"Don't run."
Your eyes were wide as you backed a safe distance away from Kakashi. He sat up, paying no mind to his already bruising neck and kicking your knife to the opposite side of the room.
You hadn't meant to drop it. You were so stupid to slip up like that, but your mind was racing. Your heart was pounding, and your body hadn't responded correctly to your fear. You'd relaxed almost on instinct at the familiar touch on your cheek. A turmoil of emotions and what had to be false memories were clashing with the rage festering in your mind, and Kakashi was the cause of it. You needed to get away from him
You needed to get out.
"Wait," Kakashi said when he saw the sudden resolve overtake your clouded gaze. He got back on his feet slowly, though his eyes were wide as he watched your movements carefully. He looked frantic. Scared, even. "Wait here, and I'll go get Ino–"
"Shut up," you spit, considering the exits on either side of you and wondering if it was worth it to try and fight past him to the door at his back.
That's the side closest to the main exit.
Your head was splitting. You pictured the man who had tortured you and tried to reconcile the image of his sadistic grin and cold eyes with the one standing in front of you. They were supposed to be the same person. They were the same person.
You couldn't breath. You needed to get out of this room. You needed to run until you couldn't move.
He must've seen it on your face the moment you decided to turn on your heel and bolt towards the door behind you. The moment you turned away from him, you heard him turn in the opposite direction to intercept you at the exit.
The windows on this floor open from the inside.
Your body was moving before your mind had time to catch up with it. Your feet carried you down halls and past rooms that you didn't recognize despite how easily you seemed to be navigating them. Your mind easily supplied you with directions as you ran through corriders and dimly lit hallways towards an unknown destination.
When you finally stopped in front of a closed door, something like awareness tugged at your mind. It shouted and screamed and made the ache in your skull grow worse until you finally shut it out with a shake of your head.
You pushed the door open and strode through the room, ignoring the unmade bed and full bookshelf and picture frames on your way to the door of the balcony on the far wall. It was cracked open, letting in a cool breeze that pushed the curtains into the room and made the fresh air mix with the distinct, pleasant scent of the room.
The air was choking you. Familiarity pushed past the barriers you'd surrounded your mind with and began shouting at you once again. It begged and pleaded with you to stop for just a moment. It told you to think about why the smell of this room was so naturally comforting, or how you'd so easily navigated the building and found yourself here.
You paused with a hand on the handle of the balcony door, staring at the field below it blankly.
Instead of pushing the door open, you turned and looked around the room again. In spite of your best efforts to remain unaffected, anger surge through you as tears formed in your eyes again. You felt lost—like this room was an endless, infinite space that you'd never escape from. It made you feel helpless.
It made you feel weak.
Next to the bed was a small table that held a few books, a lamp, and two framed pictures. The first was of three kids all huddled together with Kakashi towering over them. The man's eyes were closed and his smile was obvious behind his mask, a hand resting on the heads of two boys on either end of the girl in the middle.
You covered your mouth with a trembling hand, crouching to the floor and hugging your knees close to your chest.
The other picture was of the same pink haired girl who stood in the middle of the first picture. She was laughing, eyes squeezed shut and mouth open in what had probably been a delighted laugh. Next to her was a woman with a fond smile on her face and so much warmth in her gaze that it made your chest ache.
It took you a moment to realize that the woman in that picture was you.
You picked the framed photo up carefully, studying the familiar faces of two strangers.
You imagined the rest of the scene playing out after the photo had been taken. The girl reaching a hand to your shoulder as her laughter died down, then seeing that Kakashi had taken a picture and demanding that he show her. She wanted to make sure that she still looked cute mid-laugh. Watching as she tried to snatch his phone from him, hanging off of his arm and demanding that the photo be deleted as Kakashi grinned and held it above his head.
He showed you the photo later. You thought laughter suited Sakura far more than the tears you were accustomed to seeing in the Red Room
"What is this?" you whispered to yourself, choked and strained. You remembered her name. It disappeared from your mind just as fast as it had appeared, slipping away before you had a chance to hold onto it, but it had been there. You knew this girl. You knew this room and this building. You'd been here before.
You'd smiled here. You'd been happy.
It was a trick. This was all just another way for Kakashi to manipulate you—soon enough things would go back to the way they were. Kakashi would reveal his true nature to you, and you'd be right back where you started.
You rocked forward and let your knees hit the hard floor beneath you. The picture hung loosely in your hand, and you leaned wide eyed and reeling against the bed as memories passed through your mind faster than you could catch sight of them. They swirled in a raging tempest that you couldn't possibly breach. They were in dangerous territory that you didn't feel equipped to search through.
The blankets on the bed had the same, distinct scent as the room. They smelled like a forest.
It reminded you of safety. You wanted to bury yourself in it.
It was making you dizzy.
You flinched when you heard the quiet creak of a floorboard on the other side of the room, pushing away from the bed and backing into a wall.
Kakashi froze when your eyes landed on him. You watched him glance around the room and spot the missing picture on his bedside table, then scan your surroundings until he saw it clutched in your shaking hand.
Tears were slipping down your cheeks despite your best efforts to keep them at bay, but you found yourself unable to move your arms to wipe them away. Your body wouldn't respond to you, just like your mind was moving at an uncontrollable pace. You were completely helpless.
It should've been terrifying, but when you searched for the familiar fear that always appeared with when you were in Kakashi's presence, you found that you couldn't feel a thing.
Kakashi took a small step into the room, then another when you only watched him. You kept the picture clutched tightly in your hand like it was a weapon, but you didn't move until he was kneeling in front of you.
"Who are you?" you whispered when he was at your level.
He paused, then he lifted his hand slowly, letting you follow the movement until his fingers stopped at the edge of his mask. He hooked one over the cloth and slid it from his face until you could see his features clearly. The moonlight was shining into the room from the windows, illuminating his lips and his cheeks and his nose—all parts of him that you had never seen before.
"Are you real?"
This was not Kakashi Hatake. Perhaps you were dreaming. Hallucinating, even.
You felt him pulling the frame gently from your tight grip and relented with little fight despite a desperate part of you begging your body to move. It screamed danger as Kakashi's fingers brushed yours when he took the picture, but you just watched him numbly.
He reached towards your empty hand slowly. You watched him very carefully, scrutinizing every movement and waiting for some kind of attack. When he finally brushed his fingers against your palm, you noted that his skin was much softer than before. The hands that you remembered had been rough and unforgiving, always causing pain and inducing fear.
But you felt more relaxed now than you had in a long time. You looked at the features on his face that had been missing when he tortured you and saw a completely different person.
He guided your hand to his chest, then pressed it to his heart and held it there so you could feel the steady beat.
"I'm real," he whispered, threading his fingers through yours and keeping your locked hands pressed to his heart.
He felt real. He looked more real than he ever had.
Kakashi's eyes held yours until they flickered down to your chest. When they widened in alarm, you followed his gaze and studied the red patch steadily growing as it dampened your shirt. You hadn't felt any pain before, but now as you searched for it, you felt the low, dull throb where your stitches had likely ripped.
Your vision was beginning to darken. Staying awake felt safer with Kakashi so close, but the throbbing was spreading to your limbs and your vision was fading at an alarming rate. You'd let your guard down, and now you were paying the price for it.
Kakashi cursed as you slumped forward, but he caught you against his chest and shifted so that you were leaning back against him. Your chest was wet, and you understood how vulnerable this made you, but as you searched for the familiar fear that always seemed to appear when Kakashi was touching you, you found nothing but emptiness.
"I don't understand," you muttered, staring at his shirt when you couldn't bear to look at his face any longer. He was looking down at you as you spoke, but you knew that meeting his eyes would only make the pain in your chest worse, "I don't know what's happening to me."
"I know," he whispered, supporting your head when it began to fall to the side. He adjusted so that you could lean it back on his shoulder, bending his knees so that you were caged in and supported on all sides. You let yourself sink into him like like it was a natural response to his shift in position.
His arms were around you, holding you steady as your body went limp. You'd exhausted yourself completely, and now you were paying the price for being so careless with your injuries. You'd just wanted to get out—to go back to where they'd found you and stay in that room until you slowly faded from existence.
Instead, you were in the arms of the person you feared most in the world, and as darkness dominated your vision, you found that some part of you didn't want him to let you go.
Tumblr media
"Asuma," Kakashi blinked, stopping in his yard and watching his friend stroke Bull's back and take a long drag of his cigarette, "I didn't think you'd still be here."
"Well," the man shrugged, tapping his cigarette into an empty cup, "you've got a nice place here, Kakashi."
"It's not a hotel, you know."
"Your mutts are lonely," Asuma said with a grin, petting Bull on the head and watching amusedly as the rest of the dogs ran through the open front door and began competing for Kakashi's divided attention, "and I'm still recovering."
Asuma clapped his casted leg heavily, giving a chuckle when Bull nudged the injury with his nose.
"You're a lucky bastard," Kakashi muttered as he studied the newly-replaced cast. The side that was in his view had a giant signature taking up most of the space that vaguely resembled Guy's name, "if anyone else had taken a hit like that, they'd be six-feet under."
"And you're oh-so kind to help a poor cripple like me by giving me unpaid labor."
"You offered," Kakashi grumbled, sliding past Asuma to get into the house, "and you told me that letting you stay here was payment enough."
"Yeah, but when people say that, they don't actually mean it."
There was a silence as Kakashi looked the living room. The rest of the pack were settling back into their respective beds since the excitement of Kakashi's return had died down. He let out a sigh and strode further into the house.
"So...I know you don't like when people pry into your business," Asuma began from the porch. Kakashi heard him grunt pushed himself up on his good leg and turned to hand him his crutches, "and I know the question about why you got a new place is off-limits–"
"Correct."
"But why the extra room? You really need five beds for just you and the kiddos?"
Kakashi paused, glancing down the hall at the open door at the end. The bed inside was made and untouched, and it lacked any substantial decor aside from a spare painting that Kakashi hadn't really known what to do with. He looked away.
"I didn't pick the place," Kakashi shrugged, "I told Guy to find me something. He must've wanted a bedroom for himself."
"Hm. Sounds like something Guy would do," Asuma chuckled, "but I know when you're lying. I also know Guy's taste in real estate, and this ain't it. But I'll let you off the hook this time."
Kakashi ignored Asuma and rummaged through his kitchen cabinets for one of the instant-ramen cups that Naruto liked. The boy had come back to the compound that morning distraught because the grocery store was sold out, and Kakashi would rather not have another sulking child to look after tomorrow morning when there was no instant-ramen to have for lunch.
"That really all you came for?" Asuma questioned behind him.
"And the dogs. They're coming back to the compound with me."
Pakkun perked up at this, trotting over to Kakashi and pawing at his leg as if he'd understood the statement. Kakashi bent down and stroked a hand over his head.
Asuma was scrutinizing him, looking close to breaking and asking more question about the house. Kakashi ignored him and went back to rummaging through the cabinets for any more instant ramen cups he had buried behind cereal and loose spices.
"Are you sure you're alright?"
Kakashi sighed, heavy and deep so that Asuma would hear. He knew he looked like shit—he'd been up all night while Ino stitched you up, then couldn't bring himself to leave your room no matter how many times he told himself that he needed to go before you woke up. He found that convincing himself to leave you was much harder after he'd spent so long wondering if you were even still alive.
So he wasn't at his best this morning. But he also hadn't expected to still have company.
"I'm fine," he said, though he could still feel Asuma's scrutinizing gaze, "just tired."
Asuma was silent for a long moment, and Kakashi did his best to look focused on the task at hand to keep himself from turning and seeing Asuma's concerned glances.
"If you say so."

