this question seems a little silly to me but alas google was no help and you seem like something of a concert aficionado, but i just got tickets to an outdoor lovejoy venue and have no idea how it works when it’s outside since the only concerts ive been to are indoor venues or free outdoor ones (which def isn’t the same) and am happily overthinking the hell out of it. ive been to one other lovejoy show (still riding that high) and was as close to the mic as physically possible without being on stage, which was just from getting there very early. is getting close to the stage the same principle at outdoor venues? is there even a line to queue in still? Do they have a “doors open at 7!” moment when there’s no doors? are people like. more or less insane about getting there wildly early when it’s outdoors. i just have no clue what to expect so any little bits of knowhow would be hugely appreciated <3 also I love your writing

hi this question isn't silly at all! the only outdoor venue I've been to for lovejoy was a music festival, so if you're talking about a music festival I can help with that? but also all music festivals have different rules and setups for things like that so what applied for mine might not apply for yours

for my music festival, the entire festival opened up at 12 noon. I knew what stage lovejoy was playing on, and they weren't going to perform until 6 or 7pm I think. so while I didn't try to show up super early, my friend and thought the trolley that took us downtown was going to take longer than it would so we ended up there around 11 am. people had just begun to line up to be let into the festival, so we met up with some twitter mutuals of mine and lined up. now keep in mind this was just to get into the festival, the stage lovejoy was going to be on was further in the grounds.

so when 12 noon hit I was like the 5th person let in I think? and I just sprinted for the lovejoy stage. no one was there yet so I claimed a spot at the barrier, and the rest of the people I knew trickled in behind me and we all claimed our spots. from there it was just a matter of waiting at the barrier and not giving up our spots there until lovejoy came on. now regardless of venue type, all gigs are going to have different barrier variations. some barriers are going to be only a few feet from stage, some, like, at that music festival i was at, are going to be a bit further back. theres nothing you can do about that, but it's very rare to be so close to the stage you could practically touch the mic. that usually means there isn't an actual barrier fence for the stage, and the only time i've been to a gig like that was the lovejoy bowery gig in nyc last december

so basically, at least with the music festival i went to, there's no real 'queue' unless you count the line to get into the festival when the doors open. basically you just run and try to claim a spot at barrier as fast as possible. if lovejoy isn't performing until later in the day, you're either going to have a hell of a time waiting in the sun all day (although of course if the people around you aren't dicks they should be willing to hold your spot and let you come back to it if you need to get food or use the restroom or something), or because there's so much shuffling of crowds between performances as different artists come on and off the stage you have a higher chance of being able to slip closer to the front if you didn't get there at the start. (i'm not saying to shove past people to force your way through. i'm just saying other people might leave the barrier after the artist they're there for has performed, and you can swoop in and take their spot)

overall I'd just look up what time the venue opens and plan to get there an hour early or so if lovejoy is performing later in the day. if they're performing earlier, you might be more likely to see a typical 'queue' to get into the venue. and even if you do get barrier, there's a likely chance you're not gonna be that close to the stage as you described again. i'm still chasing the high of that bowery gig. best of luck to you though!

Mei, I am definitely looking at the Nimbasa Ferris Wheel event with the X-transceiver like I’m on The Office. Starry-eyed has an extra layer of cuteness knowing she wears space-buns. Nagisa could be a reference to something other than the water relation, but again, the kind of softness that matches.

The little gremlin! I like the fact spirit can have a double meaning as a “sprite” not so much in modern english, but more in word origin. And I see it mostly attributed to children. Nox is def related to night, the moon, ghost-type, honestly the mythology writes itself. You literally have an owl archer. And something in my brain ticks it as a good choice you went with Nox over Nyx or any other feminine-esque name despite also referring to a goddess for some reason, intentional?

Akari, The Skyfallen Luminary, and the one I could suspect to be your favorite bc it’s all kinds of pretty and fun. Honestly gorgeous all around. It’s not easy coming up with three word titles that captures everything you want in a way that feels alive or cool, but you’ve done it for sure. And Seraphina? I’m giggling even more I don’t need to google that to know the religious symbolism here, and with fire. Oh, PLA and Volo. You’ve started a whole thing here aesthetically. I’m bouncing off the walls from it tho, the research that goes into this is my jam, bread and butter.

Juliana (The Straight A's Scholar) GIRL PLS I’m bout to cry, I am not gonna get anxious over a Pokegirl y’all don’t KNOW what real college is like for hard science majors in your cozy Pokémon World (just got out of an exam) but FINE go be a scholar like in the old days. PHDs ain’t no walk in the park either irl. But alas, yeah, that’s Paldea for you, I GUESS I have to say congratulations. She’s a good girl, and bonus points for the culturally fitting nicknames.

This is not something I know how to express, but I read each name like it’s a title card of a movie flashing across the screen with a dramatic and lit up sequence with all the girls and little made-up animations and whatever else I picture that goes along with the backgrounds of the names and I go “hm yeah” *nods* that be them. So kudos all around!

Mei seems to be under the impression that she's in a shoujo rather than an adventure game. She sets off from Aspertia City with the hope that her journey will be filled with romance, that she will finally find her true love, her prince...

As much of a sentimentalist as she is though, do keep in mind that Mei still defeats Ghetsis at his worst.

I consistently refer to Mizuki as a 'horrid little creature', even though she's actually one of the taller girls. She moved to Alola from Kanto and originates from Lavender Town, so she has a camaraderie with Ghost-types.

You know that girl who asks Red or Leaf if they believe in ghosts and if told 'No', she replies, "That white hand on your shoulder... I'm just imagining it." That's Mizuki.

Akari's title is indeed one I hold in high favor, because of the multiple meanings behind it. Skyfallen of course pertains to her falling from the space-time rift, and a luminary is someone who inspires or influences others, referencing how Akari brings about change in Hisui.

But luminary can also mean 'angel'. When you pair that definition with her status as The Skyfallen, it paints the image of a guardian angel descending upon the region. Which is certainly what Volo sees her as.

Juliana, she's essentially the perfect student. She shows up to class on time, she loves every second of it, and she's entirely devoted to her studies. So much so, the grand majority of her Pokémon's names begin with the letter 'A'.

She has to do the intellectual heavy lifting between her and Arven. Juliana would be more than happy to tutor him, though.

Class 1A friendships

Anyways so ik people love the whole Bakusquad n Dekusquad thing, BUT I also love the rest of class 1A, so other friendships include:

Kirishima and Ochako. Gym buddies who constantly hype each other up! Kirishima is super respectful and very willing to ward off creeps when they go to they gym even though Ochako can handle herself. Plus, I can see them sparring a lot as Kirishima helps Ochako get better at close combat and Ochako helps him figure out how to fight in a way that’s not just ‘CHARGE’. Plus, they both have insecurities about their abilities - and I can 100% see them just being like ‘HOW DARE YOU INSULT MY FRIEND!!’ and just being super wholesome and helping each other with their weaknesses.

Jiro, Tokoyami, and Shinsou. Yeah he’s not 1A but whatever. Anyway, Tokoyami also knows what it’s like to have a ‘villainous’ quirk people are scared of, so one day when he and Jiro run into Shinsou who starts angsting about his life and how easy Class 1A has it he’s just like ‘alas it seems all over the nation people refuse to see past their own misconceptions’, and Shinsou somehow understands this and is Shocked (TM) that someone from the hero course gets it. Jiro doesn’t exactly, but she bonds with them anyway because they all have anxiety and listen to similar music. Jiro will listen to anything from any genre if she likes it but loves emo and punk especially, you KNOW the only two genres Tokoyami listens to are emo and classical to be Dramatic (TM), and Shinou loves the angrier emo and punk stuff so he can release his Pent Up Rage (TM). Also purple gang.

Momo and Sato! They both find themselves in the kitchen a lot - Momo for her tea and Sato for baking. They’re both quiet but friendly, are generally pleasant to be around, yet have a lot of insecurities about how useful they are and that they don’t deserve to be in the hero course - imposter syndrome buddies! I can see them talking while baking/making tea which is relaxing for them and helping each other with their insecurities - like, I can also see Momo teaching Satou more about strategy, and them learning to think under pressure together.

