Ok so so so
The thing about KOBAB and QOMAM is. Aside from the amazing premise even if the delivery is... underwhelming and the Black protagonist. I love the low-key villain arc?
Adrian and Isolde really said "getting revenge makes us just as bad as the people who wronged us? Awesome we suffered too much so let's be the most powerful people around" and it's FUN. Don't get me wrong, they care about people to some degree. But ultimately what they want is power and they will murder any and everyone who gets in their way. Scarlett St. Clair literally said on tiktok that writing Adrian's POV is hard because he's NOT morally gray but straight up evil. This is Isolde's corruption arc! They are the villains! And it's so fun lol

Hi booklr!
Welcome to my page, EmoBookGirly here. Let’s get to know each other. I’m 24 and from Canada.
I love romance. Dark romance, and romantasy would have to be my faves, although I really love a short and sweet rom com here and there. A palate cleanser if you will.
Your girl LOOOOVES vampires. A morally grey shadow daddy, yes please.
As you probably already know from my bio, I love emo music. If you’d call it that. Bring me the horizon and bad omens are my loves.
I really enjoy drawing portraits when I’m not reading. Band members mainly. (It’s not a phase mom I swear)
A few of my favourite books are:
1. Birthday girl - Penelope Douglas
2. The cat and mouse duet - H.D Carlton
3. Hooked - Emily McIntire
4. King of Battle and Blood - Scarlett St. Clair
5. Filthy rich vampire - Geneva Lee
I’ve wanted to make this page for a while in hopes of connecting with some like minded book worms! Why not start the new year off right eh? Please feel free to message and interact! I look forward to see where this goes!

Do you mind if I ask you for book/series recs? I’ve read most of the “major” ones—FBAA, ACOTAR, TOG, The Plated Prisoner, Kingdom of the Wicked, Folk of the Air—but I’m always looking for more, and you seem to read a lot of books similar to these!
Oh ok yeah off the top my head if you enjoyed the one's you mentioned above then you might like some of these
The Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L Jensen You've probably already read this one but in case you haven't I def recommend! I loveee this series! It's arranged marriage, enemies to lovers and it does those tropes to perfection *chefs kiss*
A Darker Shade of Magic by V E Schwab Great series, great characters. A bit different from some of these others if you want something a little different/more original. I don't even really know how to describe it in a quick sentence but it's good. Look out for my dark sad boy Holland and my fave swashbuckling pirate Alucard but the main characters Kell and Lila are great too!
King of Battle and Blood by Scarlett St Clair Another enemies to lovers. An "evil" Vampire King and a Princess who's forced into an arranged marriage with him to protect her Kingdom from him and his vampire army. Only the first book's out at the moment but the second comes out in December. Oh and it's steamy!! Definitely no slow burn here
These Hollow Vows by Lexi Ryan This one has all the classics: curses, secrets, betrayals, hot fae Princes. Basically the MC has to travel to the fairy realm to find her sister who was sold by her horrible aunt to the evil Unseelie King, where she's pulled into the games of two rival fae Princes
The Winner's Trilogy by Marie Rutkoski I adore this series! I mention it every single time someone asks me for recs. It's another enemies to lovers and it's beautifully written and nuanced. An absolute fave!
