Major gift giver!! It’s his love language and he certainly has the money to do so. If he sees something that reminds him of you, he’ll buy it for you. If he thinks you’ll like it, he buys it for you. If he thinks it’s a cool thing, he’ll buy it to show you
Sooo touchy. He’s clingy and cuddly. He always has his hands on you. Holding yours, snaked around your waist, hip, around your neck, on your thigh, it doesn’t matter. He needs to hold you. When he gets home from particularly draining missions, he just wants to wrap his arms around you and sleep
Speaking of sleep, he’s really sleepy. And snores loud as fuck, almost monstrously so. That’s only for day naps, at night, he won’t let himself sleep before you are asleep
He sometimes has bad dreams, dreams where something happens to you and will wake up and pull you closer. He’s gentle enough to not wake you up but holding you is a comfort to him
Loves to take you shopping and play dress up with you. He will pick out clothes with you then send you to the changing room, and have you walk out real quick to show him how you look
He loves showering together, and he loves washing your hair for you and vice versa
You play games together, and he rages. Y’all definitely have some shared concels for playing things together, and he will throw a fit when he loses
He likes helping you cook. He will get things out for you, cut veggies and wash the dishes while you run the kitchen
But sometimes he cooks for you, doing it all in an apron that says “kiss the chef” or something cheesy
Buys you the most expensive jewelry, and urges you to wear it anytime you go out
Hugs from behind!! Lots of sneaky teasing touches. Pinches you playfully. Slaps ur ass then runs knowing your about to turn around and get his 10x harder
He acts like he’s smaller than he is. Will definitely ask to be little spoon, but you end up wrapping around him like a backpack. Sits on YOUR lap, etc
Always wants a kiss. Never let’s you leave the house without a kiss, and vise versa
He will pose for you. Pose for you to draw him, pose for pics, etc
Let’s you practice hair, nails, makeup, and anything else traditionally feminine on him. He thinks he looks fabulous
Will attempt to take bites of your food when you aren’t looking
Nanami
Such a gentlemen. He will chauffeur you everywhere, open your door for you, carry you when your feet hurt, pay for 100% of all dates, treats you like a princess
Speaking of princess treatment, he makes you breakfast in bed “just because”
Definition of a male wife. He does all the cleaning and helps with the cooking, always has the bed made and the house tidy by the time you get home
Brushes and does your hair for you, learned how to specifically for you
Such a romantic. I’m talking candle lit dinners, rose petals adorning the bedroom, bubble baths and more
Surprisingly super shy in public. You have to break him out of his shell a little bit
He secretly wears women’s perfume when he can. He thinks it smells so much nicer than cologne
Puts your needs first down to the most minimal details. Not making you sit next to strangers on trains, letting you get the entire hotel bed to yourself, letting you shower first with the hot water, etc
He takes any and all of your injuries seriously. Even a small paper cut he will have you wash and put a bandage on it to prevent infection
He also doesn’t take any risks. He makes sure anytime you guys are outside for an extended period of time that your wearing sunscreen. When you guys are in grass, he’s making sure you have on some kind of bug spray on your ankles
Brews coffee everymorning like clockwork for the both of you. He likes it black but bought a ton of stuff for you, so he makes your coffee Starbucks style the way you like it with cream and stuff
Watches you sleep, not in a creepy way. More in like your so beautiful he can’t keep his eyes off way
He’s super into yoga, will go to yoga classes with you. He’s so stiff he needs it
He reads a lot of books, and will geek out about them to you
Frequently accidently sleeps with his glasses on, you’ll wake up beside him and he will just. Have them on. And when he gets up in the morning to take them off he has red marks around his eyes
Nsfw
Gojo
Such a fucking tease. He LOVES to get you worked up before giving you what you want
Edging and overstim both ways. He loves to get you so close to that edge, then pull out and make you whine or beg for it. He also really enjoys making yoy cum over and over until your crying and pleading with him to stop. As for himself, his main motive for edging himself is to help him last longer. Lord knows he can’t stand more than 10 minutes inside you without cumming. He also loves it when you milk him for all he’s worth, ridding him into tears
Absolutely into sensory deprivation. He gets a kick out of either you, not being able to know his next move keeping you in the dark, or him, being at your mercy
Speaking of sensory stuff, he fucking loves it when you wear his blindfold. Blocking your vision, you can only feel his touches and not see them
He cums so much, everywhere all the time. His favorite place to cum has to be all over your face. Have you sucking him off, but before he cums he pulls out and jerks it a few times before painting your face with his seed. It’s so hot to him, seeing you covered in it
He might even take a picture if you let him. He’s really into picture/video taking, just to have for himself. Whenever your not there, he can pull out his file of lewd photos and videos of you two
He is soooo vocal. He’s loud and his moans are whiny. He doesn’t hold back though, he has no shame. Matter of fact he wants everyone to know what you do to him
Speaking of, he’s a bit of a risk taker. He’s not past sneaking into a changing room for you to help him with the boner he got looking at you in those clothes
While he may cum fast, he can still last several rounds without break. He is the strongest, after all
Loves oral giving and receiving because it’s so messy. He loves it when your drooling all over his cock, or when his chin is covered in your slick
He’s a switch, but when he’s on bottom he’d moan if you step on his cock. Such a slutty submissive, and a brat too. He’d do things to get you angry so you punish him for it later <3
Definitely has considered 3somes with geto, but never brought it up
I can see him being into roleplay
He’s not insanely girthy, but he is LONGG and pretty. Has a cute curve at the end that’s perfect for you
He loves fucking your tits
His fingers are slim and long, and when he fingers you he will make you see stars
Thinks it’s so hot when he gets you to squirt
Somno with consent
If you need to be clean right that moment he will do so, but aftercare with him usually he prefers to cuddle up and sleep then clean up in the morning
Nanami
Such a service dom. He’s a provider, and that nature sticks in the bedroom. He lives to please you, and will make you cum several times before even freeing his cock from his tight pants
He would definitely dabble in bdsm. Specifically, what he enjoys is bondage and brat taming
With bondage, he has it all. It may be a small fluffy pair of handcuffs binding your wrists behind your back, two a sturdy rope tying your ankles and wrists to the corner of the bed, to full on shibari, ropes all over your body
Absolutely uses his tie and/or belt to bind you
Brat taming was something you insisted, and when he tried it he found out he got a kick out of it too. It started with you teasing him all day, and when you begged him to be rough with you and put you in your place who is he to deny you?