Momo and Iida also - and plus Shouto. The former two are both Class Reps, so they probably work together a lot, and they’re all from hero families, so even though Shouto doesn’t they probably know each other. They might have sort of gravitated towards each other at times when they didn’t know anyone, or when they were feeling that pressure to match entire legacies of hero families and no one else really understood it. Plus Shouto feels like the type of person who’s just kind of hang around wherever, so I can see him just chilling while Momo and Iida do class rep stuff. Also study groups!

Ooh, Mina and Aoyama. Like, I personally hc Mina herself as having some trouble making friends growing up and having a bit of an unstable home life, and we all know what’s up with Aoyama... so them just kind of being loud theatre kids together but also bonding, because they both have so many insecurities they’re afraid of people seeing, but there’s finally someone else who gets it now. Also, they 100% have self care/spa sessions when they just trash talk people (bot not in a mean way ofc) and judge people’s fashion sense (despite that Mina’s is also wild), because they are THE gossip queens of 1A.

Idk, I feel like Izuku and Hagakure would also be really cute. Like, I hc Hagakure as having a lot of issues feeling like no one even notices she exists so having self worth issues, and then we have Izuku I-will-break-my-bones-and-die-because-I-have-been-conditioned-into-believing-I-have-no-value Midoriya. Like maybe Izuku can rant to Hagakure about all the uses he sees for her quirk and helps her realize that she’s actually NOT just there, and I can def see Hagakure being the type to yell at Izuku everything awesome he’s done and how they’d all be dead without him. Also someone needs to tell Izuku how toxic Bakugo is and idk Hagakure seems the type.

Ooh, Shouto and Sero would be a fun one. Sero seems pretty friendly, so I can see him trying to talk to awkward-seeming Shouto even if he gets rebuffed, while Shouto is like how?? Talk?? People?? Idk it would be super fucking funny for Sero to make some joke about whatever and Shouto just deadpan responds to him entirely seriously. Also, Fuyumi gives me incense and candle vibes, so maybe Sero’s hobby reminding him of his sister is just... nice for Shouto. Sero probably does most of the talking but that works for both of them.

Omg, Kaminari and Iida! Like I hc Kaminari as having ADHD and dyslexia, and Iida is A) the Class rep who takes his position VERY seriously, and B) just a genuinely wholesome person who wants to make sure all his classmates are comfortable and happy. Like I can bet Iida would spend a long time looking at study strategies that work with ADHD and showing it to him (and no hes not anxious because he Does Not Know how people work either wdym-) and Kaminari just crying because he’s genuinely touched and Iida Panicking (TM). Super wholesome stuff.

Tokoyami, Tsuyu, and Shouji would be nice. They’re all quiet and level headed who tend to lead with their heads and think things through, so I can see them drifting together under the cover of the more boisterous, loud members of the class, and them bonding over being the literal sole braincells lol. Maybe they meditate together? I can see them all enjoying that. Hanging out with them is probably a lot more peaceful given all the shit this class gets up to tbh.

OOH. Tokoyami, Ojirou, Tsuyu, Mina, and Shouji - Mutant gang! Maybe they can all bond over how looking ‘different’, even in a society where everyone has superpowers, can lead to people seeing you differently and even being scared - like maybe Mina does have insecurities over people being scared of how she looks and Shouji, Tokoyami and her can bond over it. Her and Tsuyu just talking about how female heroes are expected to be conventionally pretty and they might not be considered so. Maybe Ojirou and Tsuyu can talk about how their quirks are considered ‘boring’ but still get them looked at weird sometimes.

Ojrou and Ochako would be fun. Ochako, we know, has martial arts training from Gunhead, and Ojirou is a martial artist too I believe? Maybe they spar together and give each other tips - like Ochako can suggest more ways for Ojiro to incorporate his tail when he fights and Ojirou could point out areas she can use her quirk to her advantage, to help them combine their hand to hand combat and quirks. Also, Ojirou seems like a chill dude who’d just sort of talk to Ochako about her insecurities in an objective manner.

Also: the girls of 1A are all BFFs who paint each other’s nails, braid each other’s hair, punt M*neta into the sun, and rant about how mysoginistic hero society is and how they’re sexualized without wanting to be. They train together and eat snacks and do not give a fuck.

i am working on a whole fic to explain why i love him sm so look out for that,, but in short he seems so relatable?? like,, lazy jokes and highfives but also soft kisses and “lmao u love me dont u” “no the fuck but i’m gonna kiss u anyway” energy 🥺 eating icecream when its 2am and u rlly shouldn’t but u let slide anyway bc 2ams with hiro means deep talks and wistfully staring into the sky while hopes for the future together are spoken into existence. hiro is so real and present so i think he’s the perfect blend of best friend and lover which i CRAVE

2) iwaizumi hajime

ahh yes, the king of “the fuck u mean i love u? gross” but secretly has a recipe book of all the food u mentioned briefly that u rlly liked eating. he knows your boundaries when it comes to banter and knows to never cross it but will prod at the edges of it anyway LMAO,,, kei seems also as emotionally constipated as i am,,, im never good with partners being excessively open w their romantic guestures so kei’s naturally reserved nature vibes w that.

5) kuroo tetsurou

i look at the pic of him in 402 with his arms crossed and looking proud and i feel like crying all d time bc the energy he gives off feels so familiar,,,, he’s so dorky i cant 😔🤚 just jokes said as if he’s the funniest shit but you laugh at them anyway to make him feel better LMAO. i hc him as the best friend and first love type tho,,, relationships w him run so deep that whatever happens u never really lose him nor he lose you. the place in ur hearts where u took root in,, ya thats never goin away

Why do you keep calling Shatterstar gnc? He’s always been masculine? Just because he’s Bi doesn’t mean he has to be effeminate you know

Ok so I’ve gone back and fourth on how seriously I was gonna answer this so I’m sorry this took a bit to answer anyway here we go : I’m sorry if this makes no sense I’m tired

First off it’s important to remember in media what’s considered masculine and what’s not so while a lot of Star may be considered either or what’s important to remember is when him being a warrior, fighter/ect is being emphasized that’s them playing up traditional masculine characteristics and his presentation or softer moments is them playing up “feminine” characteristics (obv this is stupid but it’s also undeniably how people write characters 99% of the time)

Second off there is textual evidence he is at least viewed as gnc in universe in X Force-many comments were made about his makeup, hair (also I remember the pigtails) and general demeanor. Was it done in a ala homophobia way? Absolutely is it still canon? Yes (also so much worse now that it’s retroactively canonically homophobic as he’s literally Bi and definitely had a known thing w Julio at the time-so..way to teach him micro aggressions guys)

Now post x force in xfi he is drawn and written as far more traditionally masc, in appearance and presentation- even his body type seemed to change-as in x force he was described as acrobatic and fast, avoiding hits when he could in xfi he’s made into a brick house that just. Tanks hits-far more direct-even his fighting is made out to be more traditionally masculine

Now this could be broken down to character development (which we did not see and it’s important to note I can’t stress how ooc xfi Star is) but really it just reads as more homophobia as not only is Star aware enough of homophobia and gender roles to adapt to a more accepted persona (because the x force taught him homophobia) but also the writers at the time when he was canonically Bi went out of their way to adapt his character to both fit and avoid different stereotypes-he’s allowed to be a walking slutty Bi stereotype (which is literally so ooc) but can no longer be gnc-he’s allowed to be slutty and hit on women despite his relationship w Julio but he’s not allowed to present as anything less than “macho” in summary Star was just made palatable in all of the worst ways to straight audiences-they stereotypes they love were forced and the ones that make them uncomfortable were dropped

Later on we’re back to getting glimpses of less than traditionally “masc” only a warrior Star w him cooking for Julio and buying him a sweater in new mutants (which are not actually feminine traits but are presented as feminine/gay traits in media even lampshaded by what’s his name asking of his boyfriend bought his sweater to Julio (which he did-also another micro aggression marvel forces me to witness))

(There was that super racist x force run I didn’t read that came out around here-Star was back to being a super warrior macho macho man idk it was bad and the art was racist ignore it )

The slightly less masc Star is dropped in the Shatterstar solo where his character is p much completely retconned but also another more traditionally masc Star is pushed again w the crux of his problems w Julio being “they don’t fight enough”, the emphasizing of him still being a warrior despite how the crux of his character was trying to define himself out of that role assigned to him, there are definitely homophobic connotations to what’s her name (yes he’s Bi him having an ex who’s a girl isn’t the issue it’s the entire plot that is), and even weirder connotations with the use of his slave name/dead name as his go to name-he has only ever referred to himself as Shatterstar-that’s his name-other people either call him Shatterstar or Star-giving him a “traditionally masculine” name is certainly. A choice. There are a lot of problematic elements to the solo to unpack but the rest don’t really have to w the homophobia and forced gender roles Star seems to consistently face

Then in (new) xfi he’s gone something happened he’s on Mojoworld again he has long hair again (king) but his outfit is a wrestling one and his “masculinity” is once again emphasized with his being forced into being a warrior again just to like. Be on the island being tasked w immediately fighting Terry (I actually liked this scene but there were some choices about to consider especially about how the rest of the mutants still seem to view him)-and now we’re here where we’re right back to where we started w long hair, just left Mojoworld, definitely a warrior you can’t forget it Star. Only this time his identity isn’t up for interpretation or debate.