"Usually the pawn moves first. You can use the knight if you want to, but I'd stick with pawns until you get the hang of it–"
"I'll move the knight first!"
Shikamaru sighed, nodding at Naruto to go ahead and watching his friend move the knight forward triumphantly.
"Ok, what next?"
"I can't walk you through it step by step. Each game is different, so you have to learn what the pieces do and then decide the strategies yourself–"
"Pakkun!"
Sakura snickered at Shikamaru's unimpressed expression as Pakkun came bursting through the door, knocking the pieces off of the Shogi board and leaping into Naruto's arms.
Naruto let out a laugh, pushing Pakkun away as the pug licked his face and sat on Naruto's chest, tail wagging despite the perpetual frown on his face.
"Shikamaru?"
Naruto looked up at Kakashi standing in the doorway, but he was quickly distracted by the rest of the pack following Pakkun's lead and piling on top of the boy—who accepted them joyfully. Sakura sighed as laughter filled the room, then pulled Bull away as he began wandering towards where you were laying in your hospital bed.
"What are you guys doing in here?" Kakashi asked quietly, looking around at the scattered Shogi pieces, then looking at where you were still unconscious from your injury the night before. You hadn't moved since he left that morning, but part of him kept expecting you to just shoot up from bed and run at the first opportunity.
"Well, you said that you and Y/N had a...conversation," Sakura said sheepishly, avoiding Kakashi's eyes in favor of looking at Urushi as she scratched behind his ear, "and we wanted to be here when she woke up. We thought maybe she'd remember things faster that way."
"I didn't say 'conversation,' I said fight. She attacked me, then she ripped her stitches and passed out on me."
"But something happened in between! You told me!"
"Which I regret now," Kakashi grumbled. He let out a long, frustrated sigh, then sat in an empty chair at your bedside.
"Hey Kakashi."
"Hello Shikamaru," Kakashi deadpanned, then looked at his suspiciously quiet student on the opposite side of the bed, "Sasuke, I thought we talked about the whole 'discretion' issue."
"Yeah, but..." Sasuke looked at Kakashi, then winced and shrugged, "it's Shikamaru. Plus, we didn't tell him anything important. In fact, we brought him here to help."
Kakashi sighed again, pinching the bridge of his nose and thinking through this new development. He knew they had good intentions. They wanted you to heal as much as he did, but including more people in the mess that things had become was reckless.
He couldn't risk losing you. Not again. And if SHIELD found out about you now, when things were still so delicate, he knew what would happen.
Looking at the situation objectively, it wasn't safe to have you in the compound. You'd clearly gotten out of your restraints the first time you'd woken up, and he still had no idea how you'd done it. Telling SHIELD was probably the best way to go about this as a way of ensuring the safety of everyone involved.
But his students would never forgive him if he did that. And he knew that he wouldn't see you again if SHIELD got their hands on you.
He was being selfish, but he couldn't let that happen.
"Shikamaru," he said carefully, looking down at the boy sitting next to the Shogi board, "I know this isn't the most...conventional situation, but please don't say anything about her."
"Don't worry," Shikamaru said, "I have no interest in who she is or where she came from. I'm just here to play Shogi."
"To play...what?"
"We were doing some research," Sakura interjected before Naruto or Sasuke could, "and it turns out that strategy games can help improve memory. We thought that it might help."
"I don't think there have been any studies about this particular issue."
"Yeah, but we might as well try, right?" Sakura asked hopefully. "I mean, we can't just sit back and watch her suffer."
Kakashi opened his mouth with no real response formulated, but the door clicked open before he could speak. Kakashi sighed when Ino froze in the doorway and took in the scene before her.
"Guys, there are way too many people in here. If she wakes up, she's going to be too overwhelmed, and—who is that?"
Ino narrowed her eyes at Shikamaru. Her gaze shifted to Sakura, then to you, and then back to Shikamara still sorting through his Shogi pieces.
"I'm Shikamaru," he said dully, "I'm just here to play Shogi."
"Well, can you do it outside of the hospital room? There are seven people and—jesus—eight dogs in this room."
"Aw," Naruto groaned, hugging Bull as he strode to the boy's side and gaze him a slobbery kiss on the cheek. Ino cringed, "but we want to make sure Y/N's okay when she wakes up!"
"You do realize that she was holding a gun to your head not even a week ago."
"Ino," Sakura hissed, eyes wide with worry as she glanced down at Naruto, but the boy just shook his head and smiled.
"It's okay," he said softly, "I forgive her. Actually, no, there's nothing to forgive in the first place."
Ino stopped, staring at Naruto like he was speaking another language. It took a moment, and it looked like it had been years to Ino, but she finally shook her head and turned towards you.
"Okay, fine, just...go wait outside. This won't take long."
Ino glanced at Kakashi with a look that told him to stay where he was. They waited as the other four filed out, ushering the dogs along with them, then shut the door. Silence filled the room, and Kakashi took a deep breath in an attempt to regain some form of composure.
"The Shikamaru guy won't be a problem, right?"
"No, he'll be fine."
"I hope you're right," Ino said gravely, "because if he is—"
"He'll be fine," Kakashi repeated, glaring at Ino until she shrugged and looked away from him.
Sometimes he forgot that Ino was a Widow. It was moments like this that gave him a harsh reminder.
"Everything seems fine," Ino muttered as she lifted your hospital gown and poked at your wound, restitched but still irritated and swollen from the previous night. "It'll take longer for it to heal, obviously, so we have to figure out some way to keep her from exerting herself again."
Kakashi sighed, head dropping into his hands as he thought through their options. It seemed wrong to put you into a medically-induced coma without at least asking you first, but in your current state, you would never let that happen, even if it was Ino who was overseeing your medical care.
But the alternative was to let you wake up again, and there was no telling what kind of damage you'd cause to your body if that happened.
"So," Ino sighed, sitting in the chair on the other side of your bed and resting her elbows on her knees. Her eyes were narrowed—scrutinizing. Kakashi prepared for the incoming interrogation, "are you going to tell me what happened after you fought her last night?"
He'd been dodging Ino's questions all morning. He had no idea how to explain what last night had been like, and Ino was not the person he wanted to share it with.
But he supposed that she wasn't going to let him leave unless he gave some answers, and he really didn't have the energy to argue with her.
"She went to my room and found the photos I keep displayed. I guess they must've brought something back."
"What were the photos of?"
Kakashi grimaced, cheeks reddening as he tried to come up with a believable lie. It was one thing to have the picture. He never really invited people to his room anyways, so he hadn't thought it mattered.
Well, he usually never invited people to his room.
"One was of me and the kids," he said, leaning back in his chair and looking at the wall above Ino. He tried to steady his voice as much as possible and feigned a casualness that he knew sounded fake, "the other was of Y/N and Sakura."
Silence filled the room, and Kakashi let himself bask in it for a few moments before he glanced back down at Ino. Her eyebrows were raised to her hairline, mouth pursed in a tight line and hands clenched tightly together like she was trying not to jump out of her seat and hit something.
"Okay," she said cooly, "and then what happened?"
"She asked me if I was real, and I showed her...I showed her my face. And then she passed out."
"And you brought her here."
"Yes," Kakashi grumbled, "I brought her here. Then I woke you up."
Ino watched him for another moment. Then she glanced at you, and something in her face shifted.
"During the last month that we were with Orochimaru, I kept asking myself, 'why is it Kakashi Hatake, of all people, who's getting to her? Why is the idea of his betrayal so painful?'"
Kakashi could feel his heart pounding in his chest, just like it did every time he heard that name. He tried not to let it show in his face, but he knew that Ino saw. Saw the twitch of his eye and the clenching of his fists and the tension in his shoulders.
"I don't know what love feels like," Ino continued. "Honestly, I don't really know what a lot of things feel like, but the way that she tried to hold onto your memory..."
"Please stop," he muttered, looking out the window to try and find something to focus on other than the pounding of his heart. Each beat felt like a stab in the chest. He thought it would shatter if he even tried to look at you.
"Why?" Ino asked, and he wondered if there was a point to this or if she just felt like being cruel, "do you not feel the same? Or are you just afraid to face it?"
"I don't want to talk about this with you," Kakashi snapped, finally glancing down from the window and glaring at Ino, "and that's very far from my main concern right now."
Ino sighed. Kakashi took a deep breath to keep himself from saying something out of frustration. When he felt calm enough to look at you again, he felt his racing heart begin to slow.
"We also need to talk about Orochimaru."
Kakashi felt the moment his anger was set ablaze once again. It was a storm inside of him, twisting his insides until all he could feel was that terrible anger that had been building against that monster for six years.
"I don't know what he's planning, but I've known him my whole life. He's not just going to give up," Ino said, observing Kakashi carefully. He tried to calm himself down again, but this time looking at you just made him angrier.
That man had done this to you. He was the one to blame for everything.
"I don't care what he tries. He's not getting anywhere near us again," Kakashi muttered darkly, eyes still on you despite how angry he was on your behalf. He would grab his anger by the throat, and he'd channel it into keeping you and his students safe.
He had already failed to do it once. That wouldn't happen a second time.
"That's a nice thought," Ino hummed. Kakashi glared at her, but she wasn't facing him anymore. Instead she was staring through the window, eyes clouded and very, very far away, "but it's wishful thinking. If he wants to get to you, he'll find a way. He always does."
"Before, he had the Widows."
"It doesn't matter," Ino said, the ghost of a smile still on her lips. Kakashi narrowed his eyes, watching her carefully. She seemed so...resigned. Like she had already accepted whatever fate Orochimaru had in store for her, "he always finds a way."
"How do we find him?"
"We don't," Ino shrugged, "but HYDRA might. In that case, we won't have anything to worry about."
"You don't think HYDRA will come after you too?"
"After me?" Ino laughed, "no, I don't think so. I'm a small fish. They have much bigger issues than a few rogue Widows. Especially ones that are still trainees."
"Trainees?" Kakashi asked, brows furrowed. He finally looked back up at Ino, and he could see her trying to hold back laughter, "what do you mean?"
"I mean me," she said with a cackle, "and Sakura, obviously, but that's because she came in late."
"But you're...is Y/N–"
"Oh, no. She graduated a long time ago," Ino waved the thought away, "but Widows are trainees for a long time. We only rank up once we turn eighteen."
Kakashi blinked at her, and she laughed again.
"I'm younger than Sakura, you know."
"You're...what?"
"Yep," she sighed, "really annoyed me when I found out. I still don't get how she's older than me. It's only by a few months, but man did she seem young when we first met."
Kakashi begged to differ. Sakura had always tried to act older than she was, if only to one-up Naruto and Sasuke. She appointed herself the level-headed one of the group, parading around as the self-appointed leader who could take on any task. She continued to be the brains of their little trio as they got older, and that would likely never change.
But Ino was so young. All four of them were.
"Don't do that."
"Huh?"
"Make that face," Ino grimaced, "like you feel bad for me or something. I know it seems like it to an old man, but we're really not all that young."
Kakashi glanced at her dully, and she laughed again.
"If you keep worrying so much, you actually are going to turn into an old man."
There wasn't really much to do but worry. It had been hard enough knowing that you were with Orochimaru and that he couldn't do anything about it. It was an entirely different type of worry now that you were back, but still trapped in Orochimaru's lies.
"Listen," Ino sighed, "even before you found us, we were making progress. She wasn't as scared, and she was remembering bits and pieces of her past. You just have to give her time to heal."
Kakashi glanced at you, counting each breath as it rose with your chest and finding a relieving calmness in the task.
Your monitor had been a steady, reassuring beat in the background of the room since Kakashi had entered, but both he and Ino perked up when it began to quicken. Kakashi stood, waiting with bated breath for any type of movement. The speed of the monitor wasn't concerning, but it was becoming clear that you were beginning to wake up.
Would you remember him? Would you still hate him?
Would you be afraid of him?
Your wrists were secured to the sides of the hospital bed with leather straps—a precaution that seemed necessary considering what had happened the night before—but it still seemed wrong. He didn't like seeing you strapped down. He didn't like that he was the one who had restrained you.
"Calm down."
Kakashi looked up and saw Ino staring at him, eyes narrowed as she scrutinized his face.
"I am calm."
"You're freaking out," Ino said matter-of-factly as she looked back down at you and checked your IV and heart monitor. Really, it looked like she was doing unnecessary tasks to distract herself from your slow rise from unconsciousness, "you look ready to bolt."
"I don't want to be here if she's afraid of me."
"She's not afraid of you," Ino murmured, "you're not the one who tortured her."
"It doesn't matter," Kakashi shot back, "I was the one she saw."
"It does matter." Ino snapped, "She can already tell that there's a difference, right? That's what you told me. Like I said, you just have to give her time."
Kakashi knew she was right. As painful as this felt, it wouldn't be for
"Help her believe that you're not Orochimaru," Ino said, watching with Kakashi as your hand twitched and your eyes squeezed shut, "Show her that you're different."
Tumblr media
"Y/N?"
You were floating. There was nothing beneath you but empty space and nothing above you but darkness. Your arms were spread at your sides, fingers splayed to feel what was holding you up, but all you could do was ball your hands into empty fists in a fruitless attempt to hold onto the nothingness keeping you afloat.
You closed your eyes.
"Please wake up."
Someone was crying. You felt their tears falling onto your face, and your eyes flickered open when a drop of salty water landed on your eyelid. The harsh light above you felt like a stone weighing down your skull. Your head was pounding, but there was solid ground beneath you now. That, at least, brought you some relief.
"Thank God," someone said to your left, and before you could look at them properly, arms were around your waist, squeezing it like you would slip from their grasp the moment they let you go. You stiffened, body tensing the longer they held onto you. When you glanced down, you saw a mess of pink hair on the head of whoever was holding you.
"Let go of her," a new voice snarled, low and dangerous. You reached out instinctively, covering the girl as best as you could and looking up at the man who had spoken.
He didn't look very strong. You gave him a once over and decided with a fairly high level of certainty that you could take him if it came down to a fight. His long, black hair cascaded down his back, and when he turned to face you, you couldn't help but be reminded of a snake. His irises were practically slits, and they narrowed on you when he met your eyes.
You were sure that you could overpower this man, but you still looked at the ground the moment he turned towards you, fear filling your lungs like it was the very air you were breathing.
"I don't understand," the girl said, still holding your waist. Her voice was shaky, and you instinctively gripped her tighter, "we didn't do anything wrong. We did what you said–"
You hadn't registered that there was someone standing behind you until he grabbed the girl by the arm and dragged her towards the opposite side of the room. You opened your mouth, but a sharp glare from the silver-haired man who had just appeared silenced you immediately. Fear rocketed through you, but you didn't understand why you were so afraid. All you knew was that you felt a deep desperation to make sure this girl didn't get hurt.
The silver-haired man pulled the sobbing girl forward until she was at the other's feet, kneeling before him. He threw her down with a sneer, then turned back towards you. He looked disgusted.
"Y/N," the taller man said sharply. You lifted your chin, but your eyes stayed fixed on the wall behind him, "I know you lied to me about this mission."
Your body went taut, tension nearly bursting from you as you searched for some answer to the unspoken question he was asking, but nothing was clear. None of your memories were surfacing no matter how desperately you searched for them.
Yet, despite the information that you were missing, your mouth opened and you began speaking before you even knew what you were going to say.
"Sir," you heard yourself say, the slightest tremor in your voice, "I apologize. There was some information that I didn't believe was relevant."
Silence spread over the room like a thick blanket of fog. You couldn't remember where this was. You had no idea who these people were, but you were speaking like all of this was a memory.
"Sakura," the man said, and you jolted. You knew that name. You knew this girl—it was right there in front of you, if you could only open your eyes and see it.
"Y/N had a different mission than you. She was supposed to tell me whether or not you are a valuable asset to the Red Room."
Sakura's eyes widened, but she didn't take the risk of looking at you. You could see how hard she was shaking at the feet of the black-haired man, and your fingers tightened into fists. You were fighting a battle against your instinct to protect her, but it was losing to the fear that kept crashing into you in waves. There was nothing you could do. Not against them.
You knew, deep down, that anything even resembling rebellion or defiance would end in pain. Pain for both you and Sakura.
"And she left some key information out of her report. One detail being your failure to kill your target. She had to do it for you, correct?"
You scowled at the ground, wracking your brain to try and figure out how he'd known that the mission had gone so wrong so quickly.
The memories were coming back. You could picture the second you pulled the trigger when Sakura hesitated. It was a crucial moment in the mission, and she would've missed it had you not taken the shot for her. At the time, she'd been grateful.
The events were all coming back. But why...why did you risk that for her?
But despite your confusion, overpowering it was fear. Fear for the girl kneeling on the other side of the room.
You knew what was going to happen next.
And that man...you knew his name. And you knew you had good reason to be afraid of him.
"Why did you lie?"
You tensed, wide eyes fixed on the ground as you tried to come up with some excuse that wouldn't end with Sakura getting hurt.
"Sir," you began, the word escaping you in a hushed breath, "I made the decision to kill him. Sakura wold have had the opportunity to do so had I not stepped in. The fault lies with me."
"Y/N–"
Your head shot up at the sound of skin hitting skin, but you only saw the aftermath of Sakura's body hitting the ground with a thud. Your throat dried as you glared at Kabuto's raised hand, and the anger that had been growing in your chest flared.
You were forced to look away when the black-haired man approached you, footsteps echoing off of the sleek, black tile in the silence of the room. His movement made even the other man pause.
You saw his shoes stop in front of you, but you didn't dare lift your head now that he was so close. It was only when he leaned down and gripped the back of your neck in a tight fist that you were forced to look up and finally meet his eyes.
"What do you think you deserve for lying to me?" he asked calmly, though his tightened grip was a stark contrast to his tone. Any tighter, and you wouldn't have been able to speak. You winced when he gave pulled you up from where you were sitting—a warning not to take any longer to answer.
"I will accept any punishment you deem acceptable to give me, sir," you told him, the words automatic and practiced. You allowed yourself a moment to glance behind him and meet Sakura's eyes. She shook her head, eyes wide and frantic, and you gave her the smallest smile you could manage, unsure if she would even see it. "And I will take any further punishment in Sakura's stead."
"I can't allow that."
"May I speak freely?"
There was a pause. That was a risky question to ask. Especially when you were on thin ice already.
"Speak."
"Sakura responds well to my instruction. You've seen the improvement yourself since we've been partnered together. Let me take on her punishment, and I will continue to train her until she is ready to graduate. I promise that I will make your expectations of us very clear to her."
He considered your words, staring at you as he did so. He was scrutinizing every little movement of your body—every shift in your expression, and you practically felt his gaze reaching the depths and recesses of your soul. He knew everything about you. He knew how terrified you were of him.
He also knew that you would do anything to protect Sakura.
"Fine," he relented. You sagged in relief.
Sakura looked devastated. She looked furious.
"Sakura," you whispered, voice hoarse and strained. The girl looked up at you, teeth clenched and eyes full of fire.
"Sakura," you repeated when the man turned towards her, "it's alright. Just let it go."
"How could I—ah!"
"Neither of you were given permission to speak," the silver-haired man hissed, hand raised to strike Sakura once again. You nearly lunged for him, but the other man's fingers tightened on the back of your neck again and you stilled.
"Don't," he said, watching Sakura on the ground blankly, "you're in no position to protect her."
Then he turned towards you again, and you felt the fear that he been a dull ache in your chest up rise into your throat. You pulled back, attempting to get his hand off of your neck, but it only tightened further.
Instead of the black-haired man, it was Kakashi staring you down, silver hair reflecting in the light. Those snake-like eyes were the only things that remained.
"No," you murmured. Kakashi grinned. "This isn't what happened. You weren't here."
"No?" Kakashi mocked. "How would you know? You don't even know who that girl is."
"I do," you croaked, "I do know her."
"You knew her. But you don't know anything anymore, do you?"
You grit your teeth and tried once again to find any relevant memories. The ones that would answer the endless questions that you had about this place. About Sakura and the black-haired man.
About Kakashi.
"You tried to protect her, and you failed," Kakashi said, voice mocking and humored, "and now look at you. You can't even protect yourself. You're useless."
"You're not supposed to be here," you whispered, refusing to look into his eyes, "I know you're not."
"Think, Y/N!"
You looked up at Sakura's voice. Kabuto was gone, and behind her was nothing but that emptiness you'd woken up to.
"You can find your way back! I know you can!"
She looked twice as desperate as she'd been in your memory, but it looked like she was trapped behind a glass wall. She pressed her hands against it, and her shouts began to fade into silence.
When you looked above you again, Kakashi had vanished. You were floating where he had held you, and once Sakura's voice had faded completely, you shifted your gaze back to where she had been standing.
You were alone.
You closed your eyes, curling in on yourself and hugging your knees to your chest in a desperate attempt to keep the emptiness from swallowing you whole. Maybe if you made yourself smaller, it would forget that you were there. Maybe it would leave you alone.
"Let me out," you choked, feeling the silence of the space pressing you in on all sides, making you smaller and smaller until you were just a speck of dust in its infinite vastness.
"No," you choked, "no, I don't want to be here."
No one responded. The silence was suffocating.
"Let me out!" you screamed, voice drifting off into the emptiness that surrounded you. The sound died the moment it left your lips. No one heard you. You wondered if you'd even spoken at all.
"Wake me up," you whispered, voice cracked and so close to shattering. "Please...please let me leave."
The empty space gave an answering shudder that shook you to the bones. Then, in a merciful acceptance of your pleas, it shattered, leaving you with nothing to do but open your eyes.
Tumblr media
Regaining consciousness felt similar to clawing at empty air. Like you were trying to grasp at anything to keep you grounded. It quickly became exhausting.
It was unpleasant, and your head was pounding, but relief still overpowered everything else that you were feeling.
Ino was hovering over you, scanning your expression and giving you a forced smile when she met your eyes. You blinked, watching blankly as she felt your forehead, then your pulse, then the probes on your chest attached to your heart monitor.
"How are you feeling?" she asked after a moment, finally sitting in a chair at your side.
"Tired," you muttered. Ino chuckled.
"That's because you're still doped up on pain killers," she shook her head, "I can't believe you. I thought I told you that we were safe here."
You grumbled something that was intended to be an apology, but probably sounded more like inaudible frustration.
When she got no other response, Ino glanced at something above you, and you saw the nervousness that passed over her face before you turned to find out what was causing it.
You cycled through several emotions at once when you met Kakashi's eyes. The image of that familiar man's face was the first thing to appear, and you swallowed against the bile rising in your throat. You'd just barely held onto the image of his face from your dream, but it felt important. Far too important to forget before you understood what was going on.
Kakashi seemed to sense the internal battle that you were fighting and looked at Ino, freeing you from his scrutinizing gaze.
"Y/N," Ino said, voice frustratingly calm. It was like she was talking to a wild animal, afraid that it would bolt at the first sign of a threat.
Though you supposed that you'd done nothing but prove yourself a danger to the people around you. And the straps over your wrists and ankles were a harsh reminder of how recklessly you'd acted the night before.
"Is it alright if I step out for a minute?"
You looked up at Ino indignantly, eyes wide and a very strong "no" involuntarily forming on your lips. For the past seven months, being alone with Kakashi meant pain. It meant that you were doing something wrong.
"Ino, maybe that's not the best–"
"I'm not asking you," Ino interrupted Kakashi firmly, gaze holding yours even as she spoke to the man on your other side. "Y/N?"
Why would she even ask? She knew what he had done to you. She knew how much you feared him.
You risked another glance at Kakashi, and he quickly averted his eyes when you caught him looking at you.
"Actually, I should probably go check on the others–"
"It's fine," you stopped him as he began to stand from his seat. You turned back to Ino and gave her a wobbly smile. She didn't look impressed by your attempt to look calm, "you can go."
Ino gave a nod, then looked up at Kakashi and narrowed her eyes. You couldn't tell what message she was trying to convey, but Kakashi seemed to understand. Then, after glancing at the straps holding you down by your wrists and ankles, she opened the door and left.
Silence swallowed the room, and you kept your head turned towards the door. Then, when your heartbeat had slowed enough that you felt you could move, you turned your head and gazed at the ceiling.
Maybe this wasn't the best idea.
This wasn't the Kakashi you knew. It wasn't the man who tortured you. There were missing pieces, and you were likely in no danger with someone that Ino trusted to be alone with you.
But you still couldn't help the fear that flooded you at the sight of him. Everything else was obscured by his mask, but his eyes...they often haunted you in your nightmares.
And even though they looked different, they were the same eyes you remembered. They were kinder, but looking at them still reminded you of that machine.
You could feel yourself beginning to float again. You didn't want to shut down now—not after you'd just woken up and especially not while you were alone with Kakashi, but that seemed to be where you were heading.
Useless, you heard a voice say in your head. I'm disappointed. I thought you were stronger than this.
It didn't sound like Kakashi. If your very unreliable memory was serving you well, it almost sounded like the black-haired man from your dream.
You risked a glance at Kakashi. He was remaining silent as well, elbows resting on the arms of his chair and hands clasped together. As far as you could tell from his eyes, his expression was tense, but not impatient. Nothing like the expression you remembered from the past seven months.
"Can you," you began shakily, swallowing against your dry throat when the words came out hoarse. You felt pathetic, and you were certain you didn't look any better than you sounded, "can you take off your mask?"
Kakashi looked fairly unsurprised by the request, and he was quick to relent. Just like the night before, he hooked a finger over the black cloth and pulled it down so that it pooled around his neck. And, just like the night before, it triggered something inside you that you'd buried very deep. Something that was too far away for you to identify.
But it was a far cry from the fear that you were accustomed to associating with him.
Now, without the blinding effects of adrenaline and fear, you took the chance to observe him properly. For the longest time, you'd pictured there being something monstrous beneath his mask. Like he was just pretending to be human as a trick, and what lied beneath the black fabric was too horrifying to imagine.
But he was...perfectly normal.
You almost wished he was a monster. That would make all of this less confusing. And it might make you feel less guilty for being afraid of him.
"I had a dream last night," you told Kakashi. "about a man with long, black hair and eyes that reminded me of a snake's. I was...terrified of him."
Kakashi's breath stilled, and you turned your head towards him. He was evidently very good at hiding his emotions, because his expression gave nothing away.
"Do you know who he is?"
Kakashi opened his mouth, then closed it, breaking away from your intense gaze.
"Yes," he finally said, "his name is Orochimaru."
Orochimaru.
The name was like a slap to the face. Hearing it now, you wondered how you'd ever forgotten it. There was so much fear associated with him that feeling it now was like knowing true terror for the first time.
You thought you'd been afraid of Kakashi, but as the image of Orochimaru and his serpentine gaze formed in your mind, you realized that the fear you'd felt then was just a small island compared to the world of hate and pain that was opening up before you.
"Breathe," Kakashi said next to you, hands kept very deliberately at his sides, "he can't get to you here."
Your heart was pounding, and you had no idea why. You didn't know where this fear came from. You just knew that it existed it.
It was consuming you.
All of the images of Kakashi torturing you with that machine became hazy—as if they had sunk to the bottom of a the ocean, only the ghost of them visible through the water. They shifted so quickly and so violently that you thought it would make you sick.
And then, when the waves calmed and you could see the images clearly, Orochimaru had taken Kakashi's place at the center of each memory.
Maybe it had never been Kakashi. Maybe the person you'd been afraid of for as long as you could remember wasn't real. He was just a twisted version of the man sitting here now, seemingly taking care of you despite how violently you'd attacked him.
What if he's lying? a small, almost silent voice whispered in your ear. How would you possibly be able to tell the difference?
You swallowed, fighting the wave of nausea that made bile rise in your throat. How were you supposed to know what the truth was? How could he prove it? How could you trust him if he did?
Nothing felt real. Every bit of kindness seemed like a trick.
You couldn't even trust yourself anymore.
"Why did I end up like this?" you whispered, trying desperately to keep tears at bay. Letting Kakashi see you cry not once, but two times in the span of twelve hours was humiliating. You felt far too vulnerable as a layer of salty tears blocked your vision despite your best efforts to contain it.
"It's not your fault," Kakashi whispered, though he sounded just as lost as you felt.
It's not yours either.
You couldn't say that to him. You weren't sure you even believed it, but it came to mind as an automatic response to the sadness in his voice and the guilt plaguing his expression. Something in your chest tightened at the look on his face. You turned back to the ceiling.
"You probably know more about me than I do."
In the silence that followed your words, you could hear the faint sound of whispering coming from the other side of the door. After a few moments, a bark made all of the whispering voices pause, then they all began shushing the perpetrator of the noise simultaneously. You glanced towards the door cautiously, counting the different voices and determining that four people sat outside of your room.
That many people could quickly overtake you with your injury hindering you—not to mention the restraints holding you down. Your door wasn't locked, so they could easily come in and ambush you. And you certainly didn't trust Kakashi to come to your aid in the event of an attack—one civil exchange wasn't enough to erase your fear. Not by a long shot.
You tested the restraints again, feeling more desperate to free yourself of them by the second. You were caged in on both sides by people whose intentions were a mystery to you. Kakashi—this version of him at least—hadn't proven himself a threat yet, but the voices outside were unfamiliar. Ino's wasn't among them, meaning she had either left, been attacked, or...
Perhaps she had never been here to begin with. What a sick twist of fate that you were alone in enemy territory after all, and you'd just conjured a hallucination of her as a means of coping.
And there was a dog—not a small one, if that bark was anything to go by.
It didn't matter that, at an instinctual level, you trusted Kakashi. It didn't matter that he seemed to be telling the truth when he said that he was on your side. Trusting him now was a bad idea. You didn't have nearly enough information to believe that all he had were good intentions.
"I'm taking your restraints off."
You looked over at Kakashi, now standing and focused on the leather straps around your wrists. He glanced at you with a raised brow, a silent question in his eyes. You narrowed your own at his seemingly well-intentioned gesture. It was a bit too well intentioned—what reason did he have to believe you wouldn't wring his neck the first chance you got?
He was either very kind, very stupid, or an unhealthy mix of the two.
"Why?" you asked, making Kakashi pause. He shrugged as he reached forward, waiting for your nod of assent before he loosened the strap on your left wrist enough that you could pull your hand through.
"They were mostly a precaution for when you first woke up. We didn't want you to panic and hurt yourself, or..."
He grimaced, neatly avoiding your eyes as he moved to the other side of the bed and undid the right strap. You circled your newly-freed wrists in relief and made a very weak attempt at sitting up. You didn't get very far when pain flared in your chest, and you fell back with a frustrated huff.
"Don't do that," Kakashi shook his head as he took the straps off of your ankles, "you have to give your body a break if you want to heal."
"I got around just fine last night," you muttered. Kakashi huffed
"Well, you're still just as reckless as before."
You furrowed your brow. Before.
The gaping holes in your memory were torturous. Knowing that there was so much missing kept you up at night as you tried desperately to find your way through the haze blocking you from your memories. But everything felt so far away, and you were tired of having to look for things that should have belonged to you.
Your mind should've been your own to control.
"Is there a girl named Sakura here?"
Kakashi's eyes widened, and hope bled into his expression. His lips parted just slightly, then lifted in a happy—albeit small—smile.
"There is," he said with a laugh, "she misses you."
"She was in my dream," you furrowed your brow, "but I don't remember anything about her."
"That's okay," Kakashi shook his head, "anything you remember is progress. Even if it's just a name."
Progress. You almost wanted to laugh. You couldn't even remember what the end goal of that progress was. How were you supposed to find your way back into a mind that seemed lost to you?
"How can I know that you actually mean that?"
"Trust isn't earned over night," Kakashi said, eyes not leaving yours, "it took us both a while to trust one another the first time we met."
The image of a man separated from you by a cell door flashed across your mind, and you stowed it away carefully.
"What changed?"
That gave Kakashi paused. You watched him as he looked down at his clasped hands and pondered on it.
"I can't say what changed for you," he finally answered, "but I knew that I could trust someone who cared as much about my student as I did. You protected Sakura for a long time. That's why..."
The pause that followed was heavy. You shifted in the bed, suddenly unsure whether you wanted him to continue.
"That's why you left. To protect her."
You chose to leave. If what Kakashi was saying was true, it was all because of how much you cared about the girl from your dream.
It was your choice. So why did Kakashi look so guilty?
You replayed your dream again, thinking about the sacrifice you'd made in that one memory to keep Sakura safe. The pain that you were willing to endure to make sure she didn't have to feel it too.
"Will you tell me more?" you asked hesitantly, wondering if it was acceptable to make such a request of someone you still didn't know if you could trust.
"Of course," he said immediately, "anything you want to know."
You weren't sure what you could possibly ask.
"Start from the beginning."

