- OK FIRST ABOUT HIM. He works for knives still but in this au his job is to cause vash suffering by 😭😭… outselling him??? Ridonkulous ik but go with it

- Knives wants him to outsell vash so vash realizes that art and human creativity is obsolete and instead help him run his tech/AI company that also focuses on helping global warming (humans suck they should die. robots go!)

- Hes apart of a band to rival Vash’s and ofc its the Gung Ho Guns; he hired them to play for him

- Tbh i think their genre isnt set in stone bc theyre purely doing this to outsell vash so I think theyd keep the core of it rock or indie but it has a lot of shifting gears, doing wtv gets the most traction

- Legato is the bassist but he knows keyboard if their keyboardist is absent

- I think legato writes most of the songs himself (to impress knives ofc this is still HIS mission afterall) and gets a lil sad and defensive if it flops LMFAO even if its just his first album; considering how Knives talked down on music Legato thought it’d be somewhat easy

- It DEFINITELY took him a while to write things that had some semblance of humanity in it tbh he had to have either another less emotionally stunted member write it or a ghost writer but he did still practice writing in his spare time since he had nothing better to do

- Ok im gonna try to say this in the least creepy way possible but like. He likes to observe you for inspiration HEAR ME OUT. Just seeing u go about ur day and since hes always in first person POV seeing someone else just… live gives him immense inspiration on what to write

- He also gets inspo from other artists and heres where u come in hehe. You are a solo artist who doesn’t show your face and your speaking voice is pretty much completely different from ur singing voice (Not like insanely different but if you heard the two separately you wouldnt really connect the dots unless ur one of those people who connect voices easily + depending on ur genre u could be using a completely different tone of voice than usual)

- Your genre is a little similar to Legato’s in the fact that although you keep your core component (Love theme IMO but hey i dont make the rules yes i doo) you change around the other moving parts such as the instruments or wtv so he listens to your music often though he never really thought it would be you; just never really thought about the possibility

- You often get him stuff from the college snack shack and in return he often gives u whatever he doesnt want from the dining hall (that sounds crappy but its usually good stuff like ur fave fruit or cheese and crackers or sth)

- After u become a bit closer going on trips together becomes common not like vacation but like a little drive to a department store or him taking you with him to practice/performances

- SPEAKING OF PRACTICE U work part time at a coffee shop and it has a practice room which is where he usually brings his band it sounds random but I’ve encountered a coffee place like this before ok

- Killing two birds with one stone, he gets to see you on his way in and out and he gets a quiet place to practice + Vash often brings his band here too so ig killing two birds and one afterthought with one stone

Chapter 5: Save you Peter hadn't slept all night long; he was too busy tinkering with the object trying to figure out how it worked. It was about 9 am when he heard a knock on the door. Sighing he got up and answered the door.

"Otto?" He asked curiously, "what are you doing here? Did you figure out how to work the machine?". 

"Uh no…..I um have a semi odd request." Otto said shyly.

"Oh? What's up?".

"Any chance I could come with you guys to that other universe?".

Peter looked at Otto confused for a minute before realization hit him. 

"Otto…..".

"I know what you're going to say. I just want to meet her. Maybe see what kind of father I was to her. Besides I know you guys need the help. Just let me do it." Otto pleaded.

Peter sighed and stepped to the side to let him in. 

"Thank you Peter.".

"Of course Otto. I was just gonna make some coffee and breakfast.". 

"Sounds lovely. Have you gotten any farther in figuring the device out?". 

"I wish. I keep pushing the main button in the hopes that something will happen. I haven't slept all night.".

"Go get some sleep Peter. I'll make some food and coffee for us.". 

"I'll be fine Otto. I know I won't get any sleep." Peter said starting the coffee. 

They sat in silence for a moment before Peter finally asked," I gotta ask….did you want to be a father? Before she died obviously.". 

Otto sighed and looked down at the table contemplating how to answer. 

"I didn't want a child. I feared being a terrible father. But Rosie definitely did want a child and was convinced I'd be a great father. To be honest we weren't really trying to have a child but figured if we got lucky then it was meant to be kind of deal.". 

"I finally dreamt about what happened!" Peter 3 said excitedly coming into the kitchen. He froze as he saw Otto and looked at both of them curiously. 

"Good morning Peter." Otto smiled at him.

"Hello Otto. What brings you here?". 

" I'd like to help you boys. It sounded like you could use all the help you can get.". 

Peter 3 looked at Peter who nodded answering the question that he didn't need to ask. 

"So what happened in the dream?" Peter inquired.

 "So I woke up in the dream in her lab and you two were talking. We all decided to see if we could save her Peter and Harry like we did with Peter 1 with our villains. But they were too powerful and in an attempt to save us she opened up the portal thing and literally pushed both of us through. I think that was when she kissed you to distract you from what she was really doing.". 

Peter froze as everything came back to him. Was the kiss really just a distraction? Maybe she didn't actually like him that way. But what about MJ? He really shouldn't be feeling disappointed that a girl from another universe may not be attracted to him when he had MJ in this universe. 

