Could you do a seperate piers and raihan x reader but enemies to lovers type of headcanons or just being enemies with them in general? Nothing too explicit?

Sure thing. Sorry for the long wait. I wrote Raihan where the reader uses a Pokémon type that’s weak against his teams types. For Piers I wrote where the reader uses a Pokémon type that’s strong against his teams types.

Enemies to Lovers

Raihan

People could see that you and Raihan were enemies because he would constantly beat your team in every fight

Your friends and family suggested switching the type of Pokémon you use, but you wanted to prove that Fire Pokémon were better than Dragon Pokémon

Your partner Pokémon is Cinderace. Your team includes Scovillain, Blaziken, Pyroar, Arcanine, and Ninetales

You love your team and you don’t want to give up on them and you know that they are strong

You interned for Kabu to learn more from the best of the best and you ended up working for him after your internship ended

Kabu said that you had a lot of potential

Kabu and Raihan were talking in the Motostoke gym and you tried to not be seen by either of them

Kabu saw you and called you over and you obliged because he is your boss

He said that he was telling Raihan that he planned on passing the Fire gym to you when he officially retires

Raihan said that he is shocked with Kabu’s decision because your team can be easily defeated

Kabu quickly reminded Raihan that this gym is one of the first three gyms that challengers face and that the gyms were supposed easier compared to his gym

Before Kabu left you and Raihan he said that you were the best Fire Pokémon trainer he has ever interned and worked with and that Raihan should at least show you some respect

It was three years after that conversation that Kabu retired and you took over the gym

Everyone else was welcoming and excited that you were finally the Motostoke gym leader and they had two cakes for you and Kabu since you both combined the two parties together

One cake said “Welcome to Gym Leader Family, Y/N” the other said “Have a Fantastic Retirement, Kabu”

Raihan gave Kabu his retirement gift and everyone held their breath when he approached you

He said “Congratulations on finally achieving your dream. I hope that you can finally prove that Fire Pokémon are stronger and better than Dragon Pokémon.” and he gave you his gift

Raihans gift was a plushie of Reshiram the legendary Pokémon that has the typing of Dragon and Fire

But there was a second plushie in the bag and it was a plushie of Turtonator which has the typing of Fire and Dragon

Before the party ended Raihan said “I gave you those two plushies because they prove that a Pokémon can be a stronger Fire type with a Dragon sub type or a stronger Dragon type with a Fire sub type.”

After he said that he kissed your cheek and left

Kabu and Melony saw kiss and they will not let you live that down

Piers

You knew you and Piers were destined to be enemies ever since you two were kids

You loved Flying Pokémon and your team just happened to have typings that are strong against his team

You hated it because you wanted to be friends with Piers, but he has made it clear that he hates you

Your partner Pokémon is Butterfree. The rest of your team includes Togekiss, Gliscor, Hawlucha, Flamigo, and Beautifly.

Your gym ended up replacing Opals gym, but you kept the same concept of how challengers battle at your gym as Opals gym. You wanted to keep it the same so that Opal can still have her legacy. So the gym now has pink and pastel blue to incorporate Flying and Fairy Pokémon.

Piers refused to visit your gym because he says the colors give him migraines

When Victor, Gloria, Bede, and Marnie were doing their gym challenges and Marnie happened to beat your gym in one go by luck. Victor, Gloria, and Bede completed your gym in two tries.

When word of Marnie completing your gym in one try got back to Piers he stormed into your office asking if you went easy on her

You told him that you didn’t go easy on Marnie and that she was a strong opponent and that he should believe in her more

After you said that he smashed his lips against yours and after he pulls away he tells you that you shouldn’t tell him how to feel

Let’s just say that after that interaction you and Piers relationship started to become more lovely

So... I remembered my scrapped Galar fic story.

Just to let you know, please do not expect anything to come of this, this is just an incomplete framework for a scrapped story. And nothing more.

a variation of these events occurred in the pasio fic, which release has been delayed, but will be here shortly, I promise.

things of note: the twist initially was going to be that Rose was Ash's dad, which I changed because Peony is more fun. Also, the story was going to reveal that 2 years had passed since Ash left pallet town, hence all the hints towards it, and Ash just forgets his birthdays.

What if Ash got a genuine Galar journey, without ‘hey remember this?’

Galar, and like in every pokemon anime timeframe is non-specific (for now heh heh heh)

Main characters

Ash - 10(?) years old, similar to how ash is in the X & Y anime, not immature but still young, has lots of experience (Spoilers: About 2 years worth), and is willing to pass it on to others.