Author's note | YEESH another long one, hopefully it makes up for the nearly two month long wait. i'm hoping you guys like the direction the story is going. we're (kinda) nearing the end of this particular story, but i have more plans so no worries there.
i'm hoping that the storyline isn't getting too repetitive, and i know that not much is happening in the way of romance, but i PROMISE we're getting there. i tend to say a lot and take a while to get where i'm going but i hope that's something you guys enjoy.
also, if you haven't yet, please check out the playlist for this fic (linked above)! it is very specific to my taste in music but i think it fits the story really well. i tried to order it to fit the order of events in the fic, so maybe listen while you read if that's something you enjoy. i do want to point out one song that i've been listening to non-stop and that has inspired me a lot recently. it's called "take me to war" by the crane wives, and my favorite lyrics are "there are no stones at my disposal / there's no god to award me a crown / but i am always swinging at / somebody i can't knock down." i feel like it fits so well.
anyways, thank you for reading this far and don't forget to leave me some love if you enjoyed!! see y'all in the next chapter!

Summary- Itachi always considered izumi more and now you've had enough.
Pairing- Itachi X Reader
Tumblr media
You were pissed. Absolutely pissed. He thinks everything is a joke and everyone is as calm as him, news flash it isn't like that. The argument you and itachi had was a long awaited one. Everybody knew izumi was madly in love with itachi, except itachi. He just wouldn't accept it no matter how many times you'd sit him down and tell him how she bats her bedroom eyes at him. He would knowingly hold his hands in public, hug him or cuddle him all the time sometimes even handfeed him making your blood boil with anger.
You were understanding, it was fine if itachi had female friends and their company. You never once tried to control his social life and neither did he but with Izumi it was different. She did it on purpose. Like this time, you planned a dinner date with itachi at this exotic hotel because uchiha boy really deserves fancy date nights. He were to pick you up at 6:00 PM but he never did. It was 7:15 when you got a text from him saying izumi fell and sprained her ankle. She called him crying and he had to take her to the hospital immediately. The text ended with "she's fine now don't worry. I'll call you in an hour let's see if I'll even make it home today, she really is hell bent on me staying with her tonight " No! Nothing about your dinner date, no apology, no 'I'll make it up for it' He didn't even mention the dinner date. He forgot. Hot tears running down your cheeks as your stomach churned. You've not had anything since morning because of the excitement. The beautiful velvet gown ripping your skin into pieces "I fucking hate you".
Itachi returned home at dawn, eyes heavy from lack of sleep. Trying to find the keys while on the porch he remembered the date. He was supposed to pick you up for dinner last night. "Ah! She must be really upset" he mumbled. Entering he came face to face with an absolute messed form of you. Mascara running down your cheeks dried and heavy. Eyes red and swollen as you opened your mouth, " I'm sorry Itachi i cannot do this anymore. " that's all you spoke before getting up and trying to leave the room. The Uchiha looked surprisingly shocked. " I know I've upset you my love but I don't quite comprehend what you meant by that ?" He asked voice laced with anger. " I mean I can't fucking pretend I'm happy with you, you're being inconsiderate towards me and my feelings, past month you've barely asked me if I'm okay! All you care about is your goddamn izumi. I am fucking done with you Itachi Uchiha, I don't want to be with you anymore and I am leaving right fucking now! " you yelled till out of breath. The Uchiha tried stopping you, reasoning with you saying stuff like "baby she needed me she was in pain" or " you know I have no romantic interest in her" but you were too exhausted to hear.
Third day after the unofficial breakup you did what had to be done. Wore a red mini dress with a deep sweetheart neck. Tight on all the right places with indecent amount of cleavage put to show. Your stomach burned with guilt and nervousness but one drink and it was all good. At the bar you met Kakashi who looked extra hot today. " fancy meeting you here " you slid beside him, for a moment he scanned you top to bottom, then replied " glad I am or would've missed seeing you look so sexy in that bodycon. " a lot of drinks and a lot of flirting led to him taking you by surprise for a kiss. You closed your eyes and thought of a certain black haired guy. Kakashi's lips were soft and he was definitely a great kisser but it all came to an end when you felt a familiar chakra. He was here and it's no good if he sees you making out with kakashi. You pulled apart " it was a mistake kakashi I'm so sorry " you mumbled and silver haired man looked confused but smiled and let you go. Why'd you let him go? Why was itachi here and even if he was....you guys were no longer together you could do whatever you felt like doing. "Ugh too much for a night gotta sleep" you mumbled as you got yourself and uber and went home. Reaching, you realised door was unlocked...
" Hello my little slut " itachi hissed as you went inside. He was in the kitchen sharpening a knife. " Oh! Don't worry this is for the man who had the honour of touching you first and last time" voice laced with spite.
" Don't even try itachi keep kakashi out of this "
" pretty little slut scared for her new play toy? Did you forget who I am? Do I have to remind you? " He moved a step closer then another step.
He got you in a tight grip, hands held to the back, face pushed to a wall. " so baby, tell me who do you love? " He said as his hands travelled through the mini dress and reached you ass. He spanked you hard on the right cheek earning a big whine from you.
" answer me!" Another slap.
" you ,I love you " you cried as another slap hit you hard.
" Good girl, who's slut are you? Who owns you ? " another slap
"Y-you" you whimpered
" Will you ever in your life pull this stunt again my angel ? "
"N-NO itachi please it hurts so much stop " you cried again, eyes welled with tears.
" I will stop once you realise YOU'RE MINE, JUST MINE! and if you hoe around I will punish your sorry little cunt and you will let me. I will make you come 10 times and fill you up with my semen so much that you'll forget anything but me and my cock. Am I making myself clear here ? "
"Ye-yes sir!" You stutter as the final slap hits your right cheek. Pussy dripping wet from all the arousal.
" don't think I'm done yet love.....you're going to pay a lot more than just some spanks for the little stunt you pulled......... "