So long story short while Star may not be consistently gnc it was noticeable enough that once he was openly Bi they immediately started pushing for a more masculine Star and you can see the difference in characters as xforce Star and xfi Star might as well be different people. Stars ambiguous gender non conformity was enough that Marvel seems set on “fixing it” and writers are constantly walking a line in making sure he’s “not like those other gays” despite the fact that apparently he used to be. There is def canon evidence for a more gnc/less traditionally masc Star. No one is saying (but me) that he should be a Femme Bi dude they’re just saying they see him as gnc and like. Yeah he was🤷‍♀️

Also narratively him being Trans makes wayyy more sense also his people are machine made why do they even have different sexes or genders let alone follow the earths idea of it like he’s an alien., why would he care about the our perception of the sexes or gender- main point is he should be Nb and intersex but that’s another conversation

Anyway Star gnc king

Also yes just because he’s Bi doesn’t make him effeminate-he’s effeminate-not because of his sexuality - it is not his gender presentation despite how much it undoubtedly influenced it. People aren’t calling Star gnc because he’s Bi they’re calling him gnc because he used to look like this

from the beginning , it was never jo’s dream to be famous. while most girls were at home playing with toys, jo was getting prepped for auditions by her parents. they had ambitions ———— to get filthy stinkin’ rich off the back of their daughter, and for the most part, it worked.

jo landed a major role in a disney show ( think like hannah montanna or wizards of waverly place, that kinda cultural impact ), and quickly, she became one of america’s sweethearts. that was a lot for one kid to handle, with all the filming, press, etc. her parents, of course, ate up the attention and capitalized off it fairly quickly. brand deals, interviews, anything you could find a child star on at that time. it pretty quickly became overwhelming, but she was definitely raking in the dough. that meant she was to continue, no matter how tired of it she was.

which is where her perfectionism comes in to play, she had a lot of people relying on her ———— her parents, who she loved regardless of the stress they put her through, director, costars, company, etc. jo was definitely a natural when it came to acting. she knew how deliver line after line, emote, and successfully pull off a comedic moment. on screen, she played a charismatic, social butterfly, which was the exact opposite of who she really was, a quiet, nervous girl who valued her privacy and just wanted to live a normal life.

which began to take it’s toll on her. the older the she became, the less she liked being seen as the sweet girl next door, so she completely had a breaking out of that mold phase ( ala like miley cyrus or britney spears ) around the time her disney show came to an end. much to her parents dismay, she became known more for her off-screen antics than her onscreen one & definitely kept the paparazzi’s pockets fat. “jo vasquez spotted (fill in the blank with something controversial)” filled the pages of magazines for a lot of her 17-18 years, and she went from america’s sweetheart to probably one of america’s most hated lol. it had a negative impact on her career as well, which she was happy about for awhile. that is, until she realized that most of the money she made as a child was collected by her parents & not her.

with no money coming in & the relationship with her parents souring, she left home & avoided the spotlight for around three years. probably lost contact with a lot of people then too. she thought a nice, quiet time by herself & without paparazzi following her 24/7 would be healthy.

& it was. jo used the last bit of her childhood savings to fund her time away, but with money tight , she was a bit unsure of what was left to do. that’s where her great aunt came in. her great aunt had gotten rich of her stocks in a successful makeup line when she was in her late 30′s ( something that joanna’s parents were super jealous of ). with that kind of money, she was able to move to the hills and purchase a beautiful home. joanna had met her only once or twice, but there was definite tension between her parents and her aunt. the only thing she really knew about her was that she was wealthy and lived alone, no kids or significant other.

unexpectedly, her great aunt passed away, news that didn’t reach jo until she got a letter from her aunt’s lawyer, saying that since her great aunt didn’t have kids & didn’t want to leave her belongings to her niece ( jo’s mother ), she had left everything to jo. it completely caught her off guard, and she considers herself pretty lucky.

she knew that she couldn’t stay in the hills forever without some income, and because she feels like acting is what she’s best at, she decided to contact her old manager, and together, they came up with a plan to revive her career.

sooooo , now she’s back in los angeles. media has def heard of her return ( apart of her manager’s plan ) & there’s been a small amount of buzz around it. she’s more of a former a-list, so she’s really not that in demand. however, she did manage to land a supporting role in a major blockbuster ( something like a marvel movie probs ) so she’s hoping that’ll change fairly soon.

* PERSONALITY .

probably fake lol. let’s just be honest. kinda hates the celebrity lifestyle & is cautious when it comes to other people in the industry so yeah, she’s the type to smile in your face and then glare when your backs turned. she knows how important connections are in this business & word travels fast so she’s probably not “real” except with the people she’s closest to. also the type to be like “OMG ofc i know what that is. 😍 it’s my fave” but then have absolutely no clue what the fuck it is lmaoo a tragedy

she’s a hard worker & def a perfectionist. everything has to be perfect, and she’ll do as much as she can to get it right. it’s probs the reason she stuck with acting b/c the trial and error of learning something new would be way too much for her lol.

1. First Character I made, face #11. Miranda Morgan, Collector and Trader

2. Made another one when, for some godforsaken reason, Rockstar turned my first face ugly (I logged on after about a year and her face looked totally different from the one I made). She’s “Miranda” in her early years- heavier, less good at things lol. She’s a bounty hunter (but not a good one). Also face 11 (they are the same person, natch)

3. Jesse Luna, son #1. A soft boy but tough when he needs to be. Fucking excellent at catching wild horses. Gonna go into Trading one day but can’t resist that Madam Nazar and got his Collector bag first. Face #19

4. Teddy Bell (both were sent to live with other families), son #2. Soft cause he was raised spoilt. Dumb of ass, good of heart. Aspires towards owning a moonshine shack for the aesthetic. ALSO face 19 (well they are brothers)

5. Belle le Fleur. Bad Ass Bounty Hunter. Kicks 90 different kinds of ass. I thought maybe if I made an ‘unattractive’ character I could make them be without honor somehow. It was working, then she gave all that up to save the girl from ugly old Tumbleweed man (every time). She’s working her way down though. Face #16

6. Jackson Cody. Feral with a heart of gold? Same theory as with Belle, but he’s a fucking cinnamon roll. Also working his way down. Also face #16. (One day I’m gonna clean him up and he’s gonna marry Belle and they WILL live happily ever after)

7. Lucky Rose was from a Western au I was a part of and I had to make her, my beloved adopted dotter. I love her so much. She looks like a sweet little princess but she’s my only bab who WILL pull out a gun and shoot a motherfucker in a race (only if they shoot first) and then laugh over your corpse as she crosses the finish line. Yesterday some brawny player decided to sit on her horse and she beat the shit out of him right in front of God and everybody right there in Blackwater. Have I mentioned I love her? Face #3 because.

8. Cayo was a challenge I did with my nephew- we were each going to make a character to honor my dad, who would have been such a bad ass in the Old West. He is def a bad Mo-Fo - my first to reach low Honor and working his way through Sam Finch’s stuff. Number 19 AGAIN.

OK. So then I forced myself to do some things different.