Both kinks are done with upmost gentleness and care. Of course. He may also engage in light impact play, small spanks on your ass and even your clit. Nothing enough to hurt, just a little love tap to startle you
His hands drive you insane. His hands are so big, they wrap perfectly around your wrists, neck, hips, waist, etc. they also reach all the parts inside you just the way you like
While he often takes the leading role, he’s not opposed to letting you ride him to get yourself off when he doesn’t have the energy
He’s not very loud, mostly grunts and quite muffled moans come from him
So much praise. He’s constantly reassuring you through the whole ordeal, calling you beautiful, gorgeous, how well your doing, how good you are for him, etc
He would degrade you if you really wanted. Again, you’d have to tell him because he wouldn’t ever say such things to you but when your begging him to say mean things to you, he’s nothing but a pleaser
Cockwarming is a big turn on. He’s a busy man, so when he has work to do but you wanna get off, he will let you sit on his cock
Similarly, he also likes watching you ride his thigh. Your wet pussy grinding up and down on his clothed leg does something to him
Aftercare god. As soon as you guys are done he’s running a bath, carrying you to it, washing you off as you just lay back. After he drys you off, he’s carrying you back to the bed and wrapping you with his arms

octaninelle pirate au/seven seas au!
so the idea for these guys is that their ship is one of those on water restaurants, like the baratie from one piece if u know what im talking about. Also the lil shell bit in the ship that i sketched up is where azul's office, i might tweak the ship design but it works for now.
azul - he was the easiest to design since it was heavily based off of his masquerade outfit and i gave him ursula's earrings. in his merform he's probably something like the kraken and he talks about the ship like how people talk about their cars, the ones that like talk about it like it's their child.
also i haven't been able to get that drabble abt idia and azul meeting in a pub and playing cards together. they probably meet in the mostro lounge instead of a random pub and play some magical card fusion of hearthstone + that tcg game from genshin.
jade - he's got a lil mushroom pin and also he's wearing pants that look like a skirt. i gave him a jellyfish haircut and pulled it into the ponytail because a lil voice whispered in my ear and it only felt right. every couple of weeks jade will grow mushrooms in some part of the boat and then azul or floyd will find it and get rid of them, then there's mushroom dishes on the menu for like months.
floyd - personally to me he looks a lil outta place since he's dressed less formally than jade or azul but that's fine. he does have a suit like how jade and azul has one but it's a battle to get him to actually wear it (+ when he does wear it, tends to put him in a nasty mood for a bit). i kept his clothes loose cuz of that and gave him a bunch of shiny jewelry also he has those fidget rings that have the spinny middle part.
i can see him working in the bar rather than taking orders or serving food and floyd probably brags about all his scars to his clients whenever he gets the chance (the scar on his face was from riddle, they had a lovers spat </3)

I wrote another thing so why not post it here too. This is cross posted on Ao3(You're Married?)
Paring: Gilles "Montagne" Touré x Fem!Reader
Warnings: NONE. SFW!!!!!!
“You’re married?”
A surprised look plastered on everyone's face at the table. They were frozen, eyes watching the large French man as they waited for an answer. He thought it was a given, The ring was always there. His eyes glance down to his gloveless left hand, expecting to see the shiny wedding band. It was bare, most likely left in that shell dish you kept your own in. He doesn’t wear it for his morning workout and it must have just slipped his mind. He’d hate to lose the sentimental jewelry, so he doesn’t wear it often.
“I thought everyone knew.”
He was trying to not show his own surprise. He’s spoken about you multiple times, but now that he recalls it. He’s only ever brought you up to Doc and a few other workers, but never his teammates. He heard another person into the room, taking a seat at the table after greeting everyone.
“Olivier! Did you know Gilles’ married?”
He looked over at Olivier, an evil looking smirk on his face.
“Yeah, she’s not a big fan of me.”
They were less shocked with this new finding, knowing a lot of the Ops didn’t get along with Olivier. Still though, Olivier and Gilles are close, like going out drinking close. They kinda thought you’d get along with him.
“What do you mean?”
They were now pestering Olivier for answers about you, and you not even his wife. Now Olivier is going to tell them everything he knows about you. How does he explain that the very women they’re all surprised about existing works in the same building as them. Your own feet carrying you down the same halls they walk, that you’ve even read their files and practically know everything about them.
“She’s seen my history, not a huge fan of it.”
“She works here!!”
There was their surprise again. Gilles leans back in his chair, thumb rubbing over the bare spot on his ring finger. He’s interested now, watching how everyone is finally finding out about you. He’s smiling, eyes darting between the group as they speak.
“Yeah, I don’t think I’m allowed to say where. She’s here though, probably walking around right now.”
Gilles knows where you are, you’re on your way to lunch. Probably wrapped up in a thick coat as you make your way out to your car. You like going to get food and then send him a text to come have lunch with you. What he doesn’t know is that you’re not walking out to your car, your three turns down the hall from the meeting room he’s in. You're upset, he hasn’t answered your text, his food is now cold, and the most important thing, he’s not wearing his wedding ring. His eyes land back on the man in yellow, quickly and swiftly answering those random ‘how’d you know but we didn’t’ questions, he’s avoiding the real meaningful ones. The ones he knows Gilles should be answering.
“Gilles. What does she do? I mean, she’s gotta be pretty good to be working for Rainbow.”
He smiled slightly, attempting to hide how excited he was to talk about his wonderful and lovely Wife. He moves his legs, fixing the way he’s sitting as he thinks about what to say. Did he want to fuck with his teammates, to tell the truth. He decided it could be good to mess around with them, but he couldn’t think of anything that was good enough. He also was taught not to lie.
“She’s just an office worker for GhostEyes.”
He’s not wrong, but he is also severely down playing what you do. He’s hoping they don’t ask about how you read Oliviers files, he’s just hoping that maybe it’ll be enough to satisfy their curiosity. It does, they don’t seem to ask too many questions about your work. Instead they ask about your looks and trying to see if they’ve ran into you before. He answers their questions carefully, picking his words purposefully.