Hi I love your blog! Do you take requests currently? If so can you write about kakashi with a reader that’s a switch, someone who can be both sub and dom. It can be something short or anything you want it would be great thanks <3
Relaxation is so overrated
Tumblr media
pairing: Kakashi x female! reader
warning: smut, riding, cunnilingus, fingering, switch, no protection.
.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*
A/N: this is a bit short, and it might be that good. I apologize in advance for that. my requests are still open, and you are more than welcome to send in more requests. I will try my best to meet your expectation I hope you enjoy it.
Kakashi finally had a day off. The only thing that was running in his mind was you. He didn't have to stress about taking care of his team or carry out missions. He was peacefully resting right now. He laid his head on your lap as you ran your hand through his hair.
“Darling.” he called you. You hummed in response.
“I want you.” he whined.
“‘Kashi, sleep. You only have a day off once in a blue moon. You should relax your body, not make it more tired.”
“Who said having you will make me tired. It gives me adrenaline and serotonin. Anyways, relaxation is so overrated.” with that being said he tugged on the waistband of your pants. You gave in and you lifted your hips so it would be easier for him to remove the pants and underwear.
“Hands up, darling.” he commanded. And you obeyed. He removed your t-shirt which was technically his. He grabbed you by your thighs and pulled you down slowly so that you were lying down now.
He placed pecks of kisses on your thighs. Pecks of kisses turned into violent and teasing kisses. Your thighs were covered with marks now.
You had the perk of seeing Kakashi's face without the mask however long you want. Because he is so comfortable around you, he never wears it at home when he is alone with you.
For five deep minutes he admired how beautiful you were. He scanned you from top to bottom. His eyes were filled with disbelief that you were his.
He slapped your pussy making you moan. He caressed it before slapping it once again. Then with no warning two of his fingers were inside you. You grabbed the bedsheet for grip. He twisted and twirled his finger taunting you endlessly. Your eyes automatically rolled back. You whimpered and moaned under his touch.
Within a few quick seconds his fingers were replaced by his mouth. He was devouring you out. It was exactly what he was craving for. You came undone on his tongue. He licked you clean. He looked at you with a wicked smile.
You extended your arms inviting him in for a hug. He fell on top of you with his head on your chest. You rolled over. He was under you and you were on top of him.
“Let me take care of you now.” you said. You tore his black vest. You traced his chiselled abs. With your hands on his abs, you slowly started to grind on his hard on. He was still wearing his pants. He wanted to be inside of you.
“Hands on my hips, kakashi.” you ordered him to do it.
“Yes, mam.” he said, gripping your hips tightly.
You moved down a bit to remove his pants. The pants stood half way on his knees. You took his erected cock in your hands and drove inside your opening. Kakashi let out a low moan. You rode on him taking your own time. You grew intense and picked up a fast pace as time passed. Kakashi and yourself were flushed from the moment of passion. You both cherished every single moment of this.
“Do you like that, hun?” you cried out.
“Yes, milady.”
“Who's my good boy?”
“Me.”
For a good 15-30 minutes, you rode on him. He gasped as cummed inside you. Few seconds later you came too. You collapsed beside him. He tugged his pants off completely. He put his cock inside to keep it warm. You pulled a blanket over you two. You cuddled and fell asleep.

Request/Writing Rules 🫐
Tumblr media
Requests are open :3
I default with gender neutral (gn!) reader. Using they/them pronouns, and no proper description of a body and that sort. If you want something specific, please specify. If it is NSFW (smut wise) please specify their biological gender, and pronouns if you don’t want them referred as that. If you do not specify, I will do what I think fits the plot, or I will try to go by your profile if it’s a non-anon request. (Please don’t be offended if I do that, and I default it to something you didn’t want.)
I will write;
-character x reader
-character x character
-character x oc
-oc x reader
-male x male
-female x female
male x female
polyamory
Absolutely anything basically.
Tumblr media
Fandoms/Things I write for,
(Not including literal children.)
Oc’s/No specific fandom.
Overwatch
Genshin Impact
Valorant
Humanoid! FNAF (I am not writing an entire robot love story, no thank you.)
Danganronpa
My Hero Academia
Naruto
Bungo Stray Dogs
Re:ZERO
The Seven Deadly Sins (anime)
Fullmetal Alchemist
Tokyo Ghoul
Hunter X Hunter (no smut unless aged up/the adults)
Haikyu!!
Sword Art Online
Fairy Tail
Jujutsu Kaisen
In Another World With My Smartphone
How Not to Summon a Demon Lord
Black Clover
So much more, but these are what comes to mind. Literally just ask and if I don’t know it I’ll say so, or I’ll watch it.
Tumblr media
Things I write about,
Angst happy ending and not happy ending
Fluff
Hurt/Comfort
Smut (I will write kinks, specify what. Also specify top/bottom or I’ll make the judgment, and biological gender if it is a reader insert.)
Any combination of those
Polyamorous relationships
AU’s (Specify.)
“Yandere”
Omegaverse (Preferably specify if you want a certain character to be a certain role. If not, I will make judgement myself.)
Mental Health
Age-Regression (Not sexual.)
Dark and heavy topics
Just ask if you do not see your topic here, and you’re unsure if I write it.
Tumblr media
Things I won’t write,
Pregnancy (It makes me kinda uncomfortable, I’ll write with kids and stuff but I won’t write actual pregnancy.)
Breastfeeding
Vomit/Scat kinks
I have no idea, just don’t be extremely odd or disgusting.
Tumblr media
Extra/Other,
Are you unsure how to ask for a request, or don’t know how to word it? Here is an example to go off of. Using something random as an example.
“Hey, may I have a Sakura from Naruto x f!reader, where they go on a date to the ramen shop? I think it would be fun if after they went home, and it was a lot of fluff.”
“Can I have a Kankuro from Naruto x reader smut where he uses his chakra strings to make the reader do whatever he wants? Female body reader please!”
“Can I get some drabbles about how Kakashi, Gai/Guy, and Asuma would treat a sensitive male reader in a relationship? Smut and fluff! Thank you.”
“I think Rock Lee would simp so hard over a reader who is taller than him, can you write some fluffy drabbles about that?”
I hope that might help you if you’re feeling confused, if not give it your best shot and I’ll do my best too. I of course will reply to requests that look nothing like that, they are just guides if you’re confused and have no idea.

Hey! How are you doing? I saw that your requests are open and I was wondering if you'd be willing to write something smutty for Jiraiya? Maybe he comes home to his girlfriend and they've been missing each other so much? Thank you so much ❤
Hi, Nonnie! I am okay. Got COVID over the weekend and despite being triple-vaxxed, it totally kicked my ass. Am slowly getting over it. I hope you're doing good! <;3.
Not gonna lie, I saw Jiraiya's name and blacked out. This was the result. Hope you enjoy! (I am tagging @sneetsnoot because we share this Jiraiya obsession lol)
Title: Eight Hours & Sixty Days 🍋
Pairing: Jiraiya x f!reader
Warnings: Size kink, "Daddy" kink, age gap, praise, orgasm denial, dumbification, female masturbation, unprotected sex, cookie monster!Jiraiya, soft dom!Jiraiya, slight infantilization, aftercare
Word Count: 4.5k
Tumblr media
Eight hours and sixty days. Eight hours and sixty days since Jaraiya the Gallant last kissed you, last touched you, last talked to you; but to you - as you watched the sixtieth sun disappear behind the horizon, as the sky faded from navy to black, as the snow turned blue from the absence of the warm glow of the brightest star - it may as well have been a lifetime. You sighed, releasing the heavy ball and chain that tugged at your heart, as you stood from the chair on your balcony and entered into your little apartment.

For the event , can I please get #7 of the smut prompt with shikamaru and a female reader?
Ally, you deserve so much better than me! 🥺 I am so sorry this took me forever. Obviously I didn’t plan this event very well lol. I am hoping the length of this one will make up for how long this took me.
Hopefully you like it! 🖤 I had a lot of fun writing it, and it’s actually my first NSFW for Shikamaru! I know, crazy. Oh, and as we discussed in our DMs, this has Prompt 10 since Prompt 7 was taken!
Words: 3.5k
🍋 Prompt: “Oh, how we’re going to hurt each other.”
Warnings: NSFW, enemies to lovers, semi-public sex, closet sex, oral (f!receiving), wall sex, unprotected sex. Mentions: Sasuke, Ino, Naruto, and Sakura (NaruSaku)

I hope this is ok, again congrats!!!
Hi! Thank you so much! 🥺 You are too sweet.
You can propose anything with Kakashi. 😏 I, once again, went feral writing for my favorite Sensei... lol. I hope you enjoy and thanks again for requesting something!
P.S. Sorry I am kind of mean to Genma?

The fire’s flame flicked across your neck, hugging each curve delicately the way he wished he could as you leaned in to the chestnut haired man next to you, your plump lips curved into a cunning smile with wild eyes, like little monsoons. Kakashi convinced himself the reason he was burning up was due to the large bonfire just a few feet in front of him, but the longer he glared at the way Genma’s hand rested over yours on your knee, he wondered if he was being completely honest with himself.

Rain Rendezvous ☁️

Pairing: Sasuke x f!reader
Warnings: fluff, mentions of adult content, minor NSFW hints, soft sasuke, minor heartache, comfort fic, slow burn
Word Count: 6.5k

Sasuke cursed under his breath as he ran along the muddied, contorted path. The field surrounding him was pitch black, the only illumination coming from the chaotic bursts of lightning in the distance, showing that this long forgotten path was leading him to one of the smallest villages he had ever seen.

My #1 post of 2022
Hear me out… Dilf!Nanami who is obsessed with your tight little babysitter pussy, who can’t help himself from tasting you when he comes home from work to find you cleaning dishes in his kitchen. Those thigh-high socks are for him, right? That short skirt is so he can glimpse your peachy butt when you bend just a little too far over the counter, yeah?
Dilf!Nanami who is going to force you to answer that call on your phone whilst he eating you out like a starving man. Who is going to have you gushing on his mouth whilst you explain to your boyfriend that you’ll be home late…
Dilf!Nanami who is never going to let you go now he has tasted you on his tongue.
🧁 anon
Oh my lorddddd, 🧁 Anon... You have truly slayed me!
I am sorry this took so long. I wanted to make this into a full fic but I think my headcanon format will work best for this one. <3. This is my first time writing for everyone's favorite Daddy, so hopefully I portrayed him well.
NSFW beneath the cut - Minors DNI!
Warnings: NSFW, cheating, oral (f!recieving), finger sucking, dilf!Nanami
This truly was never his intention.
Had he admired your body from afar for months now? Yes.
Did he torture himself every day by imagining the way his teeth could drag your cat-patterned panties down your thick thighs? Yes.
Did he often find his hand wrapped around his cock after you called him 'Nanami-san' at the end of your shift, your voice all sleepy and raspy due to the short nap you took on his living room sofa? Again, yes.

It’s Alright Little One
(Kakashi x Black Female Wife) Part 2/2
Requested by @feelingsandemotionsnotexplored
Word Count 594
Parts: 1 2
Note: Posted from my phone. We die like wo(men)! 💪🏾
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
[Y/N] is laying on the living room couch with ear plugs in while napping. Guruko is snuggled comfortably between her legs. She was up all night taking care of Guruko who'd gotten a few nasty splinters in his back paw. It took her nearly two hours to get all the pieces out and she was only now taking a well deserved nap in the afternoon.
The rest of the pack is spread around the room napping or chewing on toys in a large circle. [B/N], now seven months old, and Kakashi are sitting in the middle. He has their baby sat across from him while holding their tiny hands attempting to teach them how to clap. They're almost catching on but keep slapping his arms or face instead.
Kakashi whispers, “okay one more time.”
He takes their forearms in his hands again and gently pats them together.
“Boop, boop, boop. Pat, pat, pat. Who loves to clap? We do!”
[B/N] happily babbles along with him and wiggles side to side. Kakashi rolls their hands together to start the song again.
“Boop, boop, boop. Pat, pat, pat. Who loves to clap? We do!”
[B/N] sings along with him and lets out a bright "Mrraaaahhh!" at the end.
Uhei's head and ears perk up at the sound, which draws [B/N]'s attention. They stare at each other for a while with Kakashi carefully watching the exchange. [B/N] begins to gently tug their arms out of his grip while curiously staring at Uhei.
Kakashi catches on and let's go. He reaches towards his wife and gently wakes her.
"Wha-?" She's cut off by Kakashi's finger on her mouth. Her gaze follows his hand as he points towards Uhei and [B/N]. The latter now crawling and baby talking towards the ninken. He's laying as still as a statue when she gets closer. The entire room is silent--focus zeroed in on the pair.
Their child stops just in front of his paws. They begin to poke at his right one before trying to lift it. Uhei lifts his paw to help them, but has to slowly pull it away when they try to put it in their mouth.
[B/N] makes a disgruntled sound and tries with his other paw. He pulls away again, and they protest louder.
This time they go for his face. Luckily, they aren't pulling his lips too hard but he knows better. If he did anything bad Kakashi would force him to train for hours. Not to mention [Y/N] throwing a major fit.
"Uhei, lower your head!" Bull growls out from behind him.
He does as told and [B/N] smiles, truly smiles at him. Unlike the first time they met, they look overjoyed. Uhei loves this amount of unbridled affection towards him. His tail softly wags and [B/N] starts pounding a hand in time with his tail.
He sniffs their face and puffs air into their ear causing [B/N] to giggle. His tail wags harder in response.
They watch his tail and start to hit the ground with both of the hands this time.
"Are they going to…" Kakashi trails off as [B/N] moves from hitting the ground to their thighs.
It feels like they are all watching the scene in slow motion. [B/N] brings their patting hands up to their torso, then to their cheeks.
Kakashi and [Y/N]'s eyes widen as their adorable baby starts to clap with Uhei's tail and babbling happily.
The room erupts in cheers.

chapter 6: Kiss
pairing: Kakashi Hatake x female reader
warnings: angst, PTSD, anxiety, night terrors, Obito is very broken, fluff, overthinking reader, mentions of alcohol, Kakashi being a consent king at heart, SFW (for now…)
wc: 2.5k

Meanwhile, things aren’t quite adding up. There is a discrepancy in the records that cannot be explained, and it falls to you to investigate. Never did you expect it would lead you to the door of the Hokage’s office, a man you had admired from a safe distance until now. What happens next leads you into a closely guarded secret that will change the rest of your life.
In a story where the past might be harder to let go of than usual, can two strangers find a semblance of happiness and peace?