9. Helene Boucher, who is the Rhodes Bounty Hunter lady’s sister (headcanon ok?). Father started out as a butcher, then spent a spell in California mining for silver where he found a pocket that made him quite wealthy. He quit while he was ahead and turned his earnings into a meat processing plant in New York. She was sent to Europe to be educated (as they’d given up on her rebellious sister) and came home to save her kin from the dirty nasty Wild West. Only her sister didn’t need saving... Now she’s working on being a Bounty Hunter herself though she spends a lot of time playing piano at Moonshine shacks and might end up doing that too. Face #4

10. Billie is the daughter of a scam artist preacher Missionary and his kidnapped woman wife. Her mother was among the first wave of Koreans who came to the United States via Hawaii. The missionary had gone to try and convert the native Hawaiians to his hair-brained version of his religion and ended up being run out but taking a souvenir in the form of a person (I don’t like him either). Unlike literally everyone else in the Old West, he failed at gold mining AND converting natives and headed east to the “more civilized” new England. When her mother realized she was pregnant, she escaped to Saint Denis, finding work at a restaurant, leaving Billie to roam the streets, dressed as a boy (for her protection). Billie pickpocketed, to bring money home for her mother, and it often landed her in jail, which angered her mother- who wanted better for her. When her mother remarried and was finally secure and happy, Billie took off to find adventure and get into trouble and stuff. Face #15

11. Antonio started as an attempt to make a certain celebrity, but when he got in the game looked nothing like what I wanted so I wiped him and started fresh. (ironically, people tell me this one looks like three different celebs, none are the one I was aiming for). Anyway I have no backstory for him other than he’s Italian, just a whole Himbo, and left New Jersey to find a wife but only seems to find trouble. Due to his always being matched with villianous bastard types, he is the lowest level honor I have. He has to do each Sam Finch quest numerous times cause he is JUST. SO. DUMB. I love him though. Face #2

12. Max is the son of an Japanese immigrant who came to Chiapas, Mexico, to grow coffee, and a Mexican woman (she lived on a neighboring farm). They eventually came to America and tried to run general stores across the Heartland but did not feel very welcome there and did not do well. They ended up in Saint Denis where they run a successful restaurant and Fish market. Max did not have a lot of supervision and was often bullied, but when he hit puberty all the work hauling fish nets made him huge and people quit pickin on him. None of this had an effect on his character. His momma taught him well and he is def my one character who will die to protect someone calling for help. People think him dull because he keeps his mouth shut but he knows four languages and is incredibly perceptive. I might make him a moonshiner for funsies. Face #20

(wow why did they get so much backstory? Trust me they ALL have a novel’s worth I was just inspired to get it all down while it was in my head.)

One Piece Readthru

heyo ive decided its time for me to catch up on the one piece manga finally!! i last read it uhhh sometime late 2018?? MAYBE early 2019....anyways ill be liveblogging it, basically for myself but if anyone is interested then enjoy lol

so w.out further ado hers 927-931 hya

uh ok i left off kinda in the middle of the wano arc, so im scanning thru some stuff to see what i remember.....i dont really remember what the deal is with that ginger (?) pompadour guy lmao. theres a lot of new characters and intricate politics in this arc from what i remember.

i havent really gotten spoiled for anything....i know that something bad happens to kid & killer, somethins up w/sabo (but we dont know what), luffy fights kaido (more than once i think?) uhhhhh we get roger flashbacks and hear the yonkous bounties....thats abt all i really know. so im hype to find out what else has gone on....

im gonna start around 927, i defs read this but i want a refresher

Heartland 12x02 - Hearts Run Free review

Previously on Heartland:

Mitch: I’m dating again

Me: I know. You’re in two hallmark movies in the span of a month (Winter Castle & Winter Love Story - btw)

OK, jokes aside, I’ve already seen Winter Castle but if anyone is actually interested in me recapping Winter Love Story, out later this month, I can try to do a live blog type thing.

ANYWAYS, onto the episode!

Tim

Anyone else kind of upset there was no ‘we know something they don’t?” thing where we see the whole convo that went down and then him coming to the house to move in, even though the family doesn't? That way we can truly appreciate why each party is acting said way. Gosh, for such an important event we don’t even SEE Casey.

Anyways, Team Jack. He def should have consulted Jack first - plus begs the question - how temporary is temporary in Heartland world?

So in the end Tim tells Lou the truth BUT ASDJHASJDKH we don’t hear it!!!! what the heck Heartland?! All we really get is that timing is a funny thing. And here’s the funny thing, Timing is a funny thing. Especially when Music overlaps with what the speaking.

Amy & Ty

Amy & Ty are starting to work together - and it’s coming together thanks to Dean’s approval and pleasant surprise over Amy’s work with Bandit - and after hearing that they are now starting to work together as the ‘dream team.’

Anyways when said mare and foal (currently unnamed) escape again, Amy and Ty find them in another situation (when will they learn?!), but this time it’s the mare whose in trouble. long story short, this is when they come to the conclusion that Will’s herd at Pike River is the perfect place for them - and I agree. it really does seem pretty perfect.

Speaking of reminiscing:

I honestly just feel bad for Jack the entire episode. First Lisa ditches her husband on their romantic long awaited weekend for Aunt Evelyn, then Tim without warning moves in. I mean, i’m still a lil upset it ruined Amy/Ty’s weekend alone time but ehhhh I guess it’s okay. ANYWAYS, Pike River.

Pike River (Amy, Jack & Ty)

So I know that it was billed as - or in my head as a romantic weekend but... as I watch it play out, even if it was just the two of them, I am coming to terms that it probably wouldn’t be very romantic as the head of the herd seems to be causing problems and having trouble accepting the mare and foal. Plus, they did get plenty of alone time when Will was with Jack.

“And now we’re married. Have our own beautiful baby girl. I’d say we’re doing pretty good” - Ty

Amy and her horse whisperer sense talks to the head of the herd and gets through - convinces the head to accept the mare/foal. Seems like the solution - although it probably took a few days - was somewhat straight forward. True in miracle girl fashion, Will now has two more mouths to feed and Amy has solved another horse issue (PS I’d LOVE to see a horse issue last more than a few episodes - a la Phoenix or Spartan. It would really show Amy testing her skills)

“You’re a cowboy Jack. You always have been, always gonna be and Lisa loves you for that and don’t go changing into someone else- especially when that someone else sounds like the idiot I used to be” - Will

God bless Will for cheering up Jack about Lisa - for suggesting a guys day fishing trip. I'm a little... skeptical because we see Lisa crying in stills with Jack later on in the season right? So I’m guessing that either something major happens during this fishing trip or it never even happens. And I just don’t want to think about that. Please let this fishing trip happen because I want to hear more stories from the past!

Lisa

So here’s a timeline of my thoughts:

7:19 - So Evelyn’s emergency is that she wants Lisa to... be her travel companion? Because... she’s lonely and her boyfriend isn’t the greatest? Call me skeptical but early on i’m Team Jack - she’s about to forgo a long awaiting trip with Jack to be with her aunt - a grown woman with her own friends and who can travel herself. So we’ll see how this plays out.

13:36 - So apparently Evelyn is sick? Lisa seems to believe it but Jack is skeptical. Maybe a compromise that she leaves after said romantic weekend? Did they even discuss how long she’d be going for because Jack seemed against her going all together when we don’t even know for how long or the finite details.

27:15 - Gotta love Will for talking Jack off the ledge and kind of seeing things from a different perspective. Advice once given to Will by Jack himself.

36:58 - So Lisa has decided to go... (boooo) but is also going to be Amy/Ty’s first full time clients? So bittersweet I guess. I’m looking forward to seeing Amy and Ty working together more and more at Fairfield but also sad because Lisa won’t be there. Or in this season at all.

40:04 - okay stop breaking my heart Jisa and please come back soon. please. pretty please? Jack needs you with Tim around.

Georgie

She heard about an opening for a high level training coach - Kim Price. She feels that she should give it a shot since Amy always feels bad for not spending enough time with Georgie. I’m with Georgie - plus this is waaay better for Amy and frees up her time to work on her new business venture.

Turns out (as we all probably expected) Amy only wants whats best for Georgie, even if Georgie insists that “Amy is best.” (she isn’t) It is nice to see Amy kind of upset that Georgie “fired her” even if she knows she is absolutely in the right and it’s for the best - I truly believe that just because you know something is right, doesn’t mean it can’t hurt; if you really cared in the first place then it SHOULD upset you a little even if you know its right.