“Oh, so she’s,”
The person is cut off. You round the corner with a bag in your hand before freezing. Looking at all the people who stared back at you. Gilles notices everyone looking behind him, quietly observing the person standing there. He turns around, arms over the back of the chair as he makes eye contact with you. A smile on his face as goes to greet you, your voice swiftly cutting him off.
“I don’t wanna hear it, Gilles.”
Your eyes looking at the other people around him, trying to find someone who you could recognize. You only knew Olivier and that made you roll your eyes. You looked back at your husband, watching as his mouth opened and closed trying to find something. You gave him an angry look, cocking your head forward and to the side. You were waiting for him to say something, especially since he can tell you are upset. He stood up, looking at the group of people.
“Everyone, this is my wife, (Y/N).”
He walked over to you, his hand resting on your lower back. He watched as you gave everyone a small wave. You didn’t wanna be rude, but you were absolutely upset with the large man next to you. It only made your blood boil more when you saw the shit eating grin on Oliviers face, he’s done nothing but sat there and it was annoying. You smiled as sweetly as you could, before pushing the bag into his chest and turning and walking away. A small ‘ooh’ coming from Olivier as he watched. Gilles gave him a pointed glare before following after you.
“Duodou, wait.”
His voice is soft, a hand reaching out to grab at your arm. You stopped, spinning around at him causing him to abruptly stop.
“Do you even know what time it is?”
  You paused, not even giving him a chance to speak.
“Far past lunch. I sent you two whole texts AND a call, Gilles!”
You don’t even know why this was upsetting you, but it was. It took to rooting deep in your bones and it was getting to you. Him not answering the text wasn’t even what truth got to you. It was the simple fact that he wasn’t wearing his ring, but then again you can’t even fully be mad at him for that either. He sighed, putting a hand into a pocket to fish out his phone but it wasn’t there, he checked his other pockets but it wasn’t there either. He looked up at you, watching as you stared him down waiting for an answer.
“Chérie, I do believe, I don’t have my phone.”
He almost let out a little nervous laugh, trying his hardest to not let your angry face get to him. You gave out a huff. He doesn’t even know, is all you say to yourself.
“I can make it up to you.”
You’re now trying to talk yourself down from being angry at him, his almost disappointed sigh broke you. You moved closer to him, wrapping your arms around his waist. Your head laying on his chest, his arms wrapping around your shoulders.
“You wanna do it now?”
He hummed in response. Pulling back a bit as he watched you reach into your coat pocket and pulling out a colored snack size ziplock bag. Opening it and presenting the item to him with a bright smile.
“You can wear this again and all the time, actually.”
He laughs, fingers coming to pluck the ring from your hands. You watch as he slips it onto his finger. Your hands grab at his large hands and smile at the jewelry.
“Is it this simple to make you not angry at me?”
You hummed nodding as you looked up at him. You smiled, almost feeling bad for how you felt earlier. Your thumbs rubbing of his knuckles as you thought of what to say next.
“I was just overreacting, I’m sorry.”
His free hand going under your chin and pushing your head up to look at him. That same smile you fell in love with placed oh so perfectly on his face.
“You were not overreacting, Duodou.”
He bent down to kiss you, he planned on giving you a small little peck, but that didn’t happen. One peck turned into a kiss and then another. Not stopping until you heard someone clearing their throat. Your eyes looked over to see Olivier, what a mood dampener.
“They're looking for you two.”
You shook your eyes, giving Gilles a soft oh well smile before interlocking your hands together.
“Don’t worry. We’re coming back.”

Sea shells and witchcraft
Tumblr media
Photo
Seashells are a very special magical material - a beautiful gift from the Earth and the Sea. Seashells are found in the secret space between these two realms, only revealed when the tides change.  They are treasures of an invisible world.
Whether plain brown or white, or cascading in a rainbow of colors, each seashell brings a message to whoever is lucky enough to find it.
What are seashells?  They are the tough, protective exoskeletons of marine molluscs.  Soft-bodied invertebrates create their own shells from minerals in their bodies and from the sea. Each creature makes a shell that will be its home for life.  For this reason, seashells can be seen as symbols of independence, loneliness, and self-reliance.
Not only are they essential to marine life, but seashells rival anything man-made in beauty, strength, and mathematical precision.  (The outward curve of a Nautilus shell follows the famous Fibonacci sequence.) The shapes and patterns are not random, they have been passed down to
countless generations.  It is difficult to contemplate a seashell without being impressed by the power of ancestral memory and divine creativity.
Seashell Matches
Every child knows that if you hold a seashell to your ear, you can hear the ocean.  Naturally, shells are often used on the pagan altar to represent the Water element.  Seashells also correspond to Venus (the planet and deity) and the Moon, which gently throws them to shore with each tidal cycle.
For millennia, seashells have been the symbol of feminine beauty.  Their pinkish-white colors are reminiscent of the blush of a fair complexion, and some shells resemble women's breasts or vulva.  When Botticelli painted the goddess of love floating on a raft of seashells, he cemented centuries-old correspondence into an indelible image.
Cups, mirrors and combs are often made with shells (or shaped) in keeping with the Venusian look of shells.  The use of shells in necklaces dates back to the Stone Age, although we have no way of knowing whether these shell artifacts were used for male or female adornment.
But seashells aren't just about beauty.  Seashells are also linked to prosperity and abundance.  They have long been an important religious symbol for coastal dwellers who feed on the sea. Seashells have also been used as currency by many cultures around the world.  There are probably billions of seashells in the ocean, but it's always special and lucky to find a perfect seashell laying in the sand.
Despite their family resemblance, different types of seashells have different properties in magic.  Generally speaking, seashells symbolize mystery, divinity, love, and prosperity, but each type has its own nuances.
Magic shells
The natural cup shape of many seashells makes them perfect for holding objects!  Seashells make perfect small dishes for incense, sand, crystals and herbs.  Cleaned shells can also contain food or drink for rituals.
Abalone shells are a very popular choice for sage fumigation.
The shell serves either to catch the ashes or to hold the burning herbs.  (Some people think the latter use is inappropriate - that it is disrespectful to place fire in a container of water.) If you are burning herbs or incense in a shell, put a thin layer of sand on the bottom  to help distribute the heat and avoid burning the shell.
The shell is sometimes cut into thin slices and used to decorate pendants, bowls, or just about any flat or curved surface.  A shell-covered box or mirror could be a beautiful tool for a water witch's altar.  Small shells or shell tiles can be incorporated into the handle of a wand or ritual knife.