"Earth to Peter! You there?" Otto chuckled. 

"Oh yeah sorry what he said just triggered all my memories to be honest.". 

"So how do we get back to her? I for one am not going to leave her there who knows what they've done to her!" Peter 3 said defiantly. 

"Any suggestions? I've tinkered with this thing all night and nothing seems to work.". 

Otto grabbed it and sat down while Peter 3 grabbed some food and coffee and sat down across from him watching him intently. 

"I think I could probably figure this out. But what is the game plan once there? Do you guys even remember where she is or have any idea how to go about finding her?" Otto inquired. 

"They want this device im sure they'll know the moment we are back in that universe. My only concern is saving her and then going from there." Peter replied. 

"What about saving them? There has to be something we can do!" Peter 3 retorted. 

"How about we focus on saving Mary first? She will probably be able to help us with that." Peter replied. 

While the Peter's argued over what was the best thing to do Otto slowly tinkered with the device. After a minute the device began to glow before it flew out of Otto's hand and created a portal similar to one they had seen Ned create when they were in Peter 1s universe. Both Peters stopped arguing and froze staring in shock as the device fell to the ground when the portal was complete.

"Well boys I guess it's time to find her. Where shall we start?" Otto inquired. 

"Let's start at Oscorp." Peter said, grabbing the device and stepping into the portal. 

Otto and Peter 3 looked at each other before following Peter through the portal not knowing where they would end up or what could be waiting on the other side of the portal.

woohoo successfully remembered first post FGDJSHAK

i’ve started a few daily things recently. mood tracking is the major one (and has been going on for about a month now super successfully, ios automations ftw), but this week i’ve also started taking st johns wort in the morning and evening (its a mood balancer, my dr and a psychiatrist i saw recommended it as a first measure, i’ve also started seeing a mental health nurse and am hoping to get on the waiting list for an actual therapist asap). somehow combining multiple daily tasks together seems easier for me? like i’ve been taking my meds every time i do the mood tracking and it’s. WAY easier to tie those things together than treat them as two seperate tasks i gotta do.

right now, im mostly hoping ive not bitten off more than i can chew. theres been a lot of bullshit going on in the past year for me, and i’m worried i’m like. overcorrecting, i guess??? but i’m going into the daily writing with the full knowledge in my brain that uni and my happiness both come first. i even mentioned to my best friend that i’ll count 100 words of essay writing as 100 words towards my daily total, even if i obviously won’t be posting them here (no potential collusion accusations for me fgdjskjank). I feel like i need a better outlet, and while some of the shit im gonna post is ABSOLUTELY gonna be trash/make no sense/never again see the light of day, i think i’m going into this with a better approach than the 2021 drabble fic. i hope some people stick around to see my daily bullshit, but if this just ends up being me rambling into the void for however long i keep it up then thats fine too.

Okay now im panicking, so much going on, feel so crowded, now its even worse and I feel so guilty. I need to get on with my work but im literally dissociating at the thought. I need more routine ! disingenuous or particularly closed off people can be a deal breaker for him- guarding your thoughts and opinions is understandable, but edgar isn't going to push too hard when he can't see any benefit for himself at the end of the road, especially if he might get hurt in the process.

more than anything, edgar despises hypocrisy, and won't hesitate to call someone out on their suspected bullshit if he sees anything off.

edgar's a bit of a pretentious snoop, but he relies on those tactics as a form of self-preservation. damn near everyone in the manor has unhealthy coping mechanisms (if you could call edgar's behavior coping), edgar's just tend to be more outward and loud.

when it comes to having a partner, edgar obviously isn't too fond of the idea of having those kinds of vulnerable feelings for people. edgar was ironically raised in the sort of environment where if you wanted something you should go for it, no matter the actions you had to take; it's been said that your least favorable qualities in a person are a reflection of what you hate about yourself, and that very well might be the case for mr. valden.

it seems edgar would prefer for a kinder, more gentle partner; not someone who was naive necessarily, but someone who understood how much of a bitch life could be and kept their compassion regardless.

he does his best to be kind and patient- provided his partner gives him the same grace. he's doing his best to be genuine with a select few people, and it's scary. edgar commonly snaps out at people and if he's in a dour enough mood, you may not be spared.

the guilt spiral that ensues after those raw moments is not something to be trivialized. this is where edgar will take advantage of what little romantic knowledge he has, leaving flowers or jewelry by your door, sometimes going as far as painting the scene of your first date.

again, not much of a guy for heart-to-heart type talks, but he can come down off his ego high when the situation calls for it, however rarely.

as far as dates go, edgar is rather lax about those events. you're the only person he really wants to spend time with, so why not do just that? he also thinks that most dates are overrated and both parties get dressed up to laugh at fake jokes and pretend they enjoyed a tedious night stuck with someone, so just chilling somewhere feels the most genuine to edgar.

to be especially honest, i really don't think edgar's ready for a relationship. it's unfortunate, but any relationship he has doesn't have a good future from my point of view, which is, without saying, not the only right one. more than anything, this is just how i see him.