Gloria - 12 years old, forced by her overbearing mother to wait a couple of years before she can start her journey, so naturally, she's very passionate about the sport, starts out iris/misty-like before character evolution hits and becomes the in-between of Serena/dawn and iris/misty character types

Hop Dande - 10 years old, young, and very similar to Ash when he started, but even more headstrong if you would believe it, he let being the champion’s little bro go to his head and thus thought he was champion material himself. Leaves at some point to truly learn how to battle and makes his return during the Galar conference.

Allister Nion - replaces Hop after he leaves, his arc is just to build confidence in himself.

Secondary characters

Marnie Nezu - ash’s rival (14) is pretty much the same in-game, the only difference is she and Gloria were once friends. 

Bede - Gary but worse, belittles Ash any chance he gets 

Leon Dande - is less stupid than his in-game counterpart, and is quite similar to Ash. 

Sonia Magnolia - introduces him to Gloria and hop

Prof. Magnolia - a wise old lady that gives our heroes their starters.

Rose Patak - is near 1 to 1 but seems like he’s hiding something. 

Oleanna Olive - fakes being motherly but is very very rude and angry underneath

Team Yell - is just a bunch of street punks that interfere with anyone they perceive as a threat to Marnie.

Gym leaders

Milo Yarrow - the stereotypical kind farmer’s boy 

Nessa Ruina - ash’s cool big sis in a metaphorical sense

Kabu Hibana - gives ash a mentorship program (tony stark peter parker-esque)

Bea Saito - antisocial but very kind also being mentored by Kabu (might become ash’s companion during the isle of armor)

Opal Poplar - kind old lady who mentors bede (being his reminder to be kind)

Melony Makuwa - kind and motherly off-field, an ice-cold battler on the field.

Gordie Makuwa - overconfident almost to a fault and really rude sometimes.

Piers Nezu - snarky but somewhat kind, and very protective over Marnie, but still her brother.

Raihan Kibana - I can't put his personality into words but he live-streams his fights.

Ash lands in Galar and is introduced to Sonia and Leon

Sonia then takes ash to Professor Magnolia to get his starter and he meets Gloria and Hop

Leon then takes him to Motostoke to announce the start of Galar’s gym challenge

Our heroes go to budew inn and meet Marnie.

Battle against some team yell grunts.

Our heroes than just hang out and bond

Milo gym fight: ash wins, Gloria wins, and hop needs a rematch.

After hop’s rematch milo teaches ash how to cook curry.

Gloria and Ash get into an argument over methods of travel.

As it turns out Nessa's prized Drednaw is very, very sick. Which ash cures with some herbs.

Nessa Gym Battle: Ash wins, Hop wins, Gloria rematch.

Gloria catches a Yamper.

Gloria's rematch.

Our heroes then go to motostoke

Before any of them fight Kabu the first team rocket clash happens

It's a near standstill, but team rocket blasts off due to Gloria’s Yamper and Ash’s Pikachu.

Kabu introduces himself to Ash and the two have a “Queens. Brooklyn.” moment 

Grooky evolves into Thwackey during Kabu’s fight. 

And ash loses but he’s not upset given both Thwackey has evolved and that Kabu is really respectful to him.

Ash goes and trains with Kabu and the two bond a lot.

Ash accidentally calls him dad and kabu is kinda flattered.

Rematch! 

And a great surprise occurs Pikachu can Gigantamax!

Everyone looks on in aww.

Ash wins and Kabu gives him the most dad-esque interaction ever.

“That was some real fighting, ash, great job!”

Here’s the next page of this thing. :0 This page is a special article on Raihan called “Raihan’s 15 Secrets.” Tbh most of this stuff is directly from the game, but feel free to read if you’re interested!

Apologies for any confusing phrasing here... some of these sentences were quite long and I don't have a ton of practice with long sentences;; I tried to break them up when it was more natural to do so in English, but idk it’s not perfect... Also, I referenced in-game phrasing which I found on serebii and bulbapedia for a couple sentences. I’m not 100% sure if some of the things in the magazine were intended as direct quotes from the game, though.

DISCLAIMER: I’m not a professional translator and my Japanese is honestly not that good (I’m like N3-ish I guess, never took the JLPT tbh). I only lived in Japan for around 2 years before moving back to the US. I’m definitely going to be missing a lot of nuance in my translations & there’s a good chance I may translate some things incorrectly. I’ll do my best tho. ^^;

Raihan’s 15 secrets

To celebrate the winner of this month’s Nintendo Dream Pokemon Sword & Shield Major Character Popularity Poll, we’re releasing a special feature article on Raihan. From fundamental facts that fans would know and regard as common knowledge to a few lesser known facts here and there, here are the 15 secrets!

(Includes some speculative content done by the Nintendo Dream editorial department. Some areas may differ from the character's formally-established profile.)

1. Raihan comes out as by far the tallest of not just the gym leaders but of all the major characters in Pokemon SWSH. His Pokemon Scale World Figure (Bandai Co.) is about 1/20th to true size; it’s around 9.75 cm, so he’s maybe around 195 cm?