Of course, the most popular way to use seashells is in their natural, unmodified form.  Large shells can be placed on your altar or used to decorate the interior and exterior.  Smaller seashells make beautiful jewelry.  (Some even have natural holes for threading!) You can add seashells to magical wind chimes, mojo bags, or incorporate them into charms and amulets.
Find your own seashells
It's a fact: Seashells you collect yourself are nicer than the fanciest purchases in the store.  If you're lucky enough to live near a beach, find out what types of seashells are available on your local shores.  Or go at the first low tide and see what you see!
If you are purchasing shells, please purchase from responsible sources.  Small, common seashells are the best bet.  The bigger and shinier the shell, the more likely it is to come from a slow-growing or over-hunted animal.  The illegal export of rare shells is big business that funds environmental plunder, organized crime and labor exploitation.
Certain types of sea life have been making seashells in more or less the same designs for millions of years.  Seashell shapes are timeless and sacred.  They were here before humans and will probably outlive us.  Here are some of the most common seashell shapes and their magical lore:
Abalone
Tumblr media
Photo
The Abalone shell incorporates all the colors of the sea and sky. The inside of the shell is coated with nacre, the same substance in pearls and mother-of-pearl.
Abalone has been an important food source for tens of thousands of years. The shells represent the giving power of the Mother Ocean. The iridescent hue promotes feeling of abundance, peace, and compassion.
Abalone shells have an especially sacred meaning in Native American and Polynesian religion. Most people are familiar with Abalone as a vessel for Sage smudging, a Native American spiritual practice.
The vibrant color and natural luster of Abalone shell makes it ideal for jewelry and ornamental objects. Wearing an amulet of Abalone is said to impart a calming, spiritual vibration and to help the wearer work through emotional issues.
Scallop
Tumblr media
Photo
The Scallop is perhaps the most familiar seashell shape. It has a sacred meaning in Christian Europe, dating back to the earliest pilgrims—many of whom would have been illiterate—who were guided to pilgrimage sites by the Scallop emblem. The Scallop is an emblem of Saint James the Apostle. It may be adopted as a badge by anyone who has undergone a spiritual quest. Scallop shapes may be discerned in countless Christian altars and cathedrals.
Art nerds will recognize the Scallop as the seat or carriage of many an ocean deity. Poseidon is depicted riding upon one, and Aphrodite floats to shore in a Scallop shell. The Scallop appears on Pagan altars as a symbol of the sea goddess and the element of Water. Use a Scallop shell as a chalice, offering bowl, or vessel for love magick. (The large and colorful variety found in magick shops is a warm-water species called Lion's Paw or Mexican Sea Scallop.)
The Scallop is distinguished from other shells by the multiple rays and ridges, converging on a single point near the base. To medieval Christians, this represented the varied paths of travelers on their way to a holy site.  To earlier humans, the Scallop’s rays may have resembled the Sun’s beams converging on the horizon at sunrise or sunset. This makes the Scallop an especially fitting symbol of Venus, who is called the Morning Star or Evening Star.
Nautilus
Tumblr media
Photo
The Nautilus is the nomad of the sea, traveling hundreds of miles on currents (and a raft of bubbles). The name means “sailor” in Greek. The Nautilus shell is an important symbol in sacred geometry and even mathematics—displaying a logarithmic spiral in its growth pattern.
Unlike some other shell creatures, the Nautilus does not shed or exchange its shell, but creates a large chamber for its body as it grows. The Nautilus shell is thus a symbol of growth and renewal. The outward spiral shape of the Nautilus suggests that it can keep growing indefinitely.
The Nautilus is one of the few sea creatures to have survived since the time of the dinosaurs. It is one of Nature’s true masterpieces. Meditate on a Nautilus shell, or use it in your magick of spiritual growth and expansion.
Auger
Tumblr media
Photo
The Auger shell is an elongated spiral, with an opening at the base and a point at the tip. In the language of shells, the Auger is both masculine and feminine, representing completeness. There are hundreds of varieties worldwide.
Auger shells come from a type of predatory sea snail, and the aggression of the animal is implied by its narrowly focused shape. Augers possess a venomous tooth that is the terror of marine worms. In magick, Augers are one of the only shells that may be properly attributed to Mars. Augers are popular for headdresses, magick wands, and protective charms.
Cowrie
Tumblr media
Photo
The familiar Cowrie shell is yellow or white and egg-shaped, with two rows of teeth along a central gap. Cowrie shells have appeared as currency, decoration, and religious items in nearly every part of the world.
Owing to its shape, the Cowrie often represents the life-giving vulva. It is used in charms for wealth and fertility. Cowrie shells are strung onto necklaces or sewn into garments. Additionally, the shells may be used for divination. There are several distinct systems of Cowrie divination stemming from African and Afro-Carribean occult traditions.
Cowrie shells are admired for their fine natural polish. Their glossiness symbolizes refinement and luxury. The Italian word for Cowrie is porcellana (“little pig”)—from which we derive the word porcelain.
Starfish
Tumblr media
Photo
Not technically a seashell, Starfish are nonetheless available at many a beach seller’s stall. The Starfish is a spiny sea creature whose dried body forms the shape of a star. They are symbols of heavenly power, renewal, and good luck.
Because of their resemblance to the heavenly stars, the Starfish has an affinity with various sky Gods and Goddesses. How amazing to uncover a star within the depths of the seas! (As that old thrice-great Egyptian guy says, “As above, so below.”) As a (usually) five-pointed creature, Starfish are also linked to the Pentagram and the number 5, the number of Man. No wonder the Starfish speaks to the mystic's heart.
Biologists will tell you that Starfish are exquisitely sensitive animals. Its nervous system radiates from the center and extends through each limb, allowing it to explore the ocean floor with grace and ease. Starfish are symbols of instinct and intuition. As a totem or amulet, Starfish reminds a sensitive person to adapt and thrive within their surroundings.
Starfish possess the superpower of being able to regrow a missing limb. Use them in charms for strength and recovery from trauma.
Shells can teach us many things and can be used as tools to help you meditate, manifest, and create magic in your life.
Whether you already have a vast collection of seashells or plan on starting one next time you're near the sea, keep these magical uses for shells in mind.