Tumblr media
Too late. He was always too late.
What had been a source of almost playful defiance in his youth had turned into some of his greatest regrets in life. Why couldn’t he get there in time? Why did he have to watch whilst those he loved were cut down because he couldn’t reach them quickly enough? Was it fair that he finally realised he was being used by those far more evil and manipulative than he only when he was knocking on death’s door?
Regret and confusion muddied together, painting a kaleidoscope of negative emotions into a hellscape designed for his personal torment. Looking down, his hands were stained in a blood so dark it was almost black. It crusted around his fingertips and stained the sickly white pallor of the skin beneath.
It was Rin’s blood.
He knew it with certainty. Her body wasn’t here, nothing was except him and the howling wind that wrapped around his body. The cold struck him, spreading out from the centre of his chest and filling every corner it could reach. It was a poison, a sickness.
Flashes of memories obscured his vision like fireworks. Blinded by brilliant white lights that stung more than his eyes, and then he was drowning. His chest was tight–a metaphorical band of steel encased his ribcage, squeezing with any attempted inhale. Obito clawed at his throat with his sullied hand, painting the column of his throat in a liquid far more akin to inky black oil than crimson blood.
Panic gripped his heart. Yells, screams and the death rattle of his victims filled his ears. He was drowning yet there was no water. He was blood-spattered yet there was no body. It ended as suddenly as it had begun.
He could breathe, and he did, inhaling great pulls of air into his starved lungs. Obito coughed, again and again. Tears blurred his vision, streaking down his cheeks and dripping fat drops from the tip of his chin. He shut out what he could, closed his eyes to the marks covering his hands, and he felt it, a hand beneath his elbow. It was warm where everything else had been frigidly cold. Small and delicate fingers touched him without shuddering in repulsion.
“He’s moving on… why can’t you, Obito?”
It hurt. Fuck, it hurt. Obito blinked, awakening not to the hellscape he had been trapped in, but to a different type of prison. One he had willingly locked himself into. His bedroom was threadbare, but he liked it that way. Comforts were for those that deserved them, and he didn’t. He had refused every offer of a comfortable bed over the years, deciding it unnecessary. As long as he had a place to curl up and fall asleep, that was all that mattered and honestly, he had slept in worse conditions.
Carefully, he raised his arms and inspected his hands. There was no blood to be found, only the white skin of a man who had betrayed everyone in the pursuit of something futile. Did he have to be reminded of his mistakes every moment, not even safe in slumber?
Obito had long since learned that crying was a part of his penance. He was accustomed to the sensation of his throat feeling tight and rubbed raw from the thick emotions that did their best to choke him. He sat up on his thin futon, drawing his knees to his chest and resting his cheek on top.
Rin…
She had come to him, and not for the first time. The message was different, and he knew it was likely born of what was currently transpiring down in Konoha between Kakashi and this woman who was digging into the strange case of a man who had seemingly died twice.
It was barely 10pm he realised, glancing at the clock on the wall. Was something wrong? He didn’t know for sure, but he would hazard a guess that whatever ridiculous sentiment bonded him to his old friend was awakened because something was indeed happening–whether it be good or bad.
“He’s moving on…” Obito nodded. Kakashi, the man who had been closely guarded with his feelings and his heart since he was a child was letting someone inside his barriers. It still sounded like a joke.
He couldn’t decide if he was happy for him or jealous. The latter would be typical of him, but of which part? That Kakashi could move on with his life or that someone had been good enough in his eyes for him to even try? What woman could possibly turn the head of the legendary copycat ninja?
Sure, it was no secret that the man in question was a romantic at heart, perhaps with a touch of perversion given his reading material over the years, but it had never translated into reality, and Obito would know. For years he had watched from afar, hidden in his various guises and wondered why Kakashi continued to resist temptation. He found out the reason not until they reunited and buried old grudges.
Kakashi couldn’t bear losing someone close to him… again.
He chewed absently on his fingernails, lost in a maelstrom of the past and present. Obito was a part of the reason that Kakashi had closed himself off, he hadn’t been the ignition, but he still held a starring role. He shouldn’t be jealous, but jealousy was not rational. It didn’t listen to logic or abide by the rules of reason.
“... why can’t you, Obito?”
The hand of friendship had been extended so many times when he didn’t understand why he was being given the opportunity, and now, he had a shot at a second chance. Why couldn’t he take it?
So many questions and he didn’t have the answer to any, or any that he would admit to. Deep down in his withered heart, there was the small boy he had once been. The boy who longed for meaningful connections and love. The boy who had dreamed that he would be Hokage one day but had fallen for the trickery of the wicked and became the furthest possible iteration of what it meant to be worthy of the title of Hokage.
Redemption. It was offered like the leafy stem of an olive branch. If only he would reach out and take it, wrap his fingers around it carefully and allow himself the chance at a moment of peace. Wouldn’t it be nice to not be endlessly pursued by his demons? Obito sobbed quietly, the sound carrying only because the night around him stood still and silent as if it was watching—waiting—for what might happen. He was in a bubble of his own despair. A prison that was locked tight, but he alone held the key.
Like Kakashi, he could choose to overcome his fears and look to a future that wasn’t purely miserable. The fear of the unknown was daunting, and he knew that not everyone would be swayed by the words of their Hokage but he could understand that. Truly, it was not the unknown that scared him the most, it was the fear of being accepted. To be accepted despite everything he had done. All the pain and suffering he had inflicted on others. The people he had killed in his pursuit to achieve the impossible, the loved ones sent to their graves before their time. How could anyone look him in the eye and shake his hand after that?
He was broken.
So why did he hope that Kakashi wouldn’t give up on trying to fix him? Obito lay his head against his thin pillow and sent a silent prayer that he didn’t believe would be heard. He prayed that his friend had more strength than he, that whatever was happening with this woman would not leave him as bitter as Obito was. He deserved happiness.
~
You were scared. He could see the emotion swirling in the dark hues of your eyes, it mingled with the desire that was also present but the fear was threatening to overwhelm the other. Kakashi wouldn’t take what wasn’t willingly given. He wouldn’t push, but he would question it.
“What are you thinking about?”
His voice was barely a husky whisper, warm breath fanning your face and you licked across your lips whilst your eyes rose from his mouth to his eyes. So many things. You were drowning in thoughts, and honestly, you could use a moment of silence to gather your wits. For once, you spoke without running the words through your internal monitor.
“I’m thinking that I want to kiss you and that you want to kiss me, but–”
To be damned with whatever the but was going to be, you were correct, he did want to kiss you and he was going to.
Kakashi’s thumb caught beneath your chin to tip your face up and before you could blink, he kissed you. His lips were cool–pleasantly so–and so damn soft that it almost didn’t seem fair. Your arms wound around his neck exactly as you had desired only moments before, fingers tangling in the silky silver strands at his nape. His body was warm around yours, his hands respectfully at your waist whilst he offered another taste of his lips and you accepted greedily.
Never had you shared a kiss quite like this. Your brain could not process every sensation and emotion that was lighting up your insides like fireworks. How could you ever hope to express exactly what you felt at this moment? This was the Kakashi Hatake, and you were kissing him. Your lips cushioned his. Your fingers played with his hair and scratched lightly at his neck. Your body that he gently tugged ever closer to his own.
He wanted you.
Kakashi was tender and patient, leading you through a slow dance of kisses that seemed to never end, but the need for air would soon spoil that illusion.
You broke away reluctantly, blinking rapidly and hoping that the world would stop spinning so you could orientate yourself. His expression was pure amusement, lips twitching whilst you uncoiled your arms from their perch and pressed your fingertips to your lips. You savoured the gentle numb sensation of your lips, how they had filled with blood so easily and the lingering taste he had left behind.
“I... oh. We shouldn’t have done that,” you murmured, sounding as breathless as you felt.
“Mm, and why is that?”
“You’re my boss. You’re the fucking Hokage! Shit. I am in so much trouble. Can you just fire me now and get it over with?”
Kakashi chuckled, and dammit if you didn’t want to smack him in the shoulder. Didn’t he get it? This was… the best moment of your life. The thought was inside your head before you could squash it. Burning you alive with its presence.
“I have to go. I’m sorry… you’re so handsome. Shit–I mean, forget it,” you rambled, flushing from head to toe.
Twice in as many minutes you had cursed, and it sounded so perfectly ridiculous from your lips that he couldn’t not smile wider. It was at the moment he lifted his hand to his face to stifle the laughter in his throat that you tried to make a run for it. Kakashi watched whilst your eyes darted to the doorway that led back to the front door, and no sooner than the time it took him to blink, you were moving. Damn, you were fast. But he was much faster, naturally.
Not for the first time, his fingers wrapped around your wrist, but this time he used a touch more force to bring you back to him. Your back collided into his chest with a soft thump, before you turned back to face him. Your eyes darted left and right, anywhere that wasn’t looking directly into his and he couldn’t have that.
“Breathe,” he directed calmly, dropping your wrist and bringing his hand up to your cheek. His fingertips were gentle on your skin, the ghost of a caress that made his eyes darken, and your breathing spike despite his best intentions.
“I am not going to fire you. I wish…” he paused, leaning in to press a tender kiss to your forehead. “I wish you were not assigned with the task you’re working on, but actually, I think everything might work out better this way.”
Your nose scrunched in confusion, Kakashi was talking in riddles. His expression was a mask you couldn’t decipher. For as much as you longed to remain in his gentle hold, you knew that it was more crucial for you to reset your brain and that meant leaving.
You exhaled softly. “Kakashi, I’m not going to even try to understand what you mean right now. I’m too…” You wanted to admit you were falling for him, hard and far too fast, but you conceded in a small half truth for now. “... tipsy to think straight.”
His features sombred with a dip of his chin. The sudden, irrational desire to reach out and boop the little mole near his mouth was overwhelming. Your fingers twitched but you controlled the insane urge by biting the inside of your cheek.
“I shouldn’t have kissed you when you’ve been drinking, I apologise.”
Shit–no! That’s not what you had meant. Oh god, now he was regretting everything and you could feel the ground splitting beneath your feet.
“Wait, no. I swear I didn’t just kiss you because of the alcohol. You’re… well, look at you. I like you, Kakashi. Oh dear.” You really had to go before you said something else you’d regret later.
“If you put it that way…” Kakashi smirked, and you were grateful for it even if it was at your expense. “Can you be in my office at 11am tomorrow? I’ve taken up a lot of your time already and you’ve gotten nothing in return, it’s time I rectify that.”
Oh, you’d gotten plenty alright but you weren’t admitting it. Nodding enthusiastically, you moved towards the door and slipped into your shoes. “Would you like me to walk you home?” He asked, and when you glanced around his mask was back in place covering the lower half of his face. It made you pout but you understood.
“No, it’s okay. I don’t live far and I think I could use the peace, if that’s alright?”
With a final lingering exchange of looks, you bowed your head and stepped into the cool night. Away from Kakashi’s home and away from the bubble of happiness you had enjoyed for the past few hours.
You hadn’t lied, you did need solace from how maddeningly astute he was, but you missed him almost immediately and that was simply insane. It wouldn’t be for the final time this night did your fingers stray back to your lips in memory of the kiss you had shared. What any of this meant… you weren’t sure, but you needed a plan of action and thankfully, that was something you were good at.
It was time to play him at his own game and find out exactly what he wasn’t telling you.
Little did you know that your short trip home was not made alone. Two ninken trailed you discreetly, keeping to the shadows at their master’s instruction and finding your scent very appealing to their sensitive noses.

Shikamaru was, by nature, a very observant person.
It was a skill that he'd honed with years of training and—despite his best efforts to the contrary—hard work. Asuma-Sensei had picked up on his skill-set very early in their training and decided that he should focus on reconnaissance and strategy rather than the physical regiment that SHIELD tended to favor for new recruits.
He'd quickly been assigned his first mission—one that he'd been a pivotal part of despite his older team members initially underestimating his skill-set. They'd been unimpressed by his less-than-enthusiastic attitude, but that impression changed when Shikamaru was able recognized a trap that they'd very nearly walked into.
Now he was praised as a prodigy for surpassing his peers and becoming an agent before most were even halfway done with their training.
He hadn't meant to complete his training so early. It was a pure accident that he was now having to deal with the consequences of—said consequences being way more work than he'd signed up for.
When Sasuke had asked him to come help Kakashi's team with a "shogi-related problem," he thought it'd be a very welcome break from the incessant cycle of mission after mission.
He probably should've known better.
Sakura had explained it to him along these lines: you'd lost your memories due to some sort of shock-based brainwashing. You'd also become convinced that Kakashi was the one who had done this to you; however, the reasons and logic behind this could not be disclosed to him. His only job was to play shogi with you and give you the space to open up and become less resistant to changing and unfamiliar emotions. The supposed result of this would be calming your mind enough that your memories could resurface with more ease than if you were feeling distressed and compelled to shut down.
Sasuke had assured him that he'd done research to back up their hypothesis that this would have any affect on you. Shikamaru was skeptical, but playing shogi beat going on actual missions.
Playing shogi with you was, admittedly, more fun than he'd expected. You picked it up shockingly quickly—probably indicating a past familiarity with it despite your initial confusion at seeing the board and pieces. By the third game, you knew the roles of each piece on the board. By the fifth, you'd already developed a fairly solid strategy. By the twentieth, he was beginning to get nervous that you'd beat him.
It was in between these games that you received visitors.
Sasuke was the first to interrupt Shikamaru's attempt to explain the finer details of the game to you. He swept into the room and very quickly slumped into the empty chair next to your bed. You and Shikamaru paused, looking expectantly at the boy, but Sasuke remained silent. He glared down at his hands, which gripped his knees far tighter than he likely intended. You seemed to be contemplating acknowledging him to break the tension that was slowly seeping into the room, but you closed your mouth after only a few seconds of thought. Then you nodded at Shikamaru, and the two of you continued your game.
Sasuke sat and watched quietly as you improved at an alarming rate. All the while, he remained stoically silent. Even when Shikamaru made an attempt to comment on his behavior, he ignored it and continued to watch the board. After an hour, he stood, nodded once in his first acknowledgement of you, and left.
As strange as the interaction was, Shikamaru preferred the peace of Sasuke's methodical entrance and exit to the storm of activity that followed Naruto into the room the next day.
When his friend opened the door, about six dogs followed in after him. Some settled into different corners of the room, but a few caught sight of you and jumped happily on the bed, licking your face and hands while you sat frozen on the bed, hands stilling in midair as if you'd never been confronted by an excited animal before.
Pakkun was the first to calm himself down. He settled on the bed next to you with a huff, and you hesitantly reached out and scratched his head.
"Oh, that one's Pakkun!" Naruto informed you happily, "and that's Bull, Biscuit, Guruku, Shiba, and Akino. There are two more around somewhere—their names are Ūhei and Urushi."
You took note of the names as the boy listed off them off, looking only slightly overwhelmed by all of the attention. Shikamaru figured that the rapid introductions were overwhelming, though it probably helped that there were no new people to meet. He understood and sympathized with your obvious averseness to the abundance of sympathy that you'd received since being on bedrest. Ino had been very strict in her instructions—no unnecessary movement unless she was there to supervise. Shikamaru wondered if this rule was more for Kakashi's sake than yours—the man's absence was glaringly obvious. Perhaps Ino was enabling his avoidant behavior.
Sakura came in later that same day with a bundle of flowers in her hands. You'd looked at them warily, though the expression softened when the girl poked her head around them with a smile.
"You always liked flowers," she explained when you remained silent. She'd carried them in a vase that was now resting safely on the windowsill. When she turned around, Shikamaru noted that she looked more nervous than he'd ever seen her.
"Thank you," you finally said, looking from the arrangement to where Sakura stood at the end of your bed. She shuffled, clearly unsure of where she should go now that she'd completed her task.
"I can tell you about how we met." Sakura said suddenly, the words rushed, "but only if you want me to! I mean, it could help with your memory. A-and I want to make sure Shikamaru has a break from playing shogi–"
"You can tell me," you interrupted her rambling, giving her a strained smile as you scanned her. Shikamaru caught the hint of lingering fear in your eyes and felt himself unwillingly grow more curious about the situation. Sakura, to her credit, returned it, though Shikamaru knew that she had noticed your hesitancy.
Shikamaru left before Sakura began, assuming that her settling into the chair at your side was his queue to leave. The conversation, while being one that piqued his interest, was also one he knew he was not welcome to hear.
He wandered the halls of the compound aimlessly after his unspoken banishment from your room, strolling through corridors and down halls until he heard Kakashi's familiar voice behind one of the many doors he passed.
"–need to have a contingency plan. We can't be sure that we're safe just because he's not attached to HYDRA anymore. He could act independently."
He perked up at the mention of the organization, pausing next to the door and telling himself that there was nothing inherently wrong with taking a break from his walk. It was simply coincidence that the spot he'd chosen made it much easier to hear what was being said.
"I still think it would be safest to leave her with Ino and cut ties," he heard a different voice say. He thought it sounded like Guy, but the words were so somber that Shikamaru barely recognized his cadence.
There was a long pause, and Shikamaru could feel the tension bleeding through the cracks of the door. He leaned closer, eyes narrowed at the light bleeding into the hall as he strained to hear the rest of the conversation.
"You know I won't do that," Kakashi finally admitted quietly, but with no shame in his tone. Only sheepish conviction.
"I know," Guy responded with no judgement or blame. The two fell into an easier silence. Shikamaru waited for another moment, then continued through the halls.