2. Raihan’s rotom phone is the red color type. (The protagonist’s is orange and Hop’s is blue.)

3. His greatest partner is his Duraludon, which can gigantamax. It knows the moves Dragon Claw, Iron Head, Stone Edge, and Body Press. Duraludon’s sp. attack is higher than its attack, so it’s unusual that it only knows physical attacks. It may be that Raihan was taking into consideration his rival Leon’s Charizard, as well as what to do after gigantamaxing—which is why he made sure that Duraludon can attack with a powerful rock-type move.

4. He’s a dragon type user, but he’s also proactive about having non-dragon types in his party like Gigalith, Sandaconda, and Torkoal. His gym trainers do the same.

5. He likes to strategize around changing the weather. He puts together his teams such that they can utilize weather conditions: in the Gym Challenge he centers his team around sandstorm, while in the Champion Cup and the Galar Star Tournament his team utilizes strong sunlight.

6. The Hammerlocke Stadium gym mission is not at the stadium, but is instead conducted inside the Hammerlocke Vault. It seems the reason he has trainers participate in double battles is so that he can see how they perform under all kinds of circumstances.

7. It seems he is teaching the following principles to the Hammerlocke Gym gym trainers: the strength of dragon types, as well as how to make the battlefield work to your advantage in order to utilize that strength.

8. When battling Raihan, if the player or Raihan himself change the weather, he will say a special line of dialogue.

9. It seems that he has not once won against the ice type gym leader Melony. Even when up against her in the Champion Cup Tournament, he generally loses. Raihan has a lot of Pokemon on-hand who have a type-advantage over ice types, so he and Melony should be rather evenly matched in essence, but… maybe it’s that he finds her hard to deal with in some way?

10. When you meet up with Kabu on the Isle of Armor, he tells you that he himself was the one who suggested that Raihan add Torkoal to his team.

11. Other than the Pokemon League symbol and the dragon type gym symbol, the Macro Cosmos Bank logo is also depicted on Raihan’s uniform—this is the same logo which appears in advertisements at Hammerlocke Gym. Macro Cosmos Bank recruits strong-looking dragon type Pokemon for Poke Jobs to protect their investments, so having them as a sponsor is perfect for Raihan.

12. There’s an advertisement in Hammerlocke Stadium that seems to depict a Machoke and some sort of supplements. Perhaps it’s Protein or some sort of dietary supplement?

13. You can meet Raihan on the Isle of Armor while he’s in the middle of some “top-secret training.” He talks to you about various things depending on the weather. He has also taken a liking to Challenge Road as a great "selfie spot".

14. He often uses “ore-sama” when referring to himself, but he also uses “Raihan-sama,” “ore,” and “Raihan.”*

15. In the Galar Star Tournament, you can see special dialogue in the following circumstances:

*(TN: If you don’t know these Japanese honorifics or pronouns here’s my explanation... I’m not an expert so this is just my understanding. “ore” is a first person pronoun used by boys and men (generally considered more masculine and/or informal than watashi or boku), and “-sama” is an honorific kind of like “sir” or “madam”.  “ore-sama” is kind of a fictional first person pronoun that establishes a male character as someone who thinks highly of himself. Tbh it doesn’t really happen in the real world unless someone is joking or trying to sound like an anime character… it’s just something characters use in anime/manga/games/etc.

For “Raihan” and “Raihan-sama”: referring to yourself by name is usually considered kind of childish and cutesy, and then adding -sama to the end of your name (Raihan-sama) has the same effect as “ore-sama” of being kind of proud or cocky. Again referring to yourself by name is pretty uncommon for adults to do outside of anime/manga/games/etc. I think I only had one adult acquaintance who did this and she was kind of a strange lady tbh lmao… a couple of the middle school girls that I taught referred to themselves by first name, tho.

Anyway since Raihan’s a fictional character, these are all relatively common (?) first person pronouns that kind of establish him as proud/cocky and maybe playful/cute at times.)

Lonely Without Friendship

Raihan x F! Reader Angst/Fluff

Growing up you were always bullied. You didn't do anything to cause the bullying. It's just that kids are mean. You didn't have any friends because of this, so your parents ended up giving you a Glaceon and a Leafeon to help and protect you. They were your only friends throughout all of your school years. That was until you moved to Galar to continue studying.

So far your only friends were Hop, Milo, Marnie, Gloria (Fairy Gym Leader), Nessa, Melony, Sonia, and Bea. Your two Eeveelutions didn't like men all that much since boys were the main bullies from your younger years. Hop and Milo were the exceptions since Leafeon and Glaceon could tell that they had good intentions and wouldn't hurt you in any way. There were some people in Galar who would bully you and they would either wake up to a yard full of leaves or a yard full of ice that was covered in snow.