Suptober 9 Oct.: Vintage
"I'm Dean," the customer said, holding out his hand.
deancas, alternate everything + actual baby Jack
Castiel brought the sleeping newborn inside and locked the door behind them. For the first time, as he looked around the small shop he'd filled with antique trinkets and do-dads, oddities and cozinesses, he staggered beneath his own fear, the hollowed out space behind his ribcage that seemed to echo with every footstep. He'd expected to be a godfather, which was incongruous enough a path for an angel who would be denied any entry to heaven; to be someone's father was an entirely different obligation.
The coroner would call in the morning about arrangements for the baby's mother, his dear friend Kelly, who would never hold her son again. It almost brought him to his knees, this grief: a weight of exactly six pounds and nine ounces as of that morning, according to the nurse. The child himself, nestled in his blanket inside the car seat, made no sound and dreamed of realms as far beyond Castiel's reach as Kelly herself was now.
A knock on the window startled Castiel.
"Are you open?" a somewhat frantic looking man asked through the glass.
Castiel opened the door and couldn't bring himself to speak.
His customer was handsome and tall, dressed like he owned a chainsaw collection. Did Castiel have any mourning jewelry for sale, he wanted to know. Castiel did. Within fifteen minutes, the man had set the locket on fire in the shop's kitchenette sink; the ghost of a long deceased local woman named Lois, murderous in death as in life, evaporated in flame over by a shelf filled with porcelain rabbits.
"I'm Dean," the customer said, holding out his hand.
Castiel shook it. He hadn't met a hunter in decades; it must have been nothing short of misplaced providence that he was meeting this one today of all days. Dean swept up the ashes, cleaned the sink with Bon Ami powder, and exchanged phone numbers with Castiel. He sent his first text before nine o'clock and his seventh by ten.
Somewhere around the fourth, he shortened Castiel to Cas.
Staring down at the phone screen and the series of smiley faces Dean had sent, Cas felt something in his chest unspool. His texting abilities improved rapidly.
That evening, the baby gazed at Cas in bleary wonder during the bottle feeding. Cas gazed back, equally awed.
-
Four months later
Some Sundays, Cas wished he was open for business. He knew he deserved at least a one and a half day weekend, despite being an angel who didn't need much sleep. The Saturday shift was always busy, which meant most Sundays, customer derived mental exhaustion kept him gratefully upstairs from the shop. Jack remained the most easy-going baby Cas could've imagined – if, at the end of May, he'd imagined himself raising him – and keeping up with him was still manageable. It wouldn't always be, and Sundays off would be more and more important in the coming years.
Today, though, October could not have been more dazzling: endless blue sky sat atop a light breeze that sent crimson and ochre leaves fluttering from canopy to earth. Lots of foot traffic down on the town's little Main Street. Cas could just sneak downstairs and unlock the door, prop it open and let the crisp air seep into the store's bones a bit. See who showed up looking for musty crazy quilts or Depression-glass butter dishes or a ceramic pumpkin that ate votive candles.
Jack yawned, showing all his gums.
"Oh, big yawn," Cas felt compelled, as always, to tell him.
Jack sleepily huffed one of his baby huffs and his miniscule hands curled like snail shells as he fell asleep again in the crook of Cas's arm. Watching him, Cas's eyes grew heavy and thoughts of opening the store floated away.
A knock on the back door, alley side, roused him from the risk of coma. He laid Jack down in his basket on the couch and took the stairs carefully, cognizant of not wanting to slip and crash in sock feet.
His pulse jumped as he saw who was waiting.
"Hello, Dean," he said, pulling the door open. He knew his expression went from happy to horrified in an instant.
"Hey, Cas." Dean stepped in and stopped at the stair landing. "Didn't mean to bother you on your day off."
Cas kept from touching him with monumental effort. Dean's right eye was ringed in periwinkle and mauve. His lip was cut, if healing. Cas looked down and saw where Dean's knuckles had split, where the skin of his wrists had been lashed and torn.
"I should see the other guy, right?" Cas asked, and almost wept when Dean flinched a dry chuckle.
"I'd have texted, but my phone has been reduced to the molecular level." Dean tried to smile. "I don't feel as bad as I look, honest."
Cas decided tact was for other occasions. "I'm not sure that's possible." He herded Dean up the stairs to the second floor apartment.
Dean let his big duffle bag drop into the rocking chair seat and went over to peer in the basket. Cas saw one of Jack's hands flailing in some wee imitation of a greeting wave.
"Hi, kid," Dean told him, looking like he was about to faint from fatigue.
"Dean," Cas said, treading with a careful tone, "is Sam all right?"
Dean nodded. "Yeah, he's gone to Amelia's." He quirked up an eyebrow. "Whether that will benefit him in any measurable way remains to be seen."
"What happened?" Cas sat on the couch and Dean sat on the ottoman, bouncing his heel lightly.
His jeans were ripped to the side of the knee; dried blood stained the tear. "Vampire nest."
Just another day at the office – or spooky forest, or haunted toolshed, or desecrated cemetery –  for hunters.
Cas made an executive decision; or, rather, decided to follow through on the second part of one he'd made a week ago.
"Come see," he said, standing and tapping Dean's shoulder as he passed. He turned on the lamp just inside the guest bedroom. Golden light showed the bed, the dresser, the desk, all tidy and dusted. He'd washed the sheets and mopped the wood plank floor. He'd emptied three shelves of the bookcase by the window, leaving only a selection of his favorite paperbacks. "It's yours, if you'd like to stay. For whenever you'd like to stay." He held his breath.
Dean stood at the threshold, face stricken. "Cas, I can't impose–"
"You're not a burden." Cas exhaled slowly. "You're always welcome. Why else did you show up?"
"I didn't think…" Dean crept into the room, ran his palm over the cotton blanket Cas had folded at the end of the bed. "I just wanted to see you, is all," he confessed to the rag rug.
"Well, it's mutual," Cas said, throat aching.
In the living room, Jack pronounced a loud and cheerful string of babbles.
Dean shook his head at Cas as though in disbelief, a helpless laugh pulling at his mouth and his eyes a bit shiny.
"I agree with Jack." Cas smiled softly in return. "Welcome home."

happy birthday (i still miss you)
“Hello, Childe,” Zhongli greeted.
Zhongli sits at a table at Wanmin Restaurant. A familiar ginger waves and sits beside him.