Looks like Kim is down to train Georgie, with a caveat - she has to ride of horse of choosing. AKA not Phoenix, but Georgie refuses - she’s a loyal one and something tells me movie magic will make her make the time of 0:56. (alas i am proven right - i mean in the sense Kim agrees even though she was 1 second over)

Lou

Lou’s calling her father, asking how things went with Casey. I get Tim is all cagey and shit but give him some time to tell the family. She doesn’t even know if it went well! And it seems evident that... something went haywire because now he’s moving into the house since he sold Big River (a lil prematurely no?)

It’s nice to see her stepping up to take care of Lyndy after so many seasons of being away so often. It’s also nice to see Lou step up to help Georgie with her training and spending time with her daughter - even giving her valid advice. And to see Lou on a horse. Here’s to more of this Lou please.

Because Lou is fine. She’s fine. How often can she say fine before someone believes it? How much can she talk before she talks herself off the ledge? Because they’re totally “friends”, friends in quotes - because that conversation between her and Mitch was... something. A little combative, with both of them trying to pretend they’re 100% over each other when clearly theres still something there.

(I may have said because a little too much in the latter paragraph. Oops)

- I managed to type the majority of this during the commercials... which is actually pretty impressive in itself.

- Gotta love Lou’s line of “Given the new living circumstances, I’ll move into the loft” - I’m thinking she’s kind of grateful to be away from this mess and the inevitable Jack/Tim arguments. Did anyone else wish we saw Lou actually take care of Lyndy?

- Ty’s “Why?” is all of us; i bet he thought he was coming as a chaperone - when it really is long not necessary. If only they knew the entire story - actually “if only they knew the entire story” seems to be the theme:

history

mary had a little lamb? WRONG. mary had a little calf. because she was born on a dairy farm in the highlands of scotland ( laugh at my joke pls i worked hard on it ). she was born third to two muggles – a scottish father and a mexican mother, who loved each other deeply – and would eventually become their middle child. she could have become overlooked, but mary never felt discounted at home: while her parents were very often busy with the cows, their love ran deep.

her youth consisted of this: running through fields of grass, attending a muggle elementary where people sang songs at her ( old macdonald had a farm and mary had a little lamb, the former of which was, of course, accurate ), playing with the animals, building tree houses with her brothers and sister and playing football every spare moment she got. it was good and simple and wholesome.

of course, strange things happened, as they tend to with muggleborns: she’d explode her brother’s toy when she got angry, or let things fly around the room when she was laughing. when she found out she was a witch at age eleven, things fell in its place. and the macdonalds, while traditional catholics, accepted mary, which is the most important thing of it all. her parents were shocked, yes, but they squeezed her shoulder and promised to discover this all together.

which?? very much influenced mary greatly? because it went against a lot of things they – and she, too – believed in. magic was deemed evil by the church they attended. everything about this was supposed to be wrong, but her parents shifted their views because their love for their daughter was greater than their desire to cling to all the rules the church laid down for them, this has allowed her to have a faith in people, and while she may be cynical and bitter at times, that faith is still there.

i mean --- her parents accepted her, they were capable of openmindedness despite being traditional people in most other situations. other people can too.

hogwarts was as chaotic as home, and mary settled in quite nicely. sorted into gryffindor ( she guessed it was for her rambunctious nature, but who knew ), she found herself a second home and loved it. as it turned out, she was rather good with a wand as well – she didn’t do so good at essays, though – and genuinely liked learning ( except for history of magic. fuck that. ).

being a muggleborn had its downsides, of course, but mary never really allowed herself to feel discouraged. hurt? yes, definitely, but never discouraged. she wasn’t going to let it get to her, she told herself, but it did, especially when the harsh words turned into something more. it was during her confrontation with mulciber that mary felt true, harsh fear for the first time. she felt shut down, paralysed, depressed —– but then, after a while, she got up and took some important steps. she reported mulciber, which led to nothing, which caused her to feel angry, which in turn caused her to feel determination. if the system wasn’t going to be on her side, she’d just have to fucking change it, right? mary started throwing herself in her schoolwork, determined to join the dmle – hopefully as an auror, but any position would do. she suppressed her fear and the trauma that was there, and kept her head straight.

this entire situation is up for change and stuff when/if we get a mulciber!

graduation rolled around and mary got the five required NEWTs to even apply. it was a nervewracking process, but once she got into auror training, she cried. like. for a full ass day. she was so proud of herself and she felt so determined and !! man. it was such a good, defining moment. around the same time, mary joined the order; she knew the ministry was corrupt, and that it’d not allow her to do everything she wanted to, when the order DID. mary had too much anger, too much determination to fight this bullshit to just stick with the ministry, and so the order seemed like the right place.

mary is a human espresso. she’s so. damn. bitter?? despite the fact that she keeps on going and that she’s fighting her ass off, she’s tired and angry that things don’t seem to be moving in the right direction, she’s feeling bitter about the fact that this kind of discrimination is happening right in front of her eyes and that she does not have enough power to stop it. she feels powerless, which makes her feel bitter, which makes her cynical.

still! mary is not necessarily a debbie downer to be around. she keeps her bitterness ( and hopelessness, even ) carefully hidden in boxes in her mind. on the outside, she’s filled with quips and smiles and quick comments! just a sociable bean, but just a bitter one.

history

her youth consisted of this: running through fields of grass, attending a muggle elementary where people sang songs at her ( old macdonald had a farm and mary had a little lamb ), playing with the animals, building tree houses with her brothers and sister and playing football every spare moment she got. it was good and simple and wholesome.

which?? very much influenced mary greatly? because it went against a lot of things they – and she, too – believed in? this has allowed her to have a faith in people, and while she may be cynical and bitter at times, that faith is still there.

the entire mulciber situation is up for change, should we get a mulciber, or if it doesn’t correspondent with the plot/rp canon!

graduation rolled around and mary got the five required NEWTs to even apply. it was a nervewracking process, but once she got into auror training, she cried. like. for a year. she was so proud of herself and she felt so determined and !! man. it was such a good, defining moment. around the same time, mary joined the order; she knew the ministry was corrupt, and that it’d not allow her to do everything she wanted to, when the order DID. mary had too much anger, too much determination to fight this bullshit to just stick with the ministry, and so the order seemed like the right place.

missy for sure, lmao. she’s def the type that would do that to basically any partner, but definitely aymeric. they don’t get to see each other often so whenever she does get to do something intimate and silly like that, she takes the chance. plus, she likes to imagine that it embarrasses him and makes him smile. (it does.)

who buys the other cheesy gifts

they buy each other cheesy gifts. it’s insufferable. they are both always thinking of each other, so when they buy each other things, even small things, the other can’t stand tossing it out because it just touches them so much that they were thinking of them, and then the gifts just pile up until it becomes a problem and they have to sort through them and keep the most important things so they don’t end up drowning in them. they’re both goofy as hell, in summary.

who initiated the first kiss

it was sooort of a mutual thing?? at the point that they had their first kiss, they both had already wanted to do it for a very, very long time. it was one of those “it’s a matter of time” sort of situations, y’know?

who kisses the other awake in the morning

missy is more likely to kiss him awake than the other way around– aymeric’s always worried about waking her, because he knows how hard she works and how staying at his place between patches helps her rest and relax in a safe environment. he wants her to soak up as much as she can before she has to return to her duties(and sort of wants to watch her while she sleeps because shit man hes in love and she’s so cute and pretty to him), so he usually hesitates before waking her.

missy, however, with her complete disregard of any of that, wakes up in the morning and makes it a goal to kiss him before she does anything else. but he likes it, so it’s always a pleasant, groggy surprise.

who starts tickle fights

missy starts them, but aymeric ends them, mama. he’s merciless with his tickles once she gets him in silly mode. if she lets him get control in a tickle fight it’s just over, she’s breathlessly giggling and all curled up into herself within minutes. she’s also far more ticklish than him, so that probably contributes.

who asks who if they can join the other in the shower

see, aymeric asks, because he’s a gentleman and he doesn’t want to overstep any boundaries. missy, on the other hand, once she’s comfortable with aymeric and they’ve been together for a while, will just walk right in. it’s been cause for quite a few surprises on aymeric’s end before, but he’s grown used to it by now, and even welcomes it.