The day you left, Sakura had been angrier than ever before.
She still wasn't sure if she could hold onto all of it without exploding. The depths of it often felt unreachable, but she would sometimes sit awake and let her hatred for Orochimaru consume her. It was those nights that she could tap into the deep, carnal rage that lingered beneath the surface.
While she was in the Red Room with you, she had seen how strongly you felt things. Despite your expert control over your emotions, when it was just her to witness it, you were more expressive than nearly anyone she'd ever met.
But now, she was not a safe person. She was nothing more than a stranger, and all she saw in your expression anymore was suspicion and fear.
And looking at you for the first time in seven months, she'd felt like she was looking at a shell of your former self.
The night they got you back, she mourned you for a second time.
She knew that you weren't gone. Just...lost. It was up to her and the others to help you find your way back to them.
She just wished she could've done something before you were taken.
No, not taken. When you sacrificed yourself for her. She wished that she'd been strong enough to break Orochimaru's hold for long enough to drag you back home herself.
But she hadn't been strong enough, and now you could barely look her in the eye.
Her failure kept her up at night. It was for her that you'd left. For her that you'd given yourself up to the person you feared most in the world.
You'd done more than enough for her in the Red Room—so much that it would take lifetimes to repay all of the debts she owed you—but this had been too much. No one was worth your life.
And that's what Orochimaru had taken. You had survived, but Orochimaru had taken your life from you in the cruelest way imaginable.
After all of the work you'd done to break his hold, Orochimaru always seemed to come back like a parasite. Now it wasn't just Kakashi that you didn't trust like when you first escaped. It was her. You had no one to hold you steady. No one to support you.
She remembered how that felt when she first got to the Red Room. How isolated she'd been in a place that showed her nothing but merciless and unforgiving cruelty.
She imagined that it had been the same for you growing up in a place like that. And now, once again, you were forced into isolation once again.
Sakura could feel herself spiraling into dark, dangerous territory the longer she pondered on all of this. She wondered again and again what she could've done differently to keep you from leaving, but Orochimaru was smart. It was impossible to keep him from his goal once he set his sights on it.
And at one time, that goal had been her. When he first found her, he saw her as an opportunity for leverage. And becase she was unable to stop him from using her as a lab rat, you were suffering.
A knock on her bedroom door made Sakura jolt where she was sitting on her bed, knees pulled into her chest and and head tucked between them. She blinked at the door, not quite out of her cyclical train of thoughts when the knock sounded again.
"Come in," she finally answered, watching with a small spark of hope as the door opened that it was you coming to tell her that you'd remembered everything. Coming to tell her that you were okay, and that you were staying, and that you were happy—
"Sakura?"
She hated the disappointment that flooded her at the sound of Kakashi's voice. Guilt followed it immediately, and she wiped away the tears gathering in her eyes in an attempt to make herself presentable. When she turned on the lamp next to her bed, she saw Kakashi still in the clothes he'd been wearing that afternoon. He'd probably kept himself up doing busy work to avoid sleeping—a habit that had persisted for the seven months that you were gone. Kakashi took a step towards her bed, eyes full of understanding when he saw the tear stains on her cheeks and redness of her eyes.
"Are you okay?" he asked, taking a seat on the edge of her bed. She swallowed, wondering whether honesty would be better or worse for her mentor, but ultimately deciding that he would be able to tell if she was lying. She shook her head, throat closing as another wave of tears threatened to surface. Choking on a sob, she slapped a hand over her mouth in a fruitless effort to stop the sound. Kakashi lifted his arm towards her in silent invitation.
She launched forward immediately, taking the comfort that he offered greedily. She hugged his waist and took solace in the arm that wrapped around her shoulders in return.
"I'll make him pay," she croaked, gritting her teeth against the anger that surged up once again, "I'll kill Orochimaru myself."
No response came, but Sakura knew that Kakashi shared her sentiments. She had seen his anger herself many times in the past seven months—both for you and for herself. She saw it in his reactions to Orochimaru's name—a tense, silent rage that seemed to permeate through the air. She saw it when he sparred with Guy, who, to his credit, fought back with an understanding of Kakashi that very few people had.
He tried to contain it around her, Sasuke, and Naruto, but they all saw it. There was only so much he could hide from them—especially when they all felt similar fury.
Sakura hadn't seen Sasuke so worked up over anyone but his brother.
"Will we ever get her back?" Sakura asked weakly, pressing herself further into the comfort that Kakashi offered. "What if she never remembers us?"
Kakashi was silent, but his thoughts were louder than any words would've been. Sakura knew that he'd been asking himself the same question since they found you, wondering if your memories were even within reach anymore.
"Then we'll make sure that her new memories of us are even better."

You are safe.
It was not an easy thing to convince yourself of, but it was slowly feeling like a more manageable task. When you'd first woken up in a dark, unfamiliar room with a bullet hole in your chest and no memory of what had happened, you would've laughed at the idea of being safe. You'd been shot, and the perpetrator was likely still close enough to be a threat.
Then you'd woken up a second time with straps holding your wrists and ankles down and a vague memory of Kakashi supporting your body as you fell out of consciousness. Yet the voice in your head that had been continuously screaming danger had become a bit quieter.
That voice had once consumed your mind with its insistence, but not even when Kakashi willingly came into your hospital room did it rise to the same level as before. It didn't incite anything close to the amount of fear that you'd felt when Kakashi—the other Kakashi—had been using you as a lab rat.
Panic, however, had mounted when Ino suggested that she leave you to talk to Kakashi alone. No matter how different this Kakashi seemed from the one you knew, that didn't change the fact that you had no idea who he was. This could've been an elaborate trick meant to lower your defenses.
But if that was the case, then Kakashi was an exceptional actor.
When you met the three younger agents, you were puzzlingly relieved. It was an immediate reaction to the confirmation that they were all safe and unharmed. Your initial confusion because of these feelings slowly dissipated as it became clear how close you had been to them before you lost your memories. And the longer you spent with them, the more familiar they become.
The same was not true of Kakashi. His was the only face that still made you want to run from the room, afraid that he had switched back to his old, cruel self. After the first couple of days, he stopped coming all together.
Ino had told you enough of the truth of what had been done to you that you knew you were missing significant portions of your past. But she'd had a hand in your suffering. Despite the fact that she had tried to help you get through the experiments as painlessly as possible, she'd still helped hold you down.
Your relationship with Ino did not have any trust. She had simply been your most immediate source of survival after Orochimaru abandoned you, and you still had trouble believing anything that she told you.
So when she tried convincing you that the Kakashi who tortured you wasn't the real Kakashi, and was instead a man named Orochimaru, you'd had a very hard time believing that she was telling you the truth out of the goodness of her heart.
Then you heard it from Shikamaru. He told you that he'd known Kakashi for as long as he could remember, and that he saw the man as something of a mentor. And during Sasuke's second visit, he'd broken his previous silence and told you that, no matter what Orochimaru had tried to convince you of, Kakashi was one of the kindest people he knew.
Naruto told you that Kakashi would wait for you to remember him no matter how long it took.
And despite your hesitance to listen to people who were essentially strangers, the look in their eyes paired with your subconscious inclination to trust them made it hard to dismiss their words.
You are safe.
You tried to convince yourself that you were in no danger. To listen to what these people told you and what you seemed to already subconsciously believe. But whenever you heard the sound of the doorknob opening and the quiet squeak of hinges that sounded just a little too much like the ones from that room, you felt terror at the idea that it was Kakashi—the other Kakashi—coming to finish what he'd started.
Constantly waiting for him to enter and finally kill you felt like waiting for a snake to sink its fangs into you.
You are–
It had become easy to lose track of the days and nights with each one that passed in the hospital room. Ino claimed that extended bedrest was to help you recover from your injury despite your continued insistence that you were fine after nearly a week of healing.
You suspected that the decision had more to do with your outburst days earlier than recovery. Especially since Ino had never been this concerned about your injuries when she helped cause them.
Tonight, the hospital room was especially suffocating.
The feeling was enough of a motivator for you to rise to your feet, albeit slowly, and approach the row of windows that lined the wall to the left of the bed. Only moonlight illuminated the courtyard that stretched out on all sides of the compound, but the night was clear enough that you could see the trees on the opposite side of the field. The branches twisted and jerked back and forth as wind whipped through the leaves. The howls and moans that carried to you almost felt like an omen, but you shook the thought away. Most days, everything felt like an omen.
The room was beginning to smother you, and the lingering smell of antiseptic that clung to the bedsheets had given you a days-long headache.
You turned away from the window with a shudder, unable to shake the uneasiness hanging on your shoulders. You hesitated next to your bed; maybe the best thing to do would be to sleep this off. Leaving the room now wouldn't do you any good, but something felt off.
You left the room hesitantly, moving into the dimly lit hallways and looking down either side, not sure exactly what you were expecting. You were tense, and the tightness of your muscles was causing a dull throb to build in your chest. You ignored it and began to walk towards the common area. It was the same path you'd taken the first night, and you felt a twinge of guilt over your actions when you passed the room that you now knew to be Kakashi's.
You paused in front of the door, glancing at it in a moment of consideration. With a sigh, you moved on, brushing away the déjà vu before you could ponder on it for too long.
Something's wrong, a voice in your head insisted, urging you forward.
The kitchen was empty. The only light came from the dim glow of a lamp above the oven. You took a long, careful look around the room as panic began to take root in your chest. You couldn't pinpoint the cause of it, but your gut told you that the feeling was not something to be ignored.
A creak of a floorboard in the hall made you freeze, and you darted to the wall next to the doorway, pressing yourself against it and holding your breath as quiet footsteps made their way towards you. You took a deep, steadying breath when a shadow appeared in the doorway, then lunged from your hiding place when a figure stepped into view. With an arm over their chest and a hand gripping their wrist, you slammed them against the doorframe with a scowl and glared at the surprised, yet somehow unconcerned expression on Kakashi's face.
With a blink, you released your pent-up anxiety in a heavy exhale and loosened your grip on Kakashi's wrist. He waited as your gathered yourself, endlessly patient despite his precarious position pressed against the wall.
"Sorry," you finally murmured, stepping away from him and wiping your sweaty palms on your pants, "I thought you were...someone else."
"Me too."
You glanced at Kakashi questioningly, but he was looking at you with the same expression.
"What are you doing out here?" he finally asked, taking a tentative step into the room, then another when you remained relaxed. "It's late."
You swallowed, wondering if you should voice your concerns to Kakashi. You weren't even sure what you were concerned about. All you knew was that your gut was telling you that something was wrong.
"I felt...something seems off."
"Yeah," Kakashi said quietly, "it does."
So he feels it too, you thought to yourself, closing your eyes with resigned acceptance. The recovery that Ino had been so concerned about would have to be put on hold for the night.
"I feel like someone's watching me," you told him as he strode further into the room. He turned and met your eyes. "Why are you out here?"
"I couldn't sleep," he responded. When he saw you eyeing his mask, he pulled it down to his neck and rubbed a hand over his mouth. "I've been feeling...paranoid these past few nights."
You tried not to get distracted by his now exposed features, but it was hard when they were previously such a mystery to you. Before you came here, you often wondered what Kakashi looked like under his mask. Most of the time, the image you created wasn't very flattering.
But the face that you were looking at now was putting you at ease. Rather than the fear and disgust you always expected to feel in the event that you saw what Kakashi looked like, all you felt now was a familiar sense of comfort and safety.
"How does your chest feel?" Kakashi asked after a moment, nodding at the hand that you were holding over the healing wound. You removed it, attempting to relax your body despite the low throbbing that was slowly spreading to your shoulder.
"Fine," you responded, brushing the question off. It was nothing you couldn't handle. Nothing you hadn't had to deal with before.
It was healing better than other wounds you'd received from supposed allies.
You paused at the image that flashed in your mind. You saw yourself looking in a mirror, shirt torn to expose an ugly wound on the opposite side of the one that was currently healing. The edges of the bullet-wound were puckered and swollen, and the rudimentary stitches you'd given yourself looked like they were doing more harm than good. You felt the phantom touch of your own fingers on your chest, poking and prodding at the stitches in the hopes that they would hold for the remainder of the mission.
You felt for the scar over your shirt, unsurprised when your fingers moved over the uneven ridges of the healed skin.
You reached further for more information, but your mind went frustratingly blank.
A quiet, nearly inaudible hiss broke you from your thoughts. It came from above you, and you ducked down as if a bullet was flying over your head in slow motion. Kakashi started as well, head on a swivel as he searched for the source of the sound.
"The vents," he said with wide eyes as he lifted his mask back over his nose, "don't breath in. Something's being released into the air."
You pulled your shirt over your nose, automatically switching to a more shallow breathing pattern. Your body began operating on autopilot, carrying out subconscious instructions to counteract the speed of the gas's affect.
"Is it just in this room?" you asked quickly, counting the vents the surrounded you, "or is it everywhere?"
The subjects of your concern occurred to Kakashi in the next moment, and he began making a break towards the hall that led to his students' rooms.
He didn't get far before he stumbled, letting out a cough and breathing deeply to try and steady himself. He made another attempt to reach the door, but his legs clearly weren't responding to his desperate commands.
You watched in silence as he struggled, eyes wide as you considered your options.
A large, loud part of you screamed at you to move. It begged you to help Kakashi and go with him to check on his students. To make sure everyone was safe before you yourself inevitably fell victim to whatever was spreading through the air.
But a smaller, yet still strong part of you reminded you of the opportunity that this gave you.
You could kill him here, it said, grinning wickedly at the idea, then all of this would be over. You could leave and forget this place. Forget the pain he's caused you.
It was the same voice that had forced you to stay sane each time electricity ran rampant in your body. It was the voice that had kept you alive through pure, burning hatred.
Hatred for the man who was beginning to give in to unconsciousness, completely vulnerable to attack.
That voice came from deep inside of you. It was the part of you that still didn't believe in the story that Kakashi and the others had told you.
The part of you that still thought of Kakashi as an enemy.
You approached him after a long moment of deliberation, and he looked up with lidded eyes. Despite the lethargy that was quickly taking root in his body, he still recognized the look in your eyes. They held an uncertainty that could only mean that you weren't exactly sure what to do with him now that he was completely at your mercy.
"Make sure," he croaked, swallowing and fighting to catch his breath from the effort of fighting against unconsciousness, "make sure they're safe. Please."
No pleading for his own life. No final request for mercy. With those words, his eyes fell shut, and he went limp.
You stared at him for a very long moment, jaw tight and eyes fixed on his hand, which was reaching towards the hall that he had so desperately tried to reach.
It would be so easy...
After a final moment of hesitation, you knelt at his side and lifted his arm over your shoulder. Despite the pain that it sent to your chest, you hefted a majority of his bodyweight onto your back and shoulders and began dragging him towards his room.
You kicked the door open and huffed, finally beginning to feel the effects of the gas that was still filling the room. You grit your teeth and pushed forward, turning your back to his bed and dropping him rather ungracefully onto the unkempt blankets. With a final, conflicted look at his unconscious form, you slipped from the room and continued down the hall.
A desperate, strained call of your name echoed off the walls, and you turned at the same time that Ino rushed forward, finally spotting you through the haze that the gas was causing.
"Finally," she huffed, "listen to me—I know you don't remember, but this shit that's in the air is something that Orochimaru uses. He's here, somewhere in the building."
Ino must've seen the panic that flashed across your expression, because she began shaking her head, gripping you by the shoulders and giving you a hard shake.
"No. Don't panic. Listen to me—I know you don't remember this, but we used to do training exercises while under the influence of stuff like this. We have a strong tolerance, so it'll take a while for it to slow us down. Even longer for it to knock us out completely. Depending on how much he has, we might even stay conscious."
"You said he's powerful," you countered, voice void of any emotion, "he'll have people with him."
"Not anymore," Ino said with a laugh that almost sounded manic. You felt a twinge of worry and wondered if this gas could have psychological effects, "all he has is Kabuto now. We can take them. We just have to stay awake."
Her voice was becoming more and more strained the longer she rambled. Now that you really looked at her, Ino looked...terrified. You had never seen that expression on the girls face—she was normally so stoic, never letting go of the mask that kept her safe from scrutiny.
Now, that mask had shattered, and you could see through it clear as day. She was looking around wildly, as if Orochimaru would jump from one of the many doors in the hall at any moment.
You wouldn't be surprised if she was having some kind of flashback. A flashback to something that you couldn't remember.
"Ino," you snapped, gaining her attention immediately. She whipped her head towards you, wide eyes searching yours, "Kakashi is already unconscious. We have to get the others to the same room so we can protect them."
A reminder of the four trainees that still remained in the building seemed to get through to Ino, and she nodded firmly.
"Shikamaru is staying on the opposite side of the building, closer to your room," you reminded her, trying to remember the exact location from the explanation that Sakura had given you of the layout of the compound the day before, "go get him and bring him to Kakashi's room. Once we're all in one place, we can make sure Orochimaru doesn't get to them."
Ino swallowed, then nodded again, backing up with a final glance towards Sakura's room before she took off towards the opposite hall.
When she was gone, you turned back towards the first of the three doors in this hall. The first was Naruto's, and though you expected the sight that greeted you, you still felt your fear spike at the sight of the boy unconscious in the middle of his floor. It was clear that he'd tried to get out of the room before it was completely flooded with gas, but he hadn't made it far.
The gas was more concentrated in the smaller space, and you choked on a cough as some of it seeped through the thin fabric of your shirt. Naruto was far lighter than Kakashi, so you had little trouble lifting him over your shoulder and carrying him to Kakashi room. He groaned when you dropped him on the bed next to Kakashi, but his eyes stayed shut.
You closed your eyes and willed the burning in your chest to dull. You could feel your skin pulling at the stitches holding your wound closed and hoped that you'd be able to get everyone in one place before they snapped.
When you reentered the hall, Ino had returned with Shikamaru. She was dragging him with an arm around his waist, nearly buckling under his weight as her strength bled away.
"Watch over them. I'll get the others, and then you can rest."
Ino looked as if she wanted to argue, but closed her mouth when she stumbled under Shikamaru's increasing weight. With a resigned nod and one fleeting, concerned glance in your direction, she disappeared into Kakashi's room.
You grit your teeth when another wave of dizziness hit you, making your body feel twice as heavy as it tried to drag you to the ground. Still, you used the wall as support and dragged yourself to the second door.
Sasuke's room was next, and you gave a frustrated shout when you found his door locked. You stumbled back, wondering if you had enough strength left to kick the door down.
The lock was probably strong—under normal circumstances, a few hits might've been enough, but under the effects of whatever was seeping into your system, it would be a miracle if you got it open at all.
With this fact in mind, you steadied yourself, hands braced on the wall to propel yourself forward in a desperate attempt to get to the boy on the other side.
At the same moment that you launched yourself towards the door, it unlocked with a quiet click.
You stumbled forward, letting out a relieved laugh when the doornob twisted with ease.
You had to give the door a solid shove to get it open. Sasuke was slumped against the other side of it, and you shot forward to keep him from falling backwards into his bookshelf. He was unconscious by the time you got to him, likely having used his last bit of strength to reach the door.
He's a strong kid, you reminded yourself, remembering what Naruto had told you about his friend's determination to become stronger.
Ino was immobile when you deposited Sasuke on Kakashi's other side. Her eyes were half open, and she strained to stay awake to make sure she wasn't caught off guard while you were gone. She tilted her head at your entrance, grimacing when you braced yourself against the doorframe. Her eyes fell to your chest, and you followed her gaze to the blood spreading across your shirt. Again.
"I'm gonna kill you if you rip your stitches again," she muttered, the words barely above a whisper.
"It's fine," you huffed in response, "just one more."
Sakura's room was on the far side of the hall, and you tripped over yourself when you saw pink hair spilling from her room in an unruly mop.
She'd gotten as far as the doorway, and her hands were braced against the frame in what must've been her final attempt to pull herself forward.
Don't pass out, you chanted to yourself, panic beginning to set in as your vision went blurry, not yet.
You stumbled to your knees in front of her, pulling her arm towards you with as much strength as you could gather. Your knees were shaking as you pushed yourself off of the ground, and your arms felt lifeless when you made a desperate attempt to lift her up.
"Come on," you muttered, "come on."
"I won't tolerate your failure," a familiar voice whispered in your ear. You turned towards the sound deliriously, but found the space next to you empty. The voice continued, "and you'll learn not to tolerate it either."
It was the same voice as the one from your dream all those nights ago. The voice of the black-haired man that you now knew to be Orochimaru.
"Now get up," he hissed, his voice emerging from the depths of your mind. The voice surrounded you, feeding you the words like venom, "and prove to me that you deserve to be a Black Widow."
The command was spit at you with a force that should've made you falter, but you felt a welcomed spike of fear-induced adrenaline rush through you. You wrapped a weak arm around Sakura's waist and grit your teeth under her weight, then forced yourself to stand.
When you reached Kakashi's room, you couldn't keep from collapsing to the ground. You wrapped your arms securely around Sakura to cushion her from the fall and slumped back against Kakashi's closed door. It slammed shut behind you, and you reached back blindly to lock it.
Ino was unconscious now, and you knew it wouldn't take long for you to follow her.
If Orochimaru really was in the building, then you suspected that one door wouldn't keep him out, but fighting against unconsciousness was becoming painful now. You felt it pulling at you, making your body heavier and heavier under Sakura's weight.
You hugged the girl closer, shielding her as best you could with your body. After one final glance towards the rest of the room's inhabitants, the adrenaline drained from your body, and the pain in your chest faded as your eyes fell shut.