“Xiangling!” Childe waves the young woman over. “Can we get one Prize Ca-”
“I refuse.”
“Xiansheng!”
“No.”
“It’s a good dish!”
“It is not to my liking, Childe. That is all I will disclose to you.”
“I persona-”
“Excuse me,” Xiangling interrupts. “But would it be okay if I simply gave you two orders of Jewelry Soup and worked out the other orders later?”
Childe opened his mouth to speak but Zhongli beat him to the punch.
“Certainly, but I would additionally like two servings of Black-Back Perch Stew, one plate of Crystal Shrimp, anoth…”
Childe smiled brightly. Zhongli may have had a tendency to spend his mora quite liberally, but it was a pleasure to hear him talk, with his smooth, velvety voice.
“Mister Childe? Mister Chiiiiillll-Oh he’s back!” Xiangling stopped waving her hands over Childe’s eyes.
“Ah, yes! I’ll pay, as per usual,” Childe automatically replied cheerfully.
“That, um, wasn’t my question?” Xiangling replies. “What I asked, was ‘would you like to try the special today?’”
Oh, that’s what she was saying.
“Yes, of course,” Childe says hurriedly, shooing the teen and her tiny bear away to report the orders.
A soft, baritone chuckle sounds from Zhongli’s side of the table. Childe huffs in embarrassment.
~~~
“Hello, Ajax,” Zhongli murmurs.
He is standing by the sea. Several starconches can be seen in his hands.
There is no one next to or near him.
“Mister Zhongli? What kind of flower-Oh.” Hu Tao peeked her head through the doorway.
The man in question stared blankly at the wall, a recently read letter laying limply in his lap.
“Did something happen?”
He does not respond.
“Are you okay?”
He does not respond, still staring blankly at the tapestry-covered wall.
Shaking him lightly and looking into his eyes, Hu Tao asks one more question to her father figure.
“Did something happen to Mister Childe?”
Zhongli suddenly embraces Hu Tao tightly, eyes tearing up.
“Childe’s body has been found.” he chokes out into her shoulder.
Zhongli stares into the wild waves. Various shades of blue mix together, and for a second, he can see Childe’s deep blue eyes again.
“It’s been a while, old friend,” he begins. “Today would’ve been your twenty-sixth birthday. You should’ve been celebrating today with your family.”
He monologues for a bit, pretending Childe can hear him. He talks about his day, things he’s noticed that remind him of good times gone past, and mundane things like an exquisite wooden hand-carved mirror depicting Jueyun Karst.
Eventually, he leaves all the starconches to be washed away by the sea. Except one. He keeps it and turns the spiral blue shell round and round in his hand as he walks home.
It was a beautiful sunset, he thinks. A perfect way to end his beloved’s birthday.
Notes: this is like a year after childe passes away, so zhonglis memories are still somewhat fresh
and if you couldn’t tell, childe unalived of injuries and attempted to walk away. he passes out from his wounds and falls off a cliff into the ocean. about two weeks later, his body washes up on shore after being declared missing. the tsaritsa knows how important childe is to zhongli, so she sends the letter and allows wangsheng to do the funeral rites. plenty of people, including ningguang, arrive at the funeral, and wangsheng makes childe’s final wish come true; his ashes being poured into the ocean (slay).
@thenaluarchive Nalu Week 7-part story
In the town of Kailua Kona, a 40 minute drive from Lucy’s Waikoloa condo, it was a typical small city for the most part. Hills to the north, ocean to the south, coffee farms to the east, and open fields to the west. Supermarkets, shopping centers, restaurants, and more kept this tourist town’s natives supplied. But the actual “tourist” area really consisted of a single road called Ali’i (king) drive. This is where hotels and souvenir shops mixed with historical sites such as Hulihe’e Palace, then condos and beaches completed the rest of the journey. At the heart of Ali’i drive on any given day, one could find throngs of tourists walking along a mile stretch condensed with lots of shops and eateries. It was here that Lucy found a public parking lot and the friends headed out for the day.
The group stayed together as they went from store to store, and the girls warned the guys about holding off on buying anything yet.
“Why?” Gray questioned because he wanted to pick up souvenirs for his girlfriend back home.
“Trust us,” Levy simply replied. “You’ll realize why at the next store.”
And sure enough, Gray found the exact same shell necklace for cheaper at the next store. Moving along, the girls ducked into a crystals store to look at all the pretty gems. The boys, of course, were bored. To them it’s just colored rocks, big deal. So, while Lucy and Levy looked at the jewelry, Natsu and Gray stood just outside the door.
“Pfft, look at that,” Natsu pointed at a nearby table. “$20 for a lava rock!”
“Maybe we should pick up a handful and try to sell them too,” Gray suggested sarcastically. “Pay for our tuition.”
That brought on a laughing fit from Natsu, which didn’t end until the girls heard him and shooed them away from the store. At least they were having fun, but lunch time was coming up so the group headed further down past the tourists section to a small shopping center called Coconut Grove. Here, next to a sand volleyball pit was a two-story building, and upstairs was a restaurant called Fosters Kitchen.
Once the waiter arrived, Lucy first ordered the seafood puff pastry which she insisted was to die for! Next for the main dishes, Natsu chose a Cajun shrimp pasta, Levy a fresh fish burger, Gray a cheddar burger, and Lucy the blackened shrimp and grits.
“Wait, people in Hawaii actually eat grits?!” Gray laughed. “I thought it’s just a southern thing.”
“Hey, I like cheesy grits okay!” Lucy pouted and shrugged. “A friend from North Carolina turned me onto it!”
“Wow, dude,” Natsu chimed in with an annoyed tone, “no need to tease Lucy if she likes something different.”
Gray put his hands up in defense. “Calm down lover boy, I was just joking.”
“What?!” Both Natsu and Lucy stuttered out as their faces turned crimson. “He’s/she’s not…” they clammed up and dug into their meals to avoid any more teasing, which only enticed Gray and Levy to chuckle more.
After lunch, with belly’s full, the group started walking back to finish shopping. Gray wanted to find a few more souvenirs to take back to California, while Levy wanted to check out a place that sold chocolate covered Kona coffee beans. But since Lucy and Natsu were done shopping for the day, they agreed to all meet up on the stone wall that ran along Ali’i drive and bordered Kailua bay.