who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch

missy, but that’s in part because she always knows where to find aymeric. since she’s always on the move it’s a bit harder for aymeric to surprise her on practically anything, but especially in this case. if aymeric ever got the chance to, though, i’d love to imagine he would. he’s the big cheesy type, in my head.

who was nervous and shy on the first date

i like to think they both were, at the start! if we consider the dinner their first date, i can definitely imagine that they started off the night a bit shyly. but between aymeric’s earnest desire to get to know her and missy’s tendency to talk practically forever if you get her going, it went pretty smoothly from there on out.

who kills/takes out the spiders

both of them, i think. this isn’t a huge issue to either of them i don’t believe– i can’t imagine either being too scared of spiders, considering all the things they have to deal with on a daily, and missy kind of likes some of them. however, this being said. they both only take out spiders. never kill them, if they have the choice. they are both very passionate about this and will be indignant if someone questions them on it.

who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk

i don’t imagine either of them to be the type to get drunk, let alone be loud when drunk, but i guess if i had to pin it on anyone, it would be missy. she is the… exuberent one in the relationship, after all. though i don’t think she’d be that passionate about it, she’d definitely be the type to, when drunk, get super touchy-feely with him and tell him how much she loves him over and over.

hey babes drum-roll it’s admin fany here to welcome yall~ with some random info about me I guess uh so I’m 26, living in northern europe, most of the time dying bc I’m not made for these hot ass summers, other times just being distracted twelve times outta ten jsyk I’m not ignoring anyone my attention span is just in the negatives. or I’m playing overwatch. or subnautica when I’m feeling particularly masochistic. would drop dead without tea. ye. that’s all for today folks

born in Seoul but his family moved to USA when he was barely 6. they moved around a l o t since then but stayed within the borders. save for one weird year in France back in 2010

he haTED it. all the constant moving around and starting at new schools with new people trying to get new friends and find new hobbies and leaving pretty much everything behind so often just stressed the hell out of his young self and he was in a perpetual state of over-emotional about the whole ordeal and angry and bitter and yeah. not having a good time

over the years he managed to find ways to cope with it, drawing and painting being a major thing as it was one of very few things he could just continue without any special arrangements made or it feeling different. putting all that bent up negativity on paper was helpful in itself so he stuck with it without much thought then, clinging into a lifeline of one constant in a sea of variables

later on it morphed from being less of a therapeutic activity and more one of him being able just flow with creativity, paint with a less personal agenda and enjoy it way more too ( not to say he doesn't still use it as a form of escapism too )

reading was another thing he found enjoyment in, especially during his early teenage years. that is something he doesn't engage that often in anymore however

his parents didn’t really care about what hobbies he took on ( even with painting carrying throughout the years he ended up trying a whole slew of other things too ) until it became apparent he was actually considering art as a legit career path. neither agreed it being a good idea but they didn’t flat out deny him either.. just were very patronising about it for months and by that time he had come to actual decision of going through with it out of pettiness alone lmao. which of course served nothing but to legit piss them off and led to a number of arguments they still have to this day yikes

his parents entire view on life seemed to be there was no point getting attached to anything, sentimentality was a flaw and you could just buy everything you needed again without much care for what was left behind. especially his mom had a lot of emotionally abusive ways to steer his life in the direction she wanted, but giving just enough freedom for him to think he had a say in anything. not to say she wasn’t supportive and encouraging too but he honest to god can’t tell now how much of it was genuine. she was especially fond of using subtle blackmail in form of referring to her own feelings and how his actions will upset her, occasionally bursting into a loud tirade which was then quickly pushed to the side without any apologies for making him in turn upset so boy was always just on edge. this still happens but he pretty much only communicates with her through calls anymore so, Noeul just hangs up when she starts acting up. his dad was more the type to not involve himself into his hobbies and likes or anything at all he only cared about academic plans.

that all messed him up big time in his younger years bc he was inherently just very attached to everything and everyone but now.. it’s almost the complete opposite, enough repetition and shit will stick I guess cause he has next to no sentimental feelings towards anything, in turn actually loves travelling and meeting new people now. partially also cause he doesn’t feel obligated to uphold anything or allow himself being chained down, he treats everything like it’s fleeting, but not without care– don’t assume he doesn’t care when that’s something he does in abundance actually. he just.. accepts nothing lasts forever. ironic enough he’s adopted far too many of his parent’s habits to count now but has grown more tender with the experiences rather than cold. probably a miracle in itself. hella guarded about his feelings tho

so yeah he moved to LA ( parents were at the time both living in NYC ) for art school and got that bachelor of fine arts degree, graduating just spring last year and has no desire to further those studies cause screw school he’s done with institutions for a decade

also his parents filed for divorce while he was at it. before he was even done with freshman year. wasn’t all too surprising nor did he have anything to really say about it, except the times mom called him whilst drunk and essentially blamed it on him being a bad son :/// his dad’s fucked off somewhere he hasn’t heard whole lot from him in last three years beside birthday texts and money transfers to his bank account. and subtle messages through mom about how he expects him to clean up one of these days. meanwhile mom mostly contacts just to check he’s alive & doing well financially while slipping in vague ‘if you would have just listened to me‘s and ‘when will you come to your senses’s >_>

forgot to mention his dad’s a CEO of a small airline company. don’t ask me what his mom does idk prob some manager of a huge ass successful online shop?? something along those lines

will not speak about them if asked tbh don't expect anything other than "they're alive."

does not like announcing his ( their ) wealth to the world either and tries not to make decisions that could reflect that but something always has to give in the end. like he’s just way too happy to blow money on other people no matter how subtle he tries to be about it and often like his parents buys new stuff instead of finding ways to bring his old along, some of his clothes are also a dead giveaway it’s not so much that he specifically purchases anything cause it’s designer but if it looks nice he doesn’t see it as any different buying from any other store around. smells awfully lot like privilege but he’s unapologetic in getting exactly what he wants, it’s not his problem if someone takes offence to that

kind of also hates that he’s so dependant on parent’s money still but has made peace with it by giving away and works twice as hard for his own stuff, regardless if it yields anything cause he’s not doing this whole painting thing as a means to gain money ( would like to, but alas, it’s a tricky career path ) more from pure passion for the art

and noeul def is not gonna tell them to stop sending him cash he'll just have fun spending it in all the shit they'd hate-- even if they've basically set conditions but weird enough haven't cut him off yet. guess that really is the only thing they can give him and they know it too :))

so. doesn’t actually like sitting idle even tho he all but could, yet cannot happily place himself in an establishment with very strict 9 to 5 shifts and such, so if and when he takes on extra work occasionally it’s always part-time, and for own personal gratification

in the case of him recently taking on a spot as a part-time barista here in acarike ( started like, two days ago or something ) was also bc of keeping up appearances ( surely he would run out of money eventually? no, but no one needs to know that ) and getting to know some of the people around since his group of road-tripping friends have seriously decided to settle in

if anyone was wondering yes he has experience working in cafes, among other places. his parents abhorred him taking on such jobs at all cause “what was the point? are we not providing enough?” first of all did he ask?