Raihan wanted to befriend you, but your two friends wouldn't allow it to happen. You would always have to put them into their Great Balls in order to talk to him. You couldn't blame them because Raihan is an intimidating-looking man. Towering over you and his fangs were a little scary at first. Leafeon would give him cuts by using razor leaf and Glaceon would purposely make the surrounding area cold by using snowy terrain.

It has been two years since you came to Galar and your two partners have eased up a little bit. They now like Kabu, Leon, Bede, Gordie, and Piers. Raihan was close to giving up on becoming friends with you entirely because he still isn't liked or even remotely close to being liked. That was until he was sitting with you on your bed while you were crying. You were crying because your boyfriend of three years broke up with you over text. Leafeon and Glaceon were laying their heads on your lap trying to comfort you. You were leaning your head against Raihans chest in a way that he couldn't see your tear-stained face.

"Y/N, I am going, to be honest with you and you may not like what I am about to say."

You sniffle and hiccup before responding

"What is it, Rai?"

"Your boyfriend was a complete jerk. He didn't deserve you."

You remove your head from his chest and look up at him.

"What do you mean?"

"What I mean is that you deserve someone who will treat you like you are the queen of the world."

You giggle a little bit before sniffing again

"I am no queen, Raihan. You know that."

He gently takes your hands in one of his and puts his other hand on your cheek.

"You are a queen, Y/N. You may not see it. But you are a queen to your Leafeon and Glaceon."

The two Pokémon nuzzle against you making happy purring noises agreeing with Raihan.

"And if I am being honest. You are my queen. I would do anything to see you smile. I will embarrass myself in order to make you laugh."

After telling you that he kisses the top of your head and you smile.

"Thank you, Raihan. I appreciate that. I really do."

"You are very welcome. Now, why don't you lay down with Leafeon and Glaceon and take a nap because I bet you feel tired after letting out all those emotions."

You nod and lay down. Glaceon and Leafeon lay down by your feet. Raihan gets off the bed and heads towards the door until you grab his hand.

"Could you cuddle with me, Raihan? Please?"

He looks at you and then at the two Pokémon for their responses. They nod their heads, yes and he lays down next to you putting your head on his chest. You and Raihan smile knowing that Leafeon and Glaceon finally accept that he would never hurt you. Ever.

I feel like no matter how much pride Gordie would have in himself, he still knows when to show respect, and where true potential lies beneath. Gordie totally has that genuine respect for the senior gym leader Kabu.

On some of the rare, relaxed discussions with his mother, the topic of gym leaders would come up, and would express this profound respect for the fire gym leader, which would catch Melony’s attention.

Their regions were pretty far from each other, but if this man interested her son so much, Melony wouldn’t mind the trip.

They would properly meet up for a small get-to-know, per Melony’s request, and have a Senior’s Discussion TM.

And they would just click. Everything felt natural to them in each other’s presence, and the blooming likeness to one another was just... instantly mutual.

They would, however, both be traditional, and agree to court one another to test the waters. They would never be the type to completely jump into things unless they were absolutely sure.

Whoever wins the match pays for dinner.

Their dates would circulate around the other gym leaders. So when they see Melony’s arm entwined with Kabu’s, no one is really surprised. Except for Gordie. Gordie doesn’t check on his mom much.

Milo and Nessa were Kabu’s wing man and woman, respectively. Leon and Raihan were already making bets. Bea and Opal would casually discuss it sometimes. Allister doesn’t really care. Piers heard from Marnie, who she heard from Hop and Victor/Gloria [Protagonist], who both heard from Leon.

Gordie would probably be a bit outraged, but if his mom is happy, then why not? Besides, he’d have the coolest (or the hottest, haha badum tshhh—) step-father.

Melony would have that doting, motherly behaviour with her, even if she’s only taking care of Kabu.

Melony likes to nuzzle Kabu’s arm when they walk. Kabu just finds this precious.

When Kabu isn’t taking care of himself correctly, Melony would gently scold him like you would a child. At first, he was rather confused about it, but soon found it adorable that her mother instincts were so strong. It just showed how much she cared.

When Kabu goes to visit Circhester and gets cold, Melony hands him her big floofy jacket. You cannot tell me that her jacket doesn’t just consume Kabu.

The hip, internet couple who share memes to one another.

[Kabu]: yeet.

[Melony]: lol

[Raihan]: lord help me.

Kabu, no matter how far into the relationship, enjoys taking Melony on restaurant dates to get to know her more, or how her day went. Nothing is more important to Kabu than a strong connection with his beloved.

Melony’s rich, and you bet she would spoil Kabu every now and then, although he insists not to.

Although chaste kisses are more Kabu’s style, he doesn’t mind extending them for Melony, who enjoy long, tender smooches~.