To keep cool while waiting, Lucy and Natsu grab a treat from One Aloha Shave Ice company.
“I’ve never tried something like this,” Natsu remarked as they sat down on the wall. “Flavored snow cones yeah, but they put toppings on these things here?! These lychee and mango toppings are awesome!”
“I like adding li hing mui powder when I want something salty and sour.” Lucy took a bite of her shave ice. “But today, just the classic rainbow.”
“Oh, yeah,” Natsu mumbled, with a mouth full of shave ice, “I learned that stuff goes good with tequila.”
“Omg,” Lucy playfully pushed on Natsu’s shoulder with a laugh, then instantly quieted down and looked away. Her body suddenly felt warmer and her cheeks flushed— but definitely not from a sunburn.
“Lucy?” Natsu questioned in a softened tone.
“Hmm,” she responded while pretending to focus on her shave ice.
But while looking down, Lucy’s hair kept blowing into her face. Natsu chuckled quietly and reached over, tucking the errant strands behind her ear. He wasn’t blind. He noticed the effect he was having on her. So, he gently grabbed her chin and turned her to face him.
“Natsu?” Her eyes communicated a feeling of concern and hope.
Caressing her cheek, “I’ve wanted to do this for awhile,” he spoke as he leaned in to place a lingering kiss upon her lips.
Lucy closed her eyes and melted into it with a sigh. She’d had a crush on Natsu for so long, but had never thought he actually felt that same way too! His lips felt amazing on hers…
When they pulled apart, Natsu continued caressing her cheek as they simply gazed into each other’s eyes. “You know,” he chuckled, “none of my flirting was working, so I had to just go for it, fingers crossed.”
That made Lucy laugh. “You’ve got my attention now.” She smiled, and initiated a second kiss.
A couple seconds later, Lucy and Natsu hear the sounds of clapping, and find their friends standing below the wall waiting for them.
“Congrats you guys!” Levy teased, “and Gray that means I won, you owe me $5.”
“Pfft,” Gray griped but gave it to her anyway.
“Won what?” Lucy asked in an annoyed tone.
“Who would make the move first.” Levy answered. “I said Natsu, so I won.”
“Oh my god! You guys are too much!”
Happy STS! A bit of a lighter question today! Let's pretend you're throwing a WIP-themed party. What sort of food would you serve? What would you put in the goody bags for your guests?
Happy Storyteller Saturday to you too! Thank you for the Ask, @writernopal! 💕
I never thought about something like this! It seems like such a cool thing to actually do though, lol.
If I were to throw a party inspired by my main WIP The Last Wrath - it would certainly be an incredible experience for me. Given that it is a dark/high medieval fantasy the decorations would be such a cool thing to do and have custom ordered so there is a whole aesthetic for the party! And of course, all the guests could dress as characters from the main cast, or even with clothes inspired by the fashion of the multiple kingdoms of Agrannor - it would be a cool "costume party", rather geeky, lol. It could also take inspiration from some of the best aspects of the actual Masquerades that happen in Agrannor!
As for the food, this is tricky, because most of the food in the story is made of fantasy ingredients lol (like, Vellamere is known for dishes made out of sea monsters like krakens and gigantic beasts). BUT... They would be very cool to adapt. So there would be richly flavored seafood dishes inspired by Vellamere's famous cuisine, exquisite fruit desserts for an Adrellios-inspired buffet, stews/soups/and all the kinds of warm food (as well as warm drinks - especially warm wine) for the Kestrall-inspired bits... Things like this!
For the goody bags, there would be custom-made knickknacks inspired by things that actually appear in the novel, such as earrings with a runic-amulet pattern, bracelets that look like armor braces, sea shell jewelry like the ones Nadinne wears, maybe even some fake daggers that have the Gilded Vipers' oath written on it.
It would certainly be a fun thing to plan and participate on!
Falathrim World Building Introduction (First Age Prior to the Isle of Balar)
(Noldor, Teleri, Vanyar, Sindar of Doriath)
I did some introductions to world building for the three main cultures of the Eldar in Valinor and the Sindar of Doriath and I want to write more for those but I also wanted to do the other kindreds so here’s part one for my Falathrim World Building
Here are some more general world building headcanons (architecture/homes, governance, etc) Please feel free to ask more!! I’d love to expand on food, environment, flora and fauna, etc
Please feel free to ask more!! General posts are hard because I didn’t have specific categories to cover so feel free to send categories! I also included some similarities and differences with the Teleri in Valinor
The Falathrim lived on the coasts of Western Beleriand where they were persuaded to stay by Ossë. They lived at the Havens of the Falas at the mouths of two rivers, Nenning and Brithon. There were two Havens, Brithombar and Eglarest, walled cities that lasted until the Fifth Battle where the surviving Falathrim moved West to the Isle of Balar
Círdan is considered an authority and leader despite never being officially appointed. The Falathrim of Beleriand do start out with a less formal system of rule than their kin in Valinor. As time goes on a more formal system of governance does emerge with appointed roles. Much is decided communally
The houses and structures were made of sandstone, clay and wood with imported stone from their allies utilized in the reconstruction after damage during the First battle of Beleriand. Tufa and limestone were also used in the walls, towers, and fortification
Sand ryegrass is also used in more temporary homes as well as baskets and nets.
In the Eastern reaches of their land, sheep were kept for wool and thus fabric (as well as milk). They were originally traded for with the Sindar of Mithrim. Flax, nettle and other salt marsh plants are also used in clothing. Shells are used in jewelry and metal production is relatively rare outside weapons.
Clothing is generally made with practical uses being considered first but there is absolutely a distinct fashion among the Falathrim.
Shell and bone are also used for blades. Pearl blades are a particular treasure.
Pearls are highly favored by the Teleri and though prized by the Falathrim, they do not have the same place in their culture. See the differences at the bottom
Several of the archways at Brithonbar contains fossilized ammonites.
Map making, cartography including astrocartograpgy, and navigation are highly valued skills and trades. Ink is made from the berries of a few plants and from pigment made from rock with traces of iron. Quills are typically made from sea bird feathers
Like the Teleri, Falathrim children grow up with a respect and love for the water. Swimming, safety, and knowledge of plants and animals of the water and shores is taught from a very young age. Knot tying and rope and sail making using fibers and cloth is also widely taught. Boats are typically wooden with cloth sails.