I guess he is currently residing in the stardust motel?? but is looking for a place

for him travelling in the past few years has been sorta cathartic, inspiring if I dare say both in personal growth and in his work since he can decide on everything by himself, where he wants to go, for how long, for why etc

sometimes likes when he has company for that, other times he just needs to make a trip in solitary. altogether prefers meeting random people along the way

is a kind of odd friend, loyal, compassionate and all that but puts himself before anyone else. or rather puts his emotional and other needs before everything else. if he feels you’re the one getting more out of it than he is it’s not worth it sorry. very generous tho and sees it as his duty to help others in any way if it doesn’t inconvenience him. not unreliable but available only when it suits him. so unless it’s life threatening or emotional distress he will not drop everything for even a friend’s sake you can wait an hour or two. can make friends as quick as he drops them

might get a little inappropriately affectionate with friends. especially so when intoxicated

is an even weirder lover. he loves the idea and feeling of being in love and the emotional thrill of it. relationships are fun yeah but commitment?? not in his. vocabulary. to elaborate he lives for the push and pull and the suspense of it all and needs things to stay stimulating on all levels across the board when deepening relationships further while also being able to maintain a sense of own freedom. he craves the sort of emotional security and gratification it all brings but refuses to become dependant on it ( he knows how that will go ), furthermore does not like all the limitations it brings nor everything being perfect to the point of feeling fake??

tries to make it clear that he’s NOT looking for anything long term but even then people haven’t taken it well when he out of the blue announces they should stop whatever it is they’re doing. he always feels bad about it and tries to part in good terms but yeah :// many hearts have been broken. it’s probably even worse for the other person cause Noeul himself seems to have absolutely no problem continuing his life like nothing happened. all this has made him into a bit of a serial dater??

in whole he takes everything as they are, nothing is everlasting and he doesn’t try to make it so, doesn’t necessarily want to. values experiences but doesn’t get too hung up on letting go of them. including relationships. this is something a lot of people in his life wont understand and it’s frustrating for everyone involved sometimes but you gotta do what you gotta do. might be scared of opening up to people. of that attachment. maybe he’s actually just picky and is waiting for something out of the world magical who knows

is actually in constant war with himself over positive and negative emotions but filters that out pretty handily. most of the time. cause uh absolutely will turn vicious and loud when angry. sensitive to criticism and personal attacks but gets over it quick enough. does hold grudges but mainly towards people whose opinion he cares about. strangers rarely phase him. has random emotion™ bursts but tbh only cries when being shouted at and/or being target of someone’s wrath-- OR when noeul's angry himself?? also lowkey dramatic but most of the time he’s just sorta chill and cheery, occasionally sarcastic but in a good-natured way he doesn’t mean ill with it. has very strong opinions on some things but doesn’t care if someone else sees it differently. as long as they’re not saying their way is the only right way. or if their reasoning is utter bullshit which he will call out then :))

negative people just make him laugh. will not take your ass seriously at all if you’re being a douche. used to take offence to these kinds of people all the time but he’s grown out of it and learned to simply ignore people who don’t deserve the time of his day. at least outwardly.

Riverdale Roundup: 2x05 “ When A Stranger Calls”

Alright here I am once again, watching this damn show almost a week late. I honest to god don’t really remember what happened last time.

Oh right the Black Hood gave Betty a call and was like “ Hey girl, it’s me. Ya boy”. And he’s all like your sisters Uterus is FULL of sin so like if you don’t behave i’m going to kill that bish.” Alice comes in and assumes Betty is on the phone with her boyfriend like a normal girl instead of a mystery psycho killer and is like okay “ I pretended to like your boyfriend for like 3 minutes but honestly you should dump him. “

The writers remember that Betty and Archie are supposed to be freinds and they walk to school together and Betty is like I have tea to spill. Archie is like “you gotta go to the police” and Betty is like” nah i’m good. I’m fifteen and a grown up so like I can handle a literal murderer.”

So the Lodge family is gathered in Daddy's study and plotting about getting some other richie rich family to give them money for their SoDale(?) project and i’m like I STILL don’t know what the fuck that is.

Jughead meets up with the cast off B league teenage string of the South Side Serpents and it’s confirmed to me that Dilton confirmed did stab himself like a little attention seeking whore. I was unsure about that. So the Serpents think that the next reasonable step after the rumble at midnight with the Riverdale high school Bulldogs is to blow up a LITERAL building. That makes good sense. The slithery little snakey snakes are all like “ we aren’t the bad guys and to prove it to you we’re going to blow up the local newspaper with a pipe bomb our bros cousin made in his garage.”

Veronica starts going off about her old life with this Nicky bish back in nam where they went on crazy adventures and stayed up all night and i’m like oh last year? When you were 14?

Jughead rolls up to the South side Serpent bar and is like ‘okay i’m in put me in the gang’, and they’re like “ okay but first we’re going to haze you like you’re a pledge at Alpha Sigma Phi at Centeral Florida State University. “

The black hood is all like “Betty publish this story about your mother and her past on the south side” but like he literally sends her a newspaper clipping from back in the day. So don’t people already know about this? Why is it a big deal? Riverdale is small and gossipy as we’ve already seen so like did no one read the newspaper that day or did Alice gather them all up and burn them before anyone got their morning paper from their doorstep?

The Sinclairs roll up and “ Nicholas” as Veronica calls him at least 11 times in the span of this 45 second scene is like “ this hotel sucks” and Veronica is like “ The five seasons is lovely.” So this is supposed to be a play on the four seasons which are VERY fancy hotels. In what world would a town like Riverdale have anything close a four seasons or anything close to the kind of apartment that the Lodges live in? Nicholas should be complaining about having to stay at a Best Western or as this show would probably call it a Best Eastern or some bs like that, because that is far more plausible and riverdale is nothing if not completely plausible. So where do I know this Nicholas guy from? Okay so I JUST discovered that his name is St. Clair and not Sinclar. Fucking sue me. I’m not going back to change it. that’s just too much work and I literally could not care less. He was that kid DJ in XOXO and in Staten Island summer. Oh shut the fuck up he was in 13! The musical. That’s fucking hilarious. Mirder me.

So Alice (whose bangs are once again different and I can’t handle it omg pick a style and stick to it) is all like Betty did you write this letter yourself for attention you sneaky little bish. Honestly it’s not going to shock me if the person who is calling Betty isn’t the real black hood and just someone fucking with her. How iconic would it be if it was Cheryl being like “ you threatened me in the bathroom so now i’m going to ruin your whole fucking life”. That would honestly make sense. So either Alice or Betty are getting Black Hood notes from a copy cat. OR there are two blackhoods. Who the hell knows?

Archie is in his bedroom pumping iron because you know he’s a man.

Jughead is trying to learn the serpent pledge and honestly shouldn’t it just be like “ I promise to share and be a friend” ala the girl guides. That’s so much simpler. So Jughead has to take care of hot dog and get spat on while what’s his face screams in his face and to top that all off he has to put his hand in the Rattle snake enclosure and i’m like okay i’m out. No gang for me. Toni calls Jughead Juggie and honestly i’m cringing.

Betty keeps coming for her mother and i’m like chill bish.

Veronica, Nick, and Archie are hanging out in her bedroom and it’s the strangest trio ever. Veronica turns down a line of coke because she’s too full from eating copious amounts of pasta at dinner i’m sure.

If Betty could change her ring tone I would be like SUPER grateful. Okay thanks. She finds out she would recognize the face under the hood and i’m like no shit don’t like 11 people live in this town? The black hood is like “ I’m your only friend so cut Veronica loose” and not going to lie that’s totally something I would do.

Jughead and Betty greet each other like they’re coming back from war in the middle of Pops dinner and they both just sit across the table from one another and feed each other lies. So healthy. So not annoying.

Nick is throwing a party and Cheryl is like fuck you all i’m coming to this thing. She’s Riverdale’s “ Resident IT girl” and she wants EVERYONE to know it.

It’s like three minutes into the party and Nick is like “ you’re friends are boring let’s all get high” and Veronica is like let’s pretend to be normal and i’m like is it normal that 15 year olds get high in hotel suite off pixie stick esque mystery drugs?

Betty tears Veronica a new asshole and is honestly SUPER harsh but honestly pretty honest and i’m like Betty did you have to be so brutal? But whatever. Into it.

Toni rolls up to warn Jughead about joining the gang but all I could focus on was the dog in the background.

Nick is coming on to Veronica and she’s like lol we’re friends, no bro. Then he’s like “listen up bitch. If you don’t blow me i’m going to tell my daddy to tell your daddy to go fuck himself.” So like yikes.

The black hood is like defs not #Teambughead and is like okay Betty dump him. She’s like shit, and basically begs Archie to break up with Jughead for her and I would be judgy but I once made my sister quit my job for me so like bitches in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

So Alice rolls up to this gala in a very TS style fashion owning the snake label in a romper that basically goes down to her belly button. She promptly tells her good for nothing husband to shut up and continues to act as if she owns the place. I love it.

Nick is like “ omg so sorry for trying to blackmail you into sleeping with me V. I’ve been to rehab btw” and Veronica is like “ Okay we can be BFFs again. Let’s drink some ginger ale.”

Archie breaks up with Jughead for Betty in front of his whole new posey and it’s ice cold. The Serpent's proceed to beat the living shit out of Jughead and i’m like cute. Best way to gain loyalty from your new member.

