Friendly reminder that your current job being too mundane, boring or below your aspirations are valid reasnons to look for a new job. Remember, that this is part of caring for your mental wellbeing, too. A job below your knowledge, skills and experience level may lead to burnout and low self-confidence. It doesn't have to be only because they don't pay you enough. You're not ungrateful. You deserve to be ambitious.

Looking for work is exhausting. The employer bullshits about how great the job and workplace are, the applicant bullshits about how suitable they are, and everyone on both sides knows they're being bullshitted and knows they have to keep bullshitting. It's bullshit.

i had two job interviews today as i mentioned last night and so i have a tip: one of the questions they'll ask you almost everywhere is "how would your loved ones (or a previous employer sometimes, depends) describe you as a person?" and my advice is answer that as best as you can and when it gets to the very end and they ask if you have any questions turn it around on them. "how would the people in the team you supervise describe you as a boss?" BAM. taste of your own medicine. their answer but even just their reaction to being asked that will tell you a lot about what working under them is like. if they get colder and give an answer that doesn't really say anything then you can bet their employees don't have a great opinion about them. on the contrary someone who's pleased to answer is probably a decent boss who is trusted by their team.
another good one is "why is this position currently vacant" and also most importantly if they haven't told you "when should i expect to hear back from you and do you contact people you don't hire as well as the ones chosen" bc you need to know when to expect an answer for one, and then the second part of the question in my opinion shows if they even value their applicants' time or if you're just another entry on their calendar and then that can again clue you into what you can expect if you're hired.
so that's what i wanted to share this time, good luck folks, go get that money!!!

Hire me?
Alright, my three biggest worries right now are the phone bill ($390), the car insurance ($190) and the title loan ($129). I need all three of these paid off ASAP to continue DoorDashing when the struts come in next week.
I have very little to do for the next week until then. Does anyone need to hire me for anything? I don't have anything useful to pawn, or I'd go that route. Even my dad's guitars - which I have panick attacks about pawing - would bring me MAYBE $200, and then I wouldn't be able to pay it off.
Email me at tashabot at gmail if you can think of anything you want to hire me for. I also have a PayPal.me, a Ko-Fi, a cashapp ($tashabot) and a PayPal (the same email as above), if you're inclined to donate towards the cause of me not losing these services.
Once I start DoorDashing again I can worry about everything else (except tires and an alignment, but I'll worry about that when I get there).
Things I can do:
Essay writing
Copy writing and article work
DBT skills work
Tarot readings
Fiction writing, although I warn you, that can take a while
Ebook formatting
Minor graphic design and editing
Writing tutoring
Presentation work
Voice work, although I'm by no means a professional
Speechwriting
Help with resumes and cover letters
And any of the other things you've seen me discuss here!
Pleeeease consider hiring me or helping me out. I've been trying to get a job since November and hit a wall every time because of my physical disabilities, but I was doing okayish when we were DoorDashing and Spark delivering (Although I was exhausted all the time). But now I'm just sitting here not doing anything and broke as a joke.

Job Application (for a big name company): list your preferred pay amount
Me: at least $15/hr
Response email: sorry, we can't pay you more than $8.50/hr for your work. We do have an employee discount and flexible schedule though, want an interview? Also this email is very confidential and only for this specific person to read.
Me: that's rather bold of you right now.
The worst part is I'm having such a hard time finding a job right now and this is one of the only responses giving me even a small chance. This country (USA) is a fucking nightmare!!

Hi aunties! I recently became aware of a nonprofit that I would love to work for. But the organization is still growing, they only have a few full-time staff, and they are only offering part-time positions at the moment. Their jobs page says they want to have more full-time employees as they expand. It’s a healthcare clinic and I work in healthcare administration so it makes sense that they would have more need for someone like me as they get higher patient volume and/or more locations. TL;DR would it be weird to send them an email/resume and ask them to keep me in mind for the future? And do you think they would actually do that? 😂
DO IT!!!! It's not weird at all! In fact, that's LITERALLY how I got my first big-kid job after college. Here's the full story on how to make this tactic work for getting a job:

Ever since meeting with my therapist I've had...such a good attitude. I was so stressed about jobs.
Now I don't give a fuck.
I'll find a way.
I'm good at data entry, office management, I'm great at scheduling stuff, hell I'll put earbuds in and sort mail all day if I can not interact with fucking customers.
I'm good at administrative duties...I have options. I've applied to now 35+ positions since Monday. Something has to pull through. And all of these jobs pay more than my current one anyways.
I deserve to work virtually.
I deserve to be happy in my work.
I deserve the life I want.

What the fuck is this? Why am I taking a buzz feed quiz to keep from fucking starving? Why are we allowing this to be used by employers to sort through applicants???