Hey there! Thank you for the request 🥺🥺 I had a bit of a roadblock with this one simply because I couldn’t think of a prompt, BUT I eventually thought ‘why not write about the holidays’ so I got into a groove with it! Once I got into it, it was a really fun write! I hope that this is what you expected and/or lives up to your expectations!

For some reason, you were in an incredibly festive mood this time around. Maybe it was something about how the gilded sunlight made yours and Kakashi’s home feel more… Well, home-y. Maybe it was the remnants of your food that you’d made earlier for your lunch still lingering around the house, or the kids of the village running around outside of your windows, whether subliminally training or not undeterminable, reminding you of your youth. Time had gone by so fast, and already you’d been in Japan for about two years and a half. You already knew that, in general, the people of the area didn’t celebrate Halloween, and actually it was a week AFTER Halloween would’ve taken place in America, but something about today… Something about today made your festive bone quiver and you decided to do SOMETHING to celebrate.
Since you’d picked up on the shinobi not celebrating American holidays like you were used to, you avoided asking Kakashi about it. Come to think of it, he never really did anything you were accustomed to besides the staring thing; and when you got together he tried to give you food related nicknames. You had to sit down and explain to him why it wasn’t okay and why it made you uncomfortable and then he thoroughly apologized and left it at that. He didn’t really have any nicknames for you, and from research you found that most women in Japan (and men) only go by their given names with -chan/san at the end which was cute, but if everyone had to call you that then it’d lose meaning and it wouldn’t be as cute.
Even still, though, you decided that today would be the day that you participated in the festivities of the holiday season that, in America, would be fast approaching. The only question for you was who you were going to dress up as and suddenly a thought formed in your head as you popped up from the couch and scurried to your guys’s room. You’d dress up as your hero, your boyfriend Hatake Kakashi! He wouldn’t expect it, you’d be able to see how everything fits, AND it’d be cute- at least you thought- and it’d give you something to do so that the crisp, perfect day didn’t go to waste.
You sifted through the closet with eager eyes as you hummed softly, some of your curls coming loose and falling down by your face, your dark brown beautiful eyes twinkling as you pulled out the parts to the outfit he wore from day to day, your eyebrows knitting a little as one corner of your lip lifted a little. “This man, so help me black Jesus,” you whisper softly noticing how much heftier your wardrobe was than his. He had the same outfit to go over about 5 or 5 times, black sweatpants, black shorts, and 3 different headbands all crushed, neatly, together on one side of the closet while your clothing took up the other half. You shook your head and closed the door with your hip once you were sure you had everything you needed for your little plan. You looked it over excitedly, your slender auburn fingers contrasting almost perfectly against the colors of his uniform. “Damn… I never noticed that till now,” you laugh softly as you remove your shirt and start to pull on articles of the outfit, trying to mimic exactly how you saw Kakashi wear his so you didn’t accidentally disrespect him. Of course he only had 2 masks and a shirt with a mask that you’d sewn onto it, and you decided not to mess with any of it. You didn’t want to hide your face at all whatsoever, especially behind masks that might’ve well have been your boyfriend’s comfort items. You had pretty much everything on, the worn out navy blue bringing everything together, the green brightening your pretty almost black eyes. You giggle softly as you look in the mirror and decide to do something with your hair before it dried completely- you’d taken a shower only 30 minutes prior and your hair was a little damp. You scurry off to the bathroom with the bandage and garter in one hand, your yellow hair pik in the other. You looked extremely excited, for once taking a moment to completely love and indulge in yourself. Being in an area where your existence was offensive to others to suddenly going to a place where absolutely nobody looked even close to you was an extreme shift, but Kakashi made it okay, literally brawling with anybody that so much as looked at you the wrong way. You had a small bit of tummy, but he loved that about you; and it’s not like it slowed you down any, made you unreliable, or made you any less attractive than you were. In fact, to some people it wasn’t even really noticeable unless you were wearing certain things. You also had to drop the American style and adopt the Japanese locale and honestly, while that was a HUGE shift, Kakashi helped with that too. Sometimes you’d get yourself in trouble with how you spoke though; that American lingo that’d been generationally passed down to you finding its way showing up and showing out, especially when someone wanted to make fun of your hair, or your physique and compare you to the other local girls, most noticeably Ten-Ten, Lady Tsunade, Sakura, and Hinata. They argued that the more pale girls were more attractive; because you could play in their hair and you wouldn’t have to worry about one slowing you down- at which remarks you stuck the shit talkers to a tree with your kunai for hours after you thoroughly cussed them out and ribbed them a little, telling Kakashi what’d happened so he could go cut them down. On the flip side, the kids absolutely adored you and loved when you were out so they could play tag or ask you unnecessary questions or get some treats from you.
You quick-washed your hair in the sink and started to blow-dry it deciding that you’d give yourself an at home blowout so that you could complete the look. Being the multitasker you were born into being, you found something to prop the blowdryer up while you piked your hair out quickly, smiling as you watched your hair fluff up, watching your coils straighten and then get bigger until it couldn’t anymore. Then it hit you; Kakashi hadn’t seen your hair blown out except once and that was while you were braiding it back and his eyes were fixated on your fingers as he wondered how a person could do that. At this point, your hair was halfway done, and while you let the tool dry your hair even more, you attempted to wrap the bandage around your thigh and it only BARELY made it, your thigh utterly choked in the process. You looked down at your leg and then pensively looked at the garter and decided that wouldn’t fit around your leg and you let out a frustrated sigh. “That man, is fine as fuck, but why he built like a bean pole,” you huff quietly as you let the bandage loose from trapping your thigh before your mind wandered to him. “…. Aight so maybe he got a LITTLE bit of muscle, but we aint talkin’ about that right now,” you laugh softly before looking at your phone seeing that he sent you a text signifying that he was on his way back from training for the day and that he was fine. You smiled cheerily at your text and tilted your head some at yourself, using your pik to fluff your hair out more before you scurried back to your guys’s room and snatched one of his spare headbands up, securing it quickly and tactfully. You looked at yourself in the mirror, your hands coming up and sliding into the arm holes of his navy green vest. You turned to one side, then to the next, then finally you looked at yourself from a front profile and your eyes glistened a little. “You’re… so heroic,” you mumbled under your breath before you heard some clatter coming from outside of the room.
“Oh right… You can do that,” you say as you open the door and watch him freeze completely in his spot, his eyes slowly raking over you from head to toe then back up again, his stoic expression unchanging from what you could tell. “H-Heyy… Honey,” you smile nervously as you wave with one of your gloved hands. He walked towards you and slipped one side of the headband over one of your eyes and then he stifled a soft grunt under his breath.
“It’s Kakashi. We’ve talked about this,” he said softly before he looked over his shoulders, his hands sliding in his pockets again as his back straightened out some. “….Why are you wearing my clothes,” he asked with a slight edge to his voice, meanwhile you were still frozen in place, your legs starting to quiver some. You didn’t know why he was being so cold to you and it made you just a little insecure. “Particularly… Those,” he said as he stared at the wall below the TV you both had, his legs crossed as he leaned back into the couch.
“Damn so you not gonna say ‘hi.’ Or ‘I missed you,’ or nothin’ like that hm? Well… My bad, I guess I’ll just go take it off,” you say softly, the spirit of the day becoming crushed. He mused softly and his head only tilted a small bit. He didn’t even look at you and you noticed this. The whole time you were here… The whole time you were together the only thing you wanted was his eyes on you and his praises. You were struggling and it was on you for the most part because you hadn’t reached out to him for help. He was a real big one for “say what you mean or need,” or something like that. You LOVED the idea behind the last stretch of the year; the days designated for giving thanks, hanging out with the ones you love, amazing food, and gifts, and movies, and music. All of it… But having come from where you had, you never really had good times or a good chance to make memories. Now that you were old enough to have someone of your own and actually be able to create memories, you wanted to… But instead you’d been trying to force it out of your life to make your man happy, however you weren’t having it anymore. You just didn’t know how to bring it up.
“Mm.. What’s-“
Before he could even finish speaking, you’d vanished back into your guys’s room and shut the door behind you. He sat back in the seat and he let out a low drawn out breath and then stood up. Within one second he vanished from the living room and appeared right in front of you with his arms crossed.
“I asked why you were wearing my clothes, not that you had to take them off,” he said as he looked blandly at your hurt expression. “And I was trying to ask what was up with you,” he said as he reached one hand out and gently tipped your head up, his free hand reaching for where your bangs covered your eye but then he stopped as he usually did and he tilted his head some. “May I?” He spoke from behind his mask. You push his hand out of the way and move your hair out of your face by yourself, your sharp eyes peering into his. This time his eyebrows rose a bit more noticeably and usual and he waited for you to talk so he could listen, his hands now in his pockets.
“Yknow… I’ve tried to work what is normal to me out of my system… And when I was younger, that would’ve been… Easier. But now, it’s not… Kakashi, when you don’t look at me it makes me feel undesirable… Because nobody else looks at me unless they’re making fun of how flat and wide my features are… or how damn burnt I look even though this is my natural skin tone! I just… Want you to call me your baby once in awhile damnit! I want to call you *mine* and not just… Ka-ka-shi. Everybody calls you that… And… I get jealous when I see the other people hanging out with you, the cooler people with the sharingan variants, or the cool eyes and the people with the slim builds, or the people with the advanced shinobi skills that are greater than mi-“ You hadn’t noticed that while you were talking, Kakashi pulled his mask down, then you were interrupted with a kiss. It was a soft, but soulful kiss; the kind where one of his gloved hands had you by the chin and the other by the back of your head. The kind where you could feel his body heat completely wrapping you up. The kind where you felt his trembling breath break his completely calm composure. Your hands were gently pressed against the back of his arms, one of your hands at his elbow as he pulled away and allowed his eyes to slowly open. His shadow was cast down onto you and you saw his eyes squint a little, his smile hidden by the mask he’d pulled back up after the kiss. On the other hand, your eyes were wide and your lips were barely parted, your eyes glistening as you looked over his mostly hidden smile. Your knees buckled under you and he helped make sure you didn’t fall, his chest pressed against yours.
“You done?” He asked as he helped you stand upright again. You were dazed just staring at your man and he smirked a little as he pulled his mask down again still standing close to you. “I see… You want everyone to know that you’re mine and vice versa? That’s it? That’s why you’re wearing my clothes today…? You want me to… Call you mine? Right?” He spoke quietly, he was ONLY talking to you, his deep voice getting a little more hoarse as he continued to drone on, his hands on your hips pulling you closer to him, his intense gaze still cast into your eyes. You swallow hard and nibble the inside of your cheek. “You want you to call you my baby? My beautiful, perfect baby girl? Hm? Is that why you’re acting out? Or… You want me to show you that I care more, right? Maybe… You want me to make dinner once? Or bring you flowers? Or watch you train? Or… Cheer you on? Right? Perhaps tease you a little… Or hold you this close all the time?”
You nod slowly and then look away already knowing what this was sort of leading up to but his slender fingers forced your gaze back on him.
“Look at me when I’m talking to you, baby,” he said softly as he tilted his head a little. “If you wanted that… Why didn’t you just say so? I can’t read minds… And I’m still relatively new to this whole… Romance scene,” he said softly as he gently stroked your cheek with his thumb. “You know this. I’m a little… Dense? I’m not sure if that’s the proper word. But…. You’re just… Ugh… I didn’t know that me hanging around people made you jealous- perhaps it’s in my best interest to just tell you how much you mean to me all of the time. You’d want that too, right? I know you would,” he said softly as his fingers gently trailed up your back. “Or… Maybe you want to have a little bit more sex? Is that apart of it?” The question made your eyes wide, skin burn with an invisible blush, and your jaw drop a little. He let out a hollow laugh in turn, gently pushing your jaw up to close your mouth with the tips of his fingers. “Baby steps. I got it. For now, let me just say this: You’re beautiful… All of your scars, curves, marks and all. Those coffee colored eyes of yours are so much more… Stupefying than any sharingan I have seen and will ever see…. The little spark they get when you’re determined, or that soft glisten when you get embarrassed,” he said as he looked over your whole face. “Your body… Your whole body… Is amazing… You don’t have to be slim to be an amazing shinobi; and so help me, my beautiful queen,” he says softly as he leans down so he’s eye level with you. “If you ever discredit yourself like that again, I’ll work you out so that you’re not able to move for the next week. You’re right on the fast track to be a fine shinobi- possibly even the greatest at that. Well… Not greater than me, but that’s another story and another conversation,” he said quietly as you were pushed back onto your bed while he stood over you. “Are those idiots getting into your head again?” His eyebrows furrowed a little as his hands slipped back into his pockets.
Finally you were able to find your words again and you crossed your legs out of habit. “Y-Yeah… For… Like… The past 3 weeks they’ve been telling me that I’m too slow… Or I’m too… Wide… Or making fun of me and my eyes, or making fun of how dark I am… Or making fun of my hair! My damn hair! It hurts… A lot… And we’re together, but I don’t want to be known as that abnormal girl that calls on her boyfriend every time she needs saving. I got it… Aight? I can handle that… But… That’s why I need YOUR praises…. To validate me I guess… I already know I’m THAT… girl… But I want to hear it from you… I want you,” you mumbled softly. “And the reason I’m dressed up like this is because I’m dressed up for Halloween- In America it’s a day where people dress up and do their makeup and hair and have fun at parties or go trick or treating to get candy and stuff! I’ve always loved it despite not being able to… Participate much,” you say softly as you rub your arm. “I dunno, I guess I just wanted to celebrate the holiday season this year- even if we never do it again, I at least want one memory of a great holiday season with mine… With you,” you say softly. He listens to everything you say with an opaque grin on his face.
“If that’s what you wanted, then why didn’t you just say that?” He said softly as he climbed over you, his hips barely resting in your lap as your heart skipped a beat. He pushed you to lay down on the bed and his hands rested right by your head, your eyes peering up at him with a soft grin rested on your face.
“I-I d-didn’t w-want to get told no… I d-didn’t want to… Bother you with something that seemed so insignificant… I didn’t want you to think of me as weak,” you say softly as he gently kisses your neck. You shuddered a little and bit your lip as you tilt your head up some.
“Well now’s your hot seat,” he huffed quietly against your neck. “Tell me what you want, tell me everything you want, and I’ll do it until you tell me that you don’t want it anymore,” he said as he looked back into your eyes, your hands rested against his chest as you thought for a moment before speaking again. “W-Well… I want you to call me your baby and vice versa… Or come up with a nickname or something… I want you to watch me train and root for me, I want you to let everyone know who I belong to, but allow me to show who you belong to, too… I want you to tease me and hold me close… Everywhere… I want you to go on dates with me and do holiday stuff with me… I want you to make me feel wanted and loved… I just fucking want *you* Kakashi…” you say softly as you look up at him. Upon gazing, you notice that his expression had soften significantly, and the hold he had on you was more protective than ever. “A-And I guess more s-sex would be cool,” you say softly and he chuckles quietly in return. You reach one of your hands up and gently cup his face, your thumb gently caressing his cheek. “You know… You should smile more… You’re quite handsome when you do… Well I mean you’re fine as hell either way, but I like it when you smile… And laugh like that…” you say softly as he leans his head into your hand a little more. He kisses your clothed palm and smiles just for you and suddenly you took on a breathless expression, your eyes halfway open as he blushed a little and you just took this moment to adore him, everything about him. “That’s what you want from me? Okay,” he said softly before moving to pin your hand weakly to the bed above you, his eyes both gazing into yours- well as much as he could anyway seeing as your hair practically swallowed your face leaving your bottom half of your face exposed for him. You could see him just fine, he just couldn’t see you… And for the moment that was fine. His gentle lips pressed against yours from above and your eyes fluttered shut as usual when this happened. You felt a little touch starved because he didn’t like contact very much, but he was warming up to it a little more. You wrapped one of your arms around his waist and pulled him closer, and then the two of you melted into each other on the bed in a fit of grunts, deep, passionate, soft kisses, dulcet giggles coming from the both of you, his hand wandering up your waist up the natural curve of your body as yours tried to find where his clothing allowed you access to his skin. You found it, your warm fingers contrasting against his lukewarm skin. He jolted a little and let out a groan before looking at you again, nibbling your lip gently before he pulled away. “You’re amazing,” he whispered quietly and breathlessly against your lips as you tried to control your breathing again.
“Says one of the most notable and historic ninja warriors of all time,” you say with a soft chuckle, moving your hair out of your face so you could look at him and so he could look at you.
“You know… Paths like that carry plenty of… Skeletons in the closet, right?” He said softly as his gaze intensified only a little bit.
“Yeah, and? You still made it… Everyone looks up to you… You’ve killed people and seen plenty of your own killed… And people that couldn’t handle it… Y’know… But, Kakashi Hatake,” you say softly as you turn his head back towards you and your own expression hardens a little. “No matter what, I’ll still love you like the day that I met you… Just like that day you first came to protect.. Well the other person- after they were bullying me… After you checked to make sure I was okay… Baby I love you, and as long as you love me too, I’m gonna be on your side. I’m your woman- I’m your queen, right? A queen needs her partner in royalty, and this house is our kingdom. You’re my king, and unapologetically mine… And I’m the same for you,” you say quietly as you sit up and smile a little. “I know you haven’t been sleeping, Kashi,” you say softly as you gently kiss his lips. “I’m not a super heavy sleeper… You’re safe now, though,” you say softly as you run your fingers through his hair. “Let me go make dinner tonight and… C-Can I decorate?” You whispered softly, expecting a no as you turned and gently pushed him to make him lay on the bed and he chuckled softly, gently grabbing your hand.
“If decorations are what you want, then I don’t have a problem with it,” he said softly, kissing the back of your hand gently. Your skin burned with an invisible flush and you pulled the covers up on him, trying to make the room just a little more homey so that he could sleep better.
“I… Wow… Um… Okay,” you say softly, lighting a candle and setting it on the nightstand, standing in the doorway. “I d-don’t know if I said this already, but I’m gonna make a hot pot for dinner… And I’ll go see if there are any pumpkins in the area… I’ll make us some pumpkin bread and make some cookies for the kids,” you say with a beaming smile, looking at your sleepy man who was already cuddling a pillow on his way to sleep. He admired your soothing voice, able to relax for the first time in a long time, and how the golden sun gave you a gilded glow that made your skin twinkle and your eyes illuminate the room. He had never felt so lucky to have someone as good as you to him, and that was the last thing he saw- or thought- before he slipped off into dreamland and you disappeared behind the door to excitedly start dinner.