Nick and Cheryl are chatting and it’s going well until he’s like “ hmmm she seems into me. Guess I’ll roofie her.” Like what the actual fuck you monster?

Josie and the Pussycats + Veronica decide to pull out a cover of a song from Rent and i’m like i’m not mad but why? It just seems like such a random choice. They note Nick taking a clearly fucked up Cheryl “ out for some air” and i’m like are you not in a literal tent?

They run through the halls of the 5 seasons and discover a master set of keys because all hotels just leave those hanging around. They rescue Cheryl and beat the living shit out of Nick which like good on you but that’s like super illegal and he’s so the type to lawyer up with Daddys money.

Black Hood tells Betty to go to this abandoned house to find out who he is and i’m like bitch this is SUCH a bad idea. Obviously he was never going to tell her who he is. Like what did she expect she’d put the mask on turn around and be like “ OLD MAN SMITHERS!” like this is some Scooby Doo type shit? Clearly not you silly bish.

Okay so we all gather around Cheryls bedside and Archie is ready to go FULL red circle on Nick and honestly betty is almost just sitting there like “ why am I here?”

Toni and Jughead admire his new tattoo while he ices his now fucked up face and then suddenly they're making out and i’m like okay murder me i’m not here for this.

Black Hood is like “ Betty what the fuck you’ve been telling Archie we’ve been wheeling! That’s so rude. I’m going to murder your whole family if you don’t give me the name of someone to murder” and she’s like “ Nick the would be rapist” and black hood is like “ yas good one. We are totes twins.”

Boom. Episode over. There’s a new episode in like two days so like a bitch will be back.

what drugs have you tried and what were they like? have you ever tried ketamine?

i have tried coke, mdma, shrooms, lsa/morning glory and adderall!! i haven’t tried ketamine and don’t rly plan to cuz it doesn’t seem like my type of drug but who knows, man…

oh let me preface by saying everything besides the lsa i took while either drunk or stoned (or both…almost always both)… i RLY like mixing drugs but if you dont know about the multiplier effect, different drugs getting taken at once will have a different(and usually stronger) reaction than taking it by itself, so my experiences with everything might be WAY different than the norm, who knows

coke i didnt particularly like and i MIIIIGHT try it one more time like if it just happens to be in the area i wouldnt turn it down probably but i thought it was EH. (i was also drunk, stoned, and had mdma in my system, so).. it def gave me more energy, it made my tongue and hands numb, there was a slight like jittery feeling behind my eyes, like my vision itself was buzzing a lil which made looking at things fun… honestly tho? it just made me feel manic. i’m manic all the time, bruh, dont need a drug to help me with that… 2/10 not in a rush to try again

mdma i LOOOOOVED…. it and shrooms are tied for my favorite drugs holy FUCK. again, i think its a drug that most people use to elevate mood because, again, it booted me towards feeling manic, but i feel like it was a little calmer with mdma than with coke (aka no jitters, no bursts of energy rly, it felt more subtle). everything got nice and loose which was nice. when you’re moving it’s GREAT, it just fades into the background and just makes everything feel more intense and makes you feel more present in it. every time i was still, tho, i NOTICED it, because it would all whoosh into my head (i get like that when i’m stoned too so that could’ve been cuz of the pot). MDMA MAKES SEX S O GOOD I CAME FAR TOO MUCH AND IT ALMOST KILLED ME LMFAO. it just makes skin feel.. REALLY GOOD…. NICE GOOD FEELS… like i’m constantly just almost JUST able to float out of my skin and HAVING skin is the only thing keeping me from levitating up into the sky, it’s wonderful. usually you get a crash after taking it where you get depressed apparently but i didn’t ever get like that the times i did it. also, mdma would make me hallucinate a little… don’t know why! they were mostly all visual and almost always the same one, i would start seeing little kalaidescopes everywhere and the colors were always green to purple to red and all these made-up colors in between…. and this would happen if i tried to focus on one thing for more than 5 seconds… for a while afterwards those little hallucinations would come back, at first with the same like NICE GOOD FEELS and later it’d just be the hallucinations themselves… usually triggered by coming cuz both times i tried mdma i ended up having sex on it SO YEAH… DEF RECOMMEND, DRINK LOTS OF WATER

shrooms.. are… i have a tag dedicated to the experience lmfao. i’ve had it 3 times, and it was always after eating an edible at some point beforehand. i have a friend who had a rly bad trip once and another who, after doing acid (and having a fine trip), ended up getting triggered into a psychotic break, so i was worried about freaking out and i found that just getting a little stoned beforehand keeps me relaxed the whole time but also made the high stronger… it’s just amazing. incredibly spiritual, a LOT more physical than i thought it would be. it’s… all-encompassing. my friend and i, after we did it together, explained it like…you TRY and explain it but it’s something you only rly have words for it while you’re on it, and you just lose the ability to fully, accurately comprehend it when you return. like, at times i felt like i WAS god, at time i felt like i was being hurtled through universes, at times i felt the LITERAL FABRIC OF REALITIES like i could SEE THEM and i could dip my fingers through them and i could see the strings of time and fucking touch them and it’s so powerful and visceral and REAL… it’s honestly insane. i described it AS going insane, like at points i just… would see the state in my mind labeled ‘sanity’ and i phased through it and went beyond. you become so… wise???? you suddenly have access to languages and colors and senses that never and always existed??? but i also can’t stress just how STUPID you get. conversations would go from describing the secrets of life and death and the universe to thinking you turned into a chipmunk.. my friend nearly fucked his guitar and, tbh, i almost did to,,,. sometimes i couldn’t stop moving and other times i would just be laying on the floor completely stil before SUDDENLY JOLTING UP AND SCREAMING cuz my soul had floated out of my body, danced through a star and suddenly CRASHED back into my flesh vessel. the longest trip was 4 hours… all my hallucinations that i had were visual or tactile, the visual ones were very innocent and subtle… like, one trip, everything would get fuzzy in a way where it looks like someone had painted the world with smears of watercolors.. but my friend, who took WAY stronger shrooms (THE strongest, while i took the weakest) would literally SEE ducks and cubes and shit morphing in front of him… EVERYTHING is weird, like all your senses switch places with each other and suddenly you can touch with your eyes and taste sounds and music got RLY scary and i wish i got to see what sex on shrooms is like but.. alas…

LSA is something a lot of ppl have never heard of, so let me explain it!! morning glory is a type of flower… the seeds contain something called LSA which is PRETTY MUCH a natural form of acid… so, if you eat enough of the seeds it will make you trip!!! it was the first drug i ever took (even before drinking and smoking)… it lasted a long LONG time, like 16 hours straight. i would see rainbows like emenating from every tree and also i rolled pantless on my carpet for like half of those hours cuz the sense of touch was so NIIICE it just made everything feel so nice and warm, i would get a lot of ripples of sensation and i was HYPERaware of my insides which felt gross and made eating impossible but it was a great experience, especially if it’s your first time trying drugs +o+ warning it does make a lot of people nauseous tho, i was fine but if anyone tries it, make sure to wash it RLY well because these are quite literally flower seeds so they are covered in pesticides..

adderall i’m putting here cuz it’s something i use recreationally, i’ve never had it prescribed but i love it SO much. mostly i just use it to keep me grounded… sometimes pot makes me rly paranoid and anxious (and i don’t even have an anxiety disorder so i have absolutely NO basis or idea how to cope with it so i freak out twice as much) and i’m just very uncomfortable with being… ‘chill’? it makes me feel nonfunctional haha so i usually take adderall with it to be able to function again. when i take a shitload it can make me very jittery tho, like… cranked up with caffiene jitters… the FIRST TIME i tried adderall was the best time because, god, the FOCUS of adderall combined with the impulsiveness of being drunk holy FUCK. SO fun. it’s just a nice thing to keep you composed when you’re doing a lot of party drugs, especially once you get used to it and know how to monitor it well. it’ll keep you tethered to a certain level while also making that level stronger… LOTS of bad effects with it though so this rly is one to be careful of but it’s so useful goddamn

AND YEAH THAT’S IT SO FAR…. like literally so many of my friends are into trying shit (actors, man..) so who knows what i’ll have to add to this list by next year jnlggs
