and experience is not an easy one to romance. He's a stubborn soul till the end, and can even be spiteful, too. But during his time in the mines and even with others in the manor, he's learned a few things on romance.

He likes to take the matter slow. He rushed into a few things himself in the past, and it has cost him. Because of that, he learned to take his time and ease himself into the relationship.

He, like Grace, likes collecting things. However, he would only collect authentic and real gems and minerals, often showing it to his lover when he deemed them to be trustworthy.

Norton is a bit of a flirt, but not overly or over the top. He likes to take it on a subtle turn, making sure that only he gets to see his beloved flustered or act embarrassed.

Contrary to popular belief, he's actually touch-starved! The Prospector likes to hold his lover close and show his affection that way, often opting to kiss parts of their skin and even trace words on the palms of their hands. However, if his lover expressed that they want to hold him and do the same, he might act a little... Adverse.

Be gentle with the man, please. Even if he pulls away, he will secretly thank his lover if they insist and help him stomp out the uncertainty cropping up on his mind. Even when in a relationship, he has moments of self-doubt and self-destructive behaviors, so it would do some good if his lover is able to get him out of it.

He would sometimes toss a magnet to them if he sees them in a match, mostly to get them away from the hunter, or (if its a friendly match), just to hug them. What? Can't he do that?

Hehe, how cruel... Of course he would do that.

In special days and anniversaries, he'd even have some dates planned. Getting stuck in the manor doesn't yield much date plans and locations, but with his lover and in love, the Prospector will do anything to make it special.

God knows this man is protective, and to a bigger fault than people may think. If there is someone that would put his lover in harm's way or even something in the match going awry, he'd be there to shield them.

He may dislike getting hurt after, but seeing his lover safe, it felt like getting new scars is worth the effort.

A man with a streak of misfortune as Norton is, there's a lot of mystery behind the once greedy survivor. Although now that he's a lot more... Lax, he's able to show his love to his beloved if they stuck by his side for so long.

Despite seeing the prettiest of jewels and minerals, to him, his lover is the prettiest and rarest of them all.

“ ... Sometimes, I wonder what makes you attracted to me. We're both opposites, but I guess that's what makes the saying, ‘Opposites Attract’ true, hm? ”

Oh dear... Michiko is probably not the best with romance. Or, at least, rekindling it.

Let's just say the Geisha has had her experience with love. She had fallen in love with Miles, after all, and after all that she endured, she has yet to return to it when she was still in grief.

Much like Norton, be patient with the lady. After her first time, she's a lot more wary and wouldn't want to hurt someone's feelings for her withdrawal nature.

She is a little avoidant of romance in this aspect at first, thinking that she herself did not deserve any sort of affection from others. Combine that with the prejudice in the past...

It is understandable on why she's too cautious of people, and especially to those who like her, yes?

Although she may be reluctant to start again in the aspect of romance and courting, she has her own ways to show she likes someone once she has fallen for the person in question.

It is a bit of a slow burn before she gets to really liking the person, considering the underlying trauma and fear she has in showing her vulnerability. She's still trying to recover through it, but sometimes, she would contemplate on what makes someone so... Special.

Although, when she fully falls for the person, that is where the actual healing path starts and her desire to love again.

She used to do performances due to her job as a Geisha, so she would often show said performances to her lover if they wish to see it.

A woman that respects tradition despite the prejudice she endures from Westerners, she would teach her beloved how some of them operate, just so they would know how things work and especially when a special occasion comes.

Michiko is a woman that values quality like most, but she does have a bit of a habit in tending to her beloved's needs like a quiet wife should. She would do it without even thinking much of it, giggling when she see the embarrassed look in her beloved's face.

What? It's cute, come on— admit it. It isn't every day you really get to see her smile now, is it?

She often likes to be the one to put on makeup for her and her lover, depending if they really want to dress up with her. She would also be the one to manage their outfits, sometimes having others help in tailoring specific costumes and keeping it hush-hush.

In matches, Michiko would often travel with her beloved around the map whilst speaking to them. She wouldn't mind having to listen to some stories with them, or even speak about her own tales. If they're lucky, she'd even put on a little show for them and the other survivors!

The butterfly she summons out of resentment seem to flock over to her lover, akin to a moth drawing itself close to a flame. It is interesting when this happens, because Michiko would swear that they like her lover more than herself.

It did came with a downside, in that sense that she would find herself dashing over to her beloved in her Prajna form when she wasn't feeling up to being nice.

Not that she minds, really— have you seen her grab emote? Yes. She'll do that to her lover if that was the case.

Speaking of her Prajna form, she would actually use that form around her lover rarely. Though, when they desire it, she will turn into that form and let them do what they wish.

She is a lot more unhinged when she's in that form, but miraculously, the lady would act like a domesticated beast and wouldn't even think of acting on her urges when she was not in her beauty form.

She does express her shame switching into it sometimes as she doesn't like to scare her beloved. The Prajna form is only reserved to matches and if there's people she really, really dislikes. Almost heavily so.

However, if her lover expressed that matter with an affirmative or a comforting statement, she will ease herself in showing that form more often.

Geisha is one of the few hunters that have experienced love, and although it left her with a bad experience, she is doing well and is healing through the love shared with her partner.

All it takes is patience and honesty— after all, she has endured so much in her time.

All she truly desires is for life to be kind to her, and to give her another shot of romance.