Tumblr media
His arms crossed in front of his chest - wall holding the weight of his back. His eyes casted a harsh gaze upon your body that panted on the dry hard ground.
“Get up,” his voice thundered despite the calmness.
The engraved knife, of your former trainer, you threw stuck in the side of a tree just missing your new sensei by the shortest hair. He didn’t flinch. Not even a slight twitch of the eye.
Tears soaked in your mask that matched Kakashi’s, “there’s no fucking point! I told you I quit…I’m done.”
“On your feet y/n. I won’t repeat myself.”
“Sensei,” you sat on your knees, “let’s stop this. Please. Your not him and this is not working. I’m going ho-”
Your breath was caught in your throat and his hand roughly squeezed your cheeks. Even through the mask you saw seriousness smeared on his face.
It could’ve been anger or the summer heat but the exposed skin beat red, “you think I don’t know that. Before my father passed he made me promise to get his only kunoichi in shape to become Hokage.”
“Start over or else.” He pulled you to your feet.
“I’m sorry but no.”
“I said start ov-,” wind was knocked from your chest almost immediately. You cracked your eyes open seeing him just as surprised as you. It took a second to feel his lips against yours. Only barrier being your masks.
“Are you trying to piss me off?” you maneuvered your leg from his weight allowing his waist to slip between your thighs. Relieving pressure from your limb. Heat sprung around your head.
“I tripped,” he slowly slid both your mask down pressing his lips to yours, “let’s finish our training somewhere more secluded yes?”
You nodded lightly following Kakashi further into the woods to a not so abandoned, ‘abandoned’ training ground. Little did either of you know someone lurked in the forest.
Shikamaru. He’d always watch you specifically, since the beginning of your training with Kakashi. Thinking today was like any other he tailed behind you two.
You dropped to your knees eagerly following his directions as he undid the button of his pants. His pink tip rubbed around the inside of your cheek. Excitement dripped out of you through your core.
“So this is all I had to do to make you listen,” he gently pulled your head to him until he bottomed out.
Wrenching away a thick line of spit stuck to your tongue and his flesh. You gawked at him, face inching closer.
“Open,” he demanded.
A ball of warm saliva landed in the back of your throat. Mixing with your own. It ended up on his pale length.
“That’s my good girl,” he helped you up, “now, the next step in our exercise.”
Kakashi’s hand slapping against your ass sent a noisy echo bouncing off the trees. Shikamaru’s nails dug in the bark. How could you commit such lewd acts in such a public space. With another man that wasn’t him.
As angry as he was his erection commanded him to do the same. His hand dove down rubbing himself. Thumb rotating around his tip. He wanted so bad to know what it felt like. Your lips wrapped around his dick.
Strokes getting quicker as his length grew he let out a low moan. Unable to hear it over your own it quickly caught the attention of the copy cat ninja.
They made eye contact instantly making the voyeur freeze. A smug grin formed on Kakashi’s lips after pressing them against the back side of your neck.
“I know baby I know. Gonna keep being good for daddy?”
“Mhm,” you hummed as he drilled you from behind.
Though he was caught being a definite pervert he couldn’t stop. Not after seeing those beautiful faces derived from pure pleasure. His dick twitched between his wet fingers.
His strokes grew quicker watching you get closer. Almost matching each others pace. Strings of cum collected in the corner of his hand. Disgusted with himself he carefully left from there.
“Just like that daddy’s so close,” he slammed his hips into your ass. He got in a couple more strokes then pulled out. His nut painted the ground in the middle of his feet.
You kissed him as he pet the side of your head, “thank you for being a good girl today. You will be good in the future yeah?”
You wrapped your arms around him, “only if we can do this more often.”
He smiled, adjusting your mask, “of course.”

-How You Make Me Feel-
-This is my first time using this, so please don’t judge if I do something wrong lol-
Tumblr media
You looked up at the slowly dimming sky through the two holes in your Black Ops mask. You were currently on a ANBU mission with your teammates Saruna and Kakashi. They could be heard talking in the background, and it made you smile. Having them on the mission was more than you could ask for, considering the circumstances.
They were tasked with assassinating a dangerous hit man from the island of the Land of the Waves, who was seeking to destroy the region by taking out the leader and taking over the economy. Just hearing of him made you shudder; he had to be stopped.
“Y/n!” You heard Saruna call your name, and you turned around to look at her. Her long, black hair hung slightly over her blue dog-shaped mask, hiding her face completely due to her hair also covering up the side openings of the mask. “Come help us gather firewood.”
You sighed, peeling yourself away from the content spot you were at, walking over and bending to snatch up a few twigs. You bent over once more, going to grab a larger limb, when Kakashi’s hand came into view, going for the same one. You chuckled, withdrawing and letting him get it. He, however, didn’t make a sound.
You cocked your head at him after straightening. Was something up? He was just joking with Saruna a minute ago. Nevertheless, you walked over to the large tent you guys had pitched, dropping the firewood not too far from it and stepping inside the tent.
“Where are you going?”, Saruna asked behind your back.
“Just fixing up dinner. I’ll call you once I’m done.” You heard her make a satisfied grunt, and you smiled. Walking over to your bag, you pulled out pre-made ramen and some grapefruit. Laying out a towel, you placed the food on it. Next you grabbed three wooden cups from the bag, placing them down as well. Grabbing a bowl, you exited the tent in search of clean water.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You returned to the tent, clean water sloshing slightly over the bowl’s side. Pouring it into each cup, you put the remaining to the side and walked back to the opening of the tent, peeking your head out. Both Saruna and Kakashi noticed you. “Dinner’s ready. Wash your hands.”, you said simply. And with that, you withdrew your head back into the tent.
You heard Saruna scoff, saying, “She’s not my mother.” Kakashi’s rumbling chuckle followed, and you rolled your eyes. But you still heard their voices fade as they walked down to the river, despite Saruna’s protests.
They soon returned, and after everyone had sat, they took off their masks and began to eat. Saruna’s smile reached from ear to ear as she carefully watched Kakashi pick up his chopsticks to eat. You already knew that it was impossible to see Kakashi eat, as he would just shove the contents into his mask too quickly to comprehend. But Saruna hadn’t witnessed it yet, so you were going to let her.
As predicted, his hand moved with lightning speed, and the ramen was gone from between the pinched chopsticks within a second. Saruna sighed, her gaze lowering to the food below her. You and Kakashi couldn’t help but laugh, and after a moment, she joined in, too.
The meal soon wrapped up, and you got up to use the restroom. Excusing yourself, you left the tent and disappeared into the underbrush. Emerging after finishing your business, you gazed up at the sky, which was now a shade of dark purple, going on black. Silver stars winked in and out of your vision, and the moon was almost completely visible. It was truly a breathtaking sight.
“Y/n.” You turned to look at Kakashi, who had emerged from the tent, his mask back on. “Saruna is taking care of the leftover food and dishes; I’m going to take the first watch. You two decide on the second.” His voice sounded oddly strained, even a little tense. What was up with him? He had been like this the entire mission so far, two days to be exact. Saruna said it was uncharacteristic of him, and he hadn’t acted like this during the last mission.
That made you suspicious alone, as you hadn’t been on that mission in particular; someone had taken your place on the team. In fact, you hadn’t been on any of the missions since wintertime, since you had broken your wrist during combat. Was it you?
Clearing those thoughts from your head, you nodded to the silver-haired man, walking past him and into the tent. You would ponder on this later; for now you would focus on the present.
You helped Saruna finish packing back up and getting ready for tomorrow’s travels, plus laying out the sleeping mats. Saruna hadn’t yet put her mask back on, even though she should have already, so you saw her blush as you pushed the straw mats together. She obviously wasn’t keen on sleeping that close to Kakashi, even if it was for warmth and precaution, so you offered to sleep between them two.
Saruna was new to the ANBU Black Ops; she had just joined a few months back, about right before you had broken your wrist. She had been your childhood friend since birth. It was a shame when her mother died and she had fallen into depression. That was why you had suggested she join the ANBU, as she was already a Jonin and the missions would help her move on from the tragedy. Now that she was here, it also gave you a second wind of motivation; you wouldn’t let anything happen to her, no matter what the cost.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It had only been ten minutes after saying goodnight to her that you heard Saruna snoring beside you. She must have been pretty worn out from traveling today. You two had agreed on the watch times; you were lucky. She would be taking the second watch, you the third. At first she hadn’t wanted to, as she didn’t want to have to fall asleep twice, but after some persuasion, it was settled that you would be taking the second watch the following night. Saruna had then told Kakashi the watch times.
You listened to the chirping of crickets and the sound of the wind rushing and weaving between the trees. As you slowly revolved around topics in the back of your mind, the whole Kakashi subject came to you. You had told yourself that you would come back to it later, so now was the time.
Let’s see, what could have ticked him off enough to where he was practically ignoring you? Well, you had stolen his porn book the one time he came over to see you at the hospital. Nah, he wouldn’t still be upset over that. What about when you wrote in ink on his mask the one night he fell asleep over at your place? No, you ended up washing it. You couldn’t think of anything else, and you sighed, frustration blooming within you.
Time had gone by for sure, but you weren’t sure how much until you saw Kakashi emerge from behind the flaps at the entrance of the tent. He walked over to Saruna, you observed, and shook her shoulder gently. She awoke with a snort, rolling over and immediately sitting up.
“Danger?!”, she half-whispered, half-yelped. She obviously wasn’t used to ANBU missions yet.
“No, no.”, Kakashi murmured to her. “I just woke you up for your watch.” Saruna slumped slightly at this, evidence of relief sketched onto her face. Kakashi helped her up after a moment, and she put on her mask, shuffling outside.
You felt Kakashi lie down beside you, and you pretended to sleep, but it was no use. He must have seen you awake, because after a moment, he whispered into the darkness, “Y/n? Are you awake?” You stayed quiet, seeing if he would leave you alone, but he just persisted. “Y/n, I know you’re awake.”
“Then why did you ask?”, you finally said, opening your eyes and turning onto your back. Of course you already knew, as it was out of courtesy, but it was still the point.
When he didn’t answer, you turned on your side to face him and was met with his masked face and eyes. He looked shocked, then you noticed a blush peeking out from underneath the piece of cloth. So, was that why he was so quiet? Or was it something else? Either way, you were going to find out.
“Hey, Kakashi?”, you said, looking down. You could almost hear his eyebrows raise.
“Mhm?”, he replied.
You took a breath, then asked, “What did I do to you that you are ignoring me?” You heard him suck in a breath, and you knew you screwed up right away asking. “N-Not in a rude way, but-”
“Y/n.”, Kakashi said, grasping your chin softly and forcing it to look up and into his eyes, one deep red with a scar running over it. The Sharingan. “You have done nothing wrong to me.” You felt your eyebrows raise, both at the sudden contact of skin and the fact that he said that. Then what was wrong?
“But then why-”, you started, but he cut you off.
“I’m not ignoring you.”, Kakashi quickly said. “Y/n, don’t ever think that. The truth is I-I’m shy.” This shocked you. Kakashi was shy? “I missed you on our missions, Y/n. Man, the things you do to me that make me long for you.” He rubbed his thumb across your lower lip and raised his other hand to push the hair out of your face.
You were too paralyzed to stop him from touching you this intimately, but then again, you didn’t want him to stop, either. Secretly, deep down, you kind of longed for him, too. And when you were unable to participate in the missions, it made you long for both him and Saruna as well.
Kakashi slowly leaned into you, wrapping his arms around your waist. You followed suit, except around his neck. He crashed his lips with yours, mask and all, and you didn’t pull away. Well, except for when you took your hand and pulled his mask down. Then you kissed him and didn’t pull away.

I am a 25-year-old, bisexual, cis white woman. I try my best at writing things for a diverse audience, but I may not be able to fully expound upon certain experiences. Feel free to ask for authors that may be able to fit what you're looking for better, and I will do my best to find you one! My reader-inserts are female, but I do not include ANY descriptions. I can write gender neutral, if it is requested. I'd prefer not to write the reader as male, since that is not what I am familiar with.
Minors and ageless blogs, do not interact with any NSFW posts. I do not solely post NSFW so this space isn't necessary unwelcome, but it is present and you should proceed with caution.

I love to rant and talk about the things I love, so feel free to talk to me about them, either anon or not!