Trade began with Nargothrond and their allies soon after the hidden city was constructed though Finrod and his smaller group of followers canonically aided them long before. Routes for travel were known to the Falathrim long before the return of the Noldor.
Fish make up a lot of their dishes along with sea and salt marsh vegetables like Salicornia and sea purslane. Methods of seasoning are similar to Telerin and Iathrim methods and tend to rely on herbal sauces and garnishes rather than spices. Shrimp and crab are eaten far more commonly than the Teleri.
Olives grow to the North and South of the Havens and are cultivated in groves along with lemons closer to Nevrast and orchard stone fruit South of Egalrest. White peaches are rarer and often traded from East of the Havens but are a favored treat.
Some primary differences with the Teleri of Valinor
Teleri: sheer fabrics primarily from traded silk and very light cotton flower, large communal homes, pearlescence, music and instrument making, elaborate gardens and water scapes
Falathrim: primarily linen from flax, common use of sand ryegrass, silver and pale metallic colors, smaller often temporary homes, cartography, epic poetry, more practical gardens, fossils
Similarities: limestone and sandstone architecture, similar community governance ideas (though Alqualondë has a king of course), herbal sauces and garnishes
The Finest Crystal Shop In Singapore
Tumblr media
The first instrument used to aid people in understanding spirituality was crystals. Apart from their beautiful appearance as well, their development is a marvel of nature. Over the course of many millions of years these diamonds go through a series of transformations that produce multicolored rocks that carry the power of the Universe. Why wouldn't you want the positive energy within your home or even in your jewelry collection?
It may be difficult to distinguish the genuine crystals from fakes when you're just beginning to learn about crystal collecting. It's not an easy thing to do but we'll admit it. We're selective about the companies we enlisted with. In addition, having to shell out a lot of money for tinted glass is upsetting.
A Beginner's Guide to Crystal Shopping
Any crystal healer will tell you that this infatuation for these rocks is not new. It could pose a problem for those who are new to the field. On the internet, you can find plenty of conflicting information. We are here to help when you are making the first purchase.
Online shopping for crystals
Instagram is overflowing with sellers selling foreign crystals, which is both a benefit but also a burden. There is no replacement for experiencing the crystals in person however much we hate to tell that. However, those who don't have access to bricks and mortar shops must be aware. For certain there are numerous counterfeits and misinformed rocks!
Find the ideal crystal
When they discover the correct healing crystal, some people experience a bodily feeling usually warmth or a gentle vibration. Those of us who don't own one must wait for one to reach out to us. If you're not sure what you're missing from the above, try narrowing it down to what you want to achieve or aesthetic. Google lens is also an effective tool to utilize.
What is more important? Color, or ability?
Colour is among the most confusing topics when it comes to crystals. The "capabilities" of crystals depend on their hue. This is due to how they're made as well as the chemical components which make up the mix. When exposed to direct sunlight for a long period of time the color of some may discolor.
youtube
How to cleanse your cyst
The crystal must be cleaned when you find the perfect suitable. Physical cleanliness must not be ignored. However, metaphysical cleansing is an entirely different story. The sensitive people may be affected by the "dirty" gemstone.
Placing your crystals regularly over Carnelian or in a dish filled with rock salt is an effective method of washing them. It's fine to leave it for a while, but make sure it's dry, as saltwater could cause damage to the crystals crystals. Keep the salty substance out of your plants and make sure to get rid of it. Don't forget to wash up after them because they may get impressions of you.
What happens if my crystals aren't cleaned enough?
For those of us who are constantly cleaning our phones There will always be this nagging sensation of "Have I cleansed my crystals well enough?" And while there is no definitive answer, the best way to guard against negative energy is by being accountable for cleaning them.
Nature's Gift: Unveiling the Origins and Uses of Coconut Bowls
Tumblr media
In today's eco-conscious era, Coconut Bowls are the rock stars of the tableware world. They're not just bowls; they're the cool kids who've cracked the code of sustainability and charm. From being humble utensils in traditional cultures where coconuts were treated like royalty, coconut bowls have gone global, like the Avengers of eco-friendly living. As we peel back the layers of history and utility behind these trendy bowls, we're in for a ride filled with tradition, craftsmanship, and a whole lot of coconut love. So grab your spoon and join us as we dive headfirst into the wild world of coconut bowling – it's like a tropical vacation for your kitchen.
The Origins of Coconut Bowls
1. Historical Roots: Coconut bowling traces its origins back to ancient cultures across the tropical regions of the world. For centuries, communities have utilized every part of the coconut palm, from its fibrous husk to its nutritious fruit. Among these traditions, coconut bowling emerged as a practical means of crafting functional utensils. From Pacific islands to Southeast Asian shores, coconut bowls served as vessels for food, drink, and ritual offerings, embodying a deep connection between humanity and nature.
2. Cultural Significance: In various societies, coconut bowling held profound cultural significance beyond mere utility. These humble bowls were symbols of abundance, sustenance, and hospitality. In many coastal communities, the act of sharing a meal served in coconut bowls fostered bonds of kinship and community. Additionally, coconut bowls often played integral roles in ceremonial practices, representing purity, renewal, and reverence for the natural world. Through the ages, coconut bowling has been a cornerstone of cultural heritage, embodying the timeless wisdom of sustainable living.
Crafting Coconut Bowls
1. Harvesting Coconuts: The journey of coconut bowling begins with the careful selection and harvesting of mature coconuts. Sourced from sustainable coconut groves, these versatile fruits are harvested at peak ripeness, ensuring the highest quality shells for crafting bowls. Through eco-friendly practices, coconut farmers honor the natural cycle of growth and renewal, preserving the integrity of the environment for future generations. Each coconut harvested represents a testament to the harmony between human ingenuity and the bountiful gifts of nature.
2. Artisanal Craftsmanship: Once harvested, the coconut shells undergo a meticulous process of transformation, guided by the skilled hands of artisans. Employing traditional techniques passed down through generations, these craftsmen expertly shape and polish the coconut shells, transforming them into exquisite bowls of unparalleled beauty. With precision and care, they carve out smooth interiors and intricate designs, showcasing the natural grain and texture of the coconut shell. Every coconut bowl crafted is a testament to the dedication and craftsmanship of these artisans, imbuing each piece with a unique character and charm.
